The Shihoin Family like the majority of the nobles of Soul Society possess their own unique techniques that are only taught to those of the family. Unlike many of the other noble families though many of the Shihoin techniques are also obtainable by members of the Onmitsukido. Just like the other noble families these techniques are assorted into separate categories. However, a Shihoin isn't limited to only choosing a single category if they so choose. Each member has the choice to either specialize in a single category or become a hybrid and utilize two different categories. When the hybrid path is chosen the total number of techniques that the family member can learn is split between the two categories. Onmitsukido members may be allowed to learn a total of 5 techniques from any category of their choosing.
Below is the only Shihoin technique that can be learned by all Shihoin and doesn't fall into any of the categories.
Technique Name: In'nāfōmu
Class: 5
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: This technique is one that a certain Shihoin is famous for using. By focusing the Reiatsu in a clockwise manner and staying still the user of this technique is able to shift their physical body into that of a small animal. That’s right this technique is the one that Yoruichi used to turn into a cat. Not everyone becomes a cat however in fact each individual turns into a different animal. The only constant about this technique is that the creature must be small and hard to notice. This technique is meant as a way to secretly gather information from those who don’t suspect animals of intelligence. It’s possible for the user to speak while in this state however the voice that is presented is opposite of the true gender masking the users identify even further. When mastered this technique can be activated repetitively however doing so draws heavily on stamina. Also when Mastered the time it takes to transform becomes instant.
How to use technique: Focus reiatsu throughout the body in a clockwise manner while remaining completely still.
Technique Drawbacks: Requires 50 Reiatsu. When this technique is used the Strength of the user is decreased by 90%. Characters are only able to transform into a specific animal that’s selected upon learning this technique. It should also be noted that while transformed the user is in truth "Nude" this means that when the technique is reversed and the user takes on their original form they are "Nude". When this technique is in effect the user can't use reiatsu for anything other then step techniques. The major drawback of this technique is that the user is unable to use weaponry when in the animal state.

Technique Name: [Sairento Satsugai (lit. Silent Killing)]
Class: [5-4]
Technique Type: [Other]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: By releasing reiatsu all across the body, one can dull the sound of their movements. The reiatsu surrounding them acts like the silencer on a gun, except it acts on the whole body. When in effect, which is for a duration of 10 posts, one’s movements become completely silent, so much so that one would need a sensory of 250 or more in order to hear the user. This is the Class 5 version of the technique.
For the Class 4 version, this version can be activated at any time whenever the user wishes. By giving up 150 reiatsu when using a technique, the reiatsu flare from that technique can be “silenced.” This basically adds a silencer to techniques just like one would add a silencer to a gun to reduce noise and muzzle flash. When this is done, only those with energy sensory of 300 and above can tell when a technique is being used. By silencing the reiatsu flare, the charging technique is even able to evade Pesquis.
How to use technique: Release reiatsu across the body and activate.
Drawbacks: No drawbacks other than reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: [Kakusareta kiri (lit. Hidden Mist)]
Class: [5, 4, 3]
Technique Type: [Kidou]
Technique Element: [Water]
Technique Description and Effects: The user releases their reiatsu into the air, permeating the surroundings with their spiritual pressure. Rather than suffocating the opponent and bringing them to their knees in the presence of the user’s spiritual pressure, a thick mist is formed instead. The mist takes one whole post to form completely. When it does, both the user and the opponent have their sight dulled by the thick mist that forms. Within the mist, one can only see two feet in front of them. Energy sensory is also dulled, unless one has a sensory greater than 200. The class of the technique depends on area the mist spreads to. Ten meters around the user requires 100 reiatsu. Two hundred meters around the user requires 200 reiatsu. A quarter of a mile or about 400 meters around the user will use up 400 reiatsu. For each post that the technique remains active, the user must pay 50 extra reiatsu.
How to use technique: Release reiatsu as though one was trying to use the gravitational force to crush the opponent with their spiritual pressure and activate the technique.
Drawbacks: There are no drawbacks other than the reiatsu drain to keep the technique active.

Technique Name: [Kage no Kurōku (lit. Shadow Cloak)]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Kidou]
Technique Element: [Shadow]
Technique Description and Effects: By releasing reiatsu across the body, the user can summon a thin veil of shadows to surround the body. The veil of shadows resembles the dark mist that surrounds Berserker from Fate/Zero. When summoned, the veil of shadows makes the user appear as a blur when moving. It becomes harder to distinguish the user and their movements, especially in an environment with any type of shadows. When shadows are around, the user is also able to blend with them completely, especially if the shadow is large enough to cover the user. To any onlookers, it appears as though the user simply turns invisible. One would need a sensory of 200 or greater in order to keep up with the blurring movements or to see the user when they meld into the shadows. The veil lasts for 7 posts.
How to use technique: Release reiatsu across the body and activate the technique.
Drawbacks: No other drawbacks other than reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: Mark of Silence
Class: 3
Technique Type: Kidou
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description and Effects: This technique like the Color Distortion World technique allows the user to form a seal in the shape of the Onmitsukido seal on a palm of choice. The seal can then be imprinted from the palm onto the surface of an object or another individual. Once the seal has been imprinted on a surface all sound that happens to be within a 100” range is gone. No sound will occur within this space for it is sealed within the mark on that surface for the next 5 rounds. The seal can be destroyed however only by an attack that has a superior offensive stat to the Spiritual Pressure that cast this technique.
How to use technique: The user gathers reiatsu to the hand to form the Onmitsukido seal within the palm. Once this is done the reiatsu/seal can be imprinted onto a specific location through contact.
Technique Drawbacks: The seal can’t be placed on the body of the user. This technique has no other drawbacks besides cost.

Technique Name: Hyunnarda
Class: 5-3-2
Technique Type: Hakudo
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description and Effects: This technique is a rarity and possesses multiple levels of use that branch off from the previous.
Class 5: At this class the technique has only just blossomed into a lethal flower. At this point once the user has flowed reiatsu into their hands they have gained the ability to transfer the force of any strike that inflict through the outer layer of an object/target. An example of this is that it allows the user to strike the inside of a tree while the bark takes no damage whatsoever. The purpose of this technique is to maneuver around defensive abilities that make assassination extremely difficult. Each strike requires the user spend 100 Reiatsu. Another trick that this class has is that for an additional tax of 200 reiatsu the user to able to transfer the damage they inflict to a location they wish as long as it’s connected to the striking point. An example is that the user can strike an arm and transfer the damage to the lungs or stomach.
Class 3: At this class the technique has increased in potency by at least double the prior strength. While the actual method and purpose of the technique is almost the same as one would expect this variation is meant to bypass defenses that are different. Instead of bypassing the outer layer of the target like the prior variation this one allows the user to transfer the force of their strike through a physical medium such as a wall. The force can be sent through defenses such as a wall in order to strike targets on the opposite side. This is mainly a technique that can aid in assassination by striking through a door or wall and hitting the target on the opposite side while never being seen. Unlike the prior variation however due to the force being refined to a much greater degree it can’t be focused into a desired location. Another very useful possibility of this technique is that it allows the user to strike through an ally in order to inflict the damage to a foe behind them. Each usage requires 250 Reiatsu.
Class 2: The most refined/potent variation of this technique is one that very few utilize due to its strength. While the prior variations are meant for bypassing defenses and aiding in assassination this variation is too refined for such actions. This variation transfers the users force by using the air itself as a medium. Unlike the prior variations that required a physical medium this one only requires the air or even water. The actual effects of this technique are that the force moves through the air in a perfect line in the direction of the strike. When the force is transfer through the air it’s easily visible appearing to be an air vacuum. This technique transfers the force for a total of 50” anything that is in the pathway has the force inflicted upon the area effectively causing external/internal damage to any target that is catch in the path. This makes it unusable for assassins due to the fact that is would destroy anything between the assassin and the target. Each usage requires 450 reiatsu.
How to use technique: Flow reiatsu throughout the arm intended to be used at the desired time release the reiatsu from the hand in the direction desired.
Technique Drawbacks: This technique has the drawback of muscle stress through all of the classes while the stress increases as the classes do. At class 5 the stress is only present for a short amount of time after use in the hands. When used more than four times between two posts the muscles of the hands will begin to tire causing incredible pain the additional ability of the Class 5 variation can only be used once every other post or else the muscles tire. The Class 3 variation can only be used twice between three posts or else the muscles in the arm used will tire to the point that numbness sets in and it becomes nearly unusable. The final variation can only be used once every three posts or else the muscles tire to the point that the arms are almost unusable and the skin will actually tire as well causing bleeding at a considerable speed. The variations all place stress on the muscles due to that fact the variations can lead to the drawbacks if used between the time the muscles need to relax and become usable again. This technique requires 1 in Hakudo rising in requirement as the variations do. (Class 5-1Hakudo) (Class 3-2 Hakudo) (Class 2-3 Hakudo)

Technique Name: Twin Dragon Kiss
Class: 4
Technique Type: Hakudo
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description and Effects: By flowing the reiatsu into the palms the user if successful in striking the abdomen of the target is able to flow their own reiatsu into the body of the target while the force is transferred. This leads to two separate effects the first being that internal damage is dealt that equals 50% total strength of the user. That however is only a faint for the true effects of this technique. The reiatsu that is transferred into the target’s body causes the heat beat of the target to increase steadily over the flowing 4 posts. During that time any technique that the inflicted utilizes will take significantly higher stamina to the point that exhaustion is very possible. Costs standard class amount 150 reiatsu.
How to use technique: Flow Reiatsu throughout the arms into the palms while striking the abdomen of the target with both palms at once.
Technique Drawbacks: This technique puts a small amount of stress on the muscles of both arms. Requires 2 in Hakudo and only works if the palms strike the abdomen. However, it should be stated that it is successful if the technique is used from behind targeting the same area. Also if only a single palm manages to strike the required location then the technique is only half as effective.

Technique Name: Tetsushiko
Class: 4
Technique Type: Hakudo
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description and Effects: Those that learn this technique are able to inflict sever damage to a single area of the target’s body. Those that possess a basic knowledge of Pressure Points are able to deliver a swift strike with a single finger/thumb to a single point. This results in the finger penetrating through the flesh causing a bullet like wound to be inflicted if successful. Those that have acquired a greater knowledge of the Pressure Point System are able to literally inflict the small wounds through weak sections of the body in order to damage internal organs or even cause a pressure point to scar. This can cause incredible damage to the body normally resulting in terrible pain and excessive bleeding.
How to use technique: Strike a specific spot on the target’s body with a single finger/thumb.
Technique Drawbacks: The technique can’t be used to defend or counter against an attack that has 75% of the user’s strength or else the finger will break. Requires 1-2 in Pressure Points.

Technique Name: Chained Dragon Strike
Class: 4
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: One of the simplest of the Shihoin Pressure Point techniques available, the Chained Dragon Strike simply causes complete bodily paralysis in the individual struck by it for a total of 1 post.
How to use technique: Hit the Sequence of 3 pressure points.
Drawbacks: All an opponent needs to do to break the paralysis brought on by this technique is spend 100 reiatsu. Once that is done, the paralysis is instantly broken. In addition, it requires at least a 1 in Pressure Points to learn.

Technique Name: Raging Oni Strike
Class: 3
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: With a few rapid strikes to the hips, torso, and underarms, the user of this technique can increase the speed of the victim by 20% of their total. While this may seem like an advantage at first, the speed boost is almost guaranteed to cause difficulties in the victim's fighting style, as they will not be used to this increased speed. In addition, the sequence of pressure point strikes will force the victim's body to "vent" reiatsu, meaning that they will AUTOMATICALLY loose 150 reiatsu each post. In addition, types that have a stamina count will loose 2 posts of stamina each post if they are active while under the effect of this technique, and do not gain the benefits of resting, due to the massive strain that results from this "venting".
How to use technique: Hit the 3 pressure points needed.
Drawbacks: Requires a 3 in Hakuda and a 2 in Pressure Points to use. Unlike most other Hakuda based techniques, this one actually costs reiatsu, weighing in at 150 reiatsu per use. In addition, if any of the hits are interrupted before this technique is fully completed, the reiatsu is wasted. As a final note, this technique only lasts for 4 posts.

Technique Name: Five Collapsing Heavens Strike
Class: 1
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: This is the hardest of the Shihoin Spiritual Pressure Point techniques to pull off, but by far the most effective in its purpose. It requires a ten-hit sequence of pressure point attacks to iniatiate, and can only be used on individuals in a Released state. But once it gets successfully used, the effect instantly begins. In order to stay released, the victim will be forced to spend the reiatsu cost of their release state every post. In the case of Quincy using Final Silence, they will be forced to pay double the amount per post to stay released. In addition, all races must pay double the normal amount to enter a secondary stage of release if this technique is used on them while in first stage release.
How to use technique: Hit the 5 pressure points.
Drawbacks: Requires a 3 in Hakuda and a 3 in Pressure Points. In addition to the five-hit combo needed to initiate this technique, the user must pay 400 reiatsu to force the overdrive of spiritual energy in the victim. If the hit sequence is interrupted, the reiatsu is wasted.

Technique Name: Kage no Gisō
Class: 5
Technique Type: Kidou
Technique Element: [Shadow]
Technique Description and Effects: By releasing reiatsu over the entire body while maintaining focus the user is able to layer them in what appears to be darkness. The darkness is able to take shape and appearance of anyone the user is able to picture in their own mind. This effectively makes the user appear to be someone else. While this technique may not be best suited for single combat it is effective when working alongside someone else for tactic approaches. The darkness stays stable for 5 posts before disintegrating off of the body into small dust like particles. Only those that have Senses of 200 and higher are able to tell that something about the appearance seems strange. Anyone who possesses a skill ranking of 2 in Illusion Resist or Analyzing can also able to come to the same conclusion.
How to use technique: Focus Reiatsu throughout/over the body including clothing.
Technique Drawbacks: This technique has no drawbacks other than the Reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: I'm not Left Handed
Class: 4
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The Shihoin have mastered the fine art of deception quite well. In fact, they often incorporate it into their fighting styles, to the point that they can actually strengthen themselves somewhat by using their non-primary hand for sword combat. By altering the flow of reishi in their body over a short amount of time, they can greatly increase their capacity for fighting with a weapon in their main hand. For every consecutive post that you wield your blade like this, you gain an extra 20 points in speed for strikes only upon switching hands.
How to use technique: Use your off-hand for a number of posts, then switch to your main hand.
Drawbacks: Requires a 2 in Hakuda and a 2 in any one-handed weapon. In addition, those who are ambidextrous get no bonus from this technique. Minimum post number required before switching hands is 3, and must start by using their off hand from the beginning of the battle to gain this benefit. Lasts for only 2 posts once used.

Technique Name: With Both Hands Behind My Back!
Class: 4
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: By crossing their arms behind their back and redirecting the reishi flow from them to the rest of their body, the user of this technique can increase their total speed by 25%. If this technique is mastered, the increase is 30%.
How to use technique: Fight without the use of your hands.
Drawbacks: Requires a 3 in Hakuda to use. Can not use arms for anything while fighting with this technique.
Made by: Shihoin Family
Reserved?: Shihoin Family or Onmitsukido trained only.
Technique Name: You Think Those Chains Will Stop Me?!
Class: 4
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The Shihoin and Onmitsukido are no strangers to capture. As such, they have this technique so that even when an enemy believes that they have a Shinigami restrained, they can still fight even harder. While restrained, the user of this technique gains a 30% increase to Strength and Speed for purposes of Hakuda and hand-to-hand fighting only. When this technique is mastered, even full body restraints won't be able to stop the user of this technique from fighting if they can still move their head.
How to use technique: Alter the reishi flow within your body while restrained.
Drawbacks: Requires a 3 in Hakuda to use. Must be restrained in some fashion, with at least three limbs not fully usable for combat. Full paralysis makes it so that this technique doesn't work, though simple heavy restraints will not.

Technique Name: [Kage no sakkaku (lit. Shadow Illusion)]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Kidou]
Technique Element: [Shadow]
Technique Description and Effects: When in an area with any type of shadows, this technique can be used. By releasing reiatsu across the body and into the air, the user can summon shadows either from their shadow cloak or from the environment to do their bidding. The shadows can be used to distract the opponent, trap them, or drive them mad. The shadows can also be manipulated by the user, but they aren’t real at all. The whole thing is an illusion activated when the opponent sees the glowing seal in the shape of the Onmitsukido symbol that forms anywhere on the user’s body. Once seen, the opponent is trapped unless they are able to break out with superior reiatsu strength. A Level 3 in Illusion Resist or Calm Mind is also necessary. If one only possesses one out of the two, the illusion’s effectiveness is reduced by 50%. The user must also pay 50 extra reiatsu for each post after the first post that the shadow illusion is kept active.
How to use technique: Release reiatsu into the air and across the body and form the seal.
Drawbacks: With no shadows around, this technique becomes absolutely useless. Also, there is the reiatsu drain for keeping up the technique.

Technique Name: [Karā kakuran sekai (lit. Color Disruption World)]
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Kidou]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: This one allows the user to form a seal in the shape of the Onmitsukido symbol on the palm of the hand. With the formation of the seal, the world around the user turns completely black-and-white. To anyone around, all colors disappear leaving only the black-and-white visible. In actuality, the technique is an illusion activated when the seal is seen. The illusion disrupts the ability to see color over an area so that those trapped within the illusion can no longer distinguish the user when moving. This black-and-white world makes the user appear as a blur to those affected by the illusion because of the lack of color that prevents differentiation of the user from the world around. The illusion lasts for a total of 5 posts before ending. After that, there is a cooldown of 3 posts before the illusion can be used again. Breaking the illusion would first require one to realize that it is an illusion and then have at most a 3 in Illusion Resist, Calm Mind, Battle Focus, or Strength of Will. A 2 in any of those four skills will allow one to see splotches of color in the black-and-white world. A combination of 2 or higher in any two of those skills will allow complete negation of the illusion. Significantly higher reiatsu strength (>150) can also create splotches of color in the world when the reiatsu is flexed, enough to allow those trapped within to realize it is an illusion and further dispel it.
How to use technique: The user gathers reiatsu to the hand to form the Onmitsukido seal within the palm. When the target(s) sees the seal, the illusion is activated and color vision can no longer be perceived by said target(s).
Drawbacks: For starters, if the seal can’t be seen, then the illusion won’t take effect. Aside from that, there aren’t any other drawbacks other than reiatsu cost.

Pressure Points

Deception

Kido
