-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5 foot 8
Physical Description: With European blood flowing in her veins form her grandfather Toki's blond hair and golden eyes make her quite exotic among most of soul society. taller than the average female and more often than not average Japanese male as well makes Toki extremely easy to spot in a crowd. Toki often keeps her hair in braids a tradition passed down by her grandfather, a tradition that is virtually not existent among her fellow Japanese.
Still young when she died Toki has very little signs of aging and has taken great care in keeping it that way, her lithe body type looking bigger than it really is due to her being fit. Besides her training to return to the academy Toki's early morning routine is often filled with morning training sessions in an effort to keep herself looking young despite the fact that she will age slowly in soul society. As a result, her body is quite fit for a young woman, the resulting muscles while not large are quite defined for anyone taking a close look.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
Dislikes being called a noble hunter, a role she was expected to preform form her time among the Tabi family. Despite the fact she broke ties with the Tabi family in order to escape marriage, Toki still takes it as a personal insult whenever she addressed this way even in jest. For strangers this will result in instant disdain and if possible, avoid the person who called her it.
Toki has a distinct desire to be on time or even early, her time among the Tabi family ingraining the practice on her. So much in fact seeing others habitually late will often ruin her mood, earning a reprimand form those below her. This near extreme desire does not seem to extend to when Taiyo is late. Having served him for so long the strait-laced woman expects this behavior, despite this however she takes great pains to make sure he is on time much to his annoyance
When thrown into soul society after death Toki was besieged by the lack of food for the downtrodden, the modern woman hopelessly unprepared for culture shock of the soul society. As such she is vehemently opposed to the idea of mindlessly wasting of resources and in particular food, the source of her suffering when she first arrived in the afterlife. As such she is strict to anyone, she eats with to finish their plate, a habit she relentlessly drilled into Taiyo's kids and even Taiyo himself.
Marriage is a mixed bomb with Toki, her memories of time alive often make her recall that she was quite happy before it fell apart. As such the woman longs for it but will never accept getting married again, her pride no longer willing to allow another to control her fate in such a way again. However, she does not think marriage in itself is wrong or evil, her time with the kodomo family proving that for some that is can easily be the best thing in their life even with the tragedy that can come from it.
Dishes are in a sense the bane of Toki's life, her desire to cook often creates a large number of dishes for the woman to clean. Despite growing accustomed to cleaning with a single arm Toki still has trouble doing so, the amount of effort making the task take much longer than it needs to in Toki's eyes. As such Toki is very keen on making others do the dishes for her, more often than not forcing Taiyo to do so whenever she can in the form of a punishment if she can get away with it. A good way to get on her good side is in fact doing dishes for her often once you get to know her enough for her to be comfortable around you.
Illness is another sore subject for Toki. Unlike most people Toki is rarely ill for any reason, her healthy lifestyle keeping her healthy for most of the time. Looking over the shop Toki has delt with ill people quite often among the workers, a case where many would be unable to work quite often each month. As such it's hard to convince her that someone is sick without her checking their condition herself, her mind thinking that they are using it as an excuse to avoid work or escape form some sort of obligation.
Likes:
Gardening was the one past time that Toki,Taiyo and Hyuki enjoyed together. The Kodomo couple enjoying Gardening for the sake of it, the pair often growing flowers or other such plants around the house for decorations. Toki however was much more pragmatic and often grew food for the family to eat, her desire to be self-sufficient or at the very least helpful to the family the main cause of such behavior. Despite her more pragmatic approach to gardening Hyuki always noticed that most of the food grown by Toki where the children's favorite fruits, a secret she took to her grave. Toki's favorite is a set of trees that she planted for each member of the Kodomo household many years ago, of them Hyuki's bitter persimmons are the most cherished by Toki.
(It's here twice to show that she both greatly dislikes and likes marriage)
Cooking is quite the hobby for the young woman and one of the few times she lets her hair down so to speak. Is quite fond of trying new dishes whenever she has a chance, the young woman spending much of her time perfecting each recipe before adding her own twist to it. During the hot afternoon she often leaves finished dishes where the family can test them for her. When each recipe is complete, she adds it to her cooking book, both the original recipe as well as the twist she added to make it her own dish. She is keenly aware this is one of the few hobbies she had before her death but is unable to figure out the reason for it.
While having experience with it herself Toki is fascinated with Spirit steel and can lose herself watching it be crafted or worked with. It is not rare to catch Toki in her free time watching it be worked with or any other similar crafting method to make tools for the Shinigami. Her fascination steams form her grandfather being a traditional sword smith and her watching him work for hours when she was young. Her mind is quite clear on this memory and Toki enjoys taking the chance to relive those moments again.
Despite her injury Toki greatly enjoys fighting with her sword against other students and soul reapers. The hobby is just that a hobby, her injury making her keenly aware of just how hard it is for her to fight an opponent with equal skill as her due the lack of strength on her part. She has not given it up completely as she knows it make come in handy to save her life in the future and as such still diligently practices with her sword despite knowing she will never master it.
Flaws:
The perhaps most obvious flaw is quite apparent to anyone who even so much as glances at the woman as her missing arm is nearly impossible to miss, the left sleave often shortened on her clothes or even tied into a small knot to keep it out of the way. Besides the simple reply that it was cut off Toki will not have much to say and further inquiries will annoy the woman.
Toki is quite a stern woman to adults, her sharp tongue often times having no mercy for those who have crossed her. With her return to the academy Toki has often struggled to keep her tongue in check, the small blond no longer near the top in rank as she was with the Kodomo family. As such she struggles with those above her that have not proven themselves to her or have not met with Taiyo's approval.
Despite losing her arm Toki is quite drawn to fighting with a sword despite the injury. With the change in balance and only being able to use half the strength she had before Toki's ability with the sword as greatly diminished since her first time at the academy. Still, she trains daily and can be quite careless while she fights with her sword as a more blood thirsty aspect of Toki's personality shows when she fights.
Toki is incredibly spiteful and holds grudges for nearly forever and never truly forgives someone if they have wronged her. Returning the favor years later is something she greatly enjoys even if she does not admit to it. Even those close to her are not immune to this, however thankfully it is much milder in comparison.
Habits:
Wakes up early to braid her hair every morning, a task that can take ten minutes to an hour depending on if she is happy with how it turned out.
Visibly rubs the bridge of her nose to help deal with stress, her fingers digging where her glasses normally would rest.
Covers her mouth when she smiles, a habit she has no idea she does or when it started. She also tends to cover her mouth whenever she is uncomfortable making it hard to tell if she is happy or not sometimes.
More often than not refers to herself as broken, a habit she has done her best to stop but so far has failed. Despite how badly it sounds it is often more used as a source of mirth for the woman rather then something negative.
Fears:
Toki fears being forced to return to the Tabi family for face their wrath, the elder of the family being the largest of her fears after the night she lost her arm.
After losing Hyuki Toki's mind if filled with worry that any of the children can be next or even more likely have Taiyo be killed as a soul reaper. As such she spends much of her time driven to figure out ways to support him both in and out of battle.
Teeth are another abnormal source of fear for Toki and in particular human teeth. While most of the time it's not a problem Toki greatly hates people who smile near her face, her mind always thinking they're going to take chunk out of her face. The fear started form when she was alive after watching her first zombie movie, a memory she wished she had forgotten like the others.
Goals:
Toki unlike many others she does not have a grand scheme for her life and is quite content to serve the Kodomo family for the rest of her life. Her goal in becoming a reaper is to further support the family and cement Taiyo's goal to become a grand noble.
Alignment: Lawful neutral
60 percent dark and 40 percent light
Overall Personality:
Toki can come off as severe to people she does not know and even to those close to her. Her cold expression rarely leaves her face even when excited or overjoyed about a recent event, coupled with her habit of covering her face when does smile makes an open genuine smile extremely rare form the woman. It is much more common for Toki to give a small grin revealing her single dimple when amused.
Toki takes great pride in her service to the Kodomo family, a fact she will happily tell anyone who asks her. Unlike many others that wish to rise in rank above their current station Toki is quite content to serve, the young woman finding a sense of peace working the Kodomo family. She takes insults to the family quite personal, often times landing her in all sorts of trouble. With the change to become a soul reaper however Toki realizes she must rise through the ranks of the soul reaper in order to help the family, the young woman determined to aid the Kodomo house regardless of self-risk.
Prideful by nature Toki often finds it hard to admit when she is wrong, even when she knows very well, she was wrong. Rather than admit she was wrong with a verbal apology Toki is more apt to leave a peace offering, a gift of food or trinket is often left by her without explanation. For those close to her she might admit she was being a fool without directly admitting to what she was being foolish about. One can always tell when she is feeling foolish or when she wants to apologize by the fact, she works much more diligently, the sense of guilt pushing her harder.
Despite her many flaws Toki is hard working and very passionate about those she has come to call her friends. Her normally cold gone as she takes great pains to care for her friends, often in the forms of food or small tasks that helps them with her daily life. Examples of this might be waking up early to make breakfast for them if they are staying with her or waking them if they are heavy sleepers, a task she performs often for Taiyo for his early morning training.
Fighting style: On entering the academy the first time Toki took on an aggressive approach to learning the sword, her style more suited to throwing everything into offense. Using both hands Toki would often try to overpower her opponent into dropping their stance with powerful strikes before moving in for the final blow, a strong style that worked well against her fellow students but poorly against her teachers due to differences in raw strength and speed. Despite her overall success in her matches, she was warned that some opponents would be able to work around her fighting style and instructed to work on her defense for when that happened. Toki never had time to study the lessons as she was soon placed on leave before further lessons could take place.
With her injury Toki has lost a lot of her strength in her aggressive style of fighting and often finds herself on the defensive in training matches, her injury forcing her to use the practice weapon as a defensive tool till her opponents leave an opening for her to exploit. Due to her aggressive nature Toki often see's openings that are not that or ones she cannot exploit with her weakened condition, forcing her to lose quite a fair bit of her matches compared to before. Nevertheless, she sticks to the sword in an effort to be able to at least defend herself in the future. One might notice she is favoring the sorter weapons since they are easier to handle for her.
As times moves on Toki would start to adopt a reverse grip for a more defensive style and more leverage against her attacker, the later allowing her to overcome some of the weakness she has against a two-handed grip but not all of it. Taking on a more dance like movement Toki avoids direct attacks by backing away or adjusting her block to move her away with the force of her opponents attacks in an effort to create distance to use kido attacks. The reverse grip also makes it far easier for Toki to cast kido as she can hold the blade and make kido signs with most of her fingers still free to do so. Toki rarely commits to the offense with this style unless at a safe distance to cast Kido attacks.
With her sword released Toki takes an almost passive approach to the battlefield, distanced far in the back Toki works diligently to heal the injured and to keep them safe form harm. Able to cast defensive kido while keeping herself obscured Toki understands her role on the battlefield is to provide support in keeping her allies alive. Despite being able to attack at range with kido Toki will often preserve her energy to go to allow herself to do more healing or protect allies in her mist. Toki will only directly engage her opponent to protect an injured ally and even then, only if she must. In this manner she can let her opponents fight her allies in the mist as she drains them of their energy before moving in for the final blow if the moment presents itself. If forced to release her sword in a one-on-one fight Toki will use the mist to hide herself, which afterwards results in normally only two battle plans form the young woman. Escape from her opponent by tricking into thinking she is gone or binding them in the smoke before making a run for it. If forced to stay in fight for some reason Toki will build up the mist while hiding before engaging her opponent in which she will use the mists recovery ability to keep her alive as she assaults her opponent in a desperate barrage of kido attacks.

-Powers-
Zanpakuto name: Fukai mono
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance (Optional):
Fukai Mono can easily be mistaken for an animal, its genral shape closely resembling that of a manta if one was to be behind it. Towering size the large spirit easily larger than a small building as it towers over all that enters its domain. Form the front of the spirit one can see what appears to be the upper body of a woman emerging form the flesh of the spirit, two arms wrapped around its body similar to a lovers embrace. Its upper face has merged with the body obscuring the part of the face where its eyes should be, instead one can see small tendrils similar to the stingers of a jelly fish emerge.
Inner World (Optional):
I never ending ocean in all directions, the green waves saying gently across world. On looking down into the water one can see though the clear water to see hard rock just beneath one's feet in all directions, small holes throughout the stone reveal endless water beneath and what appears to of creatures similar to Fukai Mono albeit smaller in size. Despite how fragile the rock appears the hard stone is unbreakable and a barrier only Fukai Mono can pass though, the hard substance almost immaterial to the large spirit.
Zanpakuto's power: Fukai mono's power is the ability to change spiritual power into a water like state and back again, its new form malleable to Fukai's and Toki's control.
Zanpakuto Appearances:
While sealed her sword looks much like a normal sealed zanpakuto but the sword length is shortened making it look more like wakizashi then a normal katana, the shortened length of the blade makes it much easier to handle for the woman.
Released Shiki: On release the swords blade glows a gentle green before it dissolves into a dull green mist that fills the area around it master, the dull sound of rain and waves fills the air as the sounds emerge from the mist. The handle quickly warps in Toki's grasp as the Kashira(pommel) changes into an ivory like face resembling Fukai mono's spiritual appearance emerges, the ivory face constantly releasing more mist to shield its child.
Bankai: On release of Bankai the entire sword breaks apart as the mist around surges out into the surrounding area until the mist covers the entire battlefield, the mist's strange appearance doing little to hinder one's sight inside the strange phenomenon. Form behind Toki does an avatar of Fukai mono emerges as it floats just above her, both of its arms almost cradling Toki as each hand holds a sword handles similar to Toki's own shiki.
Zanpakuto Release Names
Shikai: Surge Fukai mono!
Bankai: Motomou fukai kiri no kachou
Zanpakuto Techniques:
Shikai
Kachou no ryoiki.
With the roar of the Technique Toki releases her spiritual energy into the ever-growing mist causing it to react to allies and enemies alike. The green light only strengthens near her allies as the mist recovers their wounds, the soft glow slowly nurturing their body and reiatsu. For those unwelcome in the mist it turns form a soft green to a dark orange as the ambient spiritual energy starts to eat as at their own spiritual power as it devours it to feed its own allies.
The green mist turns to a dark orange when it comes into contact with an enemy, as the mist starts to eat away at the intruder's reiatsu turning it into orange mist similar to an acid. However, unlike the green mist normally used by Toki the orange mist is simply raw reiatsu covered in green mist, as such it's much easier to use to heal then Toki's own healing mist as it does not need to be converted back.
Kachou no ryoiki is a technique that uses Toki's own spiritual energy to heal her allies using the mist as a medium, as such the power is directly correlated with how much she feeds into the mist. Even when the mist is attempting to repeal interlopers the mist it is directly tied to how much energy Toki feeds into and even then, at reduced effect as it targets the battlefield to slowly effect allies. For each turn Toki feeds it her energy the effect ramps up as more and more mist fill the area. Strangely enough the mist behaves in a manner similar to kido and she can only release as much as she can safely control at a time.
Healing process: The mist heals in a very similar manner as healing kido, first restoring the targets inner reiatsu and then uses the casters own reiatsu to heal the body. The green mist unlike most healing Kido allows Toki to not need to be near her targets as the mist is an extension of her own Reiatsu. Orange mist torn form her opponents is already in its raw state and much easier to use in restoring reiatsu of an injured ally. Each turn the healing amount increases as follows!
Turn 1: Shallow cuts, bruises, abrasions, and first-degree burns.
Turn 2: Second degree burns.
Turn 3: Mending broken bones and deep lacerations.
Turn 4: Third degree burns.
Opponents who enter the mist will have their reiatsu slowly drained away by 8% of the maximum amount with a plus or minus 2% If toki is a different rank than the target. Someone two ranks stronger than her would only take 4% while some one 2 ranks weaker would instead take 12 %.
Strengths: Can cover large area of effect that effects both allies and her opponents without risk of friendly fire. Builds in power the longer she feeds the mist her power. Can be maintained with a single use. Allows her to stay mobile while she heals and even allows her to fight to some small degree while she maintains the ability.
Weakness: The effect is much weaker than normal healing until it ramps up. Takes a lot of energy the longer it is maintained, anything over two turns reduces the time of the release by an extra turn each time. Only effects those inside the mist and exiting the mist prevents the healing as well as the damage caused by it. With the nature of the ability being similar to kido a Kido use that is far more skilled than Toki might be able to alter the mist to not affect him and someone who is massively more skilled then might even be able to protect their allies form the effects.
kachou no ryoiki in bankai form: Unlike when it was just her shiki using Kachou no Ryoiki, her bankai is able to match Toki's own output as both swords release the mist effectively doubling the amount leaked into the area. This effect has no bearing on the power per turn and only increases the size of the mist cloud making it harder to get out or inside fast enough to avoid the mists effects.
Umare ta kiri
A Technique that allows Toki to blend into the mist and even goes so far as to obscure her energy form sensor types, her spiritual energy echoing throughout the mist itself.
Strength: Allows Toki to hide as she slowly heals her allies or harm her opponents. Obscures her energy form most common forms of detection.
Weakness: Does not obscure any of the five senses besides sight and does little to obscure Toki's own blood lust form those with high instinct.
Kiri no gisei mono
In a desperate final attack Toki gathers all the mist onto the hilt of her sword to create a blade entirely made of the mist, the verdant green blade leaking wisps of mist into the air harmlessly. Swinging the blade in crescent motion ending in an upwards angle the mist surges forward one final time in an all-out corrosive explosion in front of her.
Strength: Grows in strength the more mist there is to feed its power making it stronger the longer she maintains 'Kachou no ryoiki". All left over mist is pooled together for the final attack, allowing her to unleash a devesting attack far outside her normal offense ability.
Weakness: Is weak if she does not have much empowered mist on the battlefield. Takes a long time to build up and requires her to stand still as she gathers the mist. Even if tons of mist were unleashed into the fight it can still be weak if the majority of it was used to heal her allies.
Each turn of mist builds the damage of the attack by 40 percent of her normal offense stats.
Shiki Bankai
1:40% 1:50%
2:80% 2:100%
3:120% 3:150%
4:160% 4:200%
percent amount x Offense stat= total damage
Bankai
Kachou no hoyou
Fukai mono's avatar becomes active as water starts to rain green water throughout the mist, till the ground is covered in a thin layer of water that drags Toki's allies under the water despite it not being deep enough to submerge their feet much less their entire body protecting them from further harm. Deep within the gentle green waves her allies are healed as the Fukai Mono's children tend to their wounds.
Strengths: Protects her allies while she heals them far quicker then Kachou no ryoiki.
Weakness: extremely taxing and still takes a few turns(posts) to heal anything beyond mild injuries.
Other Techniques: As student she Know's no techniques as of yet.

-History-
Before dying Toki's memories are hazy at best, faint recollections at the best of time. She is aware of being married and having a husband for many years, her daily life mostly filled with tending to the house and finances for the household. She knows for the most part she was content to spend her life working at home while tending to the household. However, fate is cruel, and it soon became apparent that despite the pair's efforts Toki was not having a child, it was only when they finally went to the hospital, they found out the truth. Toki could not have a child with her husband, her body rejecting her husband despite still being able to have kids. Over the following weeks the problem came to a head as her husband abandoned her, filing for divorce and leaving Toki to fend for herself. She is not aware of much else other then she passed peacefully soon after, form what she does not recall.
Her early life in soul society was much more vivid and just as pitiful as the few memories that she had of her life before death. Born in a modern society Toki had no idea how to live in the backwards soul society, the culture shock almost too much for the recently deceased. She wondered aimlessly, the pain racking her body form the lack of food only making her feebler as she tried to find ways to survive in her new life. Like most in the area she resorted to theft or crime in order to feed herself, a task only made harder by her European features as it made her easy to remember. It did not take for her to be caught stealing form a prominent merchant family and taken away to punishment, however much to her surprise instead of being taken to the authorities she was taken to merchant's home. It was here she was given a choice, to join the family or to be turned to the authorities to face a thief's punishment.
The Tabi family was a rich merchant family with dreams of a grander lifestyle then the Rukongai provided for them, their eyes turning towards the nobles inside the walls of the soul society. They hoped to marry their way into an already high standing noble family using their wealth as bait for the family, however due to a twist in fate none of the family had any spiritual pressure for the noble family's to be interested in them. It was then they discovered Toki, an exotic woman with a high spiritual power stealing to survive. It was then the Tabi family took her in to be used as a tool to raise their family status, a tool to be used in exchange for not turning her in. Her lessons would begin shortly after as the Tabi family groomed her for the role they handed her.
The strict lessons that followed were stifling for the ex-thief, her every action watched and corrected at the slightest deviation from the ideal they had for her. Slowly over the next few years Toki's expressions became colder and more restrained as lesson after lesson was piled on her. Over time Toki began question her new role, the memories of her time alive coming back to haunt her. Unwilling to become dependent on a husband again she searched for an escape from her current life, her eyes finally setting on the soul reaper academy. Suggesting it would be easier for her to catch a husband in the academy she quickly convinced the Tabi family to enroll her. However instead of searching for a husband Toki threw herself into her lessons, day and night she trained with all her free time to improve her chances of getting accepted as a soul reaper.
It did not take long for the Tabi family to discover her actions, the head of the family demanding the reason for it all. That night in the family home Toki cut ties with the Tabi family, the woman leaving shortly after in the dead of night for reasons she is unwilling to speak of. Only a few witnessed her departure as she fled the compound clutching her shoulder where her arm once was. Shortly after the Tabi quickly disowned her, their support from the academy quickly pulled as she struggled to get by with only having one arm. It did not take long for the instructors being pressured by the family to remove her as a student. It was then she met Taiyo and Hyuki Kodomo, the pair witnessing injustice of her expulsion and quickly stepped in. The pair quickly turned her expulsion to a leave of absence for an unforeseen amount of time.
With nowhere to go Hyuki and Taiyo invited Toki to live with them as she recovered, her poor health worrying the pair. It took several months for Toki to open up to Hyuki, her traumatic experience leaving her silent much of the time in the beginning. However, as time passed, she slowly became more talkative with Toki starting to help out around their home. Given time Toki became a servant of the house and started to see Hyuki like a sister and assisted her with the children, the children even going so far as to Call her aunt Toki. For the first time in a long time Toki was content, her sorrows as thing of the past as she worked a simple job and lived a simple life.
However, fate is rarely kind and the tragedy that soon unfolded broke the peaceful life she had obtained. The news of Hyuki and Nori's death shocked the woman to her core. In a fit of rage and sorrow Toki blamed Taiyo for being so foolish as to take them somewhere dangerous, in grief she lashed out at the one already suffering the most. In the weeks that followed Toki quickly realized what she had done, her pride making her unable to console Taiyo or apologize for lashing out him. Quietly she took care the younger children, helping them leave treats and gifts for their withdrawn father.
When Taiyo declared his desire to join the Academy Toki joined him, convincing the family Taiyo still needed a someone to keep him from being lazy. It took little effort to get back into the academy, Toki was still technically a student there. Now returning to the academy grounds Toki swears to herself that she would not allow anything to happen to her sister's husband.
Birthplace after death: 37 Rukongai
Current Residence: 13 Southern Rukongai.
Memorable Figures:
Taiyo and Hyuki are the most respected figures to Toki.
The leader of Clan Tabi is without a doubt a figure of deep-seated hatred and fear for Toki.
