Name: Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time
Participants: Shizuka Sanamizu / Nola Vilde
Location: Just outside Karakura High School
Shizuka was busy reminiscing about her high school days. She remembered all of the fun she had with her friends and was incredibly thankful that it wasn't really a bad time. In fact, save for probably just a handful of instances, she had a really great experience during those four years. It had been quite an adventure, even if she never partied or did any of that stereotypical stuff. Actually, as she thought about it, she remembered she didn't do any of that in college, either. She was just devoted to studying and making sure she got her degree. Part of her strongly wished she had at least tried to be more social, but she wasn't the kind of person to do that back then.
As if she was even that old. She only recently graduated a couple of months ago. But high school, despite being four years in her past, seemed like something she was in just a few days ago. She walked around the halls and explored some classrooms before finding herself outside by the sports fields. Gym was a good time for her. She was already quite the athlete from her gymnastics training, so gym was a fun time for her to show off. That, and after she received her Fullbring at sixteen, she used her prowess as a spiritual being to gain an edge on the other students. Gym was meant to push physical abilities, right? So she would just push her own limits, too.
Still, she enjoyed thinking about those times. They were simple, free of worry and sadness, and very special to her. Shizuka was sitting on the bleachers outside just thinking about what it had been like. She was staring up at the bright blue sky with her hand over her eyes as she squinted to protect herself. The light was amazingly strong even if she wasn't looking at the sun. She wondered why the blueness of the sky was enough to hurt her vision and assumed it was just because of how the atmosphere worked. That was out of her field of study, anyway. It wasn't her job to question nature.
But, of course, she'd never be truly alone. The Fullbringer was as distracted as she could be, so that paired with her lack of Energy Sensory would give anyone the ability to sneak up on her. She sighed an unsuspecting sigh and breathed in the summer air. It was hot. She was using Soul Command just slightly to cool herself off with some air movement, but it wasn't really enough to make a huge difference. She was very warm. Still, it was fun. She loved sitting outside while the bugs couldn't reach her because of the air moving around her body. In all honesty, that was the best part of Soul Command. She didn't have to control the bugs to keep them away, so she could wear any outfit she wanted without fear of getting bitten. Oh, what a gift!
