Name: Bait and Switch
Participants: - Any peep class 4-2, One class 1 can join.
Location: Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Difficulty Level: Hard
Setting: NDE
Plotline:
Rio De Janeiro is many things, namely a popular tourist site. What with its beaches, architecture, and large populace there’s not a lot one can’t find here that would make even the most stubborn people consider a visit. That however was the old Rio De Janeiro, the current is far less… well present. The beautiful city once made of stone is now only shacks, rickety and filled to the brim with mold. The people, well what’s left of them, don’t even seem human. Humanoid is arguably the best term one could use as they look as though they’ve been crossed with various types of fish and other sea creatures. While not hostile to those outside the newly erected cement wall they are incredibly aggressive towards any who is not of a similar nature. It is unknown if this transformation is permanent or if it can be reversed, even the reason behind it as a whole is shaky. The current theory is that “insert country” had used Rio De Janeiro as a test site for a new bio weapon. Thus all endeavors to try and send in military forces or even medical personnel is on hold until it is known for certain what the cause of this sudden transformation is.
With no government willing to take the risk of sending in their military or medical personnel it falls to the spiritual world to take on the charge of rooting out the source of this disaster. Take caution though as a preliminary investigation by each organization has shown that whatever is causing the transformation in the human populace affects all spiritual entities involved as well however the rate of transformation is significantly slower. Medical personnel have cautioned those sent in to try and avoid contact with those afflicted or their blood as a noticeable decrease in transformation time has been seen.
Estimated Enemy Strength: Class 3-2
Estimated Time Until Completion: - Honestly my aim is 3 pages but if it takes longer it takes longer.
Starts: - Once we’ve got our 3 peeps I’ll start a post and let ya’ll go from there.
Special Conditions:
First and foremost there will be a timer for everyone involved. You’ve 1 week to post a response otherwise events in the prior post will be considered “canon”. If there are subsequent violations the character will be removed from the adventure.
Transformation into an aquatic/fish/sea thing is gauged by how long this thread runs. The latent transformation is half a limb per page. Starting slowly at the edges of the body with the head being the final limb to succumb to the transformation. 2 forms of contact with an infected individuals blood will speed up the transformation by half a limb. While 5 forms of contact with an infected individual will do the same. Blood only has to get in contact with the skin to count and the latter needs skin on skin contact.
The more a character is transformed into a fish/aquatic being the more “side effects” will come into play. An example being increased hostility towards other players or hallucinations. These won’t be noticeable until a minimum of two limbs have been converted however so players are encouraged to mitigate the transformation as much as possible.
