Location: In the outskirts of the Rukongai, two enemies of the soul reapers face off where none but the beast clan will sense them. The battlefield is a valley filled with trees. The valley itself is 300 meters long and 50 meters wide. The flanking mountains are 120 meters tall. The average height of the trees is 15 meters.

[Lagos Oscuras]

Lagos Oscuras found herself within the wilderness of the Rukongai with a bored expression here to do some reconnaissance. Her mission was to see how much damage had been done to the Soul Society after the whole Vandenreich invasion, file a report, and go back to Hueco Mundo. She was also to exterminate any survivor Quincy and or Shinigami that might be within these woods. “What a damn tedious task I’ve been given. I hate finding hiders.” She has been in this place for around three hours and had killed eight Vandenreich Quincy that had been left behind as well as a squad of Shinigami that had found her. She was sure though that the Vandenreich Quincy were still actively working in this location.

Whether it was to take back stray Quincy back to their homeland, or perhaps setting bases of operations close to the Soul Society, it didn’t matter. If she found a Quincy, she would kill them...simple as that. Step by step her white boots would trek through the soil as it was quiet and beautiful in it’s own aspect. The texture of the air was thick with spiritual energy. It was entirely unlike Las Noches though and the desert sands she was so accustomed to. It seemed far too peaceful and quiet here and she had met little to no resistance ever since she arrived here. Those idiot Shinigami must be occupied with something else...but what?

Lagos had held the turquoise colored handle of her blade before then smelling the air. “Quincy. I can smell the blood.” She had released the handle of her blade as she took step by step through the woods as the smell would get stronger. “My enemy is injured so no need to use my sword. Hierro will be more than enough.” Taking step by step, she remained quiet using her skills in stealth and then walking behind a tall oak. She took another sniff before stabbing her hand straight through it before swiftly pulling it out. There was a slight gasp and then silence as she walked around the oak to reveal a male man in white garbs, now deceased with a hole piercing his back.

Flicking the blood away from her fingertips, she allowed herself to observe the wounds that he had to see he had been sliced on his right leg as well as a shallow cut along his midsection. He likely came to rest along this tree after having escaped the conflict. Although, she wondered if that meant if more Shinigami were close. Likely that was the case as she was sure that he wouldn’t be resting here for long. “Perhaps I should have kept him alive for the sake of getting more information. Well, we all make mistakes.” She left the corpse there as she remained quiet, observing the area for tracks or something to follow to lead her to other beings. Hopefully to more Quincy to exterminate.

Lagos was not known to be a friendly woman, and she took her jobs seriously despite having euphoric sensations when going on a killing spree. She was known for her brutality, cruelty, and her brash nature. However, she has been working to change that as to be more pleasing to her Espada’s eyes. It was almost time for another meeting with the Los Ojos again, but perhaps she would need to postpone such a meeting. Shikihitsuko-Sama has been keeping very close watch over her lately and that was concerning. She would not want her motives to be discovered, not yet anyways. Something right now was bothering her.

There has been a lack of activity seemingly in her location. No signs of battle, no copious amounts of corpses, and certainly no enemies that weren’t in some way injured or fatigued. Perhaps those Quincy left their subordinates to die here? That seemed rather amusing and she would like to tease the thought that the Quincy had no sense of camaraderie allowing their loyal soldiers to be left behind and die for the sake of some sort of God. They would be like the Arrancar in that sense she supposed. Although, the Arrancar did not worship Kouhai like a god. In fact, many looked down on him. Perhaps a Quincy caravan would come soon enough. Perhaps not.

She left a trail of corpses to allow Hollows to eat, or possibly for their allies to find them later on. Her silver hair had been kept as a neat bun on her head as her cerulean eyes looked out into the landscape. "Perhaps I should have brought some underlings to deal with this for me. Uggh...so sluggish with nothing blood rushing to do. Although my orders were clear." Tapping her fingers along her blade, she had walked through feeling impatient. There was nothing more dull than to be assigned a task that was so time consuming as this. She might as well destroy this whole forest and alert some trouble to come to her.

Jyuria relaxed as she settled atop the small shed, hardly a building at that. Idly, the woman kicked her feet as she stared off into the distance, her standard uniform as always making her a little sweaty as she dragged in reiatsu, her cross soaking up the energy as she watched the next squad melt into the shadows. Almost everyone was accounted for. At least all of her own squad. She considered making a name for her little group, but honestly what would they be called? She mused over the prospect, running a finger over her chin thoughtfully as the notion sifted through her thoughts.

"Some of the main force haven't made it back."

The report came from Stanne, her eyes drifting in his direction as she lofted a brow. That was interesting. She could have sworn she made sure to avoid any Beast clan bases. Rising to her feet, it was the work of a moment to brush herself off before regarding the man, watching as he threw her a salute, despite the fact that she held no rank whatsoever. Just when she was getting used to being just a rank and file soldier. Well, sortof. Truth be told, given her success in running operations as well as organizing her companions, Jyuria had proven to be a fantastic leader. However with all of the chaos in the vandereich, she had remained where she was. Not that it bothered her. She'd earned the respect of 'her men'.

"Might be some puppy chewing on their widdle knees. I'll take a look around. You can head back if you want. I guess I should check around or something." The private murmured, sighing to herself as she rubbed the side of her neck and looked around. There was nobody from quite a ways, so she slipped into the shadows, sliding into the treeline just outside that little village as she began to circle the area, keeping hidden as she moved, making absolutely sure that whatever was out there did not get too close to her. She tapped her cross thoughtfully, having gotten all the reishi she could drag in before her conversation with Stanne had ended.

She hoped it wasn't hollows. Strong as she had become, she still was not all that thrilled with the idea of tangling with them just yet. Let alone awakening the beast inside of herself. Her eyes scanning around her as that silent hush passed over the area. Nothing but the trees and insects filled the air, sounds that Jyuria used to mask her all but silent motions. All in all she wasn't all that tense. She remained relaxed...calm. Even when she began to notice the bodies, and the faint scent of hollow in the area, causing her to grimace slightly and almost sigh to herself, stopping herself from making noise as she began to look around.


Great, just what she needed. And if it was killing all of these quincy, even though they were all fairly weak, it was no reason for her to be careless. She kept herself alert and conscious of her surroundings, nothing without stealth training superior to her own would be able to get the drop on her, but she still was concerned. Should she release her bow? She wasn't actually sure if that was needed, for now she remained as she was, noticing that the bodies were becoming fresher. This was....a little strange.

No enemy blood at all. Whoever this was had managed to mow down numerous of her comrades without even being injured. Which meant that either they were incredibly weak, or that this thing was incredibly strong. She couldn't exactly leave this to chance, and she began to set a firm stare forward, readying herself. Whatever this... thing was, she would have to obliterate it. No holding back, no feeling them out. If they were this strong, she would have to sneak up on them and destroy them utterly. Completely.

I guess you could say, we're taking no quinsoners she thought to herself, smiling and giggling in her head at her own stupid joke. But nah for reals, once she found this ....whoever this was, it looked like she was going to need to take them down as quickly as humanely possible. She was in no mood for hollow poisoning. This buttface was going to be stuffed with more feathered arrowshafts than a range target with daddy issues.

[Lagos Oscuras]

She had done enough looking. Another fifteen minutes had passed and she had not run into any secret camps, groups of enemies, or any resistance. It seemed all was clear. She didn’t bother suppressing her spiritual energy as there was no need if nobody was going to attack her. She had killed two squads of Shinigami, a single squad of Quincy who refused to tell her anything, and a bunch of stragglers here and there. She knew there was a Quincy camp around somewhere and she was going to find it. She would burn down this whole entire damn forest if she had to. Perhaps she was going in the wrong direction. Therefore, she decided to turn around and make a loop before heading in the opposite direction of the woods.

It was quiet...very quiet and as she walked back, she stopped short when she saw the corpses she had left behind. Using her athletic senses, she was trying to discern that something had been slightly off. When living as a Hollow, one normally picks up on every small detail seeing if not, it could very well lead to their death in Hueco Mundo. However, it seemed there was nothing after all and Lagos continued with her posture straight. She was going to find that Quincy Encampment and kill everyone in it. It was her mission after all. She doubted there was really anyone worth expending her energy for.

She walked but with her senses sharp as she tried to make sure that there were no threats nearby. Those Beast Clan members were annoying when they came in groups and they were ferociously protective over their land. Walking straight forward, she avoided the corpses with the intent of going to the opposite end of the wilderness. “Frustrating to be here...I don’t know why I am here doing such dirty work. The Hollows in the area could probably do this it’s so easy. Why are you wasting my time on such trivial things master Shikihitsuko I wonder.”

She wasn’t speaking to anyone in particular other than herself, but she took the moment to rub her temples and step out. This was ridiculous...being here and killing half dead imbeciles. It wasn’t a challenge. It was boring and it made Lagos rather sour at the moment. Taking this moment, she rubbed the top of her mask. Should she just burn down the whole forest? That was sounding like a more and more appealing option at this moment. She had been here for quite some time scouring and searching and being fruitless in her efforts.

Well, she was sure if she kept on heading forward, she would be sensed eventually and then approached. That is if the Quincy cared about fighting her which they probably did to some extents. If they didn’t engage her, she would just barge into their camp and finish it off. “Uughh…” Lagos stretched her arms out before she took a deep breath. She needed to calm down before she did anything rash. Releasing would tire her out if she did it at the wrong time. Now was the time to plan patiently for the right time for things. Perhaps she should open a Garganta and bring in those other Arrancar to deal with this. Options, options.

It seemed like her prey was somewhat frustrated. Not to mention an arrancar. A small one, but still an arrancar. She honestly was a bit surprised as she heard the girl, that voice sounded only mildly familiar, even though it was clearly not the blonde she knew from the world of the living. She supposed she aught to be grateful for that or something, but even so, she was hardly going to take it easy on them. However mildly pretty they might be.

For a moment, she simply eyed the arrancar, looking them over bit by bit as she scanned the arrancar, not allowing the woman's looks to fool her. She adjusted that black cloak of hers and narrowed her eyes, mentally calculating the distance between them before she raised her hand,the slivers of nearby reiatsu slithering into her cross as she took one last big drink of reiatsu from her surroundings, making sure to take it in first before she released her bow property, a miniscule little shortbow forming at her wrist as blackness swirled at it's middle.

A single black arrow twisted into existence, she herself stepping behind a tree, making sure that she remained out of sight. If she was lucky, her opponent would not have the enegry sensory to detect her as she fired that black arrow, and her body suddenly vanished as she sealed herself inside of the arrow's shadow. That arrow speeding off at a blinding rate as it promptly streaked, weaving through the trees as it would streak off out of sight, circling around with that deadly stealth inherent to it's form. That arrow would rush in and aim to plow straight through the arrancar's middle at that ridiculous speed, hoping to bore a hole clean through the woman before emerging through the other side.

That arrow would burn away any blood clinging to it before Jyuria would simply emerge from nowhere, popping back into reality from the sealed shadow, appearing just behind Lagos, beside the arrow, as that thing would twist out of existence, reforming at her wrist before it was re-fired at the arrancar's shoulder, attempting to take out one of their arms in the mad rush, the quincy's heart pounding away as she suddenly had a much closer look at Lagos.

Even after firing she had to admit the woman was an odd sight, almost calm and human-looking. It was no wonder the woman was able to not get a scratch on her. she supposed most of the quincy that saw her likely would not have deemed her much of an immediate threat. Ah well, in any case she would leap back, after firing the shot, her feet skidding along the forest floor as she kept her eyes locked onto the Arrancar as her arrow would, regardless as to wether or not it had hit, circle around and begin weaving through the trees around both of them.

Her arrows had a lot of potential to them, especially in that they were able to keep on trucking after being fired, making them very good at saturating an area with her fire. Not only that, but having fired it from her shortbow, it was much faster than a normal arrow, and that combined with how hard it was to see made the arrow as deadly as any kido spell or cero. If all went well, hopefully she could take out this Arrancar quickly, or at least force them into ressureccion. From there, it would be a waiting game.

She knew Arrancar could only ressurect for so long, not only that but once they ran out, they were helpless and unlike other races could not refresh their release. It would be a long endurance, but if she could not outright beat them, at the very least she aught to be able to outlast them. "Sup Cutie. Be a doll and don't move too much yea? I couldn't hit the broad side of your mom!" She would speak out with something of a sheepish, nervous smile.

She was utter shit at trashtalking. Really? a 'Your mom' joke? did Arrancar even HAVE mothers? It immediately occurred to her how ineffectual her insult may have been, not to mention she called the woman cute, causing her to clear her throat and blurt out. "I mean that in a bad way bye the way! Like... you don't look like you can fight! Not that you're attractive!" She attempted to salvage, hoping to turn her compliment into an insult as she faltered. She could HEAR her fucking arrow giggling at her. SHUT UP! YOURE JUST AN ARROW!

Lagos had continued walking forward however, of course her foe was hiding in the shadows, watching the Arrancar’s every move. Once Jyuria had used her Bow Release, her hiding spot was forfeit as Lagos could immediately sense the spiritual pressure released as the bow transformed. The fox masked Arrancar turned quickly with her right hand raised before immediately being pierced through the chest by a black arrow. It tore through her trench coat and passed through the chest cleanly, but no blood had been on that arrow. It had not dealt any damage whatsoever as the arrow had passed through the gaping hole that all Hollow and Arrancar had albeit in different places. The arrow sped past Lagos, having ruined her outfit before suddenly, Jyuria would appear from the shadow of the arrow itself!

Lagos had been caught off guard by the sudden appearance, but the shadow of Jyuria behind her gave it all away. Lagos growled before pivoting quickly and attempting to kick the Quincy’s bow arm upward causing the arrow to fire into the air as well as for the woman in front of her to stumble from the force of her Hierro enforced kick and possibly break a bone considering their differences in strength. Jyuria assuming she had managed her composure skid backwards as Lagos now faced her assaulter directly with a burning hole in her clothing. ‘That was close. I almost got hurt pretty badly. This foe is rather serious.’ Standing to her full height, she looked at the woman across from her before tossing off her trench coat to reveal her tan skin and the gaping hole in her chest as well as a grey tanktop and a generous amount of skin.

Jyuria opened her mouth and spoke utter nonsense babble about mothers and not being able to hit their broadsides. It seemed she wasn't quite right in the head, but she at least was visually attractive. “Was that supposed to be an insult of some sort?” Lagos wasn't smiling as she drew her katana which stood at the height of three feet. Being called cute and then immediately having her opponent try to recant made her seem incompetent in some ways. Assuming Jyuria’s arrow was still floating around them, Lagos gave a very bored sigh. “Why do I always have to fight the beautiful girls? They just never seem to want to just go into bed with me. Shame. You...Quincy. What's your name?” Lagos pointed her finger outward as to address Jyuria with her sharp nail. Lagos was a little less sour about being here seeing this beautiful Quincy was here. Lagos would enjoy beating her down and making love with her perhaps if she bothered to leave Jyuria alive. There was no need to get serious quite yet.

Based off what she analyzed, Lagos understood that Jyuria’s bow release was dangerous. It would be wise to enter close range combat and overwhelm her with attacks to drain her stamina and take her down. Assumably receiving a response from Jyuria, Lagos formed a ball of energy on her fingertip before shooting it outwards, a Bala which was the size of a small car had been launched which she was sure Jyuria was going to have to use her flash technique to dodge considering their distances weren't far apart. Assuming Jyuria had dodged the projectile of death, it would speed along breaking through several trees before exploding in the background. Lagos was trying to analyze Jyuria and see how things were going to turn out. Her mastered Bala was used to analyze Jyuria’s speed. The Bala was incredibly hot as it was explosive and that was a small taste of this Arrancar’s power. Were she to resurrection, this Quincy would have a rather bad time fighting against her wide scale powers.

Lagos’ eyes would scan Jyuria up and down before the sword wielding Arrancar rushed forward with her eyes focused on Jyuria and weary of the flying arrow around them. Lagos used her left hand to hold the blade while the right was free. She would attempt to get close and reduce the distance before aiming a diagonal slash down aimed for Jyuria’s stomach by pushing off of her feet to get herself within range. Lagos was just playing with her food right now attempting to see the maximum of Jyuria’s capabilities. Lagos upon delivering her downward slice would immediately press forward, slicing upward, and then delivering a flurry of sword aimed for her chest and midsection. Very basic for now, just testing Jyuria’s fighting skill.

The sheer luck that her seraph would plow straight through that hole, even though the wings were outstretched and would slice into the surrounding flesh, was still a bit astounding, and once she appeared in front of Lagos, and of course the fact that the woman promptly retorted to her little jab. Ineffectual as it was. A sheepish smile spread across Jyuria's face. "Sorry, never was good at sword play. Or Word Play. Come to think of it my jokes are always pretty flat...." She paused.

She was thinking about trying new material when she noticed that finger pointed in her direction. Even being addressed, she moved to the side, so that if Lagos decided to fire, that would give her time to avoid the sudden burst of reishi, and almost immediately it was right, and the woman managed to keep that bala from doing more than slicing the side of her uniform and cape, the garment hiding the fact that a bit of blood bow decorated her shoulder from the close call. Yea this wasn't good.

"Whooh! Fuck. and here I was betting it was gonna be a cero." she chuckled lightly at that, waving her hand away, bulling through the pain as she relaxed and tilted her head to the side, the flight of that arrow speeding around them not making a sound as it continued to watch the two of them. " I was actually thinking we could take a break. Do we really have to imme-" but Lagos rushed in, and out of the sidelines that incredibly fast arrow SLICED in, spreading it's wings and slamming in to blow a hole clean through the hand holding the sword.

In that same moment, Jyuria sidestepped as her own superior reflexes kicked in, catching Lagos's motions as she was following through, and if Lagos still somehow managed that downward slice, or even if she didn't, Jyuria's deep black cloak would ripple into existence around her body, forming the second property of her bow release as that blade would slam into her cloak and then stop, stopped by the hard feathers that covered it. A fresh arrow springing to life to snag that blade on it's wing, cutting into the metal of the zanpaku'to just a tiny bit as two more arrows unfurled their wings, emerging from her cloak as Jyuria stared calmly at LAgos.

Those three arrows were primed to leap from her cloak and fly straight at Lagos's chest, just like that stealthed arrow would still be circling around, ready to streak in and disrupt any attempts at an attack. She'd be able to regocnize a finger or hand pointing in her direction, and that arrow was more than fast enough to sever whatever limb might try to fire at her. Jyuria giving a grunt before smiling nervously.

"Goddamn girl you're strong. You look built like a dancer but you hit like a bodybuilder! We should work out together sometime." She chuckled, still joking away as she paused, looking a bit more serious as she eyed Lagos. "But in all seriousness. You really are a piece of pretty tail. Kinda dissappointing that a girl like you's stuck wearing Kouhai's collar." She noted with a clear disappointed look.

"A girl like you seems a little wasted on Las Noches, don't you think?"

So, Lagos had actually taken a little bit of damage, as there was a bit of blood now at her hollow hole, but the damage wasn’t extensive to say the least. Although that alone showed that the arrows of Jyuria could break through her Hierro. Looking up to Jyuria after her statement, the Quincy woman spoke about how she had no talent in either sword or word play. “I don’t care about that. That’s no relevance to me or this battle." Lagos was rather lucky to not have been hit by a mortal blow through those arrows of Jyurias...rather lucky indeed. It was time to launch her counter attack to this not so observant woman.

Firing her massive Bala, Jyuria seemed to have caught on as she immediately stepped to her right to avoid losing half of her body to a Bala, and instead had part of her uniform and her cape ripped by the sheer power of her projectile. Other than this, it would be of course extremely hot as mentioned before, perhaps even burning the skin. Jyuria made a statement of her surprise of the Bala being launched, as she was thinking a Cero was going to be launched instead. Her Cero was larger...far larger than her Bala was for sure. Lagos frowned at this overly care free Quincy and her antics. So, she went to attack her before she could say anything, but it did seem Jyuria was trying to say something.

Rushing forward, Lagos was planning on getting into close combat, the weakness of most normal Quincy. If she was going to ask “Did they really have to fight” Lagos would have likely pointed out that Jyuria attacked her first, and in quite a cowardice manner at that. As she rushed in, she saw almost immediately from the corner of her eye that the arrow was rushing forward in a rapid attempt to pierce through her hand. Quickly turning, she was barely able to tilt her blade vertically to clash her blade along with the feather of the living arrow before using her strength to push it backwards before looking to Jyuria and her cloak.

She wasn’t able to launch her strike for Jyuria due to defending herself against the arrow, but within a moment 3 arrows at rapid fast movement had sped for her chest yet again. Time seemed to slow down for just a moment for representation as Lagos would use Sonido right as one of the arrows nicked her tanktop to appear nearly ten feet away as the arrows would likely slam downward into the ground. Lagos using Sonido had moved at the speed of 4,550 as she far outclassed the speed of the arrows for just a single step. Lagos stood there blade in hand and her blue eyes glaring into the figure of Jyuria temporarily ceasing the combat as Jyuria seemingly had the guts to smile.

“The reason why my blows are stronger than what they seem is because of my Hierro. It is rather strong although it pales in comparison to many other Arrancar. Although I wouldn’t talk as if we are casual friends Quincy. Your race and mine are destined for combat and struggle.” Lagos stood blade in hand and she listened to Jyuria talk about how she was rather visually appealing, and that made Lagos smile for a first. She realized that Jyuria and Lagos wouldn’t be able to have any close intimacy seeing their whole...ahem...burning issues, but that didn’t bother Lagos so much. Feminine company was always welcome although intercourse just made it better. That smile quickly frowned though as Jyuria mentioned that Lagos was wearing Kouhai’s collar.

The arrancar grasped the necklace around her neck with the engraving for Inu, which was what Lagos was assuming Jyuria was talking about. “This has nothing to do with that false lord Kouhai. Don’t you dare associate me to be a pet of his. I fight for lord Shikihitsuko my Espada and myself only. I have no interest in the vendettas and wills of a Shinigami.” Lagos glared coldly at Jyuria at this moment as the playful mood she had was almost all but dead. When the Quincy in front of her mentioned that her skills were being wasted for Las Noches, the Arrancar raised her eyebrows in curiosity. She was interested in what Jyuria was implying.

“Go on with it. What’s this message you are trying to tell me? Are you trying to start something with me?” Los Ojos the organization she had been building from the ground up was something that was meant to be a contingency group to try and overthrow Kouhai if the time was ever right but also to serve Shikihitsuko and herself with absolute loyalty. Although, of course loyalty was hard to find seeing Arrancar and Hollows often lacked that trait and quality in them. What was Jyuria trying to say? Lagos slowly lifted her blade before slicing once in the air and sheathing her blade in her sheath. A temporary truce as Lagos was wondering what Jyuria was going to be offering. If the offer wasn’t acceptable then the battle could continue.

Frankly, Lagos didn’t like Quincy. She despised them. However, she did like beautiful girls and Jyuria was at least that although a bit braindead. Lagos wasn’t stupid but she was rather impulsive and a person who lived for the pleasure of life first before anything else. The foxy woman slowly approached, but with her senses wary of those flying arrows around Jyuria before slowly putting one hand on her chin. “Let’s try being civil, but I hope that you aren’t wasting my time. Or else I will truly make. You. Suffer~” It was a promise as the fox looked down to see the tanktop was torn slightly. Nothing that couldn’t be replaced.

Jyuria had to admit, whatever strange fluke or misstep that had somehow caused Lagos to spot a stealthed arrow coming in from outside of her vision mid-attack was beyond her. however, even if she had somehow managed this, while her reflexes were good, they were not flawless. Both Jyuria and the arrow would both note the shift in her attack, and the arrow merely adjusted it's flight, twisting, spinning from it's original trajectory and slicing across the arrancar's wrist, using it's wings to try and cleave the woman's hand at the wrist before streaking off into the surroundings once again.

That sudden sonido did save Lagos from the other arrows, and indeed, it was...interesting to see the arrancar's reactions to her attacks. The woman remained fairly calm, and she wondered....did the girl think she was some sort of weakling because of how she acted? She didn't show her confusion, she just kept that calm, laid-back smile on her face. This was for the best, she supposed. Better her enemy think her incompetent. that meant that she could surprise them. Lethally so.


But even better? She had Lagos's attention. And in a fairly good way at that too. She waved a hand casually in response to the woman's sudden anger. " It just strikes me as odd that so many arrancar answer to a shinigami. I always hated the idea of being told what to do." She confessed, and then paused, that smile brightening up as she rubbed the back of her head. "Believe it or not, I actually used to be an arrancar! Well... among other things, but it's a very long story." She waved it off, not quite willing to go into all of that.

She paused, and looked pointedly at Lagos. She took a brief little breath, taking time to collect her thoughts before speaking up again. "You have strength. You have potential. You're very passionate at that. You would make a pretty fine quincy if I do say so myself." She pointed out, folding her arms a bit before she chuckled, holding up her hands as she KNEW, the woman would probably be either shocked into silence, or immediately be offended. She recalled her own feelings of disdain.

"But hey. I know, you probably don't like the talking option on something like this right? I could jabber all I wanted to you about the Vandereich but well... all you have to go on is my word. So how about we do this?" she then swished that cape, flaring it around herself as she watched the woman calmly. "Why not talk it over? There IS that option. We don't have to fight. not at all. It's not a painless experience, but I mean, do you really want to spend the rest of your days under that man?" She reasoned, taking just a few seconds to let that sink in.

And of course, her guard never dropped. Because next, she brought up what she expected. What she figured was going to be the way things went down. not out of spite, or depressed motions, or even that she thought Lagos would be this way. It was just that she had been a hollow for a long time. And she knew that when faced with something like this. Most hollows? They fought it out. Raising her hand, she would flex her spiritual pressure, letting it ripple outward from her as those three arrows began spinning rapidly around her body, streaking around her form as a sort of field of sharp arrows, threatening to plow right into anything that attempted to get close to her.


"Worst case scenario, we finish this right~ That's how battle goes right? Whoever loses, their fate is left up to the winner. If I win, I shoot you in the chest with this special arrow. If you accept it, then you become a vandereich~ If not? then your body rejects it and you just die. It's really as simple as that." She noted calmly, keeping to her word of wanting to talk as she abstained from pulling in reishi, letting her cross rest a while as she watched the arrancar. and waited.

[Lagos Oscuras]

Something interesting that had occurred was that flying arrow that was flying around did indeed continue on to Lagos to slice across her wrist as it changed its trajectory. A slicing pain was felt as the arrow tore across Lagos’ wrist causing a rather sizeable gash. However, thanks to her Hierro her skin was of course still as strong as steel or perhaps harder even if Jyuria’s arrow was capable of slicing through, her skin didn’t behave normally like normal wounds. It wouldn’t spread open and cause a wider wound to cause blood to come flying and thus prevented the major arteries from being ripped which would surely lead to her death. As the arrow would slide down to the point where the wings were, Lagos had grunted as she growled at her now bleeding wrist. That was painful for sure, but she's been through far far worse as an Arrancar. This arrow slicing her wrist was certainly painful...but it was dealable with.

Looking out to Jyuria, Lagos frowned after her Sonido was used. “You are rather right. I disgust serving a Shinigami, so I don’t serve him. I serve under my Espada and master Shikihitsuko and everything I do is for him. Although, it seems you understand as you were once an Arrancar. I wouldn’t be able to understand why you would convert to becoming a filthy Quincy however. You abandoned your ressurecion and your hidden powers in exchange for becoming one of…”them.” Hahaha. You shrug it off as if it’s so casual. How carefree you are.” Lagos could see some relation with how Jyuria acted in herself. However, the next thing she said made Lagos put her non bloody sword hand on her chin.

“You’re trying to flatter me, but for what use would I become a Quincy? You have problems serving under a Shinigami but serve a god that has no care for you other than being a tool? The last group of Sternritters if I recall were exterminated and removed. What makes you think it won’t happen again hmm?” She was knowledgable thanks to her skills in learning, although that didn’t matter so much really. She looked to Jyuria before slowly starting to walk forward. Her blue eyes did seem awfully curious on some part of what Jyuria said though. “Tell me more on what qualities I have that would make me a good Quincy and why I should even consider joining your little religious cult?” There was silence for a moment as Lagos still had her sword sheathed as she walked ever closer, now being six feet away.

“Simply leaving Kouhai and serving under another man isn’t enough for me to consider joining your organization. Give me more reason. I’m not the most unreasonable woman.” She took one more step. Stopping five feet away from Jyuria, Lagos squeezed her hand as to help lessen the blood loss she was feeling. As she looked at those spinning arrows, Lagos looked relaxed. “I’m surprised that you are still smiling after my Bala had burned you. I was expecting it to hurt more than that.” Lagos had a very neutral expression on her face as she was keeping note on her enemy. Her cloak was capable of firing arrows as was the small wrist launcher on her arm. She also kept in mind the cross she wore.

Jyuria on the other hand knew little to nothing of Lagos skill set, and that was her advantage. She was constantly keeping track of the flow of battle, and at this moment the fox mask slowly opened it’s mouth before looking out to Jyuria. Experimentally, she wanted to test something. Slowly gathering the blood in her hand, she would flick it at full speed of 400, out towards Jyuria’s face. She heard that Arrancar contact with Quincy was harmful and so perhaps her blood alone would be painful. On top of that, her own blood was essentially being used as bullets right now, as a whiz sound was evident as several droplets flew rapidly, aiming to rip into that cute little Quincy. Deception. Betrayal...

It would be hard for Jyuria to dodge every little droplet, and if any were to get on her skin it would burn horribly. Considering it was a liquid, it would be hard to remove it all considering blood soaks and she would have to use another liquid to get it off cleanly. Using that moment of distraction, Lagos would use the Sonido to appear in front of Jyuria and stab her palm straight through Jyuria's chest. She was of superior strength and with Hierro, it was certainly possible. "Shine." The arrows of course wouldn't be able to react fast enough as her Sonido speed was far superior to what they had to offer. If she was successful, her arm would rip through Jyuria's chest cavity stopping short of the rip cage and it would burn her insides to bits as her hand would fickly tickle her insides. A beautiful sight as blood dripped down.

"Hmm...Hahahahha. HAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAAHAHAHAH!" That was her madness speaking to her again. Jyuria was a Quincy. She was an arrancar. It was simply how things had to go. Besides, Jyuria attacked her first after all and asked for a peaceful diplomacy option? As if that was going to ever work out. Of course...if those arrows were to react and chase after her, that was fine. There was only so much they could do surely. Lagos was of superior speed and even though they had great potential to be annoyances, that's all they would be. Annoyances. "You know, I have been saving something special for someone just like you. I've never used it before. I hope you'll enjoy it."

Jyuria lifted her brows in response to Lagos' speech. And she continued to smiled calmly. And she was not surprised in the slightest. So many memories of being a hollow. Remembering how cutthroat every single one of the had been. How many times had she woken up at night, only to hollows trying to kill or eat her. But trying to do a great number of other unpleasant things. And she had killed them. Every last one. Even though it was a foolish thing to try and get allies, in the end she could only truly rely on the hollows she had crafted by her own hands.

"You have an interesting way of thinking. But, I suppose, there really is no point in just telling you any of this. It would be so much easier to show you, right?" She reasoned, waiting for her to finish speaking, and noticing when those shoulder muscles tensed. And suddenly that hand was flinging upward at Lagos's full 350 speed. But even if it had been faster Jyuria still would not have panicked. She had a ridiculous reflex. She had tangled with the likes of bala and cero and all sorts of attacks from arrancar.

Before that hand was even halfway up, three things had happened. An arrow flew out from behind her in the same moment that those arrows spinning around her would surge in while her hand was moving up, slicing at more than double the speed that Lagos had been using to try to whip her hand up, so that even before her attack completed, two arrows would slice at either side of her hand while she attacked, aiming to cut the hand clean off of her body before splitting off from the attack, that third arrow streaking straight for Lagos's chest. However it likely wouldn't get there in time.

At that time, Jyuria vanished, sealed into the arrow that was shooting off into the distance, it's form blackened, stealthed just like the other arrow, except that it wasn't double normal arrow speed like the other one. But that still didn't change the fact that, with being formed behind Jyuria, Lagos would not have a lock on it, especially when those three arrows aimed to blow through the center of her chest, as well as sever her hand. She would be distracted (Or grievously injured), and thus that black arrow would slip off into the distance.

The sonido probably wouldn't happen, especially since if Lagos attempted to step, she had to do so in a straight line, and would plow right into that arrow going for the lower chest, and that arrow would definitely not be around where Lagos's hollow hole was this time. In fact Lagos was, in Jyuria's opinion, far more likely to break off and sonido in a separate direction. But of course, that didn't mean she'd be able to escape. Jyuria's arrows were like recon units, that and she had considerable skill in finding people trying to hide from her. When that black arrow Jyuria had sealed herself in circled around, Jyuria popped into existence a wayas away from where lagos would be. And she drank in reishi from around her body, knowing that this would be her absolute last chance to do so. Honestly, it didn't matter if Lagos refused.

In the end. She would still be getting that arrow in her chest. If Lagos would rather die than join the vandereich? That was fine with Jyuria. Just before she started her next plan. She used just a tiny bit of reiatsu, and stored it inside of that stealthed arrow.

And even though she did not make a sound, the word still came to her mind.

Reishi would tremble around her as her Vollstanding was activated. Six Razor-like wings forming at her back, five bright halos forming around her body, forming not above her head, but around her neck, ankles, and wrists like shackles. Jyuria's mind flexed and she felt a considerable rush throughout her entire body as she indulged in her holy form. Her senses became sharper, stronger, more intense. Her body became faster, but most importantly, she grew much more powerful. That well of energy within her was tremendous. An awesome power.

IF anything, this was why Lagos should have joined her. But that didn't matter now. No less than twenty arrows flapped into existence, crawling out of her cloak as the trees and surroundings around her dissolved and were used as fodder for her energy. Those arrows FLOODED the air around her, ten of them sticking around, staying clinging to her body along with the normal-speed stealth arrow hanging out on her shoulder, the other ten flew out to join the three arrows engaged with Lagos, all of them staying spread out around her, flying in a vicious flock.

If she attempted to sonido in any particular direction, it would be VERY likely that she would slam into several of them, or at least some part of her body would be nicked by them. And streaking straight through that flock would be the stealthed shortbow arrow. And with SO may arrows all around Lagos, it would be even more impossible for the Arrancar to see it coming, it would aim to beeline in and plow straight into the woman's lower back, and once, it managed to plow it's way inside of the woman, and bury itself into her flesh, dig it's wings in to REALLY anchor itself, making it impossible to get out.

At that time, that stored reiatsu from before would suddenly be put into use. 50 reiatsu to detonate a class 3 arrow. With that new power of hers, the arrow buried inside of lagos would explode, the flock of arrows refusing to fly away, staying in that tight cage around LAgos, intent on shredding the woman's flesh, since there was still some chance that the arrow somehow even with it's tremendous speed, would not get the chance to explode. Or if somehow it just didn't work. After all, it was a timed explosion. She couldn't really control when the explosion happened. When she detonated an arrow, it just exploded, at most she had managed to have it detonate on a timer instead of immediately, since in Vollstanding, she needed to shred techniques to detonate an arrow. Reasonably, there was no way that Lagos should be able to see the arrow among that swarm, not to mention keep it from burying into her lower back. However, it was on a timer. and there would be a few seconds when it was logded inside of her body that Lagos would have the chance to try and get it out of herself.

It would mean not paying attention to the arrows surrounding her, and no doubt cause her to take a high number of slashes all over her body as THESE arrows were MUCH higher above her hierro's strength, and not a lot of techniques would do anything to keep them from carving her up. But Jyuria simply watched and waited to see how Lagos would react to this new threat. Because, after all, Jyuria was going to kill her. NORMALLY, she would have stayed in her base form. As that was the only way to be able to fire a changing arrow. She had to spend reiatsu to do that.

But Lagos had made it clear that that wasn't going to happen. This form had it's weaknesses after all. She wasn't able to use techniques other than her arrows in this form. Not without absorbing attacks. And Lagos didn't HAVE any attacks she could absorb. It would kill her from hollow poisoning. So she had decided...Lagos would just have to die. She'd had her chance to join Jyuria. She'd had her chance to finally be a part of something great! It was only just then she thought of it...but the idea that came into Jyuria's head suddenly made her laugh.

Heh....perhaps she should have told Lagos how many pretty women were in the Vandereich. Oh Jyuria you so silly.

Lagos approached, and although Jyuria smiled calmly and was listening intently the entire time although obviously prepared for battle in case Lagos was to try anything. “I suppose you’re right. There is no point in us talking anymore.” As Lagos raised her bloody right hand, she saw immediately the arrows rushed forward and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to realize she was in danger. It seemed that Jyuria had a misconception of how Sonido worked. Jyuria assumed that Lagos would be incapable of using Sonido to avoid these arrows because she would only be able to use it within a straight line. However, she could Sonido backwards, or even into the air considering she had mastered the technique to gain the finesse to do so.

As the arrows came, two aimed to attack both her arms, and one headed for her lower chest, Lagos was barely able to use the Sonido to blur at an insane speed above them. She moved at the speed of 4550, so fast that these arrows would have no chance to even react to her insane speed. In that moment as she traveled into the air, around eight feet, Lagos had charged reiatsu in her bleeding hand, aiming it to the ground. “Cero!” Shooting off a sickly yellow blast, a great many times larger than her Bala, it would surely slam into all three of those arrows and destroy them considering the difference between her power and theirs were not so vast. Considering the size of her Bala was the size of a car, her Cero...well, it was the size of a whole entire house.

Upon colliding with the arrows, the intense ray of heat would explode in a fiery blaze of yellow that was so large and powerful that it would cause an explosion of dust and smoke although that smoke would immediately be blown away as Jyuria had used the power of Volstandig. The release was powerful as she would begin to go through a metamorphosis, sacrificing her own Reiatsu in order to enter the release. Lagos had to act quickly and end this battle in a decisive strike seeing she knew exactly how dangerous a Volstandig could be from her Quincy hunting behaviors. Using the Advanced Airground, she would create a platform to use Sonido and shoot like a missile to seemingly vanish from Jyuria’s line of sight.

Jyuria’s instincts allowed her to mentally think of actions as needed, that was true. However, her senses and speed would not help track Lagos at the speed of 4550. She would never allow those arrows to swarm outward and chase after her as she would engage Jyuria instead. If the arrows were to streak forward directly, yes Lagos would receive small nicks and slashes on her fragile frame. When she continued past those, she had never been hit by the stealthy arrow as a result. Appearing in front of Jyuria, she had threw her whole body forward, getting impaled by ten of those hidden arrows, but still she had in order to envelop Jyuria into a tight hug. If she was successful, then Lagos would truly be victorius.

Nothing would seem to happen at first, nothing at all as Lagos took a deep breath with blood dripping from all her wounds. However, the foxy Arrancar would look into the eyes of the Quincy with her grievous wounds with a smile. “I’ve been saving this for someone just like...yourself.” She looked incredibly tired despite the battle hardly having begun and then Jyuria would begin to feel exactly why. An intense pain that was absolutely unbearable would spread through Jyuria. It would feel like no greater pain than ever before, especially for a Quincy. In this moment, Jyuria would suddenly experience a searing as a chain would rip out of her chest with several gnawing teeth to devour her soul. This was her chain of fate. She was going through a form of Hollowfication, and it was the most painful experience particularly for Quincy.

Lagos inserted Hollow Reirokyu into Jyuria’s body and it would feel as her whole entire being was melting and tearing apart into nothingness. Jyuria’s Soul Chain at this moment would spring forward in an attempt to bit into her throat and wrap around her as the rest of the gnawing mouths would feed on her body. There were only two ways to survive. One was to pay 5000 Reiatsu in Jyuria’s case. The other was to destroy the soul chain and leave Jyuria as a normal average human being not even able to see Lagos. Assuming she didn’t break her chain, it would devour her and swallow her leaving nothing but a neat pile of clothes. Killing Lagos would not save Jyuria at this point. What was the cost of this? Her release. Lagos had given up her ability to release for a 8 hour period of significant rest and 2000 reiatsu instantaneously to do this. Jyuria's Chain would have the durability of her current RS...and seeing Jyuria couldn't make more arrows thanks to this technique, she would have to use one of her pre existing arrows to destroy her own chain. The battle was at it's climax.

After a short time period, Lagos would slowly stand, ripping the arrows from her flesh as the wounds would seal shut. One would know that using ressurecion allows one to heal their wounds and she would grunt as the last vestiges of her Ressurecion would vanish. She would stand no longer in mortal wound zone...but still very heavily damaged. "You fought well Quincy. Although...I suppose I can't call you that anymore. You can't even hear me anymore...but I'm going to let you live and live to fight another day. Simply because you are such a beautiful woman." Lagos believing she should be invisible to the fallen Quincy, would grab her and bring her closer, smelling her hair. Lagos shivered in ecstacy before shoving Jyuria away who very well might be on the vestiges of death. Lagos had a camp of Quincy to kill.

Lagos would continue on, tired of course but surely more than capable of killing all that got in her way with the reiatsu she had left. After her mission was complete, she would open a Garganta to report back to Las Noches to inform Shikihitsuko and her superiors that she was successful and her mission was complete. It was a tough battle that Jyuria was, but not good enough. She was not aware that Jyuria would have a way to restore her powers from other Quincy, but that of course was a possibility. Entering her own private resting quarters, she would rest easy and fantasize about beautiful women before indulging in her thoughts. 30 minutes later, she would slumber...resting her body and mind.

Jyuria lifted a brow, though even though her arrow didn't his Lagos, it still followed her. And when Lagos rushed in, Jyuria's eyes noticed the movement. She didn't have super sight, this was correct. but she was still able to react. When the woman's arms opened up her wings moved rapidly, far outspeeding Lagos now that she was no longer in sonido. Her wings wrapped protectively around her own body, and Lagos would hug only condensed reishi as Jyuria shredded the ground directly beneath her feet, hollowing out the ground beneath her soles for reishi.

When Lagos was impaled by those arrows they burrowed into her flesh and began shredding her muscles, digging around and using their wings to cut her up from the inside. And Jyuria had to admit, under normal circumstances, that sudden surge of hollow reiatsu would have been terrifying to fight. But she ignored it. She resisted by sheer force of her reiatsu. She flexed her spiritual energy and blew Lagos away from her body with the sheer force of her reiatsu strength, far outmatching the woman's physical strength.

With a fling of her wings, she opened them up, spraying blood everywhere outward, but keeping her body itself clean as she glared at the hollow for just a moment, putting on a big ol smile just as she raised her palm, her cloak (which served as her bow) glimmering as twenty new arrows fired from it's feathered shroud. The arrows inside of LAgos's body would jam their wings into the surrounding muscle, severing them completely before crawling deeper into her arms, legs, and main body. In this manner, Jyuria intended to eliminate any hope of Lagos using her sonido, let alone moving again.

The new swarm of arrows would aim to plow into the arrancar, and like a scene from The Birds, would shred the woman down, swarming and ripping away at her until there was nothing left but the bones of her body, Jyuria's patience, despite her smile, having run out. Her survival instincts kicking in HARD as she realized just how close to death she had been. If she hadn't been in vollstanding then she would have died right then and there.

Lagos was too dangerous to be allowed to live.

And so long as she did indeed manage to obliterate the Arrancar, she would put on a slow, angry face, and she would marinate in the hatred that stilled through her entire body, realizing the potential she had washed away. She hated killing. She hated having to do it. Even against someone like Lagos who needed to die, lest the fear of being killed turn Jyuria into something else. Into what she'd been as a hollow. Something that she never wanted to happen again. Even though she had won, she didn't feel any thrill or enjoyment.

She turned her back on the corpse and simply began to walk away, a heavy sensation in her chest as she allowed the shadows to suck her body into the void of the Silbern, vanishing from Soul Society and from the scene itself, her arrows dissolving into nothing as she would go and make her report. Nothing would be said about the nature f the enemy she fought. If all went well, she would just forget this ever happened. She would never have to think about what she'd done... ever again.

[Lagos Oscuras]

Lagos as she exited Sonido had lurched forward, despite being impaled by various arrows in the first place. However, as a result was capable of wrapping her enemy Jyuria in a bear hug despite the wings the used to wrap around herself for safety. The arrows squirmed and wiggled inside her body, and Lagos as a result growled in pain. She used False Rapture...and nothing happened. “What?! False Rapture didn’t work?! Why?! Why?!” Lagos was drained...but upon learning that her ultimate Primera Etapa attack had failed, Lagos opened her mouth with a Cero Forming at point blank range. If False Rapture didn’t kill her, then perhaps this Cero would!

She was flung off into the air as her Cero fired, missing Jyuria’s body as it would explode into the sky, causing a large blast before the Arrancar fell onto her back. “Damn you! Damn you to hell Quincy! Raagh!” The pain was now getting worse as they were beginning to burrow deeper, and Lagos had individually grasped several, attempting to shatter their shafts with her hands to no avail. They were simply too strong for her to do so. There was no reply as the Quincy in front of her created another horde of arrows. “If you’re going to kill me, then get on with it!” Lagos was impatient for everything, even her own death. If she died, it was just destined to be.

Those arrows charged forward and Lagos did not look in fear. She yelled in anger, frustration, hatred at the world before it turned into a grasp of pain. However...these were arrows and not birds. The most they would be able to do is pierce her, then wiggle around left and right. That they did as they tore into her flesh, and she yelled in pain almost as a Hollow cries out in agony. She was alive and still conscious at that as Jyuria turned her back on her. “I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS QUINCY!” She gagged and her head fell backwards as the arrows continued to rip her open. Twitching her fingers, she would whistle as then there was a ripple in space time as a garganta would open to show several masked individuals from it. "Los Ojos. Deal with the encampment of Quincy up ahead...and take me to a doctor immediately." There was silence as one of the Arrancar looked at this opportunity to kill the thorn in their side. Lagos' eye twitched as that specific Arrancar's mask shattered open just because she looked at him funny. "Do as I order you!" Immediately after that, two Arrancar rushed to her aid, dragging her through the portal as the rest would begin to scout out ahead to the Quincy encampment for a skirmish.

Lagos required time to recuperate from her extensive wounds, and frankly this battle would need her healing for a while in the healing tanks. Shikihitsuko-Sama would be most displeased to hear of her loss most likely. However, Lagos learned something from this battle as well. She needed to work harder on becoming stronger as her False Rapture had failed her. She needed to continue training and experimentation with that particular technique to make sure it would not fail her again. One of the ways she grew her numbers was through this technique and she did not use it lightly. Damn...she could feel herself pained and unable to move. This feeling of weakness was what she hated the most. She would get revenge one day...one day.

Begrudgingly, she swallowed defeat as she allowed herself to be taken to the medics to begins the healing process. They knew from last time not to say any witty comments about her loss or her visiting again seeing that would result in someone's head being popped off. Lagos was not in the mood for jokes or playfulness. Right now she was filled with anger towards that Quincy. She would just have to continue training to get used to her Arrancar abilities. Taking a deep breath, she prepared for the pain as her body should regenerate.
