A time spent in the world within herself had caused the Shinigami to forget her time within reality itself. The towering buildings that she had never seen before. The starry night sky looming radiantly over head. The darkened streets of the city that only illuminated the few kindled buildings brighter than usual. So much that Schala had to explore as access to her Inner World became almost second nature. Back beneath the trees within the wilderness training area of the Gotei Thirteen's Barracks, the Shinigami spent much of her time as a figurative statute, training her mind and body to separate itself from the realm she resided in, and ventured further into her own spirit. Upon doing so, the difference in time was astounding.
The spirit that inhabitated the Inner World did not reveal itself as it normally would have, suggesting to Schala that there was no need for his presence. Into the dark veil beyond the boundary of the lightened buildings only remained the stillness that was only expressed in the lifeless terrain. All was quiet with nothing to show any instance of life. It mattered not how far she walked, or how brazen she was in her cries for a response, resulting in the same manner as the lifeless terrain gave her before; nothing. When remembering what the Academy had explained about the Zanpakutou, about its awakening, was that it took shape and form based on its wielder's own spirit. A reflection of the Shinigami taken physical form as the Zanpakutou took on during a Shikai, expressing itself further with what it was capable of doing. Schala did not understand the meaning behind the jagged form that her Shikai had bestowed upon her, nor what it was capable of. Thus, she pondered further as she sought for answers.
"Perhaps, I will not find the answer inside. Not yet at least." Despite her ventures within the Spirit of her Zanpakutou did nothing to verify nor denounce her theories. He remained silent as did the city. Perhaps there was something more to it. Looking at the saw resemblance of her blade the girl took a firm grasp of the weapon, before she began to initiate another series of movements. Darting her slanted figure forward, prancing inch by inch in terms of footwork, the tip of the blade stabbed with short bursts in the same direction. The imaginary enemy before her, pictured as she narrowed it within her sights deflecting in similar form to herself.
The image matched her speed, jerking forward with the same level of precision as Schala had committed. The blade was heavy. Its larger form restricted her movements as she was committed to earlier in terms of Fencing. The Shikai itself had changed from the slender Rapier form she was use to, and into that of a near full fledged double-edged sword. Slender in shape when looking at the blade, but still retaining much of its hilt frame when it came to its Sealed Form. The image of her foe darted forward a step, two steps inward to enter into the Shinigami's domain. Schala shifted the height of her handling, casting the sides of her blade downward as to swipe the tip of her enemy's weapon away from her as she immediately retaliated with a stabbing motion forward. Her foe side stepped as the two blades collided, skimming across each other's surface.
Sparks flared as the two blades ran down the other, with spiraling motions to capture the other's momentum. A disarming technique, Schala recognized, as her figure withdrew feeling the weight of her weapon beginning to downcast her handling further down than the Shinigami favored. Her blade was growing heavy. A sigh subconsciously left her lips, taking the moment to adjust her handling once more with a more relaxed grip. This was something that Schala would have to take into account once again.
