I've been thinking about this for a while. Like, a long-ish while. What does Crafting/Forging actually do? Certainly it lets you make more stuff, but, what's to stop someone from just having someone else make it? I mean, what does Crafting/Forging do, site wise? One of the things I thought up could be that, if you don't have Crafting/Forging, custom items you make would have a sort of 'fee' to them, on top of what they already cost. Like a crafting fee. That'd represent someone else making the item for you, and that 'portion' of the money spent would go to them, increasing the cost of the item because you didn't make it yourself. If you had Crafting/Forging, you could make items without that fee attached to it, or something, and you'd be able to make better and better things. If you had a high enough Crafting/Forging, I'd think you would also be able to lessen the cost of items, due to how well you know how to make things, and such.
I dunno, it just seems like Crafting/Forging doesn't do anything at the moment.
Thoughts?

Well to an extent, it's the same as it is with other games, MMOs, etc. If you level a skill, you gain the ability to craft and create items yourself. You still have to pay a set fee, but that's determined solely by the item. With someone else crafting them, they have the free choice to raise prices higher for more profit, since they're the ones doing work. They can also put requirements on the purchase of items, restrict one from buying them, etc.
Basically, being a crafter/forger means you get to play B:OW's economy.
