Toki's classes had started again after more than three decades, the return student virtually having to relearn everything from the bottom up all over again. While the most obvious was relearning how to use a sword with one arm, Toki also had to relearn her kido lessons again as well. So far, her lessons on kido had mostly been lectures about the uses, the different types of kido and safety concerns the instructor had for the students. While training alone was not forbidden training outside the academy training grounds and even then, only with another student or shinigami for safety reasons. With that in mind she had roped Taiyo into helping her, the small woman pestering without stop until he agreed to join her lessons as well.
Arriving early to set up the targets and retrieve the kido manuscripts Toki took her time as she waited for Taiyo, her eyes reading over the manuscript again on how to use kido for her. The two piles of manuscripts in front of her were for each of them, each of them having a bit of each depending on what they might want to practice using. The only real difference in the two piles was that hers had different technique for using them the other one, her injury made it, so Toki only had a single reiatsu vent rather than the normal two most Shinigami had. Hers were considered for advanced students who wanted to weave kido into their sword play, rather than instructions for someone injured like Toki.
Knowing she would fall behind if she did not take extra lessons like this Toki let out a sigh as she waited for Taiyo to arrive, the small woman trying the suppress the small nagging feeling that he might be napping somewhere instead of keeping his promise. Despite the feeling she had in her gut she knew from experience that Taiyo was normally quite good on keeping his promises, more so when someone needed his help but despite this the feeling refused to go away entirely as she grumbled to herself. With effort Toki looked at the scrolls in order to distract herself, her mind focusing entirely on script as she awaited his arrival.
