Being down on the ground certainly was a new experience for her in this case. She was rarely on the ground from any mere Hollow. Based on their fight, Celes knew that he wasn't ordinary either though. Using blades, all kinds of crazy strategies to get Celes off of her game. It was very much like a tactician. That's what this interesting. Hollows only grew to consume without discrimination. Nothing was safe from the jaws of a Hollow or atleast so Celes thought. Her suspicions were about to be confirmed anyway.
As Celes looked up at the mask of this Hollow, he began to reveal something to her. ’’Did they teach you nothing? I am Adjuchas, not the mere beast you call hollow! Vice-Captains exist to deal with the likes of me, i am ten thousands of hollows and more, the ascension of the forgotten and lost. You are just a shinigami, no shoulder badge nor white coat, little more than a mortal with a sword!’’ This admittedly put Celes at a loss for words. This Valentin was taunting her very skill.
He continued to taunt her with more ridicule. ’’Foolish as you are your dedication is praiseworthy, i have decided that i would have you live with that failure.’’ That was the one that broke Celes. She was not even good enough to kill. She was an insect in comparison to Valentin. She wondered how this could be. Not even she knew that Hollows had different stages of evolution. That they could get stronger much like a Shinigami. She was wondering just how much the lines were blurring.
As she noted him turning around, she saw a void open up in space. It looked similiar to the Senkaimon the Shinigami used. This one was different though. It was black...dark and almost giving off an ominous feeling. ’’Valentin Acciai, that is my name. Make well to remember it for i would hear yours once it is a name worth remembering.’’ With that he gave his regards and lept through it. It was almost unreal to Celes that something like this could happen. As she tried to bring herself to her feet, she felt unable to. Until something interesting happened.
As Celes tried her best to get up yet failed, she felt a sensation. The bloody wounds and injuries that Valentin left were beginning to heal? Her wounds were stitching up almost all by themselves. In fact she even felt her strength being restored slightly. Was it his doing? Could it be she though to herself. With labored breathing she stood up and gripped her Zanpakutou. "Is it really possible? Am I really a failiure as he said? A toddler with next to no strength?..." This was all quite shocking.

Celes could be found on the dirt path to her barracks. Nobody knew of what happened in that fight. Nobody knew that not only had she failed as a warrior. She failed as a Shinigami. One who couldn't defeat the Hollow she came across. Not only that, learning about what Hollows were capable of frightened Celes. They were monsters. Twisted Souls and just overall had no merit. Or atleast so she thought. As she ended up in her barracks, she immediately went to her bed and almost fell onto it. As the sun began to set and moon rose to reveal the night of the Soul Society, cries would only be heared from Celes' room that night as she drifted into sleep eventually, tormented by Valentin and finally understand what it means to lose.
