How many times had Abaddon been in this exact coffee shop simply to read a book he had gotten the night before? By this point he was shocked that the ingestion of all the caffeine he had drank over the course of a few months hadn’t had serious damage to his body. Yet as he drank his warm drink slowly reading a book that was older than the building they were in he heard a familiar voice make an order. His eyes slowly glanced up from the book to see her. While he had thought that experience was simply a horrid dream seeing her now here was proof that it did happen.
Ordering something was Irina, someone he had met in what he could only be described as the sadistic world created by a man lost to madness. While the entire time he had been there he assumed that the whole situation was simply a horrid dream, yet here was someone he had met there. After she had ordered Abaddon rose from his seat and walked over to the counter with a soft smile across his face. “I’ll pay for her order.” Abaddon said as he looked back at Irina “It’s been a while, how about we catch up?”

It wasn't, Irina reasoned, that she was going to get addicted to caffeine or anything. But whose idea had it been to put a coffee shop right between her University and the Uzaki Enterprises building, anyway? After a morning of attending class (Wednesdays meant Advanced Fluid Dynamics and Engineering Mathematics) and before heading over to UE, she stopped at a little coffee shop that she had passed by many times before. It would be good to take a break and study for a bit before work. She looked at the menu and mentally crossed out anything that had the word latte in it. That meant sugar was involved, and she was not interested in adding any sugar to her diet.
So she just ordered a small black coffee. That couldn't kill her, right? As she gave her order to the barista, someone who maybe could have killed her snuck up behind her. Irina, over two feet shorter than Abbadon, probably should have been more alarmed by the large man approaching her than she was. Having only ever seen him in some sort of alternate reality, said alternate reality was suddenly confirmed to be real. "Hey! Wow. This is weird. I mean, you're not weird, it's just..." She stopped herself before she could be any more awkward. "Thanks. Yeah, I've got some time; let's catch up. How's it going?"
Abaddon chuckled at how flustered Irina seemed to be when he had approached her, truth be told if the shoe had been on the other foot he would be acting the same. Still he held back laughing outright at her and once she finally got her composure and could answer back properly, agreeing to sit down and catch up, Abaddon smiled before walking back to the table he had been sitting at pulling out a seat for her and waiting for her to sit down before he sat in the chair he had been in moments before. The book he had been reading was closed and laid face down on the table as he looked over the clothing that she was wearing.
It seemed to be clothing that he would call office casual, so either she was out from work, or possible school given how young she was. “As far as I’ve been, well since that incident I’ve been fine. It’s still hard to imagine that it wasn’t a dream. Everything that happened there…. Everything we had to do to survive.” Abaddon’s mind went back to the horrid landscape that the two of them were dragged to against their will. He remembered the pain of being burnt alive as he was ripped from this world and to the other.
Shaking his head he tried to get back to reality and not his memories, something he thought he wouldn’t try to do. “Still it’s nice to see that you’re doing well, however… given that you’re real that means that he would be too….wouldn’t it?” Abaddon was making a soft mention about Conner, the third individual that they met in that world, a shingami with a horrible power that could easily destroy much of the world. While Abaddon never reported the whole event due to him thinking it was a dream now he knew he would have to make an actual report.
“Normally I would dance around this topic as I observe an individual and their possible use, however if I’m assuming that everything you could do in that world holds true here then there is no point to do so. Irina, you know that I am a quincy, just as I know you are a fullbringer. What you may not know is that my kind is divided into two major factions, the Vandenreich and the free quincy. The free quincy are just that, quincy who have no allegiance to the Vandenreich. That doesn’t mean that they don’t join organizations, it just means that we don’t pledge allegiance to the Vandenreich.”
“The Vandenreich however are a military organization foolishly devoted to a man simply called the Emperor. They slaughter any that oppose them and will even force others to become quincy to serve the Emperor.” Abaddon paused for a moment to allow her to take in what he said and to gauge her reaction to what he was saying. “You as a fullbringer are in danger twice over, either as a subject to be subjugated or converted. I’m telling you this now, given the strength you have you’ll soon come under their radar. I don’t know if you know anything about this or not, however I’d hate to see you killed or converted. As such, I’m extending an invitation to join Xcution, from what I’ve seen their the only organization in the human world that has enough power behind it to keep it’s members safe.”

Irina, who was not used to having someone pull out her chair for her, accepted the gesture and took a seat. Sure, she'd been raised to be a lady, but the last time she'd asked an engineering classmate to "toss me a chair", they had taken this directive literally, chucking it across the room. Sure, she'd caught it fine, but this behavior was not exactly gentlemanly. It was nice to be around people who were a little older and more...calm. She sipped her coffee. A robust blend, it was plenty strong, but also pretty hot, so she set it aside to give it a moment to cool.
"That incident." Yup. It had been disturbing all right, and it had taken a few weeks after she'd returned home before Irina had stopped having nightmares of battle axes and burning. Irina had never been particularly great at reading people, nor, by extension, the pronoun game. Because of that, she was not sure exactly to which "he" in that dreamscape (or was it a nightmarescape?) Abaddon was referring. She nodded, figuring her answer would be the same regardless. "I suppose so. Strangely, that wasn't the first time I've been transported somewhere strange. Last time was a few years ago."
She thought back to the time that, as a twenty-year-old Spring Breaker, Kazura had sent her out to investigate "a conflict" that turned out to be between the Disney characters Ursula and Ariel, King Triton, and their people. That, too, had seemed pretty far-fetched, but since other people had returned from similar situations around the same time, she had accepted it as reality. Being real, though, didn't mean it had taken place in her world. "Last time, I just assumed I'd been in some alternate universe or something. Although there were other people who weren't from there, now that I think about it. A Shinigami named Oda-something Senshi. And a Fullbringer named Shizuka something. I never saw them again though, so I just assumed they were from some other reality. Basically, not real." It sounded like sci-fi, but parallel universes, if proved to be real, would not be the strangest thing Irina had encountered since becoming spiritually aware.
Irina's knowledge of the Vandenreich was pretty much limited to "want everyone to be Quincies. Pretty murder-y. Stay away." What Abaddon said lined up with this pretty neatly, and he offered an option to help with her plan to stay away. Incidentally, Irina's knowledge of Xcution was pretty much limited to "call those guys if you want to hire a hit man. Pretty murder-y." Although she didn't usually trust people she didn't know well so easily, she'd been through a lot with Abaddon, and would give him the benefit of a doubt. "I'm not sure I want to jump into any new groups...But tell me more. What does the organization do? What's the point? I think I've missed that in what little I've heard about Xcution."

Abaddon stayed silent as he let Irina speak, while his offer was a strange one he knew that it would be the best for her. Given her powers and the strength that she showed he was certain that eventually she would draw the eyes of the Vandenreich. Converting her into a quincy wouldn’t be as hard as others given the already projectile nature of her powers, and even if she refused he knew the horrific results of saying no. Torture till compliance or death, they were ruthless and wouldn’t take no for an answer, if they ever found a way to force a soul to stay in a body that was utterly shattered they would do it to prolong the torture.
It was as she was talking that he heard a familiar name come out of her mouth, Shizuka. So she has met her before? Interesting, why didn’t Shizuka try and recruit her when she met her? Or had she tried to and failed… Either way her knowing who Shizuka was is a good thing, at least there is another friendly face I can add to Xcution’s roster. While Irina knowing Shizuka was a surprise he was most curious about the fact that she had been transported to a strange place before. Was this a common thing for her? He would have to ask later on.
When Irina asked what does Xcution do Abaddon himself paused for a moment, for now all he knew was that Shizuka was bringing in more and more competent people into the organization and that she wanted to get away from the murder for hire vibe they had. He took a sip of his tea and thought for a moment what to say to her. Sure he could lie and say that they were a noble group, that they fought off oppressors and did what was needed to keep the world safe, but that would be a lie. Normally Abaddon found honesty to be the best policy, even if it wasn’t what others wanted to hear.
“To be frank, right now Xcution is going through a bit of a rebranding and reorganization of sorts. The former CEO of Xcution passed away and now Shizuka Sanamizu has taken over as the CEO. The very same Shizuka that you mentioned. While it’s true that Xcution had a rather conflicting past, it’s main goal now is the development and understanding of a spiritual individual’s power and their abilities, in order to help protect themselves and the general population of the world from all threats spiritual.” This was the truth that Abaddon knew of Xcution, at least this was what Shizuka had told him after their meeting.
“I will admit that there are some individuals from the old regime still around and Xcution does still partake in less than moral good actions from time to time, however the actions are done to help the world. “ Abaddon knew that the transition from what Xcution was to what Shizuka wants isn’t totally complete, however progress was being made. “My main responsibility at Xcution is knowledge distribution and training the new quincies we’re recruiting. That doesn’t mean however I don’t know all the secrets of Fullbringers, and the amazing things that they can do. Things I haven’t seen from you, however I know you’re capable of.”

So the Shizuka she'd met was actually the leader of Xcution. Interesting. "Ah, I see. Blonde hair, about my age, sassy? I guess I did meet her. We didn't exactly have time to discuss our occupations at home then. Anyway, that was a few years ago." She recalled the way Shizuka had spoke irreverently to pretty much everyone they'd met in that strange adventure. Irina, for some reason, had not been the recipient of any of that drama. Probably because she tended to take care of business without trying to provoke anyone. That just wasn't Irina's style; as the youngest child in her family, Irina had grown into a cool-headed negotiator, good at getting people to do what she wanted, or at least see her side of things. Still, she hadn't necessarily disliked Shizuka, and actually preferred working with people who didn't operate the same way she did. Having different skills, she felt, was an important part of building a well-rounded team.
Abaddon patiently explained the "rebranding" that Xcution was undergoing, and Irina had the sense that he was being careful to be earnest about the truth of the situation: they were having some reform in the organization, but some less savory aspects still remained. A straight-shooter herself, Irina would have gone into defensive mode if she'd felt that Abaddon was trying to manipulate her. It wasn't that she had never worked with sketchy people. (What was Luca up to in the last couple weeks since she'd seen him, anyway? She needed to check into that.) And she didn't disagree that getting a more complete understanding of the strange world around them was a worthy goal. Nonetheless, she wasn't sure she'd wanted to entangle herself with some of the shadier parts of Xcution, and anyway, trying to juggle her graduate studies in engineering and her work with UE was already quite a handful for the twenty-three-year-old.
She nodded with a small smile as Abaddon described his role in training Quincy and asserted that he still had an understanding of the capabilities of Fullbringers nonetheless, remembering her first encounter with a Quincy. Irina had been trained by an apparent friend of her best friend Altan's mother, a Quincy named Abram, when she'd gotten a bit too close to some spiritual warfare on a visit home for Altan's mom's comfort. Wanting Irina to better be able to protect herself, Klava called Abram to help her. Despite not being a Fullbringer himself, Abram was able to guide Irina towards unlocking her Fullbring: an icy sword that grew from an antique hilt. Resultantly, Irina had no problems trusting the coaching abilities of a Quincy.
Irina shrugged off the statement about what she was capable of. Much more powerful than she had been when she'd first moved to Karakura and started working at UE, she still remained relatively unimpressed by her own abilities, having seen plenty of people and...things that were stronger. She nodded contemplatively and stirred her coffee. "I see what you're saying. Vandenreich are definitely people I want to avoid, and it's not that I think I could take them on single-handedly if they decided to go after me. I'm just not sure that-"
Irina cut herself off as her smartwatch beeped. She had a split second to decide how much to share about the alert, and decided to be completely transparent. "I work over at Uzaki Enterprises. I'm getting an alert that there's a Hollow over on the North side of town. I can let someone else take care of it if you want to keep talking here... Or would you rather come with me and check it out?" Her opposite hand hovered over the watch display, ready to hit the button to indicate that she would accept the task if Abaddon chose. If not, she wasn't worried; Raph or Kazura would take care of it.

Abaddon chuckled a bit at the description she gave for Shizuka. “Yes that is her, however I would say snarky rather than sassy.” He was hoping to get a bit of a chuckle out of Irina from his little comment, being able to build some common ground is worth it, especially if it leads to her joining Xcution. As he listened Abaddon took out a black notebook and started to jot down a question for Shizuka, asking about this adventure she had in apparently an evil Disney land. He wondered how exactly it differed from regular Disney land, but that was a question for later.
Abaddon was about to interrupt Irina when she was saying that she could handle herself if they came at her one at a time. The thing was, only the extremely powerful or disposable were ever assigned to solo missions. Yet before he could even say anything he heard a beeping come from her watch, his eyes glanced down to look at what sort of watch was so loud. He didn’t have to wait too long to get the answer to his question. His eyes glared a bit when she mentioned UE, while originally he had great faith in that organization, the recent employment changes there made it less than desirable for him.
Abaddon shook his head and stood up offering a hand to Irina to help her up out of the seat. “Come I’d rather deal with it along side you than leave it up to fate, with his luck Luca will be the one to respond and cause more of a mess.” After she would stand up Abaddon would open the café door for her and allow her to lead the way towards the hollow. He didn’t know where it was, however it was interesting that UE had watches that allowed for hollow alerts, he knew of Kazura’s intellect, however he might of underestimated just how smart the fullbringer was.
As they went towards the hollow Abaddon would speak again. “it is a shame you’re in UE, at one time it was a fine organization, however I have to question Kazura’s leadership ability letting one of it’s most valuable members get drafted back to fight in the middle east, then hiring Luca and not keeping a better eye on that man. He’s more likely than not to get himself killed trying to play hero. I hate to say this Irina, however if the Vandenirech ever set their sights on UE it will be a slaughter.” Abaddon stayed silent for a while, afterwards he would say one last thing. “Please land the killing blow on the hollow, I’d rather the soul be able to move on and not be destroyed.”

As they talked, Abaddon pulled out a notebook and began...taking notes. She wasn't great with social cues and was careful to not assume someone's attentions when she could avoid it, but to Irina, this seemed to signal that this had turned from a social conversation to a business transaction. Which was fine, she supposed, but in the back of her mind, she'd kind of been hoping that she'd made a new friend.
Abaddon made a face and agreed to come with her, making a comment about beating Luca there. Taken aback, Irina, who hadn't expected the topic to turn to Luca, didn't notice Abaddon's nonverbal offer to help her out of her seat and sprung up from her chair instead, eyebrows furrowed, asking "What? No, Luca's...out of town." Pretty far out of town, actually: last she'd heard from Raph, Luca was still in the Soul Society. Maybe he was causing some kind of mayhem there, but she didn't feel like it was a place he'd manage to do a lot of damage. Irina let Abaddon open it and zipped out of the door. "How do you know Luca, anyway?"
"Are you talking about Yoko? I mean, it sounded like she was ready to move on. What would you suggest: holding her here against her will?" She shot Abaddon an incredulous look. She ignored the bit about her best friend Kazura's leadership ability. Sure, she had a different style and some different opinions compared to Kazura, the top one probably being the topic of how loose he was with hiring...whoever. Still, she trusted him overall, and had no intention of finding a workplace that was a little less chaotic. About her other colleague, though... Abaddon had no way of knowing that Irina was technically Luca's supervisor, so she tried to keep her tone neutral.
"I'm actually the department head responsible for keeping an eye on Luca." That part had been her idea, actually: she felt strongly that the teenager needed some oversight. "And I didn't hire him- and probably would not have, if it'd been her choice, she thought- "but I think giving him a little supervision is better than sending him out into the world on his own. So I intend to keep him around." What had Luca done to this guy, anyway? The comment about "trying to play hero" seemed to imply that when they'd met, Luca had been doing something misguided but well meaning, not just picking fights to defend his honor or whatever, which she knew was also fairly likely to happen.
To Abaddon's last point, Irina snapped "Yeah, I feel like you're hitting me with the hard sell here," not wanting to get into an argument about whether the Vandenreich could take down UE: partly because she wasn't sure he was wrong, but also because she hadn't been trying to get into an argument in the first place. She was open to the idea of discussing it or making a plan for safety, but this felt like more of an attack than a problem-solving session. Anyway, when Irina had met Skizuka, even she hadn't twisted her arm to get her to join Xcution.
She stewed quietly for a bit about being told what to do, but softened when Abaddon requested that she be the one to kill the Hollow so its soul could continue on. "I should have asked about your thoughts on the matter before I invited you along, I guess. That was pretty careless of me. Yes, I agree that would be for the best, if it's possible." She had never really thought about that particular implication of working alongside a Quincy. "I'd imagine that's a heavy burden to bear: knowing that you have the power to take a soul out of the Soul Cycle." She had a thought. "So does it work that way with everyone? Or just souls that are currently Hollows? Like, if you shot me in the face right now, would my soul be out of commission?" Oddly, this felt like a lighter topic of conversation.
Coming up on the Hollow, Irina and Abaddon would see a large squirrel on the sidewalk in a residential area. It was not large by human standards, but at two feet tall, it was an unnatural size for a squirrel, anyway. It didn't seem to be doing anything dangerous. It scurried around, collecting random objects. It picked up a basketball, putting it in the pocket of a vest-like covering it wore. Then it went for a fire hydrant. Stronger than it looked, the Squirrel pulled the hydrant out of the ground and...put it in its pocket. Water spewed everywhere. Then it grabbed a car. The squirrel shook it around, seemed to like the sound it made, and put the car in its pocket. How did those things fit in there, anyway? "What...is that?" Irina mused as they approached, and the Squirrel turned to reveal its mask.
"I mean, this looks harmless, right?" Irina puzzled, stopping to watch the bizarre scene. Then a little old lady walked out of her house, yelling that the city needed to take better care of the hydrants. The squirrel removed the basketball from his pocket, rolling it towards the lady, knocking her down. Then it pulled out the fire hydrant and jumped to the lady's height of about four and a half feet, clocking her on the head and rendering her unconscious. It unhinged its jaw, lowering it from its height to the ground. "Hey, stop that!" Irina yelled at the squirrel, running through the artificial geyser to get to it most directly, wiping her eyes clumsily.
She activated her Fullbring, producing an icy sword. Thinking to herself that this should be pretty easy, Irina charged towards the Hollow, hoping to separate it from its prey. Right as she almost reached it, the Squirrel tossed the lady to the ground, removing the car from its pocket and throwing it at her. Using Soul Command to soften the ground then bring it back to normal, Irina shot herself up into the air, jumping just high enough to avoid getting pummeled. The Squirrel cheeped angrily at her, picking the lady back up and reopening its jaw.
"What? No, Luca's...out of town." Abaddon wasn’t sure if that was good news or bad really. On one hand that man not being in town meant that at the very least there was less of a chance for him to mess around with someone more spiritually powerful than him. On the other hand it also meant that the fullbringer would be causing havok in another part of the world. Abaddon wrote down in his notebook as they walked that he needed to take a look at the world newspapers for any mention of a wild man with strange powers doing things.
When the question changed as to how he knew the fullbringer Abaddon wondered how to respond to that. To be utterly honest Abaddon only knew Luca because of the fullberings reckless actions, however further dragging the man’s name through the mud wasn’t necessary. “I had the unfortunate encounter with him one day here in Karakura town when he decided to haphazardly approach me while having an audacious attitude.” While it was true that Abaddon wasn’t exactly very receptive to the man’s actions, Luca was acting as if he owned the whole town.
"Are you talking about Yoko? I mean, it sounded like she was ready to move on. What would you suggest: holding her here against her will?" When learning that Yoko was ready to move on Abaddon paused for a moment. “I apologize, last I spoke with her she seemed content with UE and was happy there. If she truly longed for something else then that was her choice.” Abaddon wasn’t going to get into an argument there. Then something shocking came from Irina "I'm actually the department head responsible for keeping an eye on Luca." There was only one thing Abaddon could say to that. “You must have the patience of a saint to deal with that man.”
Abaddon nodded as Irina said that the man needed a bit of supervision, that was really an understatement. "Yeah, I feel like you're hitting me with the hard sell here," Abaddon shook his head as Irina said that. It wasn’t that he was trying to do a hard sell. “ I apologize about that, it wasn’t my intention to hard sell Xcution. I was simply stating facts that I have seen. I tend to be more blunt rather than others, or so I have been told.” While it was true that he did want to see Irina join Xcution he did it out of concern for her, he didn’t want to find out about the death of someone who he fought along side with.
Irina changed the tone of the conversation with her questions about the soul cycle and how being a quincy worked with the arrows. “Over the course of humanity quincy reiatsu has evolved to become the anthesis of hollow reiatsu. To do that our reaitsu has developed the innate property of destruction. This is most present when we fire arrows. All souls are at risk of forever being destroyed when struck with an arrow. So to answer your question yes, if I struck you with my arrow your soul would forever be destroyed. It’s worse for hollows given that when we kill them all the souls that they have consumed are destroyed forever as well.”
By the time Abaddon had finished speaking they had arrived to where the hollow was. It was a strange little hollow, but a hollow none the less. “A fat hollow is what it is.” Abaddon, watched the actions of Irina, while he was here to stop the hollow, if he didn’t need to use his arrows he wouldn’t and the actions that she was taking seemed to indicate that. That was till she had to be on the defensive and the hollow was about to strike the old lady. Pulling back his bow Abaddon fired out one arrow right at the lower jaw of the hollow. A strike that wouldn’t kill the beast, but it would force it to fall back and give attention to the two of them. 1160/1200-40 reiatsu

Irina relaxed when Abaddon apologized for the misunderstanding about Yoko and about the pressure to join Xcution. Being maybe a bit too straightforward was a flaw she recognized in herself. Still, it wasn't something she'd exactly tried to change. She felt it was better to be as much on the same page as others as possible, and social norms would have to take a secondary level of importance. She sensed no malicious intent with Abaddon. He helped her fill in the gaps in her Quincy knowledge, and she nodded thoughtfully. Everything was fine; she wasn't being attacked.
Until, obviously, the Hollow. Before she hit the ground from jumping out of the way of the projectile it had launched, Abaddon hit the creature with a non-lethal attack. There wasn't much time to think, but with the Hollow distracted, Irina took a moment to soften the ground below the car, trying to lessen the damage to the area around it. She preferred for it to stay put, rather than crash into a building or something. And thinking of things that probably shouldn't crash into anything, she reached out to soften the ground under the lady the Hollow had lost its grip on, as well. Hopefully that would keep her from breaking any bones. The area seemed to be less busy with people, but surely more would arrive when they heard all of this commotion. It would be best to handle this quickly.
"Can you get her out of the way?" Irina yelled to Abaddon. Her best idea for handling the lady herself was to pull her away using Soul Dominance as well, but since she couldn't pull on a living being itself, she'd have to yank her by her clothes. Irina had never actually tried to use the technique in exactly that manner, but she assumed that being on the receiving end would feel like a giant wedgie. She'd trust Abaddon to handle the lady for a moment, focusing her attention on the Hollow herself.
The Hollow was short enough that she felt good about taking it on with her sword. Once its easier prey was out of the way, the creature would get angry with Irina. It got down on all fours and ran towards her. She held out her sword, ready to use the Hollow's momentum against it, dipping low to swing at it like she was trying to hit a badly-pitched baseball. It wasn't particularly easy to hit a target between her ankle and calf though, so all she managed to do was cut its arm badly, leaving it dangling oddly. Irina winced. Hollow or not, she hated to see living things suffer. If you can call what it is doing living, she thought to herself. In her personal space now, the Squirrel Hollow used its other arm to make a lightning-quick grab for Irina's elbow. With speed faster than hers, Irina didn't have time to react before it had stowed her away in its vest pocket.
She had never been in a location anything like this, and before wondering whether she had shrunk down to fit in the creature's vest or if it was just magically bigger on the inside, she tried to slash at the walls of the pocket with her sword, but hit nothing. Irina was on top of a pile of the squirrel's collection. She could only begin to process all the items in the pile. A bicycle, the fire hydrant it had plucked out of the ground, a horse with a spring on the bottom that she assumed had come from a playground. A bunch of bags of Cheetos. Could Hollows even eat real food? An ice cream stand, a pogo stick, a Christmas wreath.
This beat any crazy collection she had ever seen. But it was time to get out of there and figure out how to handle the Hollow. Irina was nowhere close to any kind of wall, having landed in an area roughly the width and length of a soccer field, with walls much taller. She looked under her feet, to discover thousands (or maybe millions) of acorns. Proportionally to Irina, they were about the size of regular acorns. They were, fortunately, tightly-packed enough that she didn't sink down in them if she didn't thrash around much, and she supposed they had probably cushioned her crash landing. She tried to run towards one of the walls, but found that when doing so, she was using a ton of energy, like running on the fluffy beach sand far away from the shore.
Walking was a little more efficient, but it would take frustratingly long to get to the walls. She thought it might help to make snowshoes of sorts. Looking around, the engineer found the most appropriately-sized things she could: one tennis racket and a trash can lid. She slipped the lid of the trash can over her left foot using the handle, and tied her shoelace around the bottom of the shoe and through the grid on the racket for the right foot, and began trudging towards her goal: she'd try to either cut her way out, or climb out of here.
Remaining reiatsu: 7400 - 200 (unlock main fullbring level 1- done last post but forgot to list) - 150x2 (Soul Dominance x2) = 6900

Seeing Irina move reminded why Abaddon was glad to have her on his side. He honestly felt that her talent was wasted in UE, especially given that she was forced to babysit those without common sense. Watching her actions he could tell what she was wanting, before she had even said a word about moving the old lady Abaddon was already moving to do so. He knew most individuals would have simply ignored the old lady after the hollow had let go, yet Irina went out of her way to make sure she was ok. That quality of care made Abaddon want her to join Xcution all the more, they needed more people who looked at the whole situation rather than focusing on a single point.
Abaddon was a bit stronger than most so being able to pick up an older woman and carry her a safe distance away wasn’t a large task. He had been able to do so rather quickly given his speed, still he took care to make sure that the old woman wouldn’t be jostled by his movements. As he placed her down ten feet away he looked back to see how Irina was dealing with the hollow. It was at this moment that he saw the arm of the hollow already grabbing Irina. Abaddon pulled back on his bow to fire an arrow at the arm, however he was too late and by the time the arrow he fired severed the arm Irina was gone.
Abaddon started to feel his body tense up with rage, hollows, while weak and driven by instinct always had strange and unique powers. Some of which could break the known laws of reality if given enough power. He knew that when sated hollows actually have a personality, they have memories, they are individuals that have lives. It was his own experiences that gave him pause to simply kill hollows on sight. However by doing so he had caused harm to Irina. Now he didn’t know where she was or if she could even get out. His rage was at himself, but there was one thing that he knew for sure, he couldn’t let this hollow escape.
Without saying anything he pulled back on his bow and fired out several more arrows. Each one aiming at the joints of the remaining arm and legs of the hollow. If Irina was still alive then taking this hollow back to be studied by Xcution would be the best bet to get her out of wherever the hollow displaced her to. While the hollow had been quick Abaddon was confident on the speed of his own arrows, the hollow would only have a few moments before the arrows would make contact with it’s body. The dangling arm that Irina had damaged would be utterly shot off.
Both legs of the hollow would have an arrow in each of their kneecaps as well as an arrow aimed right at their upper thighs. If they all made contact with the hollow then the hollow’s legs would be blown off at both places leaving only stumps of what was their legs. Stopping this hollow from being able to freely move was the first step, the next would be to slowly drag it back to an Xcution safehouse for it to be examined by their many researchers. While he himself didn’t have the authority to force them to take on this task, he had a good feeling that those researchers couldn’t resist the prospect of studying a hollow that could displace things by touch. 920/1200 reiatsu - 240 for arrows

Finally having successfully trudged to the wall of this place, Irina found that it seemed to be made of, well, pocket. A cotton-y fabric. Still, when she tried to carefully cut it with her sword, nothing happened. It seemed that the pocket was reinforced somehow. She tried to stab it instead, still somewhat hesitantly, because she didn't want to tumble out haphazardly and land in a way to hurt herself. When it still didn't give way, she gave it her all, swinging as hard as she could. The fabric just moved away gently, as if she was beating a rug with a broom. Cutting her way wouldn't be an option. She'd go for Plan B: climb out.
She vaguely remembered something like this happening in a Batman movie. But instead of a prison, she was climbing out of a squirrel's hoard. Not exactly what she thought she'd be up to today. She put her sword in its sheath, grabbed a hunk of fabric, and began her ascent upward. How had Bruce Wayne handled this, anyway? She couldn't recall. She was pretty sure there was some kind of safety rope, but you weren't supposed to use it.
It probably wasn't the best for Irina to be so distracted, because just then she was hit with a large rodent arm, which wasn't all that big, but it caught her off guard, knocking her back where she'd started. Unbeknownst to her, the Squirrel Hollow's arm had been shot off by Abaddon, so the squirrel had grabbed it with its remaining arm and thrown it in there to keep for later. When hit with the squirrel arm, Irina's left shoulder was splattered with squirrel blood, giving her an edgy kind of look that she wasn't exactly going for. Gross.
Anyway, she restarted her trek upward, grabbing onto fistfulls of fabric, and after ten minutes of this taxing workout, eventually made it to the top. She climbed out, and would find herself wherever Abbadon had dragged the Hollow by that point.
While the middle of a city street wasn’t the best place to try and drag a hollow away from Abaddon had been luck that the situation caused by the hollow had emptied the street, for now. Eventually he knew that the paramedics and police would be arriving, once that happened he knew it would be strange for him to be dragging an invisible creature in front of them. They might assume that he was either injured or crazy, in either case that would cause him to lose time and give the chance for the hollow to escape.
While not exactly keen on doing so Abaddon used his gloved hands to grab at the nape of the neck and began to drag it towards a dark alley way. The beast weighed more than he thought originally, however it wasn’t something that he couldn’t move. He thanked his luck as if it was a larger or even heavier hollow then Xcution would have had to play clean up with the local authorities. It wasn’t a few minutes after Abaddon had dragged the beast into the darkness of the ally that he saw something stirring in the pouch of the hollow.
Taking a step back he pulled back on his bow and readied an arrow, who knows what else this hollow had instore or what else it had grabbed. As he saw Irina climb out of the hollow’s pouch he lowered his aim and let out a sigh of relief. Even though they hadn’t been acquaintances for long he still abhorred the idea of a life lost so quickly and pointlessly. “Are you alright ?” He said in a low tone still worried if there were any after affects of being inside of a hollow like that.
While he would wait for Irina’s answer the contact from Xcution would reach out to Abaddon telling him that they were ready for the specimen. “It seems I’m being called and this hollow is expected.” Abaddon said as he pulled the nape of it’s neck once more. “If you’re not too busy you’re more than welcome to follow me.” As he said that he would open up a garganta to the lab. Whether or not Irina followed was up to her however if she did she would find herself inside of an Xcution lab and several men and women in lab coats taking the hollow away from Abaddon.

Was she alright? It was a good question, and one she hadn't particularly considered; Irina had been too busy for that. But she had a minute of quiet now, so she took stock of her status. She wasn't injured. Banged up from that fight and from falling in the pile of everything in the Hollow's pocket, sure, but nothing had actually damaged her. She felt fine. She wouldn't have expected that after being exposed to a Hollow so closely, but she felt like she was thinking clearly and everything. To prove this to herself, she mentally listed the makeup of the core for airplane wings she had been working on testing for her graduate research. They were testing a 65% aluminum alloy versus a 72% one. The 65% seemed to be holding up just as well even though it was lighter. So, "Yeah, I'm okay," she responded in a nearly chipper tone. Things were under control. Abaddon also looked uninjured. "Everyone else unscathed?"
Even if she was too busy, Irina would have had a hard time turning down the offer to come along to the Xcution lab. It didn't feel terribly risky; everyone she had ever met who was associated with them had seemed pretty normal. Well, normal was a strong word, she thought. But normal as expected, she supposed. So she decided to tag along, following Abaddon closely. Sure, as a scientist herself, she had questions and curiosities about what exactly they did there, but Irina would politely hold back and wait until she was addressed first.
Abaddon smiled as Irina joined him in one of the labs of Xcution. He took one last look at the hollow that was being dragged off to be experimented on. While he did feel some sort of guilt for it’s fate, he knew that it wasn’t one of the hollows that had retained it’s sentience as many of his former friends in Las Aernas did. let out a disappointed sigh before seeing that a particular fullbringer was with the hollow as it was being moved. “Sarah I’m borrowing your office for a bit.” When she didn’t even looked over towards him he continuing walking through the lab and to a small office space connected to the lab. “While I wanted you to tour XCution I wasn’t expecting for your entrance to be because of being swallowed by a hollow.”
Abaddon opened up a messy office, he sighed and shook his head. “ I apologize for this, normally she’s more organized than this. If you want there is a shower to the left and I can get a lab jumper for you to wear if you want to wash off after being eaten.” Abaddon didn’t know how Irena was feeling after being swallowed but he figured that she wouldn’t want to be covered in any traces of the squirrel. “If not we can sit and talk for a bit, before taking a brief tour of Xcution. I know you don’t plan of leaving UE over simple words, however I do think it might be worth your while to see the true Xcution.”
