Kuryami: Techniques of Darkness
As Vizards grow more adept at controlling the Hollow within them, they learn to tap into the Dark Reiatsu that makes up their inner demons. Using this energy in conjunction with their own, Vizards can unlock a new brand of techniques: Kurayami, drawn from the darkness in their souls. These techniques are often very powerful, using the Inner Hollow's energy, but they do have a requirement: any Vizard hoping to use these techniques must have their Vizard Mask active. If at any time the mask is removed, any related techniques will immediately end. Thus, these techniques are very powerful, but have a limited duration, even for the most well-trained Vizards.
Note that all of these techniques are custom, and thus are not colored.
{Class 3 Techniques}Technique Name: Kurayami: Kurohane (Darkness: Black Wing)
Technique Class: 3 - 80 TTP
Technique Type: Kurayami.
Usable By: Vizard.
Technique Element: Spirit.
Technique Cost: 300 Reiatsu/post.
Description: This technique takes a Vizard's dark spiritual energy and forms it into a pair of black wings that represents their spiritual presence. At base, they will always be five feet in length from shoulder to the wingtip. However, depending on the user's Spiritual Pressure, they will increase in length, gaining two feet in length for every 100 Spiritual Pressure they have. This does not count the bonus gained from the mask, instead using the user's base Spiritual Pressure (after type and rank bonuses, but before other bonuses) to determine the size. These wings have a durability equal to the user's current Spiritual Pressure with all bonuses, including mask, applied. They can be used defensively to block physical or spiritual strikes, though an offensive stat with superiority to the user's current Spiritual Pressure, even by one point, will immediately break through them. This technique also provides flight without air ground or any other support as long as it is active.
How to Use: First, the Vizard using this technique must have their mask active. From there, they gather their spiritual presence to them and form it into a pair of black wings, like a mantle, that can be moved with nothing but thought.
Incantation: N/A.
Drawbacks: This technique is a very durable one thanks to the mask bonuses, but it does have some limits. As with all Kurayami techniques, the user's Vizard Mask must be present. Second, this technique costs 300 Reiatsu per post to keep active. Though there is no set duration, this technique only lasts as long as the user's mask, vanishing when the mask is dismissed or wears off due to duration. Finally, should the wings be broken through even once, the user's Spiritual Pressure is immediately halved, and remains so until a period of significant rest–8 hours or more–is taken.

Technique Name: Kurayami: Kurai Kugeki (Darkness: Dark Void)
Technique Class: 3 - 80 TTP
Technique Type: Kurayami.
Usable By: Vizard.
Technique Element: Spirit.
Technique Cost: 400 Reiatsu, & 200 Reiatsu/post.
Description: One of the more documented abilities among Vizards is the use of the Hollow techniques Cero and Gran Rey Cero, enabling them to attack at a distance using masses of condensed spiritual energy. Kurai Kugeki uses the same general concept and at first, seems to be nothing more than a simple Bala in speed and size. On impact, it’s simply concussive force, and though it can be painful in the hands of a spiritually strong person, its real effect isn’t the damage done on contact: the trick is what comes after. Kurai Kugeki is infused with the user’s very spirit, and once struck, it immediately takes hold, merging the a portion of the user’s spirit with the victim and increasing the density of their soul.
When released, the user can sacrifice up to 25% of their Spiritual Pressure stat and release it into this technique. Maximum and current Reiatsu are reduced accordingly (i.e. 3000/4000 and 3500/4000 would both end up as 3000/3000). When struck, the victim gains an equal amount of Spiritual Pressure for the duration of this technique, their maximum Reiatsu increasing by the same amount although their current Reiatsu remains the same. At first, this technique seems to simply be a bonus to the victim, but in truth, it’s as much a curse for the unwary.
Once struck by Kurai Kugeki, the victim finds their Reiatsu sluggish, slow to respond, forcing additional costs in order to make use of it. After being struck, the victim has all Reiatsu costs doubled, causing them to pay more Reiatsu to force through their extra-dense spirit. That Reiatsu is absorbed by the user’s soul fragment, reducing its density by an amount equal to the amount of extra Reiatsu paid. At start, the technique’s spiritual density is equal to 10x the amount of Spiritual Pressure given; for example, if the user sacrifices 200 Spiritual Pressure, then the starting density is 2000. The victim is forced to deal with doubled costs until they have spent 2000 extra Reiatsu or the technique ends at the removal of the user’s Vizard Mask.
How to Use: The user gathers their spirit as they gather Reiatsu, releasing both in the form of a compressed Bala.
Incantation: N/A.
Drawbacks: Aside from the 400 base Reiatsu cost, which is deducted after the loss in Spiritual Pressure, this technique costs 200 Reiatsu per post to maintain. If the technique misses, the user’s Spiritual Pressure will remain reduced for one post after the use, at which point it will return to the pre-use value. If it hits, however, the user will only regain an amount of Spiritual Pressure equal to one-tenth of the remaining density at the technique’s end (i.e. if 800 density is left over, then the user will only regain 80 Spiritual Pressure). If the opponent’s highest spiritual stat is equal to or greater than the remaining density of this technique, then costs are only increased by 50%, and if it is double or higher than the remaining density, then costs are only increased by 25%.
Finally, like all Kurayami techniques, this one ends with the removal of the user’s Vizard Mask, limiting its impact to the duration of the mask. Otherwise, it ends naturally when the remaining density reaches 0.

{Class 2 Techniques}Technique Name: Kurayami: Konuragiri (Darkness: Soul Betrayal)
Technique Class: 2 - 180 TTP
Technique Type: Kurayami.
Usable By: Vizard.
Technique Element: Spirit.
Technique Cost: 600 Reiatsu, & 200 Reiatsu/post.
Description: A technique developed as a Vizard observes his own soul being controlled and manipulated by the Inner Hollow within him, he has learned to spread his own spiritual energy into another being's soul and take temporary control. Not quite the same as a puppetry technique, he instead instills a new will into the victim's soul, a will to turn on itself. This causes a form of inner turmoil that draws the victim into an internal battle with themselves, not in a literal sense but in the sense that they have to struggle to regain control of their actions. A victim suffering under this will have their limbs striking out at them with weapons, or struggling to strangle them, or many other ways to cause harm. The user does not have conscious control over how it happens, and merely plants the seed of an idea within the soul that takes root and later takes control.
When activated, this technique is dormant for two posts while the darkness is spreading in the victim's body. That means the post in which it is activated and the post after, this technique does nothing. After two posts, however, the victim begins to strike at themselves, their limbs acting of their own accord and out of the victim's conscious control. This lack of control lasts for five posts if unresisted, causing most victims to kill themselves before they can regain control if they simply let it happen. However, through effort and concentration (Strength of Will of 2 or higher), they can begin to struggle against the effects, forcing themselves into a deadlock rather than harming themselves. This does keep them immobile however, struggling internally to regain control, and as a result they are still left wide open against the user's own attacks.
How to Use: To use this technique, the user has to first have his mask active, and then build the dark Hollow Reiatsu within his body. From there, any physical or spiritual strike can release the “virus,” and two posts later the ability will take effect.
Incantation: N/A.
Drawbacks: The first drawback is the requirements for use of this technique; the use of any Kurayami abilities requires that a Vizard be wearing his mask. This technique also costs 600 Reiatsu to use, and an additional 200 Reiatsu per post to keep it active until a successful hit lands. Upon a successful hit, the virus is transferred and another hit will not trigger it again or affect another target unless the technique is used again. This technique can be resisted or fought off by having superior Spiritual Pressure or Reiatsu Strength to the user's Spiritual Pressure at any time; additionally, the power behind the technique decays over time, making it easier to break free. On the second post after activation, when the technique kicks in, it has the user's full Spiritual Pressure behind it. Every post after, it goes down by 20% of the max. (i.e. if the first post was 1000, then the second is 800, third is 600, etc). If the victim has superior Spiritual Pressure at any time, the technique immediately ends. Superior Class also reduces the initial Spiritual Pressure of the attack by 20% for each class the foe has above the user. Additionally, if the user's mask is removed or ends due to duration, this technique automatically ends.

{Class 1 Techniques}Technique Name: Kurayami: Kurotaigen (Darkness: Dark Manifest)
Technique Class: 1 - 250 TTP
Technique Type: Kurayami.
Usable By: Vizard.
Technique Element: Spirit.
Technique Cost: 600 Reiatsu, & 200 Reiatsu/post.
Description: A powerful technique, Kurotaigen takes its inspiration from the Shinigami technique Spiritual Projection. While a mastered Spiritual Projection allows one to summon a temporary form of their Zanpaktou spirit, or even Inner Hollows when used by a Vizard, Kurotaigen is a step beyond that. Not only does it manifest the user's Inner Hollow, but completely binds the Hollow to their will, allowing the user to control it without any risk of harm to themselves. Additionally, this dark figure is incredibly powerful as it inherits the user's total SP, but distributes it in a way that is more appropriate to the Hollow's fighting style. If mastered, it has a further benefit adding the bonus of a Hollow mask atop the creature's SP. In other words, this creates a powerful companion for combat, one that can have the powers of a Vizard's mask in addition to its own strength.
Kurotaigen also gives the manifested Hollow access to up to five of the user's non-Release techniques, chosen each time Kurotaigen is used. Kurotaigen or any techniques with requirements that are not met, such as a Vizard mask, cannot be gained. While the Hollow has these techniques, the user cannot access them himself, effectively splitting his combat ability with the summoned Hollow. Additionally, the Hollow has access to Shunpo—not Sonido, or any custom step techniques—without taking from the user's list of available techniques. The Inner Hollow has its own Reiatsu pool, one that is determined based on the stats distributed when this technique is learned.
When this technique is learned, the manifestation lasts for up to five posts or until the user's Vizard mask is dismissed. Until mastery, the manifested Hollow only has the user's base SP, which is distributed when this technique is learned. These stats are permanent, and can only change with SP total changes. Upon mastery, this technique lasts indefinitely as long as the user has their Vizard mask active, and the manifested Hollow's stats are doubled, as per the Vizard mask bonus. Note that the Inner Hollow shares the user's Type, and bonuses are chosen at technique creation as well, when stats are assigned.
How to Use: First, the Vizard using this technique must have their mask active. From there, they draw upon the dark Reiatsu within themselves, releasing it into a manifest form about them. The Inner Hollow, the dark creature within all Vizards, is summoned to the battlefield at this point, and can be controlled freely.
Incantation: N/A.
Drawbacks: Though this technique creates a devastatingly powerful ally, it does have its drawbacks. First, its duration can never be longer than the duration of the user's Vizard Mask, meaning that this has a very limited potential for use throughout threads. Second, there is great risk in using this technique; if the Inner Hollow is defeated by dealing an incapacitating wound, one that would normally kill it, the manifestation is dispersed. However, the true penalty comes to the Vizard, who cannot access his mask or Release until a period of significant rest (8+ hours) is taken, as the Inner Hollow powers both. Finally, this comes with a cost of 300 Reiatsu per post.
