Thread Title: *Despite Everything, It's Still You. Participants: Priscilla Krantz, Celes Shindazu World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: Los Angeles, California. 4:30PM. Densely populated, and in the middle of the rush-hour. Special Conditions: N/A Circumstances: Over the course of multiple days, Shinigami that had been sent to patrol the Los Angeles area had returned to Seireitei with the same foreign Reiatsu signature thrown into the mix. Naturally, someone of stature within the Soul Society had been deployed to analyze and neutralize the source of this problem.

(OOC:Priscilla's gonna be fighting for Ryo!)
Twenty five. This was not only the number of days Priscilla had spent in this crummy city on her own volition, but it was also the number of rather unfortunate Shinigami she had been able to tag with her own sheets of paper, completely unbeknownst to them. Just the thought of it made her smile. These kind of jokes were those she tended to really enjoy to watch play out. She enjoyed the thought of making Soul Society scramble; to say the least, the thought made her giggle to herself.
Though, jokes like these weren't the main reason she had decided to scout out a hollow hotspot within the USA; she had a different reason to be here. She wanted in the Soul Society. For that to happen, she needed to find a way to secure that route. Sure, there were plenty of options, but when she could realistically play "identity theft" and make her way inside, she needed someone that would be the least suspected to be some sort of imposter. What better way to do so than to bait out some sort of Captain?
She'd only heard stories of what the Captains of the Soul Society were like from Amalia! She'd told her about a few; one in particular seemed to hold a long-lasting mark on her late friend. Priscilla couldn't help but sigh. [smear:ff80ff]Not now,[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]Priscilla[/smear:603300], she thought to herself, [smear:ff80ff]you'll get your answers in time![/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]You just gotta wait it out is all![/smear:603300] Her own thoughts brought a smile to her face. Before much of anything else, she wanted to find out what happened to Amalia. She had a feeling it had to do with Soul Society, and, as such, she needed to find a way to get inside.
All it would take was a few more tags on a few more Shinigami, and she was confident that someone would eventually show up. There was no way that Soul Society of all places was going to just let something like this go. The thought of someone potentially infiltrating the Seireitei was sure to raise some red flags, or, at least, that's what she had both thought and hoped for. She knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that if someone had made their way into Silbern, they'd be discovered and shot down almost immediately. Surely the Seireitei was similar? She had really wanted to find out.

Amidst the crowded streets, large buildings and beautiful sun of Los Angeles, a certain someone could be seen making her way around the city. Posing as just a regular citizen of LA, Celes was in a gigai and exploring all nooks and crannies of LA. It hadn't been too long since her promotion to Vice Captaincy and her transfer to Squad 10 due to that promotion, but she was on her first mission in the human world. While not typically under the jurisdiction of Squad 10, this situation was unique.
Recently patrols of Shinigami have been getting marked by strange concentrations of reiatsu. They were not traces of Shinigami reiatsu and as such, the Soul Society was naturally alarmed. Squad 10 typically dealt with home threats, but the Soul Society had deemed this a breech of internal security which is where Celes came in. She did not have the full report of information that someone like the Captain Commander had, but she did get enough. All she had to do was find the source of this reiatsu and execute it if sentient.
The Shinigami typically did enjoy killing, but this was a unique situation. Especially now as a Vice Captain of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, Celes had to hold herself to a higher standard of duty. She was the honor-bound warrior and in truth, she wanted to make a good impression. After all, she would need the recognition in the future if she wanted to move even farther up the ranks. Atleast, this was her plan. To accomplish this though, she did not have time to question or disobey orders. She needed to do what her position demanded of her.
While in her gigai, Celes spiritual pressure was suppressed heavily. She was not the very spiritual type and preferred one on one combat with a variety of weapons. In this situation, she had to lay low, however. She did not want to risk a preemptive strike from the enemy. No matter what it was that she was hunting. She had to remain vigilant and prepared. Then again, Celes was truly wondering why patrols were being marked and what the end objective was.
Celes' gigai while still retaining all of her features did allow the Shinigami to dress in less professional clothing. Wearing a pair of jeans, a lovely tan-colored top and wearing numerous necklaces, Celes appeared to be a woman in her late twenties, looking to recapture her High School years. After all, while Celes was still on the younger side, she appeared to to be around her mid to late twenties. Wearing a gigai always gave her a chance to experiment with her wardrobe to blend in.
While looking around, she took note of a peculiar woman. Not only did she have an interesting appearance, but her hair, eyes and skin when put together seemed to match that coloration of Neopolitan icecream. This was bizzare to Celes. She was like a multicolored-skittle in a field of rice. To not arouse suspicion, Celes would not stop, but she would slow down her movements, glancing at Priscilla every now and then, waiting to see what she was doing. After all, interesting characters like her tended to prove trouble.

Skipping down the sidewalk, Priscilla pulled out a tiny sheet of origami paper, and began to fold it into a shape that'd likely be familiar to anyone who had passed the third grade; a paper airplane. Truth be told, while simple, these were incredibly effective in terms of setting up for reconnaissance; once they made contact with any solid surface, she'd be able to charge them with reiatsu, and they'd unfold and remain disguised against walls, trees, hell, even people if she wanted to. It's like she had her own personal camera system set up around the city.
Focusing her reiatsu around her, Priscilla began to hunt the nearby area for any odd reiatsu signatures. Surely there was no way that Soul Society had pulled out all of their Shinigami, right? From what she'd heard from Amalia, they were a combative people, that seemed to be somewhat out of character for them. She sighed in disdain over the thought. Perhaps she'd have to just wait and see? Only time would really tell if she would find another Shinigami to mark.
She quickly came to the realization that, even though it was behind her, and they were trying to mask their reiatsu, she was likely being followed. She smiled, and released a rather large surge of her own reiatsu upon the area, layering down a rather strong gravitational force upon the reiatsu signature behind her. It was nowhere near enough to hinder movement, but just enough as if to say "I know you're here". Priscilla smiled to herself, as she stopped moving.
[smear:ff80ff]"Do you feel[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]that, Shinigami?"[/smear:603300] she said, the inflections in her voice rising as if to indicate a childlike excitement, [smear:ff80ff]"that force might be a little strong, but I promise I've no intention to harm you yet! Escalating into needless violence isn't something that I'd like to see happen... So![/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]Perhaps we could have a nice little chat before getting to the nitty gritty fighting? I know a cute little cafe down the street, what say we go share a coffee? My treat~!"[/smear:603300] Priscilla would then turn around, and flash Celes what looked to be a true, genuine smile.

As Celes walked behind Priscilla, she did her best to remain inconspicuous. After all, if this was her quarry, she could simply go on the offensive if needed. On the other hand, if this individual was not the one that she was looking for, Celes felt that she could just let her go. The suppression that the Gigai provided was powerful as it almost reduced any trace of her spiritual pressure. At least, that is what Celes thought as she felt her balance waver a little.
This feeling washing over her would be gravitational pressure and Celes admittedly was a little caught off guard. Even with her lack of sensory, Celes knew that it was coming from the woman in front of her. She was expecting her to lash at her and devour her whole like a viper, but that never happened. In fact, despite the gravitational pressure, Celes didn't feel as though she was being forced to the ground. It did send an awful chill up her spine, however. It was then that she heard it.
[smear:ff80ff]"Do you feel[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]that, Shinigami?"[/smear:603300] It was soon as she heard this that her heart would drop. How could she tell who Celes was. Did she really know that it was Celes who was the Shinigami? Did she make a lucky guess? These were all questions swirling through her head. In truth, she was worried. Whether her life was in jeopardy or not. Celes would not answer. She wouldn't give this woman any indication.
Her quarries voice sounded childlike for a moment. Almost as if she was talking with glee turning the hunter into the hunted. Continuing to feel the pressure build, Celes still could tell that this woman was not exercising full pressure on her. If she did, Celes would most likely find herself pushed into the ground. While the Shinigami did have her Zanpakutou close by if she released her Gigai, Celes did not want to make any aggressive movement. She was not in a position where she could.
No, instead Celes was scanning the surrounding area. Where could she run? Duck into an alley? Shunpo onto a building? No these were all too obvious. Her cover was blown and all she could hope to do now is fight this individual head on. She was clearly spiritually aware and had the experience and power to exert an eerie force over Celes. This had to be her. It just made too much sense. Celes' head was spinning as she was trying to tell herself to make the first move.
It was Priscilla's next movement that would make Celes surrender, however. [smear:ff80ff]"that force might be a little strong, but I promise I've no intention to harm you yet! Escalating into needless violence isn't something that I'd like to see happen... So![/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]Perhaps we could have a nice little chat before getting to the nitty gritty fighting? I know a cute little cafe down the street, what say we go share a coffee? My treat~!"[/smear:603300] Celes watched as Priscilla turned to look at her directly and give a genuine smile.
It was not the smile that made Celes fear for herself. It was the clear indication that her cover had been blown. With nowhere to run and no alias to keep up, Celes straigtened herself out in an effort to appear confident. In truth she was, but Priscilla's unique demeanor had totally caught her off guard. Celes replied quite swiftly. "I have no reason to trust you. In fact, I'd have more reason to take this to a fight...yet..." Celes mulled it over. She lost her advantage of suprise.
Priscilla would most likely see Celes be visibly conflicted. She was clearly not able to digest this situation. Especially with so many innocents around. In response, the Shinigami continued from her original thought. "You've made no aggressive move and have only made your presence aware. I am willing to indulge you...for now.." Celes gulped as she continued to speak with Priscilla. Expecting happy reactions, Celes would most likely follow Priscilla to this little coffee shop of hers.
As Celes followed, she would think of all the things that could go wrong. There were so many living souls around...so many civilians. They should not be caught in the crossfire. It was the main reason why Celes did not react on instinct and simply go in for the kill. Not that she truly could've as her opponent seemed just a bit more than what Celes was used to. As a fighter, Celes had met her fair share of opponents, but this one was unique. She did not seem malicious nor did she seem to want to kill Celes on the spot.
As they would reach the coffee shop, Celes would choose to enter after Camila, looking for the nearest seat. As her eyes skimmed the surroundings, she took note of a few things. It was a cute little coffee shop with a few people in it. Their menus were somewhat larger and offered all kinds of coffee. Assuming that Priscilla would sit down, Celes would join across from her. A stoic expression on her face, she would speak calmly or to the best of her abilities. "I see that you've figured out who I am. You don't seem out to kill me immediately so what is your game? Are you the one who's been leaving residual signatures of reiatsu on our patrols?"
Post by Sieglinde P. Krantz on Mar 9, 2021 17:02:13 GMT -5
Gently pushing the door open to the shop, Priscilla took in her surroundings; taking a deep breath as to only further admire the smell of freshly-brewed dark roast, admiring the serene, yet slightly melancholic atmosphere of the afternoon patrons looking for something to kickstart a night-shift at a dead-end job, the way that everything inside the building had been kept so neat, so close to perfection that she could practically live here! What she wouldn't give to be able to curl up in a booth with a good book and-
Oh. Right. She'd been here for business. That being said, she was glad to be here nonetheless, and would make sure to enjoy her time with her "guest" as she not only prodded for information, but specific mannerisms, speech patterns, and anything else that could've been recognizable for the Shinigami to be doing. She'd need to make sure to copy practically everything about the girl if any of this was going to work out in her favor, and how she carried herself was of the utmost importance.
She led Celes to a table in the center of the shop, and pulled out a chair for her, sitting down on the opposite side, with her back to the door. If someone if importance walked in, she'd be able to pick up on it immediately and identify them, so she wasn't worried. However, the moment they sat down, Priscilla was immediately bombarded with questions. "I see that you've figured out who I am. You don't seem out to kill me immediately so what is your game? Are you the one who's been leaving residual signatures of reiatsu on our patrols?" Priscilla simply nodded. [smear:ff80ff]"You betcha I am! Pretty cool huh? Considering you[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]said 'signatures', I'm guessing you're not sure how I did it~?"[/smear:603300]
Priscilla simply giggled. Espionage, stealth and infiltration were her specialty. Sure, she was zealously overconfident about her own abilities regarding the last three weeks, but fact of the matter was that she was good. She picked up a menu, and started to glance over it, a self-confident smile still on her face. [smear:ff80ff]"And you're absolutely correct, by the way! I'm not really looking to kill you at all, if I'm being honest! Though, you being a Shinigami[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]and me being a Quincy kinda complicates things a bit for us... we could be like forbidden friends!"[/smear:603300] Once again, Priscilla couldn't help but giggle a bit.
She returned her gaze to Celes with an analytical look in her eyes. After a few seconds, a slight smirk rose to her face. [smear:ff80ff]"Confused... Maybe even[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]a little bit scared?"[/smear:603300] With this, she figured she'd joke with the shinigami just a little bit, as, through a bit of finer reiatsu control, applied a gravitational force upon her shoulders. Once again, nowhere near enough to immobilize her, but enough to freak her out a bit. [smear:ff80ff]"I'd like to know more about you, though! You give me information about yourself,[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]and I'll let you know a-nything that it is you wanna know! How's that sound?"[/smear:603300]
She eyed Celes up and down, still paying attention as to her stature, how she carried herself, among other things. [smear:ff80ff]"You're certainly not anything like the Shinigami I've been marking over the last three weeks... No, you carry a different air around you. Definitely an aura of [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]someone higher-up. And yet, I don't think you hold the rank of Captain. I haven't made nearly enough of an impact on Soul Society by myself to warrant a captain to arrive, have I? Hm, My guess is either a Third Seat, or..."[/smear:603300] she paused for dramatic effect, showing that this next guess was naturally the one she meant seriously, as a smirk rose to her face, [smear:ff80ff]"you're a[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff] Vice Captain."[/smear:603300]

There was something about this woman that bothered Celes. She couldn't put her finger on it, but it almost seemed that she was being toyed with. Those who truly knew Celes also were aware that the Shinigami had a bit of a temper in certain situations. This was beginning to become one of those. Her breathing slowly began to rise and she narrowed her gaze upon the Quincy as she spoke. [smear:ff80ff]"You betcha I am! Pretty cool huh? Considering you[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]said 'signatures', I'm guessing you're not sure how I did it~?"[/smear:603300]
There was certainly an element of truth to the comment. Celes did not know how she did it. After all, she was not a spiritually inclined fighter. She had little sensory to speak of and quite frankly had little reason to invest in much, but her physical capabilities. Celes was a force to be reckoned with if she got into someone's space. After all, she had free reign to do basically whatever she wanted at that point. Celes continued to feel the pressure, but it felt much more focused. Almost as if it was around her shoulders. Clearly this Quincy showed incredible skill and Celes would have to be on her toes. For now, she continued to listen.
[smear:ff80ff]"And you're absolutely correct, by the way! I'm not really looking to kill you at all, if I'm being honest! Though, you being a Shinigami[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]and me being a Quincy kinda complicates things a bit for us... we could be like forbidden friends!"[/smear:603300] This is what truly intrigued Celes. She not only admitted to being a Quincy, but allegedly felt no ill will towards the Shinigami. Just who was she? Celes, due to her time at the Academy and training knew of two different kinds of Quincy. Her entire demeanor struck Celes as odd. Though it seemed that she wasn't done talking.
[smear:ff80ff]"Confused... Maybe even[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]a little bit scared?"[/smear:603300] Blinking, Celes could tell that she was without a doubt referring to her. Celes tapped her fingers on the table somewhat with a bit of force. Assuming that Priscilla was leaning on the table or had any body part against it, she would feel it rumble. In fact, it would feel like the table was about to break in two with those taps. This was how Celes showed her own form of menace.
This Quincy was underestimating her and toying with her. The Shinigami did not take too kindly to this and if they would end up fighting, Celes would be sure to put her into her place. Despite this, and no matter how much she tried, Celes would display her feelings of both fear and awe. In some ways, she was impressed with the silvertongue of this Quincy. On the other hand, she felt that she was just a toy for this Quincy and that was an idea that Celes loathed.
As Celes heard Priscilla's question, she would answer promptly. "More about me...?" This was dangerous. Celes did her best to remain as vague as possible. Even despite her own fear, something about this woman seemed awfully alluring. It was as if Celes could confide in her. "Well..my name is Celes. I am a member of the 13 Court Guard Squads. Combat is a bit of a passion of mine..." Celes would trail off as something was bothering her. Why was she telling this Quincy who she was. She was the enemy and more importantly, the target of this mission.
Shaking her head a bit, the Shinigami breathed slowly to emulate her martial arts training. She needed to keep a clear mind if she was to deal with Priscilla. Celes then continued. "Enough about me..what about yourself? What are those little trails you left on our patrols for? Are you a..." Celes would narrow her eyes as she prepared herself. "Are you a member of that Vandenreich? That kind of Quincy or do you refer to yourself as one who is not bound to them?" She decided to not be insulting to them as Celes didn't know how she would react.
Waiting to see how Priscilla would answer, Celes finally heard something that made her grit her teeth a little. Hm, My guess is either a Third Seat, or..."[/smear:603300] Celes was both suprised and a bit insulted. Was she not good enough for this woman? Was she hoping for a Captain instead? The nerve of this woman. She then heard the final piece of analysis. [smear:ff80ff]"you're a[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff] Vice Captain."[/smear:603300]
The Shinigami would look at Priscilla with a dark glare. "You really seem to think you're cute don't you? As if you know everything. Tell me, were you looking forward for a Captain? Think that you were good enough for that? Well tough luck sweetie, you got stuck with me. I don't think that a Captain should have to waste their time with you so they sent me. A Vice Captain. And I would hope that you do not underestimate or else you may regret it." Celes was visibly upset now and was waiting to see how she would be responded to.

Priscilla smiled as she was able to get a bit of information about of Celes. "Well..my name is Celes. I am a member of the 13 Court Guard Squads. Combat is a bit of a passion of mine..." She heard the girl trail off, and noticed a bit of disdain in the Shinigami's voice. She continued to watch her, expecting her to say more, but was somewhat unsurprised when she stopped speaking. Perhaps she knew what she was getting into by sharing more information? It was hard to say, but she'd keep an eye on her nonetheless.
"Enough about me..what about yourself? What are those little trails you left on our patrols for?" A smile persisted on Priscilla's face as she couldn't help but giggle. "Are you a member of that Vandenreich? That kind of Quincy or do you refer to yourself as one who is not bound to them?" She was actually rather excited to talk about herself. [smear:ff80ff]"Well, if you must know, my name is Priscilla. I am, in fact, a member of the Vandenreich. I'm in my[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]early twenties, enjoy writing, reading, and carrying out the will of the Holy Emperor."[/smear:603300] She couldn't help but enjoy messing with this Shinigami. It was quite fun, especially while she had been getting a reaction from her to begin with, all the while carefully dancing around her motivations.
Then, she had heard something that opened her eyes come from the Shinigami after making an accurate observation. She was growing more and more upset by the minute! She couldn't help but laugh; not the same standard giggling that she had been doing, but to bust out into full-on laughter. [smear:ff80ff]"Oh, my[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]dearest Celes,"[/smear:603300] she started, [smear:ff80ff]"I promise you I'm not underestimating you, I had you sized up the moment you [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]tried to sneak up behind me. If you'd like some tips on stalking a target, I may be inclined to aid you!"[/smear:603300]
And with that, she slowly stood up, letting out a sigh after stretching, keeping her eyes on Celes the entire time. If the girl had been paying attention, she might have noticed a wave of reiatsu surging toward Priscilla, as though she had been drawing it from the very world around them. [smear:ff80ff]"Come[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]now,"[/smear:603300] she started, [smear:ff80ff]"I've grown tired of the hostility. Show we carry out what [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]you're here for? Shall we engage one another in an unavoidable skirmish?"[/smear:603300] A smug grin rose to her face as she walked out the door, grabbing a receipt off of someone's table all the while.
She'd kept her sensory skills honed in on Celes the entire time, as to be prepared for any attempt for her to rush in against her. She'd make sure not to be blindsided by the girl, and as such, prepared he body to "dematerialize" at a moment's notice if she needed to. She wasn't going to let some Shinigami blindside her if she didn't need to. As she left, she turned around to face Celes, whether or not she had actually left the building, and prepared for a fight at hand.
{Reiatsu Pool & Paper Count}Reiatsu Pool: 3,550 +200 for Spirit Fragment & Quincy Cross -400 for Heart Property -100 for Form Property -150 for Firing Property
{Form - Paperwave}Upon activating this property, all of Priscilla’s arrows become made of Reiatsu-strengthened paper. Each arrow is formed from a single 8.5 in. x 11 in. piece of paper, and as such, is much smaller than a standard arrow. This smaller size, however, allows it to fly through the air at a much quicker speed, travelling at a speed of 1000 in a straight line while this property is active. These arrows cost double that of normal arrows. Additionally, when detonated through the innate Vandenreich ability, these paper arrows will “splinter” off, causing anything in a 2x2 square foot area to suffer a large amount of spiritually-strengthened papercuts equal to Priscilla’s OS. Each of these arrows counts as one piece of paper for the purpose of her other properties.
{Firing - Queen of the Written Word}After activating this property, Priscilla’s bow effectively disappears. Instead, Priscilla is given the option to fire her arrows by launching folded sheets of paper toward her targets. If her Class 6 property is not active, then these sheets of paper will form into standard Quincy arrows mid-flight, requiring a reiatsu cost equal to the cost of the arrows be paid for this transformation. If her Class 6 property is active, then these paper arrows have no cost in order to be fired. Additionally, by forcing her reiatsu on sheets of paper she isn’t touching within her line of sight, for the cost of firing an arrow, she can cause them to fold and be held around her, allowing them to be fired for the standard cost of using arrows without any sort of somatic requirement or hand movement. Using this effect requires both her Class 6 and Class 5 properties to be active. To make use of her Class 5 property at all, Priscilla must have some amount of paper on her, or paper must be somewhere she can see.
{Heart - Author's Blessing}Through this property, Priscilla is able to turn herself into what is effectively living paper. At any point while this property is active, Priscilla is able to instantaneously convert and disperse parts, or all of her body into sheets of paper. One limb can be converted into 500 sheets of paper. A smaller part of a limb, like a hand or a foot, is equal to 100. Her head & neck, and her torso can be converted into 500 sheets, respectively. Her whole body can be converted into 3000 sheets of paper collectively. There’s no reiatsu cost in order to convert these sections of her body into paper, but converting back into her normal form requires 1 point of reiatsu for each piece of paper used, totalling at 3000 for her entire body. Individual parts of her body can be converted into paper for an indefinite amount of time, though her head cannot stay in a paper form for more than two consecutive posts, else Priscilla will die. For the rest of her body to remain in a paper form effectively indefinitely, her head must be created somewhere, leaving her open for likely lethal attacks. In order to convert herself into paper, Priscilla must have enough reiatsu in her pool at time of conversion into paper to convert back. If she doesn’t have enough, she cannot disperse her body. Additionally, these sheets of paper function like the rest of the paper she can create, meaning it can still be destroyed with a strong enough attack. While her head is dispersed, or for a cost of 200 reiatsu every time she would like to, she is considered to be able to "see" from every sheet of paper she has laid out, acting as a way to keep track of the whereabouts of foes. While this property is active, Priscilla’s physical attacks made with her body use her OS instead of her strength.

Even despite her anger with the Quincy, Celes continued to listen to her talk about herself. [smear:ff80ff]"Well, if you must know, my name is Priscilla. I am, in fact, a member of the Vandenreich. I'm in my[/smear:ffffff] [smear:ffffff]early twenties, enjoy writing, reading, and carrying out the will of the Holy Emperor."[/smear:603300] Causing Celes to smirk a little, the Shinigami just knew that she was being messed with at this point. She still couldn't tell why she felt so ready to confide in Priscilla.
Whatever the reasoning was, Celes felt uncomfortable around the Quincy. Was it perhaps her calm and analyzing attitude? Maybe it was just the nature of the situation? The Vice Captain couldn't put her finger on it and she was growing more and more impatient. She had a duty to perform and she would do if it was the last thing she did. That's a virtue that she carried with her from Squad 11. To fight until the last of her blood were to drip upon the battlefield.
This next comment would be the final nail in the coffin, however. If you'd like some tips on stalking a target, I may be inclined to aid you!"[/smear:603300] Celes certainly wasn't the best at what she did when it came to stalking and infiltration, but this Quincy had her sized up? What was that supposed to mean?
Celes' tapping upon the table became a little more aggressive as this next time that she tapped, the table cracked down the middle. It seemed that Priscilla's words would punctuate this crack. [smear:ff80ff]"I've grown tired of the hostility. Show we carry out what [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]you're here for? Shall we engage one another in an unavoidable skirmish?"[/smear:603300] Celes' eyes narrowed as she looked at the Quincy quietly get up and leave the coffee shop.
By this point, the few denizens of the coffee shop were looking over at their table. Either through fear or indifference, they did not interfere with that appeared to be a heated conversation among them. Getting up and sliding her chair in, Celes proceeded to make her way out of the coffee shop. As she opened the door and exited, she noticed that the streets while having become more empty were still bustling full of people.
This would admittedly prove problematic. Celes could do her best to not put any civilians in the crossfire, but could she hope that Priscilla would do that same? Admittedly, she was not sure. That being said, Celes did notice little stands of reiatsu moving towards Camila. It was clear that she was preparing herself for the coming battle. Breathing out just like her exercises and disciplines taught her, Celes narrowed her eyes, focusing on her target with intent. She would need to gauge her opponent. Study her habits and reactions.
The next part that Priscilla and even a few passerby's would notice was rather neat. Celes' true form, that of a Soul Reaper would leap out of the Gigai. In almost an instant, the Gigai would burst into flame as there was now little trace of it. Priscilla would now see Celes in a black shihakusho which most Soul Reapers wore. Before initiating, Celes would speak. "Know that I will show you no quarter. You are a threat and need to be eliminated as per the Soul Society." Her twin Zanpakutou rested against her sides as she placed her hand on one of the sheaths, but she would not draw. Instead Priscilla would see Celes move towards her.
Celes was not just moving at a normal pace, however. She was running towards the Quincy at a full speed of 500. Within a few mere moments, Celes would be upon Priscilla as she expertly slithered around any passerbys in her full on blitz. Just before fully closing the distance, Celes unsheath her sword. Swordmasters would realize that this technique was well known in Iaijutsu and would typically be the first and only blow. She would purposefully not hit Priscilla and immediately dropped to her knees as the attack began. This was if Priscilla was still there, she would most like feel it. A burst of wind would release from Celes' Zanpakutou. It was not the Zanpakutou itself that would cause this, but her overwhelming strength. If Priscilla was still in its wake, she may have felt herself be launched up into the air by the shockwave. Assuming this was all successful, Celes would quickly take to the sky at an impressive speed of 500 yet again to try and stay as close as she could to Priscilla.

Priscilla couldn't help but chuckle while Celes prepared to make her approach. She knew that she wouldn't be fast enough on her own in order to dodge the girl, but it was something she could've easily seen coming. As such, she made no effort to get out of the way. She had her own plan, that was for certain. [smear:ff80ff]"Tell m[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]e, Celes,"[/smear:603300] Priscilla said, [smear:ff80ff]"surely you've re[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]ad The Art of War, yeah?"[/smear:603300] Unfortunately this was all she could get out, before the Shinigami was upon her. She couldn't help but smirk.
With an absolutely astounding burst of wind and pressure, nearly anyone would've been forced into the air, especially someone as frail as Priscilla. It should've taken her into the air, and yet, it didn't take herinto the air. The moment she would've been launched, her body just... dispersed. As though thousands of sheets of paper had been effortlessly stacked into an exactly identical shape and color of her, seeming to not only defy gravity with some sheets, but also likely confusing just about anyone she'd be up against.
As these sheets of paper seemed to swirl in the air around Celes, if the Shinigami was paying attention and able to count every individual sheet, she'd see there'd be around 3000 of them, each one snow white in color. As they flew through the air, Priscilla would speak. Though, interestingly enough, to the Shinigami, her voice was likely able to be heard from seemingly every sheet of paper. [smear:ff80ff]"Well, whether you have or not, please take heed to keep this in mind; those who are sk[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]illed in producing surprises will win. Such tacticians are as versatile as the changes in heaven and earth!"[/smear:603300]
As her words began to wrap up, 10 sheets of paper would fold itself over, forming a thin point and resting around Celes pointing directly at her while every other sheet would continue flying around her, aiming to take her attention off of these ten that had been ready. If any passerby had been practically on top of Celes, these sheets were likely to cut them as they continued to fly through the air. From there, ten of them would begin to launch from seemingly random points all around the makeshift dome she had created, straight for Celes at a speed of 1000. As those ten arrows had been prepped to fire, a small chunk of 500 sheets would disperse, and seem to just vanish into thin-air. What had actually been happening was an innate cloaking property that each sheet of paper she created held, but to the naked eye these sheets would be practically untraceable.
Small particles of reiatsu began to draw in toward every single sheet of paper, as Priscilla began to make use of innate ability to draw in reiatsu. She was rather excited to see how Celes was going to react to this situation, and if nothing else would serve as a phenomenal aid to studying her person. Due to the way her paper had worked, she could effectively "see" from each and every sheet she had set out. She was far from the strongest individual, but her control over a battlefield was incomparable; well, at least within those she'd met in the Vandenreich.
After her arrows had been fired, around 100 sheets of paper began to disperse around the city block, and once again seemed to just vanish. Her "cameras" had been set up; no matter where she decided to re-form, Priscilla now had vision around the entire area; there would be absolutely no blindsiding her. She was ready for what was to come, and still rather excited to engage the Shinigami. She'd thought of the perfect way to continue to mess with her head, and couldn't wait to employ those.

As Celes went in for her strike, she was almost confident that Priscilla would be knocked into the air. While Priscilla claimed she was able to size up Celes, Celes was able to size up her opponents physically. Be it through clashes of strength or overall physical build, Celes had a pretty good idea of what it meant and looked like to be physically strong. Most Shinigami relied on ranged tactics such as Kido and ranged Zanpakutou, but Celes knew that her own durability and strength made up for what she lacked in Kido.
Though it seemed that she was mistaken. Despite the fact that her speed and strength should normally be enough to overwhelm anyone, Priscilla was not the same type of individual. In fact, Celes would notice Priscilla to discorporate and split into paper. This alone took Celes by surprise. This was notably different than anyone else she had fought. Typically she was used to fighting physical bodies, but this was a swarm of paper.
Celes, now looking around her, was becoming surrounded by what appeared to be hundreds, no thousands of pieces of paper. A look of concern appeared on the Shinigami's face. She was fearless and had the resolve to fight through just about anything, but this was unlike anything that she had ever encountered. Thanks to her skill in battle, Celes could divulge a number of things about this reaction. Mainly that this Quincy seemed to be a fighter focusing on taking on multiple opponents. This was both dangerous and ideal for Celes.
It was then that the Shinigami noticed a peculiar set of 10 papers folding and beginning to move with the sea of papers. However, even Celes' eyes had difficulty picking up on the 10 specific sets of paper among the thousands that enveloped her. Finally, Celes noted what appeared to be hundreds of more papers dispersing out of the dome and suddenly disappearing from sight. This further led to worry the Shinigami.
It was then that Priscilla seemed to launch her attack. 10 different arrows would fire from 10 different angles. It was then that Celes' experience came into play. Through years of hardship and battle, Celes had built up an instinct for tactics. This was her sixth sense coming into play as she would make very subtle shifts in parts of her body to avoid a number of arrows. At best, these arrows would graze her. At worst, they would miss her entirely. That only accounted for some of the arrows, however, as Celes could certainly not dodge them all.
Some of the arrows would dig into her skin causing Celes to wince. A few around her arms, one in her shoulder and another in her leg. Though the battle-hardened warrior despite the pain that they caused eased her breathing and was able to relax herself enough to stay in control. After all, those that lost their temper would be doomed to recklessness. Celes' had little experience dealing with Quincies, but she certainly did not want to remain in this little death trap.
It seemed that Priscilla was not done taunting her, however as she began to recite a part of the Art of War. [smear:ff80ff]"Well, whether you have or not, please take heed to keep this in mind; those who are sk[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]illed in producing surprises will win. Such tacticians are as versatile as the changes in heaven and earth!"[/smear:603300] Celes knew it well. After all, she was a student of war and her Zanpakutou represented the ferocity of a warrior.
With a quick movement, Celes would suddenly disappear from sight to most. Celes was already fast, but a Shunpo allowed her to carry herself at incomprehensible speeds to most. Moving at speeds of 5000, Celes would aim to clear the dome. After all, it was paper and had no true hard form. Assuming that this assumption was correct and Celes was successful, she would wince a little as she darted past the perimeter of the dome.
Continuing her movement, she would jump up onto a building, but not before turning around. Unsheathing her other Zanpakutou as well, Celes would unleash a number of shockwaves that would dart towards the dome of papers. About 4 shockwaves were now headed Priscilla's way if she was able to do all that she aimed to do. Finally, Celes aim to land ontop of a building. Celes needed to get her away from civilians so that she could hope to fight without needed to hold back.

As Celes darted the dome, Priscilla's papers immediately launched outward and dispersed through the area, in every possible direction except upwards. [smear:ff80ff]"Oh, po[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]or Celes,"[/smear:603300] Priscilla had said, as these sheets of paper launched all over the place, spearing through any and every passerby that had been in the area, [smear:ff80ff]"I thought you wanted to keep casualties to a minimum? Why don't you make your way [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]back over here so that way more innocent lives don't have to be lost, hmm?"[/smear:603300]
Every sheet of paper that had been thrown outward began to close in, and throw itself together into some sort of amalgamation of paper. Slowly but surely, it began to take the form of what appeared to be the lower body of some kind of Shinigami, though without a head. The rest of the body, however, seemed to be completely... "normal", like it hadn't been made of paper not ten seconds ago. [smear:ff80ff]"How about [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]this, love,"[/smear:603300] Priscilla began, with those 500 sheets that seemed to disappear forming over the body's shoulders, [smear:ff80ff]"I'll even fight you up close and personal! How's that sound?"[/smear:5cd72a]
As a head now formed atop the body, something rather odd happened not only with Priscilla's voice, but with the head that had formed as well. "Priscilla" was now nowhere to be found. Instead, what appeared to be an exact replica of Celes was in her place. Her appearance had been the exact same, and even her voice had been matched to a tee. From a first glance, there'd be nothing to distinguish the two of them; she'd effectively made herself a perfect imitation of Celes.
Drawing a "sword" - naturally constructed from paper - that resembled Celes' Zanpakuto, she pointed it at the Shinigami. "Well? Just let me know when you're ready to fight up close and personal, and I'll be happy to oblige. After all, who better to spar with than yourself, yeah? Let's just see how well you can fight yourself, Celes!" As she had said this, the remainder of the 1400 sheets of paper splintered out all across the block, once again putting forth the effort to cloak each and every one of them. They'd absolutely be useful later on, and Priscilla knew exactly how to make sure of that. All she could do now was wait for Celes to approach, as reiatsu began to pump from the area around her into Priscilla's "body".

1,500 Sheets of Paper surrounding the block. 1,000 Sheets of Paper used for Power Property.
{Power Property} Class 4 - Power - Spiritual Plagiarism - While this property is active, Priscilla can reshape her paper into various constructs. These constructs can be used to fight for her, to bind targets, or even create defensive structures. These structures have a pool of SP equal to the amount of reiatsu put into creating one. In order to create a construct, Priscilla must spend reiatsu in order to form the paper needed to pay for the construct. Additionally, every piece of paper already created that is used to form a construct increases the SP of the construct by 1 per piece of paper. A construct can have a maximum SP of 1000, to be spent among Strength, Speed, and Reiatsu Strength, and is not subject to a limit as to what these numbers can be, so long as the total values of them equal 1000 or less. These constructs do not act automatically, and must be mentally controlled by Priscilla, like that of a puppet. If she isn’t fast enough to perceive an attack, and wouldn’t be fast enough to act accordingly to said attack, then the construct does not have a semblance of a chance to do so either. If she cannot focus enough to command a construct, then a construct cannot be commanded. Any of Priscilla’s Bow Properties that can affect her, or are used from her location can also affect a construct, or be used from a construct’s location as well. These constructs can take any shape, and the colors of these specific sheets of paper can be changed for a cost of 100 reiatsu per construct in order to replicate the appearance of people or common structures. These appearances are almost indistinguishable from the copied person or structure, unless inspected with a 3 in Focused Eye or Anti-Stealth. These constructs persist should this property be toggled off, but this property needs to be active to be able to create these constructs to begin with.

As Celes cleared the dome of paper that Priscilla had erected and found herself atop a building, it seemed that Priscilla would this this opportunity to keep up her games though in a much more sinister way. As the Shinigami looked down upon the streets she would have a shocked expression. It seemed that all passerbys that were in the area would be speared by pieces of paper, wracking up the number of casualties to dozens in an isntant.
Blinking in horror and shock, she would hear Priscilla continue to tease her. [smear:ff80ff]"I thought you wanted to keep casualties to a minimum? Why don't you make your way [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]back over here so that way more innocent lives don't have to be lost, hmm?"[/smear:603300] It was at this point that Celes gritted her teeth. It seemed that there was nothing that the Vandenreich wouldn't do. Even to innocents. In some ways, this caused Celes to truly become angry. True warriors do not use hostages or harm others to bring out the opposition.
It was at this point that Celes also took note of the swirls of paper that were beginning to form what appeared to be an individual. Swirling in a symphony of white and red as blood was still dripping off of the sheets of paper, Celes watched as they formed into what appeared to be a Shihakusho. This was already becoming concerning to Celes. What was her plan? Was she looking to imitate something? Was this a move to taunt her? Celes was not sure.
Even despite her concerns and confusion, Celes would be able to hear Priscilla speak rather clearly. [smear:ff80ff]"I'll even fight you up close and personal! How's that sound?"[/smear:5cd72a] While this was something that Celes felt was much more up her alley, she was shocked at what she saw and heard. Celes was able to hear her own voice. It was not coming from her, however. It was beginning to come from the formation of papers as Priscilla dissapeared.
It was then that Celes saw herself. Not only was her voice being imitated, but her body as well. The imitation would draw a blade which appeared similar to Celes Zanpakutou. It was truly at this point that Celes was gritting her teeth while she listened to Priscilla attempting to draw her in. "Well? Just let me know when you're ready to fight up close and personal, and I'll be happy to oblige. After all, who better to spar with than yourself, yeah? Let's just see how well you can fight yourself, Celes!"
Even Celes could see this as a trap, but she had little choice. Not only was she an expert in the martial discipline and enjoyed fighting in close quarters, but she was also someone to both hate those that threatened the innocent and those that taunted her. Celes dropped from the building, but as she hit the sidewalk, Celes landing would cause the ground itself to crack and splinter. Her eyes were filled with anger.
For once, she would speak up ever since their fight began. "You claim to dislike the prospect of violence yet you dare kill the innocent in your little game. You then dare to claim that your imitation measures up to me? Let me tell you something Priscilla. I wanted this to be without bloodshed, but I've decided that you are not worth the gift of life that we are all given. If I can help, you will lay dead before me." The normally gentle warrior would be seething and anyone could see it.
As Celes began to walk forward at a slow pace, she stopped once she was on the edge of the sidewalk. If Priscilla was listening, she would be able to hear the Shinigami chant somewhat. "By blood may my spear earn its name. By Aries, may my shield carry my broken body home. Name me the Goddess of War..." She once again made eye contact and held one of her Zanpakutou out to side as she punctuated her sentence. "Yunorashi."
A burst of what felt like heat would begin to emanate from Celes as a bright red light enveloped her. As it shone into the sky, Priscilla would most likely recognize this as a Zanpakutou release phrase. As the light became snuffed out, Celes stood before Priscilla, but with a different set of weapons. One of her blades had become a copper-colored spear with a red sash wrapped around the base of the blade. Meanwhile her other Zanpakutou had become a large shield, looking as though it were capable of defending all of Celes' upper body. At first looking down, the Shinigami would raise herself to her feet.
It was at this point that Celes was done talking. She saw her quarry and knew what she had to do. It was with a quick motion that Celes ran at the copy of herself with a speed of 500. Just as before, she would in a heartbeat be upon her target. Using her shield, Celes would aim to slam it into her shameless copies' head, looking to stagger it somewhat. If this was successful, Celes would look to run this cooy through with her spear. It was a brutal combination if successful and was truly a display of what Celes represented.

Interestingly enough, Priscilla stood there watching Celes as she began to release. During this time, Priscilla would take the time to draw in Reiatsu from the area around them. She'd need it, after all, as her reserves were already starting to get somewhat low. She didn't enjoy exerting herself to an extreme extent, but knew it was necessary for the time being for her to do so. She'd need to toy with the girl's head to the best of her ability, and was going to take every opportunity in order to do so.
As Celes began to charge Priscilla, the Quincy did nothing more but smirk. She was ready for the approach, and she'd absolutely be quick enough now in order to get out of the way, thanks to her "augmented" body. As Celes closed the distance between the two of them and went in to bash her in the head, Priscilla took a step back in order to dodge the blow. "Too slow there, love!" Priscilla shouted, smiling at Celes. As she spoke, Celes had moved forward and used that spear of hers to run the dummy body through.
Priscilla looked down with melancholic disinterest. "How about that," she said, "looks as though I've been impaled. Interesting little tactic, I'll give you that, Celes." With that said, she gripped her hand tightly around the shaft of the spear, and did what she could to inch the Shinigami closer, further running the body through with the spear. If Celes was willing to give a bit and allow it to happen, Priscilla wouldn't bother raising her voice. However if she backed off, Priscilla would simply shout what she was going to say next.
"So, what was that about me laying dead before you, Celes? You must really think you're hot stuff, hmm? Being able to take on someone so significantly out of your league? Well, let me tell you, dear, if I can help it, you'll be battered and broken by the time I'm through with you. But don't you dare think for a second that I'll give you an honorable defeat; that just wouldn't befit someone like you, now would it dear?" With that, Priscilla would smirk. She was truly excited for this fight, and was now starting to get pumped up!
If her grip was currently around Celes' spear, that grip would tighten. If not, and the Shinigami backed off, Priscilla would put that 700 speed to good use as she'd attempt to "counterblitz" the girl, aiming to appear behind her and get a good grip on her shoulder. Either way, she'd look to make pure physical contact with the girl or her release weapon, but not necessarily through malicious means. No, she had an entirely different plan in mind; her goal was to peer straight into the girl's soul. She'd really look to see what made her tick.

As Celes went for her one-two punch, it seemed that Priscilla had the sudden speed to evade the slam. Despite this, she was not adept enough at close-ranged combat as Celes had thought at first. It seemed that despite her imitating Celes appearance and Zanpakutou, she could not make up for Celes' experience. Though something was weird about this situation. As Celes ran her imitation through, Priscilla looked down at the spear with a certain focus.
It seemed that despite her being run through, she felt the need to congratulate Celes. "looks as though I've been impaled. Interesting little tactic, I'll give you that, Celes." Celes presumed that this was just as before, some form of a comment to just get her off of her guard. Celes, however, would remain resolute. She vowed to kill her quarry and she would surely attempt to do. Especially after the Quincy showed some of her true colors.
She was hyper fixated on the Quincy and as such, even the subtlest movement would scream out to her. With that being said, Celes noted as Priscilla looked to want to grap her spear. Not liking the implication of it, Celes would retract the spear with impressive speed and strength. Even if Priscilla would have been able to grab her spear, this cheap imitation did not have nearly the strength of Celes. That being said, Celes would do her best to kick back off of the ground and zip backwards. As she did this, however, she would hear the Quincy speak.
"So, what was that about me laying dead before you, Celes? You must really think you're hot stuff, hmm? Being able to take on someone so significantly out of your league? Well, let me tell you, dear, if I can help it, you'll be battered and broken by the time I'm through with you. But don't you dare think for a second that I'll give you an honorable defeat; that just wouldn't befit someone like you, now would it dear?"
Celes was split at this point. She was not sure if she had the strength to take on this Quincy and her unique sets of abilities yet her pride and honor would never allow her to withdraw. She was a Shinigami. A vanguard standing between the doors of the living and the dead. This Quincy had not only slain innocents, but evidently kept trying to toy with Celes. Even now she claimed that she was leagues above Celes. A Vice Captain of the Soul Society. No, Celes would not let this stand.
Once Priscilla finished her little speech, it seemed that she wanted to stay close to Celes. Using her superior speed to Celes, the imitation would get behind Celes and the Shinigami was on red alert. As she twisted her body and assuming that Priscilla was still attempting to touch Celes as she was so confident in her speed, Celes would use a Shunpo once more, but this was no ordinary Shunpo. It was a unique one that Celes valued in combination with her strength.
If Priscilla remained in close proximity, as soon as Celes executed her Shunpo, Priscilla would find a violent wave of air push her away. This shockwave of air, being equal to Celes' physical strength would almost certainly knock her back. This was not the end of it, however. At the end of the day, it was still a Shunpo and Celes would use this speed of 5000 to her advantage. Assuming that Priscilla was knocked back, she would quickly dart around the imitation, a dozen meters back so she was now behind her quarry.
Ordinarily, an airborne target like this would be moving to fast for Celes to follow-up, but Celes would utilize yet another Shunpo. Assuming that Priscilla would be knocked backwards into Celes, the Shinigami would raise her leg so her foot was closer to her head. It was then that Celes would utilize a Shunpo Karin to speed up the movement of this leg. It would rocket down at a speed of 5000 as well, looking to smash against where Priscilla's spine would be. If it connected, the imitation would surely rocket into the ground. If this did all work out, Celes would gasp as she knelt in midair. This combination of physical exertion, even for someone like her was tiring.
The "exploding Shunpo" technique. This allows the user, for a cost of 150 Reiatsu, to initiate a Shunpo. This Shunpo releases far more power, so anywhere within a meter of the user will be hit with an explosive shockwave equivalent to the user's physical Strength when the Shunpo is used.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Drawback:
Stamina drain. Reiatsu cost. Can only be used twice per post.
The famous "partial Shunpo" technique. This allows the user to initiate a single movement at Shunpo speed with one limb. This cannot be used without initiating the forward momentum. The user will need to move their arm the way they normally would before this technique can be activated. Momentum for this technique cannot be controlled. This means once the user initiates this technique, they cannot stop their limb from the movement.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Drawback:
Also stated above. Higher Reiatsu cost than normal Shunpo. Limit is once per post. More taxing on stamina than regular Shunpo.
