Thread Title: The Battle of the Conflicting Heart Participants: Kisala and Harley World: Soul Society Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: The Squad Two Barracks. The training grounds are deserted with the exeption of the New lieutenant and Captain. The stars are bright and the moon is full brightening the darkness. She does not believe she is ready, or if she has what it takes to even be a good lieutenant. Maybe this discussion with her new captain will ease her mind.

Kisala wondered the dark, deserted training grounds of the squad two barracks. She could find no sleep this night no matter how hard she tried. The dark skinned Shihoin got dressed to try and work off her anxiety. Her off white hair was in it's usual mess since she did not think or care if anyone saw her. Her Zanpakuto hung at her hip in it's folded position. She quickly dawned her uniform with her new lieutenant badge and exited her room.
The Training grounds were quiet now that everyone was in bed. Kisala paced around the training grounds letting her mind dwell on what all had been going on the last few weeks. Since the end of the war, the death toll had been getting worse. Not only in the low ranks of the thirteen court guards, but higher up as well. Captains and Lieutenants alike were also killed or missing leaving heir spots vacant. She had been selected to promote all the way to Lieutenant of squad 2.
Kisala had been training for the day that she can rise through the ranks of her squad and eventually become a captain, but she didn't think that she would get there this quickly or like this. She had not earned this position. It was given to her because apparently she was the best available. What does that mean? She kept asking herself. Kisala sat down on a bench and drew her Zanpakuto. It was in it's shikai form folded to carry it easier.
The curved blade was two feet long and made of black spiritual steel. Beside the outer blade, there were three more just like it side by side. When unfolded they form a large shuriken that she can throw at her enemies. For some reason she was able to keep her Zanpakuto in it's Shikai state while most other's could not. Was that why she was promoted so early? Was she truly strong enough to lead her squad with her captain?
There was just so much pressure now for her to be right and to be strong. Now she was not only concerned with keeping her family safe, but also all of her subordinates. The stress was starting to get to her. Instead of getting relaxed and sleepy, she was getting more anxious and antsy. She put her hands on her head leaning forward. She let out a frustrated shout sure that she would not be heard. She wouldn't be able to tell if anyone was nearby anyway.

A moon lit night scroll was always something that could help the Captain to relieve some manner of stress. Whether it be filling out the necessary paper work, positioning Squad 2 members, or going behind enemy lines there was always something that had to be done. However, that was not what the new Captain had been busy with. No, far from it. With the loss of the special ops group from the Squad's control, it was time to reorganize the Squad to make it more sufficient... More deadly than it has ever been. That meant bringing in new influences that some would believe to be dangerous, treason even. But before they can change, she had to make sure that her Squad was ready to handle the level of intensity that the group will go under, along with their loyalty. Harle had to ensure it all.
After the disappearance of the late Captain, the Squad had begun to lose its influence. Harle was not Kenryoku, nor could she stand up to the fact of how he managed to gain such a reputation among the other Captains.. to be feared. Even with all that she had gone through a part of her refused to let go to that gentle part she had within her. She knew what it felt to be helpless.. to be weak and vulnerable. That was something Harle didn't want for any other to suffer. The Captain must be hard and strong, for they were the representatives of their division. And so, Harle had to portray herself accordingly. So far, the Squad 2 barracks has already begun its transformation with her own quarters, for Squad 2 wore a mask they hid their true potential, and for those that did not take them serious would fall prey to their naive thoughts.
Roof top to roof top the Captain mind wandered in circles like a dog chasing its own tail until coming across a loud cry that replaced the Captain's thoughts with an alerted concern. The shriek was close. Actually, the source of pain originated directly below, to the open courtyard that belonged to her squad. Peering down below over the ledge was a white haired woman in distress. A familiar scene that brought Harle into the past for a mere moment.. Marcus No, he wasn't in Soul Society, and that thought brought great relief to the French woman, hoping that he will not arrive for a very long time, or at least until he was ready to go. Still, she could not ignore it.
From the pitch of the scream the woman knew that the individual was female, but she had to be sure. Not a moment passed for the Shinigami to descend down onto the courtyard grounds to converse with the individual. She quickly noticed the familiar badge that hung from the woman's arm. Her white hair glistened in light as the Captain's very own tree bark hair reflected the sheen of its natural healthy brown color. The painted face of the Captain focused on the whimpering woman as she spoke softly, "Iz zer zomething wrong Madame Kisala?" It had to be her, the new Vice Captain of her Squad, Harle's successor in that rank. With new sortie among the ranks most of all the Captains had to familiarize themselves with those whom serve within their respected groups. Kisala Shihoin, a member of the Noble House of Shihoin. A relative of Okami Shihoin who procured the Head position of the special ops division that use to be part of Squad 2.
If her gaze peered up from her shaken state the awkward attire of her Captain, along with the pale white face paint would most likely stand out besides from the Captain's Haori that the French woman wore. A wide grin spread across her face as she spoke with concern for her new Lieutenant. Harle iz here if Kisala needz za help." Oh course a Captain would show concern for her subordinates, well, at least Harle would. She knew what pain could do the mind and heart, the endless possibilities that could drown Kisala in a world with no return. Marcus was probably still there even now. He needed the woman, just as Kisala needed the support of her Captain. And so, Harle willingly gave it to her, and to see where the new Vice Captain's mind dwelled in.

Kisala took a deep breath after her cry. She was still rather upset, but she had managed to get some of it out of her system. She kept her orange eyes down trying to calm herself. She did not notice the presence of her captain as she approached. She was too absorbed in her own thoughts to notice much of anything. Kisala wanted to throw her Zanpakuto, but she didn't even get the chance to start to reach for it when a voice finally got her attention.
"Iz zer zomething wrong Madame Kisala?" Kisala immediately looked up looking at her captain. She cursed the light of the moon that revealed her blush of embarrassment knowing that someone had been watching her for who know how long. She gazed at the figure of her captain. She wore the usual captain's Haori. Her face was painted white which Kisala found odd, but everyone had their own style she guessed.
"Harle iz here if Kisala needz za help." Kisala held back her automatic apology when she heard Harle say that. It was going to take a bit of getting used to to get used to Harle's accent, but it was not thick enough to make conversations difficult. Kisala took a deep breath before she addressed her captain. She was still pretty shaken up, but she thought that maybe talking it out with someone would help with that. She still didn't know any of the other lieutenants so it would be awkward trying to pour her heart out to them, but it was nice to see that he captain was willing to listen.
"My apologies captain for disturbing you. It is just..." She took another deep breath before continuing. "I have been thinking about this sudden promotion. I am grateful that everyone thinks that I can handle it, but I truly don't know if I can." She sat down on the bench putting her arms against her knees. She looked up at her captain as she continued. "I try to tell myself that everything will be fine, and that I am qualified, but I also think that I did not prove myself capable. I was just put here because it needed to be filled. Am I really capable of helping you lead an entire squad?"
Kisala looked back down at the ground. She was feeling a mixture of relief and anxiety which made Kisala question if continuing would make her feel better or worse. "Sometimes I think I am the wrong person for this squad. I am sure by know that you have heard the rumors everyone says about me behind my back." Though Kisala felt the most comfortable around the "normal" people of the squad, they seem to be more and more uncomfortable around her since her promotion. Every once in a while she would hear some of them talking about her being a lieutenant despite her lack of control of her reitsu, which is essential for the stealth based squad. "Sometimes I think they might be right."

She admired Kisala's openness and honesty. The Shihoin woman had her own concerns and they were justified. Unlike her Harle had been training rigorously to mold herself to become the next Captain of Squad 2. A sudden change in responsibilities from what she was formerly use to was a definite shock to the mind and could possibly shake a person's nerves. A sense of doubt within their own capabilities to be able to properly do the job. Kisala was at a place where the Captain had been before. Back then it was the previous Captain, Kenryoku, who had forced Harle out of her comfort zone and into the world which she had delved into. Now, it was Harle's turn to do the same for her Vice Captain.
After hearing the Vice Captain's dread Harle took several steps away out toward the vast moon lite courtyard, "Harle undiestandz where Madame Kisala iz now. Harle waz zhere too," which was the response of the French woman. Yes, she had been exactly where the Shihoin woman was. And so it would done in the same manner in which Kenryoku had done for her. "Madame Kisala, Harle believes zat Kisala doze have za potential to be a great Vice-Capitaine, and Harle will zhow Kisala." The Shihoin woman would be able to witness a rise in reiatsu as what appeared to be a secondary figure looming around the Captain's body. A faded silhouette within the beaming moonlight that dawned upon her. This was a mere reflection of the Captain's reiatsu, slowly taking shape and seething from her body like flames parting from their origin.
From such spiritual presence being emitted the Captain would lung from her five foot distance away from the Shihoin with a thrusting right hand toward her midsection. Nothing too spectacular or flashy but at the rate of 250 in speed the reiatsu that surrounded her hand appeared as though it were like a blade, honed and sharpened by her reiatsu through reiatsu manipulation. Overall it was her fighting style, working in conjunction with her own reiatsu Harle was more than capable of using her limbs as weapons to penetrate through physical defenses to attack the interior of her opponent's body. And if contact was made Kisala's would feel an invisible sword penetrating through her chest cavity and scrap against her heart. If avoided then a fist sized hole was made through the wall behind her.
A clean puncture through her target to begin their little session, a means of counseling and one special among those of Squad 2. After all, Squad 2 carried out special operations for the Soul Society. Thus, it meant going behind enemy lines, keeping secrets, sabotage, and carrying out assassinations if needed be. Their job as members of Squad 2 meant that they will have to be heartless when the situation called for it, a necessary evil if she had to put it in actual words. Her first mission with the last Captain had shown Harle that side of their Squad's operations, and now such a lesson would be passed down to Kisala, "Harle iz going to zhow Kisala zat she doze have ze power, Kisala would needz to."
Her thrusted arm leveled to her shoulder was brought down in crossing motion to her lower left to equal the elevation of her hip. The air around the Captain's right hand still retained its razor sharp edge with woman's reiatsu constantly flowing through it. Cutting through the air with said slashing motion Harle withdrew immediately after to take her fighting stance. Her main hand cocked to the right side of her face as though wielding a knife with her left foot a single step forward, Harle will teach Kisala zat she iz mo capable zen she thinks. Kisala haz to be. Squad 2 iz Kisala's new family.. Family iz everything... And failure iz nothzing."

"Harle undiestandz where Madame Kisala iz now. Harle waz zhere too." Kisala looked up at Harle watching her walk into the courtyard. Well at least she could take comfort that her captain understands at least, Kisala thought. "Madame Kisala, Harle believes zat Kisala doze have za potential to be a great Vice-Capitaine, and Harle will zhow Kisala." Kisala stood up making sure her Zanpakuto was by her side. She was confused by how Harle was going to show her her own potential. Before she could ask Kisala would soon have her answer.
Kisala saw a change come over her captain's body. Reitsu surrounded her captains body, and that could only mean one thing. Kisala tensed her muscles preparing for the attack though she hoped that it would just be a demonstration on one of the practice dummies scattered around the courtyard. Again Kisala was proven wrong by the captain's sudden leap at the young shihoin. Instinct alone kept Kisala out of reach of the captain's attack with a sudden shunpo past the captain to the middle of the courtyard. Kisala's mind was racing what was she supposed to do? She was no match against a captain.
"Harle iz going to zhow Kisala zat she doze have ze power, Kisala would needz to." Kisala watched the captain take her fighting stance. Kisala's mind finally comprehended what was going on, and Kisala knew that she had no choice but to fight. Kisala drew her Zanpakuto spinning the blades one quick revolution to allow the blades to unfold into it's shuriken form. She gripped the center of the throwing weapon tightly nervous to fight one as powerful as a captain, but she was not going to shrink away from this challenge. She had a feeling her captain wouldn't allow her to.
Harle will teach Kisala zat she iz mo capable zen she thinks. Kisala haz to be. Squad 2 iz Kisala's new family.. Family iz everything... And failure iz nothzing." Though Kisala had always been comfortable around her squad mates most of the time, it did not occur to her to think of them as family. She may have some disagreements with them, but really each of them are part of the same family. The family of squad 2. She smiled slightly pulling her right arm back and stepping forward with her left foot.
"Alright then, I will show you what I can contribute to our family." She said spinning her weapon around her hand. Two shuriken made out of the wind itself formed on either side of Kisala she pushed her left hand out and sent the two projectiles flying at her superior. Kisala thought that as long as she stayed at a distance, she would be able to hold the advantage for the moment. She was not going to let this opportunity to learn and evaluate herself go to waste.

Kisala began to move about and evaded the initial strike from the Captain. Apparently if putting the woman in the position she was more than willing to prove herself just as Harle did before. But that was not the reason she smiled, it was due to the Shihoin woman desiring to grow stronger, to further herself. That thrilled the Captain to bear witness to the resolve of her subordinates. But it wasn't Harle she had to prove herself to, it had to be Kisala herself who she had to prove she was ready. This was merely the first step toward the realization. For her to stop where she was would mean that Kisala would revert back to who she was, as well as Harle too, and for them that wasn't acceptable.
With that said the Vice Captain began her own assault starting with a pair of rotating motions cutting through the air toward the Captain. Harle had no idea what they were but the pair carried traces of reiatsu within them, meaning an attack, she wasn't going to stand idly by while they continued to advance toward her. The French woman ventured forward with a small burst of her natural speed of 200. In motion everything was perceived at a slower rate due to her overall capability in speed, which was used to enter into another quick burst of speed, 350, in order to push off the training ground floor to hurl herself over the pair whisking blades, and land on the other side of them unharmed. However, the Captain did not cease her advance on her officer's position, for she continued onward with the same rate as she did when maneuvering over her first attack.
What did surprise the Captain was the Vice Captain's ability to manipulate the wind and the appearance of the oddly shaped... Zanpakuto? What was going on? Was this a Shikai? If so, the Captain had to learn its capabilities and what it possessed. The she learned the more she would be able to understand Kisala a bit more. "Zat iz very interesting, iz zat your Zanpakuto Kisala?" the Captain inquired as she brushed past the Shihoin and treaded behind her with both hands planted on her swaying hips. Another moment passed before the Captain spun to deliver a crushing downward kick, charged with her condensed reiatsu. With the amount of force applied to the kick would definitely crush the flooring material once contact was made, could not be said the same for Kisala since she was not weak like the floor.
But the assault didn't end for once the first kick was dropped, the amount of forcing making contact to the ground would elevate the woman's body five feet into the air for her to flip forward for another downward kick, once again filled with reiatsu in her foot as it was brought down. "Pleaze do tell Harle, Kisala. Harle haz not zeen zuch a zing before." Her own excitement pierced through the pale white make up that concealed her natural skin. The pair of sapphire eyes radiating with joy as they focused on the unusual Zanpakuto. Why wouldn't she be excited about learning something new. Each and every encounter meant something new to learn and broaden her own methods of fighting until her own fighting style was perfected.
Her current abilities did allow her to slip in and out of most situations without much effort but clearly she had to learn to even the playing field with what she currently knew, or discovering a means in turning a dire situation to her favor. Harle was no tactician like most and relied heavily on skill instead of planning. Her defensive capabilities made it difficult for many to lock onto her, but from what she had encountered in the past it was not perfect, it was not good enough. She had to become better than ever before, and subdue her foes before they even knew what happened. But for now, Kisala was her objective, her family that consisted of Marcus, and Squad 2... She had to be stronger.. for their sake.

Kisala watched her captain quickly jump over the pair of large wind shuriken. They landed with a hard crash against the ground cutting deep into the earth before they vanished into the thin air in once they came. Kisala then just barely managed to keep up with her superior's speed watching her run past her. She was trying to figure out another plan, and it took her a moment to comprehend what her captain had just said to her, as she passed Kisala.
"Zat iz very interesting, iz zat your Zanpakuto Kisala?" Kisala turned to face her captain just in time for to see her winding up and dropping a powerful ax kick. Reflexes kicked in and Kisala brought up her Zanpakuto up pointing the center right at the middle of her captain's body. She would spin the shurkiken like blade causing a cyclone to erupt form it coming straight at Captain Harle. The cyclone would push her back while a dozen blades of wind inside the cyclone itself will cut at Harle, as she is being pushed back.
Kisala saw the excitement on the face of her captain before the cyclone hit. It was as clear on her face as her white make up in the pale moon light. "Pleaze do tell Harle, Kisala. Harle haz not zeen zuch a zing before." The least that Kisala could do for her captain was explain her Zanpakuto. Kisala didn't relax though. Though the curiosity for her zanpakuto may be genuine, that did not mean that Harle would not try to attack Kisala while she was in the middle of her explanation.
"Yes ma'am, this is my zanpakuto. Her name is Hariken. The full extend of her powers are still a mystery even to me, but I am trying with her and communicating with her, so I can know everything about her. She is an extension of myself and I for her." Kisala wound up and threw the shuriken over her captains head. A dome of air would quickly form three feet to all sides of the captain. Donzens of wind blades converged on her from every angle, besides below her.
Kisala smiled it seemed that she was actually gaining an advantage over her captain in this battle. If she can deal quite a bit of damage to her now, she may not be able to have the strength to use her shikai. Kisala had to be sure to bring the fight to a close before her captain can use her bankai. She never faced anyone with a bankai, but she was sure that once that was released, there was no stopping her captain.

Kisala explained to her Captain what her Zanpakuto was. A wonderful name which Harle did honestly took a liking to, and simply backed away from the woman as she spoke wonders about her partner. Apparently it was as Harle first thought. Among many Shinigami Kisala was one whose Zanpakuto was already in a released state. A rare occasion of itself it was indeed. Such a uniqueness and strength would definitely work for Kisala if she had the confidence in herself to see it, and such, to use it to its fullest potential. Something that her Captain was seeking to have her Vice Captain discover, even if force was required. Once again Harle found herself having to rekindle some from of confidence within a person. Heh, perhaps it was something about her character, her aura, that attracted her to such situations. Maybe fate.
When finished, her Vice Captain twirled the giant Shuriken in the palm of her hand before releasing her grip as it was thrown over Harle's head. She missed? No, it was meant for something else as a surge of reiatsu could be felt flowing through the weapon. The Captain knew better than to remain in place while something like that was happening. Essentially, the French woman burst forth from her spot with the blinding speed of 600, enough to leave a quick afterimage behind in her movement. Nothing too difficult for the Captain, especially with her effective skill in Hoho. It was nothing more than walking around in a park to Harle.
She was more than twice as fast as her Vice Captain, and in such Harle perceived movements at a much slower rate as long as she continued to move. So, the burst of reiatsu from Kisala's Hariken creating a dome of razor wind around her afterimage to only have it vaguely fade into the slashing wind. But Harle was not inside the wind dome, then where was she? High in the air, thirty feet to be exact. Positioned directly above Kisala. But, something else was strange. The moon lite that dawned on the two members of Squad 2 was fading. That light was being consumed by another, radiating from above. If Kisala turned to look up at the night sky she'd bear witness to her Captain's hands leveled to her hip, with both open palms directed at Kisala with a surge of reiatsu.
That same reiatsu swirled within her palms as it began to compress tightly against one another with the other particles of reiatsu. And as they combined an intense light shimmered before the Captain spoke the necessary command. From there the charged sphere was brightened further before crying out toward the Vice Captain. A column of light raced down toward Kisala nearly at the same rate that she left the afterimage behind with. What kind of Kido was this? That was the question, or not? This was no Kido, and no other would be more familiar with it than its creator, Harle. Tsukuyomi Strike, a condensed stream of reiatsu that is first gathered in the palm of Harle's hands before it is released as a devastating beam of destruction.
If Kisala managed to avoid the burst stream of destruction, she would be able to feel the intense heat that was caused by the air around the stream being warmed by the condensed reiatsu. The reiatsu based technique was a force that was enforced by the Captain's own reiatsu strength. Upon impact the beam would cause an impact crater nearly the size of a large van. Even when finished the Captain stood above an invisible floor as her voice seemed to echo. A long phrase that appeared to be a chant of some sort before its reason became clear, "Subjugate, Tsukuyomi." A sudden rise in reiatsu was unleashed as the woman's Zanpakuto that was now gripped in her main hand, remolding its shape as it was swallowed in light.
From its illumination the small blade was converted. Strands of light tore away from its body as it was separated into two individual pieces, which soon became nail like talons that gripped her finger tips. This was the physical manifestation of her Zanpakuto, and which if Kisala peered at the light she would be caught in its grip as many others have before her. Much has not been discovered about her Zanpakuto since not many have been able to decipher what it actually does. But Kisala will soon learn.

Kisala was relieved when she managed to catch her captain off guard with her first Shredding Cyclone pushing her back to gain some distance at the same time cutting her in several places. She had received a cut on her cheek, one on her shoulder, and one or two on the side of her legs. The main effect had been achieved by just getting some space between them. She smiled a bit when she saw the image of her captain caught in the dome of air.
But something was not quite right, Kisala sensed that she was not within the dome of air. She looked around quickly in search for her missing captain before looking up. She saw the moon light being eclipsed by another source of light. she saw her captain charging another attack, and Kisala knew that she had to get out of there. As the beams of reitsu came at Kisala, Kisala used shunpo again to move out of the way.
The two beams impacted the ground leaving large craters in the ground. She was definitely glad that she was able to dodge that attack. Kisala looked up at her captain and saw that the light show was not over yet. She watched her captain closely not sure what she was up to, but then she heard something that mad Kisala's stomach drop. "Subjugate, Tsukuyomi." Oh shit, this fight was going to get a whole lot tougher, Kisala thought clenching her teeth.
Kisala was not sure what her Zanpakuto was capable of, but she was not about to just sit by and let her captain dominate the fight. Kisala launched two more of the large wind shuriken right at the captain. They flew at their full speed of 500. Kisala was hoping that the light from her Zanpakuto would be enough to hide the two projectiles and score another couple of hits to the captain. It was only a matter of time at this point. Kisala had to end the fight before she released her bankai.

A basic pair of wind shuriken would surely be noticeable when in Shikai state, especially when Harle possessed the sufficient in energy sensory to track the two flying toward her. The light itself was not all that bright as Kisala imagined but even if it was it wouldn't be enough to distract Harle from what was coming. Immediately after her Tsukuyomi's release Harle followed up with one of its technique's. Her words would be called out as though she were announcing it, but why? In the eyes of her Vice Captain Harle's body would be shred apart by the pair of slicing wind, turning the woman's body from a single form into a bloody trio.
Half of her torso would be cut raggedly in a diagonal with her stomach being separated into its own segment, and her legs falling away from the other two that they were once a part of. Kisala's own sensor would detect three separate signatures as the bloody parts fell from the sky, but strangely enough, only one of the three was actually much stronger than the other two. Was it merely a lapse before the body dies, leaving no reiatsu behind in the mess that Kisala's attack had made? No. From the result of the bloody mess another light would emerge to rip the falling stomach apart. It was very distinct in its nature since Kisala had seen it before a few moments ago. It was Harle's Tsukuyomi strike once again. And the projectile was dead set on a collision course with the Shihoin woman.
Harle was still alive? But then, where was she? The body parts continued to fall with the strongest reiatsu surging from the center, vanishing before it stuck the ground. But, it reappeared behind the Vice Captain. It appeared that the Squad 2 Captain had concealed her appearance within fake corpse, but was it really a fake? If the woman paid closer attention to the ruined body parts, they will still lay their with their residue spreading from out of them. But, Harle was behind her now. A quick flash in movement and Kisala would detect Harle in front of her once again, however, physically her Captain was lashing out with a charged open palm strike, but if she were to look to where she was detecting the Captain there would be no one there.
What exactly was going on? That would be what Kyoka Suigetsu was all about. A phantom illusion that those who heard her words, when casting it out loud, would be able to see in place of Harle herself. When Kisala's wind shuriken's struck, Harle simply leaned back to avoid the pair of attacks while having her illusion take the hit. In Kisala's eyes, she would perceive that Harle had been struck and killed by the attack, thus being ripped by the slicing wind. During the fall Harle followed closely behind the pieces of the fake corpse to launch another Tsukuyomi Strike from her position. Afterwards, with quick work of an air ground to bounce off of Harle would position herself behind her Vice Captain. However, that was not the end of her attack pattern, for Harle would once again step past her Vice Captain during her strike to reposition herself back in front of Kisala, while she continued with her palm strike.
Those few moments which she was stepping around her subordinate, the corpse that was left behind would slowly fade away for Harle to position her phantom to take her place behind Kisala, commencing with that palm strike that Harle was starting with. For the senses that Kisala possessed, the illusion of Harle, thanks to her release, was an exact duplicate of her Captain. The sweet aroma that the illusion emitted, her eyes, hair, down to the smallest detail was exactly the same as Harle herself. In every aspect the illusion itself could hardly ever be mistaken as a fake, however, for Kisala's energy sensory would be able to detect a small reiatsu signature from the "fake" Harle, while another, much larger signature that remained unseen to her eyes was approaching fast directly in front of her. What would Kisala believe in?
For Harle herself, her footing was positioned away during her taloned palm strike. The Captain's skill in her footing, Hoho, was proficient enough to help her maneuver by pivoting away if necessary. After all, her speed of 600 was more than enough to help slow things down with her current senses. But that was not all, an open palm strike would surely do little to no damage, which was all the more reason why that left palm strike was actually charged with a dangerous technique, the Heavenly Flower Fist.

Kisala watched as the two shuriken flew up at her Superior for a more horrifying result than she had anticipated. She watched widened eyes her own attack cutting through the captain's flesh and bone tearing her apart into three sections. Panic swiftly overtook Kisala. She did not intend for that to happen. She didn't want to kill Captain Harle. She was so absorbed in what her eyes were telling her, that she overlooked the reitsu source she felt other than those of the corpse.
Kisala sensed a source of reitsu one that was used on her just recently. She manage to look up in time to see that same blast of energy come flying at her. She managed to use shunpo to get out of the way for the most part. The blast had still knocked her off balance. She wasn't able to get completely clear of it. She sensed that same stronger reitsu moving around. This time she noticed it while trying to figure out where that blast came from. She knew that it had to have been from her captain.
It was then that she felt a strike hit her hard on the back. She gasp in pain and surprise as she was forced to the front falling to the ground. She groaned as she struggled to get it. She folded her zanpakuto and used it to help her up mentally thanking her zanpakuto as she did so. That right there sealed it. Her captain was defiantly alive somewhere but where? Her pack was causing quite a bit of pain form the hit she took. She panted trying to focus on where the next attack would come from.

Her Vice Captain took her Heavenly Flower Fist in the back, so the amount of pain that came with its raw power will surely take effect soon. After all, upon contact her insides would certainly be scrambled if not damaged from the technique, but that was beside the point. Kisala left herself wide open upon bearing witness to the false death of her Captain. The Shihoin woman was loosing her own grip on reality and shook her focus. Luckily she snapped back to reality but not quick enough, Harle had to get her back into the game. "Kisala, pleaze remain focus. If thiz was un death battle, zen you would surely be dead by now. Thiz iz meant to ensure zat you are ready fo what iz to come." Harle was more than thrilled when she learned that Kisala wanted to improve herself, but at this rate she was going to fall behind. It was the responsibility of the Captain to make sure that each of her members were ready for anything.
Her phantom reappeared once again in front of the woman to allow her to take a breather, all the while the real Captain stood five feet behind. "Kisala, you must keep moving. You have zee power and ze ability to win. You need to be the one to realize zis." Harle was going to have to push Kisala further, to remove her from her comfort zone as the previous Captain had done to her. She could only hope that Kisala would forgive her. Once again, the phantom charged. Zipping criss-cross at 500 speed to near blur to lash out at the woman with her claws. Harle knew from experience that facing an opponent without the proper information would be deadly if charging in head first, which was all the more reason why her phantom went first. The false Captain initiated a fake ripping slash with her claws, missing the Shihoin's face, only to allow the actual Captain following closely behind to hook her talons into the woman's robes to rip them away from her torso.
In Kisala's eyes the Captain would have appeared to miss. Her senses clearly insinuating that the French woman had missed her mark, to only find that her clothes would be torn off if she had not acted quickly. However, although her natural senses spoke to her that her Captain missed, her energy sensory said otherwise, that her Captain was drawing closer even when she was no where in sight. Could it be that her senses her lying to her? "Kisala, believe in yourzelf, and uze everyzing that you have. Your senses and your abilities. Be creative." If her Vice Captain's overall power was wind, then there were many applications in using such an ability, her subordinate was really going to have to study up on her own power in order to put it to full use.
Harle had to make the first move once again. With her specialty in Hoho, her foot pivoted toward the side to circle back around at the same rate of speed without loosing her momentum. Only on the pivot itself Harle had to adjust her speed to 300 in order to prevent spraining her ankle when turning. Again, her phantom took the lead when engaging the Shihoin woman. Harle kept pace with her illusion from behind to await for Kisala to act so she could counter. The Captain could only hope that Kisala would realize her potential before Harle would have to force it out, and that could only be done when the danger itself became more intense.

"Kisala, pleaze remain focus. If thiz was un death battle, zen you would surely be dead by now. Thiz iz meant to ensure zat you are ready fo what iz to come." Kisala heard the voice of her captain as she got to her feet. Kisala knew that captain Harle was right. She would have been dead many times over if this was for real. Pain racked the young woman's body, but she managed to remain on her feet and keep herself alert.
Kisala saw the image of her captain reappear in front of her, but she did recall that it still had that small energy signature compared to the one behind it. Kisala was starting to piece it together. This was an illusion. This one that she was seeing was only a distraction, while the real one was invisible to her senses. Well that answered the question with what was going on. She still had to think of a way to deal with it. Attacking the double would do nothing. She needed to find a way to hit the larger energy source.
"Kisala, you must keep moving. You have zee power and ze ability to win. You need to be the one to realize zis." She didn't know about being able to win this fight, but she knew one thing. She was not going to just give up now because she was at a disadvantage. How was she going to face the likes of Kimiko or Okami if she could not stand a few minutes with her own captain. Kimiko folded her zanpakuto ready for the next attack. She had an idea.
Kisala saw the double run at her fast. She could sense the other energy behind her. She assumed that the other energy she was sensing was her captain. Kisala smiled as the double approached. Kisala summoned eight small shuriken around her swarming around her at full speed of five hundred. They spun in all different directions making it vary difficult for anything to get through. Not only that, but she summoned four large shuriken inside the net of smaller ones doing exactly the same thing.
"Kisala, believe in yourzelf, and uze everyzing that you have. Your senses and your abilities. Be creative." Kisala would not let Harle down. She watched her double hit the first wave of shuriken. It took two or three out of the main group, but like before it shredded the image in a mess. She felt her captain slip through her defense cutting her clothes. She needed to make it tighter. Wherever the captain would strike at, Kisala would bunch up her shuriken in that area keeping track of her with her energy sensory. She would not send them flying, but let Harle enter the whirling blender of blades as Kisala tightened them around in that direction.

Being successful at ripping away the woman's top piece away from her body was only meant to entertain the Captain's bizarre fancies. More so to tease actually. But seeing that the Shihoin woman really didn't seem to mind her current predicament the result was not what she'd expected it to be. Perhaps this was a natural response to all of the members of the Shihoin family household. Despite her tactic, she did manage to land a small blow despite its effects. Still, Harle had to push the woman further, play time was over. Seeing that Kisala's reiatsu had risen without being released, she was holding bak for something in particular. Maybe she was waiting for her Captain to close the distance?
Whether or not that was the idea, Harle had to move again, considering how Kisala's ability appeared to operate, more or less it dealt with her Zanpakuto manipulating wind. It could be that or could be that she was creating wind from her release. She really didn't know, but still something that she could use later on to her own advantage in the near future. With the Captain's current situation it would only be a matter of time before the fatigue would settle in to lessen her abilities. She had to do something fast before she lost her advantage. With her phantom taking her place to her left side, and Harle invisible to the naked eye, the pair charged in while her eyes remained focused on the gathering wind around the Vice Captain's weapon.
The two darted with double of the Shihoin's maximum speed, thus 600, around the woman to flank her left side. Harle curved in while her phantom curved a bit further out while still maintaining that five foot distance between the two. The phantom muttered something beneath her voice to release a toxic red gas from her mouth as she ran circles around the woman, and if inhaled it would have shrouded the mind in hazy thoughts, making it difficult to think. The later effects would take hold if continued consumption of the red mist was allowed. Of course, this was all fake, it wasn't real, but Kisala wouldn't know. Falling prey to her Shikai release, Kisala's mind was convinced that Harle's illusions were real, down to the last detail. Nether the gas nor the phantom were actually present, just Harle and Kisala were the only two present on the training grounds.
The phantom continued to circel around while reducing her speed down 400, allowing the gas to consume the field of vision around Kisala, while the real Harle herself drew closer to the woman, signaling for another technique to be unleashed. "Heaven's Wrath" she muttered as a blast of electricity burst forth from the Captain's body, intertwined with the reiatsu flow around her body. For her energy sensory however, it would detect a spike close by her position whether she chose to believe her sensory over what her physical senses. Harle remained out of sight while her phantom of Kyoka Suigetsu continued to circle around with the gas slowly closing distance around the woman. And with Harle's position ever so close, her specialty in Hoho, her footing, forcing her right foot forward in between Kisala's legs to lock in her position.
Her talons raised to level with Kisala's chest, hooking her right arm under and around the Shihoin's offhand, while the Captain's left hand locking gripping her Kisala's right hand. Unlike her phantom, Harle's own speed remained at 600 to close the distance quickly, and effectively position herself in such a way that would lock in Kisala's own body, but that was not all, upon contact the effects of her technique, Heaven's Wrath, would surround the Vice Captain, and entangle her body in the electric current with the same strength as the Captain's reiatsu strength. If she had not moved from her position, or simply waited for Harle's illusion to close the distance, she would find herself unable to move due to the real Harle locking in her body. Though, this was all speculation since Harle was moving in to lock her Vice Captain down. Only time would tell if Kisala would take her Captain's advice.
