Two explosions of reiatsu that sent out a shockwave throughout the first Rukongai district leveling hundreds of the buildings that made up the homes and businesses of the pluses. What had been seen as the nicest of the Rukongai districts with a good standard of living compared to so much else, was now nothing more than a broken down war zone. This was no longer fit to house anyone as everything had been brought down. Although the main force of the Shinigami were still standing or rather able to keep going the threat wasn’t gone. It seemed like even more issues were emerging with the level of reiatsu that had been given off in the attack so far.
Although it wasn’t an entirely safe distance away at the gate of the Seireitei the small group of pluses along with the Captain of the Eighth felt the impact of the explosions with all of the civilians knocked off their feet. From the safety of the converged citizenry a crooked smile emerges at the sight of a massive ancient looking Hollow. This wasn’t something that had been planned, it was something that couldn’t have been expected and yet it was only going to serve to help him accomplish his goal. It was as if fate itself was smiling upon him. His goal was justified and fate would help him see it through.
Senshi wasted no time in making it clear to the Hollow that right now wasn’t a good time and she’d be dealing with him if he didn’t leave. As for what was happening in the other spots only a bit of distance away well, Celes managed to get back on her feet despite being the closest to the epicenter of the explosions. She fought through what had just happened much the same as Tsukuyomi. The only difference was that Captain seemed mostly fine and made her way over to check on Kimiko.
Kimiko was handling the situation well and could very well take the head of the Brute without any aid, but Celes rushed in to make sure that Kimiko wasn’t harmed. The two of them working together would overwhelm the Brute and by the time both of them were finished virtually no part of the green monster would be left with, but a single exception. Celes had sent shockwaves throughout the body causing massive damage and now that blood littered the surrounding area like an exploded paint can. Both women would find that they were covered in a good portion of blood that was immediately acting like glue. They’d have to figure a way to get rid of it or free themselves in a different manner if they wanted to be any help against this Hollow.
As for Tsukuyomi, well he was free now but the most damaged out of all the Shinigami by far. His broken right arm wouldn’t cause him any pain for the moment due to shock, but that wouldn’t last long and when it came through he would feel the pain as a single thrust over the edge. He wasn’t far from Celes and Kimiko, a fact all three would realize as they were within eyesight over the debris field of the Rukongai. One thing was puzzling though? What happened to the Brute that he’d been fighting? Where was it now and why couldn’t he see it when they could see everything that wasn’t buried.
Back near Senshi the gate of Seireitei would suddenly begin to rise up, giving entrance to the civilians that were still alive, while allowing reinforcements to converge on the battlefield. It’d only last for a couple of seconds before the Shinigami on the inside saw the Hollow, realizing they couldn’t risk the gate being opened they’d let go allowing it to close once again. At least that’s what they all had hoped and planned. Instead the moment the gate began to open all the civilians were gone. Touched physically by the smiling man, then all thirty seven!
Brutes rush the gate grabbing hold to keep it from falling, rushing inwards, snatching, breaking, throwing, biting tree Shinigami right at the gate. The smiling man was inside Seireitei, the Brutes were inside with a group much larger than what this group had already brought down. They had the Hollow on the outside, this danger was now on the inside. Some were hurt, others tired, how were they going to stop this from spreading when they hadn’t so far!
Brutes: 37!
