Bored, bored bored bored bored. Food wasn't doing the trick, Akando has been asleep since their last hunt, and it wasn't like Arcadus was making any progress on the projects he was working on. The techniques had barely manifested themselves and his newest attempts to forge a weapon hadn't really worked out. It keep turning to iron dust every time he tried to get the runes right. In either case, maybe a walk would soothe his mind, since kicking sand in the desert had lost its luster.
Hollows had scattered well before he could see them, though he could sense them even through the walls. He wasn't bothering to hide his aura or his reiatsu as he strolled through he winding halls and tunnels. Arcadus could always garganta back to his palace, so he wasn't particularly expecting to go anywhere. He just wanted to walk and walk and think. Despite the samey nature of the corridors, the sense of movement and changing bricks and stone gave him the illusion of movement even if he wasn't going anywhere fast.
Didn't help he was being tied down with dozens of new threads, things were happening fast, Cami was nowhere to be seen, powerful devils had taken an interest in him, Hell was moving to make a serious power play in the grand scheme of the three worlds. Didn't help that his hunts with Akando had been bringing out that thing, the hollow in his mind. It bugged him how much he couldn't really do anything about it. Stopping for a moment, he thought. Technically, that wasn't true. If he could have someone who could read minds, like he could, there was potentially something to be done, but he didn't know how much he liked that prospect of someone mucking around in his brain.
Standing at a cross roads, before moving past, Arcadus shuddered about the last time he was left alone with his thoughts at a cross roads. He hoped something could be done about this, if anything at all. As well, he'd heard through the grape vine that a new leader of Exquias had arisen, so that was likely another knife in his back if things got rough and he had to make bad decisions. Groaning as he stepped out of the cross roads, Arcadus flicked on one of the lights in the tunnel.
