Thread Title: Separate Ways Participants: Camilla and Arcadus World: Hueco Mundo Death Setting: Permanent Injuries Enabled Rating: R Location: The sands of Hueco Mundo, far outside Los Noches. Special Conditions: Circumstances: This fight is an agreed upon match to determine Cami's worth as a potential Espada. If she presents a challenge or even a threat in this fight, Arcadus will recommend her for the Cuatra position. This is less a fight to the death, and its expected that the opponents yielding is genuine. The Espada are free to spectate.
Walking out of the Gargantua, two figures, one tall and broad and one short and thin, stepped out onto the unending sands of Hueco Mundo. The sands had practically formed a bowl around the two, sand dunes reaching towards the endless sky. Both figures parted, standing opposite each other. The larger one seemed far more relaxed, turning with is pale robe and golden hair to look up at the sky, then down to his smaller companion.
"I don't want you holding back here. You wanted to prove your worth and your potential as an Espada. You may have Kouhai's blessing, which I respect immensely. Even if you lose this fight, that recognition, that blessing, will take you far, even into the Espada by itself. But what your doing here is proving to me, and to the others, that you have what it takes, that Kouhai isn't misguided in his judgements. I want everything you have."

The Arrancar flashed with golden flame as robes burned at his chest, revealing a red gem and golden ornamentation, and his white robes had been wreathed in flames. The Espada leveled his hand, his sword and hand slick with his blood, as the signiture of the Espada grew and its blue light, wreated in yellow flames flooded the sands. Firing at the shinigami, The blue beam crackled and roared with a horrific mix of lightning and fire as it zigged and zagged towards Cami.
{Gran Rey Cero} Technique Name: [Gran Rey Cero (Grand King's Zero)]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: Lightning
Technique Description and Effects:
An Espada-exclusive Cero of such great might that its use is forbidden while under the dome of Las Noches. It requires the user's blood to be used as a sacrifice to activate, but when activated is charged at about the same speed as a regular Cero. It is always blue in color, and appears to have the shape of a razor with several prongs. When fired, it zig zags at the enemy instead of firing in a straight line. While charging speed is the same as Cero, firing speed is three times that of Cero, and the actual destruction potential is twice the user's reiatsu strength.
Furthermore, the explosive power is so high that not even several Cero put together can rival it. This technique also releases a large mass of lightning and electricity not only upon firing, but on impact as well. The ferocity of the Gran Rey Cero is nearly unrivaled.
How to use technique:
Fire like a regular Cero, but only after also getting blood on the firing hand from its user. This is usable only by Espada. The secret to its use and why only Espada can use it are both unknown at this present time.
Technique Drawbacks
400 reiatsu cost and blood sacrifice. Can only be fired once per post, up to four times a day.
"You want to be an Espada, then show you can overcome our hurdles our techniques, and that you are worthy of knowing them. PROVE TO ME THAT YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES"
Emerging from a Garganta with the much taller Arrancar, Camila did what she could to slow her breathing; to immediately get herself into a combative mindset. She was going to need to if she was to face off against someone as potent as the Tercera Espada; there was no doubt in her mind that he was absolutely going to be the strongest opponent she'd fought thus far. It was going to take a lot if she wanted a chance to square off against him as well as she'd hoped she would. After their little meeting with the rest of the Espada, Camila's mind had been set on a rather interesting path; one that'd result in her abandonment of her desire to return to Soul Society, if things played out perfectly.
Though, that was a situation for another time. For now, she'd need to focus on the combat at hand. As she took her footing not too far from Arcadus - maybe ten feet away at maximum - she took the time to hear him out. "I don't want you holding back here." Those words alone cemented her first decision in the fight. Once he said those, a sort of sadistic smile rose to her face. Though, she didn't say anything, and simply let him speak. "You wanted to prove your worth and your potential as an Espada.
As he finished speaking, and likely took the time to speak his release phrase, she did the exact same, without acknowledging anything he had previously said. "Drain them of their essence and consume it all, Gouge de Sang." As she finished, the sword she'd held onto simply melted down into a pool of blood, ever quickly sinking into the sand as she watched the Arrancar cut open his hand and hold it out in front of him. Immediately, she'd known she had to go on the defensive against this man if she wanted any chance of surviving against what he'd had to offer. She'd need to prep her defenses if she wanted to be able to hold her own, and that's exactly what she did.
As the massive and incredibly quick hollow technique was fired at her, she threw up her own defenses as a suit of armor manifested around her at an almost comparable speed to what the Cero was firing at. The moment it had made contact, an explosion of reiatsu, electricity, and fire was emitted from her own point, threatening to easily devastate anything that was around the two of them, were they not in the deserts of Hueco Mundo at the time. A blast like that could've easily leveled a city, let alone just a girl standing in front of the Espada. Though, as the smoke cleared, Camila stood quite a few feet back, having been pushed from the blast, with her arms up.
Breathing heavily, Camila slowly lowered her arms and as she huffed, a fair bit of the blast having been absorbed by armor. She'd been given a small boon of vitality thanks to her parasitic defenses, and it had helped her to withstand the rather massive impact from the blast itself. Still, while certainly not looking phenomenal, she was still absolutely ready to fight. "You want to be an Espada," Arcadus spoke, his voice growing ever more intimidating, "then show you can overcome our hurdles our techniques, and that you are worthy of knowing them. PROVE TO ME THAT YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES." Her plan was to do exactly that.
Holding her arm out to her side, Camila willed a rather thick-bladed broadsword into existence in order to complete the sort of "Blood Knight" aesthetic she had started, and began to pump her reiatsu through her arms. Allowing her arm to drop and the blade to hit the ground beneath her feet, sand kicked up as though the weapon had been tremendously heavy; as though it was completely real. "Trust me, Arcadus," she spoke, her voice trying to match his in volume while also echoing due to the armor that had been covering her body, "I don't intend to hold back. I will prove to you, Serraph, Ailene, Lagos, and all of the fucking others that I belong here. I hope you're ready for one hell of a fight."
As she finished speaking, she took one step forward, and rocketed herself toward the Arrancar at a speed of 4,000 through the use of Shunpo. Once she was there, she immediately went into a swing of her massive blade, throwing it toward the Arrancar's midriff like it had been nothing. The speed of the strike was just barely beyond what she'd normally been able to achieve, sitting at a speed of 450, thanks to her start in establishing a beat for herself; a precursor of what was to come. If her attack had landed, she was fully prepared to begin to start siphoning out not only his reiatsu, but the very substance that held any being together; his own blood.
{Reiatsu Pool & Blood Counters}Reiatsu: 4,425/9,000 -800 for Bankai. -300 for Conversion of Reiatsu Strength into Spiritual Pressure. +400 for Bloodied Fortress regeneration. -150 for Bloodweapons creation. -675 for Combat Cutback activation. -50 for Shunpo.
Blood Counters: 6 +20 for releasing with 100% Reiatsu. -20 for Bloodied Fortress. +2 for Passive Generation via Overall Ability. +2 for tentative gain on landing a strike via Overall Ability, subtracted if the attack does not land. +1 for tentative gain on landing a strike via Bloodweapons, subtracted if the attack does not land.
{Overall Ability}Upon releasing, Camila’s blade begins to lust for blood. With every time it is “sated”, the bloodlust then grows stronger, and empowers her. Every open wound that Camila leaves on her target strengthens her release techniques, and allows her to use certain release techniques, as described in each technique. The boost to these techniques is marked by “Blood Counters”. For every slash left on the target able to draw blood, she gains a Blood Counter. These counters are spent after using her techniques, if she should desire to do so. Some of her techniques require no reiatsu, but do cost blood counters to use. Upon entering Shikai, Camila will start in this release with a certain amount of Blood Counters corresponding to how much Reiatsu she has remaining. For every 10% of her Reiatsu pool she has left unspent, Camila will gain 1 Blood Counter during the initial release. For example, if she had 1000 maximum Reiatsu while Sealed, if she spends nothing before releasing, Camila will enter Shikai with 10 Blood Counters at her disposal. If she only has 590 out of the original 1000 maximum Reiatsu, Camila will enter Shikai with only 5 Blood Counters, because, rounded down, 590 is equal to 50% of her remaining Reiatsu pool. The Blood Counters gained through releasing her Shikai are once per thread, unless a significant rest period is taken. If she were to be forced out of Shikai, or the duration of Shikai were to end naturally, she does not gain any additional Blood Counters, and instead starts with what she had remaining when Shikai ended. At the end of every post, Camila passively gains one Blood Counter.
Upon entering her Bankai, her ability to gain Blood Counters is further increased. Similarly to her Shikai, upon entering Bankai, Camila gains Blood Counters corresponding to her remaining Reiatsu pool, compared to her maximum pool. Though, this effect gets stronger upon entering Bankai. Instead of being based off of every 10% of her remaining Reiatsu, it is instead based off of every 5% of her remaining Reiatsu. 1000/1000 will give her 20 additional Counters, and 590/1000 will give her 10 additional Counters due to rounding down. This is still percentage based, and still rounded down all the time. Though, a few changes to this mechanic are made.
For Camila to enter Bankai with 20 Blood Counters, she needs to have a full 10 Blood Counters in Shikai, as well as at least 50% of her remaining Reiatsu pool available. She can still only gain a maximum of 10 Blood Counters upon entering her Bankai. Similar to Shikai, the extra Blood Counters gained from entering Bankai are once per post, unless a significant rest period is taken. Each wound left on the target now grants 2 Blood Counters, instead of one. Additionally, she can now gain Blood Counters through herself, granted she leaves a wound on herself, and sacrifices 150 Reiatsu. From this, she can gain 1 blood counter.
She can only gain a maximum of 5 Blood Counters per post through this way. Open wounds left by the opponent do count as wounds she can use for Blood Counters on herself. Once a wound is used for a Blood Counter, it cannot be reused, meaning she needs to open another wound to create another Blood Counter. At the end of every post, Camila passively gains two Blood Counters.
{Bloodied Fortress}This technique doesn’t quite work like the name implies. Instead of creating a fortress, she essentially becomes her own fortress. Camila sacrifices any amount of Blood Counters, and 1000 Reiatsu if that amount is less than 10 Blood Counters. For the duration, any attack against her, whether physical or reiatsu based, drains the reiatsu of either the attack or user of the attack. If she’s hit with a physical attack, she’ll drain 30 reiatsu from that person per Blood Counter spent originally. Every point in Bleeding Tolerance that someone has will reduce this amount of reiatsu per Blood Counter by 10, negating it completely at a 3 in Bleeding Tolerance, and also being negated if someone possess a Strength superior to Camila's Spiritual Pressure. If she’s hit with a reiatsu-based attack, she’ll drain 100 reiatsu from the attack per Blood Counter spent; this does not drain from the person that had made the attack, but the technique itself. This can only drain reiatsu up to the original cost of the technique.
This technique works similarly to Hierro, though it uses her Spiritual Pressure instead of her Reiatsu Strength, and the “wearing down” effect that Hierro has is also reduced significantly (Instead of 8 posts reducing the armor to 80%, it’s now 2 posts. Instead of 12 posts reducing the armor to 60%, it’s 4 posts. Instead of 16 posts destroying the armor, it’s 6 posts. The amount of attacks required to wear down the armor is now halved, reducing these numbers to a minimum of 1 attack). The duration of Bloodied Fortress lasts for 1 post per 2 Blood Counters used to activate the technique. If Bloodied Fortress is active, it can be activated again, extending the duration by 1 post per 4 Blood Counters spent towards it, and restoring the Hierro-like effect of the armor to the original duration if 5 or more Blood Counters are spent while the effect is active. This technique can be used on allies by adding an additional two Blood Counters as a cost. This technique has an extremely hefty cost, no matter how you go about it. As soon as the duration of Bloodied Fortress ends, the technique is put onto a 10 post cooldown. It essentially punishes the user for purposefully not maintaining the effect to spend less Blood Counters for a longer duration. While in Bankai, this armor's duration is 1 post per Blood Counter spent on activation, and the duration is increased by one post for every two blood counters spent on the technique after activating it instead.
{Bloodweapons}For 150 reiatsu, Camila takes the time to shape her reiatsu into whatever melee or ranged weapon she'd like for the time. This weapon takes on a deep red appearance, much like that of blood, and has a durability equal to her Spiritual Pressure. These weapons use Camila's Spiritual Pressure in order to deal damage. At any point, Camila can change the form of this weapon for 100 reiatsu. While she has this weapon created, any attack Camila makes with this weapon is able to generate an additional Blood Counter. Ranged attacks with these weapons travel at a speed equal to her Spiritual Pressure, but cost 100 reiatsu each and every time they're made. When these weapons come in contact with either a living being or someone's release weapon, Camila is able to spend any amount of reiatsu in order to gain an equivalent number of Blood Counters, with each Blood Counter costing 200 reiatsu. In Bankai, this cost is reduced to 100 reiatsu per Counter, and the durability of these weapons are increased to double her Spiritual Pressure.
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): Anyone with 300+ SpPr
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Affects: Persons with high spiritual pressure are known for their large reiatsu pools, but they also tend to be known for their weaker reiatsu strength, which means they have a ton of reiatsu, but not that much to actually use it on. This techniques entire purpose is to take that sheer volume of reiatsu and turn it into a viable, dangerous weapon.
The user builds up a pool of reiatsu internally, increasing the internal pressure, before channeling it towards a set of limbs, such as the hands or feet, discharging it as a weapon. By doing this the user can harness their reiatsu into physical striking power, allowing them to match a physically stronger opponent blow for blow, or possibly even beat them. Upon initial use the user pays 75 reiatsu per 100 strength, maxing out at their spiritual pressure, but afterwards the per post upkeep drops to 25 per 100. The amount of force generated can be changed once per post, going down merely drops the upkeep, but going up, the user must pay the initial upkeep as well as an additional 75 reiatsu for every 100 strength they add to the technique.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): Building up internal reiatsu before focusing it on a set of limbs such as hand hands or feet (or other applicable appendage like a tail). Before mastery of this technique only a single limb, such as one hand or foot, may be selected at a given moment, after master is obtained both may be used at once.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc): Besides a fairly large initial cost and a moderate per post upkeep this technique only has one major drawback; reiatsu burns. When using this technique the user is forcing a large amount of reiatsu to be funneled through a relatively small area, so extended use can be dangerous. 1st degree burns begin to form after about 3 posts, 2nd degree after 5, 3rd after 7, and finally after 9 posts the chosen limb becomes borderline useless and the technique can no longer be used in that area. Healing, specifically of the burns, will reset the timer of this technique.
Technique Description and Effects: A stance-type technique, this one requires the user to slip into a state of automatic combat. Automatic combat is a mental state in which the user continues at the exact same pacing of their previous blows, creating a rhythmic pattern that allows them to fight without focusing on it. During this, the user becomes accustomed to their own movements, flowing into the same speed and rhythm of attacks until it's no longer required to think about it. That's when this technique truly begins to shine; upon that point, the user can speed up or slow down that rhythm suddenly, creating a pattern of attacks that suddenly alters in speed. Slowing in speed takes no effort, merely the conscious decision to hold back a blow, but speeding up is another story.
When speeding up, the user must do so gradually; as they become accustomed to their movements at a set pace beyond their normal limit, they can slowly push themselves further and further. With each post of consecutive rhythmic attacks, the user can adapt and push their muscles so that they move an additional 50 speed faster with their consistent attacks. This can be continued up until the maximum of the 3x limit on speed boosts. However, if speed is dropped at all, it caps at the speed dropped to or the user's maximum speed, whichever is higher, and can only regain 50 speed per post. Example, if the user has 300 Speed, after one post they can have 350, and after two their attacks come at 400 speed. However, if they drop down to 300 for a slowed move to surprise a foe, they cannot just go back up to 400 speed, and instead have to work up at 50 per post again. If they dropped down to 200, however, they could immediately make the next blow 300, as that is their natural cap.
How to use technique: Begin striking in a consistent, consecutive rhythm of blows, adapting to it over time and adjusting speed as able.
Technique Drawbacks: Stamina. Aside from that, the biggest drawback to this technique is its predictability; the user does have to build up a rhythm of strikes, and because they are fighting almost off-handedly, even if they have control over how they strike, there is a pattern in the motions that can be countered by an analytical foe. Note that this counts as a long-term buff if used for more than two posts (i.e. after the first post of increased speed); otherwise, it is counted as a short-term buff. Requires at least a 1 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.
Fight Theme "Trust me, Arcadus," she spoke, her voice trying to match his in volume while also echoing due to the armor that had been covering her body, "I don't intend to hold back. I will prove to you, Serraph, Ailene, Lagos, and all of the fucking others that I belong here. I hope you're ready for one hell of a fight."
The red blade swung towards him, faster and with greater skill than he could hope to match, and even more concerning, cutting through his heirro. But one defense remained to him. His very body. Flexing his muscles, his strength and might came to bear, the blade only slicing through skin , digging no deeper than a scratch. It seemed like she didn't possess something to by pass his heirro, and her striking power could be countered by his strength along. So far, nothing to worry about, unless the shinigami's words were more incantation than prayer. She out matched his speed but her strength couldn't bring him down alone. She surely had more tricks, but it was worth probing a potential weakness.
The nature of the blade, how it formed out of her own flesh and blood, worried him. Such techniques had a habit of some other effect than simply manifesting a blade, and it was likely best to heal each wound, no matter the size, as quickly as possible. However, until he knew what it would do, it wasn't worth spending his limited reiatsu pool on such things until his flames had taken thier natural form of a wildfire. After this exchange he would have to create some distance, but it was worth telling if he could simply break her stance and guard, or if her strength lent itself to more than just her strikes.

The sword hanging limply in his left hand becomes a flash of silver as it spins, rising to meet his right over his head before falling like a meteor, the shockwave churning the glassed sands. He knew he couldn't directly challenge her bladework, but her reiatsu indicated that here strength was in her arms, and was a technique of some kind. He wondered if her legs would be able to take the strike, and the rest of her the shockwave.

"THATS WHAT I WANT TO SEE, GIVE IT ALL YOU'VE GOT. THIS IS GOING TO GET FUN" His stern face had widened into a grin, shining teeth and the joy of battle shining out of the Arrancar's face. Blades met, Arcadus practically hunched over Cami, shaving brought the blade practically down to his midsection. His muscles strained, threatening to rip out of his robe entirely, forcing down on the fortress below him. Leering over the pair's blades, Arcadus's smile grew still as his eyes glowed with red light, a familiar hum gathering in the dull roar of falling sand and glass.
In either case, it wouldn't be right of him to hold back, charging a cero in either eye would do the trick, left firing after right to try and catch her in this blade lock, or at the least follow her slipping away. His flames would grow in either case, and her dodging seemed unlikely, given how she met a Gran Rey of all things head on. The paired beams sped out from his eyes, gold flames licking out and searing the glass around them. His flames melting and burning from his previous move, had begun to grow, covering the ground around them. Clothes whipped in the wind and his hair practically held back by the force, forming a golden mane for a brief second.

She had speed and strength to match his, and likely spells and techniques given her origin and rank in the soul society. He would need to be certain of his victory, but humiliatingly her wouldn't do. He needed her to be convinced of her potential. A tricky thing to assert his dominance as the ranking Espada, but as well to prove to her the strength she held was worth fighting to maintain and to keep to herself. Best to keep on the offensive, her fortress like armor likely favored defense, and playing to her strength would likely embolden her.

As her blade clashed against his ironlike skin, Camila forced it to liquefy as she continued with her swing after being met with resistance; she wasn't about to break her arms against someone that could pull shit like that against her. The first strike certainly wasn't worth it. From her little exchange, and after reforming her blade, she'd quickly realized she'd be dealing with a spiritual fighter. That much was good to know, at least. Both physically durable thanks to that Hierro, on top the fact that his spiritual prowess was strong in general was something that seemed to raise an alarm for her. She'd need to see what she could do in order to make this just a bit easier, else she was going to suffer. Big-time. If she could break through that Hierro, then she could start to do the damage that she needed in order to make this fight easier.
As her arms continued with their swipe, Camila quickly made note of the fact that she was going to have to deal with an overhead strike coming toward her, due to the fact that she'd been able to process the fact that Arcadus had been moving both of his hands above his head in order to launch his attack. Keeping tempo with the strike she'd made not too long ago, Camila moved both of her arms in two different patterns; firstly, she let go of her blade with right and swiped into the air above her head at a 500 speed, in order to form a simple shield of blood in the air above her; one that was intentionally going to crumble. From there, and through the use of Shunpo Karin as to try to prevent the Espada from being able to react to it, Camila swung into Arcadus with most of the blunt side of her blade at a speed of 5,000.
Though, while she was certainly going for the blunt force strike behind the flat side of her broadsword, she'd willed quite an interesting little trick into existence; both flat ends of her broadsword, upon being reformed, were coated in a plentiful amount of half-inch spikes, aimed to dig straight into his Hierro as he was hopefully sent quite a distance away from her from that little strike of hers. Though, after that, she faced a rather interesting problem; she'd still have to deal with the impending shockwave that was likely now crashing straight in her direction. Though, that's what the shield was for; to lessen that impact as much as she could. As the blast of kinetic energy ruptured through her shield and threatened its way down into the air after she'd shifted her stance from that strike, Camila winced and groaned as the kinetic blast blew through her left hip from above.
As she took the time to force herself up, Camila threw herself into a defensive posture as she acknowledged Arcadus' shouts. "Glad to hear shit's getting amusing for ya, Tercera!" As she finished speaking, she took note of the flexed reiatsu coming from the man's eyes. She'd known immediately what was going to come of that, though she had little time to aptly prepare against the blasts. Setting up another shield in front of her to absorb what it could of the blast, Camila tanked through the lasers that quickly washed over the shield, keeping the shield strong through the first blast, and only absorbing part of the second, allowing her armor to do the rest of the work for whatever the shield didn't cover from either of them.
When the smoke cleared, and with searing burns across her body with tiny drops of blood poking through here and there, Camila dropped whatever remained of the shield and smirked through her armor. "Tch," she scoffed, "that was a cheap shot. Nice attempt, though!" For what it was worth, bits of her armor were missing, showing through with her burns that were already beginning to slowly heal thanks to her natural ability to heal, not even necessarily due to her release. Though, for what it was worth, she still proceeded to coat her entire body in reiatsu, and close the wounds that were left from the blast. She was by no means ready to yield; not yet, at least. She was going to take him down with her if she was going down at all.
Standing back up, with both her hip and her burns healed, Camila let out a deep breath. She needed a plan of action. She needed some kind of plan to blow through that defense of his. Thankfully, she'd managed to come up with a plan somewhat quickly. Grabbing hold of her broadsword with both hands, Camila pulled it back, and swung her arms out in front of her, toward the Arrancar, swinging her blade into the air in front of her. Though, instead of simply doing nothing, Camila forced her blade to not only liquefy, but return to a solid state as soon as all of the droplets were separated, coating the air in front of her and now approaching Arcadus at a speed of 900 as hundreds of crystallized pellets of blood threatened to pelt him and tear through his Hierro.
{Reiatsu Pool & Blood Counters}Reiatsu: 3,000/9,000 -225 for Combat Cutback Upkeep. -150 for Bloodweapons creation. -100 for Bloodweapons shape change. -150 for Bloodweapons creation. +400 for Bloodied Fortress regeneration. -900 for Overall Ability converting wounds into Blood Counters. -200 for Hypermetabolism. -100 for Bloodweapons ranged attack.
Blood Counters: 0 +2 for Passive Generation. +4 for miscellaneous burn wounds via Overall Ability. -11 for Hypermetabolism.
{Hypermetabolism}By taking three seconds to activate this technique, Camila can spend 200 Reiatsu in order to sacrifice any amount of Blood Counters. An effect is activated based on the amount Sacrificed. This technique can be used on allies by adding an additional two Blood Counters as a cost, increasing by an additional two counters as the strength of the effect increases.
1-5 Blood Counters: Camila feels refreshed, giving her a small stamina boost. This is enough of a stamina boost to bypass the stamina drain for this technique. This also closes miniscule wounds, and fixes any small bruising. Wounds that are larger than an inch in length are not fixed.
6-10 Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits from sacrificing 1-5 Blood Counters. On top of that, larger wounds are healed, and all bruising is fixed. Wounds that are larger than 5 inches in length are not healed.
11-15 Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits of sacrificing 1-10 Blood Counters. On top of that, she's able to repair a fair amount of potentially lethal wounds. All cuts and bruises are healed, and Camila can restore small parts of her limbs (She can restore a lost hand or foot, but not the entire arm or leg).
16-19 Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits of sacrificing 1-15 Blood Counters. On top of that, she can restore damage to entire limbs, though only one limb can be healed per use at a time. She also gains 2 points in Poison Resist, but loses them after 1 post. These points are treated as though she had them since the beginning of the encounter, in terms of resisting poison-based effects.
20+ Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits of sacrificing 1-19 Blood Counters. On top of that, she can restore organ damage. This is limited to organs that will not almost immediately kill her if damaged. If her heart or brain were to take severe hits, these cannot be restored. Though, intestines, lungs, etc. can be restored no problem.
This technique is used to heal wounds. It is not meant to restore stamina. It only helps to prevent limbs from being useless through breaks, or to prevent blood loss. Camila will still tire normally. This technique requires at least 1 Blood Counter to activate, and cannot be activated with any less than 1 Blood Counter. Camila must remain stationary during the three seconds this technique requires to activate. If she is hit out of this channeling effect, all Reiatsu and Blood counters spent for activation will not be refunded. While in Bankai, this technique has no reiatsu cost, and instead only costs Blood Counters.
Flying back into the crystalized crater, that cut had scratched up his heirro good. He could probably take 3 or 4 hits, more before it broke, then it was down to dodging someone much faster than him and tanking hits he couldn't anticipate. Not good. But he did see the sheild crack and her armor begin to peel. She seemed on the back foot. He needed to start playing to his own strengths. She was definetely worthy of a seat, but the question now was where. That he would have to determine for himself.
The shinigami''s words had reached him. He was happy she was getting excited too. This was good, he needed to know how far she would go, and how far she'd push him. It didn't matter if she lost or won. His loss would only mean she could never return. A shinigami had the Trecera at her mercy and left them? They'd be branded a traitor. Snickering as he stood, the smirk faded quickly as he saw the hail of blood crystals flying towards him. Make that 1 more hit. Bracing, he flexed his front in a boxer's peak-a-boo stance, guard up to protect his eyes and to force his hierro to protect him. They rattled against him like a sandblaster, wearing against his iron skin and steel body.
Flex 1000, Heirro hits taken: 5
As the hail ceased, he decided to stop playing this game. It was time to show her what he had trained for and mastered. The technique and style that had let him trounce the Cuatra. Cero's flared from his feet, and rocketting into the night sky, leaving behind a flaming pit, Arcadus hung in the air for a second, before taking aim, Firing 3 cero in sequence, open palm curved around the pulsing red orb like one would caress the head of a lover. There was a tenderness to the movements, serene even, as the triplet Cero's flew at the Shinigami. More to pressure her, he had no doubt she could dodge them, but that wasn't a problem if she did. He needed his flames to grow, and staying 5 stories up should prove enough distance to let her dodge them if she was running low, block them if she felt she had the strength.
A Cero expelled from the user's feet to propel them through the air. By controlling the power of the blast, the technique can vary. A powerful blast can cause the user to rocket upwards, but damages the ground they were standing on. By doing this repeatedly, the user can zigzag through the air. A weaker blast will merely cause the user to "hop", but if done repeatedly, the user can literally bounce on thin air, allowing them to cross gaps by bunny-hopping across them. And if the user is sent flying, they can merely hop down to the ground safely in the same way one would walk down stairs.
How to use technique:
Stated above.

The blasts should melt the glass around her even more, if she stayed still there was even a potential for the resting flames to burn her, their syrupy form eating through the sand had the potential to engulf even the entire crater. Arcadus hoped this could go on long enough for that.
As Arcadus rocketed into the air, Camila braced herself. She knew something was coming from his being up there, but she was far from certain about just what going to happen. Not wanting to be blindsided by much of anything, Camila assumed a defensive posture. She'd be ready to defend against anything he'd throw at her. She was holding strong so far, and she wasn't going to jeopardize that if she couldn't help it. She prided herself on her defensive capabilities, and damn it, she was going to make the most of that to hold her own! Repairing the damage done to her shield, Camila held valiantly, staring down the Espada with one eye now showing through her damaged armor.
As Arcadus prepared to fire off three Cero one after another, Camila scoffed to herself. He was growing predictable; using the same techniques over and over. It seemed that Cero were his favorite techniques to use; something she was going to make sure she could take advantage of. As the blasts came her way, Camila braced for impact like she would've normally, but something unexpected had begun to occur. Something insidious began to rear its ugly head; something that could've easily costed her the fight if she hadn't been prepared for it. An outrageous amount of pain quickly consumed her as her head began to pound violently; a premonition of the hell she was about to endure.
"Seems you've gotten yourself in quite the predicament, isn't that right, Camila? Well, don't you worry that pretty little head of yours; It's my turn now. So long as I'm here, I promise you that we're not going to fall. You know why? Because you need me."
As the Cero collided with her body and wracked her physical form with extreme heats and spiritual energy, Camila was sent backward a few feet as she slammed her blade into the ground that had been quickly turned to glass. As the ground shattered and as her sliding was broken, she remained in that position until the smoke cleared. Fires raged around her, a clear sign of the raw power behind Arcadus. Any normal person would've likely been incinerated entirely from something like that. For better or worse, though, Camila was still standing. Her armor had been restored to top condition, save for her helm. She slowly forced herself to stand, and broke out into a cacophonous, ear-bleedingly loud laughter.
"Interesting!" she shouted, her voice seemingly overlaid with that of a man's, "Seems the Tercera Espada is quite the powerhouse! You've certainly given little ol' Cami a run for her money thus far, haven't you? And dear FUCKING lord, the fight's only just begun!" Directing her view back toward Arcadus, if he had been able to see her from that far away, he'd quickly pick up on the fact that a bonelike fixture had grown to form over her left eye; something that looked like a small part of a masquerade mask. Her sclera had gone entirely black, and her iris had gone golden; the trademark look of someone taken over by a hollow. Her reiatsu boomed through the air, threatening to overwhelm anyone that could pick up on it. Though, in contrast to her original reiatsu, her signature was now purely hollow.
"Luckily for her, though..." she said, before forcing a set of wings to manifest from her back. From there, she vanished via Shunpo. When she was back in sight of the Espada, she'd be directly in front of him, not two feet away from the man. As fast as she could, and at a speed of 8,000 thanks to Shunpo Karin, Camila swung her blade toward Arcadus' abdomen with as much force behind it as she could muster. A blow like that was very likely to leave a nasty amount of damage on the Arrancar if he wasn't able to do anything about it; potentially fatal, even. It was a test from Albin to see just how Arcadus placed up against him. "...Camila isn't exactly here right now!"

Resting in the air, blasts echoed as Cami took the triplet blasts. He had been hoping for some kind of last ditch effort or gambit. Oh well. I n either case, it was time to wrap this up. "Interesting!" she shouted, her voice seemingly overlaid with that of a man's, "Seems the Tercera Espada is quite the powerhouse! You've certainly given little ol' Cami a run for her money thus far, haven't you? And dear FUCKING lord, the fight's only just begun!" He couldn't see quite what was happening, her voice had changed, layered. and something was happening with her face. On a spiritual level however, he could tell something was causing her to grow vastly in power.
"Luckily for her, though..." she said, before forcing a set of wings to manifest from her back. Reflexivly flexing his Rieatsu strength for what was to come, and seeing the wings manifesting, there was a very good change he was going to be hit with something he couldn't tank. "...Camila isn't exactly here right now!" The excitement he had felt quickly evaporated, however, as he felt the blood blade slide through his midsection. His attempts to dodge mid air had prefented him from being bisected. he could feel the blade tear into his guts and muscle, leaving in a red spray.
Options. Flight, maybe. Net? Likely. Cooking them? Yes. Melee is off limits and so is trying to out pace them. Distract, bind, and Flee. They could likely break the net. This couldn't last forever, its likely they would burn out or he would be able to sonido to somewhere he could garganta is they didn't. But first, he needed to make distance and to do that, he needed to distract them, or cloud thier senses.
In the dark of Hueco mundo, the perpetual night was met with a flash of day, stark white light melding with gold to form a yellow glow that coated the sands. Blinding White Cero, sister to the classic Oscura, flashed out over the glassed crater. Arcadus, unaffected by his own techniques, flicked out his next move as Cami's eyes were forced shut or left with naught but white light, obscuring the movements of her opponent. Second, Arcadus called on his pain and doubt, feeling the reiatsu snake up his open hand and out his fingers, net forming in black flame and snaring around Cami. Whipping the captured Vizard out over the sands with the tether, releasing to send them flying, Arcadus made his flight, stepping with sonido towards the sands, zig zagging with the use of Luna Cero and disappearing behind a dune, flames flowing in his wake at 3900 Speed.
Damage assesment: Guts almost spilling out. Likely going to pass out when release ends. Cami is influenced by something far more blood thirsty that was making her faaaar stronger. Right now he needed to keep moving and to try and figure out his options. Cooking her wings was an option, but it definitely wasn't happening currently. He needed distance and time to let his flames grow. He could heal this, but he needed more time and potential reiatsu.
{Blinding White Cero} Technique Name: [Cero Deslumbrante (Blinding White Cero)]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
This technique is usable only by Arrancar in their released form. It has the same speed, firing power, explosive potential, and charge time as a Cero Oscuras. The techniques are nearly identical, but this one is considered superior because it first blinds the opponent with a bright flash, and then as it approaches it strips away all darkness from their surroundings, instantly illuminating everything on its way.
How to use technique:
Fire like a regular Cero.

As her strike against the Arrancar had been successful, Camila allowed an evil grin to rise to her face as she harvested Arcadus' vitality with her own strike. She was already in a good place for the time, and was going to do what she could in order to keep the pressure up on the Espada. She wasn't going to relent against him under any circumstances if she could help it. Pulling her arms above her head, Camila prepared for an overhead strike against the man when something she hadn't exactly been able to account for occurred; a cero of pure white reiatsu was fired from the Espada, and quickly managed to force her to reel due to the lack of vision she was now experiencing.
Thankfully her armor was sturdy enough to absorb a good portion of the impact from the Cero, and even allowed her to absorb most of the reiatsu used to fire off the laser itself, but unfortunately for her, her vision was going to be out for the time being. "FUCKING HELL!" she shouted, turning her head away and covering her face with her arms as the light faded, quickly finding herself wrapped up in some sort of net of fire that Arcadus had made. Smirking to herself as she found herself forced to deal with the exceptional heat, she was glad to have found out just what this Arrancar's powers seemed to be; the man had dealt with fire! That much was explained from the wanton disregard to the fires that had been started from cero of all techniques, and the net she now found herself in.
As Arcadus seemed to slam the net about and throw her away from him, Camila let out another cacophonous laughter as she put up with the abuse. As she soared through the air, the Vizard began to flap her wings with as much force behind them as she could, stalling her travel after a few short moments, all the while feeding off of the reiatsu that Arcadus had used to create the net. Now that she was in a good place, and her reserves stocked up just that little extra bit, she was ready to finally take the time to do what she could in order to end this. Slashing through the net with her broadsword, Camila flew at her full speed back to where Arcadus had thrown her, and began to look around after getting quite a bit of height.
Seeing the man hide behind a dune, Camila tucked her wings close into her body, and began to divebomb the Tercera at her top speed. She kept her eyes locked on the man, and prepared for any shift in movement he might've tried for. She'd be ready to chase after him; he wasn't getting out of her sights if she could help it. The very moment she was upon him, and after she'd collided with the sands feet-first, Camila immediately went into a swing, once again assisted through Shunpo Karin, at a speed of 8,000. In order to secure this strike, she'd made use of a Hakuda technique designed to reverse momentum entirely, in order to keep up the speed and force of the strike, at the cost of absolutely obliterating the bones in her wrist, and heavily damaging those through her left arm. She'd need to guarantee this hit.
If all went well, and her last-ditch attempt to strike the man had been successful, Camila was prepared to drain anything and everything the man had in Reiatsu from his reserves. Forcing her own blood through the blood of her sword, if her strike connected with him, she'd force her own liquid vitality to enter through the wounds she'd leave on him, and absolutely drain him dry. Whether or not she'd succeeded, Camila threw her broadsword with the final strike to the ground, and held a stance that showed she was very much worn down. Her breath grew ragged, and the fragment of a mask that had been forming on her face was beginning to crack. Whether or not her strike succeeded, she was out of the fight.
{Reiatsu Pool & Blood Counters}Reiatsu Pool: 0/9,000 +550 for Bloodied Fortress Regeneration. -100 for Shunpo Karin. +1125 for Vampiric Touch. -3,325 for end of Hollow Takeover.
Blood Counters: 0 +2 for Passive Generation. +2 for Strike via Overall Ability. +1 for Bloodweapons bonus. -15 for Vampiric Touch.
{Vampiric Touch}Through a physical touch, Camila has the ability to siphon the life force from the opponent. Upon touching an opponent with an open hand, Camila can spend a number of Blood Counters to siphon Reiatsu from the target. This Reiatsu siphon is based on the number of Blood Counters spent. For every 1 Blood Counter spent, Camila can siphon 75 Reiatsu from the touched opponent. For every Blood Counter spent, she regains a small amount of stamina, inversely equal to the amount of stamina spent for the amount of Reiatsu she siphons (i.e. if she siphons 600 Reiatsu, she'll gain stamina inversely equal to spending 600 Reiatsu.).
Inversely, Camila can spend a selected amount of Reiatsu in order to drain the target, and gain Blood Counters in return. This drain is inversely equal to the gained amount of Reiatsu in the first part of the ability. 600 Reiatsu spent will grant Camila 4 Blood Counters in return. If this effect is used, she will still suffer from stamina drain for spending Reiatsu. This technique can only be activated through physical touch, making it rather hard to activate to begin with. This could lead to some possibly dangerous situations. While in Bankai, Vampiric Touch can also be activated when Camila lands a strike through her Bloodweapons.
Technique Description and Effects: With the Rhythm Beat stance, the user is put into a specific pattern and rhythm of blows that can only increase or decrease in speed, while remaining in an almost constant series of predictable motions. Different Tempo shakes up that pattern, allowing the user to tense their muscles and completely redirect the momentum of their body, provided that they were the origin of it. A punch might suddenly jerk to the side instead of being a straight blow mid-strike, or a strike might be withdrawn to avoid a slashing blade that would cut them even if it was mid-attack. This technique is stand-alone and can work without the use of the Rhythm Beat stance, but it is most effective when paired with it, allowing the user to shake up a predictable pattern while maintaining the momentum necessary for high-speed combat.
How to use technique: Tense the muscles and redirect the momentum of one's blow, even in a completely opposite direction.
Technique Drawbacks: The main drawback to this technique is the muscle fatigue that comes with it, varying based on the reversal of momentum. Complete reversal is obviously the most straining compared to a redirection, and the higher the speed, the higher the risk of muscle and bone damage. Repeated use of more than three times in a post even at lesser amounts of stress can also cause this damage. Requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.
Standing behind the dune, Arcadus heard her. She was coming, he didn't need options, he needed a plan. She could hit him if he used Ambition's Blaze, but it still made him intangible. Her arms weren't durable enough to make shockwaves. Putting something solid between the blade and himself was his best option. Holding his wound, he mustered up his rieatsu and felt the flame of his ambition and passion overtake his physical form, Bursting out of the red gem on his chest and enveloping and filling him. This was his last defense. Diving through the melting sand like water, Arcadus didn't see Cami's movements, but he knew something was coming.
The flaming humanoid figure dived into the dune, a trail of glass and half melted silica in his wake. That would be his best bet, that she didn't have the strength to over turn an entire desert with her strikes. It worked. Her sword Collided with the glass, shattering it, but the spiritual power of it was dumped into the desert, not into him. He had evaded that seemingly final attack, despite her speed. Despite the ruse and clever decision, the swing had upturned most of his defense. Had he not seen the state of the shinigami, he would have be done for. No other options were available to him besides his two trump cards, but Gran Impact or... the other, could have killed Cami. He was willing to risk his life on keeping her alive, she was too valuable.
Looking at the faint creature floating down to the ground, and the crater where she had thrown her sword, Arcadus, becoming solid again, prepared to meet whatever last attempt Cami had, but seeing her completely drained, mask cracking and crumbling, he knew it was over. He staggered over to where Cami came to rest, and stood, looking at his opponent, his equal. He was about to collapse himself, but he had one last thing to do.
Across the smoking battle field of the white sands, the flames that had been eating pits in the dunes winked out. Arcadus calling back his spent rieatsu, Restoring his wound, (Extinguish, 12 stacks consumed to gain 600 rieatsu and 12 stacks and 600 rieatsu spent to heal his split abdomen.) The flesh sizzled and smoked as his skin and muscles knit themselves back together, steaming and smoking until they were healed, the faintest line across his abs showing.
"Camilla, you have proved yourself worthy. You nearly bested me, and you clearly have lots of potential to grow and change into a more powerful person. I want to see that, and want to help you grow into the most powerful version of yourself. I hope you consider your place at our table open, and that you'll join us."
lowering to his knees, Arcadus looked out at the black sky and wondered if now as the time to try and press her. She had given it her all, he shouldn't diminish her... What was the word he was looking for. He knew the idea, just not the words assigned to it. It wasn't beyond him, it was being held. Extorted by them. Fine, it was worth it now. Valor, Bravery, Spunk, they offered up their words for it. He hated this game, where they would strain and pull and net some word or phrase and he'd have to ask them, acknowledge they were there. It was fine, their wards weren't changed and didn't have marks, and they didn't have anything over him. He would stay in control.
"You have what some others in the Espada lack. Valor. Conviction. You want to prove yourself to not only others, but to yourself. Its nothing personal against them. You simply possess the will, the courage, to risk yourself and your prospects for a better tomorrow.

The final strike, the one she'd hoped would connect, simply missed its mark. To say she was disappointed was a horrendous understatement. Though, credit where credit was due; she was beaten. She ruled she simply didn't play her cards right. She could've done more, but in the end, she'd pushed herself far too hard, and ran the risk of Albin taking complete control. For everything she'd been fighting for; for even a shred of acknowledgement from someone, she'd quickly ruled that it simply wasn't worth it. Allowing the mask to crumble away as her eye reverted to its normal colors, the girl tossed her blade to the ground as her wing dissipated, and Arcadus emerged from the sands.
As his wounds healed up, he spoke up. "Camila, you have proved yourself worthy. You nearly bested me, and you clearly have lots of potential to grow and change into a more powerful person. I want to see that, and want to help you grow into the most powerful version of yourself. I hope you consider your place at our table open, and that you'll join us." At last. At long last, she'd seen someone's hand, outstretched toward her. Even in her weakened state, and her strength quickly fading, she couldn't help but smile as she did what she could just to simply keep upright for the time being. Lord only knew how long she was going to remain conscious for.
As Arcadus lowered himself to be more on par with her own height, he seemed to continue. "You have what some others in the Espada lack. Valor. Conviction. You want to prove yourself to not only others, but to yourself. Its nothing personal against them. You simply possess the will, the courage, to risk yourself and your prospects for a better tomorrow." A tear welled up, and promptly streamed down her cheek as she heard his words. Praise like that was... not exactly something she'd been familiar with. It felt good to be acknowledged for once, for someone to have taken note of just how hard she'd pushed herself thus far. Smiling, she slowly pulled her arm back, and pushed it forward toward the Espada like she was going for a punch.
Though, as her hand - as she hadn't even been able to clench her fist - made contact with Arcadus, he'd easily be able to note that there was no force behind the strike at all. It seemed to be her final final attempt to make a hit against him, but even that seemed to fail. Closing her eyes, all the while maintaining the smile on her face, Camila simply let the darkness of the world around her overtake her vision as she fell to the sands, and promptly blacked out.
Two figures in the sand and glass, both exhausted, one unconsious, sat under the eternal night. The larger one rose, gingerly carrying the other. The maw of teeth and darkness opened in front of them, and they strode into it. There was peace as the sands cooled, and the winds blew again. The portal closed, and the pair walked into the mansion. Luxury itself, gilded and polished, furnished plush and glittering crystal. Carrying the exhausted girl up to a guest room, white and gold, there was a peace and joy in Arcadus's heart. He was happy someone so strong in heart and mind, not just body, had joined the Espada. He hoped she could be a symbol for what was possible, not just for the soul society, but everyone.
Leaving to collapse in a bed of his own, he wondered if any of the staff would have a meal prepared, preferably something suitable for the both of them. He didn't need to break out the bloodwine or leg roasts for this, but gods he was hungry. That fight was... fun. Scary at times. But fun. He hoped they could do it again sometime. Falling into lush sheets, the arrancar shut out like a light, the warm arms of sleep taking him with no chance of reprieve or seconds of restlessness.
