Plotline: Over the last several years there have been encounters with Beast-Clan of an Insect nature that seemingly all are identical. These Beasts have attacked several Rukongai districts either heavily damaging them or wiping them out completely. Forcing promising Shinigami and even Vice Captains to the edge of defeat. Although the majority appear the same there are accounts of differences regarding physiology, wings, abnormal size, etc. Over a year ago dozens of small groups were sent into the wilds of Soul Society to find these Beasts, capturing & eliminating as many as possible. Successfully capturing and bringing back the body of one yielded some information gained from Division 12.

These Beasts are very dangerous with a highly developed form of Instincts and Analytical abilities. No saying how smart they really are nor what they want only that they are quick to figure things out and they all seem to possess incredible strength and speed far outclassing the average Shinigami.

NOTICE! THEY ALL SEEMINGLY CAN ADAPT AND DEVELOP ABILITIES SIMILAR TO THOSE THEY EXPERIENCE.

It is now just before dawn, at around midnight reports came in that the Rukongai Districts to the South were suffering attacks. Nothing like normal though, wasting no time spreading out and eliminating the souls in each District, traveling through them all and heading right towards the Seireitei. Based on the reports the Beasts are coming with unexpected numbers. All available Shinigami are to report to the Southern Gate in preparation for battle. Be vigilant these Beasts seek to destroy the Seireitei itself.

Starts: Participants can post freely until 2/27/2021 at which point the attack will commence.
Special Conditions: This will be an incredible difficult thread that may require teamwork, but does require attention. There will be no posting order like normal. Instead there will be two specific turns! One turn which will take place over the course of a full week for Soul Society. After that I’ll post as the DM. Participants will receive guaranteed special rewards based on performance in this thread.

Certainly not what was to be expected from the mighty Shinigami! Moving through the streets of the Rukongai District for the last several hours dozens of Roaches enclosed the southern gate of the Seireitei. In the past these Beasts attacked everything and everyone they came across reducing villages to nothing. Even succeeding in destroying several of the most outer districts of the southern Rukongai in the last few years. Now though they ignored the citizens that closed themselves off in their homes. These Beasts starred at the wall that defended the enemy. They were here to eliminate them forever.

It took a few minutes but eventually the couple dozen Roaches stood at the edge of the housing line and clearing of the gate. The open space was bigger than a football field in the human world, but yet it would seem so small now. The gate was down protecting everyone within from attack yet could it withstand the light of the Roaches that had come here now. Walking slowly the Roaches would reach the gate noticing no movement nor appearance from any Shinigami. Where were they? What were they doing? The Roaches cared not. These things had been attacking them, reducing their numbers and thus it was time to eliminate them and flourish from their absence.

Once they reached the gate one of the Roaches would waste no time punching the object at full strength. Not enough to break down the massive reinforced doorway. However, despite that the substance of the gate suffered. From one strike to a second and then a fourth, additional Roaches joined in until after a few moments a dozen of them hit in unison. Splintering, injuring, killing the gate that protected the Shinigami behind it. It wouldn’t take much longer now for the gate to reach its limit and the Roaches to gain entrance into the heart of the Shinigami.
