-Basic Information-
Name: Corvus
Real Age/Age of Appearance: 1300/23
Birthday (Month/Day): 10/13
Blood Type: O Negative
RP Sample (Optional): [Insert Here]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5’8’’/130lbs
Physical Description:
Corvus stands with a proud and strong posture. He takes care of his appearance and so his body is normally well-groomed with a hint of fragrance. A feminine yet strong facial structure compliments his soft brow bone and frames his golden eyes well. His skin is absolutely pale to a degree of near sickness, and is relatively blemish-free. A thin nose is set above his full rosey lips. Long blonde hair hangs down well past his shoulders and chest. His hair is mostly straight and thin, with slight curls at the end. Normally, Corvus wears his long hair down over his shoulders, but in more physical situations, he would either put it up into a high pony tail or a messy bun.
At first glance, his face appears gaunt. While gaunt, his face is still pretty in the way sought after by models in the 2000s. His body is skinny in the way normally seen as concerning. It's a personal choice for him, but one he's made for himself out of appreciation for his own body type. Corvus is skilled with makeup, and can normally be seen wearing a light amount of concealer to cover the dark circles of undeath under his eyes. He could fix them with enough Reiatsu, but it's honestly less effort to just paint on a bit of makeup every now and again, decades of practice have given him his affinity for personal grooming.

Night/Darkness - The time of day that wouldn't cause his existence pain.
Flaws:
Anxious - Corvus has seen many situations go wrong. This is one of them.
Weak - Corvus is not a renowned fighter, he isn't that strong on his own.
Irritable - You'd think years of life would give patience, but he has little time for the ignorant.
Judgmental - Corvus has always been a judgmental guy, a long life would do that to a person.

Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Overall Personality:
Corvus is and old soul with a complicated history and personality. Born before the technological revolution, he has been with humanity through its history but is surprisingly not that wise. He loves the arts, frequently vising art museums, fashion shows, and wine tastings. Part of his charms have allowed him to weave his way into the upper circles of human society. With longevity naturally came riches. Compound interest is funny that way. Not having to spend money on food really does save up after almost an eternity. Corvus has had many identities over the years, identities that were necessary to keep up with his forever youth. He's had many careers, from being a model, playboy, painter, and even a heartthrob popstar that died an early death. He's seen the world in his years and appreciates every aspect of it.
Part of this appreciation comes in the form of his pacifism. While he definitely acted upon his vampiric desires for most of his life, his love for earth and its arts quickly came into conflict with his desire for blood and souls. At first, he limited himself to devouring the souls of criminals or those worth killing. This kept up for a few hundred years after his century of savage feasting. It was his own selfish justice, out of his love for humanity and hunger for it. He found, though, that his desire for savagery was quelled by his interest in the other thing humanity produced: Art. With this, he spent his years reading the greatest authors, patroning the greatest painters, and listening to the greatest musicians. He was particularly happy to witness Shakespeare's plays. Macbeth was his favorite.
What Corvus found, as humanity advanced, so did their savagery in turn. Wars got bloodier and turned into massacres as humanity advanced with their technology and weaponry. He saw for himself what the gun did to humanity as a whole when it began to be used. It hurt him to know that the people he loved so much were causing so much pain and suffering. Corvus was always interested in the sciences, but had never been to interested in it until one of his human companions had been conscripted into being a nurse for a war in modern times. Corvus accompanied her into the medical school and learned all about anatomy and everything he loved to taste and see for himself. Just because he abstained, didn't mean it didn't look appetizing every now and again.
Thousands of years have provided Corvus with an intimate knowledge of love, romance, and sex. It's a good way to pass the time, and Corvus is never one to deny a good romance. He's used to getting what he wants from men, and so he always does his best to comply with period typical expectations for the opposite sex. Anything to help increase the potency of his bount charms. If anything, it also provided him with a protective shield through the years of history. Corvus is not particularly manipulative in modern times, given how independence is common and human police usually provide all of the needed protection, but he still likes to get what he wants.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Powers- Vampiric Taxation
Fighting Style:
First and foremost, Corvus is not much of a fighter himself, he is more of a commander. With the abilities and powers to support this style, he is often found in the backlines of a battle firing off ranged attacks while taking care of his allies. He is not one to get all up in the action, choosing to disengage when confronted with a hostile if without the help of his dolls. Corvus prefers to not be bothered by battle, and in most circumstances where he is not feeding, will disengage from hostility out of honest laziness. That being said, he has been accustomed to human weaponry for years now, and is semi proficient with guns and other forms of gadgetry. If he had to use one, he'd probably wield a semi-automatic pistol. Something small, quaint, cute. Maybe a sword too.
For his dolls, however, he uses them to the benefit of his Allies. Crimson is Corvus' first doll. Manifested from his desire to heal humanity, this doll is extremely skilled in healing and combat medicine. With that in mind, it is very capable of healing in combat, usually taking Corvus' side at the backlines of a battle while casting blood magic to restore the vitality of his allies. Cain, Corvus' second doll, is more offensive in nature, providing spells, damage, and other effects to increase his and his team's offensive capability. Cain is a spellcaster style of fighter, using magic for large and fancy attacks. Cain is very protective of Corvus, and because of this, he tends to stay back in combat knowing the risk he can post to him.
With his dolls in mind, Corvus has developed a unique fighting style that defines him as an asset to have in a fight with all of the beneficial effects provided by his dolls. While he is not the strongest in a fight by himself, he doesn't usually find himself in that situation, but has the tools to deal with it for when those situations arise. Corvus is very stealthy when needed, and is thus capable of aiding his allies without drawing attention to himself.
Doll 1 Appearance and Overall Ability:
Crimson - Medic 1
When sealed, Crimson takes the form of an elegantly gilded steel dagger. Encrusted with rubies, it is both gaudy and beautiful. When called, Crimson transforms into a red vampire bat capable of speech, thought, and flight. Any targets bitten by Crimson or Corvus are designated as thralls and are given a visible mark of a red pair of bat wings above their head. Corvus and his dolls can have a maximum of three thralls at once, and cannot enthrall Corvus himself. Corvus' dolls count as thralls but do not contribute to the limit. Any healing done by Corvus or Crimson is shared by all of his thralls. Crimson's power focuses on healing others through the restoration of both body and soul. With this in mind, he is capable of healing both living and undead- essentially all forms of life. Corvus' thralls cannot bleed out and are impervious to bleeding damage while having an increased pain tolerance. To use their techniques, Crimson or Corvus are able to call from one of two sources at a time to fuel their techniques: Reiatsu or Blood.
Corvus shares Crimson's blood bank. Attacks from Corvus, Crimson, or any of his thralls generate Blood at an equivalent to the Reiatsu Cost of successful offensive techniques used. Blood functions as an alternate energy resource for Crimson and Corvus similar to Reiatsu, but costs 25% more to cast than if Reiatsu was used but with the same storage capacity. Corvus is capable of seeing through his Thralls, communicating with them telepathically, and sensing their location. (OOC Permission is required to be enthralled and is not permanent). Italicized effects are passive and do not require release.
Doll 1 Techniques: Blood Element (6/6)
Blood: Gift - 100 Reiatsu
Using either Reiatsu or Blood, Crimson sends a high-speed ball of blood towards an ally. On contact, this blood enters into the ally and rapidly heals them over the duration of one post. The scale of this healing is dependent on Crimson's Healing Expertise, but is highly concentrated given its single target. Those affected by this technique's healing having any negative status affliction caused by someone of similar Attack Strength are cleansed and are unable to be afflicted by similar status effects under the same conditions for three posts. Receiving healing from this technique increases a target's mobility and provides them with blood wings granting flight for three posts. While these wings are active, damage taken provides an amount of blood equal to the incoming technique's Attack Strength to Corvus. This technique uses Medical Expertise as its Attack Strength.
Limits: Gift requires line of sight for the orb to be cast and cannot pass through hostile barriers. This orb can be dodged if the target does not want to be healed. This healing creates the element of blood and may be taken advantage of by an enemy's abilities, removing their flight. Crimson must remain released for this technique to function. It is obvious when a target is under this effect due to the visual indicator.
Blood: Resonance - 100 Reiatsu
Using either Reiatsu or Blood, Crimson pulses out a wave of blood in a radius of 50m. This blood passes through all friendly targets and moderately heals them at 50% of Crimson's Healing Expertise given its unfocused nature. Those affected by this technique's healing having any negative status affliction caused by someone of similar Attack strength are cleansed and are unable to be afflicted by similar status effects under the same conditions for two posts. Receiving healing from this technique provides a durable blood aura that protects from one attack of similar Attack Strength. This technique uses Medical Expertise as its Attack Strength.
Limits: Resonance requires line of sight and has a travel time for the healing pulse. This pulse cannot go through walls. Given its unfocused nature, it cannot heal nearly as much as Blood: Gift. This healing creates the element of blood and may be taken advantage of by an enemy's abilities, removing their shield. Crimson must remain released for this technique to function. It is obvious when a target is under this effect due to the visual indicator.
Blood: Curse - 150 Reiatsu
Using either Reiatsu or Blood, Crimson infuses his vampiric energy into a target through a projectile blood spike, granting them the ability to heal themselves through combat at half the target's Attack Strength. This damage can be spiritual or physical in nature. While cursed, the target gains the visual effect of having ethereal red fangs attached to their weapon of choice while their veins glow a bright red. This curse lasts for four posts on the target. When cast, this technique also applies to any thralls. Targets affected by this curse will view the moon as glowing a dark red.
Limits: Healing generated through this curse is not shared with thralls. Crimson must remain released for this technique to function. This spike has travel time and can thus be dodged by the target. It is obvious when a target is under this effect due to the visual indicator.
Blood: Ritual - 400 Reiatsu
Using either Reiatsu or Blood, Crimson delves into his knowledge of the profane arcana to resurrect targeted remains. This techniques causes a pool of blood to appear underneath the remains, from which the reconstructed corpse will form into the healthy target as if decomposing in reverse. This technique occurs over a duration of three posts, and cannot be interrupted. Upon completion, the target will be instantly revitalized and will permanently become one of Corvus' thralls outside of his limit.
Limits: Crimson must have some piece of the intended target to begin the resurrection. The less Crimson has to work with, the longer Crimson has to spend channeling this technique. The death must have occurrd in the same thread. If interrupted, the resurrection will instantly cease and the target will drop back down into the pool of blood, only leaving the originally targeted material. While channeling, eldritch whispers will be heard nearby. Additionally, while this technique is being used, a large burst of Bount Reiatsu will be sent throughout the region, enough to be noticed by anybody sensitive to such signatures. Upon completion, Corvus and Crimson's blood bank will be instantly emptied and disabled for the remainder of the thread.
Blood: Borrow - 100 Reiatsu
Using either Reiatsu or Blood, Crimson gathers a sum of energy from their resource bank and provides it to a target through a bat-shaped blood projectile. This nullifies the resource cost of the target's next technique. This borrowed resource will last with the target for a maximum of three posts, but can only be used once. This effect is shared with all of Corvus' Thralls under the same conditions.
Limits: Crimson must have line of sight to provide the resource to his target, and the projectile cannot pass through walls. The target of this technique can dodge the projectile if unwanted. The target of this technique cannot choose when to use the free technique, as the credit is used upon their first technique use. Crimson must remain released for this technique to function. It is obvious when a target is under this effect due to the visual indicator. The cost of this technique cannot exceed Crimson's total Reiatsu.
Blood: Extension - 50 Reiatsu/Target/Post
Using either Reiatsu or Blood, Crimson gathers a wealth of energy and sends it towards an ally in the form of a blood dagger, allowing the target to use their techniques with greater efficiency. Targets of this technique receive a 50% discount to resources used in all of their techniques for the next four posts. For this duration, techniques cast by the target have their durations increased by three posts. Corvus' Thralls also receive Blood: Extension's effect. While under this technique's effect, targets will have a crimson dagger floating above their head.
Limits: Crimson must have line of sight to provide the buff to his target, and the projectile cannot pass through walls. The target of this technique can dodge the projectile if unwanted. If increasing a technique's duration would harm the user through downsides such as recoil, this effect is increased as well. Crimson must remain released for this technique to function. It is obvious when a target is under this effect due to the visual indicator. This technique is incapable of affecting itself.
Doll 2 Appearance and Overall Ability:
Cain - Spirited 1
When sealed, Crimson takes the form of gold ring. Encrusted with amethysts, it is both gaudy and beautiful. When released, Cain takes the appearance of a purple vampire bat capable of speech, thought, and flight. Any targets bitten by Cain or Corvus are designated as thralls and are given a visible mark of a red pair of bat wings above their head. Cain and his dolls can have a maximum of three thralls at once, and cannot enthrall Corvus himself. Corvus' dolls count as thralls but do not contribute to the limit. Any buffs given by Cain or corvus are shared by all of his thralls. Cain's abilities focus on the power of death and the potency of souls to provide damage and enhance his allies. If healing is the natural regeneration of the body and soul, death is the natural degeneration of the body and soul. When Cain is released, this doll applies its element to all of Corvus' offensive techniques. Elemental attacks from this doll apply the following effects:
A three post necrotizing damage over time equal to 25% the original technique's Attack Strength.
A three post debuff increasing the Attack Strength of offensive techniques from other characters targeting the debuffed target by 25%
A three post debuff reducing healing received by 50%
To use their techniques, Cain or Corvus are able to call from one of two sources at a time to fuel their techniques: Reiatsu or Soul.
Corvus shares Cain's Soul bank. Attacks from Corvus, Cain, or any of his thralls generate Soul at an equivalent to the Reiatsu Cost of the successful offensive technique used. Soul functions as an alternate energy resource for Cain and Corvus similar to Reiatsu, but costs 25% more to cast than if Reiatsu was used but with the same storage capacity. Corvus is capable of seeing through his Thralls, communicating with them telepathically, and sensing their location. (OOC Permission is required to be enthralled and is not permanent). Italicized effects are passive and do not require release.
Doll 2 Techniques: Death Element (4/6)
Soul: Agony 100 Reiatsu
Cain recants a profane chant before forming a purple ball and sending it towards an enemy. Upon impact, this mass of purple death energy explodes into chains that bind the original target and reach out to affect nearby hostile targets within a 5m line of sight. The original target is bound with an Attack Strength equal to 75% while additional chained targets are bound with an Attack Strength of 50%.
Limits: This technique is a projectile with travel time and so can be dodged and avoided. Barriers and line of sight blockers will prevent chained stuns. All bound targets within equal Attack Strength are easily capable of breaking out within one post or less. This technique has an audible warning chant that can be recognized.
Soul: Mortal Reach 400 Reiatsu
Cain's deep familiarity with death has given him an exclusive bargain with the elusive and mysterious aspect. This relationship gives Cain the ability to prevent the death of a target for two posts. In other words, damage that would bring the target over the edge would not go beyond, instead resting at the tipping point for this technique's duration. This effect is applied as a buff to the target. For this technique's duration, a purple skeletal hand will appear to grasp them in a vice-like grip, caging their soul to remain in their body. After the technique's duration, all negative status effects applied to the target will clear and the target will be left on their deathbed if brought to that point by another source. Cain will then die and cause Corvus immense pain, respawning after the standard duration.
Limits: Cain requires line of sight to provide the original buff. This technique is incredibly taxing to both Cain and Corvus, requiring immense concentration and sacrifice, resulting in great pain and a loss of access to Corvus' ability to protect himself with his release until Cain respawns. Additionally, using this technique brings Corvus himself closer to death as he only has one doll left tethering him to the mortal realm for the cooldown's duration. Cain must remain released for this technique to function. It is obvious when a target is under this effect due to the visual indicator.
Soul: Death and Taxes 400 Reiatsu
Cain understands that there are ways to get around even the most certain things in life. Years of cheating death and evading taxes have taught Cain how to channel this power to aid his allies. Targets of this buff no longer have a cap to their Reiatsu usage or physical stamina limits. Essentially, they are able to go below 0 with technique usage without suffering any negative effects associated with this event. Shinigami do not lose their status, etc. This effect has a duration of three posts, after which the target will return to the absolutely lowest amount possible without drastic character-altering effects. After this duration, the target must naturally regenerate their negative resource usage before they are able to safely perform techniques again. Expending reiatsu above a target's limit is described as extremely painful, to the point of reducing a target's sensory capabilities. Those affected by this technique appear to have a ghostly purple quil behind them noting their every move as a debt to be repaid to death itself. This technique is incredibly taxing to Cain, completely emptying his Soul Bank and preventing its usage until the technique's targets have fully recovered from the technique.
For each amount of Reiatsu spent over their natural limit, the character will suffer a debuff to sensory stats equal to their overdraft percentage divided by two for this technique's duration.
Limits: Cain requires line of sight to provide the original buff. This technique is incredibly taxing to both Cain and Corvus, requiring immense concentration and focus. Targets of this technique may require extensive refractory periods to recover from breaking their limits and to repay their debts to death. Corvus and Cain are unable to access their Soul Bank until their debtors repay their dues as part of death's insurance. Cain must remain released for this technique to function. It is obvious when a target is under this effect due to the visual indicator.
Soul: Death's Favor 150 Reiatsu
Cain understands that he has taken a lot from death. It's only natural to repay the favor by helping it spread. Concentrating his death energy into a ball, Cain casts a purple vampire bat projectile that buffs the target and his thralls. The weapons of his targets receive a purple elemental death coating that adds 50% of Cain's Attack Strength to his allies weapon techniques while also applying its debuffs. This buff visually appears as a glowing purple coating to an ally's weapon. This buff lasts a duration of five posts.
Limits: This debuff is delivered through a projectile with reasonable travel time, allowing for it to be reasonably dodged by his allies. This coating is visible to enemies and can thus be strategized against.
Other Techniques:
Technique Name: Insta-Bath
Class: 8/Cinematic
Technique Type: Reiatsu-based
Usable By: Any
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The user sends out a small burst of reiatsu from their body that blasts away all dirt and grime, leaving them nice and squeaky clean. This reiatsu blast is too small and too weak to be used against combat against anything; it's only dangerous to dirt and the like/
How to use technique: User must focus and charge their reiatsu for only a few seconds before unleashing the tension which will trigger the tiny cleaning blast.
Technique Drawbacks Because of the precise nature required to target each and every particle of dirt, Insta-Bath requires complete focus to use and cannot be used in the middle of fight or similarly stressful situations.
Made By: Gracie
Reserved? (Yes/No): No
Technique Name: Advanced Air Platform
Class: 7
Technique Type : General Technique
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): Any
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects : This technique is based on the ability of various races to create reishi platforms in midair. This Technique is so simple and uncomplicated that even the most simple of brutes and lunatics can perform this ability flawlessly. However as time goes on, this technique however has a very deep history as to how it came to be so widespread, and also a much more progressive means of it's use.
Class 7: Advancement. Still ridiculously simple, this level of the technique does take some reiatsu. At 25 Reiatsu cost, the user can create a pair of constantly generating platforms under their feet which lasts the entire post, however at this class the techique is still limited to at least a general downward direction and cannot rise to an angle more than 65 Degrees upward from a flat surface.
This changes at class 6, at which point panels can be created even at a 90 degree angle. Additionally, the panels can be created at any point in the body allowing one to push off with any limb and even slide along one's back, allowing a powerful boost in mobility. Cost increases to 50 per post.
Technique Name: Geist
Class: 7
Technique Type: Bount Reiatsu
Usable By: Bount
Technique Element: Other
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): Activating this technique removes any obstacle for a Bount hunting their prey. This technique allows the Bount to phase through any obstacle or structure that stands in their way like a ghost. They will simply be able to walk through walls or floor without hindrance.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): Activate the technique and step forward.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) So, this technique does not actually work on anything that has reiatsu flowing through it. What’s more, it only works on man made objects. Nothing like Kido or reiatsu constructs can be walked through. What’s more, the Bount can only move through walls or obstacles four feet thick.

-History-
Birthplace:
Medieval France
Current Residence:
Karakura Town
Memorable Figures:
Mattieu Dubois
Past lover, taught Corvus that Humanity was worth loving, and generally worth not killing to satiate his bount desires.
History: [Place below.]
Corvus would not be able to tell you about the circumstances of his birth. Quite frankly, he doesn't remember it. The furthest his memory goes back was being a peasant in an old depressing french village. There was mud everywhere, and everything smelled bad. Everybody starved, except for him of course, being able to feed on your fellow opressed peasants let you avoid the common death of starvation. He didn't really care about killing his fellow worker because it was just a survival mechanism, but he had to do it in a way where he would not get caught, and that's what was really important. Everybody and everything was being burnt at the stake, and for Corvus? He had came close a few times when he let his spiritual pressure slip or do something a little too unnatural in the public eye.
It was also a game of submitting to societal expectations to avoid suspicion. Even though he had spent years of his immortal life reading texts of various languages, he had to pretend to be illiterate so he would not give anybody a weird feeling, especially since he wasn't butt ugly like the other villagers.
It tended to be a problem when the pretty boy not only attracted the men in the pilgrim town, but was also able to read. A deadly combination, if you would. The worst part of villager peasant life was working on the farm. He had no money to his name, and no money to buy food, so most of his crops were grown at a loss. He had to come up with a strategy for getting ahead in life, but it would require a lot of patience.
He couldn't bare the dirty, smelly, farming provincial peasantry any longer. Since he knew how to read and was generally in no mortal danger aside from being burned at the stake, he would be able to work as a farm hand instead of owning his own property. In the short term, it would suck, badly, because it meant years of labor to save up currency so that he could afford to move into the larger medieval city. Every few years he'd also have to move villages to avoid suspicion when he wouldn't age. His first few centuries were spent this way, saving up money so he could afford property in a wealthy city.
Eventually, he was able to ditch his provincial life and buy a loom and wool processing plant on the edge of a proper city. It took almost all of the money he had, but it was definitely worth it to have more than a straw bed to lay down on every night. Living in a city also provided a little bit of protection against being burnt at the stake, because most of the people around him had to be a little literate to function there. It gave him a better source of income, much more than the measly coins he was making every crop season. It gave him something to do, most importantly, but made his feeding harder. Every few weeks he'd still have to travel by carriage to some provincial tavern and feed off a drunkard. The alcoholic buzz was only an upside to the process, he got a great meal out of these occasions too, naturally.
One of the upsides of being near immortal was being able to save up money over a long period of time. With his pedestrian life, he found himself able to save his gold earned through his tailoring business in the keep. While he had to shift his identities over the years to continue accessing his bank account, the gold eventually grew to a point where he had to carefully manage it. It gave him new opportunities in life, specifically the ability to present himself as a royal courtisan to further his life. Working for centuries had gotten old, he was ready to start enjoying his life. With his gold saved up and overall tailoring experience, creating impressively pretty period piece gowns for himself was something he could do for every royal occasion.
Corvus found himself catching the eye of both princes and princesses. Using this to his advantage, Corvus weaseled himself into the royal court and obtained himself a piece of a lesser royal bloodline. This feat may or may not have been influenced by his bount powers, but he had integrated himself into a family that would provide him shelter, wealth, and even nicer clothing. Now with nothing to do with his time but sit around and look pretty, usually as the 'cleaner' for an amorously married king, Corvus began reading through the books in the library as he had nothing else to do with his life at the moment.
Reading taught Corvus many things. It taught him many languages, many writing styles, and different interpretations of the history he had seen for himself. Some of it had even made him laugh, from just how inaccurate he knew the retellings to be. What Corvus really enjoyed. though, were the old books detailing monsters and things that went bump in the night. He loved learning about the things that could be potentially attributed to his own kind. He knew that other spiritual forms existed, ones that he could see for himself, but he mostly left them alone for he had little power of his own. And tht was alright, for his bounty abilities let him avoid them completely through his phasing ability. None of them ever tried to bother him in the first place, not that he'd blame them. He knew himself he had little spiritual energy, only having an old soul to his name.
