I am making this in hopes it will become a base for others to make variants of, this way we can give Arrancar both more options and a close melee combat Tech/Tech's to choose from!!
Technique Name: Huelga
Class: 4
Technique Type: Arrancar Technique
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): Arrancar
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): This style of fighting was created by an unknown Arrancar that couldn't survive fighting battles at a distance, not having good control over their reiatsu he instead created a way of fighting that allowed him to instead take the fight up close and personal.
Surging reiatsu through the muscles of a limb it almost solidifies the skin making it harder than diamond. Unlike Hierro which creates pseudo armor of iron that's purpose is to defend, allowing the user flexibility of movement, prioritizing defense over offense. Huelga on the other hand hardens the muscle and skin on the chosen limb, thanks to this being directed at a specific area of the limb it actually becomes harder than a Hierro thus reaching a level of hardness similar to diamond. This allows the user to strike without the fear of breaking their limb and hit with a deadly strike.
Unlike a normal strike, while using Huelga the strike seems to pierce easier if striking with the point of a limb or crush easier if using the flat side of the limb. The most important use of this Technique, however, is it's ability to bypass the Cutback Effect. While striking with Huelga the user may use either their RS or Strength in order to determine the OS of the strike, allowing the user to strike through other reiatsu based Techniques or Shockwaves regardless of what OS they use. When striking through an opposing reiatsu Technique or shockwave the user will find that limb they used to be unscathed as long as their OS meets or surpasses the opposing OS. Thanks to the way Huelga works it allows even an RS specialist to fight in melee combat with less fear than they otherwise might have, this is thanks to it preventing potential shockwaves created from an opponent striking the same limb being affected by Huelga, keeping them from traveling through the limb and into the body of the user.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): send a small surge of reiatsu into a limb causing it to harden before striking with it.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc): Must be used to strike, if the user attempts to use Huelga like a Hierro without using it to strike they will find it to be of no help as Huelga requires the striking motion in order to activate it's true hardness. Due to how stiff the limb becomes it's nearly impossible to strike multiple times in a post, requiring the user to become proficient with it to use it twice in a post and mastered to use it three times in a post. This stiffness also makes it harder to land a hit as the limb moves at half the users speed, they also will find it impossible to boost their striking speed through any other means. Users of HSR will find that if something does manage to damage the limb or portion of a limb affected by Huelga, the wounds don't seem to heal until two posts have past. The user will also find it impossible to use both Huelga and Hierro at the same time, Hierro must be deactivated to use Huelga. The cost of Huelga is 100 reiatsu even though it is class 4 but only last for the duration of an attack.
