The smile Ludwig had on his face quickly dropped as he was greeted not with Amalia but with pain surging through his left hand. This was accompanied by a shattering sound of his bombs being quite literally erased by Amalia’s Zusammenbruch. This was nothing compared to the feeling of having this thing actually moving inside his hand attempting to break every bone that lie within. To say Ludwig was surprised would be an understatement as he hadn’t fully considered that the orb Amalia had made was this malleable. If he were brutally honest he was even impressed, this orb was something to be feared, especially to heavy reiatsu users. Which meant Amalia had played into his hands, or hand in this case. Ludwig may not have been the strongest but damn if he wasn’t versatile and it was times like these he was happy to have learned some of the moves he had.
Before Amalia could tie his right hand, let alone impale it her Zusammenbruch began to recede back into the hand she’d just impaled before disappearing entirely. Ludwig’s face strained some as the sheer power and will behind this was far stronger than any other attack he’d ever had to make his own. And that was saying something because even in modest terms Ludwig liked to consider himself pretty strong. In the meantime however since Ludwig still had to capitalize on his plan he released the Rikujokoro in two of his 3 bombs, delayed by a single moment so as to catch Amalia if she decided to dodge in some manner or another. The bombs in the meantime were thrown at her right as planned detonating and releasing his other kido Sajosabaku which would release a hardy cloth at merely a couple feet from in front of her. Ludwig by this point had fallen about 5 feet as there had been nothing keeping him up in the air but that didn’t stop him from activating the kido locked away in his pencil. His pencil had been the only thing spared from annihilation via Amalia’s orb, and only just because Ludwig had almost immediately begun to absorb it.
The pencil itself however wasn’t able to be thrown though as Ludwig had lost his grip so it’d had fallen beneath the both of them. So much for being able to use it. The kido on the other hand began forming the outlines of the 40 foot box around Amalia and Ludwig. It’d take a matter of seconds if that to have the kido start up and Amalia still had to deal with Ludwig’s kido in the meantime, especially if she’d been caught in the process by any of them. Especially if she’d been hit by the explosions of said objects. She had seemed to so confident in her attack that it didn’t seem like she even consider the idea of it failing. Speaking of that attack though it’d taken time Ludwig had finally managed to overcome Amalia’s influence on it and make it his own. He smiled to himself casting sho yet again to each of his feet so that he could move in towards Amalia. His left hand in the meantime making a finger gun as best as it could with a curious little black orb at the end of his index finger. And it was pointed straight at Amalia. If all went well he’d make it directly in front of her, maybe by a couple feet between them given he didn’t want to be right in front of her but it was a risk he’d have to take.
Once he was in front of her or really as close as he could get in their enclosed space, assuming she did nothing about Kurohitsugi, Ludwig would simply fire her own attack at her. Now bolstered by his own power he doubted Amalia had anything up her sleeve that could stop an attack fueled by her own power let alone the speed. The effects of said object still were in place so not only was this attack combined with their power (3200 OS) it was moving at 1560 speed in a matter of 2 feet at best between them aimed centermass. Ludwig would only maintain level eye contact for a moment due to gravity’s effect on him but he was curious to see just how Amalia would look at this moment. Ensnared or not by his Kido, harmed or not by the bombs, with or without his Kurohitsugi to trap them. This moment where he had been able to fire her attack back at her that she’d been so confident of, this was the moment he wanted to see for himself. However for all it’s eye for an eye splendor Ludwig still needed to deal with his currently injured hand as well as his predicament of falling, especially if he was trapped within his own kido. Which by this point would have begun attacking each of them from all sides with spears made of Ludwig’s reiatsu.
He could still hold onto his book but that was about it with his left hand. His right could still draw but he was going to be in a race against the spears that would attack him from all sides. He couldn’t possibly create something that would protect him from every side however perhaps he didn’t need to? His cartoons being far more durable than even himself could protect him and if they gave him a means of standing he could escape the immediate threat yet again. With not a lot of time to spare Ludwig did the only thing he could do at that moment, draw. Summoning up another pencil in his right hand he quickly worked on a bird, nothing special a literal black silhouette that had a bird shape. Assuming Kurohitsugi was up it would be difficult to see given it’s black color with an equally black background thanks to Kurohitsugi. If it wasn’t up then it’d be very noticeable as it crawled out of his notebook. Regardless it would exit the book showing off a fully proportional 5 foot black bird that would immediately begin wrapping its body around Ludwig to protect him as best it could, vital area’s first. This while not a perfect defense would keep Ludwig safe for the most part though several spears would manage to cut him across his body, most notably being his arms and back. By the time Kurohitsugi would finish it’s assault Ludwig would be practically at the ground having his bird take the majority of the landing for him while he’d still be embraced by the bird.
Once on the ground again Ludwig would groan some as his bird released him and got itself up. Ludwig definitely looked worse for wear with his hand still sending out pulses of pain alongside the numerous slashes across his body, his bird on the other hand looked for the most part as one would expect with no real noticeable damage to it. Ludwig’s attention however would be drawn to Amalia wherever she was currently. God knew that if he didn’t pay attention she’d swoop in and take his head if she were given the opportunity. If there was anything Ludwig didn’t want to give at this point it was an opportunity to Amalia, especially given he wasn’t certain how much farther he could go. At this point he could only hope to have injured her in some fashion as he wasn’t certain what else he could do to gain any ground against her.
