If Sam didn't go to school and let work rule his life, then what on Earth did he do all day? Blair questioned what his daily life might be like. While her own was relatively boring, this guy may have a little more going on. Still, was it really so time-consuming that he wouldn't be able to complete any form of study? Was it something he didn't want to talk about? Maybe it had to do with his odd structure. Having to hide that demon arm all day may get tiring. Or, you know, maybe not. Blair had no way of knowing, honestly. It was part of why she was so curious about the guy. It was a new bit of information she'd never known before. How could she not be?
He did have a point, though. She'd heard a lot of people talk about how actual experience could be more valuable than school. At the end of the day, even if you're a manager, your only job is management. If you went through school and this was the job you had, then everyone who worked for you and did the hard stuff still knew more. You were just in charge of making sure they got everything done. Did that make you any less valuable? Well, no. But it did mean that these people had a better understanding of what was going on than management did a lot of the time. Blair made a mental note to keep that in mind when she started work in the future.
For now, she imagined. She wondered what it could possibly be like to be him. He was so tall and yet so quiet. She really didn't know anything about his personal story. She thought for a moment and had a decent assumption that whatever he told her wasn't truly everything. Maybe he was sparing her the boring details, maybe not. Either way, there was more to him than he was letting her know. She didn't really think he'd ever mention anything about it, and she wasn't one to necessarily pry, but it made her wonder what kinds of things he'd been through throughout his life. It made Blair wonder if he was good.
"Vampires, huh? I don't mind them!"
She didn't. She looked like one. Admittedly, she wasn't too crazy about the huge fandom over the fake vampires, but she enjoyed relatively typical ones. She related to them decently enough. Well, sorta. She wasn't sensitive to the sun, but she didn't like garlic. Tomato juice was gross. Regular blood, though she's never ingested it, didn't bother her. So perhaps he was just trying to change the topic. That was fine. This was yet another reason why she wasn't going to pry too much into his life. It was super likely he didn't want to share it. It was best for her to be polite and respect that.
"So what is your job, exactly?" Well, or not.
