Quest Synopsis:
The story of a journey with a fool who seeks knowldege best left alone and a stranger from a faraway land only hoping to return. Though the means by which the stranger, Seiji, has arrived is uncertain one thing is clear. They are not in the Soul Society nor any nearby world. Instead Seiji wakes up to find themself in the remains of a shack built into a wall far above a blight infested swamp. Thankfully however they are not left to their own devices in this strange place. At their side is a middle aged man, Laurentius, who despite his naivety about the current situation is determined to help Seiji return. As well as fill in the blanks about the world around them and the various dangers it holds.
The only issue however is that Laurentius is on a personal mission to seek a land of old. Izalith. A land from which many things stem from. Demons, pyromancy, knowledge on life itself, etc. With nowhere else to turn and no one else sentient enough to help him leave, Seiji joins Laurentius on this seemingly impossible quest. With both of their powers combined surely they'll find more clues to Izalith's location and ultimately perhaps find the reason for why Seiji was even brought here in the first place. And most importantly the knowledge both parties seek! From swamp and ruins, to tunnels deep in the earth, and an ancient civilization anything goes in this story. The real question is can our two up and coming characters make it to the end? Or will they be go out in a blaze of glory?

4. Stop the flames of corruption - Hard
BASIC Synopsis of each Quest mission:
1. Pretty self explanatory. At the beginning Seiji and Laruentius are in a shack atop of decrepit collection of sticks, wood, and other shacks built into the side of a massive wall. It's not exactly a safe place to be. And it's a falling hazard. Find a way down to "relative" safety.
2. With solid earth beneath the two's feet they now have other problems to deal with. Mainly in the form of the swamp that seems to be as venemous to it's inhabitants as it is to the travelling pair. A means of moving past this needs to be found. Namely the nest of Quelaag and sadly she isn't fond of visitors. Killing her is the only means of moving on.
3. With Quelaag out of the way and now the world around being both solid and not poisonous the two could finally have it easy right? Just kidding this is Dark Souls. Where once there was a swamp is now a pool of lava. With a fortress visible in the distance however the path forward is clear. But the source of the lava needs to be stopped. Figure that out and getting to the fortress will be "easy".
4. Arriving at the fortress hasn't been easy. Enemies abound, lava around, but wait there's more! Now that the two have made it to the fortress they need to make it through the fortress and get past it's formidale leader. One of the few demons that remain from the height of Izalith's power this won't be an easy matter. But easy hasn't been the status quo until now so this will be the same shit on a different day.
5. Kill the demon. Go through to the other side . . . only to see there's more lava. And this time it's not going anywhere. Laurentius may be able to handle flames but straight up lava, as mentioned prior, is a no. Same goes for Seiji. The two will have to find some means of getting across the lava, preferably without being melted in the process.
6. With the means discovered the two finally make the last trek to the goal of this entire journey. Izalith. Sadly though the lava was only the first issue to overcome. As the two approach the citadel it's easy to see why no one can make it. There's a small army of chimeras that can only be demons spawned from gods know where. And they are guarding the makeshift path to Izalith. Getting past this won't be a walk through the park but at least it's straightforward.
7. Finally arrived there's only one thing to do. Dungeon crawl. The information the two seek is here. Just hidden away. Find the information and the path to ending this crazy adventure will be made plain.
8. With the means at hand to return there's just one thing keeping Seiji from returning to the Soul Society. And that's the very thing that brought Seiji here in the first place. Once they're out of the picture the two can part ways. Each with the knowledge they sought for and with the strength from the various trails and hardships before hand completed. Leaving is by far the easiest speedbump to overcome.
Side Missions:
1. Knowledge is power. And power comes in the form of Pyromancy for Laruentius. The more tomes found the stronger Laurentius becomes and the more abilities that are at his disposal. Not strictly necessary but it will aid Seiji and Laurentius both.
2. Though finding the "Fair Lady" is easy. Being able to speak with her let alone determine who she is will be a struggle. A couple of the infected humanoids however might have clues or hints at how to achieve this. With someone more knowledgeable about the current realm than even Laurentius this could prove useful.
3. Demons, infected humanoids, plagues, and envirormental hazards number only a few of the things these two will have to deal with. What hasn't been mentioned are champions of old that despite their corrupted minds and possibly corrupt appearance still seek to keep Izalith safe from invaders. There are 3 in total. Each with a particular specialty and each willing to kill anything, including demons, that tries to harm Izalith. Killing all 3 isn't strictly necessary however they do hold items that will aid Seiji and Laurentius.
4. Think of this as the secret achievement. If you get it awesome. If not doesn't matter. Let's just say there's a reason that Izalith is sealed away. And it's not just because it houses demons and a being that creates more as time goes on. Reward is post thread for Seiji if this is accomplished.
Recommended Class for entry:
Class 8
Additional Rules / Info:
1. Step Techniques are limited to once a post regardless of class. In addition Step techniques only travel 5 feet maximum.
2. Seiji can spend Souls (QP) to increase his class level and/or purchase non-release techniques BUT this can only be done at a check point.
3. Seiji can be "updated" but only after completing a mission objective. The side missions are applicable to this. Updating specifically means changes in rank, changes in total training SP earned, techniques purchased/refunded outside the quest, and type changes can be applied to Jeff.
4. Seiji has 5 additional lives. Thus only Seiji's sixth death is permenant. And on that note if Seiji does die his soul is condemned to this universe. His fate to be determined by the powers that be. This applies to Laurentius.
5. Upon completing a mission, death, or killing special enemies, Seiji regains all reiatsu, release posts, stamina and physical health. Status effects that are detrimental cease. Techniques/abilities with cooldowns are reset. Same goes for Laurentius.
6. There will be an item shop with items theme'd by the vendor from the game as well as Dark Souls 1 items. These can be purchased by spending Soul (QP). Brief Descriptions will be given upon talking with the vendor. In addition to the vendor certain items will be hidden away througout the level. Descriptions for these items will be given upon aquiring them.
7. When the thread is started, determined by Seiji's initial response post, there is a deadline of 2 weeks maximum between posts. Exceptions apply for special circumstances.
8. Air ground doesn't exist naturally. Techniques that create objects in the air are usable however.
