The idea of taking on a mission was something rather daunting. Menial tasks and the like to partake in. Simple right? Well she supposed she should have expected as much. She doubted her first mission was going to be something high-class. The fact of the matter being that she was still an unseated member. She actually smiled a little at her early assumptions and ideas of her 'first ever mission'. The idea of some...dramatic little thing that turned into something huge. Like some sort of epic tale. The very idea of such a story brought a smile to her face.
It was....strange. Being who she was. She was....technically speaking....famous. People all over japan knew her old name, and even Shinigami knew the tale of her. But of course, here she was Some new girl in the squad. Well she supposed there was nothing for it. Gently, she reached back and ran her fingers through her hair as she walked. The air was Nice and warm. It was hardly close to night just yet, but it was very clearly getting well into the day. When she'd been informed of the mission she had been a bit...surprised.
To think that a couple thousand years ago, there could indeed have been a mission just like this, and these individuals could have found themselves running into her. She smiled, a soft little smirk that belied her age as she slowly shook her head, dabbling idly into old memories and far-gone tales. She would have to tell a few of them sometime. With some retconning of course. But she supposed she'd worry about that later.
For the time being, she was almost to the designated Meeting Area. As she walked, that smile started to fade slightly as she took on a more professional air. Reaching up she began to tie her hair back, winding it up into a bun before she gently slipped that dark cap on over her skull, hooking a finger into the loose cloth that was her facial mask. Pulling it up, she put it into it's proper place, slipping it over her lower features until only the line of her eyes was visible. With her tails in her pants and her hair tied back and under the cap, there wasn't much one could discern about her.
A Blonde, blue-eyed shinigami. Fairly common as it were. Nothing that would catch the eye. The only real notable thing being the two blades slung across her lower back and from shoulder to hip. The sheer difference in the two blades probably more striking than anything. In her mind she laid out the projected plan for their travel. There was a path they would be taking in order to get to the shrine. Naturally she'd have to see how sparse the terrain was for the place. Hopefully there would be plenty of rocks, trees, and long grass to go through. Of course....she was fairly sure there would be plenty. It was the wilderness after all.
Even so she supposed she needed to be prepared for the event that they would pass through some sort of desert area. But even then dunes should be in place. Hmm.... she would worry about that late. A brief little glance around told her that she was almost to the section of the rukongai, where it transitioned into the wild lands. It wouldn't be long now until she arrived at the meeting point. Smiling behind her mask, she put on a bit more speed, eager to reach the destination.

Yetsuna was wandering around one of the lower number districts of rukongai, she didn't know which one though, they didn't exactly have lines denoting where one district ended and another one began. She was on her way to one of the nicer drinking establishments to meet a few friends, they had all managed to score some time off and what better way to start a vacation then to get a few cold drinks with friends? Finding the place was a bit harder than she thought it would be, she was used to going out in the 20's district; they weren't as uptight there and didn't care if the group got rowdy (within reason).
After about 30 minutes, and a few twists, turns, and having to stop to get directions, she manged to find the place. The sign next to the door read "Hakurou", it was probably a shinigami bar based on the name; a place to go if a death god didn't want to drink in the Seireitei. She pushed aside the curtain that acted as a door and went inside. She had to admit the place was a hell of a lot nicer than their normal hang out spots.
It was a fancy looking place, the walls were made of a pristine white marble on which portraits of the 13 Gotei captains hung. She looked around quickly and found her captains, it was a nice painting, it captured his likeness well. The floor was a polished dark stone that was so glossy it almost could have been used as a mirror. Smack in the middle of the room was a circular bar displaying a surprisingly large number of liqueurs and spirits, she had no idea that the Soul Society had such a large selection.
Placed around the bar were at least a dozen circular tables made of some dark colored wood with chairs to match. The walls of the bar were lined with white cushioned booths. She saw her friends sitting in one of the booths, about 6 people in total; 3 of them were from squad 11, one of them was squad 4, and the other 2 were squad 12. She saw several glasses and bottles on the table already, seemed like they had started without her, she wasn't too surprised though, she knew she running late.
She took a seat with her friends and took one of the bottles that was on the table with a smile, they had already gotten her a drink. They sat around and drank with each other for several hours, until they were all fairly well drunk. They normally would ahve been more rowdy, but because of the place they were in they managed to keep the noise down, though they did get a few dirty looks from the bartenders as the night went on.
When it came time to split the tab and head home Yetsuna realized she had had a problem, she didn't have enough money to cover her end. The gotei didn't pay too well if you were on the low end of the rank spectrum and she had been using most of her money to either get healing (her back getting snapped wasn't a very cheap fix) or for gifts for Joyuse. Her friends helped her out and covered her tab, but it came at a price; she was the butt of almost every joke until they got back to the Seireitei.
She didn't mind being the target of their jokes, she could roll with the punches easily, but she was slightly embarrassed to find herself broke. She was knew she gonna end up having to work during her vacation a bit if she wanted to have some spending money for the rest of it. the thought didn't make her happy, she rather have just had the time to be lazy, but its hard to have a good vacation when you don't have any money.
When they were almost home and the joking had ended she asked them if anyone them knew someone that needed a job done. One of the guys from squad 12 pulled a flier out of his uniform and handed it to her. "Saw this posted around the other day, someone was looking for a bodyguard for a trip or something, I was thinking of doing it, buuuuuut I think you could use the money more than I could." She stuck her tongue out playfully at him as she took it, "Had to get that last cheap shot in didn't
Yveltal was smiling as he headed towards the meeting place for this seemingly boring mission that would take up way too much of his time. Those that normally saw him walking around would be taken back at the sight of him having an actual happy smile across his face and not one of malice and hate. It was an odd sight to see that this shingami was actually happy to do something. Those that had first hand encounters with him knew that something was very wrong, given that the man was normally a ready to snap at any given moment. So the question was why was he so happy? What had caused him to have this smile across his face? The answer was simple, just moments before he had stumbled across a kitten and was now carrying the sleeping cat in one of his pockets.
Unknown to almost everyone, Yveltal had a soft spot for small and cuddly animals. For some reason he couldn't bring himself to be angry at them at all and in fact the little things calmed him down to a state of where he wasn't about to kill someone. The little white ball of fur let out soft purs as it slept in his pocket which sounded like music to him. This was a great day for him, even if this mission would suck and take a bit of time he would be able to enjoy having a bit of free time to play with the kitten while the group eventually took a break from walking. He gave half a thought to even just going home and forgetting about it, but the pay was rather good so he knew that it would be worth it and he now needed to buy some kind of cat food when he got home for the kitten to eat.
As he walked towards the meeting place there was no rage in his actions. The tattooed shingami smiled enjoying the walk trying to remember when was the last time he felt like this. Felt a feeling of joy and not rage, the chance to actually think about something besides wanting to cause pain. He wanted to know about his past, about the person he was and why was he so angry all the time. He even knew himself that no one should be in a constant state of anger, yet here he always was, well except for now. Right now he could think of other things, but his mind wandered to the last memory he could remember.
Flames, flames everywhere and the smell of smoke filled his nose. He had awakened in a fire in the middle of his home and around his feet there was blood. He slowly raised his hands and they were soaked in blood, but not his own blood. Turning to look around he saw it, something that shook him to the core, in the room right across from him blocked off by flames he saw the elderly couple that had adopted him when he was a toddler. They were brutally beaten, their bodies looked as if they had been struck several times. Their limbs were mangled and torn. He cried out for them but his lungs filled with smoke leaving him unable to say a word. Begging for answers he pleaded out for something to make sense.
That's when he saw it in a mirror he saw his own reflection and it made him stop everything. It slowly started to come together, the blood split on the floor, the fire being started, him coated in blood that wasn't his. He did this, in a fit of rage he struck out at his adoptive parents and killed them. He had brutally ended their lives in a moment and now he started this fire to cover his tracks, but half way through something happened. Something caused him to stop and now he was trapped understanding what was going on and he was going to die. As he tried to move something heavy fell ontop of him crushing him. The flames were engulfing him and all he could see was smoke and fire. For a moment he thought he could hear a voice that said “good enough...”, but then nothing. It faded to black and nothing else was happening. [Stop music]
Just like that the memory ended, he was brought back to the real world. Nothing, he couldn't remember anything more than just that. Why did he do it? Why was he so angry, he didn't recall ever being like that as a kid. Whatever the reason was it would have to wait as he saw that the meeting place was up ahead and he would get to it in a few moments. The red haired shingami with teal eyes drew his attention to what was to come ahead. His large black boots were laced up and he cracked all of his knuckles at once. He kept the smile on his face as he got closer, he wondered how long it would take for those that he would be traveling with to comment on the tattoo's around his eyes that went down his cheeks and to the back of his neck.

While all of the Shinigami arrived the old woman stayed still looking over the beauty of the trees and the flowers of the area. It was one of the few places on the edge of any Rukongai district that was beautiful and not swept away with aggression and hardship. The first to make an appearance was what the woman believed to be a young blonde girl that wore all black. "My my I see that the most beautiful are still the most dangerous." The woman smiled gently and bowed to the girl. From what she could tell this girl wasn't suppose to reveal what she looked like and that was fine. The woman knew better than to judge based on appearance.
Right away after she had stood strait again the old woman saw the somewhat young looking boy walking over towards the both of them. He wore the same black uniform that the normal Shinigami wore so it was obvious that he was also one of the three Shinigami that had been assigned to protect her on the journey. This Shinigami though was giving off a dark aura that the woman could feel. She didn't really like having him on this, but couldn't say no to it either. She just had to hope that he was actually good and if something bad happened he would protect her.
She was going to speak and then out of nowhere the final Shinigami who appeared to be a young girl with long green hair. She to wore the Shinigami attire and that made three of the Shinigami that had all arrived around the same time. The woman bowed to the new arrival and the man, but looked to the new girl with a smile. "Well now your an adorable one." It was so nice to see such beauty, but yet depressing that said beauty chose to live a life of constant fighting and hardship.
So the old woman began to walk from Rukongai out into the wilds of Soul Society. It would be a few minutes of walking at a rather slow pace until they actually reached a noticeably different area. She kept walking, but now she was walking through a thick forest that had high trees with branches all over the place. The three Shinigami would hopefully not like this area and ask the woman to take a different route to the shrine. Who knew if they kept going at this pace in this type of area the possibility of being attacked might actually be more then twice as likely.

When she finally arrived Shizuyoko was admittedly kind of....shocked when the old lady made a comment about her beauty. She tilted her head, blushing a bit at the very idea. She was used to being a monster after all. Four thousand years prepared one for it. She actually smiled softly, warmly at the thought that at one point in her life, this lady had been just a little girl in the rukongai, or perhaps even younger they may have died at such an age.
And she had lived such a wonderful life it seemed. Shizu smiled just a bit wider and gently bowed her head respectfully, even with that mask obscuring the fact that she was smiling from the woman's attention, a woman of this old lady's age would probably be able to recognize the smile in Shizu's eyes. And perhaps a bit more than that, individuals of their age were very sensitive, so Shizu tried to.....loosen herself a bit. Try to hold herself a bit less gracefully. Seem a little less old than she was.
In any case, she immediately grew to a more.....stern mindset when a certain man made his way in. She immediately had a visceral internal reaction to his presence, and she instinctively felt the need to keep an eye on him, suspicion already expressively spreading throughout her body as she retained a reserved eye on the young man. And even more surprising, she noticed a familiar face. She would have commented, but well....she was hardly recognizable. With her hair tied up in hercap and only her eyes being shown through the rather all-encompassing state of her Omnitsukido uniform, which she reached up to make sure her mask was fastened.
In any case she remained silent to the other two participants, and proceeded to begin following the old lady. As she chose her.....specific route she paused, glancing at the old lady. " Is there not a.....safer route?" She asked with slight concern. But she had an idea that well.....there probably were none. This woman was old. And she knew this place like the back of her hand no doubt.
If this was the route she chose, it was either A: The safest, as no doubt found by the woman with so many trips she'd made through the area. Or Secondarily: It was not, and the choice was a result of mild dementia in an aging woman. In which case she would insist that this was the right way. There was also the....rare door number three, in that the old lady was simply a little forgetful, and perhaps Shizuyoko's little reminder would refresh her memory on a safer route. She could always hope after all.
But in either case, once they were truly on her way, and most likely remaining on this.....dangerous stretch of road. Shizuyoko would slip off to the side path, nodding to Yveltal and Yetsuna to keep an eye on the woman, and silently assuring them that she'd be close by. In this manner she would slip into the trees that surrounded the road itself. Using her stealth capabilities in order to make herself a watchful wraith, someone that...if something DID go awry, would go undetected. Not only that, but she was very good at finding others trying to sneak around.
IF she could manage to snag something creeping up on them before anyone else. she may be able to....dispatch any issues before they even reached the others. At least such was the hope as she hopped up into the trees and began silently following the small little caravan, eyes always trained about her as they went about their way. And of course......also making mental note to keep a VERY close eye on that strange young man.

Yetsuna suddenly appeared in the meeting area for the mission, she had used a shunpo to make a somewhat flashy entrance, though she really didn't have a reason for it other than she wanted to. She looked at her comrades for the mission before looking at the employer. She had to more or less trust those people blindly, so the sooner she could figure them out the better. They both appeared to be shinigami in nature, one of them gave of a very pleasant aura the other was the complete opposite.
The one with the pleasant aura wore as mask to obscure their face, though as Yetsuna looked them over she saw the tell tale curves of a female figure. She guessed the other female was part of one of the spook squads. The only squad she really knew about with spooks was squad 2, but she had recently met someone from a squad called the Omnitsukido. The green haired shinigami didn't know much about the squad, but she did learn that they were some sort of special ops squad that generally tended to be spooks as well. She wondered which, if either, this girl was from.
The other shinigami almost seemed to be her polar opposite. The aura around the man literally bleed malicious intent, but something about it was odd. While there was an evil feeling to him without a doubt, at the same time it almost seemed to be mixed with some.....happiness? content? She couldn't help but wonder what would give someone like that such a feeling. Regardless her instincts told her not to trust the man, though she hoped that her gut was wrong; she didn't want to have to watch her back through the whole mission.
She finally cast her gaze upon their employer for the mission as she in return looked at her and spoke. Yetsuna blushed slightly at the compliment, she was ignorant about her physical appeal, but direct compliments still made her blush. It was interesting for the green haired girl to to see someone who was truly old, she knew life spans in the Soul Society tended to be upwards of 20 times longer than the life spans of those in the world of the living. Heck, by Soul Society she was still technically a child.
She couldn't pick up too much from the old lady, though she did seem to be kind in nature, not that it was a surprise. People who visited memorials didn't tend to have a dark nature. Short after the old woman's last comment the spook spoke, asking a question about their route. Something about the girls voice seemed familiar to her, but she couldn't quiet place it (yet). The question was a fair one, but at the same time she felt it was a useless one; the wilds were a dangerous place, Yetsuna could testify to that well enough.
After the old lady answered the question Yetsuna would ask one of her own. "What should we called you Misses..." she let her voice trail off politely to the lady answer the question. Yetsuna's voice was a mix of a professional demeanor but at the same time genuine kindness. After the old woman answers her question Yetsuna will introduce herself with a smile and then pose the lady one more question. "How long is the trip to the trip to the shrine?" she'll ask in the same manner she had asked her previous question.
The moment he saw his traveling partners he gave a frown. One was a green haired chick while the other wore a mask and was easily a female. It's not that he didn't enjoy the company of females it's more that he felt that he was going to have to do all the heavy lifting in this mission. From his experience even though they were shingami most females ended up being much weaker than him, but that was true of almost everyone he met. Still he said nothing to any of them not really giving a crap about any of their opinions.
The client was an old lady, he had been expecting someone old, but not that old. It looked as if at any point she was going to fall over and die. Still he couldn't feel any rage towards her, her face was really similar to his adoptive mother. He just wanted to get this over with. Whatever the other two did, it wouldn't matter to him as long as this was over quick he would behave.... somewhat. The little kitten in his pocket still slept peacefully as they started to leave.
He had been hoping that this would be a rather quick mission, but that dream was shattered as he saw how slow the old lady was walking. If it had been any slower it would seem as if she was just standing there and not actually moving. This was annoying him, she was worse than a snail, furthermore he knew that the two girls wouldn't say a thing. He found himself stopping from time to time to let her walk some before he took a few steps himself to keep him from walking right past this woman. It took them several minuets to get to a wooded area that would of normally taken him alone less than half that time.
When they entered he couldn't take it anymore. That was it, he had had enough. He took both his arms and grabbed the old lady. His face held a sinister smile like always. At a first glance it looked like he was about to kill her, but no he wasn't. He cradled her in his arms keeping her head up and picked up the pace at which he was walking back to his normal pace. “Point the way that's the fastest.” He was tired of how slow she was going and this was the the only way to speed this whole mission up. Well there was another way, to kill the old lady, but then he wouldn't be paid and right now he needed a bit of spending ryo.

Well it seemed that the majority of the group was against going through the pathway of the forest however it was in fact the fastest way to reach the shrine. While the woman was very elderly she wasn't without experience and could tell based on how the two girls were moving that neither of them liked that they would be entering into the forest. Both of them were smart knowing that such a place as this was dangerous yet they seemed to trust that if she was capable of going through they shouldn't have a hard time. She smiled wide and warmly at how wonderful her company was right now.
The woods got thicker and less vision was available regarding the surrounds past the trees on each side of the path along with the bushes and foliage. It was at this point that the male Shinigami seemed to just grab ahold of her arms and pick her up. He asked her which way was the fastest and that warm smile the old woman had held was gone. Yveltal would suddenly lose his hold on the old woman as she seemed to slide out from between his hands. In the next moment a small amount of blue reiatsu appeared around her right hand. In the next moment her hand would touch his chest and Yveltal would be sent flying backwards off his feet and to the ground a total of thirty meters away from the old woman. "It's not acceptable for a young man to grab ahold of a lady in such a manner. Filthy hoodlum." The old woman wouldn't feel the need to wait or answer any questions regarding what had just happened and would simply continue on her way through the woods.
It was a few more minutes of traveling slowly when the blond haired Shinigami would first see movement ahead of them from her position away from the others. Whether she acted on what she saw in what way didn't matter for the trap had already been set and the woman had without knowing led them right into it. Now as the green haired female and the unruly male Shinigami along with the woman continued on the path suddenly they would hear the sounds of laughter. In the next moment what appeared to be bandits would appear from behind trees on the side of the path.
They were easily out numbered and it seemed that the bandit party was without a doubt those that felt quantity could beat out quality. However, they didn't seem to be new to this sort of thing either. The three of them were surrounded by ten bandits each holding either a sword, mace or axe with a grin on their face. Ahead of them though there were two archers sitting on tree branches with an arrow each already nocked to the bow and aimed at the Shinigami. After a few moments passed and they would be able to take in everything did a voice make its way to each of them. "Well hello there. So nice for you three to come all the way out here just to help me out." In the next moment a tall blonde haired bandit no doubt the leader grinned to all of them with victory written across his face.

Shizuyoko had to admit. She didn't see what was so wrong with Yveltal's idea, aside from the presumptuousness of it. And well, the old lady's sudden snap back for his actions did make her feel a little silly. She was still in the transition period of trying to think like a shinigami. However the very instant that the old woman retaliated and sent the boy blastingoff again, she immediately felt a DROP in his good intentions, and immediately she had a feeling that he was probably going to do something rash.
However the opportunity for intervention suddenly became considerably more narrow as she picked up motion around them. Immediately she froze, retaining her stealthy position as it became suddenly clear that a number of those bandit types were suddenly all around them. Her eyes narrowed as she focused on the number. She couldn't quite tell how many of them there were at the very moment, but she did spot two targets in particular that had high priority. Namely a pair of archers that were now stationed up in the trees. They posed likely the biggest threat for the time being, and Shizuyoko wondered if she would be able to take them out silently. It was no question.
However it was at that point that suddenly a third target came out into view. A blonde male that seemed very much to be the CO of this little group. Of course it was also possible that more of them were nearby. She would have to try and make it so that no alarms sounded. As she silently moved from tree to tree, she moved to the archer that was most to the left of the leader, keeping enough distance so that it would not be alerted of her position as she looked around, her mind mulling over her options for a moment as she idly frowned.
If she were to start taking things out, the only real threats to her would be the Archers, as she was doubtlessly not only faster than those hooligans on the ground, but she had a fair idea that they had little to no climbing ability if they wanted to keep their weapons. The sword holders maybe... but the rest would be very encumbered. And as much as she wanted to take out their boss first, she didn't think she'd be able to handle two rapid executions before he would be suddenly aware of her presence. And from there she would not be able to guarantee she would be able to keep them off the alert. If she took out the archers and immediately slipped back into hiding, they would have to deal with the more...psychological effects of the rapid dispatch.
Afterall, there would be no indication of just how many of her there were. They would only know that in the span of but an instant, two of them had been immediately taken out, with the perpetrator not to be found. Hopefully, that might even spook some of them into abandoning the endeavor entirely. That entirely relied on the leadership ability of that blonde man down there. But well....if he proved able to keep them organized.....he would be the next one she took out. But in the meantime...
She shifted silently, eyes on the Archer she was now only barely a touch away from. Quietly, she drew that short, black waizashi, far less of a chance that the blade glint would draw attention. She was VERY good with stealth, but she wasn't quite good enough with the move she planned on using to ensure that enormous blade wouldn't get stuck in a tree on the backswing. So readying that blade, she only slightly rounded the tree that the first archer was nested in.
Her arm suddenly blurred, that blade was a dark, glintless ghost as it swiped out, with an insane speed and silence that arm would lash out and aim to separate the Archer's left shoulder and head from the rest of their body, eyes narrowed as she turned her body and immediately launched herself into a second attack, before the first archer's body would even start tumbling backwards from her first strike, she would move once again, in a move faster even than a normal shunpo, she was, quite suddenly, simply behind the other archer. Positioned on the other side of the tree trunk with the wakzashi sheathed at her hip. Senka was an ability that, unlike the shunpo karin she had just used, was something she had mastered, so having her exit position be just around a slight obstruction, and also be a spot where she would immediately be hidden was no issue at all.
In the span of that second attack, her blade would have, in the midst of that second, much more legendary high-speed attack, have swung in a wide arch, Senka mastered at this level designed such that the frontal swing mid-step pierced through the soul sleeve, and through the soul sleep on the backswing that the individual was caught in as she finished passing them, and then finally her blade would be placed in it's scabbard as she arrived at her final spot, remaining incredibly still as no doubt both archers would at this point be dropping.
In the wake of those two attacks, Shizu would feel a sudden spike in muscle strain in herarms and lgs, but thankfully she had remained within her capable limit for consecutive high-speed attacks, so it would not be something that would be an immediate combat concern for the time being. For now, she needed to remain hidden, and keep an eye on how the bandits responded to the sudden loss of their ranged supports. And more importantly, how Yetsuna and the Thuggish male shinigami would capitalize on the advantage that she had given them by eliminating the ranged threat. She could only hope that the boy would get his rage under control.

Yetsuna followed only a step behind the old woman as she lead them through the forest. She walked a bit slower than she would have liked, but she didn't really mind too much, it gave her time to let her mind wander. The spook had disappeared somewhere into the trees when they had started their trip, Yetsuna knew she was around somewhere though, she didn't seem the type to abandon a mission before it had even started.
The red haired guy on the other hand was still in full view, and she could feel that contentedness feeling droping at an alarming rate. She was somewhat curious what was causing it and what would be the result if he got too annoyed. She had barely finished the thought when she got her answer. He advanced on the old woman, Yetsuna tensed getting ready to intervine if needed, but to her relief he only picked her up.
She relaxed a bit letting her guard drop to a normal level once more. She was just about to lose herself in her thoughts again when suddenly something went flying by her right side only a few inches away. She instinctly jumped to the left and looked for what had gone by her. She saw the other shinigami on his back roughly 90 feet away. She turned her head to the right and saw the old woman and she didn't seem pleased, she didn't know what the old woman had done or how she did it but two things went through her mind. Don't piss of the old lady a desire to know what technque she had used.
Yetsuna turned her head back towards her ally for the mission and she felt her stomach drop. He was figurativly bleeding ill intent, and it was a fairly easy guess as to who it was directed at. For better or worse however, he wouldn't get much of a window to take his rage out on the woman. A laughter rung out from around them and a large group of bandits appeared.
She counted at least 10 with melee weapons and she saw 2 archers in some trees behind them. Yetsuna guessed that she could take on 3-4 of them without too much issue, the archers would pose a problem though. She was running through a few tactics to try and keep the old lady out of the metaphorical and literal line of fire when a blonde man appeared. He was more than likely not the leader of the little outfit, her suspcison all but confirmed when he was the one to speak.
Yetsuna had been about to retort when she saw the archers go down, likely the work of the spook. Her instincts conflicted, she wanted to capitalize on the moment, a shunpo behind the bandits and a good swing of her sword would likely take out 2 of them if she placed herself right, but at the same time that would leave the old woman vulnerable. Based on her display earilier chances were the old lady could handle herself, but it was generally better to err on the side of caution.
Yetsuna would take her blade out a half moment after the archers were felled and move to a postion in front of the old lady before any bandit could get to her, creating a buffer and giving the old lady to get to get some cover. She would look challengingly at anyone who wanted to try and get to the old lady. She would take on any comers using the length of her blade to her advantage, taking them out before they could get close. If the old lady tells Yetsuna not to worry about her she'll using the (likely) distraction of the red haired male attacking the leader to shunpo behind 2 to 3 of them and with a wide stroke cut into their stomachs. The wounds may not be enough for an immediate dispatch them, but it will more than likely be enough to keep them out of the fight.
That fucking bitch, fuck that old lady..... I'm going to fucking kill her. Yveltal had been sent flying back, but it wasn't enough to hurt him. Whatever she had done had only accomplished one thing and one thing only. To piss him the fuck off, there were tons of ways for her to say no to him carrying her, but to do that. It was the worst way to get him to let go. He had only been trying to help, but no she had to be a bitch and attack him for no reason. Furthermore, if she had that kind of power why did she need guards?
However his thoughts weren't on killing the old bitch just yet. He had to check to see if the kitten was ok. Luckily the kitten was still ok, which was good news for everyone in the party. It meant that he didn't have to kill all of them right way for harming the kitten. Standing up he cracked his knuckles and laughed. He was pissed off and now he needed something to relive his rage at. Luckily for everyone there seemed to be a few bandits that thought it would be a good idea to try to jump them.
From what he could tell there were ten of them, maybe more, but numbers never mattered to him. It seemed as if the two females weren't totally useless at all given that they took out a few, but the rest were his. He would pound them all into the ground. He was on the outside of the group and they had their backs turned to him. That was a mistake, there were two right next to one another. Both of them were in arm's reach and he took that advantage. From behind he grabbed them by their necks lifted them up off the ground and snapped both of them as if they were twigs. Their bodies hung in the air lifeless. His eyes focused on the one with blonde hair and he gave a smile. “I”m going to break you all.”
He tossed the bodies of both men with most of his strength, turning their lifeless bodies into weapons at two other bandits that were still alive. Keeping them away from the old lady and the green haired shingami. If Yestsuna was still next to the old lady he would dash there at full speed. It would take but a moment to get to her as he stood next to Yetsuna and pulled the half awake kitten from his pocket and placed it on her head. “Keep him safe or I'll end you.” His voice didn't have any rage in it when he spoke to her. No he wasn't demanding it, he was giving her a warning, that if something happened to the kitten he would punish her for it. If she wasn't he would keep the kitten in his pocket.
The blonde haired man would be his prime target, but the others would be icing on a cake. “All of you fall back, these fuckers are mine. You have an issue with that I'll break you too.” Those words were yelled out at his two so called comrades. He was itching for a fight and these men would have to do. He wasn't going to let anyone else take his prey away from him. The blonde had an weapon, but that meant nothing to him. The leader wouldn't even have a chance to use it.
Shumpo, a simple tech, but it was extremely effective. Using it he appear behind the leader in a flash. His strike was already in motion as he reappear. With great strength and speed behind it he aimed right at the man's dominant arm. The punch would connect and break the bandit's leader's arm. The pain from having his arm broken right away would be the opening he needed to continue his assault. Still behind the bandit leader he kicked at the right thigh. With the same strength as before that shattered the man's arm. His hands went to grab the other arm that was unbroken. He snapped it backwards, all that was left was the bandit's left leg and that wouldn't last long either. The man's weight should cause him to buckle under having only one unbroken leg. Yveltal took that opportunity to break it, by kicking the back of the man's knee cap with almost all of his strength.
The bandit leader now had four broken limbs and Yveltal was having fun. This was too easy and too much fun, Yveltal took the bandit leader's weapon for his own use. Even breaking the man's fingers if need be. He kicked the lump of a man into the center of the rest of the bandits and smiled. “Well, what are you shit heads waiting for? Come and get me or maybe if you beg I'll take you guys on as followers.” He continued to laugh wondering what the rest of the bandits would do. There would be no mercy at all, he would just kill them one by one. For now though he kept the leader alive knowing that there was something more to this and he wanted answers.

Well it seemed that these three weren't the type to just let fear overwhelm them and make their decisions for them. No the first to move was that blonde girl that covered herself in black clothing meant for those that saw death far to often. The archers were positioned and with arrows nocked to their bows ready to shoot the green haired Shinigami at any moment if anything were to happen. However, they didn't account for the swift movements of the blonde who seemed to never be present due to her use of shunpo and senka. In less than a moment everything had gone as she had planned.
The archers were taken care of yet their bodies didn't stay up in the trees. Their bodies fell to the ground and hit with a loud thud altering the rest of the bandit gang. However, as that happened the green haired female and the red haired angry male seemed to take action of their own. The old woman who was suppose to be protected during the entirety of this trip was simply standing there with her arms crossed over her stomach and her eyes closed. She didn't seem to be scared at all, but if anyone looked carefully they would see her lips moving yet no sound came from them.
The male went into action and seemed to believe that he could conquer all of the bandits alone. The two bandits that were near him were indeed rather useless and were killed easily yet they weren't the bandits to base the others on. The male wouldn't bother to take notice yet what he had killed were nothing more than young boys that had been the weakness of the entire gang. Now as he executed a shunpo behind the leader of the group the two females would suddenly see the leader himself turn. "All you Shinigami are the same. Attacking in the same way no matter who you fight. The predictable die insect." The leader was bent at the knees below the punch of the male and a knife drawn from his waist that was now in the gut of the Shinigami.
That was only the beginning though as the entire mission seemed to be turned on its head. Not only was the male now injured, but the blonde would hear what sounded like bark being broken. In the next moment a bandit with green hair that looked to be around the age of a teenager and female sprung up beside her. She was rotation in the air with her arms outstretched axes in both her hands as they were swung in Shizu's direction. If she didn't do something immediately one of the axes was going to bury its head in her left shoulder.
As the green haired bandit attacked Shizu two of the others that surrounded Yetsuna and the old woman stepped forwards. They rushed towards Yetsuna one going in lending forwards with a short sword in his left hand and a knife in his right. The other wielded a mace and rushed her while standing upright. They were planning to attack together with the swordsman attacking her from the right at her chest and head level and the other attacking at her legs. It was a plot on how they were standing and if Yetsuna didn't take notice or counter she was going to be in some serious danger.
No battle would be complete without including the leader though which seemed to be happening just as the others began to take action as well. He disengaged from the male Shinigami lunging backwards roughly five feet. As he did that though his right hand went to work moving to his waist and unsheathing what looked to be a short sword. However, in the next moment there was a click and he slashed downwards at the male. As he did so the blade seemed to dislodge itself becoming a bladed whip that was set to slash down the left side of the Shinigami's chest if he didn't move in the next moment.

Shizuyoko was....fairly surprised that her plan went on without a hitch. She admitted that she was surprised she had been able to pull it off. Maybe Enki wasn't such a bad teacher afte- And suddenly axes. Eyes opened a bit wide for a moment as Shizu mildly panicked, watching as the spinning woman aimed to hack at her with those spinning axe-slashes. Admittedly she was impressed.
Not only had this woman managed to spot her whilst she was hiding, but had also managed to sneak up on her. Which meant they were not only decent at spotting sneakers, but good enough at sneaking that shizu hadn't been able to spot them as they moved in. those vibrant green eyes focused on the woman as they moved in. The woman was about as fast as she was, so she probably wasn't going to be able to just keep jumping away. If she lost sight of them they would probably drift into hiding, then find a much better angle to attack her from.
Reaching in, she launched herself at the woman, shoving herself in as they spun, moving when their side as still presented to her as she reached up. Pushing herself against their body, she gently slid her arm up and around the pit of the woman as that axe arm suddenly stopped. Shizu placing herself past the woman's shoulder, beyond the point where she could be hit by the slash without the woman twisting to completely readjust their swing. Her eyes locked with the green-haired bandit's for just a moment as she gently jabbed her wakizashi upward, under the woman's armpit as she aimed to slip that blade up and under the ribcage.
At the very same moment she gently curled up, bringing her knees up to her chest as she created a reishi platform at her feet, giving her a solid platform to brace off of. With a sudden burst of reiatsu, she used shunpo, launching herself straight into the woman's body as she did so. Now normally this was a rather ridiculous move, especially given that just by touching them, she could tell they had a bit more strength than her. However they were in the middle of the air. And unlike Shizu, this bandit had nothing to brace herself against. So plowing herself at high speeds into their body was not going to give them any leeway to use that strength to stop her. Instead, Shizu aimed to plow the both of them straight into a tree not five feet away, with the force of a shunpo that should have moved them a good forty feet.
With the green-haired woman's body to cushion her, she would have no issues with the impact Not only that, but she had moved that blade very deliberately. Even if the woman managed to catch themselves against the tree, shizu's zanpaku'to handle was still butt-out just infront of their belly. Regardless of the woman's ability to catch themselves, the impact with the trunk would force that blade straight through the woman's body, and with Shizu keeping her body oriented perpendicular to their's where there was no chance of accidentally stabbing herself.
If all went as planned, the green-haired bandit would find herself stuck on Shizuyoko's blade ontop of the impact with the tree, sparing Shizuyoko the impact as the Omnitsukido would glance around for any others moving in on her position. She had no delusions about being out of the woods, and there was also the chance that the sneaky axe-fighter was still conscious. So she kept her guard up, and didn't make a peep, working under the assumption that she might have to suddenly defend from yet another sneak attacker.

2 men stepped forward to challenge her, though whether or not they wanted her herself or the old lady was likely a topic up for debate. Both the men seemed to have evil grins on their faces, "How cute," she thought to herself, "they think they can beat me." Yetsuna saw that she had the advantage in reach, one of them had a short sword and dagger combo while the other held a mace. Seemed like a simple enough match up.
The one with the mace held more threat to her than the one with the blades. Swords can cut flesh and cause pain, but chances were that she would still be able to move even if she look a hit. Maces on the other hand often broke bones and had a higher chance of crippling her in some fashion even if they didn't strike a vital area. The mace wielder would also likely be easier to take out first, maces were a effective weapon, but somewhat clumsy even in skilled hands because of their weight. She decided to take him out first.
As they advanced on her she shifted back slightly, she wanted them to make the first move, she often found it easier to counter an attack then launch one against a prepared opponent. The two of them charged her together, the one with the swords aimed for her upper body while the other aimed for her legs. A effective tactic, but if she had been the one launching it she might have decided to reverse who was attacking what.
They were coming at her from both sides so her best dodge options were to go up, back, or to use a shunpo. She opted for the final option. She quickly gathered reaitsu at her feet and launched off at full speed to her right, bringing her left leg up as she moved. Her left knee would make contact and drive into the sword wielding bandits solar plexus in an attempt to knock the wind out of him. When she made her attack she made sure that her leg went underneath his arms as to reduce the already low chance of him blocking or retaliating against her.
Assuming her attack hits she will bring her left elbow down on the guys neck with full force. Whether or not it killed him or just knocked him she didn't care too deeply, he was down at that was all that mattered for now. She would turn to face his friend and bring her sword around to catch him in the back. She was mainly going for the spinal cord, a quick slash to knock him out for the fight, but chances were higher that her sword was just going to slash his back and hurt him.
If her attack knocks him out of combat she'll turn to face the other bandits daring them to come at her again. While a majority of her attention is on dealing with the little guys she'll still keep an eye on the red haired guy, who looked like he might be in a bit of trouble, but she couldn't confirm that just yet. Back several yards from where she was she could see the faint silhouettes of 2 people fighting back in the trees, though she couldn't really tell who was who from this distance.
