Humans. More and more humans keep on coming into her land. They keep on venturing to the place she has made into a home. The hive is gone, but she is not. She remains, but the hive is gone. The voices that once filled the voids of her mind were gone. No one that she once knew did not remain beside her. The hive was gone, but she remained. Or was it the other way around. Could it have been that she was gone and the hive remained? Brought to a strange new world in which she did not recognize made her anxious and confused. So she did what she thought was natural for her. Or what was natural.
A lone Hornet on her own didn't seem plausible until now. Not even for her. But she couldn't simply roll over and die. Although that is what she remembered. The heat. The hot adhesive that clung to her, keeping her from moving around. That is what she can remember at least. The heat of the battles that were raged on and the last few moments before burned red hot. It's all that she could remember. All of that led her down to the these woods which she had no recognition of. Damn was that some crazy stuff. She believed that she was having some Honey withdraw or something.
Not too long after her awakening did Lisa venture around the woods. Peaceful and full of flowers. Strange but comforting. There was still so much that she didn't know. One of them was that of her new body. Like what the hell were the lumps on her chest? She kept on poking them to see if anything happened. Turns out that something does happen, but that'll be explained at some later point in time. Aside from that she found herself to be quite larger than before. Was quite exciting too.
Though being in a new world did frighten her to some extent some things didn't change. That meaning came to the art of war. Strange humans came and ventured into her newly formed territory. Humans in strange black garbs that intrude onto her land. They came as few. Lisa dispatched them easily as they flail about in awe at what she was. Like ants they were picked off one by one without much of a challenge. This was her new home, and from what these humans displayed they were not too difficult to deal with. Though their tactics and movements mimicked those of warriors. Soldiers from another form Hive.
Lisa recognized some behavioral patterns among their ranks. Regardless of what form they took on they were definitely that of military training. She knew because she was the same. She received similar training within the Hive. Through memories and other sources Lisa got her stuff from what seemed like to be picture books. Funny really. A few months after that did she actually enter her first fight, and oh boy did it rock. Heads flew off and all that buzzing going on gave her new sort of migraine that she didn't knew was possible. Almost made her throw up. Still was thrilling nonetheless.
Haaaah, the good times. *Crunch* A sound of a twig gave way to the weight of a foot step. She heard it clearly with her trained senses, bringing the insectoid round and about. Slowly she crept along the branches of her new nest. "Huu-mans." she muttered softly. That was another thing she still getting a grasp of. The ways of her new tongue gave her a new means of communicating. Completely rusty on the subject matter, but it did not matter. The only language that someone like her needed was that of battle. Because talking to hu-mans like them didn't resolve anything. Besides, she has been aching for a fight.
She waited. She waited for them to pass her position before she struck. Seven hu-mans this time around. She crawled very... very ... slowly over them. Her claws tingled with excitement. Her stems flexed with anticipation. Their hides riddled her 20/20 vision perfectly. *Snap* That was the sound that was made when she lunged from her position before taking one of them. Inhuman was her shriek when she came down to pluck their little flowers one at a time. Those silk wings spread open and claws widened. And just as quickly as they sprang open did they shut close around the man's nimble body, taking him up into the air and puncturing him in six different locations.
Two through the ribs, two through the shoulder blades, and another pair went right through hip and pelvis. An instant kill in two sections of the body. Lisa found out from the previous encounters that hu-mans like them were not to be taken lightly. They were a threat to her and her new home. They were classified as intruders. And those who trespassed into her home will pay a hefty fee. One was taken up into the midst of the branches as the hu-mans friends wailed. Her wings beat wildly against the air and sent her flying back up high. One down and six to go.
