Can't I Get A Break! (JTT, Teresa & Jeff)

It was an average day in Hell, in other words something was always lurking around trying to kill or eat one of the weaker beings while said weaker beings tried to remain unnoticed by the stronger. Jeff was one of those weaker beings, keeping to the edge of sides of the rocky landscape he is currently in, avoiding all bigger beings as much as possible. That is until he see's one opening a portal and sticking it's head in, taking the opportunity Jeff sneaks up behind it and waits for it to pull it's head back out before diving through.



Landing face first into a pile of white pristine sand Jeff gets up and looks at where he came from, the portal closes as he turns to look at it blocking any attempt to follow Jeff and any ability to go back. Looking around at this place his memories start nagging him, I know this place, why do I know this place?, only to then realize where he was. No,no,no,no, not again, was his thought before audibly screaming out at the sky, "Why can't I go where I want to, now I back in the one place even more likely to send me back to the spawning pool! Do you know how annoying it is sneaking past the Guardians!"



Finishing his little shouting match with the sky he turns to look around and see if there are any Hollows nearby, after not noticing any he moves towards a small patch of trees in front of a little cave. "Well, might as well since I have nothing better to do", arriving at the location he doesn't notice anything inside so he decides to sit down and relax for a moment. Well, I guess I just have to make the best out of this situation, sitting down with his back against the cave wall, looking out at the wide open desert.



Whats that?, he notices something moving out in the distance, to small to make out clearly but big enough to know it's moving in this general direction. I hope it isn't something tedious, I actually feel like relaxing right now, although if it does anything I hope it can at least make a fight last. Ensuring his cloak and mask are solidly in place he remains sitting, waiting to see whatever this thing wants if it ends up coming towards him. Letting his chains lay plainly on the ground he also wants whatever it is to know what he is, that is if they have any knowledge of Saika and Hell beings, knowing that they would get nothing by eating him.

[Teresa]

Wandering throughout the sands was something that Teresa had truly come to hate in such a short amount of time. The thin, lengthy Hollow couldn’t contain her hate towards everything around her, unlike the typical Hollow that at this stage was mainly mindless and could eat anything. Teresa was the exact opposite. She retained the majority of her intelligence from when she had been a human yet couldn’t stomach the shit here in this desert. She’d tried on several occasions already, going days without food causing her body to feel weak, no more pain than anything else. It felt like her stomach was going to eat the rest of her at any moment.

Right now the pain was grave enough that Teresa was hunched over trying to deal with the painful pulses that coursed through her from her damned stomach. Nothing she tried worked! Eating other Hollows was pointless. Her taste wouldn’t allow it, they all tasted like rancid fesses. The sensation, taste and texture of it all was just revolting to the point that Teresa could barely force down a single mouthful before her body attempted to vomit it back up. She was at a disadvantage in this desert from the start, she had to find something else, a way out of this desert or something better to eat. There had to be something better right?

That’s when Teresa heard the noise. The sound of a scream coming from a way's away. Moving towards where she’d heard the voice Teresa was determined to at least find out what was the source and if it was tasty. After several minutes Teresa came to just another section of this damned endless white desert. About to give up on it Teresa saw the sight of a rock mountain like area on the sands. This was new she hadn’t come across anything like this until now. Surely whatever screamed had to be there right. Teresa began to walk over towards the new location and would see the cave easily. Walking into it the only thing Teresa could ponder was if there might be some sort of animal inside.

What she found inside the cave was someone else, someone that was hiding what they looked like behind a cloak and mask. Teresa hadn’t ever seen anything like this although that wasn’t surprising with how recently she had just gotten out from her prison. Giving the individual a once over Teresa could see the chains, but didn’t know the significance. The biggest thing being the white mask that hides the face. “Just another Hollow, tastes like shit.” Teresa showing no interest began to turn and would wander out of the cave in search of something else coming to her own conclusion that this was a different Hollow who would taste worse than they looked.

[Jeff Franklin]

Whatever it was that was coming near Jeff was ready for anything, everything except the specific interaction that did happen. This thing he now knows to be a Hollow walked into the cave mouth a little before stopping and staring at Jeff. The next thing he knows it calls HIM a Hollow, a nasty tasting Hollow before turning around and trying to leave. "Woah, woah, woah, I am NOT a Hollow, I probably still taste awfully but I am not one of those creatures, though thinking about it I may be worse."

Standing up Jeff looks upward at the Hollow in front of him, "Now, are ya going to introduce yourself or am I gonna have to get it from you." Taking a step forward he pours reiatsu into the the Gate seal, Hell reiatsu burst out of his feet opening up a portal in front of him and making his step forward through it 750 speed. The moment the first portal opened up a second one opened up twenty feet behind Teresa, blocking her from getting out of the cave without first dealing with Jeff. Sure, he now has to deal with an awful burning sensation in his feet and the fact he can feel Hell's presence closer than it was, regardless he steps out of the portal. 

Holding up his hand palm forward, Jeff tries to get this being to first talk, not opposed to fighting but he tries a diplomatic approach first. True, diplomatic is not his strong suit, still he knows he might as well try.  "Now, are you gonna be peaceful with this or are you gonna start a tussel I'm really gonna like." Chains swinging while his hand is raised.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):

Black flame sprouts from the bottom of the user’s feet, this allows standing in the air (regardless of location as it uses Hell reiatsu) and can be used to open and use Hell portals in order to increase a single step by 15 times the users speed up to 40 feet (a portal opens where the user exits). These portals open immediately and closes instantly after the user enters/exits them.



How to use technique (How is it activated?):

Pouring Reiatsu into the Gate seal of the user’s soul which holds the portion of hell while concentrating on the effect forces Hell Reiatsu into the users feet.



Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)

While using this Technique the feet feel as if they are on fire and this sensation stops two personal posts after use, the user also feel as if they walk through fire every time a Hell portal is opened and stepped through. Every time this is used the amount of posts that can be outside of Hell is reduced by one and if used to stand in the air it reduces the amount of posts outside of Hell by half a post after for each post after initial activation. Must have mastered Merge and Seal. This cost 50 Reiatsu to activate (for poth Hell Portal and standing in air) and 25 Reiatsu for each additional post.

Teresa had no interest in eating another Hollow, she already knew that the moment it’s flesh managed to touch her tongue she’d have to exert more effort to force it down her throat. The only way she would eat a Hollow was on the verge of starvation which in all honesty wasn’t that far off. That’s why she wasted no time on this one turning her back and walking towards the exit of the cave. It seemed though that this individual had other plans.

Although she could hear him exclaim that he wasn’t a Hollow, Teresa didn’t really believe them. They had the whit mask and were here in the white sands so that's all the proof she felt was necessary. They didn’t help their case if they wanted Teresa to stay though by mentioning that they probably tasted just as bad as a Hollow. So if he was telling the truth and he wasn’t a Hollow there still was no reason to stay in this cave. Did he just expect her to waste her time on someone random.

Whoever it was though gave a quick response by utilizing some sort of technique that enabled it to appear in between Teresa and the exit. Occurring so fast that Teresa hadn’t been able to perceive it. “Fast. Likely dangerous keep up guard.” Teresa thought to herself. This was a first though for her, she hadn’t yet fought a different Hollow. The weird thing though was why this entity wanted to know her. Acting as if this was something important.

“I have no interest in eating you. Shit should be ignored, not stared at or played with.”

Just like that Teresa would vanish executing Ulcera allowing her to essentially allow her to accomplish the same thing this other Hollow had just done. Teresa knew she was right, this one was definitely a Hollow since it made a move with something so similar to what she can do. Disappearing and then coming back into view just in the outside of the cave twenty feet behind the loud mouth. Teresa was starting to think this just might turn into a fight, but wouldn’t start it herself.

That thing did NOT just walk away from me!, relatively annoyed now he uses the same technique to step out of a portal directly in front of Teresa this time. "Ok, I see you want to do this the fun way instead of the boring way." Yes, he was annoyed for a second but the rush from the thought of fighting created a grin on his face. Well, I can't complain, if I gotta fight at least it's against something that may possibly provide a challenge. The burning sensation he gained from the portal starts over, unlike the sensation of walking through fire when he uses those portals.

Quickly wrapping his left hand and forearm in his sinners chain, specifically the one attached to his left wrist, preparing for the battle that is about to unfold. "Hope you last long, I wouldn't want this to be quick, otherwise how else am I going to experience a good beating." Throwing his chained fist downward at the Hollows left leg hoping to get her down on one leg even if only for a moment. If this was successful he would then gab her back of the head and bring her masked face closer to his before saying, "Do you wanna know what I am? I'm a Saika, the soul of a human condemned to the pit for all eternity and the place I end up escaping to is this place." 

Taking a step back he allows her to regain her footing if what he did was successful, if he wasn't than instead he would jump upward after making the attack at her leg and grab her head with his right hand while gripping as much of her head with what he could manage with his left hand. Doing that he would then headbutt her with all 63 strength he possesses before saying the same thing if he succeeded in his attack earlier. Finishing that statement he would drop and take a step back waiting for her reaction assuming either one of these attempts worked.

[Teresa]

Teresa was certain that she had hammered the point home by stepping past this Hollow, she had no intention of fighting her simply because eating her wasn’t something Teresa wanted. M it didn’t take more than a moment though for this individual to appear right in front of her again just like last time. It was fairly obvious by the actions alone that Teresa it seems wasn’t going to have a choice. Not the best thing considering her stomach was already running fairly low, she could tell that her hunger was going to get worse soon.

Expanding energy in order to fight this Hollow wasn’t the right call, but when choices are stripped away the only thing left is to play by ear. This was being forced on her. The first fight that Teresa was going to have against someone else. Not just a random animal soul that’d be hollowfied. Someone that was going to think things out and potentially have much more combat experience then herself. A match up that quite easily could be against her.

This Hollow didn’t try to hide what it’s intentions were just prior to everything starting. By wrapping his hand and arm in chains. Teresa wasn’t certain why this Hollow had a chain, but knew from basic common sense that getting hit with that was going to hurt more now. Something that she experienced in the moment that followed as she wasn’t quite good enough to evade the attack on her leg which caused her to fall backwards onto the floor of the cave. This Hollow didn’t waste any time though grabbing her by her head and getting in real close to her.

This individual began to speak right away stating that he was something different from a Hollow. Something that he claimed to be from the pit. Teresa giving him no time to act on anything else made her first move against this foe. Attempting to dig her sharp fingers into the flesh of his legs. Teresa knew she was leaving her face wide open, but wasn’t going to give this guy the chance to capitalize on it. So the moment that her fingers would begin to dig through his cloak Teresa’s blank white mask would get closer as she attempts to slam her mask against the one looking down on her now.

[Jeff Franklin]

Going almost perfectly as planned Jeff managed to tell what he was and where he came from, it seemed not to persuade this Hollow however. While Jeff did have his face close to hers giving him a good opportunity to attack if he so pleased, he didn't take this chance, preferring to instead maybe put some fear into her. Teresa didn't seem to care as she immediately went to attack Jeff's leg with her very sharp claws, knowing at this point talking was completely pointless he instead changed up his tactics. 

Grabbing his cloak before she shredded them he lifts it up and almost sticks his leg into her oncoming claws as if he wants her to damage his leg and cause him severe pain. The moment her claws began to pierce into his flesh Jeff would let out a laugh, looking into the sockets he assumed to be this Hollows eye's before saying, "If ya don't wanna talk then you gotta butter me up first before I start fighting to win!" While Teresa has her claws sunk into him Jeff raises his chained fist and smacks her in the face before then driving it down into the wrist of the hand she used to attack with.

If the attack was successful Jeff would pull himself out of her claws as fast as he could using Hell Step again to gain some distance, specifically about fifteen feet of distance. If he escaped and gained some distance he would then laugh at her saying, "I hope your prepared to dance with me, I haven't had some fun for some time now." Once again using Hell Step, entering and exiting the portal putting his feet at face level with Teresa, the black flames stay lit this time as he rears his left foot back and tries to smash her in the mask with his 63 strength.

If she does anything to avoid this attack Jeff would just walk backwards in the air trying to stay out of her immediate reach. If he succeeds he will also move to stay out of her immediate reach and in both cases he will giggle while moving back. This might just be harder than that scorpion, if only because this one seems to have more of it's mind. The feeling of his skin burning from walking through the portal is now gone but the continued sensation of his feet feeling and being ablaze will consist for awhile yet, he also now has to deal with the throbbing thanks to the holes that his leg now contains. Licking his lip under his mask he speaks up, "Now, I want you to hurt me with everything you got, otherwise what's the point of fighting you."

[Teresa]

Teresa, still fairly certain that the individual currently on top of her right now was a Hollow, had come to the conclusion that perhaps he was even more insane than the majority of Hollows she had come across in the past. Of course that wasn’t many of them as her time of individuality had only just begun, but virtually all of them acted like mindless beasts driven by instinct while overtaken by hunger. Something that Teresaq knew if she didn’t get a grip on would claim her as well. This guy though she could feel it, the sensation of his legs being pushed against her fingers causing them to dig in just a bit deeper. Definitely the actions of someone that was seeking pain.

No this wasn’t an individual that Tetresa was looking to best in combat as such a thing was a pointless waste of energy in her view. Unlike many Hollows, Teresa wasn’t interested in proving her superiority, yet. She knew the danger of getting hunger and allowing it to infect the rest of you, so that was her major priority. She could subjugate everyone else later once she had a full stomach. When this guy raised his hand up it was obvious what he had planned and thus easy for Teresa to react fast enough. She did so by pulling up on his legs while her fingers remained embedded in his flesh forcing him up further onto her and causing his hand to slam against the floor of the cave.

She didn’t have to do anything to get this guy off of her though as he did that himself in the moment that followed. Just like that though he did the exact same thing he had done before in order to accelerate his motion. Teresa getting up onto her feet only took a moment eyt this guy vanished and then reappeared right in front of her yet off the ground. Rearing his foot back Teresa realized what was going on, bringing her arms up just in time to block the kick aimed at her face with her forearms. Teresa thought about perhaps trying to stab this fool with her horns, but didn’t have the time to actually accomplish it as he backed off again.

“I wonder if he’ll just tire himself out?” Teresa thought to herself as she realized just how much this guy was staying in motion. So far he had been moving non stop. The energy levels of a child with extreme ADHD after being given an IV of straight sugar. The only thing that Teresa knew was that this was a waste of her time and this guy couldn’t get anymore annoying. “You seriously don’t understand what’s going on here do you? Some sort of mentally deficient masochist. You’re wasting my time so get out of the way.”

"Don't understand what's going on, apparently I know more about what's happening here than you", Whispering under his breath when he said that to her, "Which is actually surprising." Listening to this Hollow throw out pointless attacks with her word's Jeff leans his head back to give a rowdy laugh, "I am certainly not mentally deficient but am absolutely a masochist, specifically a sadomasochist. Wasting your time? You have nearly ignored me this whole time until I started throwing non-fatal blows at you."

Standing there in the air with his feet still lit up with the black flames Jeff Decides he might as well see how strong this Hollow is, test the waters and try improving himself as well, after all how often does he get the chance to fight an opponent of similar ability to him? Running forward he makes it look as if he is about to go for another kick but when he reaches to be about five feet from Teresa he begins walking upwards as if he was climbing stairs. He climbs to be about ten feet above her, looking down at her while squatting, "Well now, let's just see how much of my time I'm wasting here."

That's when he does something unusual, Jeff starts running facing downward at Teresa as fast as he can manage, cloak blowing backwards as the rushing air pushes on it, chains rattling behind as if they are trying to fall in order to keep up with their prisoner. before completely reaching her Jeff shoves his feet to propel his body to flip and land on Teresa's left side before bring his chained hand up to attempt an uppercut. Aiming for the chin area of this Hollow Jeff sinks his complete strength into it. 

If this was to succeed Jeff would try to move behind Teresa while keeping as low to the ground as he can manage, doing this in order to avoid being an easy target for this tall Hollow. If he were to fail then Jeff would still attempt to do the same thing even with more risk of taking a hit as he moves to be in the position he desire's. If he manages to get behind Teresa then Jeff would try to full body tackle her to the ground, using this to see which of the two has superior strength and will try to keep her there before deciding his next course of action.

“I’ve nothing to gain from you so why should I bother to be around you? A true idiot.”

Teresa was really starting to get fed up with this Hollow. He wasn’t giving up even after the minor wounds that Teresa managed to inflict on him. The fresh Hollow couldn’t understand the reasoning behind this one's actions. This individual wasn’t going to taste good, if he didn’t taste good then there was no reason to eat him. If she wasn’t going to eat him then she didn’t value him. Who spends time with something without value? One thing was certain though, he spoke much more than Teresa.

She couldn’t be surprised anymore though as this idiot just continues to prove himself a fool in the eyes of the Hollow he insists on fighting. Intense levels of frustration begin to course throughout Teresa in a manner similar to how the hunger harmed her daily. Coming at her again this time though placing more intent on his lower body this Hollow seemed to come at her with the intention of kicking at her face, yet managed to step on the air and just stand above almost hitting his head on the roof of the cave.

Teresa looked up and could see the idiot rush down towards him that made her think that he was going to try and tackle her right to the floor of the cave. Just another attempt from her view to get her down and then pound away at her Mask. He’d just tried it and failed to land the hit so it made sense that he was going to try it again. Stepping forward though Teresa would slip away before he managed to touch her, vanishing just as she did before yet this time, not reappearing.

The reason being that Teresa was now no longer in the cave. The little spot of solid stone in this white desert didn’t give her anything more than a migraine in the form of an idiot. So now she was standing on top of the cave looking out around the desert trying to think of which direction she had come from and where she should go now. The idiot inside of the cave was going to look for her, what much she was certain so she’d have to make a decision somewhat soon.

The moment Jeff got close enough to strike the unexpected happened, instead of trying to block or attack the Hollow just vanished into it's little crack of reality. What! Now where did it go, it couldn't have just disappeared. Landing back on the ground he began looking around the cave but this brought no evidence of the Hollow being in the cave still. Pounding his fist against the cave wall he was getting very frustrated, less so that his "Prey" got away as he didn't consider Teresa prey, no, he was frustrated that this Hollow didn't want to fight.

Using his Hell Step one last time he opens and walks through a portal leading about 30 feet outside the cave mouth, stepping through it brought the ever familiar feeling of walking through fire before finally stepping back onto that white Hueco Mundo desert sand. Feet still feeling the tingle from the know rekindled burning sensation, Jeff could only do one thing to truly vent his frustrations. Reaching up he takes his mask off while looking straight up at the sky before letting out a scream of irritation. 

Jeff does not see Teresa standing on top of the cave and will not notice her unless she does something to warrant attention. Doing this Teresa may possibly see Jeff remove his mask before he screams which might seem odd, the question is will she do anything about it or is her desire not to go after him knowing he's rather annoying and has admitted to probably not tasting that good.

This really had been a waste of time, what was she to expect though, everything in this endless desert tasted like trash. Nothing was edible, Teresa continued to try when she came across different sorts of Hollow, but it didn’t matter if it was a tiny bug or an animal or when one that could speak like her, they all tasted so bad that she couldn’t keep herself from vomiting. That idiot inside the cave was different, but all the same he felt similar. The prospect of him tasting like anything other than hot garbage was minut.

Now standing at the top of the white cave in this endless desert though Teresa had to make up her mind. Which way was she going to go? She’d been walking for what felt like days, her stomach constantly growling now, her hunger continued to grow and grow. The pain in her gut was building yet no matter what she tried to consume it just wasn’t something she could stomach. Was there really nothing in this God forsaken desert for her to eat? Was there no way for her to fight off the starvation? Just one major question loomed over all the others rushing throughout her mind though. How long would she have to deal with this pain? This hunger had been going on since she was free again, how long could she last before her second chance was gone?

It wasn’t long before Teresa picked up on the fact that whoever this idiot was, happened to be outside of the cave now. How she managed to pickup his location though wasn’t anything impressive, she just could hear the sound of the guy screaming. Turning around and looking out at the sand Teresa could easily see him looking up at the night sky of this never ending desert. It took a moment, but Teresa did notice that he was holding the mask that had been on his face. “So he is something different for sure.” Said Teresa to herself knowing that the mask on her own face wasn’t something that she could remove. Still he likely wasn’t anything that was going to stave off her hunger so he wasn’t going to be worth the trouble of actually fighting him.

At least for the moment that is. Teresa knew her limitations, she was little more than a human right now with minimal ways of dealing with anyone that sought to fight her. Sticking to smaller mindless animal like sources of food was the best option for her right now. The major problem though still remained that nothing she found she could keep down. She had to find something to eat, had to find someone to eat. Her story wasn’t going to end here in the endless desert. She knew she had the potential to become powerful whether or not anyone else believed it. This was the first hurtel, one she was having trouble clearing, but wouldn’t give up. Perhaps one day she’d try the flesh of this strange idiot,but not right now. Walking in the opposite direction the brief encounter between the masked ones comes to an end.
