Special Conditions: This is a special fight. As such, there are quite a few conditions that need to be made note of. Both participants involved will be Class 1, Rank 4, and have the option to change to a type of their choice (matching race restrictions). They'll be given access to a full list of techniques of their choosing, all mastered, and will sit at 21 SkP (or an adjusted maximum, depending on Type). Both characters will also be given their full SP totals. Celes will have access to her fully-trained Vizard Mask and the benefits to go along with that, whereas Albin will have access to Soulbind, pre-read and checked over by Layla for her consent in the matter. Before an opening post is made, each participant will list their stats, skills, and techniques. Gravitational Pressure will naturally not be in use.

Technique Description and Effects:

A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique:

Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.

Technique Description and Effects:
A stance-type technique, this one requires the user to slip into a state of automatic combat. Automatic combat is a mental state in which the user continues at the exact same pacing of their previous blows, creating a rhythmic pattern that allows them to fight without focusing on it. During this, the user becomes accustomed to their own movements, flowing into the same speed and rhythm of attacks until it's no longer required to think about it. That's when this technique truly begins to shine; upon that point, the user can speed up or slow down that rhythm suddenly, creating a pattern of attacks that suddenly alters in speed. Slowing in speed takes no effort, merely the conscious decision to hold back a blow, but speeding up is another story.

When speeding up, the user must do so gradually; as they become accustomed to their movements at a set pace beyond their normal limit, they can slowly push themselves further and further. With each post of consecutive rhythmic attacks, the user can adapt and push their muscles so that they move an additional 50 speed faster with their consistent attacks. This can be continued up until the maximum of the 3x limit on speed boosts. However, if speed is dropped at all, it caps at the speed dropped to or the user's maximum speed, whichever is higher, and can only regain 50 speed per post. Example, if the user has 300 Speed, after one post they can have 350, and after two their attacks come at 400 speed. However, if they drop down to 300 for a slowed move to surprise a foe, they cannot just go back up to 400 speed, and instead have to work up at 50 per post again. If they dropped down to 200, however, they could immediately make the next blow 300, as that is their natural cap.

How to use technique:
Begin striking in a consistent, consecutive rhythm of blows, adapting to it over time and adjusting speed as able.

Technique Drawbacks:
Stamina. Aside from that, the biggest drawback to this technique is its predictability; the user does have to build up a rhythm of strikes, and because they are fighting almost off-handedly, even if they have control over how they strike, there is a pattern in the motions that can be countered by an analytical foe. Note that this counts as a long-term buff if used for more than two posts (i.e. after the first post of increased speed); otherwise, it is counted as a short-term buff. Requires at least a 1 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.

{Soulbind (Tengoku no Hikari)}

Technique Description and Effects:

This is a special technique that was discovered through the use of deep meditation and communion with one’s Zanpakuto spirit. When activated, the user’s Zanpaktou simply disappears, burning away in blue flames. At the same time, the user gains the ability to channel their Zanpaktou’s overall ability through their body. For example, a fire-based Zanpaktou would allow the user to light their fists on fire for hand-to-hand combat, or their entire body as a defensive measure. This is customized by the user upon the learning of this technique, but must be posted in the Create a Technique section and treated as a reserved custom technique for that character. To activate the technique, the user pays half of their current Shikai cost. This technique has the same post limitation as the user’s Shikai duration. Mastery of this technique increases the post duration by five posts. This does not require Release to be active, though if activated during Release, the Shikai used for Soulbind ends.

How to use technique: To use this technique, the user quickly communes with their Zanpakuto Spirit, asking their permission to use it. If permission is granted, the user absorbs their Zanpaktou into their body, causing it to burn with a bright blue flame as it disintegrates away, the spiritual ash merging with their material form.

{Tengoku no Hikari}
Through Tengoku no Hikari, Albin is able to bring about manifestations of light into the world, beginning with himself. Upon activation of Tengoku no Hikari’s Soulbind, Albin’s body becomes cloaked with Tengoku no Hikari’s own reiatsu, granting Albin a physical defense, not unlike that of Hierro. This defense is equal to Albin’s own Strength. Being a physical creation, this defense is subject to cracking and whatnot like that of a shell around the Shinigami. Though, defense is not all that this Soulbind grants.

While active, Soulbind grants Albin the option to create a slew of weapons, not unlike his normal Overall Ability, but instead of simply conjuring these weapons into existence, this is done somewhat differently. At any point, Albin is able to convert parts, or his entire body into a weapon form instantaneously, given the speed of light. Instead of having a set Durability or OS, these weapon forms simply function as an extension of himself, and use his own natural durability or OS in order to strike and defend.

While fully-transformed, Albin is able to move himself at his own speed through the air, and effectively “control” himself telepathically. Stepping techniques cannot be used while he’s transformed, but he can step and transform mid-step for a nice speed increase. Shifting in general, whether it's into or out of a weapon form, costs Albin 100 reiatsu in order to do. Those that wield Albin while he’s fully-shifted are given a free Rank in the appropriate Weapons skill depending on his form.

Drawback: No Zanpakuto techniques can be used during Soulbind; only the overall ability is enabled. Also, no other stage of Release can be used for the Zanpaktou that Soulbind is active with. This also causes spiritual damage to both the user and the Zanpaktou; the user is literally consuming their own soul and making it perfectly align with their material bodies as well, which tears at and weakens the spirit. Excessive use of more than twice in a thread without extended rest will leave a Shinigami comatose or kill him.

{Tengoku no Yami}
Through Tengoku no Yami, Albin is able to manipulate the forces of darkness to his whim, serving as a polar opposite to Tengoku no Hikari, beginning with himself. Cosmetically upon entering Soulbind, Albin’s appearance begins to almost “fade”, taking on a slightly translucent and astral appearance. This doesn’t change how he’s hit at all, but merely changes his appearance. Starry patterns and constellations will begin to present themselves across the man's body.

While this is going on, Albin is permanently given a shadow. No matter the amount of light in the area, this shadow will persist, and stretch up to ten feet behind him, as though light was constantly hitting him head-on. Should he turn, the shadow will follow. From here, a specter will emerge from this shadow, taking on a much more solid appearance, similarly to how Albin appears out of Soulbind. This specter can take on a number of different forms; either that of Albin, Tengoku no Hikari, Tengoku no Yami, or even Tengoku no Nisshoku.

This specter shares Albin’s own stats and skills, and is capable of using Spiritual Pressure as an Offensive Stat for strikes. Non-release techniques can be channeled through this Specter, but Albin cannot use the same technique that said specter did in the same post, and vice versa. The only exception to this is stepping techniques, which require both Albin and his specter to use simultaneously. This specter lasts for the duration of Soulbind, and any wounds that either Albin or his specter take transfer over to the other. Any weapons that Albin has will be given to the specter as a shadowy-version, maintaining the same shape, but being treated as a Zanpakuto without any additional abilities or extras.

{Soul Resonance}

Technique Description and Effects: The relationship with ones Zanpakuto Spirit varies from Shinigami to Shinigami. Some work in tandem with their Spirit, treating them as equals. While others force a much more servitude relationship. Making the Zanpakuto Spirit out to be nothing but a mere tool. A simple weapon to be handled and used when needed. Regardless of the relationship, a Zanpakuto Spirit is a representation of a Soul Reapers very soul. They are a piece of them. Though similar in personality in some aspects. They can be vastly different in others.

Soul Resonance is more along a state of being than a technique itself. It represents a melding of the mind, body and soul between Shinigami and Zanpakuto Spirit. When the two truly become one harmonious being. No longer shackled by differing thoughts and personalities. The Zanpakuto Spirit and Shinigami have become truly one. Acting, fighting and even speaking as one. The voice of the Zanpakuto Spirit will overlap and resonate from the Shinigami. The appearance of the Shinigami will differ from Reaper to Reaper. Causing the Shinigami to take some resemblance of their Zanpakuto Spirit. This varies depending on the Spirit in question. Possibly causing the Reaper, to sprout wings or even a tail. Sometimes shifting their physical appearance drastically. which can shift wildy between Shikai and Bankai respectfully.

Soul Resonance: Echo The Shikai variant of Soul Resonance is simply known as Echo and can only be used in Shikai. It also requires a two post start up time to activate (Mastery reduces this to one). And can only be active for up to five posts. In this state the Shinigami and the Zanpakuto Spirit haven't fully fused. They merely share the same state of mind, the same goal. Though some physical features of the Reaper will change causing them to faintly resemble their Zanpakuto Spirit. But only small changes will occur. Such as a change in clothing or even eye color. Possibly even growing fangs.

Soul Resonance: Harmony The Bankai variant of Soul Resonance is known as Harmony and can only be used in Bankai. It requires a three post start up time to activate (Mastery reduces this to two). And can only be active for up to five posts. In this state the Shinigami and the Zanpakuto Spirit have fully harmonized. This shifts the Shinigami's appearance as well as their personality heavily. Causing them to appear as a fusion between Shinigami and Zanpakuto Spirit.

During Soul Resonance, the Shinigami and Zanpakuto Spirit act as one. And as such their release techniques become less strenuous and easier to perform on their spiritual bodies. Allowing the Shinigami and the Spirit to cut the cost of release techniques by 25% in Shikai and 50% while in Bankai. Also in becoming one being, they are able to think far more quickly and effectively than they would on their own. Allowing the two, to make split second decisions and act far more efficiently in the heat of battle. Increasing their instinct by 25% in both Shikai and Bankai. Lastly when mastered, their main offensive stat will increase by 25% in Shikai and 50% in Bankai respectfully, during the first duration of release before refresh.

How to use technique: Commune and resonate your soul with ones Zanpakuto Spirit

Technique Drawbacks: Though this technique is rather strong, it comes with some rather nasty drawbacks. First of all, the personality of the user can vastly shift after fusion. Forcing the Shinigami and Zanpakuto Spirit to perform and act in certain ways they would not before. Making the user out to be a completely different person. This is mainly an issue in Bankai though and is rarely a problem in Shikai. This technique cuts the duration of release in half and doubles the cost of release. Also this technique can only be used once in a thread and remains active for only five consecutive posts. Thus might require the Shinigami to refresh their release in order to remain fused. Lastly even though this technique is active for five posts. Exiting this fusion at any time puts the Shinigami in a wounded state. Cutting their instinct and offensive by 25%, lasting for three posts afterwards. This is due to the stress that this fusion puts on their spiritual bodies.

{Ichi}

Technique Description and Effects:

Aptly named, Ichi, also known as "Strike", is the first of the Numbers technique line. Working with their Zanpakuto Spirit, the Shinigami manifests an aura around their Zanpakuto, a ghostly, translucent aura that flickers and fades in and out. This lasts for five posts, and grants the Zanpakuto a special power for the duration of the technique. For the duration of the technique, either the striking speed doubles, or the striking strength doubles.

Additionally, while using this technique, the user is able to perceive their Spirit holding the Zanpakuto with the user, as a faded out image. No one else can perceive their Spirit, unless they have the required Energy Sensory to normally see one. Essentially, the Spirit wields the blade along with the technique user.

Technique Drawbacks:

Class Four Reiatsu cost. Depending on the Spirit, the relationship they have with their wielder, and their nature, the spirit in question may not choose to lend aid to the wielder. Physical and spiritual fatigue if they do help. Damage to the users arms, due to either the increased speed or increased strength, in the form of strained or sprained muscles, as well as possible overextending. Mastery of this technique lessens the damage done, as well as overextending, due to the user knowing how much strength/speed they have and are able to handle.

{Ni}

Technique Description and Effects:

Ni, also known as "Divide", is a technique that pools together the Zanpakuto Spirit's Reiatsu, as well as the Shinigami's Reiatsu, to form a powerful counter to Reiatsu based attacks. From within the user's Zanpakuto, Reiatsu wells up and coats the blade. This forms the 'first' coat. The Reiatsu from the user pools around this first layer, forming a second layer over the blade, which takes the form of whatever the user's flexed Reiatsu looks like, creating a dual-color Reiatsu over the Zanpakuto.

Upon contact with a Reiatsu based attack, the first layer activates, cutting into and repelling the technique in half, depending on the size. The second layer closely follows the first behind, a sharpened blade of Reiatsu that travels in the direction of the person who used the first technique. This blade will continue to cut through the opposing Reiatsu based technique if it isn't cut apart by the first layer, and has limited seeking properties to track the individual that used the opposing technique. This works best on beam-type attacks, such as Cero, and could be thought of as a counter to Cero-type techniques.

Due to the nature of this technique, the user's Offensive Stat, instead of simply Reiatsu Strength, is used to determine the power of this technique. This power can be utilized on techniques up to 1.5x the user's Offensive Stat.

Technique Drawbacks:

Class Three Reiatsu cost. Depending on the Spirit, the relationship they have with their wielder, and their nature, the spirit in question may not choose to lend aid to the wielder. Physical and spiritual fatigue if they do help. This technique tires out the Spirit, increasing the cost of Releasing by 50% the next time the user releases. Increases the cost of non-release techniques by 25% for the next three posts. Despite being able to be used on stronger techniques, this technique does not prevent the Zanpakuto from taking damage from these techniques, and will damage the Zanpakuto each time it is used. If the Zanpakuto is broken during usage, this technique does not work.

{San}

Technique Description and Effects:

A powerful technique. San, "Wearing", lets the user temporarily take command of an aspect their Zanpakuto represents. This manifests as a 'cloak' of whatever aspect, be it fire, water or elsewise, the Zanpakuto is. Should the aspect be non-elemental or some such, this technique generates non-aligned energy. The user customizes whatever the cloak looks like to their desire, after deliberation with their Spirit. Aside from being a cloak of whatever aspect the user's Spirit is, this allows the user to spread their element over things through touch; for example. If someone had a fire-aspect cloak, and they were able to touch someone else on the arm, they would be able to spread that fire across their arm. This requires at least three seconds, though.

The real strength of this cloak is that it's able to spread to the user's non-release techniques as well. If someone with an ice-aspect cloak used a Sokkatsui, the Sokkatsui would be both fire and ice, for example. This technique can be sustained for a maximum of ten posts. If the user is bereft of a weapon during this period, they may generate one from the energy of their cloak, which takes the apperance of their sealed Zanpakuto/weapon state.

As with Ni, this technique opperates on Offensive Stat instead of simply RS. Despite this, though, techniques used during this technique are still counted as their original stat. For example, Kidou would still be RS based, despite being influenced by this technique.

Technique Drawbacks:

Class Two Reiatsu cost. Depending on the Spirit, the relationship they have with their wielder, and their nature, the spirit in question may not choose to lend aid to the wielder. Large amount physical and spiritual fatigue if they do help. Tires out the spirit, causing Releasing requires an additional 200 Reiatsu to accomplish, as well as Release Techniques to cost 50% more for four posts. Deals constant damage the longer the cloak is active; posts one to two are small damage, scratches and such. Three and four are medium amounts of damage, larger scratches, stab wounds, etc. Five and six are large amounts of damage, such as slash wounds and third degree burns. Seven and eight are brutal amounts, deep slashes, lacerations, shreded muscles, and other such things. Nine and ten basically require the user to visit a hospital. Like immediately. Requires a material sacrifice to activate, such as blood.

{Yottsu}

Technique Description and Effects:

An incredibly powerful and dangerous technique, Yottsu, "Together", is the height of trust between a Zanpakuto Spirit and its Wielder. This technique requires intense deliberation between the Spirit and the Wielder to be used, due to the nature of this technique. When used, Yottsu allows the Zanpakuto Spirit to inhabit the same body as the Wielder. Acting similar to Soulbind, Yottsu causes the Spirit's and Wielder's souls to align, however, it also causes their 'bodies' to align. This causes the Spirit to take command of the user's body. For the next four posts, the Zanpakuto Spirit is able to release the limits on the wielder's body, allowing them to ignore things like Stamina and wounds, and allow the body to keep on fighting. Additionally, this allows the Zanpakuto Spirit to fight in place of the wielder, which means the Zanpakuto Spirit can bring to bear their own formidable fighting experience and prowess.

Mechanically, this grants someone a 3 in their respective Weapon Skill, or, if the user already has a 3, bumps it up to a 4. This lasts for four posts, before the bonuses are lost, although the Zanpakuto Spirit will still be in control. As an added bonus, if used while Ichi is in effect, the bonus from that becomes 3x instead of 2x, due to the further synchonization between the Spirit and Wielder. It lets the two move far easier as one than before. During this technique, the image of the Zanpakuto Spirit is overlayed over that of the Shinigami, fading in and out.

How to use technique: [Communicate with Zanpakuto, release Reiatsu, 'open the door' for your Zanpakuto mentally. Then sit back and relax.]

Technique Drawbacks:

This is a powerful technique. A really, really strong technique. Along with the Class One Reiatsu cost and massive spiritual and physical drain, the Zanpakuto Spirit isn't completely 'synched' with the body. This is part of what lets the Spirit surpass the body's limitations; it doesn't feel the damage done to it. Which means the actual owner of the body does albeit, because of their status, they wouldn't be able to 'die' of them per-say. This means that the Zanpakuto Spirit could easily accidentally do massive damage to their wielder if they aren't careful, and more than likely will damage them just because of this fact. Additionally, the Zanpakuto Spirit doesn't have to give control back. For a good while, anyway. Anywhere from up to one, two, three threads the Zanpakuto Spirit can be in control. The owner, however, will become progressively more comatose; the Zanpakuto they would be inhabiting isn't exactly made for them, and long enough in it will permanently damage their spirit.

Should Ichi be in use while Yottsu is in use, the drawbacks from that technique are applied to this as well. Except, a lot worse. Because of the released limits on the body, terrible damage will be inflicted on the user's body. Muscles will be shreded, bones cracked, all that fun stuff. Essentially, it's the same overextending problem Ichi has, except multiplied many more times.

Technique Description and Effects:

Go, also called "Addition", is the fifth of the Numbers. This technique allows the Zanpakuto Spirit to interact with the physical world as an attack of sorts. This technique creates a ghostly aura around the Zanpakuto, much like Ichi. Unlike Ichi, this aura is more solid, more 'real' so to speak. This technique lasts for one strike, one swing of the Zanpakuto, or simply one motion of the blade. Effectively, this technique allows the user and Zanpakuto Spirit to strike an additional time. The user of this technique can choose whether it be as soon as they attack, utilizing two attacks at once, a second before, or a second behind their original attack.

The real power, and versatility, of this technique comes from the fact that whatever effect is on the Zanpakuto, or user, at the time is copied on to the strike. (I.E, the Zanpakuto is coated with an ice-effect, the Zanpakuto the Spirit uses will also be coated with ice.). As this is a blade made of Reiatsu, it naturally bypasses the Cutback Effect.

Synergizes well with Ichi and Ni.

Technique Description and Effects:

Roku, known also as 'Stepping', is the sixth technique of 'Numbers'. This is an odd technique, as it technically requires another technique, Shunpo, to be learned and mastered. Activating this technique causes a blurry aura colored based on users Reiatsu to appear around the user's legs, but otherwise does nothing else. This aura lasts for around three posts. Once Shunpo is used while Roku is activated, however, the aura spreads to the entire body. This technique, when used with Shunpo, allows for two things. One, the user is able to instantly change direction mid-Shunpo with another Shunpo, if they need to. Two, it boosts one of the two Shunpo up to 15x, instead of 10x. It can be used for either the starting Shunpo, or the mid-way Shunpo.

This technique, effectively, has the Zanpakuto Spirit Shunpo with the user, both increasing the speed of Shunpo, and allowing the user an extra 'jump' if they need it.

Technique Drawbacks:

Though a class four technique, this technique has a 250 Reiatsu cost. Depending on the Spirit, the relationship they have with their wielder, and their nature, the spirit in question may not choose to lend aid to the wielder. Physical and spiritual fatigue if they do help. This technique places strain on the user's legs, reducing speed by 5% for at least two posts. Consecutive uses will stack 5% more on top of it, to a maximum of 20%. It is impossible to use this technique more than four posts in a row, as the muscles in the user's legs would be shredded. Must wait at least two posts for the strain to fade away, double that during combat.

Technique Description and Effects:

Shichi, "Shaping", is the seventh Number technique. An odd technique, Shichi allows the user to work with the Zanpakuto Spirit to change their Zanpakuto's shape. This works best with the Sealed State of the Zanpakuto, and can even be used on Shikai, but at a greatly reduced efficiency rate. With Shichi, it is possible to change the Sealed State of the Zanpakuto in to any weapon the Shinigami or Zanpakuto Spirit have seen, as long as it is a melee weapon, or alter their weapon in some other way. With Shikai, it is possible to change aspects of the Shikai weapon, but it is not possible to completely alter the Shikai weapon. This process varies in speed; minor alterations can be done in seconds, while a complete weapon reform will take a post. As the Zanpakuto Spirit assists with the creation of the new weapon form, they are able to assist their Wielder in using it, granting them a Weapon Skill of One in their new weapon.

Mastery of Shichi increases the speed and efficiency of the transformation, allowing the user to transform their weapon with little to no concentration, and even in the middle of a swing, for example. It also bumps the increase up to a Two, instead of a One.

All items will, of course, be made of metal, and all other Numbers techniques will work with the transformed weapon. Shichi actually is able to work on a weapon created by San, if the user so wishes to. There is no penalties for doing this, save for the fact that San has to be in effect for it to work. Obviously.

How to use technique: [Communicate with Zanpakuto Spirit, work together to reshape the Zanpakuto to the user's liking.]

Technique Drawbacks:

Class Three Reiatsu cost. Depending on the Spirit, the relationship they have with their wielder, and their nature, the spirit in question may not choose to lend aid to the wielder. Large amounts of Physical and spiritual fatigue if they do help. Only one change per post may be done, and up to four minor alterations are allowed. Impossible to use on Bankai. This technique will not change the base form of a Zanpakuto permanently, and all changes will eventually (within five posts) fade back in to the original design of the Zanpakuto. Melee weapons that happen to use Projectiles will not be created with those projectiles. The Weapon Skill addition does not extend to other weapons of the changed weapon's type, only to the changed Zanpakuto. Changing one aspect of the Zanpakuto, say, Sharpness, will decrease another aspect, like Durability. The power has to be pulled from somewhere, yeah?

This means once the user initiates this technique, they cannot stop their limb from the movement.

Technique Description and Effects: This technique is a basic technique. To become one with one's weapon to such a degree, that one can FEEL through one's weapon. Using this technique, the user flexes their muscles all along the limbs currently wielding the bladed weapon, causing a sudden jolt of kinetic energy through the blade itself, causing it to resonate. This causes an outward pulse through the weapon itself, then rebounding back to the weapon.

At Base Class 5, this technique allows the user, once per three (Two at Proficient, once per post as Mastered) posts release a short-distance resonance wave with the weapon, giving them perception of everything within 2 meters of the user, as if they were being touched physically. The user must be holding still for the instant that this technique is used (Those with lower instincts will be more open than those with higher instincts, as they will be able to shorten the 'instant' that they are still).

At Class 3, mastery of this technique allows the user to maintain this resonance not just by holding still and flexing like before, but by simply reading the natural resonance of the bladed weapon that they are holding. At this level, so long as the user is moving the blade above 300 speed, the resonance of the blade moving through the air will allow them to sense the area around them within 2 (3 at proficient, 4 at mastered) meters of the user as though anything in that zone were in physical contact with them.

How to use technique: This technique is utilized in early stages by forcing the blade to resonate to such a degree that the feedback is palpable, and at higher class the technique is about being able to sense the vibrations without forcing it.

Technique Drawbacks Though this technique does not cost reiatsu, it is taxing. Class 5 has limited uses based on it's mastery, and even then it is tiring to flex repeatedly as soon as absolutely possible (The post limitation is pushing it to the limit, not what is comfortable, spacing out the flexes alleviates the fatigue). At Higher classes, the user is required to move at a speed that is taxing, especially when going well above the 300 speed requirement. Lastly, the user needs high senses in order to properly feel the blade if they are not particularly skilled with the weapon. Requires 100 senses for class 5, and 300 for class 3. This senses requirement is reduced by 50 per point that the user has in Weapon Skill (Bladed weapons only), and Analysis (As this assists in reading the vibrations).
This technique can only apply when using a weapon with a metal blade.

Technique Description and Effects: To grasp the student's hand, and guide them. A simple action that any practitioner with a teacher is familiar with. To take hold of one's blade, and guide them, to teach the motion through gentle touch. This technique applies that theology to an attack. A Ranged attack. When using any ranged technique, before the attack is fully launched, the user till dip their blade into the attack itself, and then perform the slash, turning the ranged attack into a wide sweeping slash attack as guided by the blade.

At Class 5, this widens the attack by up to 30 degrees at learned (50 at proficient, 70 degrees at mastered), and changes the range of the attack to 30 feet unless the range was already shorter. At Class 2, this can widen the technique to 90 degrees at Learned (180 degrees at Proficient, and a full circular 360 degrees at mastered), and sets the technique's range at 60 feet, unless the range was already shorter.

If the user also knows Redirection, this technique can be used to redirect an incoming attack, as well as fanning it into a slashing attack, requiring them to pay reiatsu equal to the incoming technique to reinforce their body and blade, as well as taxing stamina as if the user were moving at 4x their maximum speed.

How to use technique: Fire ranged technique, insert blade into projectile before launch, slash.

Technique Drawbacks While this technique does not require reiatsu, it is taxing, requiring 2 posts of rest between uses (reduced to 1 post between uses by paying 50 (200 at class 2) reiatsu to reinforce the body). Additionally, the Redirection version of this technique while reinforcing the body, does not reinforce the blade, and thus using this on techniques of higher OS will cause your blade to suffer normal damage it would take from taking such an attack. A damaged blade cannot be used for any level of this technique, even a small scratch on the blade will cause the ranged attack to simply explode in the user's face (refering to the blade's condition at the start of the technique, a blade that is damaged during the technique will still successfully execute).

Technique Description and Effects: The Blade is not just a tool, it is a partof the body. And as one wield the blade, one of the first lessons is in balancing the body to move the blade. However, the opposite is also possible. Using this technique, the user uses the blade to move their body, rather than the other way around. By executing this technique, the user executes a slash with the flat of the blade, rather than with the blade's edge, rapidly jerking the weight distribution of the body and allowing the user to make tight, almost dime-narrow turns that normally would be impossible while moving, allowing the user to change directions without losing momentum or stumbling as one usually would when dedicating their full speed and strength to a motion.

At Proficient, the user is able to execute this technique with the blade still facing edge-first through the slash. Where previously, the Dance could only be used to move, and not to simultaniously attack, this level of mastery allows such a thing, so long as the user also has at least 2 in Weapon skill (Bladed weapons only). Additionally, this technique can be used while moving mid-air.

At Mastered, a new path opens up in the dance. With 400 instincts, reduced by 50 per point in Weapon Skill (Bladed Weapons) and their Race's Relevent Stepping skill (Hoho, Sonido, ect), the user can execute this technique mid-step, allowing them to both attack, and change the direction of their step, midway through. This reduces the speed of the step by 3x the user's current speed.

How to use technique: Performing a slash midway through a fully-commited motion to rapidly change the vector and intensity of the motion.

Technique Drawbacks While this technique does not cost reiatsu, it can be taxing at later masteries. When using the Proficient version of this technique, strain can build up over time. If this technique's proficient version is used 3 times within a 6 post period, they will lose the sensation in their sword arm. If used 3 times within 4 posts, the user will suffer tendon and muscle damage, cutting speed and strength of the arms by 25%.

At Mastered, this is even more taxing. In addition to the use limitations set by proficient, this technique used during a step will make that step count as 2 steps for the total number of steps the user can make that post. If the target uses this level without the required instincts/skills, they must pay 300 reiatsu instead, as the spiritual energy can briefly be used to supplement their reflexes to the required levels.

{Iaijutsu}
Technique Name: Iaijutsu (Sudden Strike Technique)

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): The user of this technique draws their sword and strikes with one fluid, lightning-fast motion. This technique can easily catch an unprepared opponent off-guard. This attack is made at 2x the user's Speed, or at a speed of 600 (whichever is faster). Due to the sudden nature of this attack, characters with less than 200 Instinct are caught completely flat-footed and unable to react to this attack, unless they meet one of the alternative requirements (see drawbacks below).

Except where noted, this is otherwise an ordinary melee strike and has no reiatsu cost. Proficiency with this technique allows the user to immediately sheathe their weapon after making their attack.

Mastery of this technique allows for it to be combined with Shunpo to draw, strike, and sheathe the weapon in the blink of an eye. This variant costs 50 reiatsu to perform, and gains the benefits of a 3x Speed Boost (instead of the usual 2x). This variant is imperceptible to characters with less than 200 Senses. Characters with 200+ Senses detect a blur of movement from the user but may not be able to react to the attack unless they have 200+ Instinct and/or one of the benefits listed in drawbacks below.

How to use technique (How is it activated?): Simply draw your weapon and strike in a single fluid motion.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) This technique rarely works more than once per thread, as any opponent who witnesses this technique being used can react to it normally (regardless of Instinct). Even against aware opponents, this attack retains its speed however and should not be underestimated.

In addition, characters who know this technique or have Battle Analysis of 2 (or above) can easily identify the ready stances used in this technique and predict the user's intent. Such characters are never caught off-guard by this attack but will still need to react to its incredible speed.

This technique can only be used with a sheathed sword. In order to use this technique more than once during a single thread, the user must sheathe their weapon prior to using this technique again. This technique requires 2 SKP in Weapons (Sword) in order to be used, and 3 SKP to be mastered.

{Ten Kaika Ken}
Technique Name: Ten Kaika Ken (Heavenly Flower Fist)

Technique Description and Effects: Considered a beautiful technique by those who witness it, those who experience it have a much different opinion. By making contact with an object or person, the user is able to vibrate their Reiatsu in sync with whatever they are touching, and forcibly expel the Reiatsu through the target. As the Reiatsu is expelled, it spirals outward and breaks away into shapes that are reminiscent of flower petals – hence the name. Though beautiful, the technique is destructive in nature, and is used to cause massive internal damage at the cost of damaging the hand of the user. After one use, there is internal bleeding inside the target on every organ, as well as a significant amount of pain; they will begin coughing up blood as well. A second use results in organs being ruptured and torn, which thus causes more bleeding. A third use results in complete internal destruction. If used on a physical or spiritual object, the object is completely destroyed from the inside out, leaving it hollow.

How to use technique: The user has to make contact with a target with their hands – through a fist or open palm gesture if they want – and vibrate their Reiatsu in sync with that of the opponent, then fire it outward.

Technique Drawbacks: A moderate Reiatsu cost is one drawback. The second is the damage caused by the Reiatsu that was vibrated in the hand used. The hand, after just one use, will be completely numb, and covered in deep cuts, which results in a significant amount of bleeding, and a loss in dexterity. Moreover, the bones in the hand become fractured, adding to the pain. After a second use, the hand is useless, and it is destroyed internally. Furthermore, if the Combat Stat of the target is superior to that of the user's Combat Stat, the damage is cut by fifty percent. At a fifty percent difference in superiority by the target, the damage of this technique is nullified.This technique does not ignore defense techniques like Hierro/Blut, and will result in a clash if used (technique vs technique). Finally, this technique can only be used once per post of the user.

{Greater Wild Arts: Spirit Fang}

Technique Description and Effects:

“There is always someone stronger” is a saying that few take to heart, but from that understanding came a technique that would weaken those who are strong and bring them down to the user's level. The Soul Fang literally delves into the target’s soul, no longer just tearing at it but ripping it apart and weakening the foe. This is a slight alteration to standard Reiatsu, a thinned-out and distilled version that passes through and does not damage solid matter. However, when these fangs tear into a target, it is easy to tell; weakness and dizziness overcome a target on the first hit, and subsequent hits only make it worse.

This technique, on a successful hit, lowers the target’s stats by 10% of their original amount after Type changes. 5% is recovered every three posts, or after an extended rest. This effect also stacks with itself.

How to use technique: The user surrounds the weapon or limb that they are using to strike with Reiatsu, but then allow that Reiatsu to disperse and thin out. Then they attack physically, striking at the opponent’s body, letting the Reiatsu tear through their spirit.

Drawback: This technique can only be used twice per post, successful or not. It can also be blocked by defending against the attacking weapon or limb; though the Reiatsu that is used to bite into the enemy's spirit is insubstantial, the weapon or limb is not.

Requirements: This requires a 3 in Hakuda along with a 3 in any weapon that the user chooses to make use of with this technique.

{Wild Arts: Hundred Fangs}

Technique Description and Effects:

This technique was developed in order to increase the user's strength in hand-to-hand combat. Using this technique sends Reiatsu pooling into the muscles and joints of his arms and hands, strengthening them and increasing their resilience. By using that same Reiatsu, he sends powerful impulses to the nerves that allows his limbs to react quickly in the form of a hundred powerful punches. Each one is fired off at twice the user's current Speed stat, causing his limbs to blur as the attacks are delivered in a sudden barrage that lasts only a few seconds. Each hit’s damage is equal to the combined total of user’s base Strength and Speed after type. This causes a massive amount of damage in a short time.

How to use technique: The user focuses their Reiatsu into the arms, strengthening the muscles and bones first to prevent excessive damage from overuse of the limbs. Following that, the same Reiatsu is channeled into the nerves and causes them to fire impulses rapidly, making his limbs move quickly in the form of a hundred lightning-fast blows.

Drawback: Moving one’s limbs beyond their natural limits causes strain and damage on the muscles and bone; though Reiatsu is first channeled to prevent the worst of the damage, each use of this technique wears down the muscles and causes them to throb heavily after only one use. Two uses within five posts causes the muscles to begin tearing, and small fractures along the bone. Three uses within five posts will completely tear several muscles while cracking the bones, and any additional uses within that initial five posts will render the user's arms useless without proper healing. This technique can only safely be used eight times within a thread without healing.

Requirements: This requires a 2 in Hakuda to perform.

Technique Description and Effects:
With the Rhythm Beat stance, the user is put into a specific pattern and rhythm of blows that can only increase or decrease in speed, while remaining in an almost constant series of predictable motions. Different Tempo shakes up that pattern, allowing the user to tense their muscles and completely redirect the momentum of their body, provided that they were the origin of it. A punch might suddenly jerk to the side instead of being a straight blow mid-strike, or a strike might be withdrawn to avoid a slashing blade that would cut them even if it was mid-attack. This technique is stand-alone and can work without the use of the Rhythm Beat stance, but it is most effective when paired with it, allowing the user to shake up a predictable pattern while maintaining the momentum necessary for high-speed combat.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and redirect the momentum of one's blow, even in a completely opposite direction.

Technique Drawbacks:
The main drawback to this technique is the muscle fatigue that comes with it, varying based on the reversal of momentum. Complete reversal is obviously the most straining compared to a redirection, and the higher the speed, the higher the risk of muscle and bone damage. Repeated use of more than three times in a post even at lesser amounts of stress can also cause this damage. Requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.

Technique Description and Effects:
Everything must come to an end, and so to does this apply to the forward momentum of a continuous series of strikes that is the Rhythm Beat technique line. However, the finale is where the most effort is needed for a successful combination, and this applies here. The user doubles their current speed and strength to strike at a foe with a single blow, hitting them with an amazing amount of force. However, the real power behind this technique is not the initial hit; rather, the momentum built up by the user's speed and increased strength is transferred through the blow, generating enormous impact force that sends a foe flying even if it does not break through defenses.

While this is a standalone technique, it flourishes at the end of a successful Rhythm Beat combination. Normally no other stat boosts will stack with this technique, but Rhythm Beat's speed boost through continuous momentum does apply before the doubling bonus. Naturally, the 3x cap on speed still applies. This technique counts as a short-term status boost.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and release a single powerful blow. More effective if momentum is already built up to make for an even faster blow.

Technique Drawbacks
The doubling of speed without the use of Reiatsu, simply overexerting the muscles, is extremely straining on the limb used for the strike. The limb's muscles will tear and the bone will weaken, making that limb more susceptible to attacks and reducing its speed by half. Additionally, a second use with the same limb will only grant a 50% speed boost for the technique, and will tear the muscles completely as well as shatter the bone, making that limb useless until healing is given. It costs 100 Reiatsu per use. To use this particular brand of Shunpo, the user must train to learn it. It is treated as a Class 5 technique. Senka is an 11x increase in Speed.

Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

A stance-type technique, this one requires the user to slip into a state of automatic combat. Automatic combat is a mental state in which the user continues at the exact same pacing of their previous blows, creating a rhythmic pattern that allows them to fight without focusing on it. During this, the user becomes accustomed to their own movements, flowing into the same speed and rhythm of attacks until it's no longer required to think about it. That's when this technique truly begins to shine; upon that point, the user can speed up or slow down that rhythm suddenly, creating a pattern of attacks that suddenly alters in speed. Slowing in speed takes no effort, merely the conscious decision to hold back a blow, but speeding up is another story.

When speeding up, the user must do so gradually; as they become accustomed to their movements at a set pace beyond their normal limit, they can slowly push themselves further and further. With each post of consecutive rhythmic attacks, the user can adapt and push their muscles so that they move an additional 50 speed faster with their consistent attacks. This can be continued up until the maximum of the 3x limit on speed boosts. However, if speed is dropped at all, it caps at the speed dropped to or the user's maximum speed, whichever is higher, and can only regain 50 speed per post. Example, if the user has 300 Speed, after one post they can have 350, and after two their attacks come at 400 speed. However, if they drop down to 300 for a slowed move to surprise a foe, they cannot just go back up to 400 speed, and instead have to work up at 50 per post again. If they dropped down to 200, however, they could immediately make the next blow 300, as that is their natural cap.

How to use technique:
Begin striking in a consistent, consecutive rhythm of blows, adapting to it over time and adjusting speed as able.

Technique Drawbacks:
Stamina. Aside from that, the biggest drawback to this technique is its predictability; the user does have to build up a rhythm of strikes, and because they are fighting almost off-handedly, even if they have control over how they strike, there is a pattern in the motions that can be countered by an analytical foe. Note that this counts as a long-term buff if used for more than two posts (i.e. after the first post of increased speed); otherwise, it is counted as a short-term buff. With the Rhythm Beat stance, the user is put into a specific pattern and rhythm of blows that can only increase or decrease in speed, while remaining in an almost constant series of predictable motions. Different Tempo shakes up that pattern, allowing the user to tense their muscles and completely redirect the momentum of their body, provided that they were the origin of it. A punch might suddenly jerk to the side instead of being a straight blow mid-strike, or a strike might be withdrawn to avoid a slashing blade that would cut them even if it was mid-attack. This technique is stand-alone and can work without the use of the Rhythm Beat stance, but it is most effective when paired with it, allowing the user to shake up a predictable pattern while maintaining the momentum necessary for high-speed combat.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and redirect the momentum of one's blow, even in a completely opposite direction.

Technique Drawbacks:
The main drawback to this technique is the muscle fatigue that comes with it, varying based on the reversal of momentum. Complete reversal is obviously the most straining compared to a redirection, and the higher the speed, the higher the risk of muscle and bone damage. Everything must come to an end, and so to does this apply to the forward momentum of a continuous series of strikes that is the Rhythm Beat technique line. However, the finale is where the most effort is needed for a successful combination, and this applies here. The user doubles their current speed and strength to strike at a foe with a single blow, hitting them with an amazing amount of force. However, the real power behind this technique is not the initial hit; rather, the momentum built up by the user's speed and increased strength is transferred through the blow, generating enormous impact force that sends a foe flying even if it does not break through defenses.

While this is a standalone technique, it flourishes at the end of a successful Rhythm Beat combination. Normally no other stat boosts will stack with this technique, but Rhythm Beat's speed boost through continuous momentum does apply before the doubling bonus. Naturally, the 3x cap on speed still applies. This technique counts as a short-term status boost.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and release a single powerful blow. More effective if momentum is already built up to make for an even faster blow.

Technique Drawbacks
The doubling of speed without the use of Reiatsu, simply overexerting the muscles, is extremely straining on the limb used for the strike. The limb's muscles will tear and the bone will weaken, making that limb more susceptible to attacks and reducing its speed by half. Additionally, a second use with the same limb will only grant a 50% speed boost for the technique, and will tear the muscles completely as well as shatter the bone, making that limb useless until healing is given. Requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.

Description: The user makes use of his innate speed to move flawlessly. From a standing stance, or from any resting position, the first step that the user does becomes an illusion, moving quickly than the eye can see. This technique gives the user a short burst of speed to move and invade an opponent's personal space, and engage in hand to hand combat, or to weave in and out of an opponent's attack. This move triples normal speed for each step, and uses no reiatsu.

How to use: The user simply channels reiatsu around his feet instead of gathering spirit particles as what Shunpo or Sonido does.

Drawback(s): Shukuchi-Ho requires its user to have at least a base SPEED of 400 points, and is versed in Hakuda (meaning the character must be very knowledgeable in the shinigami art of hand-to-hand fighting). Also, the technique can only be used if the opponent is within 10 meters of the user. If the opponent is too far, the technique cannot be used. A maximum of 2 steps per post can only be done using Shukuchi-Ho, nothing more, nothing less. Note that Shukuchi-Ho is by no means superior to Shunpo or Sonido.

For one single attack, the user's physical strength doubles. If this is used during a technique that increases strength, then the hit strength of that technique is what doubles instead of base strength.

How to use technique:

Must have at least a 3 in Hakuda, 800 speed, and 250 strength. Must be at least Rank Level 3 to learn this technique.

Drawback:

This technique is one of the less straining ones, but regardless is still straining. A healthy specimen may be able to use this technique more, but they will still be hit eventually by heart damage, heart trauma, and muscular pains.

This technique was developed in order to increase the user's strength in hand-to-hand combat. Using this technique sends Reiatsu pooling into the muscles and joints of his arms and hands, strengthening them and increasing their resilience. By using that same Reiatsu, he sends powerful impulses to the nerves that allows his limbs to react quickly in the form of a hundred powerful punches. Each one is fired off at twice the user's current Speed stat, causing his limbs to blur as the attacks are delivered in a sudden barrage that lasts only a few seconds. Each hit’s damage is equal to the combined total of user’s base Strength and Speed after type. This causes a massive amount of damage in a short time.

How to use technique: The user focuses their Reiatsu into the arms, strengthening the muscles and bones first to prevent excessive damage from overuse of the limbs. Following that, the same Reiatsu is channeled into the nerves and causes them to fire impulses rapidly, making his limbs move quickly in the form of a hundred lightning-fast blows.

Drawback: Moving one’s limbs beyond their natural limits causes strain and damage on the muscles and bone; though Reiatsu is first channeled to prevent the worst of the damage, each use of this technique wears down the muscles and causes them to throb heavily after only one use. Two uses within five posts causes the muscles to begin tearing, and small fractures along the bone. Three uses within five posts will completely tear several muscles while cracking the bones, and any additional uses within that initial five posts will render the user's arms useless without proper healing. This technique can only safely be used eight times within a thread without healing.

Requirements: This requires a 2 in Hakuda to perform.

“There is always someone stronger” is a saying that few take to heart, but from that understanding came a technique that would weaken those who are strong and bring them down to the user's level. The Soul Fang literally delves into the target’s soul, no longer just tearing at it but ripping it apart and weakening the foe. This is a slight alteration to standard Reiatsu, a thinned-out and distilled version that passes through and does not damage solid matter. However, when these fangs tear into a target, it is easy to tell; weakness and dizziness overcome a target on the first hit, and subsequent hits only make it worse.

This technique, on a successful hit, lowers the target’s stats by 10% of their original amount after Type changes. 5% is recovered every three posts, or after an extended rest. This effect also stacks with itself.

How to use technique: The user surrounds the weapon or limb that they are using to strike with Reiatsu, but then allow that Reiatsu to disperse and thin out. Then they attack physically, striking at the opponent’s body, letting the Reiatsu tear through their spirit.

Drawback: This technique can only be used twice per post, successful or not. It can also be blocked by defending against the attacking weapon or limb; though the Reiatsu that is used to bite into the enemy's spirit is insubstantial, the weapon or limb is not.

Requirements: This requires a 3 in Hakuda along with a 3 in any weapon that the user chooses to make use of with this technique.

{Saiga Rendan}
Technique Name: Saiga Rendan (Crushing Fang Combo)

Technique Type: Hakuda

Technique Description: This technique is second only to Ikkotsu and Sokotsu in power, and none in terms of speed and execution. The user adopts a low stance, crouching slightly, with both hands cocked at waist level. The head hangs back a bit, and the dominant foot is placed forward, with the other foot supporting the weight of the body. The user then focuses on the target's movements.

Once the target gets close enough, the user then explodes with a four-part attack that increases in intensity. The attacks are impossible to evade if target has lesser Speed than the user, and goes through blocks if user has 20% more Strength than the target.

First part of the attack starts with the user stepping in quickly, closing the gap between the target and the user as fast and as smoothly as possible. During this time, the user executes a blow towards the target's chin using a powerful kick, sending the target flying up high. The user's strength for this blow is multiplied by 2 for that single instant.

As the target flies up, the user then executes the second part. He jumps up to the air, shadowing the target in a parallel, vertical position. As the user shadows the target, the user executes an elbow strike towards the target's spinal cord, near the base of the neck, causing temporary nerve strain on the target, lowering reaction speed by 50% for 1 post. If the target has less Strength than user, the reaction speed loss lasts for 3 posts instead.

The user then quickly uses Shunpo or Shukuchi-Ho, moving to the front, and executing the third part, which is a one-step attack using the knee. The user performs a knee-strike to the abdomen of the target, drilling hard on that area with a focused strike, penetrating defense of the target if the user has more Strength than the target, and causing high damage.

After the knee strike, the user then prepares for the final attack. The user moves above the target and flips the target so that the target's chest is in front of the user. In one powerful push, the user then performs a heel kick toward's the target's chest, drilling on the target's sternum with the heel. For this strike, Strength is multiplied by 3 for that one strike only. The strike ends the technique, and sends the target cascading towards the ground. Everything happens in a few seconds, not even a minute. That's how fast the technique is executed.

How to Use Technique: Stated above.

Drawback: The technique requires its user to stand still and focus on its target before execution. If the user's Speed is less than 400, the technique is impossible to perform, simply because the reaction time needed to execute the technique is very fast. Instinct of at least 100 and Senses of at least 100 is also required to perform the technique. The technique induces a bit of a strain to the reiatsu channels of the user IF they connect, causing a 20% increase in reiatsu consumption on all techniques that lasts for 3 posts. Strength is lowered by 10% for 1 post. Uses 50 reiatsu for Shunpo if it was used instead of Shukuchi-Ho.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): The user of this technique draws their sword and strikes with one fluid, lightning-fast motion. This technique can easily catch an unprepared opponent off-guard. This attack is made at 2x the user's Speed, or at a speed of 600 (whichever is faster). Due to the sudden nature of this attack, characters with less than 200 Instinct are caught completely flat-footed and unable to react to this attack, unless they meet one of the alternative requirements (see drawbacks below).

Except where noted, this is otherwise an ordinary melee strike and has no reiatsu cost. Proficiency with this technique allows the user to immediately sheathe their weapon after making their attack.

Mastery of this technique allows for it to be combined with Shunpo to draw, strike, and sheathe the weapon in the blink of an eye. This variant costs 50 reiatsu to perform, and gains the benefits of a 3x Speed Boost (instead of the usual 2x). This variant is imperceptible to characters with less than 200 Senses. Characters with 200+ Senses detect a blur of movement from the user but may not be able to react to the attack unless they have 200+ Instinct and/or one of the benefits listed in drawbacks below.

How to use technique (How is it activated?): Simply draw your weapon and strike in a single fluid motion.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) This technique rarely works more than once per thread, as any opponent who witnesses this technique being used can react to it normally (regardless of Instinct). Even against aware opponents, this attack retains its speed however and should not be underestimated.

In addition, characters who know this technique or have Battle Analysis of 2 (or above) can easily identify the ready stances used in this technique and predict the user's intent. Such characters are never caught off-guard by this attack but will still need to react to its incredible speed.

This technique can only be used with a sheathed sword. In order to use this technique more than once during a single thread, the user must sheathe their weapon prior to using this technique again. This technique requires 2 SKP in Weapons (Sword) in order to be used, and 3 SKP to be mastered.

The user simply draws their weapon, performs a slash at 3x their speed and sheathes their weapon. The transition between drawing, attacking and sheathing is rather seamless. It can appear invisible to slower opponents or those without the proper senses and instinct. Appearing as if the user had never drawn their weapon to begin with. The only sign generally to the victim is a powerful cut.

How to use technique: Flow reiatsu into sword arm, Draw weapon, attack and sheath.

Technique Drawbacks: Nadegiri is a powerful Zanjutsu technique that requires the user to have a 3 in a weapon skill to perform and at least 500 speed to learn. Due to the precision, speed and overall power, this technique can cause minor muscle damage on the users sword arm due to it tripling their speed. Though Reiatsu is first flowed through the users arm to prevent major damage to the user's muscles and bone. It still causes stress due to the precision and speed of the cut. Thus the user is recommended to rest their sword arm for a single post before using Nadegiri again. Excessive use of this technique while ignoring the rest time, will tear muscle and can even break bones, if the user is not careful. Nadegiri though combining the speed and offensive cutting power of the user's weapon still follows the 3x rule and can not exceed it. So say if the user had 400 cutting power and 400 speed, this technique would combine the two, making it a 800 base. The combination of these two stats, couldn't exceed 2400 with this technique. This technique counts as a short term stat boost and thus has a natural limit of uses in a thread.

This powerful Hakuda technique is used by many Hakuda specialists. This takes the retaliation concept of Wing-Chun and applies it to Hakuda. When the enemy launches a physical attack, the user grabs a hold of their attack, and loosens up the body, becoming a single, fluid motion of instant retaliation. This is a difficult technique to respond to because of the fluidity, requiring a minimum of 100 in instinct/senses to react to.

Once this happens, the user redirects that force into a forward punch into the enemy's body. This punch has the strength of both the user and enemy layered on top of one another for extra damage due to the absorption of force.

How to use technique:

Requires at least a 3 in Hakuda to be used. Also requires at least a 1 in any one of the following martial arts: Wing Chun, Jiujitsu, Karatedo, Kung Fu, TKD, Keysi, Hapkido, or Shotokan. Class 3+ characters only.

Oh for the love of the Soul King, will you shut the fuck up?! And there was Tengoku no Yami. Chuckling to himself, Albin allowed the two to bicker in his psyche as he continued to walk, his gold-inlaid Haori trailing behind him. Take a moment to analyze the situation, dumbass! We don't need any of that fuckin' nerd speak to get us through this fight! Deciding to interrupt the two as he kept walking, Albin spoke once more. "Hey now, no need to get so aggressive with your sister, Yami. She means well, you know that. That said, she's also far more intelligent that I think either of us can reasonably comprehend at the moment. Best to just let her share what she's got."

Whatever, Yami complained. Thank you, Master. I appreciate your efforts to defend me. As I was saying, your fight with Miss Shindazu is not one I recommend you take lightly. Tengoku no Yami and I will provide support wherever possible. We shall not let you fall. Looking around, and keeping himself away from the walls of the Dangai, Albin tucked his hands into his Haori's pockets. The cloak was surprisingly comfortable, given the wear and tear that Squad 13's previous captain had caused it. If he could help it, he was going to continue to maintain the quality of it until the day he fell for good. Smiling, Albin allowed his mind to drift back into thoughts regarding his time as an unseated Shinigami.

As he stepped out of the Dangai, arriving in Wyoming still lost in thought, Albin allowed himself to slowly descend to meet his sandals with the dirt beneath his feet. Taking a soft breath of fresh air as he allowed himself to come down from his nostalgia-fueled trip down memory lane, Albin looked around. His expression quickly soured the moment that he'd realized the entire farmland he was in had been barren; devoid of any plantlife, with what little had been there quickly dying. The sight saddened the man. It was... depressing, to say the least.

Hey, Albin, Yami spoke, do what you can to stop the tears. We've got a mission to focus on. Don't let yourself get caught up in your emotions like that, else you'll end up eating shit in the fuckin' dirt. Chuckling again, Albin responded. "Got it, Yami. Thanks for your encouraging, if not a bit vulgar words." Pulling out his Soul Pager, Albin zoomed out in order to get a good look of the area; seemed that he was being approached rather quickly. Good, it seemed that his message had gotten through.

Albin still hadn't found himself forgiving Celes for what had happened over the last few years. While sure, he still immensely cared for the girl, he knew firsthand that he couldn't let those feelings get in the way of what needed to happen. Though, he was interested that she seemed fairly willing to respond to his challenge; to finally settle everything between the two of them in one last combat. Clear all grudges, hold nothing back, and just fight until one or both of them dropped. He knew that he wasn't going to be holding back under any circumstances; he'd only hoped that Celes was going to show him the same courtesy.

As someone approached, presumably Celes, Albin let out a soft sigh. "Long time no see," he called out, taking his hands out of his pockets, resting is left arm across his twin Zanpakuto, "I'm glad you took the time to answer my call. Let's just have a good fight, yeah?" Throwing his left leg behind him, and putting his right hand up in an open position in front of his face for protection, Albin allowed his face to turn much more serious. If Celes tried to pick out anything from his next few words, she'd find nothing but regret and pensiveness.

"In the name of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, I, Albin Landry, Captain of the Thirteenth Squad, am here to put an end to your reign of carnage. Lay down your arms and return to Soul Society with me peacefully, and we can make sure your execution is painless, Celes. Raise arms against me, and I'm afraid that you'll be cut down. Please; don't make me need to do this."

Screams of anguish and the throes of death. They had dulled over time, but every now and then they still were crystal clear to Celes. They used to haunt her but was a long time ago. She hated to do it, but every now and then she pondered on the past. She looked at every angle. Wanted to see where she went wrong. Where she could have tried to appease Soul Society. Yet each time she did she came to the same answer. They were the ones that abandoned her. They had forsaken her, and she was going to pay that back in blood. As she thought about it now, memories while fragmented...fell into place.

The streets of Karakura lay in ruins. Smoke was rising, the streets alit with fire and countless bodies lay strewn across the ground. What was originally supposed to be a simple job for Celes, to ward off a sudden Hollow threat, became a vicious fight. Blood began to drip to the ground as the Shinigami found herself struck countless times, looking down at the corpse of an Arrancar. She looked around for a moment, finding herself surrounded. She steeled herself, reading her blades. She was not the type to give up without a fight. She knew reinforcements were coming. She just had to hold out a little longer. She needed to defend innocent lives; it was her duty after all... 

...The Arrancar began to close in slowly, eyeing her like predator do prey. Her eyes darted between each one of them as she prepared herself. That's when she heard a voice. A familiar yet sinister tone that filled her head. "Celes...Celes. Celes! Let me take over. This will be difficult to handle even for you. Besides, I'm itching for a fight and am willing to send these worthless souls straight to Hell! You need to take the initaitive. You need to strike. I won't cease to exist over some stupid mistake by you." The Shinigami growled and shook her head. Her voice rang through her head, addressing the Hollow inside. "Will you shut up for once. I don't need you. I can handle this by myself.." Suddenly she heard another chuckle with a comment that made her heart sink. "Oh Celes. I was not asking..." As the Arrancar continued to close in, Celes' spiritual pressure suddenly shot out. They could all feel it, staring at her cautiously. Fragments of black and red, pure reiatsu, flowed along her face....

...The bodies of the Arrancar lay in ruin. Their bones shattered; their corpses brutalized. Only one stood among them, shaking as she stared at the Hollowfied Shinigami approaching her. Quicker than the eye could see, Celes slashed at Arrancar, splitting her in half as her sudden scream was drowned out by the choking of blood. She was victorious yet it seemed that luck was not on her side. She felt some new souls enter the fray. A Senkaimon gate that opened as several division members poured out of it, shocked by what they saw before them. One of them spoke in a shy and worried voice as Celes stood with her back to them. "C...captain Celes. Are you okay..?" The Captain moved slowly, almost inhuman, as a wicked grin spread across her lips. The mask coming into view with black sclera and yellow lenses peering at them. They stood in shock for a moment, unprepared as Celes responded. RAAARGHHHH!!!...

...The rogue Shinigami found herself, the tattered and ripped Haori of a Captain wrapped around her waist, walking down the streets. A lovely midnight stroll that let her calm her mind. The moon shone brightly as she felt a presence, stalking in the shadows. Celes simply spoke up. "No need to hide. Come...step in the light. The moon is beautiful and soothing." Stepping out from the shadows, Celes looked back and saw an old mentor of hers. A friend from a time long ago. Venus. Celes chuckled for a moment. "I knew it was a matter of time till I'd be sought out. How are you doing Venus?" Celes could feel a sadness from her friend as she spoke. "Celes. I've come to take you back. You been ordered to be executed. I'm sorry..." Celes sighed and shook her head. "I'm not coming back Venus. They cast me out instead of offering help. They betrayed me. Now unless you wish to join me in my walk, then please return to Soul Society." Venus sighed, reading what Celes knew to be a combative stance. Celes blinked at her. "You too huh...Well. I'm sorry too.."...

Celes felt herself return to the here and now. The image of Venus' corpse still fresh in her mind. She sighed and shook her head, muttering to herself. "It's too late for regrets. I must look forward. One day they will pay. They all will suffer for that they did to me..." For now, it was time to focus on the battle ahead. She had received another message from an old acquaintance. A Shinigami of Soul Society, requesting to meet him here...in the middle of nowhere. She growled at the thought. Could it have been a trap? Maybe. But to her, Albin would not be the first Shinigami that she fought. In her mind, he would certainly not be the last. Soon she would see a figure come into view. Undoubtedly Albin. 

As she approached the Shinigami gave her a solemn greeting. "Long time no see," Celes merely groaned, not offering him much of a greeting back. "I'm glad you took the time to answer my call. Let's just have a good fight, yeah?" Celes could not help, but chuckle. Just what the hell was he on about. He was acting as though they were on good terms. As though this was just another reunion. Celes would not answer, her tattered Haori still wrapped around her shoulder. It seemed that Albin had a shred of deceny in him, though futile, as Celes heard him out. "In the name of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, I, Albin Landry, Captain of the Thirteenth Squad, am here to put an end to your reign of carnage. Lay down your arms and return to Soul Society with me peacefully, and we can make sure your execution is painless, Celes. Raise arms against me, and I'm afraid that you'll be cut down. Please; don't make me need to do this."

Her eyes widened as a smile drew across her face. She could not hold herself back. She broke into hysterical laughter though something was off. It was twisted. The light that once brightened her soul long gone having flickered out of existence the day she lost Venus and later Yunorashi. She had gained incredible power, but at what cost. It troubled her greatly, but the damage was done. Yunorashi was gone and with it, the hope she once carried. She spoke softly. "You know these things never end pretty. This will be no different. You are not the first they've sent after me. You certainly will not be the last. As long as I have anything to say about it. Though a Captain. I'm quite hornored to be seen as such a high value target." 

Celes cracked her neck from side to side. No aggressive movements yet. For as much as she wished to rip out Albin's still-beating heart, she would show temperance for now. Her eyes focused on that blade. The last few years had her hone her ability to sense reiatsu. While still weakened, she could see the sheath of reiatsu flow over the blade clearly before it disappeared. She smirked, knowing exactly what it meant. That blade likely became a whole hell of a lot sharper. She had to admit, she was not afraid. Quite the opposite. The opportunity to cut a Captain down. To try and eliminate one of the upper echelons in the chain of command.

She sighed for a moment. "I guess it can't be avoided." She smirked as a scowl touched her face, her voice spitting with pure venom. "Come Shinigami. Show me what the new generation can do." Despite the anger that she felt, the hate that filled her core, she stood in place. Her style had not changed. She was the former Captain of the Tenth Division, a former bastion of defense. She did not draw her Zanpakutou, instead falling into old habits and raising her fists. Lightly hopping on her feet, she was prepared to potentially beat the Captain to death if she had to. She could not restrain herself, not in a situation like this. This was a fight for her survival and her goal was to walk away from this.

Listening in as the girl let out a rather cacophonous laughter, Albin couldn't help but watch in confusion over the matter. He'd not interacted with her long, but from what he'd known, she wasn't like this. Whelp, seems like someone's fuckin' lost it, Yami spoke in the recesses of Albin's own mind. With a soft chuckle to himself, he responded not aloud like last time, but in his own mind. Yeah, no kidding. Se seems... unhinged. I'm not sure how I feel about this, y'know? With that, the three went on to listen what the rogue Shinigami had to say about the matter, once her laughing had calmed down.

"You know these things never end pretty. This will be no different. You are not the first they've sent after me. You certainly will not be the last. As long as I have anything to say about it. Though a Captain. I'm quite honored to be seen as such a high value target." Albin couldn't help but recoil from Celes' words. "Yikes, Celes," he said, slowing his breathing, "that sounds so impersonal. Do you not remember anything of your time within Seireitei's walls? Was all of that just for naught? You were one of the main driving forces that put me to where I am today; not just some Rogue. You're a friend, Celes. A mentor of sorts."

As his breathing reached the slow that Albin desired, he maintained it for a few short moments, his eyes closed. "I suppose it's wrong of me to ponder on the past. Seems as though it means nothing to you. Nonetheless, this isn't something I want to do. So, I won't." With a sharp inhale, Albin's reiatsu exploded over the area around him as the two blades attached to his hip combust in pale blue flame. Within seconds, both were gone, that same flame finding themselves fusing with the Shinigami's body in a pyrotechnic display. Once the fire had cleared, Albin still stood, his entire body now a pale gold, almost as though he were on fire. Bits of his clothes, skin, and hair seemed to be flared, moving about and dispersing into the air as though he were ablaze.

Opening his eyes, if Celes were capable of staring into them, his pupils no longer there. Instead, a cross-like pattern formed, though without hindering his vision any. Lowering his stance, Albin let a melancholic smile rise to his face. "Hey, Yami," he called out, "try to go easy on 'er for me, okay?" Contrary to the beacon of light, appearing as nothing but a warm cloak of reiatsu that Albin was at the moment, Celes with her newfound energy sensing skills would quickly find that something more... sinister was growing in the background. In fact, behind Albin.

As a figure rose from what looked like the ground behind Albin, this menacing aura, as if screaming to kill grew stronger and stronger. A being of pure shadow, appearing as a rather lithe girl probably around twenty took hold in reality. Both her and Albin seemed to be only half there, small dots of light stretching across their glossy, translucent appearances. With a similar laugh to that of the one Celes had let off not long ago, the girl behind Albin held her hand out to Albin. With a soft nod, Albin held his arms out to his side.

Consumed in a flash of light, Albin's entire body forced itself into a different shape, no longer appearing as the Shinigami that once stood there. Instead, a spinning fragment of solid light, moving faster than either of the two could reasonably keep up with. Reaching her hand into the middle of the golden buzzsaw, Tengoku no Yami reached out, leaving Albin to come to a halt, his new form revealed; instead of a human, he now appeared as that of a rather thick-bladed greatsword. One that Tengoku no Yami seemed to have no problem wielding with one hand.

Raising the point of the blade to face Celes, Yami called out; "Celes Shindazu, huh?" A wicked grin flashed across her face. "Pleased to finally meet you. Albin's said a lot about you over the years; I look forward to leaving your fuckin' corpse as fertilizer for these poor plants!" Gripping Albin's blade from with both hands, and similarly slowed her breathing, allowing herself to get into a rhythm. Disappearing from sight at a speed of 3432, Yami aimed to blitz Celes. Making use of what the three had learned from Senka, and applying that in combination with another stike, Yami augmented Albin's blade form to rip through the girl's soul. While Senka was something that aimed to destroy its victim's Soul Chains, Konjou Shikon was an entirely different beast of a technique.

Appearing not a foot away from Celes, and utilizing the speed they'd gained from Senka not to strike at the Soul Chains, but toward the girl's chest, Yami heaved the blade effortlessly through where the girl stood, aiming to debilitate her from the get-go. Neither of the two combatants seemed to be ready to play around; Yami was merely making that intention clear. "I'LL TEAR YOU TO FUCKIN' RIBBONS, GIRL!" She shouted.

This little meeting with Albin was certainly invoking memories that the Rogue Shinigami by no means relished. As he spoke, Celes at least listened. She was not that far gone. "That sounds so impersonal. Do you not remember anything of your time within Seireitei's walls? Was all of that just for naught? You were one of the main driving forces that put me to where I am today; not just some Rogue. You're a friend, Celes. A mentor of sorts." Maybe once upon a time, Celes would not have faulted him for the position he was placed in. Maybe she could have even conceded to answer for her crimes. Years of hardship and pain had severely damaged her psyche; produced a mind so close to the brink of insanity. Her eyes narrowed, focusing upon the Shinigami before her. 

She was waiting for any sign of an aggressive movement. She wanted to look for any excuse to rush him down. To crush his body and demolish his spirit. Decades of honor and his words softened her disposition, even if it was just for a moment. She could feel it in the air. This would quickly devolve into a fight. Yet Celes continued to watch and listen. "I suppose it's wrong of me to ponder on the past. Seems as though it means nothing to you. Nonetheless, this isn't something I want to do. So, I won't." Celes simply blinked, unsure of what he was talking about. He wasn't going to fight her? Surely his meaning was different? Right? He wouldn't just drag her out here for nothing. The next feeling confirmed it. 

A sudden burst of spiritual pressure erupted from the Shinigami as his twin blades burst into flame. Celes watched as he became enveloped in a calm golden hue. It looked as though his skin was set ablaze and Celes had to admit, it had a soothing tone to it. As his eyes slowly fluttered and opened, Celes heightened senses allowed her to see the flickering flames as she found that he lacked pupils. She was taken aback for a moment, her eyes blinked rapidly. There was no Shikai or even a Bankai release phrase and yet he almost seemed to undergo a transformation. She had to admit that she knew very little of his abilities which made him a threat. She'd have to tread cautiously. 

Suddenly a figure began to take shape behind Albin. if this even was Albin. Celes was unsure. She watched as their body morphed, the blackened form changing into that of an adolescent woman. The Rogue simply peered at her, simply intrigued by the dazzling display. Yet there was something more to it. Celes opened herself up, sensing for any presence as for a moment, a chill ran up her spine. Albin's reiatsu had a certain warmth to it, but this one...she felt cold. As cold as Celes' had become over the past few years. The Rogue Shinigami tilted her head as Albin's form also changed once more. A spinning disc that quickly zipped around her. As this woman's hand reached for Albin, grasping him, the Shinigami became something new. A large great sword that Celes immediately noted her to be holding with one hand. She kept it in the back of her mind, recognizing that she had a certain strength. If it would be as much as Celes would become clear soon. 

Soon the woman moved the blade, pointing it directly at Celes. Not particularly phased, Celes merely groaned. She receded to her mind for a moment. "Is this a Shikai? It doesn't feel right. Albin morphed into a blade. Could this be something else...?" Her thoughts were then interrupted by this spectre before her. "Celes Shindazu, huh?" She looked around, side to side and finally focused her eyes on Yami. She spoke with a sly smirk. "Well, that would be me. I don't see anyone else here..." She was clearly teasing. The next comment though made her eyes widen for a brief moment. "Pleased to finally meet you. Albin's said a lot about you over the years; I look forward to leaving your fuckin' corpse as fertilizer for these poor plants!" She sighed momentarily, not saying anything yet in response. 

Yami grabbed Aldwin rather tightly and Celes took note of her form. She was getting ready to attack. As she predicted the Shinigami or whatever this rude little miscreant that took his place was spang into action. She suddenly disappeared from sight as Celes readied herself. The familiar sound graced the air around her though she had to admit, it was quite fast. Yami would be upon her in mere seconds. She could not make out her movements as the Shinigami came to her back using Senka. Celes would not take any chances. Yami roared quiet loudly. "I'LL TEAR YOU TO FUCKIN' RIBBONS, GIRL!" Though as she said this, a sudden burst of pressurized air erupted within a meter of Celes.

A variation of Shunpo that utilized a user's natural strength to exert a short-range shockwave. Simple yet effective. If Yami found herself caught in this powerful shockwave, she would most likely find herself flying backwards at incredible speeds. If she got launched, however, just as quickly as the shockwave appeared so would Celes vanish from sight herself. Shunpo Eichi allowed Celes to move at speeds of 6000, making the Shinigami's previous attack look as though it was frozen in time by comparison. Her movement would allow her to easily keep up with the launched Shinigami as Celes would appear in a flash above her. She raised three of her fingers as her middle finger and thumb were cocked backward. In that brief moment, Celes smirked as she flicked her finger at full strength as a shockwave roared into life, aiming to push into Yami's body, forcing her body into the soil below with aggressive force.

Assuming it worked, Celes immediately dropped her weight, hitting the ground. As soon as she did, she would suddenly accelerate to a blinding speed of 900, her natural agility making her invisible to all, but the most trained eyes and even then, it would be extremely difficult to track her. Using this blazing speed, Celes goal was simple. The shockwave hopefully knocking the wind out of her for a second, Celes aimed to grab hold of her leg. If she succeeded, she would once again use her full strength and now built-up momentum to grind the Shinigami's body into the soil. It would be incredibly harsh and brutal as she would tightly flex the muscles in her arm. Suddenly her body, but most notably her arm jerked backward, switching directions as Celes wanted to avoid giving the Shinigami time to adapt. The sudden jolt of her body caused a small gasp of sharp pain due to the speed and completely reversal of her momentum, but she quickly acclimated. This time she would continue to grind her along the ground, making indents if the soil that they stood upon. 

After a moment of this cruel display, Celes would suddenly throw Yami at full strength as her head was still likely and hopefully near the ground due to Celes aiming to effectively ragdoll the poor woman. As she would throw her, Celes spoke in that brief moment. "You know, a lady like you shouldn't speak with such poor manners!" As she spoke, she would fling the woman, aiming to have her slide against the soil with devastating force, the speed of the throw hopefully shearing at her. Celes was not eager to play around with her. If her toss was successful, Celes would quickly unleash a flurry of blows. Three quick jabs that each emitted their own devastating shockwave that tore up the ground as they moved along, threatening collide with the flung Shinigami if she did not move in time. 

If Celes was at all successful in her aggressive and brutal string of attacks, she would smile for a moment. It was nice to let go. To not have to worry about the regulations as she once did in Soul Society. Yukito was right. She was soft. She had let sentimental distractions enter her life and drag her down. Her mind rang with her own words. "Well, no more!" She was determined to put the past behind her. To move on from this dreadful existence. But first she had an obstacle in her way. A troublemaker who would make her life difficult if she did not take care of him right now! To her Albin was the foil to her salvation and she was not going to let him stand in the way of that!

Technique Description and Effects:
With the Rhythm Beat stance, the user is put into a specific pattern and rhythm of blows that can only increase or decrease in speed, while remaining in an almost constant series of predictable motions. Different Tempo shakes up that pattern, allowing the user to tense their muscles and completely redirect the momentum of their body, provided that they were the origin of it. A punch might suddenly jerk to the side instead of being a straight blow mid-strike, or a strike might be withdrawn to avoid a slashing blade that would cut them even if it was mid-attack. This technique is stand-alone and can work without the use of the Rhythm Beat stance, but it is most effective when paired with it, allowing the user to shake up a predictable pattern while maintaining the momentum necessary for high-speed combat.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and redirect the momentum of one's blow, even in a completely opposite direction.

Technique Drawbacks:
The main drawback to this technique is the muscle fatigue that comes with it, varying based on the reversal of momentum. Complete reversal is obviously the most straining compared to a redirection, and the higher the speed, the higher the risk of muscle and bone damage. Repeated use of more than three times in a post even at lesser amounts of stress can also cause this damage. Requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.

As Yami finished her shouting, both her and Albin quickly found themselves suffering from the brunt of one hell of a shockwave against them. Sure, they weren't going to be quick enough to get out of the way of the blast, but thanks to their ability to process the fact that this was all happening as fast as it was, they were going to find some solace in the attack that had just been forced against them. With another flare of reiatsu, Tengoku no Hikari began to make her own appearance into the battlefield, though as nothing more than a dimly-lit specter, mimicking Yami's own movements for the time.

Through the aid of her sister, and only other Zanpakuto spirit left to manifest, Yami felt her body begin to almost jitter; her strikes were opted into a much faster state of movement. She'd need to use something like this wisely; she was only going to get an opportunity as clean as this one once. As Celes appeared above her, it seemed it was time to make her move as the girl readied a flick. It's now or never, Yami thought to herself as she followed through with her attacks.

Moving at an absolutely blinding speed of 5240, through both Ichi and Shunpo Karin thrown together in tandem, Yami hammered upward into Celes with the sharp of her Albin sword, looking to cleave into the girl's side. If she were anyone else, this was going to be the end of her movements; aim to bisect her foe. Though, Yami and Albin had a bit of something else in mind, instead. Having been rather noteworthy practitioners of the Path of the Blade, the trio found themselves executing an incredibly useful technique to get them out of harm's way; Flow Dance.

As they forced the blade into Celes' side, Yami utilized the force she'd just created to rotate her around Celes in midair, forcing her own body to jerk and take an elevated state above the girl, practically using Celes as a point of leverage to perform a midair rotation at 5240 speed with the intent to dodge the incoming strike. As the blade found itself still resting against the girl's torso, assuming that Celes flexed in order to prevent herself from being bisected by the offensive force of 1,200 that Yami boasted, something that very few were likely to expect had begun to occur; at an almost instantaneous speed, Albin manifested from the flat of the broadsword, his torso and lower still taking hold as the sword.

Pulling his fists back and letting them fly out at a speed of 724 for each strike, Albin proceeded to barrage the rogue's body with one hundred powerful punches, each one flying with a force of 1,162 Strength, each one primed to aim for the girl's head and neck. Even if his strikes weren't enough to truly harm her, he'd at least hoped to have given her a concussion at this point, while his position around Celes' body continued to rotate as Yami continued moving.

As Albin finished his last few strikes, and found himself once again fully-forming into Yami's sword, the duo launched themselves from Celes, using the flat of Albin's blade form as leverage in order to step away via Shunpo Eichi. Given that Albin and Yami were physically incapable of leaving thirty feet of each other, Albin's blade form simply followed in suit as Yami stepped away, catching the sword as she landed in the dirt.

Celes, though, after a step like that, was going to be subject to an 800 Strength shockwave at point blank; much like she'd done to them. Seeing as she was going to give no quarter, they weren't about to do so either. A situation like this was kill or be killed, and they fully planned on killing the girl. With a soft inhale and exhale from Yami, she simply assumed another defensive stance, assuming that Celes was going to make another movement against her. She was doing what she could to ready herself for what was to come; it seemed that Celes was much faster than the two, so they'd have to account for that where appropriate.

"Don't think for a fucking second that you're going to win this one," Yami shouted, "it's three against one. Face the fuckin' fact that you're outmatched and die already, dammit!" Provocation seemed to be one of the easier things to do for Yami, and by gods she was going to do so as effectively as possible; especially if the reports about the girl were right about her being somewhat temperamental.

Technique Description and Effects:

Aptly named, Ichi, also known as "Strike", is the first of the Numbers technique line. Working with their Zanpakuto Spirit, the Shinigami manifests an aura around their Zanpakuto, a ghostly, translucent aura that flickers and fades in and out. This lasts for five posts, and grants the Zanpakuto a special power for the duration of the technique. For the duration of the technique, either the striking speed doubles, or the striking strength doubles.

Additionally, while using this technique, the user is able to perceive their Spirit holding the Zanpakuto with the user, as a faded out image. No one else can perceive their Spirit, unless they have the required Energy Sensory to normally see one. Essentially, the Spirit wields the blade along with the technique user.

How to use technique: [Communicate with Spirit, work in tandem with it.]

Technique Drawbacks:

Class Four Reiatsu cost. Depending on the Spirit, the relationship they have with their wielder, and their nature, the spirit in question may not choose to lend aid to the wielder. Physical and spiritual fatigue if they do help. Damage to the users arms, due to either the increased speed or increased strength, in the form of strained or sprained muscles, as well as possible overextending. Mastery of this technique lessens the damage done, as well as overextending, due to the user knowing how much strength/speed they have and are able to handle.

The famous "partial Shunpo" technique. This allows the user to initiate a single movement at Shunpo speed with one limb. This cannot be used without initiating the forward momentum. This means once the user initiates this technique, they cannot stop their limb from the movement.

Technique Description and Effects: The Blade is not just a tool, it is a partof the body. And as one wield the blade, one of the first lessons is in balancing the body to move the blade. However, the opposite is also possible. Using this technique, the user uses the blade to move their body, rather than the other way around. By executing this technique, the user executes a slash with the flat of the blade, rather than with the blade's edge, rapidly jerking the weight distribution of the body and allowing the user to make tight, almost dime-narrow turns that normally would be impossible while moving, allowing the user to change directions without losing momentum or stumbling as one usually would when dedicating their full speed and strength to a motion.

At Proficient, the user is able to execute this technique with the blade still facing edge-first through the slash. Where previously, the Dance could only be used to move, and not to simultaniously attack, this level of mastery allows such a thing, so long as the user also has at least 2 in Weapon skill (Bladed weapons only). Additionally, this technique can be used while moving mid-air.

At Mastered, a new path opens up in the dance. With 400 instincts, reduced by 50 per point in Weapon Skill (Bladed Weapons) and their Race's Relevent Stepping skill (Hoho, Sonido, ect), the user can execute this technique mid-step, allowing them to both attack, and change the direction of their step, midway through. This reduces the speed of the step by 3x the user's current speed.

How to use technique: Performing a slash midway through a fully-commited motion to rapidly change the vector and intensity of the motion.

Technique Drawbacks While this technique does not cost reiatsu, it can be taxing at later masteries. When using the Proficient version of this technique, strain can build up over time. If this technique's proficient version is used 3 times within a 6 post period, they will lose the sensation in their sword arm. If used 3 times within 4 posts, the user will suffer tendon and muscle damage, cutting speed and strength of the arms by 25%.

At Mastered, this is even more taxing. In addition to the use limitations set by proficient, this technique used during a step will make that step count as 2 steps for the total number of steps the user can make that post. If the target uses this level without the required instincts/skills, they must pay 300 reiatsu instead, as the spiritual energy can briefly be used to supplement their reflexes to the required levels.

{Shunpo Eichi}
Technique Name: Gigei Mikon: Hyaku Shikon [Wild Arts: Hundred Fangs]

Technique Description and Effects:

This technique was developed in order to increase the user's strength in hand-to-hand combat. Using this technique sends Reiatsu pooling into the muscles and joints of his arms and hands, strengthening them and increasing their resilience. By using that same Reiatsu, he sends powerful impulses to the nerves that allows his limbs to react quickly in the form of a hundred powerful punches. Each one is fired off at twice the user's current Speed stat, causing his limbs to blur as the attacks are delivered in a sudden barrage that lasts only a few seconds. Each hit’s damage is equal to the combined total of user’s base Strength and Speed after type. This causes a massive amount of damage in a short time.

How to use technique: The user focuses their Reiatsu into the arms, strengthening the muscles and bones first to prevent excessive damage from overuse of the limbs. Following that, the same Reiatsu is channeled into the nerves and causes them to fire impulses rapidly, making his limbs move quickly in the form of a hundred lightning-fast blows.

Drawback: Moving one’s limbs beyond their natural limits causes strain and damage on the muscles and bone; though Reiatsu is first channeled to prevent the worst of the damage, each use of this technique wears down the muscles and causes them to throb heavily after only one use. Two uses within five posts causes the muscles to begin tearing, and small fractures along the bone. Three uses within five posts will completely tear several muscles while cracking the bones, and any additional uses within that initial five posts will render the user's arms useless without proper healing. This technique can only safely be used eight times within a thread without healing.

Requirements: This requires a 2 in Hakuda to perform.

[Celes Castellanos]

The shockwave erupted outward from Celes with an impressive, almost crushing force. It battered against the Shinigami for a moment before she was sent flying laving Celes to use the nigh incomprehensible speed that Shunpo Eichi granted her. She raced forth, reaching a parallel flight pattern to the Shinigami who was now rushing through the air. Preparing to bombard her with a shockwave from the tip of her finger, Celes did not expect her to truly retaliate though it seemed that she was quite mistaken. Just before she was about to unleash the shockwave, she saw, but a momentary flash of movement as a sharp pain assaulted her senses. A pain that radiated from her waist outward.

She bit her tongue, her eyes fluttering painfully as she stifled the pain in her abdomen. It seemed that the shockwave would reach nothing, but air and the ground beneath as it barreled against the ground. The Shinigami before her had disappeared, rotating along her airborne body by using her body as a leverage point. Celes' next movement was instinctual as she in that split second reasoned her shared inability to use a step technique without appropriate footing. Besides, there was the nature of Yami's personality. Celes knew the type. Prideful. Aggressive. Arrogant. She would not hesitate to keep up the pressure. With the understanding of that, Celes would not flex at all as the pain radiated around her, the blade cutting deeper into her.

Instead, Celes would simply loosen up her waist and hips. Her training in Bagua taught her that a flexible offense was equally as important as an iron defense. Her goal was simple. Using the rotation of her hips and the loosening of her body along with a brief moment of lucidity upon calming her mind, Celes struck. Extending her fist and rotating in an opposing direction of how her opponent was spinning along the axis of her body, Celes aimed for a simple move. A backhand. Reiatsu began to concentrate around her arm as she rotated, delivering a strike at a devastating speed of 9000. Compounded with the Shinigami's rotating speed, Celes reasoned that this would be incredibly difficult for even the most seasoned of combatants to effectively dodge or block. 

Celes would not stop at just that, however. Much like the Shinigami performed at the beginning of the fight before she delivered the vicious backhand, Celes would concentrate more reiatsu. While a majority of it was flowing through her arm, ready to shoot out, this other thin sheath of reiatsu surrounded her arm, most notably her hand. This thin layer of reiatsu served a single purpose. To cut into the soul of those that it struck. To make the strong weak or to subjugate the weak even further. In Celes' mind, this predator had sought her out as prey, but Celes would aim to show her soon that she was not to be taken lightly. If she did, Celes would make sure that she would regret it.

To Celes it did not matter where this hit collided with the Shinigami. Her waist. Her head. Though she preferred the head, she did not have the luxury of choices given the situation. If this hit collided with Yami, the effects would likely be devastating in Celes' mind, striking against any part of her body with 1200 Strength at an unimaginable speed. If it would, Celes hoped that it would send a shock to her system as a shockwave would also rush through the point of impact. If this would knock her off Celes' body, the Rogue Shinigami would be more than happy. If that blade as still stuck in her abdomen, she would quickly flex before pulling the blade out in an attempt to curb the bleeding. If this strategy succeeded, it was unlikely that she had to worry about Albin's assault nor the Shunpo Eichi.

Of course, if this strategy did not work, then Celes knew she would be in for a rough time. As the blade rotated around her and Albin preparing to execute his Wild Arts, Celes would do the only thing she really could. She would throw up a rather basic guard, covering the front of her face and neck. She would flex her entire body. The flex would not protect her from the ferocity of the blows, but instead was aimed at compacting her entire body. The basic guard from the front would do well to block the flurry of blows from the front and even somewhat to the side, but the strikes from the back would likely be the most vicious. She would try to endure. She had to endure the onslaught as best as she could.

Assuming that the Shunpo Eichi erupted outward from the position of the duo, Celes would feel a devastating shockwave knock her down, careening into the soil beneath. Alternatively, if the counterattack did succeed and Celes was successful in knocking the pair off, then Celes would try to land on the soil as gracefully as possible. Either way, she would continue to flex her abdomen, trying to curb the bleeding as much as she could, but it was looking like a rather nasty wound regardless. If her fist had made the connection, her arm would have been predicted from the vicious recoil of cutback due to the thin sheath that covered her arm at the time. 

If Yami still spat venom at her, Celes would listen for a moment as she tried to compose herself. "Don't think for a fucking second that you're going to win this one, t's three against one. Face the fuckin' fact that you're outmatched and die already, dammit!" Even through the pain of all she had experienced thus far, the Rogue Shinigami could not help, but chuckle. As she did, her chuckle would end with a splat of blood that fell upon her hand. She looked down at it, curling her hand into a fist. She growled, speaking in as calm a tone as she could. "One against three...I'm afraid that you've miscounted dear..." Celes grined as she pulled out her twin Zanpakutou. She began to growl for a moment, holding one in each hand. She then spoke once more, this time in a saddened tone. "Walk the Earth...Yukito!" As she did, a single tear ran down her cheek as she gritted her teeth, steeling her resolve. 

The twin Zanpakutou she wielded would begin to glow red. They would crack and crumble, turning into nothing, but dust for a moment. Mere moments after, a red haze begun to erupt from Celes' feet, rising up her entire body as she shaped her will into a more useful form. She closed her eyes as the red haze began to focus more. Soon, a red construct slowly began to emerge around Celes. It began to take shape, forming into what appeared to be a reddened bonelike structure. As it finished, Celes sighed and opened her eyes, her lens now tinted with a crimson glint. She growled for a moment, bending her will further. From each side, there would suddenly be a release of spiritual pressure as two fifteen-foot, skeletal arms appeared, one on each side as both radiated with the same familiar glow. Finally, Celes went a step further. The top of the ribcage began to twist violently as a large 5 ft skull decorated the top. The Hollow orbits suddenly glowed yellow as it finished forming.

The Rogue Shinigami was now in an avatar of her own creation. Her crimson eyes spoke of a hatred that she felt for this Shinigami. She then finally spoke once more. "It's actually three against two!" A smirk on her face, Celes would start simple as she would disappear from sight once more, the construct vanishing eerily as well. A speed of 900 helped her rush the Shinigami preparing to strike a simple yet effective movement. Her naturally heightened agility allowed her to appear at the Shinigami's side about ten or so feet away. Using the movements of her spectral arms along with her real arms, she would act as its heart. The Rogue Shinigami would strike at the Shinigami using the powerful spectral fist nearly as big as the Shinigami herself, striking at her at a speed of 1000, hoping to crash the hand into her. Not only that, but the movement of her own hand would send a devastating shockwave to batter the Shinigami.

The famous "partial Shunpo" technique. This allows the user to initiate a single movement at Shunpo speed with one limb. This cannot be used without initiating the forward momentum. This means once the user initiates this technique, they cannot stop their limb from the movement.

Technique Description and Effects:

“There is always someone stronger” is a saying that few take to heart, but from that understanding came a technique that would weaken those who are strong and bring them down to the user's level. The Soul Fang literally delves into the target’s soul, no longer just tearing at it but ripping it apart and weakening the foe. This is a slight alteration to standard Reiatsu, a thinned-out and distilled version that passes through and does not damage solid matter. However, when these fangs tear into a target, it is easy to tell; weakness and dizziness overcome a target on the first hit, and subsequent hits only make it worse.

This technique, on a successful hit, lowers the target’s stats by 10% of their original amount after Type changes. 5% is recovered every three posts, or after an extended rest. This effect also stacks with itself.

How to use technique: The user surrounds the weapon or limb that they are using to strike with Reiatsu, but then allow that Reiatsu to disperse and thin out. Then they attack physically, striking at the opponent’s body, letting the Reiatsu tear through their spirit.

Drawback: This technique can only be used twice per post, successful or not. It can also be blocked by defending against the attacking weapon or limb; though the Reiatsu that is used to bite into the enemy's spirit is insubstantial, the weapon or limb is not.

Requirements: This requires a 3 in Hakuda along with a 3 in any weapon that the user chooses to make use of with this technique.

Being forced to suffer from the full force of a backhand straight to her face, Yami quickly found herself being launched backward, and colliding heavily with the dirt beneath her. Albin similarly rocketed backward, the two tethered to each other's location in space, launching about and continuing to build small amounts of momentum with each collision with the farmland, slowly losing it in the air, and repeating the process until both eventually came to a steady halt in the ground. As Yami did what she could to stand up, she huffed, realizing that it wasn't the force of the strike that had unnerved her; it's whatever Celes had done to augment her attack.

Stricken with a slight wave of nausea, she forced herself onto her legs. Thankfully she had the durability to withstand a hit like that, given much like Celes, she was a physical fighter. Spitting out blood, Yami rubbed her fist against her jaw. "Lucky shot," she said, allowing her form to fade from existence, "you won't be so lucky from here on out though!" As she eventually sunk back into Albin's shadow, and Albin once again reformed into an actual person, he took a deep breath after rubbing his jaw.

With Soulbind deactivated, Albin placed his hands on his twin Zanpakuto, now having reformed in their entirety. Watching as Celes landed, and eventually entered her Shikai. With a soft sigh, the Shinigami watched as the girl's reiatsu boomed over the area, forming a solid red ribcage around her, and eventually even stretching out to form into two skeletal arms, followed by a spine and skull. A shiver ran down his spine as he glared into the Skull. He didn't like the look of something like that. He needed to get going; and quickly, if he stood any semblance of a chance against a brute such as Celes.

"Darken The Sky, Tengoku no Yami! Shine Like Stars, Tengoku no Hikari!"

As he finished speaking both of his release commands, Albin's Zanpakuto found themselves locking in place, preventing them from being drawn for the time being. As his spiritual pressure spread across the battlefield, coating himself as well, He stood still as his physical body underwent changes as his Zanpakuto began to almost "corrupt" the man. His Shihakkusho found itself tearing at the sleeves, his Haori being almost "deleted" from reality. His hair start to grow out exponentially, and a small hole opened itself up on his chest. In the center, a small orb akin to that of a compressed galaxy stood. If Celes looked into the orb, she'd see various stars and planets seemingly floating around in there.

His arms no longer appeared "human"; his left completely covered in an inky blackness with various flecks of light that seemed to slowly move about like stars in the night sky, and this same pattern finding itself more conservative on his right, but still present nonetheless. Even Albin's eyes took hold with this same spatial pattern in them. "Look, Celes," he spoke, a katana of starlight quickly taking hold in his right hand, "I'm not going to hold back against you any more. You fall here; today."

As Celes prepared her own blitzing speed maneuver against him, Albin found himself one step ahead. To assume that someone so physically-inclined wasn't going to close the distance was utterly ludicrous. As such, he coated his feet in pure starlight, and preemptively leapt backward and to the right, allowing this reiatsu-infused light to carry his body away from the girl's incoming strike. As the skeletal fist launched forward through the air, and Celes' own shockwave followed in suit, Albin conjured forth a pylon and prepared to retaliate almost immediately.

This pylon hovered behind where he'd found himself to be located at the time, appearing like space; very much like his own arms had. At the same time, the Shinigami kept the light beneath his feet alive and powered up, launching himself forward at the same speed he left with, Allowing Tengoku no Hikari to carry his arm, further bolstering his striking power against the girl's big skeletal puppet. Dashing passed Celes at a speed of 4110, striking equally as quickly, and delivering a blow with a physical strength of 1,600 against the girl's spectral arm.

Continuing to travel, and allowing himself about fifty feet of leeway between himself and Celes, Albin created two more pylons beside him, allowing them to take in latent reiatsu within the world around them. Gripping his blade tightly, Albin turned on a heel to face the Rogue, prepared to lash out against her on a whim if need be. "Interesting release you've got there, Celes! Can't say I've been in a fight this thrilling in quite a while! Try not to disappoint me, okay?"

{Overall Ability}
Tengoku is a set of Zanpakuto with the ability to shift its user toward a few different steps of progression, depending on the actions that the user takes. Upon releasing, Albin is required to keep track of two separate resources that will influence different steps in his progression in a fight; Essence of Stars and Essence of Space. Tengoku no Hikari will generate Essence of Stars while being used, and Tengoku no Yami will generate Essence of Space while being used. The amount of Essences generated are dependent on how both releases are being utilized, but certain actions will generate more, and certain actions will generate less. Upon entering Shikai, Albin sheathes his Zanpakuto. Should he unsheathe his weapons at all during this process, his release immediately ends.

Both Essence of Stars and Essence of Space are only able to scale to a certain amount; that amount being 100. Upon hitting 100 Essences of either variety, the opposite Essence that did not reach 100 will instead be locked from generating additional Essences, and techniques regarding that Essence are instead converted to the other (this means that upon reaching 100 Essence of Stars, Tengoku no Yami will no longer be able to generate Essence of Space, and all of Tengoku no Yami's techniques will be converted from dark-themed techniques, to light-themed techniques.

Upon unlocking Bankai, Albin will actually be unable to directly make use of it upon entering a thread. Only after obtaining 75 or more Essences of either type will Albin be able to spend the reiatsu to activate Bankai. Until 75 in at least one of these Essences is obtained, Bankai is unusable. That said, depending on which Essences reach this point when Bankai is released, Albin's Bankai will change slightly. More on that in Tengoku no Nisshoku's Overall Ability, though. Should either of these Essences reach 100, however, Albin is given the benefit of paying 25% less reiatsu in order to enter Bankai (800 normally would be 600, 400 normally would be 300, etc.).

{Tengoku no Hikari Overall Ability}
Tengoku no Hikari, or Heaven's Light, is a release that focuses around the use of Starlight-based physical abilities in order to dominate a fight, mimicking that of the stars in space. Predominantly, this is through the creation of starlight weaponry in order to get the job done. At any point he desires after Tengoku no Hikari is released, Albin can spend any amount of reiatsu in order to create melee weapons of starlight. These weapons take any form Albin desires at the time of creation, and have a durability equal to the reiatsu spent in order to create the weapon, up to 600 in Shikai, and 1,200 in Bankai. These weapons have a Strength equal to Albin's own Strength, even when being wielded telepathically. These weapons can be controlled by Albin telepathically, and move at a speed equal to his own. These weapons can only travel up to thirty feet away from him at any given time. Anything struck by these swords will be inflicted by solar burns, akin to that of touching a star, but not nearly as hot. These weapons, for all intents and purposes, are Albin's Zanpakuto. Using these weapons telepathically does not transfer over any mastery of them via Skill Points; they're treated as though they have 0 Ranks in weapon skills.

For every 100 reiatsu that Albin spends in order to either utilize Tengoku no Hikari's Overall Ability, or spends in order to cast Tengoku no Hikari's techniques, Albin generates 1 Essence of Stars. Upon reaching 100 Essence of Stars, all of Tengoku no Hikari's techniques are strengthened in ways specifically listed in each technique. Essence of Stars that are generated are tallied when they're earned.

Upon reaching 100 Essence of Space, Tengoku no Hikari's release shifts to accommodate that of Tengoku no Yami. Instead of being themed around starlight, Tengoku no Hikari is instead changed to that of space. Starlight weaponry instead becomes space-forged weaponry, and utilizes the frozen hell of space that Tengoku no Yami tends to produce. In addition to this change, both Tengoku no Hikari's Overall Ability, and Zanpakuto techniques utilize Spiritual Pressure instead of Strength. Tengoku no Hikari's weapon range is also doubled.

{Tengoku no Yami Overall Ability}
In direct contrast to Tengoku no Hikari's starlight-focused powers, Tengoku no Yami focuses instead on spatial manipulation in order to combat foes spiritually. Much like how Tengoku no Hikari grants Albin a new "basic attack", Tengoku no Yami does the same, but in a different way. Through Tengoku no Yami, Albin is able to fire off bolts of spatial energy from his hands. By holding out his hand, Albin is able to spend 50 reiatsu in order to fire off a spiritual bolt of blackened, galactic reiatsu at 500 speed. This bolt of reiatsu has a Spiritual Pressure equal to Albin's. Upon contact with anything, these bolts explode with spatial energy, hitting anything within a five foot radius of the bolt and afflicting a sort of freezer-burn to anything struck, mimicking the cold vacuum of space. These bolts travel up to 60 feet before dissipating.

For every 100 reiatsu that Albin spends in order to either utilize Tengoku no Yami's Overall Ability, or spends in order to cast Tengoku no Yami's techniques, Albin generates 1 Essence of Space. Upon reaching 100 Essence of Space, all of Tengoku no Yami's techniques are strengthened in ways specifically listed in each technique. Essence of Space that are generated are tallied at the end of the post they're earned in, as opposed to the time they're earned.

Upon reaching 100 Essence of Stars, Tengoku no Yami's release shifts to accommodate that of Tengoku no Hikari. Instead of being themed around space, Tengoku no Yami instead changes to fit that of the star-focused aesthetic. Space-imbued bolts of reiatsu instead become starlight-aligned, reiatsu-laced shockwaves, and utilize the blinding radiance that Tengoku no Hikari creates. In addition to this change, both Tengoku no Yami's Overall Ability, and Zanpakuto techniques utilize Strength instead of Spiritual Pressure. Bolts fired from Tengoku no Yami's Overall now function identical to shockwaves.

{Starlight Road}Name: Starlight Road

Cost: 50 reiatsu.

Description: Starlight Road is a step technique, that grants Albin the option to chain on an attack to it should he desire. By paying the reiatsu cost, Albin is able to coat himself in starlight, and move at 10x his speed for a singular step. By spending another 100 reiatsu on top of this, Albin is once again able to step directly after the first one, in order to move in on a certain location and deliver a melee attack at that same speed. If this variant is used, other step techniques cannot be used during that same post. Naturally this technique is physically exhausting to use in constant succession, and consecutive use in two or more posts back to back will see Albin's arm and leg muscles tearing, reducing his Strength and Speed by 10% each time this happens. In Shikai, Hakuda techniques cannot be used in conjunction with the second step. In Bankai, this is permitted.

At 100 Essence of Stars, Albin is now able to move at 12x his speed during these steps. At 100 Essence of Space, the attack that Albin makes does not need to be physical, and can instead be a spiritual attack. As such, closing the distance between himself and an opponent is not a necessity with the second step.

{Galactic Pylon}
Name: Galactic Pylon

Range: Within 100 feet of Albin.

Cost: 200 reiatsu.

Description: Upon spending the reiatsu cost, Albin creates a pylon of space-augmented reiatsu; a small eye with two lingering points both on the top and bottom. This pylon serves two different purposes; absorbing latent reiatsu in the area, and firing off bolts of space with said reiatsu. Upon using this technique, one pylon is created within 10 feet of Albin, wherever he desires, with 0 reiatsu but 200 extra durability. From there, this pylon takes in 100 reiatsu every post. As these pylons take in more reiatsu, their appearance will shift slightly, as small flecks of light appear across them, mimicking stars in an otherwise barren space. These pylons possess a durability exactly equivalent to the amount of reiatsu stored inside of them, and upon taking damage, will lose an amount of reiatsu equal to the OS of the attack made against them. Albin may physically crush these Pylons in order to absorb the reiatsu stored inside of them. Albin may not go over his maximum reiatsu in this way, and every 100 reiatsu absorbed through this method grants Albin an Essence of Space. If Albin leaves this 100-foot range, these pylons deactivate and the reiatsu they stored is lost. 5 of these Pylons can be active at any given time, and considering they're densely-packed reiatsu batteries, even those with 0 Energy Sensory can detect these.

At 100 Essence of Space, these Pylons instead absorb 150 reiatsu every post, and these pylons can spend their reiatsu in order to fire off a bolt of space reiatsu through Tengoku no Yami's Overall Ability. At 100 Essence of Stars, these pylons don't fire off bolts, but instead have the option to form as weapons per Tengoku no Hikari's Overall Ability.

[Celes Castellanos]

It had worked. Celes felt her first come crashing down upon Yami. The pure force of the hit alone had forced the Shinigami off of her. Thankfully this prevented the pair from executing their original plan. Celes could breathe calmly for moment as she crashed against the ground. Going limp, she dispersed the force along the ground as she rolled, her physical prowess keeping her from truly harming herself. She rose to her feet, rubbing some of the soil off of her. She then heard her opponent speak, getting on her nerves again. "Lucky shot," Celes watched as she rubbed her jaw and reeled for a moment, spitting out some blood. As she barked, Celes could not help, but roll her eyes. "You won't be so lucky from here on out though!"

The Rogue expelled a wave of spiritual pressure. It then began to focus, forming the avatar surrounding her that the Shinigami did not seem to like the look of. As she did, the ribcage twisted as two skeletal arms emerged and a fearsome head topped the Avatar that surrounded her. This seemed to drive Albin into a momentary state of panic as the Rogue heard him speak as well. "Darken The Sky, Tengoku no Yami! Shine Like Stars, Tengoku no Hikari!" The Shinigami's form began to change. The man who was once a shadow began to grow longer hair as his clothing changed. A hole that opened in his chest and his arm became as black as the void as the other darkened as well, but less so. 

A small orb formed in the vacancy that appeared in his chest as the Shinigami opened his eyes. The head that Celes formed before heightened her eyesight. She could see so much clearly now. As she stared at him, picking apart every visual detail that she could, she noticed what looked like galaxies in both his eyes and the orb. In truth, Celes found it very dazzling. It was a beautiful Shikai and had they not been in this situation, Celes would have commented on it. For now, she'd listen to Albin speak. "Look, Celes," Her eyes narrowed as she kept focusing on him. Suddenly a beautifully forged katana materialized in his hand, seemingly made of the purest starlight. "I'm not going to hold back against you any more. You fall here; today."

Celes nodded. If Albin paid attention, he would have been able to see the Rogue Shinigami grin. For as much darkness that claimed Celes' soul, it truly did seem that old habits die hard. She was excited. Even though their lives were on the line, Celes was truly ecstatic to see where this skirmish of theirs would lead. Of course, Celes had her own plans. In truth, she did not care how this fight of theirs would end, but they would cross that bridge when they got there. For now, Celes would push forth. Her speed of 900 made her rather difficult to see for most, but it seemed that Albin had gathered insight into her intentions. As she threatened to crash into him with a titanic skeletal arm and shockwave alike, the Shinigami suddenly disappeared. 

Another step technique, though one granted to him by his own Shikai. It allowed to him blitz to the side leaving Celes with nothing but cracked dirt and debris before her. As she looked to the side where the Shinigami had run off to, she noticed something. It looked similar to a Kido, but much more beautiful as Albin's release seemed to focus on. She focused on it for a moment, opening up her newfound sensory skills. She felt and thanks to her heightened vision, saw it quite clearly. It focused on the construct. Numerous ideas popped into her mind of what it could mean, but she'd tackle it when she got there. Though then it came, crashing against the skeletal arm that tried to strike against Albin just a few moments prior.

A devastating strike at high speeds that cracked the skeletal arm. Cracks descended down the entirety in that moment as just as quickly as it had formed, so had it vanished. She chuckled for a moment as her eyes descended upon Albin who had found himself about twenty paces away from Celes now. Then he formed two more of those pylons of his as Celes saw next to where h was now. Once again, Celes saw the coalescing of reiatsu around them. She groaned for a moment. Turning to face Albin, she heard him speak again. "Interesting release you've got there, Celes! Can't say I've been in a fight this thrilling in quite a while! Try not to disappoint me, okay?" Her eyes narrowed for a moment as she sighed. Tilting her body somewhat, the Rogue Shinigami used her own body to let out a shockwave towards the first pylon that Albin had erected in a lackadaisical manner. The shockwave roared to life, threatening collide with the pylon. If it collided, the pylon would likely shatter to pieces. 

At the same time, Celes focused her will further. Focusing it into the entire spectral avatar that surrounded her, Celes would reinforce it. The form suddenly took a more focused and clearer shape as the bones thickened. She no longer had to focus on this stage of her avatar. More than that, she focused on the remaining arm. From the ribcage, tendrils began to wrap around the remaining arm as they thickened. Suddenly the once skeletal arm had now gained musculature and even developed skin. With that, she would press forward at a leisure speed of 450. This would be far slower than her movements to date, but still formidable for someone of Captain level. As she was with 40 ft of him, she seemingly revved up her spectral arm and began to swing. It could be deduced that she would be trying to use a shockwave, but her strategy was to actually use a sudden surprise in range advantage. She would swing in an arc, appearing as though if she kept swinging, she'd hit nothing though this was a feint. As she reached with thirty feet of Albi and the pylons, something interesting would happen. The weaponless arm would suddenly gain a hilt. The hilt glowed as a red flickering sword roared to life almost akin to a flame. Albin would find that she had more than enough range to hit it as it materialized mid-swing. The arc would aim to crash into another of the pylons, then into Albin and then finally into the last pylon. Or at least this would be the obvious choice. She'd aim to crash into the first pylon regardless, but her next movement would depend on Albin.

If the Shinigami tried to intercept the 25 ft long broadsword, he'd find that if he blocked it, he could actually resist. The swing had an overall striking force of 800, equal to the Shinigami's native strength. Even if he somehow powered through blade, this was also fine. It would not stop Celes' plan except for maybe ruining some of the element of surprise. Even going after the arm with a single strike could be precarious as the flesh that now surrounded the arm hardened it even further. Either way, Celes would execute a devastating strike. What made it devious was that she could control the avatar independent of her own movements, effectively allowing her to accomplish several tasks at once, making it difficult to predict what the true danger was. Celes would race outward at a sudden speed of 2100 at a moment's notice, totally incomprehensible to the Shinigami's senses, even more so if he was distracted by the massive blade. The resulting high-speed strike would concentrate all of Celes' momentum and physical capability into one concentrated point as she looked to utterly barrel into Shinigami before her. This ability, known as Final Crescendo, would aim to crash again Albin with an overwhelming force. The Rogue Shinigami had aimed to not only crack his bones but send him flying. In that moment, avatar that surrounded her would not follow. Instead it would remain for a moment, its previous sword swiping motion used as a ploy to distract Albin.

Technique Description and Effects:
Everything must come to an end, and so to does this apply to the forward momentum of a continuous series of strikes that is the Rhythm Beat technique line. However, the finale is where the most effort is needed for a successful combination, and this applies here. The user doubles their current speed and strength to strike at a foe with a single blow, hitting them with an amazing amount of force. However, the real power behind this technique is not the initial hit; rather, the momentum built up by the user's speed and increased strength is transferred through the blow, generating enormous impact force that sends a foe flying even if it does not break through defenses.

While this is a standalone technique, it flourishes at the end of a successful Rhythm Beat combination. Normally no other stat boosts will stack with this technique, but Rhythm Beat's speed boost through continuous momentum does apply before the doubling bonus. Naturally, the 3x cap on speed still applies. This technique counts as a short-term status boost.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and release a single powerful blow. More effective if momentum is already built up to make for an even faster blow.

Technique Drawbacks
The doubling of speed without the use of Reiatsu, simply overexerting the muscles, is extremely straining on the limb used for the strike. The limb's muscles will tear and the bone will weaken, making that limb more susceptible to attacks and reducing its speed by half. Additionally, a second use with the same limb will only grant a 50% speed boost for the technique, and will tear the muscles completely as well as shatter the bone, making that limb useless until healing is given. Requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.

{Ascendant Spirit - Rank I}
Technique Name: Ascendant Spirit

Technique Description: Ascendant Spirit acts as a way for Celes to permanently upgrade her Astral Self. By spending varying amounts of Strength of Spirit, Celes can permanently grant herself the superior stages of the Astral Self. Once a stage has been unlocked permanently, Celes does not need to spend Strength of Spirit to maintain enhancements of that stage anymore. These permanent enhancements, if destroyed, allow Celes to spend Strength of Spirit equivalent to 1.5x their upkeep cost, rounded down, to restore the enhancement. When restored, the enhancement returns to the current unlocked stage of Ascendant Spirit. If the Astral Self were to regress to a previous stage, Celes can spend Strength of Spirit equal to the most recently unlocked Stage to immediately upgrade back to it. For example, if Astral Self reverts to Skeletal, she can spend # Strength of Spirit to enhance the Astral Self to Humanoid once more. In Bankai, the Astral Self can be restored to the Complete stage. Upgrading Ascendant Spirit lasts until the end of a regular thread such as a PVP/JT. In longer threads such as adventures, Ascendant Spirit resets on a "long rest". The requirements for upgrading or restoring Stages are:

Skeletal: 5
Humanoid: 9
Armored: 13
Complete: 20

Technique Drawbacks: Ascendant Spirit is a powerful way for Celes to retain certain benefits, but it does have several weaknesses. For another rank of Ascendant Spirit to be purchased, Celes must have at least maintained the next stage of enhancements at some point. For example, if Celes is currently using the Skeletal Astral Form, she must first purchase and maintain Humanoid Arms and Head to upgrade to rank II (Humanoid) of Ascendant Spirit. While each enhancement can be maintained individually, all enhancements must have been maintained at the next stage at least once. Additionally, after upgrading Ascendant Spirit, the technique goes on cooldown for two posts before being able to upgrade again. If an enhancement is destroyed, Celes must wait 1 post before being able to restore that enhancement. Celes may not activate Bankai until Rank III of Ascendant Spirit has been purchased.
