The hunger once more woke Asim from his slumber, from the sands he rose, his figure covered in black fur. The white of his mask matched the sand that was around him. How many years had it been since he had been awake? How long was he asleep buried in the deep sands of hueco mundo? These questions would have to wait till his hunger was satisfied, but not here, not in this world. The souls of the long dead didn't fill the endless hunger like that of the living and freshly deceased. Letting out a mighty roar he called out for all to hear him.
His call was one of hunger and other hollows knew this one all to well. Soon a few started to gather around waiting....all of them were waiting for the one who could open the door to the world of the living. Asim looked at each hollow who gathered nearby, all of them seemed much younger than him. Each one seemed to be driven by hunger like him, yet he was old enough to contain his impulses, for a while at the very least.
The sounds of a heavy footprints soon started to echo out, all the hollows started to tense up with anticipation, the one they were all waiting for was coming, a menos grande. These monstrous hollows were able to rip open the walls of the worlds and allow them to hunt to sate their hunger. As it slowly crept forward other hollows started to growl and claw at one another, each one wanted to be first through the garganta, but to him it didn't matter, no matter how many hollows tried to fight he would be the first one into the world of the living.
His scarabs had already started to attack the others, while they just saw him waiting silently they were wrong. He just wanted them as bait for the menos. As the lumbering beast stood above the group it roared once more opening up the garganta to all those that wanted to leave to enter the world of the living. Asim slowly stepped into it leaving behind a swarm of his scarabs to devour all those poor hollows that he cared nothing about. Their souls were too spoiled for his own taste.
Stepping into the world of the living he smelt the fresh air once more and saw something very interesting, the buildings of his world were no longer impressive given what seemed to dot the new cities of this time. Still this world seemed to have so many people all of them fresh for him to eat, but which one would be his prey? The young girls walking towards what seemed to be a school? No... No Asim wants something more filling. The man working on that sculpture? He seems strong and smart, but he is rather fat.... to greasy for Asim...No matter where he looked he couldn't find a suitable prey, that was till he saw the bleeding shingami run by.
She was young, pretty and most importantly she was hurt. Slowly he stalked her from the shadows following the blood that dripped onto the ground. Finally he caught up to her, she was in the middle of a battle with another hollow, the one that had wounded her. It charged right at her, Asim took this as his opportunity to act. Going around to the back he stood above her ontop of one of the buildings. The hollow that had tried to kill her made a mistake and was now dealing with her blade in it's head. Asim knew that now was the time to strike.
He could tell that she was tired, that she was weak from the battle and even had her guard down. In one fell swoop he jumped from the building and landed on her using his weight to pin her down to the ground. Letting out a single roar before he bit into the back of her neck. His teeth sunk in deep as he pulled away a large chunk of what was part of her body. The taste of fresh blood was too much, he couldn't hold back any longer. The lower half of his jaw opened wide as his hands dragged what was once a living shinigami into his mouth. With most of her upper body in his jaws he snapped them shut and pulled cutting the body in half. With his hunger growing with each passing second he acted more rash trying to devour his meal as quick as possible.
It was done, the shinigami was no more, not a trace of her was left, say for the blood all around him, but his scarabs would take care of that, that and most of what was around him given how quickly they were turning this place to sand. For now his hunger had calmed down enough for him to think, to plan his next action, to hunt for his next prey. Be it another shingami or even a simple human wandering this city. For now he didn't know who would catch his fancy, so he had to wait, after all a god had the right to be picky.
The local shinigami radar must be going completely crazy at this point, due to the simple fact that not only a hollow signature had shown up but they could most likely feel something coming out from a place that some of them have never seen a reading for, a gate from Hell opening up. It only took moments for the dozen of story door appear inside of the city limits, sending off a signature that the person escaping Hell really didn't care about who knew he was coming out. The area would feel much hotter, as the doors to Hell itself had just appeared in front of that area and the door would begin to creek open.
Anyone looking at the door, it would be just about anyone that could see this end of the city would see two massive skeletons that seem to hold the door shut with their arms. As the chains that held the door together broke open for a moment, a figure would walk out of blood red mist that poured out of the doorway. The creature came out of it, only coming into the pale moon light as he looked up and he knew that he was on a time limit. He only had a certain amount of time to make his mark again on the world quickly and hopefully he would find a worthy enemy to fight this time around. Kharn the Immortal was back in the Real World again.
Kharne is a monster of a... well. Monster, as he can scarcely be called a man any longer. In his armor he stands over eight feet tall—a monolith of power and strength. This colossal man is covered head to toe in bulky, thick armor that is virtually impenetrable to attack. The armor is the color of blood, and bears the scars of hundreds of battle. None have ever seen Kharne’s face, for the armor itself has become a part of him. Its face is his face, and a formidable face it is. Gleaming emerald eyes glow in the sockets of the suit, and there is a ventilation grill in place of a mouth. Golden skulls adorn the armor as macabre decorations—on the pauldrons on the cuirass, on his knees... everywhere. Mocking and leering at his foes, as if inviting his enemies to join them. Two prongs stick out from his helmet, not unlike the horns of a devil, striking high into the sky, nearly a foot above his head. He wears a number of metal chains all about himself, binding his body as though in some form of vile penance. From these chains, he hangs the skulls of those he has butchered, sending the unfortunate souls to his homeland of Hell.
This axe towers over even most humans, being nearly as tall as it's wielder, and just as deadly. This axe has seen as much blood if not more then the wielder of it, as the cloth that covers the entire shaft of the axe is the color of dried blood and gore. The head of the axe, which is as wide and tall as the torso of a grown man, seems to be three major pieces of a brass colored metal bolted together. The 'edge' of the axe, if you could call it that, looks like someone took all of the teeth out of a dragon or similarly deadly creature, and the used more metal to hold it all together to make a massive block of razor sharp teeth that look like they could rip though tank armor.
Kharn opened up his senses again, as he was only use to feeling the spiritual energy of the Hell Hounds that he had to either out run or evade using various tactics that he knew from his old days in Russia. He felt the several hundred if not thousands of spirits and souls in this area and he felt his body relax as he knew what was going to happen. This was going to be a massacre and as he started to bend his knees to jump into the air to try and climb the building to reach into an office building filled with people who worked overnight he felt something better. He felt the spiritual energy of another predator. A Hollow.
Kharn turned to that direction and instantly started to run and leap hulk style to his location, hitting the sides of buildings and using them to get to the top before running across the building tops. Kharn figured his opponent would feel him coming, because why would he not as Kharn made no attempt to hide himself from his target. Though he didn't know if this hollow had any idea what a being from Hell even felt like let alone looked like. It did not take Kharn long to reach his target standing and eating the body of what he assumed was a Shinigami. As he watched from the building top he noticed that the scarabs below this man was eating anything he left behind. Kharn didn't know where he was but he knew that scarabs did not move that quickly or have spiritual energy like that so they were not normal scarabs. Kharn thought about his method of attack for a second, at most, and he realized that he needed to see if the scarabs would go after anything or if they would protect him alone and he knew how to do that.
On this waist he carried the bodies, well half of the bodies of some residence of Hell that got in his way as he was trying to leave. He had them chained to his waist like he does often with his most recent kills and he looked at them for a moment, thinking that they were not good enough of a fight to be worth much as he threw the two corpses on both sides of the alley, equal distance from each other before leaping from the top of the building on top of his Hollow, axe drawn and ready to slice him in half from head to feet with a single blow using his full strength, gravity and the weight of the axe to help get the job done.

The sand created from his scarabs now easily wrapped all around him. For ten feet around and under him there was nothing but sand. The building that he had been standing on before was now just a part of the desert that he was creating around him. This place would now be the start of his new kingdom, a kingdom worthy of a god like himself. While there were many challenges he knew that he would have to face like gathering followers and building his palace all that would come in time.
Something caught his eye, there was a being in armor standing up above on a building that was slowly being eaten away by his scarabs. The man said nothing, as the man tossed two parts of what were bodies towards the ground his scarabs acted quickly. Their appetite was never ending, some of the hundreds of scarabs quickly engulfed the bodies and began to devour them. Before gravity could bring the bodies to hit the ground nothing was left of them, not even the bones remained.
He was angry, this man's religious sacrifice was trash, how dare he insult a god with such a pitiful offering. A low growl rumbled out from Asim before he spoke. His voice was raspy and had an echo following it. “Asim is displeased, your offering is not worthy of Asim... Scarabs will punish you.” Even as he spoke the scarabs continued to turn everything into sand. Sadly this man in armor wouldn't be something that they would avoid, actually it would be the exact opposite for the poor man they would hunt him down relentlessly.
The scarabs were going right after the man in the armor. As soon as they reached the man they would start to bite into the man's armor, ripping it to shreds as they went after the fleshy meat-bag inside. This is the fate of all that failed to prove their loyalty to him. Food for his forever growing swarm of scarabs, while they weren't strong they had numbers on their side, so many numbers that made it hard to keep track of all of them, especially given how fast they were. Some where bound to land on the man and begin to chew through his armor.
Asim himself wasn't going to stay still at all, there was no need for him to watch his scarabs turn this man into dust like the bodies, he had food to hunt and was ready to eat again. The shingami he had just eaten could only contain his hunger for so long, and that time had come, it was time to eat once more. He knew that he wasn't going to find a meal worth his time here, that man in the armor wasn't worthy of becoming his meal, he was just another thing destined to become part of his desert. So Asim had to hunt, but before he would leave his eyes glowed red and the scarabs started to convert the area around him into desert twice as fast.
Soon there would be thirty feet of desert all around Asim in all directions. Happy with this he started to walk away. This was done, yet he didn't turn his back to the armored man he wanted to see the poor man turn to dust. Watching the act of a man struggling to fight against his scarabs would be really amusing to witness. While he had seen it countless times it was always interesting to see what someone did the moment they knew that they were going to die without any chance of escaping or even harming the one who did this to them.
(OOC: Remaning reiatsu 625/700 - 75 for scarab frenzy)
Kharn looked down at his opponent, as he leaped from the top of the building. As he looked at the area around him he noticed several things at once, one that the bugs went for his bodies that he brought. That gave him the idea that they were after food, which would have made sense if as he was falling he noticed the sand was getting very dark at location, and it only seemed to get darker and the scarabs, or whatever the hell they were Kharn is not a bug scientist, went for that instead. Kharn didn't have much time to think about that before the noticed that a massive swarm was coming at him from below him.
Kharn didn't seem to mind this very much, as they were moving so fast that they most likely could not quickly change directions very quickly, due to the fact that they are moving so quickly and they are insects... they are bugs for god sakes. Kharn looked to either side of him, and he noticed how small this space was, but he used his to his advantage as he used his arms against either side of him, using his axe instead of his hand for one of them, and he used his massive strength to swing and push himself over the swarm. This did not slow down his fall, if anything it made him faster. He felt a couple of the bugs starting to dig into his legs, but he simply ignored them as he felt him prey within his reach.
Apparently his foe made no real effort to dodge or even really move out of his way, either because of ego or thinking that the scarabs would eat him alive so quickly that he would have never reached him. He was standing over sand, and Kharn was going to make that sand the color of his blood, as his axe came slamming into his shoulder. This wound most likely went from this right shoulder to his left hip, and to most people that would have ended their life right there and then. Kharn would not allow this creature to escape, as he knew that this man would try and run, he could tell that he was a coward. Kharn looked at his opponent and he knew that his enemy would most likely bleed out at this point and using that as his advantage there was no reason to stay close to his enemy as he push his way past his opponent and head directly into the city.
His enemy was weak, someone that could not fight for himself and someone that felt he was a god because he got someone else to fight for him. Lets see how well he does when he has to catch someone that was not going to give in, and this would test his bug theory. Kharn didn't waste much time to run up the walls and run though one of the windows of the near by building. If he had any control of them they would follow him and only him with his 'godly' wrath, but he had to test this theory. If he had to test his theory, and he knew that his opponent would follow him, he could not resist someone who damaged a god. Kharn didn't worry about the bugs that were in his legs anymore, mostly due to the fact that his strength crushed them under the muscle fibers, but he could feel the pain that they caused but he needed to keep moving and he forced himself though sheer force of will to keep moving.

Foolish, so foolish, Asim thought as he slowly stepped backwards farther away from where the man clad in armor was jumping down from. The scarabs were fast, much faster then what the man could of assumed , while the movement he did swinging the axe to push himself over the swarm was smart, sadly the scarabs had locked on what they wanted, the water that was contained inside of the man's body. In fact everything that held water was their target, however in this case the closest source of water was the man himself and they weren't going to let that get away with a fancy axe swing. Asim had no mercy for the foolish attempt to try to dodge his scarabs. If the man was smart he would of ran far after giving such a pitiful offering to him.
Sadly what goes up must come down this was the law of gravity and everything had to follow this law. As the man clad in armor came downwards the scarabs surrounded him. Sadly in the air there was no way for him to move away. The man would sadly be assaulted from all sides the scarabs constantly biting away at the armor the man wore. There would be no escape from his scarabs in the air. What's worse is that while the attempt to get close to Asim quickly with the jump seemed like a good idea at the time, it only meant that more scarabs would latch onto the man with ease, given that they constantly spawned from his body.
Every part of him would be engulfed in the scarabs each one biting down on him and his axe. The scarabs ripped through the normal steel of the axe without any issue. The blade of the axe soon became another part of the vast desert. As the man fell down to the ground from his high jump and swung what was left of his axe the scarabs finished turning it into sand. All that was left was an empty grip. Asim's blood wouldn't spill, given that nothing made contact with him at all. No, him stepping back constantly and watching gave him enough of a distance from the man to avoid being right in front of the man and his scarabs took care of the axe given their nature of turning things into sand no matter what it was.
Still the man landed near Asim, too close for him to like. Jumping back he hissed at the armor clad man. “How dare you get close to Asim, Foolish man bow before the god before you.” He had made some distance between him and the man with the jump. Landing his feet sank into the sand slightly as he could only imagine the pain that the man must be in given that there was thousands of scarabs crawling and biting him trying to get to the water that was inside of his body. They would crawl through any gap in the armor and start to bite at the man's flesh if they found any.

Asim's smile grew brighter and his eyes widened with glee as his scarabs slowly bit through the man's armor. However what happened next shocked him and surprised him. There was no way of knowing that when his scarabs bit down on the man's armor and ripped it away that a gate would open. From no where a giant set of doors appeared each with a massive skeleton on each door. With horror and curiosity he watched waiting to see what would happen.
The skeletal arms ripped opened the doors wide open and from there a dark portal appeared. The wind started to pick up, towards the gate. The thing was sucking everything inside of it. His eyes widened as he saw his sand and scarabs being sucked into the gate. His anger grew how dare something like this random gate suck in his tools to create his new empire, yet what he failed to notice is that the gate was rapidly sucking in the foolish man coated in armor. The man eventually was sucked into the gate and the massive doors shut closed. It was a strange sight yet it was done, the man was gone and he could focus on hunting down another worthy prey.
From the distance he heard another roar belonging to another hollow, his face held a smile as he slowly crept towards the origin of the sound. The closer he got the more strange and wondrous things he heard. From the distance he could hear the sounds of explosions happening as the hollow continued to scream out at something. There was something fighting his fellow hollow breathern and it was going to do the heavy work for him. He knew better than to raise his own hand in a fight. A god such as himself would be given things to him on a golden platter and right now what ever was fighting this hollow would be his, if it suited his tastes.
From atop a building nearby he saw what appeared as an ape like hollow roaring at a normally dressed human male. Asim licked his lips as he saw the face of the male. The man was attractive, only the best for a god like me. This male would be even more tasty than the young cute female shingami he had eaten just before dealing with the masked man, but now wasn't the time to leap in to take his prey, no he would wait and watch. Hiding he watched as the ape hollow charged towards the man, it was bleeding and looked desperate, while the man himself seemed to be rather happy. As the beast charged a plant vine rose from the ground sending rubble everywhere slashing the hollow in two. With that it was done, the ape hollow was dead.
Asim growled softly as he had hoped that the foolish ape hollow would have been able to at least damage the man a bit before it died, but just as he was about to give up on this man he saw something that made him smile. A bit of debris that had been forced up by the rose whip was coming for the man aiming for his face. The man's eyes widened in horror as he saw him unable to move out of the way in time and took it to the face. There was a gash across the man's face and blood pooled down from the cut. It quickly healed, much faster than what a human's should, but that didn't matter to Asim. What he had learned is that the man was slow, very slow and that would be his undoing.
Letting out a loud roar he jumped down to face the man, his scarabs instantly flooded out and towards the man. Asim cherished the face of fear that the man had, as he saw thousands of scarabs come right towards him. Being unable to react to them all at once he started to wildly swing the plant vine around hoping to hit something with it, but nothing worked as the few scarabs that he did hit away eventually dove back in to bite the man's flesh. In a matter of moments the man was entirely coated by scarabs ripping apart his flesh from his bone. Asim smiled as he heard squeals of agony and pleads of mercy come from the man.
Asim would grant the man mercy, the only kind of mercy a god like him could grant, a swift death and the blessing of being his meal. It would be the ultimate blessing Asim would grant to the man. Slowly he crept towards the man enjoying every cry of pain that came from the man. The screams made his mouth water as he continued to creep closer to the man. Once close he could see something that made him grin from ear to ear. The scarabs while ripping away flesh and eating it could only do so much as the man seemed to be healing back just as fast as it was being ripped away.
The amount of pain this man must have been in was unfathomable, Asim stopped for a moment wondering if he should let this continue for a while till the man blacked out from the pain. This could of worked if not for a rumble from his stomach, he was hungry and here was his food. “Asim your god... brings you mercy.” His words elongated as he hovered over the man before opening up his jaw. Leaning down his mouth covered the face of the man for a moment before he snapped them shut biting off half of the man's face. The man's body slumped and the healing stopped as his scarabs quickly turned what was left of the man's body into sand. The man's soul was quickly devoured alongside his body. Asim was now full for the moment. The sun was quickly setting and soon he knew that more hollows would come out to feast and he would be ready to pick them off after they had been weakened.
