Squad 11, sister squad to squad 10 and mild annoyance to Miranda Frost during her time as acting captain for her squad. She groaned at the memory of it all. Scheduling all the training and tasking while making sure all the work was properly distributed out. To keep discipline, one had to keep the soldiery busy and distracted. This didn't mean denying them leave and free time. Hard workers should be rewarded with hard playtime. A member of Squad 10 wasn't glamorous. Being the main defense squad during a time in which the soul society is not being attacked means the Squad was often tasked with more menial tasking.
Janitorial duties were often on top of these jobs. Scrubbing the pathways around their barracks area were a necessity. Keeping a clean and sharp appearance was important to the job of soldiering. the upkeep of such thing improves one's eye for detail, discipline, and organization. Along such things they would be tasked with, reconstruction, training, assisting with patrolling the rukongai were among one of the more common duties. All of these things when adding in the pettiness of a squad full of hyped up angry bois become much more intolerable.
Still, she couldn't blame her for the problems she had been facing. Sure, they were annoying. Sure this annoyance coupled with the stress of being acting captain led to loss of sleep, degradation of good work practices, and loss of the discipline Captain Hotaru had instilled. Miranda wasn't ready but still answered the call. She turned to alcoholism. Although it did help her cope, it would give her bad habits that followed her when she received her new vice captain, Celes, formally from Squad 11. It was good to see a face she recognized, but she would find out personally that this Celes wasn't the shy, timid girl trying to find her way in the service anymore.
No, she was strong and took command quickly and readily. She turned this squad around and brought order where Miranda could not. At the end of it all, Miranda had to answer for her alcoholism. For something like this she could have been imprisoned or even executed if the consequences of drinking on duty did anything controversial, but this wasn't the case. A new discipline report would be added to her file and she would be tasked with helping training up the new squad 11 recruits for about a month or until Celes decides enough was enough. "This isn't you, Miranda... Maybe this will help you find yourself again", she'd said to her.
Miranda shook her head and begrudgingly entered the compound, giving a playful, albeit snarky, "Hope you two are standing a smart and professional watch~", to the gate guards who quit their conversation upon seeing her approach. She could nearly hear their heart race as she passed them, entering directly into their training grounds. It was in a layout similar to theirs. Even the buildings seemed to resemble hers in layout. She'd smile and stretch her arms over her head, waiting for the Squad 11 members to assemble. Granted she was early, however because she is here means she isn't being tasked by something silly.
