Shikitsuhiko fell silent, his attention divided between the oscillating air particles and the waning reiatsu. It was becoming quickly apparent his foe was experiencing the thralls of his exhaustion. Even Shikitsuhiko had to acknowledge this level of tenacity, despite having prophesied his defeat from the start. While he was willing to accept said tenacity, his opinion about Tsukuyomi's foolishness remained. A sense of responsibility and commitment to Las Noches motivated Shikitsuhiko, but even he could acknowledge when he was outmatched. He was willing to set his pride aside in order to ensure an optimal outcome.
That which he just observed was a stark contrast. It left him wondering whether his pride as a warrior undermined the quality of his decisions. Surely he felt the difference between them, and yet he persisted without much hesitation. For the first time his opponent spoke with purpose. Get it over with. You've beaten me on every front what reason have you to keep me alive? A faint grin tugged at the corner of his lip as his hands hung motionless at his sides. "No more wild grunting or intimidating roars?" He mocked. It was uncharacteristic for Shikitsuhiko to find much amusement in others, but from time-to-time his steely demeanor lessened in its intensity.
"You've wasted my time with your fruitless endeavors, so I'd say I've earned these last few moments. I'm ashamed to say that you piqued my interest, half-breed." He said coldly. He approached Tsukuyomi, his gait was steady and glacial in its pace. He towered over an ensnared Tsukuyomi as his silence grew longer. "Why is an abomination such as yourself masquerading as a Shinigami? Surely the beast that lurks beneath the surface remains a secret, unless you having used it now unveiled it to your brothers and sisters. I've always understood Shinigami to be mistrustful and prejudice, so you have my attention."
