The confident canine Hollow would had visibly run out of patience with Teresa. It was obvious that, in his attempts to threaten the antlered one, he had believed that he would have been able to force her to stand down and retreat, abandoning Sonadora to his whim in the process. Such a tactic has perhaps worked in the past, maybe even more times than once; after all, he had a large frame that most likely stands tall over many Hollows of his and Teresa's level, and his mask was admittedly quite intimidating. The fact that he didn't even bother to clean up the blood and the pieces of flesh that still hanged from its teeth was a testament to that. However, the victories his body has granted him have made him grossly overconfident. What he was standing in front of was not just some random Hollow that he happened to find in the middle of a building turned into a test site. This was a creature that, like him, was about to become a Gillian, and like him, she too possessed an ability beyond his current comprehension.
Though he attempted to strike the antlered one as fast as possible in coordination with the shadow that he produced, the monster would not have the time to reach his enemy's throat. Instead, he would find the beastly urge to immediately move out of the way as he felt as though something was coming towards his stomach. Confused, yet resolute in following this urge, the canine would smash his right foot against the floor in an attempt to dodge whatever was coming towards him. This decision caused his body to smash through a nearby wall and land in the next room on his six limbs. For a moment, he felt nothing, though soon, pain exploded across his stomach, prompting him to look down and observe the damage that he had received. Apparently, the skin of his underbelly had been pictured, though he had moved quickly enough so as to not be pierced through. Despite this, there was now a slashing wound on his stomach, something akin to the kiss of a Shinigami's blade.
His gleaming red eyes would look up through the hole his body had created within the wall then to see what had caused the damage. Fortunately for him, his glare did not take long to identify the cause of his wound. Somehow, a part of the wooden floor had risen from underneath his previous position into the shape of an elongated spear. It still stood now with a tip left stained with his corrupted Hollow blood. At first, its sight caused him to growl lowly with such anger that it caused his body to shake. He was not used to receive any damage at all, especially not from the creatures he intimidated. Even so, another one of his revolting laughs came from his mask. "So, this is your power, huh?" He would call with a grunt as he pushed himself off the floor to stand on in his legs once again. He would let his arms be limp at first, pointing towards the ground, before he would suddenly hold them up as though he was ready to slash Teresa with their claws. "What a coincidence!"
The beast then quickly rushed through the room he was currently in, briefly disappearing from sight. However, the one thing of which he owned that did not do so was his shadow. Indeed, the spiritual construct had held onto the antlered one for the entire time his owner had been separated from it. It was growling viciously, illogically, almost maniacally as it attempted to tear at the flesh it was holding with its fangs and claws, though it was unable to do so forever, for it was then injected a portion of Teresa's spiritual energy. Upon the completion of this process, the clone would shriek and tremble violently, almost as if it was quite literally battling its own self. The noise it made during this process was nothing short of disturbing as it gurgled and screeched. About five or so seconds later, though, it would instantly stop, then turn its head towards a nearby door before rushing towards it. Even with its slower speed, it was still all done impressively quickly.
It crashed through the door, sending bits of flying into the adjacent room, and for a moment, it almost seemed as though it was doing something noteworthy. However, shortly after, the upper half of the shadow's body was then launched back to the corridor in which Teresa was located. It was cleaved in two imperfectly, savagely, as though it was ripped apart and then thrown away. As though left in stupor, the shadowy object would let out one final moan that would seal the life it had just been granted, and then would slowly start to melt into the floor, returned to what it once was. Its death would completely cleanse its presence from this world, leaving Teresa alone in a corridor that was becoming progressively quieter. Aside from the noise that most likely came from Sonadora's activities upstairs, it almost appeared as though the entirety of the building had gone silent. Has the beast left the building? Has it gone outside to reach for Sonadora from the windows?
But then, something was heard around Teresa. Or rather, multiple noises were heard. There was tapping, rattling, a shifting of sorts. It was as if the beast was moving around her, but somehow out of sight. "I bet a million yen that you are just like me," a voice would then suddenly be heard from what appeared to be the very shadows around her position, "someone who injects reiatsu into things to make them obey you. Is that right?" Another one of the creature's seemingly signature laughs was then heard, this time behind her. Should she turn around, she would then witness another shadow had formed. It was less detailed somehow, more fluid as though it was only but partly made tangible, yet unlike the other one that had been spawned by the beast, it was not violent, or at least not overtly so. Instead of attacking her, it merely stood there with two dots for eyes and a nasty grin that appeared almost as if it had been drawn. "We'd make a good team... Too bad I prefer to work alone."
The shadow would then stand there showing its disgusting grin without so much as uttering a single word. It did not move, did not speak, nothing, forcing the entire room to return to silence again. Then, the wall next to Teresa would suddenly burst open, revealing the huge frame of the Hollow as it would dash towards in a mad murderous rush. Its laughter followed him as it attempted to cut the antlered one with the claws of its four arms. Normally, this rush would be quite standard; however, at times, a shadowy arm would suddenly expel itself from his body to deliberately strike Teresa in confusing ways. Meanwhile, he would attempt to remain near the stairs. Though he appeared to want to cut her to pieces, just like he mentioned earlier, it was very clear that he wanted to move upstairs and actually accomplish what he had come here to do.
