Thread Title: Noveno
Participants: Ailene Haschiro vs Lagos Oscuras
World: Hueco Mundo
Death Setting: Non Death Enabled
Rating: R
Location: A clear and seemingly open area of desert sand underneath the artificial sun created by Kouhai. There are a variety of rolling dunes of sand and little impediment between the two fighters to greet each other face to face. Special Conditions: If Lagos Oscuras defeats her opponent, she is free to take the title of the Noveno Espada.
Circumstances: Lagos Oscuras upon hearing of the end of Shikihitsuko Isayama in a state of shock, but also conflicted relief has returned to Los Noches in pursuit of returning home and pursuing power through gaining the long coveted rank and dream of Espada. Looking to measure herself to the current positions of Espada. Deciding to measure herself to the weakest of Kouhai's servants, she looks to return with a bang, and a notable one. Hueco Mundo is a place of Darwinism, survival of the fittest where the strong survive, and the Espada are not so different.
Thus. The fighters meet.

Lagos in a sense was nothing short of glad to be returned back to her home. The rolling dunes and the orderly, almost pasty walls of the buildings in the distance, even though it was underneath the reign of a filthy Shinigami. There was no doubt about her discontent. However, over time, she had learned something. A revelation at that. Perhaps even a divine one considering the journey she had to take to learn it. Everyone was a dog to something, loyal to something, and those loyalties were ever shifting. Even if one didn't realize it, their nature was shifting. That was the case of Lagos Oscuras now..looking at the imagination of a foe that was not yet there.
Donning the torn remnants of her original Arrancar uniform, she awaits for her opponent, as the challenge for the position was set out, her hands neatly folded behind her back, and with it, her eerie yellow eyes scan the horizon with an overall gaze of indifference for the momentary, though deep down inside of herself, she had a feral aggression that was looking to build and break out. She could almost feel her tail wag with excitement, much to her chagrin. After all this time. After all this time. She was back.
Back and ready to fight to earn her position as an Espada, a position of power that she realized was an essential. It wasn't just about the power or the privileges, but about the potential growth it would allow her to have and clout. Influence...and the opportunity to fight stronger and stronger opponents until she could reach that pinnacle point. Her left hand absentmindedly leaves her back to brush the handle of her katana blade, and with it, she was so eager and excited by the prospect of this moment.
The Rapture. When and if confronted, the Arrancar known as Lagos momentarily shuffles her foot in the sand with her white and black boots, shifting her weight onto her right leg as she speaks out. "My name is Lagos Oscuras." She no longer said the title of Fraccion, of which she was no longer, nor the man whom had betrayed her and discarded her. Lagos was here now as herself. "Are you ready?"

Within the depths of Las Noches, the home of the Espada, the halls were quiet. Not a single sound could be heard except for the small clack of footsteps. Throughout the halls, one could find the current Noveno Espada, Ailene. It hasn't been too long since her creation at the hands of Kazuna and his sister, but the short time she did have she used to study, research and make connections. Atleast that was her plan, but it seems that Hueco Mundo used an all too familiar ideology and the Espada were not safe from it.
For once, Ailene would make her way to the white desert of the land of Hueco Mundo to meet someone in combat. Such was the way of the Espada. Power was coveted, craved. To usurp another, a contest of sorts had to be held. One of strength and strategy. As Ailene reached one of the many windows that reached out into the deserts of Hueco Mundo, Ailene would simply walk off the edge. In an instant, Ailene would find herself falling before rotating. Within a few mere moments, the Espada's feet made contact with the sand.
As Ailene made her way into the unforgiving desert of Hueco Mundo, she would keep her hand on the hilt of her blade. Besides her challenger, a number of Hollows were bound to move around the deserts, on the lookout to devour anything that seemed vulnerable. As Ailene made it across one of the dunes, she would note a figure. An arrancar. This one was a woman and had delightful teal hair with a rather interesting outfit. Given the circumstances, Ailene could assume that this was her opponent.
The cautious Noveno Espada would slide down the dune, no doubt garnering the attention of the opposing Arrancar. As Ailene came into view, she could hear the voice of this figure call out to her. "My name is Lagos Oscuras." It seems that unlike most of the fabled order, this one atleast had the manners to show a modicum of respect to her opponent, even if her intentions were crystal clear. With the modicum of sensory skills that Ailene had, she could tell that her opponent was not to be trifled with. In truth, she did not know much about her skills, abilities or even her general power level. It was a hunch.
It seems that this one was straight to business. Ailene heard just a little more from her opponent. "Are you ready?" Ailene could only shake her head as she stared down Lagos, standing a good 20 feet from her. She wanted to keep enough distance to be able to garner her motives, but not be susceptible to a potential strength contest. After all, Ailene knew that she was heavily outclassed by most Espada, hell even most Arrancar in the strength department. Her eyes narrowed as she was preparing her answer.
With a calm and rather silky voice, Ailene would speak. "A pleasure to meet you Lagos. As you most likely know, I am the Noveno Espada, Ailene Haschiro. You are not the first Arrancar to oppose me for my position and you will not be the last. Admittedly, I do not seek any hostilities with you and while I do wish that we could just talk this over, I do not suppose that you are too interested in that proposition." While talking, Ailene would stand in a rather relaxed stance, her hand near the hilt of her blade if the Arrancar opposite from her tried anything funny.

When introduced to the woman before her, it was truly a shame that such a lovely figure was to be her opponent. Lagos typically didn't like to hurt pretty things, especially pretty women. However, in this case, it was quite literally about a position of power. A show of strength. "Not the last...Is that so?..." She gives an almost feral grin, her eerie eyes looking out at her opponent at that prospect. With it, she tilts her head, the seeming skull of a fox acting as her mask, almost like a helmet upon her form.
"You've only made me excited " With the next moment, Lagos would seemingly vanish from sight. Faster than what most Hollows here could grasp, but what was incredibly odd about the instance was that Lagos made no noise in her movement, gave hardly the notion she had prepared to move as she appears beneath Ailene in a pseudo crouch. In that next moment, her right leg shoots straight upwards with an odd flexibility, looking to slam her opponent's jaw, attempting to send her shooting like a bullet into the sky, a small shockwave as the air pushes down on her in a resistance.
One thing that Ailene might not have noticed is that other than the impact of the kick? The kick was incredibly hard. Enforced by the power of Lagos' Hierro, it likely felt more as if she was being kicked in the face by a dense metal bar than a foot. However, almost immediately afterwards, Lagos utilizes yet another Sonido, blitzing above Ailene whilst the air buffets her form, and utilizing the Advanced Air Ground platform, she angles herself to swiftly slam into Ailene in a brutal combo one moment to the next.
Lashing out with her breakneck pace, she firmly breaks out with a right fist blow, aimed straight for her neck with a slightly crunched fist, but restrained as to keep her knocking away, just enough to make her momentum stop, to knock the very wind out of her before Lagos swiftly utilizes the same hand to pull on Ailene's collar in a fluid motion, pulling her inward for a nonrestrained knee straight into her stomach as they somersault in the air and begin heading for the ground. Lagos was relentless in rapid assaults, and in a battle such as this, she didn't play with food that might be stronger than her. Instead, she went all out.
Assuming she was successful in her past actions of assault, her opposite hand immediately loops and presses against Ailene's neck with a horizontal open palm whilst the grip on her collar releases, a forceful spin as if to cause her to rapidly twist and spin like a vertical top as the fox Arrancar twists her own body in mid air to again, kick slam her straight down towards the ground with just as much speed and power as she came up with, causing likely a massive burst of sand and crushing destruction.
Taking a deep breath, keeping her breathing steady, she throws both arms behind her to bullet herself towards the ground, looking to land both legs against her belly in a subsequent crashing finisher. Lagos looked to stand atop her foe, gazing deep down, having demonstrated her skill in her brawling fighting style. She was silent however and said nothing, only her breathing evident.

As Ailene stood before her challenger, she met her eyes. Lagos seemed to be a rather beautiful woman. Yet as their eyes met, she noted something eerie in them. Something which seemed to be almost bloodthirsty. Ailene was by no means an empath, but she had fought enough and studied enough psychological journals to have a basic idea of those craving her position act. The Espada were a brutal take what you want system in which the strongest survived.
As Ailene was caught reminiscing, it seemed that Lagos would make the first move. The last thing that Ailene heard made her raise her eyebrow slightly. "You've only made me excited" The pleasure in her voice could be heard quite clearly as Ailene would note Lagos disappear. Naturally, this sent Ailene's instinct into overdrive as she took a defensive stance. Despite not being a fighter, Ailene certainly had the ability to defend herself.
Without a doubt, Ailene was able to recognize the disappearance as a Sonido. There was only one problem. Fighters typically relied on their senses to determine both the location of their opponent along with what strategies to use. After all, it was hard to hit what you couldn't see. What was unique about Lagos, however, is that she had not heard the Sonido. Not even a sound. Without the proper tools to locate her opponent, it seemed that the first strike would go to her.
As Ailene's eyes scanned the area, she noted a figure just below her. It was Lagos in a crouching stance and before Ailene could react, she would be hit right in the jaw. This hit alone was brutal alone as she felt her jaw be be struck. The kick itself was rather powerful since Ailene was almost immediately sent airbone. It seemed that Lagos was not done however. Ailene was not an airborne fighter and her true power was in her release. As such, she was in quite the predicament.
Ailene would then come face to face with Lagos in the air. Even despite the fact that she used a Sondio and as such could be heard, the hit prior to this caught Ailene off guard enough for Lagos to continue her barrage. Suddenly, Ailene could feel herself being pulled in by Lagos, using the collar on Ailene's outfit. She then felt a brutal knee to her stomach which made her gasp and whimper softly in response.
Yet the brutal combo seemed to still not be over as Ailene felt the grip on her collar lessen. Trying to react as best as she could, Ailene would bring her arms up before her, aiming to mitigate the damage as much as she could. Her hierro seemed to be able to help, but not enough as her abilities were severely dampened before she had a chance to release. As the hit connected, hurtling Ailene down into the sand, she was thankful that this hit seemed to knock the wind out of her alot less.
The eruption of sand was quite clear as Ailene hurtled into the sands of Hueco Mundo. Yet despite this, Ailene's instincts immediately came into play. She was fighting not only for her position, but for her survival. Lagos seemed to be so vicious to take advantage of Ailene's offer to just discuss it. Using the sand as cover, Ailene would raise her hand, expecting for Lagos to come diving down for a finisher.
Before the sand could clear, Ailene used the smokescreen to charge a little purple ball of energy which quickly expanded and burst out at the diving Arrancar. If Lagos was not careful, she would be threatened to be swallowed whole by the Cero. Using the oppurtunity that this could provide, Ailene quickly hopped to her feet and utilized a Sonido to quickly move out of the crater and end up back on her feet in a defensive stance, ready to take on whatever Lagos was preparing to do.

This was the thrill of battle. The prospect of being killed, and the opportunity to kill. Lagos hungered for such a battle since her return, and with it, as she dived downward after a series of of onslaught blows, she looked to never give her opponent the time to recover. However, tensing herself, she can hear the sound of the charging Cero, can see the disturbance as the purple beam launches straight towards her in a raging blast that looked to encompass her. The beam was large, and at first, it would seem as if it would consume the fox head on, seemingly wrapping around her and hiding her from sight.
That was until...
"Cero Hoja..." The Cero upon contacting her would suddenly split in half, as if butter before a knife as a glowing yellow blade is evidently held in Lagos' right hand directly in front of her, a powerful Cero that was condensed, as well as fine tuned into a vibrating mass of particle energy. Lagos hears the cue of Sonido and the burst of noise, and with it, she looks on ahead. Swiftly does Lagos close the distance gap between the two of them, and as she does, she looks to slam her mask like helmet directly into the Noveno's own head with an advanced air ground propelled jump, as the dust dispersed from the Cero's release to clear their sight.
Assuming she was successful, there would be a powerful crack of Hierro, and Ailene's body would be push slammed into the sand, directly where she stood, leaving an Ailene sized hole in the sand. However, what might surprise Ailene then was the idea that Lagos had used that moment of impact and slight delay to use her impact and strength to stop herself in midair, to perform a somersault and attempted to slam both of her legs deep into her person like a jetting piston.
Lagos was relentlessly aggressive, and with it, looked to give her opponent no room to breath, quite literally. Whilst standing atop of Ailene's chest and stomach, she had an almost evil, if not sinister look in her eye, at having the ability, no, the privilege of being able to exercise her power over someone that is powerful enough to be deemed Espada. Espada. Espada! With a slight raise of her foot, she looks deeply into the eyes of her opponent, before then kicking off of her, a powerful burst of force as she utilizes a second Sonido to kick off Ailene's chest, directly above the lovely lady then. The force normally enough to create craters in the stone as if to cave in her chest and stomach.
However, instead of coming down to beat her relentlessly with her body, she would instead do something else. The Cero in her right hand would elongate, become longer like a needle or spear, and with it, she would throw the bolt down directly towards her Ailene sized hole. She had buried Ailene a grave, and by all intents and purposes, the Cero Hojas was supposed to be the thing to bury her. Its sharpness and destructive power were impressive, and was a finely tuned technique. Though, Lagos had to question what might potentially destroy her? Would it be the sharp pierce of it? Or the explosion of searing heat that would result afterwards?

Standing firm and surveying the area along with having a basic understanding of her opponents fighting style, Ailene could formulate a general idea of how Lagos was about to strike at her. Taking note of both the unique Cero she fired and her speed, the Espada knew that there was only one way to both survive this fight and come out on top. To execute her plan, however, she would require something threatening enough to divert Lagos' attention.
While she was waiting for her opponent, Ailene quickly made the finest incision onto her hand. It was certainly enough to draw blood, but inconspicuous enough to not be noticed, especially from their current distance. It was after this Lagos would seem to catch onto her running away. With incredible speed which Ailene actually seemed to admire a little bit, her opponent would rocket through the air. Despite this, the Espada was ready.
Ailene would quickly ball her hand into a fist as she both began to focus and fire a bala at the sand. As this occured, Ailene would simultaneously leap into the air as the sand generated yet another smoke screen. While midair, Ailene's focus had allowed her to establish her Pesquis. Assuming that her opponent had continued into the smokescreen, Ailene balled up her first once more, but this time she was beginning to intermingle her blood with the reiatsu.
It was at this point that Ailene would unleash a Bala Obscuras upon Lagos. The typical Bala was already fast, but this particular technique had two properties that made it unique. One, much like the Gran Rey Cero, it was a technique that both required a payment in blood and was a technique reserved only for those among the ranks of the Espada. Additionally, it was one of the fastest techniques in an Espadas' repertoire.
As Ailene fist move outward, a sudden jet black colored bala would be unleashed. Moving at an incredible speed, almost too fast to even perceive by most, the bala would howl through the air, threatening to not only hit Lagos, but have a ball of burning reiatsu splash upon her body like lava. It was truly a dangerous technique to both the victim and its user. As soon as Ailene had unleashed it, she felt an immediate burning recoil in her hand. Such was the price of using this technique.
As Lagos was hopefully preoccupied, either by being bombarded by the bala, dodging it or finding some other way to mitigate its effectiveness, Ailene would land on the sand a good bit away from her original location. Wasting no time whatsoever, Ailene would begin her words. "Spread and Contaminate, Ausbruch." As she said this, however, there was a hint of trepedation in her voice, almost as if she were hesitant to unleash her true power. Ailene would dig her Zanpakutou into the ground appearing unarmed.
As she dug the Zanpakutou in the cold sand, it began to seemingly dissapear, almost as though it were melting. Suddenly, dark blotches began to appear around Ailene as she was seemingly swallowed by the void itself. This was part of the plan, however as Ailene under the cover of the sphere began to morph. Falling to all fours, her body began to elongate and coil as her hands became talons, her mouth became a maw with razor-sharp teeth and her entire body became that of a wyvern.
If Lagos could see this, she would then note something emerging from the sphere. It appeared to be a purple Wyvern sporting a length of about 15 feet, making her much larger than most Arrancar. As her talons dug into the sand, she looked at her prey. Having now release, Ailene reeled back and looked towards the sky as she unleashed a shriek so terrible and disturbing that it sounded almost like the screaming and wailing of dozens of people. As she opened her mouth, only a few words could be heard. "Maim...Murder...Devour...".
Technique Description and Effects: [The Espada-only version of the bala. The Bala Oscuras (Dark Bullet) version turns the bala into a jet black and fires it with tremendous velocity and power. This can only be used while in Release Stages. It packs the nearly punch of half a Gran Rey Cero. Unlike regular Bala, which merely puts holes in adversaries, and occasionally blows limbs off, this one will blast holes easily twice the size of the actual blast, and splash burns across the enemy as well. On top of that, it is capable of completely disintegrating limbs, rather than just blowing them off, meaning that reattachment is impossible.]
How to use technique: [Same as regular Bala]
Drawback: [Unlike Cero Oscuras, this technique requires there be the user's blood on their hand, rather similar to the conditions for Gran Rey Cero. This will also slowly burn the hand with each use. Consecutive uses will add second and third degree burns to the hand that uses it. After too many uses, around 6 or 7, that hand will not be able to use any more reiatsu based techniques, unless it is healed. High speed regeneration cannot heal the damage caused by this technique.]

The spiritual powers of the Espada were certainly no joke. This was always evident to Lagos, having been trained and cultivated by a much higher specimen. The Quarte Espada. However, when witnessing the presence of the Bala obscuring her vision, it was instinct that would lead her to hesitate, if even for a split second. After all, danger was prevalent, and Hollows did not just survive from being powerful, but also more cunning than any other. However, even she wasn't prepared for the presence of the Bala Oscuras.
Yes, she had survived a Cero Oscuras before, she had seen and witnessed the power of a Gran Ray Cero. However, as the blitzing truck sized Bala attacks her, she had to wonder how it was she could cast such a spell outside of release...The dark aspect of it was known to her, and yet, it seemed like some distant impossibility? Unless. Had she always been released? Lagos had grit her teeth as the Bala collided with her Cero Hojas, and with it, she growled as swathes of burning landed upon her trench coat and legs.
No. She wouldn't allow it...Never. So. With it, to prevent herself from being melted and destroyed by the Bala's oppressive force, she clenches her Cero Hojas, and with it, disperses it in a blasting beam, mitigating the damage she took, though she lay partially scorched, her coat now in semi tatters, and with it, the skull upon her head lay slightly blackened as she grits her teeth. She begins to channel her spiritual pressure, emanating, letting it bathe as she exhausts the energy within herself to instead power her Reiatsu Strength as her enemy calls forth their release, to begin their own metamorphosis...Her spiritual power was blowing out of proportion...
That was until? "Sly...Vulpecas!" Lagos was not looking for a display of victory over attrition, but instead, pure, overwhelming force. She looked to have the Noveno bend and acknowledge that she was the stronger. So, with it, as Ailene rises as a large purple Wyvern in the sky, she would find Lagos' skull like mask have its eyes glow an eerie yellowish light as if a candle was bathed within them, before slowly the jaws extend and clamp over her head, warping, growing more solid as from her rear, a total of nine tails rapidly extend outwards, a bathed white.
Her drawn blade begins to twist and extend outwards, becoming a Naginata, and ultimately, in this bestial form, her own hands gnarl and twist into becoming almost claw like extensions, though she had entered this form at great risk and cost. She had expended a considerable amount of energy to close this great spiritual gap between herself and Ailene, but in doing so, had hoped she had raised herself to a state where she looked to force Ailene into an equal state of caution and fear.
"..." With a swing of her left arm, she blows the remnant sand and smoke away, looking upwards to the heavens as she twists the blade within her grasp, holding it firmly in both, pointed upwards. "Come!" She yells outwards. The nine tailed fox against the dark wyvern of the sky. Lagos' transformation was menial at first glance, but such appearances were almost deceptive and misleading. Information was crucial...and this was a battle to the death. The Espada Ailene. She had done such homework on her foe before arrival.

Standing under the moonlight of Hueco Mundo, the two Arrancar seemed to be at a point where they were ready to give it their all. As Ailene had transformed into the wyvern that seemed ready to tear into her opponent, she was suprised to see that Lagos was also at a point where she had released. The purple-headed wyvern grinned sadistically at her prey. The stakes of this fight isn't what mattered to Ailene now. She just wanted to devour Lagos.
Peering at the Arrancar before her, Ailene noticed the nine fox tails, making her seem like a creature of legend similar to Ailene. It was then that Ailene finally heard the words that she was waiting for. "Come!" The Espada was eagerly waiting for this, not that they needed permission, but there was nothing greater to the bestial Ailene than devouring a quarry that could fight back. Ailene would offer her own sentiments before moving. "True Prey...Consume...Grow Stronger!"
After these words, Ailene's purple-colored fur would begin to glow as a sudden burst of what appeared to be fog emanating from her fur. What most didn't know was that this was not just fog. It was a microbe that was being created from Ailene's physiological functions. Ailene had done no research on Lagos, but in truth, while in a bestial state like this, she did not care enough about details of it in the moment. She acted very instinctually and learned across an encounter.
Ailene would then begin to move forward. Her talons softly digging into the sand. She would continue to peer at her opponent as the beast almost seemed to snake back and forth, still moving side to side. In a rather quick display of speed, Ailene was beginning to run at Lagos at a speed of 300. Dashing at her with this speed, Ailene almost appeared to strike at her opponent then and there. However, Ailene had then suddenly dissapeared.
Her opponent would naturally recognize this as a Sonido. This Sonido would carry her an an impressive speed of 3000. The typical static scratch that would be heard from a Sonido would appear behind Lagos as was looking to dig her talons into Lagos. At this time, Ailene was also flowing her vile reiatsu into her talons, giving them a type of purple coloration that gave a rather foreboding feeling. After all, she was the bringer of the plague itself.
Under the assumption that Ailene made her mark with her talons, Lagos would immediately feel a sense of malaise. The feeling of dread and illness would overtake her as this uncomfortable feeling may be seeded into her soul. Such was Ailene's disease. It was one that started slowly, but festered over time. It was a small flame that would eventually grow and consume its target, sending them into an absolute spiral of fatigue and disease-ridden state. No matter what, she would dive past Lagos after her attack since it was intended to apply the bacteria first and foremost, sliding to a stop a few dozen feet away from her opponent.
{Primera Etapa Overall}The form that Primera Etapa grants Ailene is one of elegance, quick movement and death. To begin with, Ailene's new imposing form gives them sharp appendages to fight with. With in this form, Ailene doesn't have a traditional Zanpakutou, instead using their entire body as a release weapon of sorts. Deadly claws, a crushing maw with rows of razor sharp teeth, a long slender tail, and just the size of the form itself gives Ailene an entire body to use as a weapon. Each one of these appendages strikes with Ailene's OS.
Due to trapping most of their power within their release, Ailene gradually unlocks use of their body as a weapon. Once fully attaining the maximum power they are capable of in the form of regaining all their stats via Soul Specialist, Ailene's true form is revealed. Gaining a new set of horns that act as piercing weapons which are based off of Ailene's OS and the ability to use their wings allows Ailene to be become an absolute dominant force on the battlefield with the use of wings allowing for short term flight.
The true ability behind Ailene's form is its ability to manifest the plague in all living things. Yersinia pestis known more commonly as The Black Death or the plague was a vicious disease that claimed the lives of many Europeans. Ailene hailing from the time of the Black Death uses this to their advantage to cause a chain of infection that gets worse as the victim goes on. The worst effects of this disease may be delayed, but eventual consumption is inevitable for even the most resistant of souls.
Ailene has three vectors of infection. The first is Ailene's claws. Striking others with their claws initiates the incubation process as the infection will begin to develop within their body. The second vector of infection is a fine mist that Ailene exudes. This mist surrounds Ailene almost all times in release at a distance of 10 ft surrounding them and in fact is an airbone form of the disease. To facilitate infection, an opponent must remain within the mist for 2 posts. This means that those within 10 ft of Ailene for 2 posts become infected. The third and final vector is Pandemic Virula.
Once infected, the bacteria undergoes a virulent mutation as it reaches new heights. When becoming newly infected, Yersinia, as it will be called is in its most infant stage and in fact is at a stage where it is most vulnerable. The victim can at this point remove the disease from their system by spending a modicum of reiatsu. By spending 100 reiatsu, dedicated to purging Yersinia, the victim will not only not suffer its further effects, but gains a 2 post immunity to becoming infected again. In the case that the victim chooses to let it be, the incubation process will begin.
This incubation process requires 1 post after infection to finish. Once incubated, Yersinia becomes integrated into their body and now cannot be removed. From this point on, infection can only be delayed. The victim begins at 0 stacks of Bacterium. Every post, this value increases by 10. This is not the only way to increase the value, however. When the victim uses a technique, 10% of the reiatsu used to create the technique actually gets converted into a value rounded up. If the victim spends 100 reiatsu, they still fire the technique at a cost of 100 reiatsu, but they gain 10 stacks of Bacterium. If the victim spends 25 reiatsu, they gain 3 stacks of Bacterium.
Yersinia, once having infected a target, can be increased as Ailene strikes the target with his claws. Every time Ailene strikes the target with their claws, the victim in question gains 5 stacks of Bacterium. Additionally, the natural mist that Ailene creates applies another 10 stacks every post that the target is standing within it. Much like natural accumulation, points of Poison Resist will reduce this accumulation of stacks via mist. Each point reduces it by 2. With a Poison Resist of 2, the accumulation via mist is 6 per post when the target is within 10 ft. If the target has a Poison Resist of 4, the accumulation is 2 per post.
Yersinia has yet another way of accumulating more stacks of Bacterium. As metabolism is fortified by faster movement, moving at certain speeds will make it so the victim feeds the bacterium. Starting at 300, every post that the victim moves at that speed, the stacks of Bacterium increase by 20. This value increased by 20 for every 100+ speed they move at. If the victim is moving at 400 speed for 1 post, they accumulate 40 stacks from moving at that speed. If they move at 400 speed for 2 posts, they gain 80 stacks over those two posts. This does take into account the speed of step techniques. Step techniques incur both a reiatsu conversion and speed conversion for stacks. Step techniques are unique in this regard. Step techniques can only accumulate a speed conversion equal to the top base speed of the target. I.E if they Shunpo and their speed of 400, but they are moving at 4000, the converstion will only take into account base speed and 10% of reiatsu. This would make it 50 stacks.
Once Yersinia reaches certain thresholds of Bacterium, it not only has a more profound effect on the physiological processes of the body, but it also mutates. This form of the plague likens to an extremely virulent form of Yersinia pestis. As the stacks increase, the victim suffers a worse effect from the bacterium itself. This will also be detailed in a table titled Yersinia Bacterium. This all goes to show that once a bacterium is left to its own devices, it will consume feed on the resources given to it by the victims body.
It is important to note that despite all this, the victim does have a few devices in place to delay the infection process. First and foremost, points of Poison Resist will actually slow the rate at which Yersinia naturally accumulates stacks. Every point of Poison Resist will reduce the accumulation by 2. With a Poison Resist of 2, the natural accumulation per post is reduced from 10 to 6. A 4 will reduce the accumulation per post from 10 to 2. Furthermore, it will also increase the time it takes for the victim to begin experiencing side effects. Starting at Poison Resist 3, the victim will only begin suffering from its effects at Stage 3 of infection. A Poison Resist of 4 will leave the victim suffering from its effects at Stage 4 of infection. A minimum of 800 in Healing Expertise will decrease the natural accumulation of infect to 2 per post no matter the Poison Resist.
Aside from this, the victim can make the conscientious effort to refuse moving at high speeds. They can also limit the amount of reaitsu techniques that they fire. These two efforts will prevent them from accumulating stacks too quickly. There is one more option that the victim of this vile disease has. While it is true that spending reiatsu worsens the disease, this only applies to techniques. The victim can choose to spend reiatsu at a 5:1 ratio to lessen the stacks of disease. This reiatsu is specifically dedicated to lessening the severity of Yersinia. If the victim spends 100 reiatsu dedicated to this effort, they reduce their amount of stacks by 20.
The last ways to combat this disease is by simply being stronger than Ailene. A 2x OS superiority will also make the victim immune. If the victim gains a stat boost while infected that gives them a 2x OS superiority, they will be immune to the effects of Yersinia as well as accumulation of stacks for as long as they have this superiority. It should also be noted that if Ailene should ever drop out of Resurreccion either by their own volition or fatigue, Yersinia will die as it leaves their body, leaving the victim without this Plague.
Technique Description and Effects: Toxic Shock Syndrome is traditionally an immune response that the body executes when it detects toxins to the body. Ailene twists this concept and uses it to violently proliferate the victims disease state. This technique causes Ailene's talons to become infused with reiatsu as they glow a similar color to the color of Ailene's fur. This lasts for 2 posts and if Ailene were to strike a target with the talons, it would leave a nasty laceration on the targets' body. This initiates the first response of the Toxic Shock Syndrome. Due to this, the victim becomes immune to the effects of Yersinia for a post. Once this immunity has faded, however, the current stacks that the victim of Toxic Shock has accumulated instantly double. If the victim is not infected with Yersinia and is hit by Toxic Shock, the inherent weakening of the immune response will make it so the target immediately gets infected without need of an incubation period. Toxic Shock requires Ailene to expend 100 reiatsu.
Technique Drawbacks: Toxic Shock while a powerful way of increasing the amount of stacks that the target is suffering from does come with several drawbacks. The toxin that Ailene laces the wound with can be delayed with Poison Resist. Beginning at Poison Resist 2, each point in Poison Resist delays the proliferation by a post. If the victim has a Poison Resist of 2, it was 2 posts for it to double. A 3 requires 3 posts for it to double. Additionally, the poison is immediately neutralized by having a 2x OS Superiority to Ailene.

Lagos if wary before was especially so now, after looking upon Ailene and her resolve, seeing the dark purplish mist begin to exude itself, and with it, she had momentarily thought of how similar it was to her master's own ability. She remembered even back when Shikihitsuko was a Hollow that their abilities of toxins, dangerous ones that could rob the senses, and make people see delusions, as well as crippling pain that would engulf one and make them feel as if they were melting on the inside. Likely, that was because they were.
She prepares herself, and with it, her senses are sharp, her instincts are sharp as Ailene dashes along the ground in this large lizard like state, and with it, she remained deadly calm as she stood in place, awaiting, her foe. That was until they heard the Sonido. Hearing that blitz, utilizing her sharp eyes to predict that path of distance, and utilizing the lizard's now large size to determine her potential route of attack, Lagos would immediately act, as she hears that Sonido appear behind herself.
Utilizing the reflection of her Naginata, this would only prove Lagos' assumption correct on the enclosing Wyvern's talon, and with it, Lagos would shift herself ever so slightly before then utilizing Sonido Gaara, not on any of her arms or legs, but instead upon one of her tails, as it rapidly extends, attempting to slam Ailene's extended wrist, preventing it from slashing her, and instead, would wrap tightly around the base, to hold her in place, and pull her off balance as the other tails furrow; spike. With it, assuming she was successful, the other eight tails immediately form Cero at swift speeds, utilizing Cero Extension.
"Cero..." The beams look to slam, collide with Ailene, sending searing heat through her form, truck like beams that intend to devour her form, that buffeting force, searing her scales and skin, and looking to send her barreling away, to send her flying along the field, before then she stands firmly, her Naginata twirled overhead as her tails sway. With it, as they do, the wind rapidly spins, twirls in a circular motion as Ailene would see her powerful mist be picked up in the breeze and blown away from Lagos, as a powerful buffeting wind gets stronger...and stronger.
Suddenly, the light within the dome of Las Noches would become buffeted and blocked as a dark wind growls, rapidly expanding, and with it, a dome of wind forms between both opponents, rapidly spiraling, the sand picked up, and even unwitting observers of the battle if they were not swift. The wind would look to buffet, if not drag Ailene closer into it, and yet, Lagos stood ahead, at the other end, five hundred feet away, completely undeterred, as if the wind was never even there, her eyes staring, menacingly, as the wind pressures her, Lagos slowly stepping forward as she may feel scraping along her Hierro, the Arrancar Lagos tilting her head slowly to the right with a sickening crack of her neck.
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Arrancar]
Technique Element: [N/A]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [The ability to create and control the winds around the user and bend the skies to her will. The user will swing their tails to create a spinning dome of wind that slices any external forces around it. This technique is same in concept, but a bit different in execution of techniques. Her winds like the other two are incapable of harming her directly as much as her enemies. Her winds move and are manipulated as the same way as her other two techniques. The wind could be spun at such fast speed, that it acts as a perfect protection against projectiles. Wind may be fired like projectiles and or used in combination attacks with her other two disasters. Those that are in the center of the dome are safe from being picked up and sliced by powerful winds. Lagos is incapable of being sliced by her own wind and or sent flying as it simply whooshes past her. Those who are not in the center may not use step techniques nor those who are outside of its vicinity as the wind shall grab and swallow them in the gust. She may step without risk of being carried away despite being anywhere near these winds.]
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Swing ones tails as 100 feet worth of wind will be created as a constant twister. Control of wind is divided with other elements and costs 600 reiatsu. ]
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (
1. The user is able to be crushed by anything which falls into her tornado same as her enemies.
2. Her foes upon having a 50% advantage of her most dominant offensive stat is immune to these winds in every way making it utterly useless in terms of offense
3. The technique does not discriminate between friend and foe and makes the environment highly hazardous for everyone including the user.
4. Speed control must be divided amongst her tails as well as control over the element in general.)

As Ailene went in for what was typically for most the killing blow, she would find that Lagos was truly a worthy opponent for her. Noting the reflection in her blade, it seemed that Lagos was going about this a little smarter than most. Ailene's Hierro was naturally very powerful due to the actual strength of her reiatsu. She didn't just have a formidable amount of reiatsu. To most, the actual force of her reiatsu felt like a crushing wave that threatened to crush any feeble souls in its wake.
Lagos was not one of these feeble souls, but she was no match for the Hierro that Ailene possessed. As such, her opponent would wrap one of her tails around Ailene's wrist at an incredible speed. Truly, it was almost imperceivably to the Espada as she felt her natural balance be disrupted. Sending her careening into the sand and seemingly keeping here trapped there. Even as Ailene tried to pull out of instinct, she did not have the strength to get away from the grip.
Suddenly, the familiar buzzing of not just one Cero, but multiple would fill her ear. Her killer instinct immediately kicking in, Ailene shifted her head to look up at her opponent and the numerous tails that were threatening to wash the burning wave of reiatsu over her. As she open her maw, it happened in an instant. Without warning, Ailene suddenly unleashed a wave of electricity that would arc in a wide cone in front of her, threatening to consume Lagos and her Ceros.
As the electricity arced out, assuming that Lagos was foolish enough to remain in its destructive wake, the Cero's would be promptly snuffed out of existence. In fact, Lagos herself would find the electricity wash over over, threatening to char her to ash. It was a pain that was indescribable, requiring an affinity for pain to resist crumbling and succumbing to the agonizing feeling of being electrocuted. Assuming that Lagos remained within the electricity due to it's suddeness, Ailene would prepare her next step.
The sudden recoil of the technique would hit her as Ailene's maw began to twitch and even the Espada herself would feel a piercing and spastic pain from the orifice. It was truly devastating to both user and victim. Ailene would only discharge the technique for a few moments, aiming to either get Lagos off of her or keep her occupied long enough with the deadly wave of lightning that she was unleashing. After all, any more would seriously harm her own body.
Almost immediately after unleashing the Cero Lightning, Lagos would find the wyvern wailing as she focused reiatsu within herself. In an outward release of toxins, Ailene would release a 10 ft. wave of her toxin. It would coat the ground and if Lagos was still next to the Espada, it would even threaten to cover her opponent. The toxins if applied to Lagos would threaten to infect her with a heightened form of the bacteria. Just to add insult to injury, Ailene would also attempt to whip about, utilizing her other front leg that wasn't bound to attempt to dig her talons into Lagos.
With the assumption that all this abuse, if Lagos still unleashed her wind upon Ailene, the Espada would do her best to dig her talons into the sand itself. Despite the fact that she lacked good grip, her talons were long and sharp. Hoping to dig into anything solid enough to hold her, the Espada attempted to hold her ground and sincerely hoped that Lagos had not only been bombarded with the lightning, but additionally been afflicted with the virulent illness.
Of course if Lagos was infected, she would have but mere moments to expel the infection from her body. If she did not, she would feel an odd sensation. It would be unlike any other as fatigue, lightheadedness and nausea would afflict the Arrancar. If infected, the physiological changes would already start to take place. The lymph nodes in the head and neck threatening to become larger and sputum possibly being expelled from her respiratory system.
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Arrancar]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Arrancar]
Technique Element: [Lightning]
Technique Description and Effects: [Cero Lightning is one of the most advanced, forms of a Cero. While it does not provide the stunning raw power of the higher class Cero, it is nonetheless a formidable weapon and also can be adapted to multiple purposes in battle, or out of battle.
When used, instead of the blast of energy most Cero produce, Cero Lightning creates crackling bolts of lightning to expel from the user in the direction they have aimed. While not as fast as a Bala, this technique requires no charge time, unlike normal Cero, and is three times as fast as a normal Cero. Like Shoji Cero, this technique can be extended for longer durations, and a user can employ a single use of this technique for up to two posts (including the post they used it). When unleashing this Cero at full power it is capable of burning targets with half or less RS than the user to ash instantly. In fact, even those that have equal reiatsu strength to the user can be burnt to ash if they are exposed to a full power blast for two consecutive posts. Even if a target is too strong to outright destroy with this power, it causes serious burns and blisters across the target’s form, and creates immense pain and electric shocks to cascade across their body, requiring a Pain Tolerance of 2 (or equivalent) to withstand, else the target will crumple in a heap, incapacitated by the pain and electrocution.
There is one other incredibly useful trait to this Cero. The user possesses complete and utter control over its power and form. The user can unleash concentrated, killing bursts of this power to annihilate the opponent, or they can create massive arcs of lightning to ensure that the opponent cannot dodge. The user is freely able to adjust the power of this technique on a 1:1 ratio with size. That is to say, if the user halves the power of the technique, they will double the space the technique covers, and so on and so forth. Naturally, because the user is lessening the power, it makes this technique easier to resist, but compensates by making it much harder to avoid. The amount of space this attack covers at full power is comparable to that of the user’s bala.]
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Although this technique is a Cero move, it is used much more like a Bala.]
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)
[If one possesses a reiatsu strength that is 50% greater than the user, then they can resist the effects of the pain, getting away with minimal injuries, or even, if their reiatsu strength is double the user’s, being completely unharmed. Individuals with a Pain Tolerance of 2 can ignore the agonizing pain, though it will still be present, and continue to fight, only suffering the weakness of their injuries. Individuals with a Pain Tolerance of 3 (or greater) can outright push through the Cero, and be relatively unimpeded by it, if they are strong enough to survive it, minus the injuries they would receive from it. It has the standard cost of a Class 3 technique. Using this technique for more than a post fatigues the user greatly. The fatigue is intense enough that the user cannot maintain a single use of Cero Lightning for more than two posts.
The use of this technique causes slight burns to form on the bodypart using the power, which will steadily worsen with repeated use. These burns cannot be healed by High Speed Regeneration, or other immediate healing techniques and must either heal on their own, or be treated post-battle. Repeated use will cause these burns to worsen, and if a single limb uses them enough (ie. Over ten times in a single thread), the limb will burn away into ash.
Technique Description and Effects: Pandemic Virula harnesses Ailene's ability to increase the virulency of Yersinia. Ailene does this by coating the ground in a thick virulent secretion. By spending 200 reiatsu, Ailene temporarily spreads their wings and screeches causing the surrounding 30 ft to become tainted in this secretion. It spreads out a speed of 1000. Upon contact, this secretion immediately infects the target with the incubated stage of Yersinia. After 1 post, the target becomes affected with Stage 1 of Yersinia. Ailene can increase the reiatsu used to infect targets with more virulent stages of Yersinia. By increasing the reiatsu cost to 400 or 600, Pandemic Virula infects the target with Stage 2 or Stage 3 respectively. This also decreases the range of Pandemic Virula by 10 ft each time to a minimum of 10 ft. The higher stages still incur the 1 post of incubation.
Technique Drawbacks: Pandemic Virula while a potent technique to jumpstart Ailene's infection comes with drawbacks. Pandemic Virula only spreads along the ground so it can be avoided by those that are in the air at the time. Additionally, this secretion only lasts for 2 posts and cannot move outside of the distance it is discharged at. Additionally, the large reiatsu cost at higher virulency along with encompassing a smaller radius requires Ailene to get in close for maximum effectiveness. Upon use, this technique is placed onto a 2 post cooldown and for those 2 posts, Ailene's natural mist that infects others is rendered inert. Finally, the incubation period can still be forcibly removed from the body for 100 reiatsu and initates the 2 post immunity.

The Cero Lightning was incredibly painful, of course. However, unluckily for Ailene, Lagos had an incredible pain tolerance, and what made even worse, a high damage recovery rate. The burst of pain was indeed something, however, what came next was to be expected and not good for her either. That sudden sensation then of the tail around her wrist rapidly tensing, crunching her wrist in an angle that should probably never be bent, before she was suddenly dragged along the ground like a ragdoll, her now gaping maw dragging through the sand as she widened it to scream, the particles filling her mouth, nose, and stomach, hurled overhead into the sand with a thud, before the tail looks to drag, throw her far...far away, like a blip before her miasma has a chance. A sporadic movement of instinct, and from pain. Ailene though?
She got to become a rocket, a literal rocket as the Sonido Gaara hurls her like a bullet, the air buffeting against her back as she'd slam into the sand as a cracking sound fills the air from breaking the sound barrier. In part, to prevent Ailene from taking advantage of their closeness, but in part also to show how intimidated Lagos was of Ailene's person. How could she not be, when feeling as if her kidney had just cooked inside of her?
Potentially ripping her arm out from her socket, as well as creating friction along the sand as she is thrown, Lagos could feel the electrocution, rippling across her weapon and body, her tails sporadically twitching as she shakes her head, and with it, then, would the wind be formed, feeling the sensation of her cooked skin, the steam rising, and with it, she takes a deep breath, her hatred and rage fueling her in these instances. She was pissed, and luckily for Lagos, pissed was the emotion that kept her strong.
"..." She lowers a clawed hand to her stomach and clenches tightly, trying to hide her pain, but as the winds swirl, and as Ailene attempts to root herself to the floor with her talon like claws, Lagos furrows, her tails tensing inwards, and with it, the wind like dome begins to rapidly twirl inwards, rapidly shutting inward on itself, as from above and below, compressed blasts of wind would look to rampage along the Wyvern. First, a slam straight from above, attempting to slam her head into the sand before a diagonal rising blow looks to slam her head straight upwards.
Clangs as her Hierro keeps her from being slashed open, but then comes a seemingly more and more rapid assault of blows that kept getting faster and faster as the dome gets smaller, compressing inward on itself, and assuming the Arrancar before her seemed to show a hint of resilience, the dome rapidly attacks in nearly every direction at the same time. After all, how did one fight against the power of the wind? A hundred thousand buffeting blows, some the size of bullets, some the pounding pressures of wind, as they attacked everywhere, from opposite directions in conflicting directions.
Even as the dome left Lagos, closing inward, and getting so small to the point it would seem as if an infinite amount of blades or wind projectiles would slam her constantly, the fox woman could feel something else...wrong. That feeling as a spiritual bacterium rested on her person, infected with the first stage of an odd virus, as she feels some slow poison seemingly seep into her very everything. What was going on?...Lagos' fist clenched, and with it, there was only one thing that Lagos knew for certain. Her opponent was having a hell of a worse time than she was, and if need be, she'd continue to destroy and buffet her body, ravaging it, for the whole release if need be.
"...G-Gngh..." She lets out, standing firmly and resilient...

It seemed that Ailene would find a degree of success with her use of Cero Lightning. It was truly magnificent for the wyvern to see the streaks of electricity dance around the body of her victim. Though it seemed that despite the destructive force of the technique. Lagos was still standing. It almost seemed as though she was able to even power through the pain of being electrocuted. A moment of reflection touched the humanity within the beast.
Ailene would not have been entirely opposed to Lagos becoming one of the fabled Espada. Here she was, holding her own against the 9th of the group who was typically considered the weakest, but Ailene knew that if given the chance to release, she would not rest until her victim was devoured whole to fuel her own power. Atleast, such was the dream of the bestial side of Ailene. With her great power, she would become like that which she secretly despised, a Hollow only bent on material desires such as power.
It seemed that in her moment of reflection, Lagos was speeding up her limb to fling Ailene. Unlike what she was prepared for, the Espada was not thrown into their air. In fact, Ailene's form would almost be catapulted into the ground. Ailene knew she would have to face the impact and braced herself as best she could. Suddenly, she felt her skidding across the sand. The friction may have burnt the skin or even scales off of other targets, but Ailene's Hierro held firm, albeit not entirely.
As she slid, the Espada's scales would become rigid from the friction as it was beginning to peel away at her Hierro. The wyvern wailed in pain as Ailene did her best to slow her speed using her claws. Once again, she would use her claws to try and dig into the coarse sand. It seemed too late, however, as she would find herself colliding with the many dunes of the white desert. It was at this point, as Ailene stood, that she placed her talon on the piece of her scales where her Hierro had temporarily been harmed due to the friction.
Focusing her reiatsu, the Hierro would reform, giving Ailene a sense of security once more. Despite this, however, it seemed that Lagos was not finished with the Espada. Ailene from a semi-logical standpoint, could tell that she was beginning to instill fear within her opponent. Additionally, Ailene could sense the bacterium beginning to take root within Lagos and affect the Arrancar. This elicited a grin from her reptilian-like maw.
The dome of high-speed winds that Ailene hated would begin to shrink. In fact, it seemed to come down to size where it was prepared to batter Ailene with its force directly. Of course, Ailene was accurate in her assumption as suddenly she would feel the wind force itself down onto her back. Naturally due to Ailene's powerful steel-like layer of reiatsu, she was not entirely pushed into the sand. Same with the blast that was beginning to rise and assault her head. It would not force her into submission, but from the wail of the wyvern, Lagos could tell that it was certainly uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, the dome seemed to grow smaller. With it, the assault of the winds become more and more numerous. It was almost like death by a thousand cuts. At this point, Ailene's Hierro was the only thing keeping her from being sliced and diced into numerous pieces. She knew she needed a way out. This is where Ailene's strength came into play. Despite the fact that she was bestial in nature, it was her determination and simple-minded motives of devouring her victims that gave her focus. It gave her clarity and would allow her to analyze to the best of her abilities what she needed to do.
With a sudden movement, Lagos would see Ailene's talons come against her underside, slicing her chest and piercing her own Hierro for, but a moment. Her talon coming to her mouth, the blood would begin to slowly drip onto her snake-like tongue. This was when the Espada's eyes would focus intently on Lagos. Ailene would wait until the dome became smaller and smaller. Despite the constant and seemingly endless barrage, she needed to endure. As her Hierro was beginning to crumble due to consistent barrage, slicing at her scales and flesh, Ailene would unleash it.
Ailene opened her mouth this time, Lagos would notice the distinct color of a Cero. Though unlike Ailene's normal Cero's this one was not colored purple. Instead, it took on a blue coloration. Any who came across it, would know for a fact that this was the Gran Ray Cero. A Cero only usable by Espada that was one of the most destructive skills in Ailene's arsenal. The Cero would discharge from her maw, hitting the wind wall almost instantly due to proximity.
The power of the Gran Ray Cero was unrivaled, especially with Ailene's powerful reiatsu. Once having collided with the wind, the Cero would aim to rip across the dome itself. The explosive power of the Cero along with the discharge of electricity that accompanied it would rip the dome apart, dispersing the wind. This, however was dangerous for Ailene as she was at the epicenter of the blast. Just as the Cero had mercilessly barreled against the wall of wind, Ailene would feel the burst of the Cero burn at her Hierro. Her own Hierro was no match for this technique as it blasted her a good bit back.
The Cero itself would kick up a massive cloud of dust almost like a mushroom cloud. Yet as the dust cleared, Lagos would most likely see the Wyvern gasping in pain. She was close to the ground, seemingly aspirating in pain as every breath began to hurt. Some of her scales would be charred and the overall form of the Espada would look winded. She would look up at Lagos and growl softly as she did her best to stand.
She could, albeit with difficulty. The blast of the Gran Ray Cero had washed over her and knocked her back as though she was nearly taking one as a direct hit. Naturally, this did not bode well for the Espada, but atleast now she was in a position where she would not be continuously blasted by the wind. If Lagos was paying attention, she would be able to hear her opponent speak. "Worthy prey...Strong...Cunning.." These were all traits that Ailene was trying to describe Lagos with.
It was at this point that the Wyvern would once again growl and raise her head to roar. After this, she would lower her head and open her mouth once more. Ailene would utilize a new trick, one that Lagos was far too familiar with. It had taken some time, but Ailene was beginning to understand something that Lagos had used numerous times against her. The imposing form of the Wyvern would disappear. Though unlike the previous times, there was no sound. The static buzz of a Sonido had been missing. Lagos without a doubt recognize this as the Sin Sonido.
When in a fight, a combatant relied on their senses. One of these was the sense of sound. It was a powerful ally to any combatant. The Sin Sonido took this out of the equation and made it very difficult to track its user especially since Ailene was moving at a speed of 3000 with no audible sound cue. At this point, Ailene was not in front of, beside her or behind her. No, Ailene was attempting an assault from the air. If Lagos looked up, she would see the wyvern's mouth open, but unlike normally, a blackened ball of energy was charging within it. It was not the purple color of her normal Cero's nor the blue coloration of the Gran Ray Cero. This, instead was the Cero Obscuras.
Once again, it was a unique Cero only to Arrancar in a released state. It was then that Ailene discharged the Cero. Though something seemed different about it. The Cero seemed to almost blend in with the night sky. It was almost as if the black Cero had consumed the night sky and moon itself. The black Cero was many times larger than a regular Cero and would threaten to consume Lagos with its might if she did not react. Ailene could only wait to see just how much of her body would be left if the Cero was left to burn across Lagos' flesh.
{Gran Ray Cero}Technique Name: [Gran Rey Cero (Grand King's Zero)]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: Lightning
Technique Description and Effects:
An Espada-exclusive Cero of such great might that its use is forbidden while under the dome of Las Noches. It requires the user's blood to be used as a sacrifice to activate, but when activated is charged at about the same speed as a regular Cero. It is always blue in color, and appears to have the shape of a razor with several prongs. When fired, it zig zags at the enemy instead of firing in a straight line. While charging speed is the same as Cero, firing speed is three times that of Cero, and the actual destruction potential is twice the user's reiatsu strength.
Furthermore, the explosive power is so high that not even several Cero put together can rival it. This technique also releases a large mass of lightning and electricity not only upon firing, but on impact as well. The ferocity of the Gran Rey Cero is nearly unrivaled.
How to use technique:
Fire like a regular Cero, but only after also getting blood on the firing hand from its user. This is usable only by Espada. The secret to its use and why only Espada can use it are both unknown at this present time.
Technique Drawbacks
400 reiatsu cost and blood sacrifice. Can only be fired once per post, up to four times a day.
Technique Description and Effects: Sin Sonido is the next stage of Sonido evolution, which was developed by Marcelius after countless examination of spirtual particles resisting the flow of spiritual beings through Hueco Mundo's dense atmosphere. Using the principles of Reiatsu-infused movements, introduced by Sonido, this technique uses a larger supply of Reiatsu to enhance every aspect of it's predecessor. Not only does the Reiatsu used allow for faster travel, but it also reduces all drag and impedance of spiritual particle resistance. Where Sonido filled the muscles with energy needed to heighten the user's speed, Sin Sonido additionally coats the user in Reiatsu. With this internal and external building of Reiatsu, the user will figuratively meld with the world around them as they burst with sudden speed. The density of the surrounding particles is of no consequence, as this technique was designed for Hueco Mundo's tremendously dense environment. The same density that forced Arrancar to improve Sonido's design over the Shinigami Shunpo has further enhanced this technique to a higher quality. In atmospheres with less density in spiritual particles, the task is all the simpler to accomplish and control.
The result is a reduced spiritual resistances means less of a footprint. It is possible for masters of Sin Sonido to travel so suddenly and so flawlessly, that they simply materialize at their intended destination. Even wild animals cannot interpret such a flawless transition. After all, this is a Predator's tool. Sin Sonido has also prove more difficult to react against, this is a forced psychological effect due to the techniques bizarre, traceless nature. Truly, this is a most fearsome technique... but is only recommended for practitioners of considerable skill. Once a soul can learn to use it with maturity, a Sonido without sound can prove a most deadly addition to an arsenal.
Sin Sonido increases the user's speed by x10. Observers with Senses beneath 400 cannot hear the beginning or completion of this technique. Observers with Senses of 400 or greater can detect the signature Sonido noise. Observers with Instincts beneath 200 cannot track the movement or arrival of this technique, though they may still prepare counters. Observers with Instincts of 200 and above are unaffected.
How to use technique: Using Sin Sonido is exactly the same as using Sonido.
Technique Drawbacks
The user of this technique must have Sonido mastered. Sin Sonido moves slower than typical Sonido, to avoid unnecessary noise Sin Sonido also costs more Reiatsu than typical Sonido to accommodate the atmospheric blending.
Whether or not this Cero or the Gran Rey Cero is the ultimate traditional Arrancar Cero is unknown. It has been speculated for several years in Hueco Mundo, but no definitive test has been able to prove it. Thus far, they have seemed quite equal. Cero Oscuras from an Espada #4 or higher is forbidden under the dome of Las Noches, but only because any Espada #4 or higher is prohibited from Ressurection under the dome anyway. This Cero is usable only by Arrancar in their released state. It releases an enormous, menacing black Cero several times the size of a regular one. It immediately obscures and removes all light from the area, so that all can be seen as it approaches is an all-consuming black.
Its charging speed and firing time are identical to a regular Cero, and it fires in a straight line. However, the explosive potential is considerably greater, and this Cero has twice the reiatsu strength of the user.
How to use technique:
Fire like a regular Cero while in a released state.

All Lagos had to do for a good portion was watch as her winds crushed inwards, to buffet her foe and slice into her person. How painful it must have been, to experience being slashed hundreds of times by nearly invisible winds that buffeted and slashed at every turn. Lagos in her past had utilized such powers to destroy entire regions of land in the world of the living when she was in her hollowfied state. A monstrous thing she was, utilizing her power, her strength, her hatred of mankind, of the world, and all constructs of man. She awaited those moments. She lived for them.
She watched the sight, even as she felt her flesh boil, to which point she as the savage monstrous woman she was proceeded to tilt, stab her hand into the growing boil along her throat with the tips of her claws to let loose the sputum and puss from her wounds, before she growls, the sensation of burning as she uses the slight essence of a Bala, her opposite hand tensing along her Naginata as her tails erratically sway, making the wind cut along the Wyvern for just a while longer, along her body, back, and leaving gashes in the brief moments she had released her Hierro to cut herself.
Taking a deep breath, her blue eyes semi bloodshot as she looked onwards, even she could see the meaning of that particular moment. That sudden sensationary moment as an aura of blue fills the air. "Baka na..." Was the Espada that desperate that she would need to blow herself up to disperse the wind? The charge up was evident, and it was nearly impossible to hide the raw power. However, perhaps then the Espada before her had underestimated something regarding such a build up?
"...What makes you think that would save you?" Desperation perhaps, but as all of her tails point in different directions, and her weapon is twisted, the blast rings out as the wind begins to expand and disperse outward at an incredibly fast speed. A thousand at that, as she took slow and casual breaths, trying to consolidate herself, even as she felt the sickness spread. However, her overall goal was done. With an explosion radius that massive, there was little Lagos could do to save all of her spiritual byproduct. Still, as she furls her tail inwards, the sand shifts, as if a strong breeze gathers by Lagos side, her Naginata lifted and its butt slammed into the stone below as she was now prepared to use it as a defense.
The Espada before her was desperate to begin pulling out all of these tricks. However, Lagos knew that at the very end, the sense of desperation was a sign that Lagos was indeed powerful . Her eyes are focused with that hatred. The disgust. The inner chaos and mayhem that would allow her to continue her struggle. Her fight. She remembered the pain...She could embrace it. Still. There was something evidently concerning in those next moments, as the Wyvern rises, smoke rising from her cooked body, her lacerated skin and flesh, the blood of which was likely evaporated and the wounds seared from those moments. Not to mention the concussive force.
Lagos heard her praises. 'As if I ever needed your validation. Your praise.' She would think to herself such, though...As the Noveno vanishes without a trace, without a sound, Lagos immediately tenses on her instinct. She wasn't in front, and she wasn't at the sides or behind...The sand was used to cleverly track such a movement if that were the case as well as the wind deterrent. So then that meant. Above? Her eyes shoot upwards, and there it was. The harbinger of death.
Cero Oscuras. The Cero of Black. The Cero that was decimatingly powerful, and could turn the sky black. She could hear the build up of it, and realized just the level of power even the Noveno had. How afraid she had to be. How far Lagos had come. However, Lagos had fought against the Cero Oscuras before, and knew it had one vital flaw and weakness to its application. The Cero Oscuras' explosion radius was massive, far more powerful than any Cero that she knew of. However, such was only true in the event it hit something beforehand. Its actual beam radius was narrower, and gave a brief window.
"Padre del Fuego..." As she utilizes Sonido, she blurs from motion with a loud bang, directly into the air, as the Cero comes crashing down, and in a brilliant wave of infinite darkness expands, the explosion so massive it destroys the desert sand as if a nuclear blast had come to envelop it. One could only imagine how many Hollows and Arrancar were enveloped. However, looking upon Ailene, she utilizes the Advanced Air Platform to give her ground to rest on as she presses into it, and with the force power behind her jump?
She blasts forward. A powerful explosion of sound ringing as she tenses her arm, and with full strength hurls the Naginata at incredible speeds, her release weapon easily capable of breaking through a basic Hierro of course, looking to cause her that lag, to cause her to stop her line of flight to divert and dodge. However, what might surprise the Espada is Lagos with her breakneck pace, looking to wrap an arm around her neck, to send them bulleting towards the ground, willingly exposing her to this odd sickness, as the tails begin to fold inward on themselves.
An ejection of magma from their tips. A bathing bath of hellish orange red as it forms a sphere around them. A searing hellish pain that if it encompassed them, would leave Ailene unable to step...a thick viscousness that would seem to limit speed, to cut it in half. However, of course, the fact her very flesh would begin to melt off the bone as Lagos held her in place, seemingly unbothered in this bath. As she would begin to rear her fist, to slam molten covered rage upon Ailene's eye. The tails sway, as the magma leaves them in this horrified state where it would look to rush into Ailene's lungs and internal body, would look to seep into those harsh wounds.

As the Cero Obscuras was unleashed from Ailene's dreadful maw, the wyvern believed that this would be the end of Lagos. After all, the Cero Obscuras threatened to swallow anything it touched whole. Atleast that was the case for any time Ailene used or had seen it been used. It was a black void that incinerated all that it came into contact with. One of the most powerful Cero that an Arrancar could use. As the black reiatsu washed over the contrasting white sand, there was a moment of respite for the Espada. She wanted to keep her wits about her, but this would be the best chance she had to relax.
As the smoke cleared and Ailene was able to gaze upon the landscape, there was a massive crater with bits of singed Hollow remains and sand. It seemed that she had taken out some random Hollows that were digging underground. Among them, as Ailene quickly scanned the area, was no sign of her opponent. Then again, if the Cero she fired came into contact with her, she should have been incinerated on the spot. Then again, Ailene was able to deduce that her opponent was fast. Could she have evaded and survived the attack?
It seemed that her question would be answered. Even despite the fact that she had used a regular Sonido, the sound of the Cero along with the blast made it difficult to notice. With the platform that she was standing on, Lagos was prepared to use it as a stepping stool of sorts and rocket towards Ailene. Suddenly, Ailene felt a chink against her Hierro. It bolted towards the Espada and despite her Hierro still being far too powerful for Lagos to overcome with brute force, the effect was still felt.
The thin steel-like layer of reaitsu over Ailene's skin was strong enough to withstand the impact although the blade was left stuck in her Hierro. Ailene was sure that with enough time and speed, the blade would dislodge, but even though Lagos was mere moments from being upon Ailene, the blade gave her a direct indication of where the slippery Arrancar had made her way to. With this understanding and her own impressive speed, Ailene would be able to spin to face her opponent, but not have enough time to retaliate.
It was then that Ailene took note of what Lagos was trying to do. Her arm would come around Ailene's neck and the Espada as now essentially being grappled. It was then that the Arrancar would once again notice the tails of Lagos releasing some other substance. This substance that Ailene would soon find out was magma. Just before the magma formed around Ailene and Lagos, Ailene focus. Lagos would then notice Ailene's natural miasma cease to form. Not only that, but the existing miasma seemed to be drawn into Ailene.
Of course Lagos could have assumed that this was Ailene's effort to protect the bacteria that she was creating. Overall, Ailene was hoping that it would give Lagos more reasoning to stick close to the Espada. This is what she was hoping for as the magma began to close around the two of them. The effect wasn't immediate as her Hierro still protected her, but the Wyvern flailed around wildly. It would be clear to Lagos that this magma was actually painful to Ailene. Even then, the steel-like skin prevented her from being completely overtaken by the magma.
Though despite this, if Lagos thought that Ailene would go out with a fight, she was wrong. In fact, it was then that her bestial instincts kicked in. Ailene recognized that Lagos was physically stronger despite the difference in size. Ailene was also not above putting herself in danger to demolish her prey. As Lagos reeled back to go for her slam upon Ailene's eye, the Espada would suddenly tilt her maw towards Lagos and open it. Without much warning, a beam would be ejected from Ailene's maw, but this would be unlike anything that Lagos had ever seen Ailene perform.
If Lagos was in the path of them beam, she would feel herself be hit by a highly concussive blast. It was primarily purple in color with grey sediments to highlight it. Unlike the Cero, it was not a wave of burning reiatsu. In was instead a highly compressed jetstream of Ailene's bacteria created within her body. With the way Ailene was aiming it, she was also bound to hit her own stomach, but if Lagos was caught in the stream, it would be far worse for her as she would get hit by a concussive beam of 2000 OS. Even if it didn't connect, Ailene would hope that the stream was at minimum able to push her out of the ball of magma. Alternatively, it would also be nice if the beam actually dispersed the magma itself.
This unfortunate circumstance would, however cause a bit of magma to enter Ailene's maw as she initially opened her mouth to fire the stream. Assuming she was able to fire it, the magma would flow in her mouth, causing the Wyvern to shriek in agony. Assuming that she was still surrounded by the magma and Lagos had let go of her or gotten blasted backwards by the stream, the Espada would slowly try to paddle her way out of the magma. It was painful as the magma made her movements slow, but she had to endure. Assuming that she escaped the ball of magma, Ailene would be visibly exhausted.
The burning smell and sizzling sound of burned scales would eminate from Ailene if she managed to escape the prison of magma. The Arrancar was looking like she had taken a toll, especially if she hit her own stomach with the breath weapon. Assuming that Lagos had gotten hit by the beam, she may have felt a momentary sense of elation as despite the brutal force of the breath weapon, it would leave her without a disease. She could be sure that the disease dispersed. Meanwhile Ailene was not immediately creating any more miasma and she was visibly exhausted. In truth, she could not go on for much longer. She was just hoping that Lagos had gotten the worse end of that trade.
{Breath of the Plagued Mist}Technique Name: Breath of the Plagued Mist
Technique Description and Effects: Breath of the Plagued Mist is a focused discharge that actually does not spread the Yersinia bacteria. Instead, it channels all of Ailene's mist into a devastating attack. Ailene starts by drawing in the mist that Ailene naturally generates. Directly after this, Ailene unleashes a 50 ft long beam of mist that is about 5 ft wide. Ailene is able to move their head to aim it, although it is very rigid and difficult to move. Breath of the Plagued Mist has a force equal to Ailene's OS and moves at an impressive speed of 1000. Due to the compression and concentration of the actual breath weapon, Breath of the Plagued Mist is a concussive force. There is a catch, however. If the target hit by Breath of the Plagued Mist and is affected with atleast Stage 3 of Yersinia, the Bacterium will resonate violently to this and Breath of the Plagued Mist will be treated as 2x Ailene's OS, but this kills some of the bacteria as a result. Breath of the Plagued Mist requires Ailene to spend 400 reiatsu.
Technique Drawbacks: Breath of the Plagued Mist is by far Ailene's most direct ability. Despite this, it comes with a number of drawbacks that make it challenging to use. First comes the hefty reiatsu cost. Additionally, while it is true that later stage of infection benefit from the added power, getting hit by Breath of the Plagued Mist reduces the victims' Yersinia infection by 3 Stages. If the victim is at stage 3 or below, they will be rid of the infection if they get hit by it, but only Stage 3 or higher will treat Breath of the Plagued Mist as 2x OS. Additionally, if Breath of the Plagued Mist regresses the Stage, but they are still infected, they will start at a # of Bacterium equal to the threshold. If they get knocked down to Stage 1, they have 0 Bacterium in their system and the disease must progress from there. The final issue is that Breath of the Plagued Mist eliminates Ailene's natural mist for 2 posts.
