She was still surrounded in darkness. Though this time, it was comforting. It was a darkness she gladly welcomed as there were no threats hanging over her head. She’d made it. Her mind reeled back to her memories of the past few days but rather than the horrific parts and the shadows that plagued her, she focused on the parts that brought her happiness.. or rather a person that was rather endearing and she couldn’t quite seem to get him out of her dreams.. Not that she wanted to. Something about that made her feel like he was just where he needed to be.
The ambiance of the campfire and crackling of it had mostly died down. She could see the faint glow of the embers that still persevered through the long hours of the night still there and slowly the Empress would arise from her sleep. Thankfully, it wasn’t like it was day where the bright light would blind her. Her eyes easily adjusted to her surroundings and without thinking twice, she pulled the cloak over her, fixing herself and sitting up. “Good morning, Ranth~” She smiled at him, still somewhat in her sleepy state as she looked around to see if there was anything amiss.. just in case. “I slept very well. Did you have any sweet dreams? Did you, perhaps dream of that someone?” She asked teasingly, giggling before walking off to collect her clothes and moving behind a tree trunk, changing back.
He’d pointed out the relic they came there for and she peered from behind the trunk. She was happy.. but she wasn’t all that happy for their time here would come to an end. It was bittersweet actually and the Empress would pout as she stared at the relic. When she was done fixing herself up she’d collect her zanpakuto and hand Ranth his robe back. “Thank you for this. It was very comfortable~” she smiled at him before she began walking rather reluctantly towards the relic. Rin would occasionally steal a glance at the taller male and just when she thought he’d look back at her, she’d quickly turn her head and look away with rosy tints painted on her cheeks. “I suppose we are done..” Her tone wasn’t not the most delighted as she didn’t want this to end.. but was it the mission or her time with him?
When she seemed to come up with an answer, she turned to him, gently tugging at his arm and stopping him just a moment shy before they’d reached the relic. God, the things she was about to put herself through. All in the name of… Ugh.. “You’re an expert at Kido, are you not?” Rin bit her lip and her face was more red than he’d ever seen. “Y-You see me.. and Kido.. I… U-Uhm..” She looked everywhere for a moment trying to avoid what she wanted to ask as she’d been embarrassed by it for a long, long time and it was certainly a weak point for your majesty. “W-Will you…” She tapped her foot, rather nervous to belt out her request but if she was going to sort something out, she was going to have to ask something she never thought she’d ask in all her centuries of living. Her heart was racing at a pace she swore could have been dangerous but it wasn't. She sighed defeatedly and her amber eyes locked with his in an attempt to show him she was serious. “Will you teach me, Ranth?” Though her face was red as a beet, she figured she’d get to not only correct her weakness but not let her time with him truly end. “Please?”
