Circumstances: A storm is brewing. Having plans for a rather large-scale attack in the near-future, Orobas has decided to begin gathering a team of sorts. One Saika in particular has caught his eye; Kitai. While he's been busy digging through the Seventh Ring, Orobas decides to not only test both of their skills in combat, but make him pay for causing mass destruction.

Taking they time to venture around the Envainar base, Orobas did what they could in order to figure out just what they were going to do. They were absolutely planning something big for the time being, and something needed to be done in order to advance whatever goals they had needed to accomplish one of the greatest feats in a very long time; a full-scale attack on one of the most powerful organizations in the Three Worlds. Time was absolutely needed to plan this, and unfortunately the hellish army that was hard at the very moment just wasn't going to cut it. Something much bigger was absolutely necessary somewhere down the line.

"S-Sir!" a currently-enslaved Nakabakki ran up to Orobas, chain around his neck as he made his way to Orobas' side, "there's someone tearing through the Seventh Ring! They're massacring thousands by the seconds!" As the Naka finished speaking, Orobas threw a hand up in order to silence him. He slowly turned his head to the Naka, and then began to speak through the Naka's mind. "Patience, young one. I'm sure it's something that may very well blow over soon enough. We need not worry about it." Turning back to the scroll he currently busy writing away in, despite not being able to see what he was actually writing, much more focused on this than some skirmish in the ring of violence of all places.

Five hundred thousand souls had to perish again before Orobas decided to take a look at what was going on. Something was cleaving through the Seventh Ring like it was a slab of hellbutter. Granted, it was the Seventh Ring, but even then, going fifty thousand to one was a big accomplishment even for the fucks up there. There was no way in, well, hell, that one person was behind this. At least, that's exactly what Orobas had thought before actually making his way up to the Ring itself and finding out exactly what had been going on. As it turns out, they were horrendously, horrendously wrong in their calculations. As it turned out, one being had managed to do all of this. In fact, he was still going.

They couldn't stand for this. This was absolutely nothing but heresy at this point. Somebody needed to pay for whatever the hell had been going on down here. Scouting out around the ring, Orobas did what they could in order to hunt down this damned serial genocider. Where could they have been? It was hard to tell, but they would stop at absolutely nothing until whoever it was causing this shit was brought to whatever kind of justice could be brought to someone condemned to eternal damnation.

[Kitai Yoru]

Ah the Seventh Ring of Hell. So many things that Kitai likes about this layer. The number seven was his favorite number, bar triple seven. There was also the giant river of lava and blood that ran in this place. Very useful for this area, given that it was the realm of violence. Blood lets the people return from death here, like a greater version of the Blood Pool that Kitai uses to heal up and stay out of Hell. Which Kitai was currently in, because he had to vent off some steam. Kitai B was running the shop back home, while the cops and Government had a hit out on his face because of those stupid teenagers who had filmed him.

He walked over the swampy lands, as the murder orgy took place. Hundreds, thousands of people and monsters were tearing through one another, as the screams of war were audible throughout the layer. Kitai was walking towards the battle taking place, an angry smirk plastered on his face. His Gigai body was preemptively activated in preparation for this. His Black Fog at his feet, rolling along the ground like an omen of death. He drooped his gravitational pressure unto the combatants, pausing the fighting for the briefest of moments, catching their attention. The Lunatic was laughing, as he started running towards the lot, creating a orb of 10,000 reiatsu with his Faustian Bargain.

The warlike yell that he received was exhilarating. He was staring death in the face. He could feel hate and wrath wafting over him like a rush of heat. The energy of combat, the dance of death, and the anticipation of tearing through them. They rushed him, because they've long since lost themselves to the corruption of Hell. They might as well be a part of the landscape at this point. Which was fine by the Saika. Chains flew out of his sleeves, as he spun around like a top, as his Bladed Chains began to rip and tear through the Hellions like they were made of Styrofoam.

They didn't fall one by one, they fell by the dozens. Their bodies were consumed by the Black Fog, charging it beyond reason. "HAHAHA! YES! YES! FALL TO THE BLACK FOG! DIE YOU WEAK WILLED ANIMALS! HAAAAAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA!" He screamed in joy, as one of the sinners managed to score a hit on his back. It was a pathetic blow, and one that he quickly lost his head for, but it was euphoric either way. There was no end to the hoard, and that was fine right now. He just wanted to feel the pleasures of cutting down evil, or cutting down these mindless beasts of war. The feeling of feeling alive!

To anyone who had the capability to sense reiatsu, which likely wasn't any meathead in this sorry lot, they'd be able to see a large mass of energy charging in his chest. After cutting down another two dozen sinners, he unleased Cutback Assault. Like a bomb, it swept through the masses, leaving bodies as bloody smears and chunks against the ground, which was also shoved back. Like a Nuke, it turned anyone who managed to survive the initial blast into bloody chunks, as the effect of cutback. Thousands were wiped out in an instant because of just how large the blast proved to be.

And then Kitai unleashed the hounds of war.

Normally, the amount of reiatsu would have only been enough for roughly ten beasts or so, but the sheer amount of trash spirits throwing them into the fog charged it beyond reason. A good thousand beasts spilled out like a tidal wave of flesh and hatred. They spread over the lands, killing everything in their paths. Kitai stood in the center of the madness, as the roars of his beast overshadowed anything that had come before them. Kitai, with his chains still active, grabbed one of the hounds he had created, forty feet in height, as he took a bite out of the beast with his Mark of Sin: Gluttony. His Spiritual Pressure leapt up to 2,400.

He was going to tear down this fucking layer, or die trying. Which was a definite possibility. He wanted to see who would stop him first, some random Hellion, or one of the Guardians. One he could deal with, while the other would just force him to run. Either way, someone would be pissed at him enough to try and get in his way. And he looked forward to it. He watched as the hounds killed and consumed a few of the ones who were emerging through the lava rivers, sending them right back to a death-like state. He laughed at the madness, and waited for whatever was next to come, to come.

To say that Orobas was absolutely livid by the accounts of heresy going on here would've been the biggest understatement of a lifetime. Orobas was angry enough to fill each of these dead bodies that Kitai had been leaving with raw, unchecked rage, and then some. They were immediately going to put a stop to this. Resting on the ground, Orobas began to channel their reiatsu through their body to force about some rather horrid mutations. Their body shifted to stand at about six feet tall, their arms split directly down the middle, their torso shrunk to nigh-impossible sizes, and everything took on a much more chitinous appearance. "Oh, it's been much too long since I've last used this form," they said aloud.

Grasping at their shoulder and ripping off two rather large chunks of flesh that grew back almost instantaneously, Orobas quickly threw them into the air where they remained stagnant and began to churn away at... whatever it was they were beginning to create. Within a matter of a second, two different eldritch abominations popped out; one that looked no different than that of some slightly over-developed fetus, and another that stood towering at a height similar to that of Orobas at the moment. Grabbing at the smaller one, a section of Orobas' upper torso seemed to open up as bones turned to teeth when they proceeded to throw in the horror that simply was of no use to fight.

Almost immediately as that horror had been consumed, Orobas' reiatsu surged through the area, significantly boosting his offensive potential. His Reiatsu Strength was now sitting at a readily formidable 2250, and they were ready to finally start. Enhancing his claws, and forming his favored spectral daggers around him, Orobas made haste to Kitai through the use of Placidus, moving at a fairly high speed 5625 straight within melee distance from the Saika that had been causing havoc. Apart of the same movement, Orobas grabbed one of their daggers from their side, and aimed to stab it straight into Kitai's body, forcing it to go intangible if need be in order to actually implant the damned thing, all the while allowing himself to slash against his own hand in the process.

After making the attempt to strike at the Saika, Orobas looked to press a hand against the Saika's chest in order to activate a powered-up version of what was effectively their signature Kido at this point; Hado #90: Kurohitsugi. Speaking the incantation mentally in order to prep the spell, Orobas looked to try to entrap the Saika where they could in order to make sure they'd be taking a rather painful blow, with the offensive ability of the technique sitting at 4050. Ultimately, if any of these strikes connected, Kitai likely wouldn't have been feeling too hot due to two different forms of Orobas' own special little brands of corruption now eating away at the Saika both physically and mentally.

Stepping back a few feet, Orobas stared at the black box closing in on the area around where the Saika had been standing, and took a deep breath. "Well then, that was certainly quite the warm-up. Tell me, Saika, if you're still in there; what brings you to this Ring? What drives you to feel the need to expand upon the already endless slaughter happening within this realm? Surely you must have a reason for this... senseless violence? Though, even if you do, I suppose I must make some sort of example out of you, no? Can't have rebels such as yourself wandering and doing whatever it is they please. No, that wouldn't do at all, now would it?"

Using his rather immaculate Energy Sensory to read through the area, Orobas was able to pick up a few things about the Saika. "Kitai Yoru, huh? I must say, that is certainly a rather interesting name you have. I'd love to see what you're capable of, especially if you're even a fraction of being as close to immortal as you seem. Yes, I think my time spent here will do nicely, don't you think, Kitai?" With that last bit said, Orobas put quite a bit of emphasis on the Saika's name, in an attempt to disrespect him. Whether or not it mean fuck-all was for the Saika to decide. Once again, striking another hand with one of the two floating daggers, Orobas held the bloodied palm out, both wounds not actually healing despite his regenerative capabilities, just waiting for Kitai to make any sudden move to strike against him.

{Overall Ability}
Orobas' Saisei Oni revolves around the occult, and the horrific beings seen only in eldritch horror. His powerset revolves around both the creation of these eldritch beings, as well as the general occult concept of black magic through the use of “corrupted” kido. Orobas' Saisei Oni Overall has the appearance of his kido changed, as to both throw off the opponent a bit, as well as take on a much more sinister, occult appearance. Most of the casting of these kido invoke the appearance of various pentacles being formed near the origin of the technique, and the actual techniques themselves take on a darker shape. For example, Hado #4, Byakurai is going to take on a black lightning color, originating from a floating, spectral pentacle in front of the user's hand. Hado #33, Sokatsui is bound to lose its fiery appearance, and instead take on the shape of an amalgamation of eldritch flesh, rot, and general waste engulfed in the flames of hell.

Orobas' Saisei Oni is fairly handicapped when it comes to physical strength. The release itself is incredibly focused around fighting through the user's summons, subterfuge, stealth, and, if needed, incredibly potent spellcasting. Orobas is a commander. As such, he prefers to sit back and observe the carnage as opposed to fighting in the middle of it. There's very little benefit to him being in close range, aside from potentially inflicting Eldritch Decay, Orobas' signatire "fuck you and your reiatsu" tool. Eldritch Decay works as follows; After being afflicted, every post the afflicted target has the option to spend reiatsu in order to slow the decay effect. The afflicted loses 50 points in one post-type stat of their choice, up to a maximum of 200 total SP lost. This loss lasts until Eldritch Decay ends, so long as the duration is not refreshed. For every 25 points of reiatsu they choose to spend, the stat loss is reduced by 10, with the potential to completely negate this stat loss for the cost of 125 reiatsu per affliction. Eldritch Decay lasts for 2 posts normally, but can be refreshed back to 2 posts with each additional application of the affliction while it’s still active, with a maximum duration of 2 posts. Eldritch Decay can be resisted entirely with a 1 in Poison Resist, a Class superiority, or an OS superiority.

Other than that, his release requires him to be at a range at almost all times, if not then in the shadows picking off his opponent from a safe area while they struggle to fight against his summons, and then swoop in for the kill. As a bit of a side note, Orobas' kit is incredibly powerful. That much is exceedingly obvious. That being said, though, this is a powerset that requires quite a lot of setup, and has an exceptionally tedious amount of micromanagement built into it that helps to balance that out a bit for it to be truly used at its fullest potential.

{Birthing Pod}
Orobas rips off a small portion of his horrific form, and quickly uses 300 reiatsu to reshape it into a pod double the size of a basketball, and has a durability equal to Orobas' OS. This pod is then released out into the air, where it hovers and remains indefinitely, spawning eldritch creatures only seen in nightmares. These creatures act as Orobas' personal army of nigh-indefinitely spawning monstrosities. By spending 50 reiatsu, Orobas can create a Class 8 horror, no larger than a small dog. A Class 8 horror is given 100 SP to divide however Orobas sees fit upon creation between Strength, Speed, Reiatsu Strength, Instinct, and Senses. An additional amount of reiatsu can be added to each of these summons, increasing the Class of the horror spawned by 1 for every additional 50 reiatsu, up to a maximum of Class 2. Every Class above 8 that a horror is created at gives said horror an additional 50 SP to work with for stats. Due to these beings not being of this world, they’re not prone to collapsing from having below-average stats, nor are they locked out of spiritual abilities due to having low spiritual stats. Upon being killed, these horrors immediately dissolve into dust. Only one summon can be created from a Birthing Pod per post, but multiple Birthing Pods can be set up. Though, this cost is prone to quickly add up if too many are created. In Primera Etapa, only one birthing pod can be created per post, and only two horrors can be summoned at any given time.

Once Orobas activates Segunda Etapa, he can consume the horrors he’s created to regain some reiatsu back. By touching a live horror, Orobas can regain the reiatsu spent to create the creature, plus an additional 20 reiatsu per Class of the horror above 8. For this to work, the horror needs to be alive. Second, only one horror can be consumed per post this way. This consumption requires one paragraph per 200 reiatsu absorbed, and should Orobas be interrupted during the consumption process the horror is lost and only half the reiatsu is not gained. Four horrors can now be summoned at any given time.

In Tercera Etapa, Orobas can spend 150 reiatsu to force these horrors to fuse together in an unholy combination of flesh and rot. The fused horror retains the highest class of the horrors fused, and both summons have their SP pools added together, up to a maximum of 1000. This SP is then redistributed, and all injuries previous horrors had are healed. Only two total fusions can occur per post, and a horror must be active for at least one post before it can be fused; once a horror is released from its Birthing Pod, it cannot be fused that post. Once a new horror is created via fusion, it cannot fuse with other horrors for one post. Six horrors can now be summoned at any given time, and two birthing pods can be created per post.

Cuarta Etapa brings about the ability to fuse into specialized horrors for 400 reiatsu. When fusing together three or more Class 2 horrors at one time, the user can create a Class 1 horror. This horror has a predetermined amount of SP, is given a “type”, and cannot be fused with lesser horrors, but it can be fused with other Class 1 horrors of the same type. The available types for these horrors are Attacker, Defender, and Proliferator. All of these types, upon creation, have 1000 SP to spend freely, no matter how much SP the previous horrors had, and can be fused up to Orobas' current total SP. After allocation, each type grants these bonuses; Attacker provides a 50% increase to Reiatsu Strength, Defender provides a 50% bonus to Strength, and Proliferator provides a 50% bonus to Instinct. These increased stats cannot go beyond 75% of Orobas' OS, after type. When two Class 1 horrors of the same type fuse, another Class 1 horror of that same type is created, with these fusions. Horrors of different types cannot be fused. Eight horrors can now be summoned at any given time, and up to two of them can be specialized horrors.

Quinta Etapa allows for the detonation of these horrors. By forcibly pumping reiatsu into these horrors, they can be sent to run into a target, and detonated in a large blast (twenty feet in diameter), mixing flesh and fire. Only Class 1 Attacker type horrors can be detonated, and forcing these horrors to detonate costs 200 reiatsu. This explosion has an OS equal to the average between the horror’s Reiatsu Strength, and anything hit by the blast is afflicted with Eldritch Decay. Ten horrors can now be summoned at any given time, and up to four of them can be specialized horrors.

{Blood Magic}
Orobas' weapon of choice is a sacrificial dagger of sorts. As such, this is more meant for rituals than for actually attacking. With this dagger, Orobas can injure himself, and spread his blood across his palm. His blood remains there until he decides to cast any kind of Kido. From here, depending on the class of the kido being cast, Orobas can gain a benefit to this kido cast after sacrificing his own life essence. While in Primera Etapa, the first kido of Class 5 or lower can either have its Reiatsu cost halved, or the OS bonus gained from speaking the incantation is doubled (a 10% bonus to OS for the technique is increased to 20% instead). After casting a kido like this, the blood is then burned, causing a slight searing pain to Orobas' hand. For another kido to be cast this way, more blood is required, and this does add up quite quickly. It also takes time to apply blood to the user’s hand, leaving them open. When casting a Kido like this, the incantation must always be spoken aloud, no matter how many points in Mental Incantations the user may have. High-Speed Regeneration is delayed with the injuries caused from this technique; for every Class of kido used, High-Speed Regeneration will not heal that wound for a number of posts equal to half the Class of the kido above 8, rounded up (a Class 7 kido would leave this wound for one post, while a Class 2 kido would leave this wound for 3 posts).

In Segunda Etapa, Kido of Class 4 or lower can be cast this way. In Tercera, this benefit goes for Kido of Class 3 or lower, Cuarta brings this benefit for Kido for Class 2 or lower, and finally Quinta Etapa allows this benefit to affect Kido of Class 1 or lower.

{Cellular Corruption}
Once Tercera Etapa is entered, Orobas gains the ability to slowly begin to tear apart any beings he lands a melee attack against, slowly converting them into a horror. Upon landing a melee attack, Cellular Corruption can be activated for a cost of 600 reiatsu, and a target of an equal or lower class is then afflicted with Light Cellular Corruption. This debuff comes in multiple severities; Light, Average, Above Average, Heavy, Severe, and Critical. Depending on the severity, certain effects will take place. Once Cellular Corruption is applied, all of Orobas' applicable melee attacks apply Cellular Corruption until the debuff expires.

At Light Corruption, the victim will begin to feel their mind become clouded, and it will become hard to focus in combat. This effect can be resisted with at least a 1 in Battle Focus, Lack of Fear, or Calm Mind.

At Average Corruption, the victim’s mind is clouded even more, as whispers in unintelligible, horrific languages begin to fill their mind, further harming their ability to focus during combat, and potentially leave them vulnerable to making mistakes, such as harming an ally. This effect can be resisted with at least a 2 in Battle Focus or Calm Mind, or a 1 in Lack of Fear.

At Above Average Corruption, the whispers inside of the victim’s head get worse, causing these mistakes to be somewhat more severe as they're actively persuaded by these voices to commit atrocities, and requiring a 3 in Battle Focus or Calm Mind, or a 2 in Lack of Fear to resist the mental affects, and the victim’s own skin begins to slowly mutate and change shape, taking on similar appearances to that of Orobas’ release appearances. These changes aren’t anything severe at this rank, but will proceed to get worse with time.

At Heavy Corruption, these whispers begin to drown out the sound of anything else around the victim, requiring a 4 in Battle Focus or or Calm Mind, a 3 in Lack of Fear, or 3 points in two of the aforementioned skills just to focus on combat. The user’s skin begins to shift constantly, doing anything from changing color, to having skin peel off and rot, and sometimes betraying their own movements. A 2 in Strength of Will will negate this, and allow them to maintain control over their bodies.

At Severe Corruption, the user’s body will occasionally go as far as to stop functioning for a split second at a time as it continues to shift. These shifts will grow more severe over time, causing whole limbs to potentially go numb and split down the middle, and have miniature horrors sprout from underneath their skin. The times where those afflicted feel unable to control their own body grow worse and happen more often, negated by a 3 in Strength of Will.

At Critical Corruption, All of the previous effects still occur, being the whispers and the shifting, and for all intents and purposes the foe at Critical Corruption counts as a horror for the purpose of Orobas' other release techniques. Any technique that would require Orobas to sacrifice a horror simply inflicts the target with an attack equal to Orobas' OS. Those afflicted become unable to speak the language(s) they could previously, and instead can only resort to using those same horrific whispers that previously plagued their mind.

A new level of corruption is applied with each melee attack after the first, and certain stages of corruption only last for a certain amount of time. Light Corruption lasts 3 posts before it fades. Every other stage of corruption lasts for 2 posts, before it degrades into one stage below what it is (After two posts in Average corruption, it becomes Light Corruption). The exception to this rule is Critical Corruption, which lasts 3 posts. Every time Cellular Corruption is applied while in Critical Corruption, the duration is refreshed. Cellular Corruption can only be activated once per post. Any of these body-shifting affects immediately revert someone back to their original state once Orobas' release ends.

In Cuarta Etapa, the cost of Cellular Corruption is reduced to 400 reiatsu each time it’s afflicted instead of 600. In Quinta Etapa, Class 2 Horrors or above can inflict Cellular Corruption with their own melee strikes.

{Sanctification}
Upon paying a reiatsu cost of 50 reiatsu per dagger per post, the user creates three spectral daggers around them, floating by. These daggers are semi-metaphysical. As such, they can be interacted with and used to attack, as well as launched toward opponents at a speed of 500. While summoned, these daggers can be used as an origin point for non touch-based techniques, or Orobas' melee release techniques, sans Evisceration. If one of Orobas' melee release techniques is used this way, the cost of the technique is increased by 1.5x the original cost. These daggers, once inside of a target, slowly begin siphoning reiatsu. While in a target, they’ll siphon 50 reiatsu per post from the target. New daggers can be created after daggers are inside of a target, creating a potentially limitless amount, if Orobas can continue landing hits with them. Once a technique is channeled through a dagger, the dagger then disappears. Melee-based non-release techniques cannot be channeled through these daggers, and all techniques that have an incantation cannot use that incantation; if a technique requires an incantation, it cannot be casted.

In Cuarta Etapa, these daggers take on a more intangible form. For an additional 50 reiatsu per dagger to maintain, Orobas can make these daggers intangible while inside of a target, preventing them from being removed physically. They can still be reiatsu-flexed and removed that way. In Quinta Etapa, these daggers, while buried inside of a target, intangible or not, can be used as a conduit for touch-based non-release techniques, as opposed to Orobas needing to be in melee range to use them. As such, though, incantation bonuses cannot be gained, and these techniques cost 2x the amount of reiatsu they would normally cost.

Technique Description and Effects:

This is the Akki step technique. While Akki can use step techniques from other races, this technique is particularly devastating because it belongs to them. This is the unique Akki ability for stepping.

What this technique does is allow the Akki to phase briefly in and out of their current plain of existence. In other words, they momentarily disappear, blinking out of existence. As they do, a flash of black explodes outwards. Anyone that witnesses them blinking out of existence will suddenly see nothing but blackness for that split second. It is hardly enough to affect the battle, but rather it is theatrical. The Akki, during that brief second, is gone, and cannot be attacked. This is a direct "teleportation," unlike Shunpo or Sonido, which are merely fast movement.

Averagely, this is performed at 15x the user's speed, making it one of the fastest individual steps. It is also known to be able to move forwards within three small steps rather than one. It can also be done for one. If done in three, the same distance is covered in three smaller steps, creating a theatrical flash of black with each appearance and disappearance. Additionally, there is a flash of white light when the Akki reappears and blinks back into existence. Any who witness this flash of light will suddenly see hallucinations of horrible monstrosities and new body features on the Akki in question that uses this technique, and their fear of the individual will increase.

How to use technique:

Like all step techniques, this one requires a simple step as well. It is done for 200 reiatsu per use, which is why most Akki prefer to use the steps of other races. It is an expensive step technique, but is easily one of the most powerful.

{Kurohitsugi w/Doubled Incantation}
Technique Name: Hado #90: Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin)

Technique Description and Effects: A brutal spell, this Kido forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. Escape from within is nearly impossible, causing those trapped by it to face certain doom. It is virtually unbreakable from the inside, except by a vastly superior spiritual strength, and with a technique class 2 or above. This is also considered impossible to dodge at point blank range.

How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.

Incantation and Effect: “Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!” With the incantation, this spell gets a 40% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 140 with incantation).

[Kitai Yoru]

Like a melody playing through his head, he could feel the rush of combat kick in. Feeling the release of something powerful caused him to turn to face it. He plopped the reiatsu orb into his mouth with a sickening crack, splitting the air with the sound, as the abomination grew several human fetuses. It was hideous, beyond human, and easily the second strongest being he'd ever felt. Or, at least in terms of things that could have possibly once been human. It wasn't anymore, clearly fallen so far below humanity. It resembled more of a fish than anything, as it grew a chest mouth to eat the half baked babies it had created.

As he swallowed the reiatsu, he could feel his body burn in pain from the flare of power. A reminder that he was still mortal at the end of the day. If he didn't take this thing, this.... "FILTHY FUCKING AKKI!" The words tore themselves from his mouth with a snarl, as a mark on the back of his right hand glowed with power. Wrath overwhelmed his mind and senses, as his body burned with a power familiar to all denizens of Hell. His body burned everything it touched, as a red aura hugged his form like a second skin. It could destroy anything within the power of the user to destroy. Sadly, the Akki was powerful beyond his means for the moment.

As the demi-hollow flashed forward, he stabbed down at the saika, burying a spectral dagger into the chest of the raging Lunatic. The blade carved through the effects of Wrath with some resistance, but bounced off of his ultra durable body thanks to having been weakened and dulled by his rage. HE thought he felt something afflicting him from this blow, but his anger, much like the blade, dulled his wit for the moment. Unfortunately for the Saika, the Akki did not stop at the dagger strike. It was like feeling a black hole be placed upon his chest, as a Kido of untold power was activated directly on top of him.

This piece of Hell garbage thought he could slap him with demon magic and bounce!? NOT A CHANCE! Kitai's chains shot out like twin bullets, extending with both the power of his Bladed Chains, and his Grasp of the Dead, they reached out to grab the Akki with burning hands. With both of these powers combined, the range of these things would be a total of 96 feet, moving at a speed of 1,000 speed. If the claws manage to grab a hold of the Akki, they'll immediately drag him towards Kitai, intent on forcing him to endure this attack as well. Whether he managed to forced Orobis into the box with him, Kitai would be unable to dodge the Kido.

Power which Kitai had only faced once before slammed into him, tearing his body asunder, as blades slammed into him by the dozens, ripping him to shreds. It was over in an instant. And then the real Kitai was ejected from it. The wounds were there, but greatly reduced. His body mass was cut down, instead of blade wounds, the skin, muscles, and organs were thinned down, leaving barely half of what was there before. It was painful, it was irritating, and it was dangerous for the Saika. Kitai groaned in pain, as he forced the limb of his old body to phase into the ground for a Blood Pool, before he grabbed it.

He glared at the akki for daring to harm him. Kitai's true form was on full display. A tall, lanky man, with half his face burnt to the point of charcoal, with a demonic red eye. Black wings lay limply against the ground, before Kitai rose to his feet. Rage bubbled up and down his cloak, as he stared at this disgusting thing. It's form already different from how it first appeared as. It disgusted him. He hated Akki with a passion. How dare they look down upon Saika, on others, when they were no better than he was? He'd have his head. Or, whatever constituted for a head on that thing.

The wings on his back flared with power, as the second level of his Darkskill was activated. The chains on his ankles activated themselves, much like the ones on his wrists. Calling upon the Black Fog once more, three beasts rushed out, while a third was kept behind, as Kitai used Gluttony to kill and consume a portion of it. 3,200 Sprp, and Kitai rose a hundred twenty four feet into the air, using his chains to manipulate his position. After activating his level two property on the corpse, he tossed it behind him.

"DIE AKKI!" The chain attached to his right wrist twitched to life, as it whipped around and lashed out at the akki. It had a speed of 600, and a cutting power of 3,200. Kitai was going to have to be careful now. His body had been destroyed with ease, because this thing was actually matching him in terms of raw power. He couldn't use Cutback Assault, because it would most definitely kill him. So, he decided to try the other Cutback technique he had. His fists began to glow with an unearthly red color, as he dragged himself to the ground, as he punched the seventh layer like a meteor.

Everything exploded, as the force behind the attack created a massive shockwave, even larger than the Cutback Assault. Combat Cutback was a powerful move, and while he wasn't comfortable trying to hit him directly, something like this was hopefully fine. A 3,200 strength shockwave is nothing to sneeze at, as another blast ravaged the landscape, kicking up dust and debris for miles. If this thing could kill his body like that, then he needed to hit it harder. His focus was on sensing this thing's energy, tracking where it was. Making sure it didn't get too close.

Technique Description and Effects: [Being stuck in the bad end of the afterlife tends to bring out of some of the more negative aspects of the soul. One of seven that can be concentrated and brought forth in a physical form. This manifests as a mark on the body. For Wrath, this mark is branded on the inside of the right forearm. When activated, the user gives into their rage and anger, showing their hate for the world. Their bodies burn with a power they normally wouldn't be able to muster up. Anything that comes into contact with their bodies at this time will be damaged and burnt from the raw power they're letting off. Even brief interactions with the user in this state can melt skin. Lasts two posts.

Their body burns with the power of their original highest offensive stat, destroying anything with less than three quarters of it, and blocking anything above that. Attacks with a higher offensive stat will be undamaged.]

How to use technique: [User gives into their emotion, becoming the embodiment of Wrath, losing the ability to strategize. Costs 250 reiatsu.]

Technique Drawbacks: [The user must give into their emotion in order to use this ability, severely limiting their ability to think coherently, let alone form strategies. They can still use abilities, but not in any tactical way. After the ability ends, the user is left fatigued, their body not able to maintain full power afterward. Physicals are halved. Cooldown, 5 posts.]

{Combat Cutback}Technique Name: [Combat Cutback] Learned

Technique Description and Affects: Persons with high spiritual pressure are known for their large reiatsu pools, but they also tend to be known for their weaker reiatsu strength, which means they have a ton of reiatsu, but not that much to actually use it on. This techniques entire purpose is to take that sheer volume of reiatsu and turn it into a viable, dangerous weapon.

The user builds up a pool of reiatsu internally, increasing the internal pressure, before channeling it towards a set of limbs, such as the hands or feet, discharging it as a weapon. By doing this the user can harness their reiatsu into physical striking power, allowing them to match a physically stronger opponent blow for blow, or possibly even beat them. Upon initial use the user pays 75 reiatsu per 100 strength, maxing out at their spiritual pressure, but afterwards the per post upkeep drops to 25 per 100. The amount of force generated can be changed once per post, going down merely drops the upkeep, but going up, the user must pay the initial upkeep as well as an additional 75 reiatsu for every 100 strength they add to the technique.


How to use technique (How is it activated?): Building up internal reiatsu before focusing it on a set of limbs such as hand hands or feet (or other applicable appendage like a tail). Before mastery of this technique only a single limb, such as one hand or foot, may be selected at a given moment, after master is obtained both may be used at once.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc): Besides a fairly large initial cost and a moderate per post upkeep this technique only has one major drawback; reiatsu burns. When using this technique the user is forcing a large amount of reiatsu to be funneled through a relatively small area, so extended use can be dangerous. 1st degree burns begin to form after about 3 posts, 2nd degree after 5, 3rd after 7, and finally after 9 posts the chosen limb becomes borderline useless and the technique can no longer be used in that area. Healing, specifically of the burns, will reset the timer of this technique.

Technique Description and Effects:[This is a very tricky ability for Hell users to first pickup, but absolutely invaluable once they've gotten the hang of it. By manipulating their chains, the users of this ability are able to channel heat and flames through the blackened bindings tethering them to Hell, creating a long arm of energy. The construct is an extension of the user in almost every way, being as dexterous as its creator. The Hands are spiritual in nature, and scale off of the user's highest spiritual stat. For every 50 in either rs or sprp, the hands can extend one foot. Hands move at a speed of 600, or equal to the user, whichever is faster. Hands have a piercing power equal to the spiritual stat of the user, and burn away anything with less than half of the users spiritual stat, destroying anything it touches. Cost, 100 reiatsu per post. Each level of mastery grants the user an additional pair of arms, up to three pairs.]

It seemed as though Orobas wasn't going to be given the luxury of being freed from his own blackened hell. It kind of figured, it was only natural for a hellion of all people to take someone down with them; it was simply natural behavior for someone locked away to eternal damnation. As they felt their body lurch backward toward Kitai as the black box began to form around him, they didn't even bother to resist. Instead, they threw up a defensive technique that would most assuredly protect them from the incoming assault of reiatsu-aided blades; the Envainar Guard. At the current moment, Orobas' was easily an even 4500, which superseded that of their own Kido.

Upon being dragged into the black box, completely devoid of light as numerous blades began to pierce through Kitai's body and merely bounce off their own with a likely 'twang', Orobas shoved their hand into Kitai's chest, looking to dig their claws beneath the skin in order to further afflict the Saika with those same eldritch diseases, and began to speak an incantation mentally once more. As the blades of Kurohitsugi were beginning to come to a close, Orobas had prepared to launch off twin bolts of eldritch flame and flesh directly into Kitai's chest, should he not move out of the way in time in order to free himself from the blast equivalent to 3315 Reiatsu Strength; strong, but unaided through the same blood ritual he'd used before.

If Kitai was still continuing through with his plan of action, Orobas would take note as Kitai skyrocketed himself into the air. Surely something could've been done about this, but that wasn't their concern; Kitai had managed to withstand one of Orobas' Kurohitsugi. In the Akki's mind, this was one hell of an accomplishment. He deserved praise for something like that. They'd have to make a note of that and compliment accordingly. As Kitai's chains began to approach at the speed they did, Orobas took the opportunity instead to make haste out of the way and straight toward the Saika via the same speed-booster they had used earlier; Placidus. They weren't going to let him get away if they could help it.

Once again moving at 5625 speed directly upward by propelling off of the ground, followed by Placidus' signature split second of absolute darkness, Orobas once again prepared another Kido to fire at the Saika; though, instead of being Hado this time, Orobas wanted to make the try to restrain Kitai. Mentally speaking the incantation for one of his favorite techniques, Orobas began to descend alongside Kitai as five thick steel pillars began to also drop from the sky above the Saika, each one chained together and aiming to pin him straight to the ground. Sure, he had enough time to get out of the way of the Bakudo if he was able to move quick enough, but ultimately that was up to the Saika to do.

That said though, a shockwave of that caliber had absolutely been particularly nasty. Blowing Orobas back easily a good two to three-hundred feet from Kitai in a single effort was nothing to scoff at. This Saika really was impressive. They remained interested in seeing just what this Saika was able to do. That said, they weren't going to give him any room to breathe if they could help it; such was just not their way in combat. The only time he'd get is if he were able to earn it; much like he had done now. Instead, Orobas simply decided to make the walk back to Kitai, as setting up their horrors was now for naught; if Kitai could do that, then horrors stood no chance.

Upon approaching the Saika, keeping their guard up the entire time, they began to speak. "Kitai," they said, "you've quite the impressive amount of strength behind you. How's about you don't hold any of that back at all? I promise you that here in a second, I will not be either. I will aim to dismember you. Painfully. I'd advise you to do the same." While they did say that, they simply stood there from then on, as though watching Kitai's movements. They didn't know what exactly to expect. They still had no semblance of an idea what he was capable of; he seemed to be moving pretty much sporadically the entire time. They'd need some sort of game plan, but for now it was time to sit back and let the Saika wear himself out.

Technique Name: Hado #73: Sōren Sōkatsui (Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down)

Technique Description and Effects: This spell is, in all practicality, a doubled version of Hado #33, Sōkatsui. When released, this spell fires with the potency of not one, but two Sōkatsui orbs, creating an enormous blast of blue fire that can easily consume a target as it envelops them. Even glancing hits can cause first-degree burns with ease.

How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.

Incantation and Effect: “Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens.” With the incantation, this spell gets a 30% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 130 with incantation).

{Gochutekan}

Technique Description and Effects:

Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars which are chained together. These fall from the sky and slam at great speeds into a target, pinning them to the ground as well as causing physical damage to the body.

How to use technique:

State the name of the technique while the casting hand is aimed at the target.

Incantation and Effect:

The incantation causes the speed of the pillars to double, while also causing immobility in targets trapped by this technique. ("Walls of ironsand, a priestly pagoda, glowing ironclad fireflies. Standing upright, silent to the end.")

[Kitai Yoru]

Chains down in Hell were a symbol. A symbol of punishment, of servitude, slavery. They were a symbol that no matter who you were down here, you were a pet. A possession. An object to be toyed with as He pleased. They were proof that you would never escape Hell. Kitai spit in the face of that idea. If he couldn't break them, then he would use them to his advantage. He'd make Hell work for him, until he could throw it behind him and never look back. He couldn't break them, and neither could any technique that this Akki threw at him. This was proven true, as the retracting chains, twisted and moved, slashing into the great balls of fire.

At the moment Sokatsui was launched, Kitai didn't have the os advantage to destroy the Demon Magic, but he could detonate them before they could reach Kitai. The balls exploded, throwing the chains back in Kitai's face, as they quickly wrapped around his frame. The Akki might have scored a stroke on his chest earlier, if not for his Wrath. It shielded him from the blow, bouncing off his chest, with neither taking any damage from the interaction. Kitai's defenses were proving to be entirely ineffective against an opponent of this caliber, but thankfully it worked out in this particular instance.

The Akki managed to avoid the beasts he had spawned by teleporting into the air. It tried to drop iron pillars onto him, but the meteor-like shockwave he had produced had blasted them into pieces. Kitai was still under the influence of his rage for a little while longer, but even he could tell this was a deviation from the other attacks it had tried. Instant death knife box, double fireball, stabbing him in the chest twice, and now iron pillars? What was this thing planning? In his wrath-drunk state, he couldn't put the pieces together. From the bottom of his shockwave crater, he couldn't care to put them together.

More reiatsu formed in his fist. Faustian Bargain had been activated once more, draining him of 4,000 reiatsu. Charged by the vast amounts of reiatsu, he summoned more beasts. The Black Fog had been growing steadily over the course of this fight. Fifteen feet in any direction around Kitai, thirty feet from end to end. And from that fog, four winged monstrosities flew out. Beasts that were little more than winged mouths, with backs covered in fifty foot tentacles, flew towards the transformed Akki. Well, three of them flew upwards. The fourth was cut down by the chains of its creator.

Gluttony was starting to affect Kitai's mind, even through the haze of rage. He bit into the flesh of the beast, even as his stomach began to cry out for more, growling with a lion-like roar. His Spiritual Pressure jumped to highs that he had never experienced before. He was even stronger than the Quincy who forced him on this path. 3,900 is where his sprp sat, as he gave a wordless battle cry. His own corpse, the one that had died moments prior, was left on the ground, as he flew up, pushing off the ground with the combination of his Bladed Chains, as well as his Grasp of the Dead.

He moved like a serpent through the sky, twisting and maneuvering in strange ways. He acknowledged the words of the Akki. He understood his name was said. And he most certainly understood that he was being insulted. Unfortunately, he could not hear anything else. "SPEAK UP YOU HOLLOW REJECT! YOU'RE TOO FAR AWAY!" His voice, as loud as it was, would probably barely be auditable over the roars of his beasts, both in the air, and on the ground. There was no shortage of noise on the seventh layer today. As the newly formed winged beasts charged to the Akki, Kitai stood above the second crater he had produced, with one chain touching the ground for him.

He knew he had to stick close to his body, so he used his now nearly hundred fifty feet chains to carve out a section of the ground. A ball of whatever the ground was made of was pulled out, roughly the same size of the chains in width. The strength the chains possessed was equal to their cutting power. It went over his head for a split second, before it was launched at the fish-like Hellion, at a speed of 600. Kitai wanted to see the stupid thing do splat, or drown in a mountain of dirt. Or was that just burring him alive? Questions for smart Kitai. Who was due to come back any moment now.

At this point, Orobas was not going to be holding back much longer. They were seconds away from unleashing everything they possibly could, and lord only knew how long they'd have left in this skirmish from there. That said, once that happened, they'd be on a time limit. Was that something they could really afford to do? They'd have to think on it for the time being. Surely there had to be another way to deal with this monstrosity of a power-hungry Saika. Surely there'd be a way to put this man in his place.

As they began to walk forward and scratched open a wound on their hand, and watched a massive ball of mud hurdle toward them, Orobas simply held out that injured hand, as a an orb of black fire and flesh began to form, and promptly fire from his hand at speeds matching that of the ball of mud. As the much smaller orb made contact with the ball of mud, it promptly detonated, sending chunks of mud absolutely everywhere afterward. Now that one problem was dealt with, they had only one more to look at for the time being.

As each one of these bat beasts flew towards them, they had a pretty easy way of dealing with them; Kage no Kiba. Taking an orb of reiatsu into their hand and having the spell coat their fingers to form claws, Orobas simply clawed through each bat with these 2250 Reiatsu Strength strikes, launching out one of these finger beams each to deal with one bat individually, and launching the final one in Kitai's direction.

Ripping off two more chunks of flesh from his shoulders, these ones taking a few seconds longer to regenerate due to having to disable and then immediately reactivate his skin defense, Orobas tossed the chunks into the air as two more pods were formed right nearby the other two that had been set up originally. Taking the time to spawn out four more horrors, Orobas began to focus their reiatsu upon themselves, while maintaining this distance from Kitai; they'd made their decision, and an all-out war was about to begin.

As their skin began to shift and mold more, taking on a much different form, their reiatsu flared around them in tremendous bursts, causing not only the newly created horrors to be what was effectively supercharged into a much, much stronger state, but also caused six bodies from the hellions kitai had originally wiped off the face of the ring to reanimate and mutate into horrors; albeit weaker ones, but horrors nonetheless. Gripping one of them by the throat, Orobas forced the beast into his own chest cavity in order to consume it, further fueling the Gluttony that had been brought about over them, much like the same that Kitai had been going through for the time being.

Now having a small army to back them up, Orobas deemed it was time to go on the offensive. Sprinting, or more slithering, toward Kitai at the fastest possible speeds they could while their horrors followed in tow, Orobas began to devise a plan. They knew exactly how they needed to take care of the Saika, it was only a matter of actually being able to do so in the most efficient way possible. Luckily, they had the opening to do so, and hopefully the ability to do so effectively.

Taking the time to once again close the distance between the two of them with Placidus, appearing right in Kitai's face, the Akki both forced an eye to open up on their chest, and held an arm out in front of them; Eye of Lucifer was merely the security to make sure this little maneuver landed; it wasn't something they heavily relied on for the time, especially if Kitai had been predisposed to the technique in the past. That said, this wasn't the stopping point for Orobas. Launching a plethora of tentacles from his outstretched palm, looking to pierce a clean forty feet through the saika should it hit and reel him back in to Orobas, the Akki was going to do what the could in order to put an end to this fight.

Tearing another hole in their arm and in turn grunting in pain for a blood sacrifice, Orobas held their extra hand directly Kitai's chest, should he have been impaled via these tentacles, and spoke an incantation mentally for a spell they've already used multiple times, once again with the goal to entrap the two; Kurohitsugi. If they'd managed to snare the Saika, they'd release him the moment that the black walls had formed around the two of them; once they could guarantee he was trapped inside with them.

From there, it was just a matter of letting the spell do its work. They were confident that they could power through a spell that strong just due to the natural skin defense that Envainar possessed, so even if Kitai did manage to escape the Kurohitsugi this gave Orobas a chance to think about how to follow up the moment the walls went down. If Kitai were still in there, though, then it was a matter of seeing how the Saika could hold up after taking another massive spell like that.

{Rising of Rlyeh}In Quinta Etapa, Orobas' final body technique, upon activating for a staggering cost of 2000 reiatsu, begins to build Dissonant Whispers. These Dissonant Whispers are gained for every horror summoned, every horror consumed, and every horror detonated. Each instance of these events builds one Whisper each. Orobas can have up to 100 Whispers at any given point. Each Whisper gained causes the area around Orobas to slowly begin to corrupt with the same Eldritch energy that his horrors give off. The ground beneath Orobas' feet will slowly begin to infest with unholy life, writhing horrid tentacles rising from beneath the ground, and anything and everything in the area slowly giving into the corruption. For every 2 Dissonant Whispers Orobas has, this area of effect increases 1 foot, starting at 0 feet and eventually growing as large as 50 feet in diameter. Every horror currently in the area of these whispers is immediately pushed to Class 1, and gains a “type”. Any foe within this area is immediately afflicted with Eldritch Decay, which continues to refresh every single post that they remain inside of this area. This specific affliction of Eldritch Decay bypasses any ranks of Poison Resist that those in the area might have had. Every living being that dies within this area is immediately absorbed, granting the benefits of Myriad of Many Faces, and spawns a Class 8 horror from the dead body. These Class 8 horrors are not bumped up to Class 1 through Rising of R’lyeh, but can be fused together in order to reach that point, and further bolster Class 1 horrors currently summoned.

{Eye of Lucifer}

On the user's chest, an eye suddenly appears and opens up. This eye is not human by any means. The eye is indescribable. Neither colors nor even the emotions and look to the eye can be described. All that can be recognized is that it is an eye. During use of this technique, those who look upon the eye will suffer. None can look upon it. If they did not have emotions, they will suddenly have emotions. If they could not understand or process them, they will suddenly be able to. And they will be made to suffer. Fear, anxiety, terror, worry, despair, pain, hopelessness, loss, agony, suffering. All of these will be felt at their highest forms. As if everything they ever cared about is lost. As if everyone they ever loved is murdered. As if they are being skinned alive while burned and broiled in acid and then frozen. It cannot even be truly described. To look upon the eye is an agony unlike any other. And yet, once looking at the eye, looking away becomes difficult. Thought and focus become impossible given the pain. And closing ones eyes becomes impossible. Even reflexes and instinct stop working. Even a split second of exposure to this technique results in that unimaginable, almost paralyzing pain.

{Evisceration}
In Segunda Etapa onwards, Orobas gains more fine-tuned control over their body and can weaponize themselves to a fairly potent extent. For a cost of 150 reiatsu, sharpened tentacles are launched from Orobas' abdomen, impaling anything up to 20 feet ahead of him. Upon reaching their maximum distance, these tentacles withdraw, attempting to pull anything impaled inside of Orobas. This grapple attempt can be resisted and broken out of with a superior Strength, compared to Orobas' OS. On its own, this technique is not very strong, but it scales as new Saisei Oni forms are utilized.

In Tercera Etapa, these tentacles are increased to a range of 40 feet, and their cost is upped to 200 reiatsu if this extra range is used. In addition, these tentacles no longer need to be launched solely from Orobas' chest, but can instead be launched from anywhere on the body.

In Cuarta Etapa, Orobas is now given the option to forgo a multitude of fine-pointed tentacles, and replace them with one large, thick tentacle spike. This spike is 40 feet long, and follows the same grappling system as the standard technique. This spike must always be launched from the chest, but this spike can cause incredibly heavy bleeding resisted by a 2 in Bleeding Tolerance. Using this thick spike costs 250 Reiatsu.

In Quinta Etapa, all of Orobas' tentacle spikes will now inflict the target with Eldritch Decay if they end up pierced.

[Kitai Yoru]

Kitai knew madness. Madness coursed through his veins like blood, consumed his every waking thought, and was what forced him to strive forwards, even in the face of impossible opposition. But there were things that even his near ruined psyche were unable to handle, as he was soon to find out. The abomination tore through the beasts he had sent forth, beams of flashing light cutting them down in the blink of an eye. One had been sent for Kitai, intent on doing the same to him, but it was easy to predict from this distance, and his chains shifted him to the side.

The akki destroyed the mountain of mud with ease. He'd anticipated it, planned for it. He popped his reiatsu ball into his mouth for the third time this fight. He was burning through more reiatsu than he'd ever had before. It was starting to get painful, like coming down from a runner's high. More over, his Wrath had cooled. His limbs felt like they were made of iron, as his physical abilities were cut in half. He didn't know how long that would last, as he'd never lost his rage outside one of his corpses before. Hopefully his power would restore itself soon.

Sadly, the Akki was not content on giving him the chance to see what that would come around, as it was on the attack. It, much like Kitai, was capable of spawning creatures. Kitai might have noticed sooner, if not for a certain technique, as the thing was literally ripping off chunks of flesh from its form. And consuming them? It had and admittedly cool chest mouth, which it was using to consume a fleshling that it created. Why would it do that? Why would he do the same to his own monsters. Gluttony? Odds were fairly high, given how powerful this ugly bastard was.

Converting his own puppets as well, as the beasts of the fog were getting back up and marching alongside it. "How dare they..." He said with a muted anger. He knew that they were mindless, but it annoyed him to see another turn them against him with such ease. He needed something to tame them in the future. If there was a future, anyway. Kitai made his chains dance, as the rose up, about to strike at the traitorous beasts. And then his vision was blocked. The Akki had teleported before him. His eyes widened, and he tried to throw himself backward, but then he saw... it.

Calling it an eye would be an insult; to other eyes. This thing was... indescribable. No words could capture the pure and utter horror Kitai felt when he was forced to gaze upon the eye. His mind shuddered at the mind-numbing terror this thing was inflicting on his already broken mind. To call it evil would be an insult. To call it the worst thing he had ever seen in either life or death would be an understatement. This. This was truly a technique born from the darkest pits of Hell. He questioned how any being could come up with such a monstrous, sadistic ability, when he remembered that there was a throne for this realm. And there was only one who had ever sat upon it.

He was sure he had moved backward. The fear alone he felt would insure that. That was the second reason he had managed to survive the barage of tentacles that the akki had shot out. The first reason, was that it was falling. The Black Fog was still active beneath Kitai, and that stripped any ability for beings to use airground, a fact that the Akki likely hadn't known beforehand. That said, Kitai couldn't avert his gaze, and the tentacles were numerous enough to ensnare him regardless. They dragged him, bringing him closer and closer to that infernal eye.

"NO! NONONONONONO! GET THAT THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME! GET IT AWAY!GETAWAYGETAWAYGETAWAY! I'VE GOT TO-" 'TELEPORT YOU DUMB BASTARD!' A voice screamed out in his mind, breaking his terror for the briefest of moments. Orobas had activated Kurohitsugi, ensuring that Kitai would die for certain this time. And just as the blades were about to come down and end Kitai for good, he vanished. The very instant the blades would have turned him into swiss cheese, he had disappeared; gone from the unholy grasp of the akki.

A hundred feet away, Kitai's previous body woke up with a start. He searched for the original, before hearing his frantic cries. Looking up, he saw himself bound in several dozen tentacles, being dragged towards the akki. From this position, he couldn't see what it was he was looking at, but he knew it was nothing good. The two shared a mental connection, bound to one another by their soul. The Corpse was just a fragment of the real Kitai, but separated as they were, that didn't mean they couldn't be reunited.

So, as the Kurohitsugi started taking form, Kitai C called out to the remainder of his soul. Begging him to break free of whatever this was. Kitai had an unbreakable will, he'd told himself this many a time. This eye put that to the test, but in an instant, Kitai reunited with the missing piece of his soul, in his old body. He fell to his hands and knees, gasping for breath. His sudden freedom from that evil caused him to cry tears of joy. The deepest of fears brought on the highest of joys. He couldn't remember a moment in his life where he felt happier.

He couldn't look at the monster again. He'd have to close his eyes if that thing even dared to bring itself within a hundred feet of him. He needed to kill it. He needed it dead, if only for his own sanity. Reiatsu pooled in his chest, as he looked up to the fading Kurohitsugi. He wouldn't give this beast any quarter any longer. Cutback Assault exploded out of his form, making it as large as he could. As it traveled, he forced his fog to create a beast once more. He could barely tell what it was that he made, as he consumed it before it could even finish forming. His Gluttony was complete.

But that didn't mean he was done. Four chains, now close to two hundred feet in length each, started to kick around. They whipped around like living wind, cutting at anything and everything within fifty feet of the Lunatic. His body was diminished, ravaged from the effects of wrath, but he could still fight. If the beasts weren't smart enough, and dared to try and brave through the chains, they would be torn to ribbon in less than a second. These could and with cut through anything with less than 4,800 os, now matching Kitai's full power.

Having been dragged to the ground due to that damned fog, Orobas did what they could to still maintain a good grip on Kitai via their tentacles. Thankfully, the corruptive properties were likely already beginning to eat away at the Saika's soul. Hopefully it'd be enough for the time being, as they were starting to have a bit of trouble consistently landing strikes against the Saika. Worst case scenario, if they'd need to pull a cheap trick in order to land a good hit then they absolutely would. This was about winning the fight, not about going about it fairly.

As Kitai remained petrified temporarily due to the eye now opened on Orobas' chest, they likely would've smiled had they been able to. They'd have to make note of how that worked on the Saika; it was good to see that not even other hellions were immune to the effects of that blasted technique. This was certainly going to come in handy. Knowing that, it'd be a tactical disadvantage to turn the damned thing off; that'd be wasting a perfectly good opportunity to continue to disable the Saika where they could.

As the many blades of Kurohitsugi began to continue to barrage against Orobas' Guard, they prepared to take a breather for a moment; spending that much reiatsu was starting to take its toll on the Akki, and they'd need a "refresher" of sorts in order to get into a more comfortable position. As the walls began to dissipate a few short seconds later, they made haste in using the same step technique they had been in order to to clear a little bit of distance between the two of them, and moving Orobas back to their horrors, fully prepped to consume at least one of them.

Gripping one of the weaker ones by the throat, Orobas began to crush the "bones" in the monster's body, causing its body to come to a rather quick halt. Lashing their tentacles out around the beast's body, Orobas began to crush and pulverize every bit of muscle, tendon, and bone the creature had into nothing but dust underneath their comparatively powerful grip. By the time they were finished treating this horror as awfully as they had, the beast was nothing more than a small ball of flesh.

Taking that ball, Orobas began to open up their chest cavity to throw the beast inside, when they had a wonderful idea. Before anything happened there, they took one of the many sinner's corpses that had been lying around on the ground, specifically the body of a Hason that Kitai had killed prior to the beginning of their fight, and shoved the ball of flesh inside of the corpse. Within a second, the corpse began to move. Once again, Orobas began to pulverize this corpse's neck. Thankfully, this corpse would come in handy later on.

From there, it was the same crushing process that took no more than a second either time around in order to obliterate the beast's body, and shape them into effectively a two-hundred pound basketball. Taking this orb of flesh, they finally began to toss it into their chest mouth, and swallowed the beast whole. Lord, how they enjoyed being able to restore themselves off of their horrors, it significantly helped to reduce the amount of strain that was put on their body over the period of time.

After finishing that, they were just barely in time for the wave of reiatsu that Kitai had launched from himself; they needed to act fast. Speaking the incantation mentally of a more defensive than offensive Hado, Orobas began to cause absolutely massive torrents of wind to flare up around them. Making sure they stayed perfectly still the entire time as these winds ravaged through their horrors albeit entirely silently, Orobas counted on these winds to help disperse the wave of reiatsu that had been coming their way.

Thankfully, these winds were more than enough to protect them from the wave of reiatsu. As the winds continued to flurry around the perfectly still Akki, the wave that had passed by them was dissipated rather effectively. Now all that remained was for Orobas to remain in place for the last few seconds of this technique; moving a muscle would've resulted in rather deep gashes all across their body that they weren't ready to deal with.

As the technique finished, it released outward in an explosive force and volume, one that would've easily caused significant pain to anyone other than the two hellions involved in the fight. Both of them could've practically ignored this, thankfully. Now that their defense was resolved, it was time to deal with Kitai. Taking the time to remain on the ground this time instead of hovering, Orobas began to slither along the ground as fast as they could possibly have moved toward the Saika. Doing so was naturally on the draining side, and even as their stamina was beginning to run thin, they didn't care and pressed on where they could.

Once they were within 100 feet of the Saika, provided they were able to get that far uninterrupted, Orobas once again looked to close the distance between themselves and the Saika via Placidus, moving at 5625 speed once more to close the distance. Lord, this was beginning to get exhausting. In order to help aid against those same skin techniques that Kitai had used before to burn the Akki, Orobas prepared the same lower-numbered kido in order to strengthen the effects of their slashes; Kage no Kiba. As their claws were lined with reiatsu and they went in for a strike against Kitai, the goal was to release each and every blast of reiatsu in melee distance.

At the apex of the swing, Orobas once again spoke another incantation mentally, looking to trap Kitai in yet another one of these black boxes in order to hopefully obliterate the Saika once and for all. Growing ever tired, Orobas wasn't sure just how much longer they could keep up a fight at this high a caliber; surely the Saika had to have been tiring out too? It was genuinely hard to say, as they couldn't get a good view on him, other than a flared reiatsu signature from the rush of combat. Surely that had to have been enough for the time being, but they would've liked to see just how the Saika was holding up.

{Houkou Karasu}
Technique Name: [Hado #69: Houkou Karasu (Crow's Shriek)]

Technique Description and Effects:

As the Kidou activates, strong winds will begin to swirl around the caster, catching objects and projectiles. If the enemy's Reiastu Strength is 100 or less than the caster's, then the enemy's reiastu-based attacks will be dissipated in the raging winds. The thing that is offset is that while the winds are raging where the kidou is being cast will, the area will become virtually silent. After fifteen seconds the winds will blow outward on all sides, even above and below the caster in a no blind spot blast around them. The winds whip forward at speeds of 150 miles an hour. A side effect of the attack is that when the winds are unleashed, the winds will howl furiously. It will break the concentration of anyone with senses of 150+, and will shatter the ear drums of anyone with senses around 300.

How to use technique:

Simply state the kidou and stay still, It is absolutely imperative you stay still as moving into the path of the winds will slice deep gashes into the body.

Technique Drawbacks:

The same effect that will damage the enemy's senses also will damage the caster's senses, and even the caster's ally's senses. The caster also can not move, as the winds that are formed move fast enough to dissipate hardened reiastu, they can and will leave deep gashes on the body.

Incantation and Effect:

Incantation doubles the speed of the technique. ("It will descend, it will abscend, it will up-end. The end is coming, the word has fallen, the night has laid its toll. The clock spells midnight and the doom spells time, and the end will soon arrive. Worry not, little pigeon. Worry not, my minx, or my slave, or my wife, or my children. Worry not at all. You will not hear it coming. None of you will hear a thing.")

[Kitai Yoru]

The lunatic stood there, looking at the Akki, as he stood in a crater of his own making. What an impressive technique, he thought. It blocked and destroyed his assault with ease, and created silent winds. He couldn't see them, per say, but his limited energy sensory told him that there was something there. It was a lengthy technique, taking quite awhile to dissipate. The fact that the akki didn't try to charge after Kitai yet could only mean that it would be injured if it tried to move through the field of energy. That was fine with Kitai, as it gave him a moment to prepare himself.

He was running out of reiatsu so quickly. It was amazing how easily he could burn through the stuff. His entire body felt like it was on fire. Every breath was burned, and all he really wanted to do after this was sleep for a week. This reprieve of combat was almost torture for the saika, making him notice just how damaged he was. Still, he couldn't let that stop him. He wouldn't. A marble worth 2,000 reiatsu spawned in his fist, before his body dropped backwards. A new one quickly took its place, as his level one created him a new one. He had a feeling he'd need it.

The body he had revived through his level two quickly broke down, before fading away entirely. What was brought back once could not be brought back a second time. Even if it hadn't, his Black Fog would have consumed it in its stead. And this Black Fog was massive. Never before had Kitai seen one this size, covering the ground twenty five feet from him in any direction, fifty from end to end. The Black Fog was one that he had picked up from the Realm of Wrath, used as a way to defeat fools trying to kill him. It was the perfect trap for those who dedicated themselves to anger. Because either you killed yourself trying to fight the endless hoard of monsters...

Or you trapped yourself by teleporting inside, with no way out.

The Akki was one such being. Impatient in trying to kill Kitai, fell right for his trap. After the winds dispersed themselves in a sonic boom, the Akki used whatever step technique it had been using to teleport close to Kitai. That was the first mistake. It tried to claw at him with an ability, but was quickly assaulted by the chains that had been whipping around, seemingly for no reason. One by one, three of his chains slammed into it, wrapping it from head to toe in black iron, till not an ounce of flesh could be seen. He didn't want to risk looking at that eye again.

"You're predictable!" He told it, as the Kurohitsugi started to form for a third time. His last chain, the one attached to his right wrist swirled around his form, hovering a foot away from his body, as a dozen blades slammed and harmlessly impacted against the Chains of Hell. That ability was a powerful finishing move, one that had already killed him once in this fight. But that's the thing about finishing moves; they lose their effectiveness the more you use them, and 'third times the charm' was not the Akki's friend in this case.

With the Akki as bound as he could possibly make him, His last remaining chain unraveled itself after the technique ended, and shot out. It shot out towards the Blood Pool he had set up awhile ago. The thousand speed his body had affected the chain, and with the additional range that Grasp gave to him, he hauled both himself, and his new pet akki towards it. It was a but a moment, as Kitai practically flew into his personal blood jacuzzi, diving head first, before the akki on a rope went in with him.

In an instant, all his wounds were closed and healed. All his pains and aches were undone. And any diseases or plagues were cured. The pool was almost perfect in healing him. The only problem with it, as the akki would soon find out, was that it hurt. It hurt a lot. The pain was unbearable, because this technique was never designed to be something used to help people. This was a torture technique, designed to be used on someone who had been tortured for hours, reduced to a barely living lump of flesh, only to bring them back to a state where the process could be done all over again. Or, if torture tools weren't available, dunk a person in and out of this for the same effect, albeit less fun.

Kitai, not caring too much the pain he received, picked it up in an instant. It had proven invaluable to him since he's learned it. It has brought him back from the brink of death on several occasions, and might even save his ass here. He had decided to take a gamble on this. This akki was a caster type, preferring to either attack at a distance, be it either spells or minions, and only got close if he could land a finishing move like the black box. His was willing to bet that he wasn't actually that good at handling pain, so he dragged the both of them into the Blood Pool. If he was wrong about this, they'd both be fully healed, and he'd just keep him tied up in his chains.

If he was right... this might be the end of the fight. Kitai leapt out of the pool, holding the Hellion under with his chains. They weren't actually enough to pierce through the unthinkably durable skin it had, but that was fine. The chains were unbreakable, and would hold the akki until he decided to release him. He hoped this was something the Akki couldn't break out of, because otherwise he wouldn't be able to predict how this battle would go. It was an unfortunate fact, but Kitai respected the battle prowess of this abhorrent Hell beast. He spat into the Blood Pool at the thought, waiting for its next move.

As chains were beginning to circle around the Akki, they did absolutely nothing to resist the binding. They weren't even going to try to break out of the grasp of the chains that, were beginning to pierce through the skin-level defense they had active at the time. They frankly were going to show absolutely no resistance, and this rang true even as Kurohitsugi began to finish moving. This, however, was due to once simple mistake on the Saika's part; they had made a grave miscalculation.

Placidus. A "stepping" technique that did not actually have any stepping involved. Placidus was much unlike that of Shunpo or Sonido; it was much, much more effective; Placidus was not simple high-speed movement. It was nigh-instantaneous teleportation. Blinking out of existence for a split second and repositioning themselves a solid two hundred feet away from the Saika, Orobas had simply made the decision to send in one of their horrors as he began to make haste toward the Blood Pool.

As the horror arrived upon Kitai, it made an effort to show no offensive action in the slightest. In fact, it had been stripped of its limbs, save for its feet, in order to try to make an effort to show this. Orobas genuinely wasn't looking to make a feint-attack here, and was relying on Kitai to pick up on that, now that he had been restored to peak performance. Upon arrival, a small section in the horror's midriff began to open up, and form that of a mouth. It began to speak, though the words were likely unintelligible to most. Thankfully, Kitai had experienced a modicum of eldritch whisperings over the course of the fight, so there was a good chance he'd be able to understand.

As the horror finished speaking, it simply collapsed dead in its tracks, and began to disintegrate into nothing but ash. Orobas had done what they could to make their point. If the Saika wished to continue fighting, they wouldn't stop them, and would still continue. That said, the offer was on the table. Truth be told, Orobas did absolutely respect the Saika, and saw immense value in keeping him around. He only hoped the bargaining chip of a large-scale attack would be enough to entice the Lunatic.

[Kitai Yoru]

The words that that flowed from the akki's mouth were something that nearly caused him physical pain. Not what was said, per say, but the words themselves. His voice felt like claws digging into his brain, tearing apart what little remained of his sanity. It was the kind of thing that would drive lesser men to madness. What was actually said, while he couldn't technically understand the things he said, translated more directly to his mind, the message coming across almost telepathically. He couldn't tell whether to feel pleasure from the statement that the Hellion made, or sickening disgust.

Since both of their final gambits failed, it was calling for... not a truce, but a draw. Both of them were getting to the point where some bottom feeder might be able to swoop in and take out whomever did managed to win this bout. Any victory between the two of them would be pyrrhic. Since this thing could teleport even through his Black Fog, and through any bindings that Kitai forced upon it, he could not lock it down. Because his reiatsu was so low, he could not effectively use Combat Cutback to break past the nigh unbreakable skin this beast had. On the other side, Kitai had the raw power to break through any ability the beast launched at him, and have the potential to outlast him in he conserved his reiatsu just right.

It was a tricky thing to try and guess. It was like trying to guess whether or not the quantity of Kitai's attacks and reiatsu could outperform the quality of all the nonsense that an akki could do. He could try to continue the fight, but that could easily get him killed if he wasn't certain. And he very much wasn't certain. This fight was also pointless, in the end. Much like the akki guessed, Kitai had started this conflict for nothing but the sake of blowing something up, and he'd accomplished that goal ten times over. Craters large enough to fill city blocks, over five hundred thousand dead, and hundreds of Black Fog Beasts running around till someone managed to kill them all.

And now he had managed to force this Akki to call for a stalemate. He was offering a partnership as well, for an invasion of the Soul Society as well, along with a myriad of other things that he refused to even consider. He didn't want to be a ruler of Hell. He didn't want to be in Hell at all. He knew why he was there, but he still thought that the crime didn't fit the punishment. No one, and he meant no one, deserved an eternity of punishment. A second chance should be afforded to those who sought out redemption.

Kitai spat to the side, not once taking his eyes off the Hellion. "I'll agree to call this a draw, but don't expect me to shake the hand of a Hellion. I respect your power. That's it." He glared at the abomination, a sneer visible on his face. "As to ruling this place... No. I refuse. Keep your offer, I just want my freedom. If you want me to invade those shinigami pricks with you, I get first dibs on their magic crap." He told him, pulling out a card from his jacket pocket. "Give me a call if you want to go through with it. Don't bother me otherwise, or I'll hunt you down and kill you for real." He told him, as he used his chains to make an exit, leaving the akki in the ruined remains of the Seventh Layer.
