Thread Title: Rage Blinds All Participants: Garret & Tsukuyomi World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: A clearing, free from the rest of the surrounding forests.
Special Conditions: If thread reaches 20 posts it becomes night time. Circumstances: Garrets wandering. Tsukuyomi is doing something. I'm tired.
Yet another night. Yet another day. Yet another night. Yet another day. It was all beginning to bleed together, this constant cycle. During the day he walked, directionless and without care. He would walk, stop, rest, and prepare for the night. A never ending cycle that he had no choice but to comply too. So he walked, his instincts would tell him where to rest. His eye was glazed over with a fog, as if he was not truly here. His footsteps against the fallen leaves and twigs below, the swordsman trotted on through the woods, heading in whatever direction was straight. His cloak held to his body closely, concealing his form within. He naturally side stepped any tree in his way, his bodies natural reaction being the reason behind these movements, not some conscious design.
Garret looked like a mess. His hair had grown longer, now reaching further down the sides of his head and back of his neck. Even tying it up proved fruitless in controlling it. He needed a haircut, but where was he to get one? A beard had begun to grow as well, covering his lower face in white hairs around his lips and chin. He looked much older than he actually was now, easily passing as a forty something year old man. He just looked...tired. The stress was getting to him. The constant fighting, travelling, and the bothering of his Bakkoto were wearing out his body. His walking paused, the swordsman standing still for a moments, like a statue in the middle of the forest.
The chirping birds pulled him out of whatever trance he had been in, prompting him to look up at the sky above, getting a reading on the sun above. He sighed, noticing the dark clouds on the edge of the horizon. A storm was coming. A little rain wouldn't stop him, but it sure as hell was annoying. With a crack of his neck, the swordsman trudged forward at the same pace as before, eager to reach wherever he was going before the rain came down. Who knows, maybe it would pass?
--------------------------
Nope. Garret sat on the log, his hood drawn over his head as the rain fell heavy on him. Arms crossed beneath his cloak, he sat, thankful at the limited waterproofing of his attire, able to keep him at least a little warm. Last he checked, sunset was still a good number of hours away, so despite the fact he was being rained on he did appreciate the moment to rest himself. Closing his eye, Garret decided to rest himself a bit, to get a little bit of shut eye.
However, not even his dreams were things of peace. He was constantly tormented from within; fear, angry, hatred, misery, wrath, all jumbled together to form the broken man that he was. His dreams reflected this, constantly showing him the battlegrounds of old. His life as a human, his life as a ghost, and now his life as...whatever it was he was now. Blood stained grounds, mountains of corpses of both man and monster. He stood surrounded by them, their blood raining down atop him, coating him in their filth. A life of bloodshed, something he would never be allowed to escape from. And within those nightmares was a single corpse that stood out, one that looked at him accusingly, with betrayal on her face.
His eye shot open with a start, panic setting in for a moment followed by the release of his reiatsu around him, scaring animals out of their homes. It took him a moment to calm down, realizing it had only been another nightmare. Taking a few breaths, he happened to notice that the rain had stopped, and the sun had come back out. He blinked, wondering how long he had been asleep. Didn't really matter, did it? He pushed himself to his feet, doing his best to knock any loose water off of him, before walking through the now wet underbrush again.
As he continued forward, he came to a halt in a clearing in the forest. For a while now, Garret had been aware he was being followed. By who or what he didn't know. This was as good a spot as any to confront whoever it was. He walked forward a bit, stopping in the clear and free from any trees. "What do you want?" He asked loudly, turning around slowly to face whomever it was trailing him. It had better be something good, Garret wasn't in any mood for bullshit right now.

Tsukuyomi moved from side to side evading the strikes and swings of the other members of the seventh division. At the moment Captain Shihoin and Vice Captain Kaen were busy doing something that he hadn't been informed of and third seat Roku was more than likely with the Captain. Kimiko had known that it was going to be like this though today and because of that she had left Tsukuyomi in charge of practicing and training with the other members of the police division. It had taken him more than a year, but finally Tsukuyomi's life seemed to be doing nothing, but getting better.
He had gained his sight and grasped more of his potential as a Shinigami. On top of that he had been accepted into the Kawada family. It turned out that his mother was one of them which meant that the blood of the noble family flowed throughout his tainted veins. However, the family at the moment didn't know about him only being half of a Shinigami. He didn't know why he cared, but in truth he didn't want to lose out on the chance to have a family. So for the time being he kept quiet about it. Instead he had done his best over the last few months to train in the way that they used zanjustu and had become somewhat good at it.
Now the other members of his division weren't anything at all compared to him. He was currently taking on three of them at the same time with his zanpakuto while they each did the same together. It had been going on for little over a full minute now and now of them had been able to land even a glancing bow against him. Every swing and thrust was parried away from him and now his stern eyes seemed to intensify. In little over another moment or two Tsukuyomi slashed and was able to cut down all three of his fellow division members. However, the wounds weren't deep and only meant to symbolize that the drill was complete and he was victories.
It was then though that a member of the stealth force appeared beside Tsukuyomi in a kneeling position. "Fourth seat Tsukuyomi Kawada. I have a message from Captain Shihoin for you sir." The man spoke while he knelt in front of Tsukuyomi. The young seated officer held out his right hand the left in that same position that it was always in horizontally over his stomach held up by his uniforms top half which was only half of the way on his torso. He took a letter from the member of the stealth force and read it over taking a moment. "Alright men I've got to go for the remainder of the day you're to train with one another. If any of you slack off remember that's just you welcoming further pain and defend."
Tsukuyomi moved through the forest looking for the sign of the rogue. The message that he had received from Captain Shihoin had entailed details about a rogue hunt that was currently taking place. The hunt was actually being handled by the stealth force and members of division two. Tsukuyomi had been sent out by Kimiko due to her knowledge of the hunt taking place. While she was no longer a member of either the stealth force nor division two she had been prior and now sent her own seated officer to help out the divisions in a hunt for a rogue that was causing problems in the world of the living.
From the report that he had read it seemed that being a rogue wasn't the only reason for this hunt though. One reason or another this rogue was killing an excessive amount of hollows and that had gotten the attention of Soul Society. They thankfully were somehow able to track down where the last few battles had taken place and estimated that the rogue was going to be somewhere in this forest now. It had to be here and now there were over a hundred different Shinigami scouting through it each one ready to find the rogue and eliminate it.
It was raining right now and Tsukuyomi had been moving throughout the forest for what felt like hours. He was more surprised that this forest was so large than that there was rogue somewhere inside of it. A rogue would need to be in an area that made locating it difficult, but this was simply disorienting on how easily one could get lost. Suddenly it stopped raining and Tsukuyomi squeezed his ponytail water draining from it. Sadly his clothing would take some time before it became dry again and more comfortable. That was when he realized he could sense the reiatsu of what felt like another Shinigami.
He glanced around and after a few brief moments saw what looked to be a massive figure sitting on the log. The figure suddenly stood up and shook himself free of the water that came from the rain. It was at this point that Tsukuyomi started to think that perhaps this was the rogue and by some small margin he had actually been the one to find it. Whoever it was started to move through the woods and Tsukuyomi trailed behind them roughly fifty yards. Tsukuyomi hadn't been keeping up his stealth training and knew that if he was any closer he'd be found out immediately.
After another moment or two he wasn't in the forest anymore he had entered into what looked like some sort of meadow or valley. The grass was wet from the rain and there seemed to be no trees for awhile. It was a rather large open space. That was when the rogue or whoever it was stopped and acknowledged that Tsukuyomi was trailing behind him. He asked what he wanted in a loud tone as he turned to face the fourth seat Tsukuyomi answered. "I'm here to either apprehend you or eliminate you. The choice is up to you, but as a Shinigami I can't allow you to stay in the world of the living and keep causing problems for the balance."
Another Shinigami. Why wasn't Garret surprised? He wasn't ever surprised to see Hollows, and now he found it odd to see that he wasn't shocked to see a Shinigami staring him down. The Rogue blinked, turning fully towards the shorter Shinigami to show that he was being given all of the Rogues attention. Yet again, another one of these annoyances prattling on about the "balance". The swordsman scoffed, getting rather tired of hearing that excuse every time a Shinigami came after him. Staring down at the effeminate Shinigami, Garret rubbed his fingers through his beard a few times, chuckling as the stupidity of this situation finally hit him.
"Always about the balance. Not my damn fault Hollows keep coming after me, you know." Garret responded, reaching behind him and wrapping his fingers around the hilt of his greatsword. Taking a step forward, he was attempting to intimidate the smaller man into backing off. "So, where am I supposed to go then? Same issue no matter what world you take me to. Rukongai would just become a blood bath, though I'm sure you don't really care. If it's such a problem though, why don't you actually work on finding a cure for my affliction, or giving me a damn Zanpakuto?" The Rogue asked.
It was an actual question though. If Garret was causing such danger to the balance of souls why wasn't he just given a Zanpakuto? From Garrets limited understanding, his weapon begin able to kill Hollows wasn't exactly a good thing. The souls that were slain by this weapon couldn't move on, causing a build up of souls on the living side of the scales. But Zanpakuto apparently didn't do that. So why was Garret not given a Zanpakuto? The Rogue sighed, not understanding the idiocy of the Shinigamies system.
"So. Kill me or apprehend me, huh?" Garret asked, finally pulling his weapon free from its strap on his back. When he lifted it overhead, resting it against his shoulder, Tsukiyomi would behold a weapon unlike any in the Seireitei. It was too big to be called a sword, far too long, too heavy, and much too thick. Looking at it, it looked more like a massive slab of iron rather than a sword. It was now obvious how the swordsman had survived so long, being able to wield a weapon with that much obvious destructive power behind it meant he must have been a skilled wielder with it.
"I wonder if you can, boy. You understand that capturing me won't change anything, right? Rukongai, Seireitei, Living World, doesn't matter where. Once that sun sets, they'll be after me like hounds after a bitch in heat. Kill me and it escapes, spreading unchecked until the entire world smells like Hollow bait." Garret explained, his eye remaining locked on the other one. What he was saying was not a lie, that no matter where he went the Hollows would come.
Though the bit about his death causing the curse to spread into the world was....unproven. Azumi Kasumi'Oji hypothesized this was the case, considering how Garrets curse lingered in the areas that it was activated in, causing Hollows to still enter that area long after Garret was gone, once night fell. Garret had imagined that that "what if" was what was keeping the Shinigami from executing him, and it seemed to have worked for a time. But what about now? Perhaps fed with this information, Tsukuyomi would retreat. Maybe. Garret did want to sleep. But, the Rogue would see how this Shinigami would chose to advance.

Tsukuyomi stood watching after he had finished the first bit of dialog to the Rogue that he had somehow managed to find. In all truth it was against logic and statistics for Tsukuyomi to actually be the one to find him. However, the young half breed of a noble and loyal member of division seven knew that whether or not it was impossible it had happened and now it was up to him to bring in this Rogue. The giant of a man simply stood there for a few moments and began to stroke his beard. It appeared as if the man was doing nothing else, but pondering over something in his head.
Tsukuyomi had no idea what the man could possibly be thinking about in this situation other than the possibility of escape. That was when he began to chuckle though and all emotion other than anger and frustration left the heart of the long black haired reaper. Any sense of regret or mercy that Tsukuyomi actually held towards the Rogue was instantly gone and Tsukuyomi knew that he wouldn't have any trouble cutting down the man now if it came to that. The answer to that was answered in the next few moments though.
The Rogue started by speaking about how whenever a Shinigami confronted him it would always be about the balance. Not only that, but he spoke with what seemed to be distain for the Shinigami which made Tsukuyomi believe that there wouldn't likely be a way to simply bring this man along with him back to Soul Society. He also gave away the information that Hollows were the ones seeking him out and not the other way around. He wasn't entirely sure why such a thing would happen or how it could be explained. However, he wasn't a member of the science division so such a thing wasn't for him to ponder.
In the end he was a member of the police division and had to uphold the law of Soul Society to the best of his abilities. Right now just so happened to be one of those times. This entity was a Rogue and thus was breaking the law set out by Soul Society. Tsukuyomi couldn't see any other Shinigami entering into the valley and he knew he didn't have the luck for such a thing to really happen. That meant that he'd be forced to fight the Rogue himself while doing his best to apprehend him instead of out right killing. However, when the Rogue moved his hand backwards and then revealed his weapon Tsukuyomi knew that he was definitely at a disadvantage when it came to physical strength.
The Rogue took a step forward and as he did Tsukuyomi's gaze intensified he was becoming more and more aggravated with this man who now was intentionally trying to use his sheer size as an indicator of power. Tsukuyomi was small especially for a male and yet he knew that size accounted very rarely when it came to combat especially physical strength. His Captain was one of the physically strongest in all of Soul Society and she was small than him. So this massive mound of muscle was going to need another way to push him around.
Tsukuyomi still awaited for the man to try and come to his own senses and just abide by what Tsukuyomi had said. However, it didn't seem that way at all and now that his broadsword was drawn Tsukuyomi was pondering over the idea of simply attacking while he spoke. When he was done though Tsukuyomi felt obligated to answer. "If the follow you everywhere as you say then why aren't you in Soul Society. You claim that it doesn't matter what world you're in, but that's not the problem here. The problem is that you're killing them and making it impossible for their souls to move on. If you actually joined Soul Society you'd be able to get a zanpakuto to defend yourself while also aiding in the main goal of purifying all of them."
Tsukuyomi wasn't much for speaking to foes, but in this case he had actually a point to make. It seemed as if this individual was scared and just trying to survive however he didn't really think things through in the end. To Tsukuyomi he was doing the worst thing possible. The job as a Shinigami is to purify hollows. If this man caused hollows to hunt him then it'd only be logical to stay in Soul Society where the other Shinigami and himself could constantly kill the hollows after him. The result would be him being much safer and Soul Society's progress of purification would obviously increase as well.
What came next though was an obvious challenge and Tsukuyomi felt that no matter what there wasn't anything he could do to keep the combat between them from occurring. He knew that he'd have to be incredibly careful. Based on the size of the sword this Rogue wielded he had immense strength and would be able to cleave him in two if he wasn't at his best. So Tsukuyomi pulled his own zanpakuto from his back the entire thing covered in white bandages. The incredibly long katana held in his right hand as it suddenly unraveled and the bandages wrapped around his arm. "Fine then I guess you leave me no choice, but to bring you back on the brink of death. Set Loose The Weight of Eternity, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto."
In the next moment the long katana that Tsukuyomi held in front of him between himself and the Rogue transformed changing form as it was released into Shikai. Then held in his hand was a crescent blade of silver with a chain replacing the bandages. The shift was perfect to the point that the chain itself was wrapped around Tsukuyomi's arm just as the bandages had been prior to release. Now though Tsukuyomi suddenly concentrating his reiatsu executed the technique known as Movement to put distance between himself and the Rogue. It was then that the Rogue might see the other change to what was around the area.
When Tsukuyomi had activated Shikai his zanpakuto hadn't been the only change there had been white silver orbs that were floating around him. Now though he was moving backwards at three times his normal speed to get roughly twenty feet between himself and the Rogue. They had been only half that far apart at the beginning and now as he moved backwards the orbs moved towards the Rogue. The orbs were about the size of basketballs and all rushing towards the Rogue at a speed of 500. To the Rogue all of them would be a blur not even being able to make out what exactly they were. Tsukuyomi though twisting his crescent was controlling them and getting everything set up.
In that following moment whether or not the Rogue executed a step technique to escape the moons would be where he was standing. Tsukuyomi was waiting for some telling sign to what the Rogue was going to do. At the moment this maneuver was nothing more than a bluff. The white moons couldn't inflict any harm against a physical entity. However, the Rogue wouldn't be aware of it and wouldn't be able to tell that Tsukuyomi was controlling them with his crescent sword zanpakuto. If he did anything other than vanish though Tsukuyomi was going to execute Suisei. Throwing his zanpakuto towards the Rogue with deadly precision. Traveling at a speed of 266 with the same amount of force the Rogue would be in a dangerous situation. However, if he simply tried to evade he'd find himself blown backwards with a force of 106.
He just didn't get it. Garret eye narrowed slightly, disappointment painted on his face as he shook his head. The Shinigami refused to see it. He was hard headed, unable to actually see the picture painted in front of him. Garret had just said it too "Hollows were attracted to him". Even in the Soul Society it wouldn't have made any difference at all. "If I was in the Soul Society it wouldn't be a problem? Let me spell it out then, since you apparently can't see it. My affliction gets stronger if I remain in the same spot for too long. If I stayed in the Seireitei, it would have become over run. The Rukongai streets would run red with the citizen's blood. And your precious walls wouldn't protect you either; the Hollows would get in by following my scent." Garret explained, irritation filling his voice.
It was just a one on one fight, for now, it seemed. Garret had every reason to believe that there were more Shinigami lurking about in the area, no doubt trying to assist the fool who stood before him in hunting down the Rogue. He watched as the Shinigamis arm became ensnared in white robes, no doubt meaning that something was about to happen. His eye narrowed, the Rogue bouncing his weapon up and down a little before resting its tip onto the earth. He watched as the Shinigamis weapon began to change following the reveal of his weapons name. Wasn't releasing now a bit premature?
"You'll die trying." Garret hissed back, his eye narrowing as he watched the transformation taking place before him. The swords shape transformed, resembling a crescent moon of all things, and the bandages that a moment ago had covered the Shinigamis arm had been replaced with a chain. He blinked, looking at it as well as the spherical bodies that had suddenly appeared as well. It seems that the Shinigami was serious, at least, but was making a mistake. He was going to have to attack Garret like he was trying to kill him, not capture him.
"Black...black...a beast of blackness. Your thirst will never end."
Forcing away the voices, Garret simply prepared himself. Reiatsu being sent into his legs, he decided to simply ignore the celestial bodies that were heading for him now and begin his assault on the Shinigami. With reiatsu in his legs, Garret activated Shunpo, a 10x speed boost to a single step that could carry him quite the distance. Speeding past the bodies faster than they could move themselves, Garret appeared four feet away from Tsukuyomi, directly in front of him, and that right arm of his swinging that gargantuan blade. It was the beginning of a swing, anyways, but Garret knew that against Shinigami he'd need to go full force from the beginning. The point of stopping at four feet was so that Garrets, a six and a half foot monster, had a remaining two and a half feet of reach if Tsukuyomi simply decided to take a step back.
But at 100 speed, Garrets swing might be powerful but it would still be slow. With a lack of Energy Sensory, Tsukuyomi wouldn't know that Garret had flowed reiatsu into his arm during the step. When he had reappeared, and began to move his arm, he activated the technique Shunpo Karin, boosting his swing to a vanishing speed of 1000. Essentially, it played out rather simply but overall devastating. Garret had used a Shunpo right after Tsukuyomi had used his own Movement, not giving him the opportunity to use his sword throwy technique at all. When Garret had reappeared his sword had already begun to swing, but had vanished with the use of Shunpo Karin. If Tsukuyomi was struck by this he would, literally, be cut into two very messy pieces. But, a simple swing was never all Garret used.
His raw strength was in that swing, and as a result his sword was manipulating the air. The air both dragged and was pushed away by his weapon. If Tsukuyomi was too close when attempting a dodge, the pull of the air would drag the smaller Shinigami right along with it. Not only this, but Garret was also releasing a air blast that would devastate whatever was hit ahead of the swing, so if Tsukuyomi tried going backwards, he would be smashed by a wall of crushing air. It did not look good for the half breed, not at all. His moons being too far away to make it back in time as well.
Remaining Reiatsu: 3700 / 3900 -50 for Shunpo -150 for Shunpo Karin
