Circumstances: Directly following the events of Civilian Interference, Rose learns that Arcadus is actually an Arrancar, and questions his entire relationship with the man. A fight quicky ensues.

Shrugging off the duffel bag full of money, Arcadus turned to Rose. The half quincy had been important in solving that whole debacle at the bank, and, tossing him a stack of 1000 yen bills, "Well Rose, funny running into you in a place like this, but I'm afraid I've got other matters to attend to, and likely so do you. The camera's have picked up both of us, so if we want to cover out tracks, I suggest we part ways for now. Let me know if anything comes up that you need my help with."

The lad had proved himself really capable on both of their encounters, but maybe a bit too cautious. Then again, perhaps he needed that kind of patience on his side, he was, even at his own admission, a bit reckless. As for what to do with him, keeping him around would be a good idea, he was a talented crafter and incredibly creative, so having some one like him on call would be good, especially if he was going to be making premier weapons for his noble house projects. 

Keeping him at a distance now, however, might prove more useful. Keeping in touch and growing interest would be the smarter decision, especially as it would allow Rose to see him grow in power and make, what he would understand as a conscious decision to join Arcadus, rather than a near threat of a job offer. As for making the ryo matter, he should probably disappear the mortal way, speeding away, rather than just up and vanishing, but he was going to have to dump the cash.

"You're doing good work with Kitai, keep it up. I really like this scabbard gun, great stuff using the ability to shrink down things by using extra spacial compressions, and the ability to fire out a sword is hilarious. Fantastic stuff, and I like what you did on the purification blades. Good to stick it to the reapers, show them they aren't the only ones with that kind of ability. " Praise was always important, and as much as Arcadus wanted to just go, it was important to acknowledge Rose if they wanted to win him over. 

In reality, considering how much commotion was caused, it wasn't like this was going to matter. He may as well leave now and just be done with this. Making the most of his time was important, and he wasn't going to waste his time with a cover story none but the few who were able to track spirituals were going to notice. Besides, they were his audience for things like his supersoldier program he had in mind. Aaaah, good times were going to start soon.

"I'm needed in Los Noches, and I really don't want to cause any more of a stir than I already have. If you're going to need anything, call this number, and ask for Jane, she'll patch you over to me unless I'm off world." In the stack of bills, a black and red business card had poked out, with a solid, bright red border and text shining out from the tan of the bills. On it was a number for South Georgia, USA. Turning, swishing his white gold robe as he did, Arcadus threw the bag of cash through a gargaunta and began to step through it.

"Well Rose, funny running into you in a place like this, but I'm afraid I've got other matters to attend to, and likely so do you. The camera's have picked up both of us, so if we want to cover out tracks, I suggest we part ways for now. Let me know if anything comes up that you need my help with." Rose simply nodded. Truthfully, Arcadus was right on the matter; they both needed to get out of there while they could. If nothing else, getting off of the crime scene was going to be essential for now.

As Arcadus continued to speak, Rose listened intently. "You're doing good work with Kitai, keep it up. I really like this scabbard gun, great stuff using the ability to shrink down things by using extra spatial compressions, and the ability to fire out a sword is hilarious. Fantastic stuff, and I like what you did on the purification blades. Good to stick it to the reapers, show them they aren't the only ones with that kind of ability." Truthfully, he was glad to hear the praise. It wasn't often he got complimented on his work.

"I'm glad you think so, Arcadus," he said, placing his hand on his left hip, "those kind words mean more to me than I could really begin to describe, y'know? It's not often that I've heard praise like that, so it really helps to warm my heart. If you'd ever like something custom done, just let me know and I'll see what I can do, 'kay? It's always a pleasure working with you, Arcadus, this kind of stuff is the least I can do for you."

"I'm needed in Las Noches, and I really don't want to Arcadus' words trailed far out of Rose's mind after he heard mention of Las Noches. His hand twitched at his hip, as he drowned out whatever else Arcadus had to say. There was no way. There was absolutely, positively no FUCKING way that Arcadus was an Arrancar. It couldn't be true. He... he refused to believe it!

"Nothing but lies..." Rose muttered to himself, "lies, lies lies LIES LIES!" His voice quickly turned into a pained shout, watching Arcadus open up the Garganta in front of him. Unfortunately, that all but confirmed it. He'd seen clear as fucking day; Arcadus was, in fact, an Arrancar. The very thought of the time he'd spent working alongside an Arrancar made him feel sick to his fucking stomach.

Wasting no time and drawing the ebony twin of his two pistols, Rose promptly loaded a magazine of anti-material rounds into the gun, pulled the slide back, and fired a round into the Arrancar's shoulder. Moving his leg back, and taking a more steady stance, Rose stared down Arcadus as residual smoke continued to slowly pour from the end of the gun's barrel. His breath was ragged; far more ragged than he'd like to admit, given the circumstances. He felt both nervous, and horribly fucking betrayed.

Infinity Style - Taking traits from the weapon-focused style of Kendo while also working to incorporate swift, aggressive strikes from a Shinigami's Hakuda, Aldwin has started developing a weapon-based martial art he's named Infinity Style. Infinity Style focuses predominantly on swift, well-timed attacks with as many different weapons as the user can comfortably maintain control over at a given time. Generally, these weapons will be scattered around the battlefield, primed to be used as the user wishes. Being a weapon-focused style, the martial art also incorporates a healthy amount of disarming attacks, and attacks while disarmed.

{Ichi - Class 2}
Rose’s first puppet, modeled after the Nakabakki girl he found underneath the Abandoned Warehouse. The puppet itself is rather plain in appearance, with with a facial structure that looks vaguely feminine based on the way that the puppet itself was carved. Atop its head is golden blonde synthetic hair, generally resting to cover one eye. The puppet's "clothing", if it can be called that, consist of dark gray cape-like rags that cover its entire body. Spring-loaded underneath her left arm, Ichi houses a full-sized katana ready to pop out and be grabbed by her at a moment's notice. Built into her right hand, Ichi houses different lockpick heads underneath each finger, ready to be deployed at a moment's notice.

Description: A customizable spiritually-reinforced puppet designed to the user's choice. These puppets have a plentiful amount of uses, whether it be for combat or for uses on the side for whatever you could imagine.

Upon purchase, choose a type of Spirit Puppet between Combat and Utility. Combat Puppets are focused around being used to fight, whereas Utility Puppets are focused more on out-of-combat applications and utility uses in a fight. Depending on the choice, the IP and Durability of the Spirit Puppet will change.

After choosing a Type, choose a size between Small, Medium, or Large. Small Combat Puppets range from 6 inches to 3 feet in size, and have an IP of 100 + 100/Class (Max: 800). Medium Combat Puppets range from 3 to 6 feet in size, and have an IP of 300 + 100/Class (Max: 1,000). Large Combat Puppets range from 6 to 9 feet in size, and have an IP of 500 + 100/Class (Max: 1,200). A Combat Puppet’s Strength is equal to its IP, and its speed is equal to half its IP. Utility Puppets have these IP values reduced by 25%.

Puppets are also made up of various different upgrades. Depending on the type of puppet purchased, a certain number of Upgrade Points and Upgrade slots are obtained. Upgrades (sold separately) can be put into these Puppets, so long as the slots and points are able to be spent. While outside of combat, these upgrades can be changed freely.

Combat Puppets begin with 1 Utility Point, and 3 Weapon Points. Depending on the Class of the Puppet, a certain amount of Utility and Weapon Points will be given in order to socket a Spirit Puppet with Upgrades. For Utility Puppets, instead reverse the values for Utility Points and Weapon Points (At Class 3, a Utility Puppet would have 7 Utility Points and 3 Weapon Points).

In addition to these points, each Upgrade may also have a “slot” that it’s meant to socket into. Depending on the size of the Puppet, only a certain number of Upgrades may be attached to those slots. A Small Puppet has 0 Head Slots, 2 Limb Slots, and 2 Chest Slots. A Medium Puppet has 1 Head Slot, 3 Limb Slots, and 2 Chest Slots. A Large Puppet has 2 Head Slots, 3 Limb Slots, and 3 Chest Slots. Upgrades cannot exceed the Upgrade Points or Slots that a Puppet has access to. Unlike other items, Puppets can be upgraded as a character advances in Class. This costs half the Ryo it would cost to purchase a Puppet of that class (Upgrading from Class 2 to Class 1 would cost 13,000 Ryo to do).

Drawbacks:

Utilizing Spirit Puppets require some kind of item or technique capable of creating spiritual wire or strings of some kind, like Ransotengai or Advanced Air Arsenal: Air Strings. If using a Spirit Puppet with Ransotengai, though, the IP of these puppets are not halved if Ransotengai is mastered. If those strings break, the puppet in question is left inoperable for the remainder of the post, unless the user is actively controlling said Puppet with two hands. If a Spirit Puppet's durability is reduced to 0, every Upgrade currently slotted into the Puppet will immediately break. Puppets are still rather big, and without a proper method of storing them they will be incredibly cumbersome to carry around. Unless stated otherwise, the same Upgrade cannot be socketed more than once. Considering they affect how a Spirit Puppet is produced, once an Upgrade is slotted in, it cannot be removed.

Name: Angel's Requiem
Description: An unassuming sidearm with a powerful kick associated with it. The weapon itself can take any appearance the purchaser decides on, so long as the weapon remains as some kind of pistol or pistol-equivalent.

Bonuses: When these bullets land their mark, a small shockwave is generated from the round it makes contact with, and strikes the target with a powerful, physical punch. The shockwave's Offensive Strength is equal to half the IP of the fired round. When struck against a target that has the ability to move, the bullet itself provides a rather powerful kick behind it; if someone is fired at from below, this shockwave is enough to push them upward just a bit, and might even potentially "juggle" them in the air, hence the weapon's name. Ten rounds are stored in the gun's magazine, before needing to be reloaded.
Drawbacks: Requires a Firearms License to be purchased, and the shockwaves generated are not very powerful.

Description: A set of specially-crafted rounds with carbide spiritual-steel cores. Each round excels at penetrative power and raw destructive potential, making them a gunslinger's best friend when looking to pierce through, well, really anything.

Bonuses: Anti-Material Rounds are phenomenal tools when used for breaking through items and defensive techniques. When relying on penetrative power in order to break through those, the IP of this item is treated as 50% higher for the purpose of breaking through those defenses and for calculating damage to durability. This does not increase the damage that these rounds do to living beings. Each purchase of Anti-Material Rounds comes as one magazine to be used with any firearm available to a user. If the firearm used does not have a specified magazine size, purchase of this item comes with eight (8) rounds. Putting these rounds into a firearm increases the IP of the firearm by the IP of these bullets, much like Urahara's firearms.
Drawbacks: These rounds are consumable; once used, they are lost, regardless of thread type. Firing these rounds from a weapon costs 50 durability, +50 durability per class of these rounds. Anti-Material Rounds can only be loaded into a firearm of equal or higher class.

{Gunman's Cloak - Class 2}
Name: Gunman's Cloak
Description: A plain black, seemingly tattered short cape that rests tied around the wearer's shoulders and upper body. This cape allows the wearer to seemingly slip into darkness, and reappear nearest to weapons that have left their grip or had been fired recently.

Bonuses: The Gunman's Cloak can bind itself to one item, increased by one item per class. Scabbards or other item holders also include the items that they store as one collective item; the same is said for firearms and the bullets they fire. Once per post, the wearer can make use of an in-built step technique for 200 reiatsu. Moving at 10x their speed, the wearer can disappear in shadow, and reappear directly next to one of the items bound to the Gunman's Cloak. Should they desire, they can immediately make use of this item if possible.
Drawbacks: Items bound to the Gunman's Cloak cannot be changed in the midst of combat. Reiatsu cost. Relies on other items to be useful, requiring both a Ryo investment and proper setup in order to get the most out of this item. Movement through the Gunman's Cloak is not teleportation; it merely makes the wearer invisible for the duration of the step. Anyone with 200 or more Energy Sensory can easily locate the wearer, reduced by 100 for every point in Focused-Eye or Anti-Stealth that someone has.

{Scabbard Cannon - Class 2}
Name: Scabbard Cannon
Description: This is an item that functions quite well with many of the same kind of weapon. The Scabbard Cannon takes the shape of a golf bag-esque “scabbard”, and can hold up to a certain number of the same kind of weapon within it. Because of the weapons this thing can hold, they can range in size from that of a normal scabbard, or much, much larger. At any given point, the user can forcibly cause these weapons to fire from the cannon either one at a time, or all at once.

Item Power (IP): 75% of one of the paired weapon’s IP.
Offense Type: Physical
Durability: 1.75x the durability of one of the paired weapons.
Bonuses: Upon purchase, a weapon that the buyer currently owns 5 or more of that are all the same class must be selected. The Scabbard Cannon is then made to fit those items only, and is required to be the same Class as those weapons. By channeling 50 reiatsu through the Cannon, a single weapon can be fired from the cannon at a desired location, flying at a speed of 600 in a straight line. Multiple weapons can be fired at once with a cost of 300 Reiatsu, whether three weapons or twenty are being fired. For two or less weapons being fired at once, the cost is still 50 reiatsu per weapon. Up to twenty total weapons can be stored in a Scabbard Cannon at once. If fired directly upwards, the weapons will disperse randomly throughout the area as they fall, covering a five-foot radius around the user, expanding outward by five feet for every additional class above 7 the scabbard cannon is. The scabbard cannon can also be swung as a standalone melee weapon, with it being stronger than a normal scabbard, but still not as strong as the weapons inside of it. A Scabbard Cannon filled with weapons counts as one item for the purpose of anything that might require that.

By spending 200 reiatsu, a wielder can condense a Scabbard Cannon down into a shape that holds only one blade, or back to normal for the same cost. While a blade is sheathed in a Scabbard Cannon this way, so long as the user is holding onto the sheathed sword when they fire, they can swing that blade from the draw Iaijutsu-style at seven times their own Speed. This action counts a stepping technique, similarly to techniques like Shunpo Karin, Sonido Garra, or others. This still follows standard stepping technique limitations, and every consecutive use of this technique burns an additional 50 reiatsu per use, and consumes 100 durability after the second use, doubling this durability damage every time after the first that it's used in the same post.
Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost to use its desired effect. Once chosen, the items compatible with a scabbard cannon cannot be changed later on.

{x20 Purification Blade - Class 2}
Name: Purification Blade
Description: Upon purchase, this weapon takes the shape of any bladed weapon the purchaser chooses. From there, it functions like a normal weapon, much like the standard Spiritual Steel weapons sold at Urahara’s. However, unlike those, this weapon is seen as an asset of sorts to those looking to stay on good terms with Shinigami; this weapon is able to purify souls, and perform Konso, even if the user isn’t normally a Shinigami.

Bonuses: Aside from this weapon functioning like a normal Spiritual Steel weapon, Purification Blades allow the user to perform Konso on those deemed necessary, essentially aiding Shinigami. This weapon will purify hollows when used, and can send souls to Soul Society; or, in the case of someone having committed sin, will condemn those slain to hell if these sins weigh heavy enough.

[Arcadus]

While Arcadus could hear Rose, he had mostly tuned him out, as he was heading in towards his gargaunta, as his voice raised to a shout, Arcadus whirled around. Rose was drawing a weapon, and, flexing his torso, Arcadus felt a round punch through his hierro, and as his steel silk was not on him, had buried itself in his skin, not making it past his musculature, a pair of rounds struck him in the shoulder, the flesh wound bleeding. It hurt, but not nearly as much as he had expected. His muscles had taken the brunt of it, and looking at Rose, a hurt expression crossed his face. 

"Rose, lying to you? You didn't really give me much of a choice. I had every intention of telling you when you were ready, but if this is how you're going to react after something like this, after we both save some innocent humans from certain danger? I guess you aren't going to be reasonable about these kinds of things. Well, it's not exactly fair to fight you like this, so, I will be only using this" Pulling out of his robe, Arcadus took out a katana, a spiritual steel blade. 

"It wouldn't be fair to fight you with anything more, and I value a fair fight. If you want to keep doing this, I guess we can part as enemies. But Im not exactly interested in that. You're an incredible person Rose, and a great talent in most areas. If this is how you want to throw away your life, on your hatred of what I am, rather than who I am, so be it." Taking his stance, Arcadus gripped his sword in his left hand, taking half of the Niten Itch Ryu stance, a flat footed, relaxed posed, with the wielder being directly facing the opponent. "You can walk away now Rose."

"You can walk away now Rose." Gripping his gun ever-tighter, Rose glared angrily toward Arcadus. His words cut like knives, after everything that had just happened. "Walk away?!" He shouted, his voice ragged from emotion, "you expect me to just walk away?! After you betrayed me like that?" Firing off another shot into the Arrancar, hoping to penetrate with the same amount of force as before. His rounds were certainly able to pack a punch, that much was certain.

Shoving his gun back into its holster, Rose prepared to bring out his newest weapon; grabbing behind him, and tossing the cloth-wrapped contraption out in the space between the two of them, Rose took a leap backward, and attached spiritual strings to the wooden person in front of them. Just as quickly as it'd been tossed out, the wooden pupped came to life. If Arcadus got a good look at the puppet's face, he'd see it as vaguely human in appearance; clearly modeled after an actual person, but not so much that it looked uncanny.

"I've been waiting a long time to be able to use this," Rose said, pulling his arms back toward him, "just didn't expect it'd be on you." As his arms moved back, the puppet followed in suit, quickly putting some distance between itself and Arcadus. With a flick of his left index finger, and the moving of a spiritual string, a thin katana fell from the puppet's sleeve, quickly locking into its hand. Once again moving his arms, Rose forced them forward toward Arcadus.

As one could've expected, the puppet charged forward at a speed of 450; that was as fast as Rose could feasibly command the wooden person, and he'd be damned if he was going to do anything less. As the puppet cleared the distance once more, Rose was going to command the puppet to perform quite inhumane attacks against Arcadus; things that would otherwise be impossible due to the nature of joints and general movement. Slashing straight downward through his center, followed by a full spin of the puppet not unlike that of a top, recentering itself and aiming for a diagonal slash starting from Arcadus' bottom right and raking upward and to the left.

After that second slash, he'd command the puppet to pull backward ever so slightly, and ram its sword forward, looking to pierce straight into the Arrancar's chest if given quarter to do so. He wasn't going to hold anything back if he could help it; against a high-priority target like this? He couldn't afford to. Doing so would be borderline suicide. He needed to stay on the top of his game; there was no telling when Arcadus would return the favor.

The bullet, similar to the last one, lodged itself in his opposite shoulder, Arcadus winced. He certianly had the strength to negate them, but the speed was a problem, though the issue was somewhat negated as Rose threw the gun back in its holster, revealing his new toy. As for what it was, some kind of wood golem? Valeron had whispered in his mind, and sensing for some kind of animating stone or tag, Arcadus could see the blue-white wires coming off of it. 

As Rose's words flashed across his mind, betrayal, he had hardly betrayed him, simply obfuscated an obvious sore spot about thier relationship. A lie, yes, but one meant to pave over any kind of troubles being entirely truthful might have caused. As for the claws baring in on him, his steel silk took the damage, parts of his bodysuit becoming ripped and torn, his cloak falling away to reeveal a black clad physique. Gripping his sword, Arcadus swung in a flat half circle, finding the doll at the tip. While he wasn't cutting through it, his blade would cut in, and the force from his arm, throwing it to the side.

"Rose, I never wanted to bring a kind of wedge between us like this. As for why and who I am, we don't chose who we are born as, or what we have to do to survive. I'm an Arrancar, yes, but that doesn't change me. I've always been me, and you deciding that you suddenly need to kill me because of some detail of my soul seems to be something you should think about. Arrancar are people, just like you, and your sorrid second half. You've got a lot of guts coming after me like this, but I'm not going to lay down and take it."

Arcadus's huge frame seemed to drop as he went slack, surging forward as his knees bent and threw himself at Rose at 300 speed, closing the gap in a flash. Similarly, the katana that had thrown away the wooden doll sparked as Arcadus swung it, tip slicing through the ground in a upward backhand. The strike itself was much slower, but turned as if to pass right infront of Rose, in an attempt to sever the strings at the end of the young man's finger tips. As for the opposite hand, clad in a red gold gauntlet, Arcadus grabbed the front of Rose's shirt. "We can still talk this out, or at least, you can tell me why you hate Arrancar."

As Ichi danced its blade against Arcadus' armor-clad form, Rose watched as his robes cut and ripped, falling to the street and revealing some sort of black bodysuit. What was that, some kind of protection? He couldn't really tell, but he was going to be damned if nothing was going to be done about it. He'd need to tear through it; somehow, some way. And, seemed as though he had a semblance of an idea regarding how he wanted to do exactly that. Smirking to himself, Rose noticed Arcadus quickly going on the offensive.

As he drew his sword, and swung toward the puppet, Rose threw his arms up, looking to clear the puppet into the air to keep it safe. And, it seemed he was mostly successful; given the puppet outsped the Espada's strike, it was going to take minimal damage and still remain in a somewhat usable state. That was good to hear, at least. Now, it was time to act! At least, that's what he would've done if he wasn't immediately distracted from Arcadus' own words. Seems he had something he wanted to say about their situation. The question was, did he have the mental willpower to hear him out?

As Arcadus finished speaking, Rose prepared himself to say something, but was rather quickly blindsided by the fact that the Espada was now beginning to move; notably faster than Rose himself could comfortably get away from given the circumstances. Drawing a blade from his Scabbard Cannon, and channeling his reiatsu through the blade itself, Rose did what he could to protect his body from the sword coming his way almost immediately. Unfortunately, Arcadus' strength was much, much larger than his own. Something he hadn't accounted for.

As the two of them clashed blades, Rose found himself, skirting backward, rolling along the ground in an aggressive fashion from the strike against him. Doing what he could to quickly catch himself, Rose grit his teeth and glared daggers toward the Espada. Adrenaline was starting to kick in rather notably; so much so, that he hadn't realized that the bones in his left arm had been fractured; after all, he wasn't some super-human like everyone he'd encountered thus far. He couldn't take a hit like them.

Allowing his arm to slink to his side, Rose shouted toward the Espada. "Get your story straight," he growled, "I don't hate you Hollows. My job here is to keep people safe from the lot of you. I'm not going to just sit idly by and work with one of you when, given you're attacking me, shows you're prone to violence." Drawing his firearm again with his right hand this time, Rose pointed it straight toward Arcadus. "I'm not going to stand for that!"

Disappearing into the shadows in an instant, Rose made quick utilization of his Gunman's cloak, disappearing from sight and appearing now behind Arcadus at 1150 Speed, and slightly off the ground; appearing next to the bullet currently lodged in his shoulder. Aiming downward, Rose looked to fire another set of rounds into Arcadus; this time, into his Achilles tendons. Given he'd figured out his rounds can penetrate the Arrancar's skin, he was going to take a gamble on a maneuver like this. Lord only hoped it worked.

Hearing Rose's words, Arcadus turned to look at the half breed. What arrogance, what petulance. But he should have expected this. They were a child, following childish notions. They had a blade to block his own, drawn from a similar mechanism. Did they have the same item from Kitai? And that sword, if felt, not too dissimilar to a Shinigami's weapon. Certainly that energy was there, that athenema to him. As his might forced Rose back, he could hear his words. 



Cutting as it was "I don't hate you Hollows. My job here is to keep people safe from the lot of you. I'm not going to just sit idly by and work with one of you when, given you're attacking me, shows you're prone to violence." rang hollow. This childre was throwing a tantrum, attempting to justify some lie about his pathetic beliefs, lies meant to control him. Chains were upon them, around his neck, his hands, his feet. Arcadus pitied him.


Watching the shadow step, Arcadus felt a thud in his calf, his body suit keeping it from his piercing, but buckling his leg regardless. Using the fall, Arcadus kipped up, effectively vaulting over Rose, leaveing a divet in the concrete where he had kicked. Practically hovering in the air, Arcadus turned to look down on Rose. The flutter of his robe turned kilt, his hair flowing like golden lines in the sun, Arcadus's voice echoed eerily against the concrete and glass of the alley. 


"Attacking? I'm defending myself, something you could expect from any creature, from ants to tigers. I think you're being very small minded about this. You shot me first, and I'm looking to remove your weapons, when I very well could have severed an arm, a leg, or your head. I'm not interested in killing you Rose. I'm someone who values those who can prove themselves, which everyone is theoretically capable of, and you are certianly able to. But this isn't the way I though you would react. Had I known how you would have reacted, I never would have spoken to you." 

Arcadus's form landed, and his stance held his sword in a nuetral sance, perfectly centered in a traditional two handed stance. Flexing his upper half, Arcadus prepared for bitter words and even more bitter blows. Breaking through was his option and as much as he could feel the desire to end this path in front of him and return to his own goals, there was something about this creature that he liked, something he could admire, and even sympathize with.
