Thread Title: Shizuyoko vs Yetsuna | R | NDE Participants: Yetsuna Yishnir, Shizuyoko Toraumi World: Soul Society Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: The Battle takes place in an abandoned warehouse in District 24 of the Rukongai. The Warekouse has a special staircase which leads down into a special little arena. The area itself is surrounded by stands for onlookers, whilst the center area itself is rather huge. A solid 100 yards in length, it was very much akin to a football field, only with dense forest instead of an open grassy field. Among the trees, a number of large stone pillars raise out of the trees, providing a look of the surrounding area. The place is clearly a spot for some sort of special match. Special Conditions: Slight Stat Equalization. +300 SP to Shizuyoko to even out the combatants. Circumstances: Gambling and Sport are hardly something the Sereitei is without. Out in the rukongai in the more.....rich districts, is a place where Shinigami come to fight, bet, and watch. Over time, the newest members of squads often find themselves here, proving themselves in a place of equal standing. With Food, Drink, and plenty of sport, two young girls find themselves partaking in one such match. The fight is over when one of them is unable to continue, or if one of them forfeits.

Ridiculous. She thought it had been something of a joke when she'd been asked to attend this little...shindig. Some sort of sporting fight... She knew a number of students from her academy class that had already taken part in the fights. It was a means of gauging the new and upcoming members of these squads. 11 being the primary benefactor as almost all of their new members found themselves trying to prove they belonged in the squad. And here she was, in this rather...unusual arena.
The place was rather huge she had to admit, and looking around, she could see nothing but trees as she walked out onto one of two platforms that were at either end of the massive place. Looking off in the distance, she could only barely make out her opponent on their platform. Another girl, probably here for prize money or something like that. She couldn't believe she was here. Glancing off to the side, she caught sight of her superior, Enki, cheering her on, with a mug of beer in hand as she was already taking bets. It was....actually a little embarassing. And confusing.
Then again she supposed being special forces did not deprive an individual of their basic human vices. This was an assignment, so she would treat it like one: And win. Taking a deep, soothing breath, she turned her attention back to her opponent, watching as the timer started up. They had fifteen seconds to get themselves ready. Shizuyoko already was a bit....curious. The arena seemed a bit rigged. And certainly she imagined the crowd would be more pleased with direct fighting as opposed to her knifing the other shinigami from behind.
So the objective...was to put on a good show. A soft little sigh escaped her as she shook her head, folding her arms across her chest as she looked up at that timer. Seven Seconds. No time to back out now. Looking ahead she focused on her target, watching them, trying to get a read on them before finally, that buzzer blared and she sped forward, ignoring any attempts at trying to be sneaky as she simply bounded into the forest and started heading straight for them.
It occured to her that the woman probably had some means of special tricks or whatnot on her sleeve. But she supposed there was nothing to do about that. She would approach them as she would a hollow: She'd pretend to rush in with no guard and make them try and capitalize on the opening. Giving her ample opportunity to use some means of a counter to bring things back into her favor. Once she was at around the halfway point, she stopped as she noticed one of the nearby spires. Better than nothing.
Leaping up and onto the large platform, she hopped onto the flattened top and began looking around, keeping an eye out as she waited for the other girl to close in and make the first move. Sure it was a dumb mission but......she had to admit. It was kindof exciting. Knowing there was a crowd out there, cheering them both on. She couldn't help but smile a little at that. She'd have to remember to get Enki-sama back for this. Maybe she'd put wasabi in her tea or something.

Yetsuna stood in a corner of the ring as she examined the room, it was a lot bigger than she ever would have guessed, and it seemed to be standing room only on top of that. She couldn't help but wonder if the arena was always this packed or if tonight was some short of special occasion. The green haired shinigami had been brought her by a few of the seated officers in her squad, she was told it was a proving grounds kind of thing, but she didn't really care about that, she had been itching for a decent fight and all the hollows she had been dealing with lately had been fairly weak, plus from what she had been told the winner of the fight won some money which was never a bad thing.
She let out a yawn and stretched her arms upwards, she had been waiting for 15 minutes and was beginning to become bored. She looked around the area again and saw that several of the occupants faces had changed to looks of hunger. It was slightly discomforting, she was used to getting looks from people, but rarely ever that blatant, then she realized why they were looking at her like they were. When she stretched she had accidentally pulled her uniform down a bit causing her to reveal a sizable amount of cleavage. She casually readjusted her uniform to cover herself fully again.
Yetsuna blew a puff of hair up at her bangs out of boredom when she heard the crowd begin to cheer behind her. She turned around and saw her opponent enter the ring. The green haired shinigami rarely ever found herself truly checking out another girl, but the blonde in front of her was definitely eye catching. She had a ample bust, notice even under her uniform, and nice wide hips to compliment her chest while her hair was a interesting mix of messy and well kept. Yetsuna tried not to be painfully obvious about checking the girl out, but if the blonde took a moment to actually look at her it would be fairly obvious she was.
She smiled to herself, "I may have more fun with the fight than I originally thought." The girl folded her arms under her chest, making her bosom unknowingly perk up a bit more, much to her liking. Yetsuna broke her attention from the cutie and watched the counted down and as it got to single digits she interlaced her fingers and cracked her knuckles before rotating her shoulders a few times and taking a martial arts pose, her side to the enemy. Yetsuna figured she would give her opponent the first attack, she found it allows her to get a feel for how they fight.
The Blonde charged at her but half way through she leaped onto one of the nearby spires. Yetsuna decided to follow suit and jumped onto one opposite of her. "Any chance I could get your name before we start throwing punches?" she called out warmly. The green haired shinigami's guard was obviously still up, but the question was sincere and it showed in her voice, she really was just asking of the girls name.

Shizu raised a brow, her head canting to the side in response to the busty shinigami across from her, her head tilting for a moment before a slight pink crossed her features. That aura of warmth around her immediately extending, running her fingers through her hair as she almost instantly noticed the....pattern of Yetsuna's actions. The girl was sweet on her? Already?
She knew she was pretty, Susanoo had told her that often enough, but it had been...what....less than a minute and the girl seemed to be fairly taken with her. Well that certainly made things a bit awkard. Noticing the woman's slight shhift away from aggression, asking for her name, Shizu shook her head in mirth and cleared her throat. "Shizuyoko. But well....by the time this is over...." She trailed off, gently brushing some hair past her ear.
There was a sudden blast of speed as Shizu simply vanished, her body completely leaving Yetsu's field of vision as she was suddenly behind them, moving even faster than a normal shunpo as she was immediately placed behind the woman, her knuckles slamming solidly into the woman's spine in a single attack as she unleashed the technique she had completely mastered not that long ago. Has she been using her sword, she would have stabbed right through the two vital areas of the other woman, likely ending the fight if they had failed to avoid it. But that was rather....hard.
Shizu, once she had vanished, had gone almost completely silent. That Specialization into stealth combat that had been part of why she had been brought into the omnitsukido shone through as being directly behind Yetsu, it would be night impossible for the woman to pick up, putting enough force into her strikes to aim and knock them down to the ground. Naturally she doubted it was an end to the fight, though those areas would sting considerably. Even so, that warm smile spread back across her face. Based on the way that the other woman had, most likely, taken the punches, she could already tell she was stronger than them. At least Physically. It interested her, and she was a bit excited to see what the girl's specialty was.
It wasn't that she was mean, spiteful, or taunting. There was something so very genuine about the way that Shizu was smiling, and that bursting aura around her made it incredibly infectious. "But well....by the time this fight is over. I think you can just call me 'Sir." She added, in her best attempt at shittalking. Which wound up....just coming off as some light flirting. She admitedly didn't want to hurt the woman, who apparently liked her. But....she still had her mission.
Turning to face the woman, she smiled and took a step back, waiting patiently for some sort of response, her own senses keened and ready to go as she locked her eyes onto the woman, already in her mind she was breaking the woman down. " I wonder.....are you going to try and reverse? That seems like the logical thing to do...isn't it? Use your own shunpo to try and catch me off guard. But I really should say...that may not be the best of ideas. I guess I can be a little intimidating." Came that soft chuckle, curious to see what the girl would do next.
Already the crowds were starting to get into a roar. A Flash Blossom was a rare technique for shinigami to learn, and given how early Shizu had managed to master it only added to her appeal. Already some people were doubling down on their bets, others were joining in on the betting pool. Of course Shizu ignored all of that. For now, all she needed to worry about was this adorable little greenette in front of her.

The blonde ran her fingers through her hair, she couldn't exactly tell why the girl had done it, nervousness? shyness? Either way it was a cute motion. Yetsuna couldn't be positive, but she would have sworn the girl seemed to be returning the looking Yetsuna was giving her. Maybe with a bit of luck, and no hard feelings, the nights entertainment might extend past the fight.
Shizuyoko gave her name in what seemed to be a somewhat nervous fashion. She heard the girls voice trail off, like she was thinking of what to say next, but instead she disappeared. Next thing Yetsuna knew she felt the girls knuckles driving into her back. It caused no small amount of pain, but if there was one thing Yetsuna had learned to do it was roll with the punches. Yetsuna gave no obvious indication of pain, but rather paused and listened to the rest of the girls sentence.
She smiled even though the Shiz couldn't see it "If you want me to call you sir you're going to have to take me back to your place," she replied warmly (and only half joking) before suddenly spinning around the the right at full speed her arm was bent slightly as it came around at face level. However just before contact she would drop her arm to catch the girl in the side of the chest under the arm. That tended to be a weak spot for some people; to some it caused extra pain, others it didn't but either way the blow would smart.
The crowd was roaring loudly even though the fight had barely even begun, if they were tthis loud now how loud would they be as the fight began to hit its stride. Yetsuna would take a leap back after her fist made contact with the girls ribs to but some distance between them, she'd have to watch her carefully, she had a good sting to her blows, but she had a feeling the girl was better at moving than at fighting.
If the girl managed to dodged her swing even at this distance she would shunpo, reappearing to the blondes 7 o'clock. reappearing she would be mid-kick her shin and foot poised to make contact with the girl lower back. It was meant more as a shock attack than a painful one. She was hoping to knock the wind out of the girl with a little luck, but chances of that were small so it would likely just end up hurting like hell.

Shizu raised a brow slightly at the.....witty response to her remark. And for the briefest of moments she actually wondered how serious they were. Well....she knew that already. Those old eyes of hers bored into Yetsuna as they let out that playful retort, the silent motion of tails subtly hidden. She had noticed that the girl was unable to tell when she was sneaking up on them. If she dropped down into the jungle, she would essentially win the fight.
But what was that? A Victory of attrition. Relying on the woman's willingness to even follow her. She ran the simulation through in her head in the split seconds she was given and frankly she was fairly sure the woman would just wait it out or go charging in and allow Shizu to pick her off at leisure. HArdly a very exciting end to this fight. Strange as it was she actually caught herself giving a damn about giving a good show. And why shouldn't she?
She was going to be a part of the black ops. Most of the time her actions and accomplishments would be lost to the shadows. Nobody would know the things she'd done, the threats she'd stopped. At least not for the most part. So what harm did it do to take a little....enjoyment in some attention while she was still early on in her career? Well she supposed Enki was probably eating it up by now, her eyes narrowing at the very thought of the woman making money off of her. Or who knew, maybe losing money off her.
However her thoughts were jarred from her when that spinnin-elbow swished after her, connecting with that elbow, as she actually didn't make any move to protect her face, as such the elbow simply slammed into the outside of her bicep instead of hooking under a reaised defensive arm, Immediately she felt pain prickle into her arm and she backed off, skidding back as Yetsu also chose to back off for a moment. The two fighters taking a moment to size one another up for the time being.
Shizu stared calmly at her arm, noting the sting. Not quite as much as a hollow. Goodness ,if she didn't start avoiding hollow attacks her nerves were going to be dead. In any case she recovered rather quickly from the minimal damage, taking a moment to rub at her arm. It hadn't.....really hurt all that much. Not only did it seem that Shizu was faster than them, but stronger. Her ability to take physical hits a bit higher. She put thie into consideration as it opened up the option of a slug-fest.
If she traded blow for blow, she would end up inflicting much more damage to the girl than she would receive. Though that would be a rather.....unpleasant means of winning. She took a moment to look the woman up and down, already regretting her decision to take this fight into an open area. She probably wouldn't be able to lure the girl into the forest at this point. Not without some serious effort at least. Her eyes drifted down to the pedestal they stood on, eyeing the rock. Definitely too thick to cut through. Her attention then shifted up to Yetsu again as her palm settled onto the hilt of her primary zanpaku'to. The Obito.
Drawing it from it's sheath, that weapon was a very long and fearsome thing. Over 1.5 meters in length, it would easily far outreach an attempt for Yetsuna to move in. She was however.....conflicted. She was not very keen on actually physically damaging the woman. Plenty of participants had been cut up, outright wrecked. But some of the better healers in squad four supported the fights. Whatever the girls did to eachother, they would be able to fix.
But..... even so she didn't like the idea of doing so. Her eyes narrowed slightly and she took a step forward, resting the blade on her shoulder, hoping that the length of the blade would intimidate the woman into perhaps surrendering. "I see..... so you're one of those..... You must have been training pretty hard. To make yourself this tough. But what about your tecnique? Your finesse? Have you only been focusing on getting more powerful?" She asked calmly, turning the lense on the other woman as she began stepping ominously toward them. If she could get them to surrender, that would definitely save her the trouble of hurting them.
"Unless you think you're being slick by hiding them. Maybe I should start going harder on you. Surely you must have techniques worth seeing. Otherwise this isn't even going to be a fight." She murmured softly, lightly tapping her blade on her shoulder, even with the empty sheaths at her waist she made no noise as she approached, so much so that, eerilie, it would make it very clear that if Yetsuna looked away, they might not be able to find them again.
It was all she needed after all....just one opening, just one edge to end it. But she was a bit more....interested now. This was becoming a bit more than just about winning. The woman infront of her was like so many of her classmates. Focused on one thing. Well...ok two things. Given their....arduous demeanor that she could still sense coming off from them. But even so she was curious. If she could teach this young woman some lesson then that would be worth a bit more than winning.
With each and every step Shizu seemed to age. Not physically of course, but the way she held herself just became....different. There was no nervousness. No Hesitation. those eyes looked so very old and experienced, as if they had seen things that Yetsu could barely think of. There was a poise and intentional grace about her that would radiate from her like an aura of superiority, a feeling deep down in her opponent would tell them that perhaps this was not a woman to be trifled with.
About three feet away from Yetsu, and WELL within the range of her weapon, she stopped, watching them cautiously. Testing them, curious to see if they thought they could put in an attack before Shizu could counter it. Were they willing to try? Not only that but that weapon was WELL beyond the range of use. While Shizu could back off and get away with only a nick, that blade made it FAR more likely that her weapon would bite clean into the other woman's body.

Yetsuna's blow didn't land like she had hoped it would, rather than catching the girl under the arm and feeling bone she felt her elbow come in contact with muscle. She didn't have long to look at where she had struck, but she did catch a quick glimpses and saw that she had hit her arm. The girl had fallen oddly silent at this point, Yetsuna didn't feel any ill-will, but it almost felt like the blonde was undergoing some kind of personality shift or something. Yetsuna felt a throbbing pain in her back, but it was already beginning to fade away. She watched her enemy curious what she was going to do next. The green haired girl knew she had the disadvantage in speed meaning she might have to go on the offensive.
Yetsuna watched the girl, the cutie seemed as determined to win as she was, though that was hardly surprising, no one wants to lose in front of a large crowd. Her determination to win ran deeper than avoiding embarrassment however, she couldn't tell what was driving her so heavily, money was a good incentive, but that wasn't it either. Maybe it was just some primal urge to prove herself to a potential romantic partner, regardless she funneled that will into her current battle. She saw the telltale signs of the girl going for her weapon and mirrored her almost perfectly, though rather than drawing from the hip she drew from her back. The girls blade was a bit bigger than her own, Yetsuna's blade only measured 42 inches from tip to guard.
Yetsuna had been half hoping the fight wouldn't escalate to using weapons, but that seemed unavoidable. At the same time she was somewhat to use her sword, she was better with her blade than her bare hands. She had been told that some medics from squad 4 were on stand by so make sure no fatalities took place, but still, to cut at such a beautiful girl seemed wrong. At this point green haired shinigami was feeling conflicted on several different levels about the way the fight was going.
She watched the rest the blade on her shoulder and approach, silent as death, an odd attribute for someone with such a pleasant disposition. The girl spoke once more this time asking her a question. "Finesse does have its uses, so do techniques, but I found that both aren't to useful without the strength to back it up." The girls demeanor had definitely shifted by point though Yetsuna couldn't exactly place how, she seemed to hold herself like someone far above her age.
Yetsuna watched the girl for any hints of her swinging her blade, but she indicated none. She closed to three feet an Yetsuna waited, she was waiting for a good moment to strike. They stared at each other for what felt like minutes before Yetsuna made a move. She moved out and to the left, attempting to get into a area where she have a slightly harder time to get her with her blade. If her sword bit into the girl like she had hoped the metal would cut a few inches into her side.
If Yetsuna see the girl attempt to swing her blade at her and has a good chance to land the blow she will shunpo to the opposite site, the blondes 7 o'clock, and will continue to uses the same attack just in a different direction and on a opposite side. If both attacks somehow miss she will back off and out roughly eight feet of distance between the two of them, giving her a chance to think of a different attack plan.

Seeing Yetsuna draw their blade, she knew that the fight was about to end soon. She actually felt a little regret at the very thought of having to hurt the girl, and some of the audience were actually falling silent, actually a bit moved by the fighter's unwillingness to attack one another. The hush filled the silence with a heavy weight as she watched the girl move, and unlike she had hoped, Yetsuna wasn't moving away, she was moving in to attack.
However there was something else that was edging it's way in. The way her wakizashi, so much shorter than her other blade, was pulsing, it's own aura throbbing in the back of shizuyoko's mind, excitement pumping into her veins as her heart began beating into the inside of her chest, the thrill of that .....fear? No that was not the right word. She was not afraid of being cut. She was determined not to be cut. She knew it would hurt, and in fact she knew that it would hurt either way, wether she was the one cutting or was the one being cut.
Memories of her older days flooded in, the countless young ones that had challenged her, seeking to prove themselves, to see what the strength of that legendary creature was. That smile only grew wider as the prospect of the encounter continued to well up inside of her. She relaxed, leaning back slightly as Yetsuna moved in, so that when they finally lunged, that blade snicking out in a flash of pale light, seeking to bite into the flesh of her side.
It would. For that brief moment, Yetsuna would feel that blade slide in, Shizuyoko's blade only just coming up to clash against Yetsuna's own, turning her body to the side so that the two slid in close, her own blade pinned to her chest as, for a moment, she seemed to weaken, Yetsuna would find herself almost seeming to overpower the other shinigami as their blades met, the green-haired woman's blade only cutting shallowly before it had just been stopped by her own sword.
For all intents and purposes, this appeared to be the turning point, a score set by Yetsuna that could very well change the whole direction of the fight itself, almost securing the win! The crowd immediately flared, up, yells of excitement and anger roaring around them as the two girls clashed and for the moment the girl that had seemingly had the advantage managed to be cut. The betting areas were roaring louder than any other, those that had bet on the 'apparent' underdog now on their feet, the taste of victory and Ryo fresh in their mouths and in their eyes as they did.
If only it hadn't been on purpose.
Letting Yetsuna score that hit, that weakness and shock. Shizuyoko even surprised herself, having not really anticipated how much it would hurt to be cut. But in all it was still all a part of the plan. With their blades locked, there was a moment of tension as suddenly, there was a soft, whooshing sound, the subtle breeze of motion as Shizuyoko's second blade, one that had been hiding, unsheathed discretely, stealthily out of sight, was suddenly moved with incredible speeds.
Using that special Shunpo Karin, her tail would whip out, lashing out, and then back into her hakama, that cloth simply seeming to ruffle with the sheer speed with which it was executed, as that high-speed slash would aim to cut straight across Yetsuna's abs, intent on severing the muscles, flesh, and some of the non-vital intestines that were spread along the woman's navel. It was.... a harrowing move. One she had never actually used on a hollow before. That subtle shift of her body, leaning back, allowed her hips to move forward to initiate it.
And of course, even if Yetsuna HAD the ability to see that stealthy slice, the speed of that slash was considerable, and even if she had managed to try and shunpo away, the slash was still faster, plenty fast enough to swipe the fleeing shinigami as their clash was so suddenly interrupted. Of course she had HAd to do it in this manner. As a matter of....security so far as her more unusul anatomy and physiology.
She didn't want people knowing about her tails just yet, and thus made sure that the attack moved at a speed where nobody would be able to see just what it was that had executed the move. From their perspective, it would be as if shizuyoko had kept one arm up, and used the other to rapidly unsheathe and then resheathe the blade, executing a beautiful iaido strike. When in fact the truth was a bit more bizarre.
But well....that wasn't the end of it. Yetsuna had shown to have quite the willpower and ability to recover. And just looking at her, Shizuyoko could tell that if there was any hope of victory, then Yetsuna would insist upon continuing to fight, meaning they would have to continue suffering and enduring this engagement even longer. Something that Shizu wasn't quite sure she could take. And so, immediately after that rapid slash, she vanished.
A Familiar feeling would envelop Yetsuna as once again, Shizu simply seemed to blip out of existence, the subtle swish of air only coming after the attack had been initiated, shizuyoko reappearing on the other side of the woman, her odachi still raised, and her wakizashi now sheathed at her side as in the span of that motion, she had used both blades to slice straight through those spots that she had punched only moments before. Of course shizuyoko was not heartless. She intentionally missed those vital spots, hardly wanting to end the woman's career.
Rather, she simply aimed the attack between the shoulder blades and just below the ribcage, effectively aiming to drop the woman faster than a sack of potatos, intent on ending the fight and stepping past the woman, giving them ample time to try and register what had happened while they were falling to the floor. Of course, she did this very purposefully. Namely so that even if the woman had shunpo'd away from her, the Senka would simply allow her to sweep past her to execute the strike anyway, making it seem almost as if she had chased the woman in their shunpo, and wounded them in the process of doing so, as not only the technique, but shizuyoko too, was faster than Yetsuna.
Of course, after initiating these consecutive attacks, she stumbled, dropping to one knee as the strain on her legs bit into the muscle. They were techniques above her level, even if she was a prodigy, she still was just a lower-class shinigami so far, and thus the strain was very evident in using them in succession. She only hoped it was enough to put the girl down for the fight. With one blade going though her spine and one going through her abdomen she was fairly sure she should have incapacitated them. She had mastered the technique after all.
Even so, it was almost haunting the idea that the girl might get back up after the hits. And As she looked over her shoulder, she waited to see if the woman would stay down, her breathing a bit heavier than usual at this point as she watched cautiously, as if expecting the woman to spring back up at any moment, her hands on the hilts of her blades as she was ready to face them if they did pop back up. Strangely.....she almost wished they would.
True it would mean that she hadn't won yet, and that Yetsuna was probably some sort of monster, but even so it would...on some level, alleviate Shizuyoko knowing that she hadn't severely injured the woman, that they would still be alright. Her heart still pounding away inside of her lungs, as if trying to break free under the knowledge of what she had just done still weighed in on her. She had a mission after all. It.....stung, terribly so. And she could only wonder just what that dark Wakizashi of hers was feeling at that moment.
Triumph? Satisfaction? That all those ages ago, when she'd cut off that tail and poured all of her evil into it, that somehow it was glad that she hadn't managed to get all of it? What a ridiculous notion. She was actually insulted at the hypothetical smugness of her blade and resisted the urge to roll her eyes solely because she was so very focused on Yetsuna's form, ignoring the soft river of warmth that ran down her ribs from the cut that the girl had managed to give her during the exchange.
For now she barely even felt it, so focused was she on the other shinigami. However no doubt that from the end of the match, until the squad four present got around to healing that little sucker, that cut was going to smart. And who knew....it occurred to her that perhaps she might ask them to leave the scar. As something of a reminder or something like that. A token of the first fight she ever won with another shinigami.....not that she planned on getting into more fights with shinigami.
The very thought of doing this again was rather nerve-wracking, and immediately she had to resist the urge to glare in Enki's direction, as if some small part of her suspected, or even KNEW that the woman was wearing perhaps the smuggest, shit-eatingest grin that had ever slithered it's way across a jawbone. She knew that the woman probably had some......deranged reason for assigning her this mission. And she was pretty friggin peeved. This had BETTER have been worth it.
-100 Senka -100 Shunpo Karin 900/1200 Reiatsu remaining.

Yetsuna's attack did manage to hit its mark, though not as deeply as she would have liked, but that wasn't the worst of what going to happen to her in the next several moments. The blonde managed to bring her blade around to catch hers, they locked together in a shower of sparks. From her position it was a pretty view, the blonde hair seemed to reflect the light the sparks gave off almost making it look like it was glowing.
The green haired girl as no stranger to fights by this point in her career, she had been a full fledged shinigami for at least a year now, and had been in her share of fights with various creatures and people. During that year she had inadvertently developed a knack for telling when something was about to go wrong, and she got the feeling almost immediately after their blades touched. The best way she could describe the feeling to someone else would be a sinking feeling in her stomach, as cliche as it was.
She ran through a dozen and a half different scenarios in her mind about what could happen next, but she had to admit, what happened next was something that she never would have guessed. She felt a blade bit into her abdomen, deeply too, it broke though the skin, muscle and fat, even biting into her intestines. It was the first time she had ever been cut so deeply in one strike, but to her surprise it didn't hurt too much worse than any other cut she had sustained. It still hurt like hell though.
Blood poured from the her new wound soaking her legs in the warm red liquid and pooled on the ground below her. It wasn't going to take long for her feel the side effects of blood loss, coupled with the severe wound, she only had about three minutes and/or maybe 2 good attacks left in her before she would be to weak to fight. she didn't know if or when she would lose conscientiousness though, she guessed it probably too long after her strength left her though.
Yetsuna did know Shiz pulled some kind of trick, though what it was well beyond her. They were too close for either of their blades to effective and she didn't hear the name of any kido. If time hadn't been a enemy of hers she likely would have asked the blonde what she had done after getting some breathing room. Yetsuna was almost always interested in how others fought and what skills they used, the more she knew the better she would be able to fight in the future, but the a clock (metaphorically) counting down she had to finish the fight now.
Unfortunately for her though she wouldn't be the one to finish the fight. The blonde used a shunpo again, Yetsuna knew where she was going to appear, but she wouldn't be able to react in time. She felt a blade plunge through her chest, yet another new sensation, but this one hurt worse than getting cut. It was a conscience effort to remain standing, between the muscle damage, bleeding, and pain Yetsuna was at her limit.
She heard the the girl breathing behind her, it sounded like she was tired. Yetsuna had a feeling that if she focused all of her will power she still might be able to get a shot in at her, but she doubted it would be a winning one. A small amount of blood began to fall out her mouth, it seemed the damage she had taken was a bit more severe then she had originally guessed. Yetsuna chuckled to herself, another loss against an opponent of skill, she always felt like she had some force working against her in her fights, like she had some kind of handicap. She didn't like losing, but at the same time she had lost her fair share of engagement, often just barely getting away with her full body intact.
She shuffled forward slowly and turned to face the girl, who was probably flabbergasted that she was still standing. Yetsuna was slightly hunched over, the girl had hit something that had effected her ability to stand straight, though she probably couldn't have done that anyway. Yetsuna brought her sword up, but rather than bringing it to a striking position she moved it towards it's sheath. With a small but warm chuckle she said (between somewhat labored breaths) "I've got about one good attack left in me before I pass out, but I doubt it would be a fight winner. So I think I'm going to have to concede this match to you, no point in damaging that lovely body of yours anymore than it already is unless I think I'm going to win." The last part of her statement was obviously her flirting with the other girl.
Yetsuna stepped down off the spire and fell to the ground, her landing obviously wasn't very graceful. As her feet hit the hit ground one of her legs buckled, causing her drop to a knee and put one of her arms out to catch herself. She'll stand back up and work her war over towards the medics, leaving a fairly large trail of blood behind her as she does so. Once she gets near them she'll half sit half fall into a chair while she waits for them to begin their work.
If Shiz offers to help her down she'll put her left arm around the girls shoulders to use as a support, attempting to squeeze of her butt in in the process. If she does and depending on her reaction she'll smile at her and say playfully "You stabbed me twice I don't you're allowed to give me that look." Unless Shiz says or does otherwise they'll make their way over to the healers are, where again she'll half sit half fall into the chair.

There was something dark that stirred inside of her. She didn't even notice that she had her hand planted firmly on the wakizashi at her side, that black aura wrapping around her palm as she watched the woman, noting them as they dropped down to the forest floor below. Still flirting with her the whole way....but.....there was something else in Shizuyoko's mind as she stared at them, watching as they miraculously retained the ability to move.
She had seen it before. Shinigami that had refused to die. She remembered them.....clearly. Watching them limp on. Insisting to keep moving until she simply had to reach ut and crush their bodies into mush. Back before she had gotten anywhere. Back when she was just some monster. she dropped down beside Yetsuna, and a hush fell to the crowd as her hand was still on that blade, and for just a moment, they would wonder.
Was Shizuyoko going to deal a finishing blow? Slash their legs to keep them from walking, making it a decisive victory? Immediately some of the security began preparing themselves, preparing to intervene and stop the young woman if it turned out that she refused to accept the other girl's surrender, ready to cart Shizu off for misconduct. However, despite their hesitation. Shizu had much less nefarious things in mind.
She let Yetsuna's arm slip around her, helping them off their feet. An immediate sigh of relief ran through the crowd, and Shizuyoko offered a pleasant smile to Yetsuna as she would start to help them off toward the medical area, already several squad four members were moving in to help transport the woman, of course there was still one more surprise that would pop it's rather adorable little head up, at least for Shizuyoko.
The feel of that hand firmly planting against her ass and giving it a squeeze, sending a jolt of warmth up her spine and a look of surprise to flash across her face as her eyes imediately shifted to Yetsuna. If ever there was a time where nobody would blame her for giving the girl a smack, it would probably be now. But well, Yetsuna had a point. The girl was pretty cute, and honestly was.....nice. She was young, vibrant, and Shizuyoko couldn't help but smile fondly of the days when she had been so young.
Leaning in, she gently gave a little peck to the side of the woman's cheek, just as the medics finally arrived, relieving her of Yetsuna's weight and already starting to get to work on stopping the bleeding so that they could get to healing the woman. "No I suppose I can't complain. I.....had fun. If you're not too busy doing...squad 12 things. Perhaps we can train together. I certainly wouldn't mind teaching you some of my moves." She noted pleasantly, unaware of the amount of Yetsuna's blood she had on her, and then turning to take her leave. She had a cash prize to collect. And a Mentor to question.
