Circumstances: Having fully physically and spiritually recovered not only from his victory over Segunda Espada, Kuroi Naito, and his part in the invasion of the Vandenreich, Sozen Kuchiki has immediately taken to yet another ambitious task. He has invaded Hueco Mundo itself, in mockery almost of Kuroi Naito's invasions of the Seireitei. And, in defiance of Sozen Kuchiki's attack, Sonken Kouhai has sent out not Kuroi, but his greatest Arrancar soldier: The Primera Espada, Adalo De-Mona.

WHHHHHHRRRRRR! The pressure was enormous. So enormous, in fact, that to Sozen it emanated a constant whirring, buzzing sound in his ears. Well, they had described Kuroi's reiatsu like that too. Like being cast beneath a malevolent ocean of pressure. And that was true, too. Against the Segunda, Sozen had experienced the sensation of his ears popping and his eardrums ringing. Every bone in his body had ached, and he had felt a tight constriction of his joints, as well as a creaking in his body that could accumulate only against a truly powerful opponent. So, to feel this new pressure shouldn't have been a surprise, but regardless it still was, of course.

He certainly has a strong presence... This will be difficult... Sozen thought with a smile. He stood at the very entrance to Las Noches itself, with clear skies and a crescent moon shining white light over him, and illuminating the cold sand. He had come to invade and attack Las Noches. It wasn't much different from what Kuroi did to the Seireitei, regularly appearing and attacking. Usually, the Seireitei sensed powerful reiatsu and dispatched some Soul Reapers, and Kuroi dealt with them. As time came to pass, stronger and stronger Soul Reapers, such as Captains, had come to try and defeat Kuroi, and they had all failed when he had invaded. So now it was Sozen's turn, this time bringing the fight to Sonken Kouhai's doorstep.

But Kouhai hadn't held any punches. He had sent out his very best Arrancar soldier. As soon as those enormous doors opened, and a lone figure stepped out, the Kuchiki Head became overwhelmed by the immense pressure that he was feeling. It wasn't the same as Kuroi's, which was just pressure overhead. This one was pressure from all directions, like powerful currents battling for supremacy. Sozen felt as if his stomach was twisted in knots. He felt terrified, awed, and belittled all at once. Something made him instinctively fear and want to get away from the opponent that was walking toward him now. Especially once he saw the number on his opponent's hand...

1. The Primera. This guy... Sozen thought. He was a rank above Kuroi. That must mean that he was the famed Adalo De-Mona, who had facilitated and aided in the betrayal of Soul Society for Las Noches by Takashi Kuchiki. Looking around, Sozen could see the Seki Seki walls which now surrounded Las Noches, and he had to say, they looked a lot better surrounding the Seireitei. They just looked out of place here. Well, maybe that didn't matter just yet... He hadn't actually come to take the walls back. He had come to deal a blow to Las Noches by defeating or killing someone of vital importance to their war abilities. And he had been rewarded with Adalo De-Mona.

Watch out, Sozen... Aka, his Zanpakuto spirit, warned. He's different from the Segunda... I've never experienced anything like this before... Sozen knew what she was talking about. This guy was at least as strong as Kuroi, and he might even be stronger. It was all that Sozen could do to keep his knees from shaking while he watched his approaching opponent. The ground seemed to shake. Every individual grain of sand seemed to recoil as Adalo neared it. Even the landscape seemed to be afraid of the Primera. Actually, there were no real battle records involving the Primera. Sozen might very well be the first Captain to fight Adalo De-Mona like this.

The Primera finally got within ear shot, and within a distance wherein he and Sozen could gaze at one another in the eye. Sozen would have introduced himself, but somehow he felt as if this would be wasted on the Primera Espada. As if Adalo didn't really care. And, let's be real. Adalo probably really didn't. But, as soon as Adalo was within earshot, Sozen still spoke with a large smile. "How strange that I am now being met with Sonken Kouhai's greatest soldier," Sozen said. "Once, I lay beaten mercilessly by Kuroi, for whom I was no match. How things have changed... I suspect I am now even stronger than you are, and that after I defeat you, you will deliver a message to Sonken Kouhai..."

Sozen was confident, because even though Adalo was strong, so too was the Kuchiki Head. Sozen Kuchiki had lost once, and was not planning on losing again. Instead, he was going top push all the way and defeat Adalo. Since fighting Kuroi a second time, Sozen had been training. He had been training since before Kuroi too, but hadn't perfected his new technique until now. At last, he would be able to show it off. He would be able to show off that, in fact, he had grown even stronger since his fight with Kuroi. So, Sozen looked at Adalo, and proclaimed his message. "After I'm through with you, he's next... I'm going to take my cute little protege's head not long from now." And Sozen smiled a grisly smile.

despair demands revenge! ↡ i want death's symphony ▼ A heavyset fog had descended upon the white dome. Eden's counterpart in darkness, the dome had served as the place of true despair for spirits for generations. Part of that was that there was no weather, and only a night sky, a cold desert, and the lunar mockery in the sky. Yet the unchanging weather had come to represent calm in a mocking existence which was only anarchy. The moon in the sky became synonymous with comfort, and Hollows under it took comfort in the knowledge that the sky in its infinite objectivity would never serve as their Judas, and the only aggressors they would encounter were other Hollows. Alas, they were off the mark today. A new breed of fear must have arisen that day, when the Primera stepped out of the white dome and began to walk toward Sozen Kuchiki. Fog rolled out of the dome and started to fill the area, obscuring the vision of both combatants in the solemn white of a haze so thick it could almost be cut by a knife and eaten. Contrary to how many feared the rolling thunder and the lightning, fog was the weather for which one should be most fearful, for the fog obscured all things, and even in a world which was not dark, prevented light from escaping. As all men know, it is what people do not see and do not understand that they most fear. The fog, which obscures all things, takes away sight from men, and so gives them fear. This fog, unusual for Las Noches, and which came from Adalo's reiatsu presence, was scary not only to foreigners, but even more so for locals and inhabitants who knew from experience how unnatural the fog was. For his first time seeing the face of the Kuchiki Head, the Arrancar King's smile lit up. "You... Are a true brother of mine..." Adalo said. "I can see it in your eyes. You lust after it... You ache for it... You want to kill... And spill blood... And your heart is consumed by a passionate darkness that no one else can understand." Adalo took another step forward. His empty gaze which had only his desire and nothing else fell on the red eyes of his newly found equal and brother, who had transcended despair and come to the stage of revenge. For a moment impossibly long, and a heartbeat hopelessly drawn out for a single note, Adalo's eyes were locked on Sozen's, and then he finished his sentence. "No one... EXCEPT FOR ME..." The Arrancar King laughed. I know him... Yes we do, yes we do... The Crimson King. What is that in his soul? There's more than his Zanpakuto spirit. There's yet another darkness inside of him. Beyond Aka, there is Omoni. For beyond Omoni, there is the real Sozen Kuchiki. The one that only I know. The intimate one that I am acquainted with and that we love. We are his only true companion. His brother. His only true equal. I hear the sweet music in his soul, that symphony of death. We love that sound. We can hear it... We know he's conflicted over what he is going to become. He's tortured by a different side of himself. By the dark side of himself, which is the real Sozen Kuchiki. Not just the Kuchiki Head. The Crimson King. The man that WILL BECOME OUR NEW HOST. For Adalo De-Mona understands Sozen Kuchiki. Sozen Kuchiki had started with love for his family, and come too quick to realize that he was too weak to protect it. Left in despair, he had grown stronger, but not quickly enough. To overcome his weaknesses, he had entrenched his soul in the deepest of black pits, and become an entity of blood lust and darkness himself. This was for the purpose which followed after despair, always, in the end. To become stronger, Sozen Kuchiki had become more like his opponents, and had become what some might call evil, all for the sake of that which followed after despair, always, in the end. Sozen wasn't angry about being compared to Adalo. He should be, but he wasn't. It's not every day that you're compared to what you despise most in all the three worlds, but for some reason, Sozen felt too good today to really care. Miraculously restoring the Garganta technology sabotaged years ago? Check. Preparing to take down the strongest of all Espada, who outranked even Kuroi, who once had beaten Sozen into the ground? Check. Lots of things were going Sozen Kuchiki's way today... and the Kuchiki Head wasn't going to let this opportunity pass him by. He had been through many battles to get here... Evolved a great deal... And maybe Adalo truly did understand that... But it didn't change the outcome of this fight.

"I guess we don't need any further words, then..." Sozen said.

{KUROKO NO BASKET MUSIC}

WHOOSH! Sozen was off. Top speed, no questions asked. He was significantly faster than Adalo was, and the blur that Sozen suddenly turned into would be so overwhelming that Adalo would probably physically lose track of the man that called himself the Crimson King. It wasn't just Sozen's top speed, either. Sozen literally disappeared. That was the power of a flash step. Sand flew up as wind darted around. Adalo might feel a slight breeze nearby his left side, coming from an angle, but that was it. Sozen hadn't attacked with the first step. It was a clever offensive ploy. One which Adalo was about to fall victim to in a heartbeat.

Sozen's sword was already drawn glimmering beautifully in the moonlight. The Kuchiki Head could see it. He could see everything that he needed to do in order to fight against Adalo De-Mona. Sozen wasn't rushing, but he wanted an early hit. Like with Kuroi, the fight would surely come down to whoever could score the first real damage. And Sozen, who had taken his time with Kuroi, was now confident in his ability to face down Adalo. The opening move would be something that Sozen hadn't considered using before for an opening move. After all, it was very costly to do it. However... There was nothing wrong with being costly if one felt guaranteed victory.

Sozen's flash step had taken him past the Primera, to appear behind his opponent. And then, from there, another subsequent flash step made him appear in front of Adalo, and three more changed his angle around Adalo, ending at a sort of leftward front diagonal. With each movement, however, Sozen's sword had been moving too, getting closer. With his speed and his blurring, Sozen would be able to outpace Adalo very quickly. Adalo wouldn't be able to keep track of Sozen's movements, nor keep up well enough to even try and dodge them. Blocking might be possible, if Adalo was skilled and lucky. But, Sozen was even more skilled and even more lucky.

As it was, Sozen's blade was aimed at Adalo's eye, in a stabbing motion. Sozen would appear out of his flash step with his blade moving as a blur toward the Primera's eye ball. Because Adalo was so outmatched in speed, he would find that countering was very difficult. That wasn't all, either. As soon as the attack was over, Sozen withdrew his blade, regardless of outcome, and, pivoting as he pressed his fit into the ground, preparing almost to lift off, Sozen then transitioned into his next attack of slashing at Adalo's chest. But, the slash wasn't all that was coming. Sozen's left arm was raised, and his right arm crossed over his left as he slashed, so that instead of a slash... The next move.

Sozen blasted forward against Adalo with Shukuchi-Ho, slamming full force into the Primera. His blade dug nice and deep in between the two of them, drawing even a little blood from Sozen himself. That blood, if Adalo allowed a significantly faster, 2100 speed Sozen to slam into him, would also smear on Adalo. That was the most important part. Adalo was in danger of several different attacks, which was what mattered here. Sozen wasn't foolish. He hadn't just gone full speed for the hell of it. He had used his speed advantage to play down Adalo and create a masterpiece of an attack. Steps one and two initiated... Now waiting on steps three, four, and five.

Sozen's Remaining Reiatsu: 2750/3000 Reiatsu

Adalo was a ghoul. Adalo was a ghoul, and many other things. Adalo was a ghoul, and many other terrifying things. The Arrancar King. His gaze his under your stairs. His fingers were the shivers of your spine. The Arrancar King. His laugh was the bell toll that decrees midnight. His embrace was death, but anything but the sweet merciful release. The Arrancar King. Say it once. Say it twice. Be filled with impotence. Be filled with impotence, and know your own insignificance. Because I see all that hurts you... Because we are all that you fear... Because in your heart there is only despair and revenge now. In your heart, there is room for nothing else. You think no longer of your family, or of your friends, or of you acquaintances, or of your lover, or of your daughter, or of any if your future grand children. You think only of us. Of ADALO DE-MONA.

Adalo understood Sozen. The Arrancar King knew all about the Crimson King. The Arrancar King knew all about the Crimson King, including his fears. His fears, which could be smelled like hot cookies. The despair of being too weak to protect his family. The darkness that consumed his soul as a drawback to achieving new power. This was why Sozen Kuchiki was perfect. Sozen Kuchiki fit. Sozen Kuchiki fit into Adalo's need for someone once truly good, now corrupted by the world. For one day Sozen Kuchiki would cease to be Sozen Kuchiki. He would instead be what all men and women feared. For one day, Sozen Kuchiki would cease to be Sozen Kuchiki, and would be ADALO DE-MONA.

That was why Adalo understood what Sozen wanted most. A hug? Yes, a hug. Sozen wanted a hug. Sozen wanted a hug to tell him all would be okay... So the Arrancar King reached out. The Arrancar King reached out to hug the Kuchiki Head who wanted only love. Because Adalo did not respond to actions. He responded to the heart. Adalo opened his arms before Sozen Kuchiki even took off. Sozen was faster, so he appeared in front of Adalo and stabbed before Adalo was done moving. Those steps were fast. But Adalo was almost done when Sozen stabbed. Adalo was almost done when Sozen stabbed, and that was what mattered. Sozen's blade flashed glinted shined and hit the Arrancar King in the eye. It hit the Arrancar King in the eye, where it snapped the blade in half on impact.

Hierro Ultima. Adalo's Hierro that combined strength and Reiatsu strength, and blocked internal and external damage, and covered all of him. Hierro Ultima, which destroyed Sozen's Zanpakuto. Then Adalo's hug completed, and Sozen, who retracted and had let Adalo's slow hug come to fruition, would be caught as he tried to use Shukuchi Ho to move forward. Suddenly, Sozen hit an immovable wall. Even placing his blade between them did no good. And now Sozen was held tightly in Adalo's arms. The Arrancar King grinned. The Arrancar King grinned and started to squeeze and crush Sozen Kuchiki. How tragic, that this fight could end so early and so easily. If Sozen did not escape, then the fight was already over.

As arms closed around Sozen, he couldn't help but smile. You'd think that with arms closing around him, the Kuchiki Head wouldn't be smiling, especially at Adalo's physical strength levels, and the situation that Sozen had just found himself in. Sozen HAD, after all, read up on the Primera's file. So powerful a presence that he could subjugate multiple Captains. Send single handedly to collect Takashi Kuchiki by Las Noches and Sonken Kouhai, and once responsible for the absolute defeat of Squad 10's Okusa Shogen, one of the strongest Captains ever to live. Adalo was a real monster, and anyone who didn't recognize that was a damned fool, and doomed to die against him.

Sozen shouldn't have any means of happiness at this situation. Adalo had been evaluated to possess enormous physical strength, and the shocking fact that his Hierro had shattered even Sozen's sword was astounding. Sozen's sword, which had been able to cut even the mighty Segunda, had failed when pressed against the man who called himself the ghoulish Arrancar King. Even with merely a one number difference, the gap between the bodies that Sozen tried to cut into was like night and day. Kuroi had feared Sozen's blade, because it had had the means of ending things in a single stroke. Adalo had allowed himself to be struck dead in the eye, and had come out unharmed, unfettered, Sozen's blade shattered.

And yet still, the Crimson King smiled, for the mighty Primera had fallen into his trap. It wasn't often that one could say an Espada of Adalo De-Mona's caliber was trapped by the likes of Sozen Kuchiki, but here it was. As Sozen was grabbed by Adalo, his blade burst into blue flames and disappeared, and Sozen's body was eaten up by a dark red reiatsu with a sinister aura. It wasn't on the level of Adalo's, but it was no paling threat either. In fact, it was the means by which Adalo De-Mona was about to be defeated by Sozen. The blue flames parted to give way to Sozen, who wore a red mask not unlike a Hollow's, and had red metal claws, each a few inches long, on all of his finger nails.

And as this appearance formed, so too did Sozen's attack.

One of Sozen's claws instantaneously, even before the transformation was even fully complete or revealed, exploded into the ground. Instantaneously, it struck downward, and as Adalo's arms, still slow by all means, were just closing, Sozen was launched upwards. With his amazing ability to analyze battle, Sozen had seen his blade break, though this had hardly been unexpected, and in fact had been part of his calculations after gauging the Primera, by demeanor alone, to be someone who preferred direct confrontation. The Primera's ability to block Sozen had been expected. Though breaking his blade was far beyond what Sozen had anticipated, it didn't alter his battle plans at all.

Sozen, seeing his blade break, and Adalo's arms closing in as his attacks failed, knew that he had to escape and do damage at the same time. Adalo had underestimated him for just a single instant, and there was no reason not to make the Primera pay for underestimating the Kuchiki Head. It was the only opportunity Sozen would get to make long lasting damage without a heavy struggle. So, activating Soulbind, Sozen released a blade from his claw, which extended instantaneously, and hit the ground, burying into it. A small red patch of grass that it hit turned red and the claw turned gray, but that was irrelevant. It was Sozen transferring red into the grass. And, more importantly, it was Sozen escaping.

The blade pushed him upwards. Far upwards. Out of range from Adalo's hug, as Sozen was propelled up high and into the air and away from the Primera. But, that wasn't all. Adalo, completing his hug, and who had made no advance preparations, had made a tactical error. Allowing Sozen to get that close just because Adalo was a physical specialist did not mean the Primera would win the encounter. From the red grass, within a nanosecond, there extended as an extension of Sozen's will yet another blade, risen from the red, straight at Adalo's chest. If it hit, Adalo might be in trouble. But could he really dodge it? Or even block it? It was fast. Very, very fast. Much too fast for Adalo to do very much against it.

At that point, Sozen was going to do some real serious damage to the proclaimed ghoulish Arrancar King. Sonken Kouhai's greatest soldier may be powerful... But he hadn't struggled the way that Sozen had. Having overcome enemies such as Baal, Caesar, Schultz, and even Kuroi, Sozen felt that he would win absolutely. It doesn't matter what you do here... No one can stop me now! Sozen thought to himself as his blade struck out at Adalo. And, who knows? Maybe, just maybe, Sozen was right. Anyway, this fight was one for the record books. Someone somewhere would talk about it one day like a myth anyway. They might as well say good things, since the speaker would likely be from Soul Society.

THE GREATEST DESPAIR BRINGS THE HARDEST REVENGE

Don't worry, beautiful people of the ugly world. Adalo knew Sozen Kuchiki. The Arrancar King could analyze battle with an expert tactician's mind, and could focus on combatants with the precision of an archer on a bulls-eye. The Primera had come equipped as well with a powerful sensory ability which could read the dark heart of all sinners with whom he made contact. Adalo could see what would hurt people most to say or to do. He knew them fundamentally as their darkest selves. So, don't worry, beautiful people of the ugly world. When it came time for Adalo to counterattack, it wasn't a counterattack. Beautiful people of the ugly world, why do you doubt? It was a well planned strategy made by more than a lunatic. It was made by a master tactician. A therapist who looked at Sozen Kuchiki and knew what was coming and what to do.

Adalo's hug culminated in a single efficient counter. Adalo's hug culminated in a single efficient counter to what Sozen must have thought was a brilliant move. As the Primera's arms closed, the right palm came up into the left, and the arm held against Adalo's torso. The left arm came over the right arm, with the right hand still on the left arm. Don't worry, beautiful people of the ugly world. It was beautiful. Yes... It was beautiful. It was beautiful when Adalo's arms came together in an empty and lonely hug. When it happened, Adalo's left arm developed glowing light. When it happened, Adalo's left arm developed glowing light of a violet hue, and his hand stuck out in front, facing downward only a hair. Facing downward only a hair was enough for what the Primera expected.

A blade appeared from the grass. A blade appeared from the grass, going for Adalo's chest, but on the way up, with Adalo's left hand already in the way, it would be blocked by the hand. It would be blocked by the hand, and enveloped, for on the hand was created a small marble void of the deepest black, as if a penetration in the void to create infinite driftlessness had formed for all of the beautiful people of the ugly world. The technique that had been used on Adalo's arm was called Partial Ressureccion, and it created a state of partial release in the Primera's arm, allowing use of techniques with that arm alone with a suspended reiatsu cost. The technique that had appeared in his hand, and been hit by the sword, was called Cero Gravita, which was a close range, all-consuming vortex of gravity and absorption of energy.

Don't worry, beautiful people of the ugly world. This was fate. This was fate, and this was DESTINY. The blade was connected to the red grass by physical touch, from coming out of it, and the red grass was connected to the blade that was connected to Sozen, also by touch. And the blade that was connected to the grass was connected to Sozen Kuchiki's claw, which was connected to Sozen Kuchiki's finger as an extension of his hand, like a fingernail. And the blade that was connected to Sozen Kuchiki's finger as an extension of his hand, like a fingernail, was connected to his arm by right of the finger being connected to the arm. A beautiful connection ensued... A beautiful and organized chaos. Harmony thrown out the window for the sake of art!!!! How truly wonderful...

At once, because of the effect of Cero Gravita, the blade that attacked Adalo initially was pulled into the Cero Gravita, which was a miniature black hole. Touching it was touching the event horizon. It was small, however it was like the embrace of Adalo himself. It was inescapable. The blade was drawn in, and so was anything connecting. The grass with the red was connected, and the blade that Sozen moved off of was connected...and Sozen's fingernail was connected, and so was his finger, and so was Sozen Kuchiki's precious arm. Cero Gravita was a black hole, and once the event horizon of physical touch was crossed, the effect wasn't just a slow, dawning horror. It was an instantaneous effect after which the phenomenon that psychologists call mortal terror appeared in Adalo's patient.

In less than a second, Sozen Kuchiki's arm was torn off of his body with splatters of that blood of his that bore with it his precious color of red. With a cackle of glee and joy, the Primera accepted this gift of the Head of the Kuchiki Family, taking it with a big white smile on a big white face. The blade was going to be eaten... EATEN. And the finger was going to be eaten... EATEN. And the arm was going to be eaten... EATEN. And soon... they were all eaten. Not just soon. In less than a second. In a moment which was too fast to even be called instantaneous. In a real black hole, it would have appeared that time stopped moving, and they would have appeared frozen near Adalo's Cero Gravita. However this wasn't a real black hole, only a powerful replica. And now, with that, the Kuchiki would lose an arm to the embrace of the Arrancar King....

What is that? Blackness. A small marble that felt and looked something like a Cero. A void as deep as the Primera's soul, enveloping all that came into its path. A Cero that, as it touched Sozen's blade to defend, pulled it in. Sozen's situational awareness and his reaction times were good. Even he couldn't have expected this... unless he had already known what it was. As a Captain, he had that option. Reading the reports of the fights of other Captains. Documents which even Lieutenants had no access to. The Kuchiki could access anything in the way of information and documentation. Sozen's frame of reference was limitless.

"Just kidding..." Sozen found time to mumble. "I've been waiting for your black hole Cero, Adalo." Yes, because it had already been used against the Soul Society before. When Adalo De-Mona had clashed with infamous Squad 10 Captain Okusa Shogen, this Cero had been in use to level the playing field before the Squad 10 Captain's tremendous offensive power. Sozen had not only expected the use of this technique, but he had desired it. He had facilitated it. Cero Gravita was a technique that would help Sozen's cause. The entire set-up was a powerful sting strategy. Two things happened at the same time.

First, Sozen's arm started to glow a deep red as it was torn off. Cracks of glowing red appeared on it, and in an instantaneous moment, it was pulled off of his body, toward Adalo. And on the way to the Primera's Cero Gravita, a blade erupted out of the arm, striking just above Cero Gravita, instantaneously upon an instantaneous absorption. This wasn't in fact reaction speed, but planning in advance. Sozen had calculated this exact, perfect attack. The blade would hit, and what it would create was a red shirt. Adalo's shirt, turned red, would give way to a blade toward his belly button, which would also turn red, to produce a blade inside of Adalo.

This was Sozen's plan, because in Soulbind, he had an incredible ability. He could create Kido spells from his blades! Sozen was limited in Soulbind by only being able to manipulate red that he created, but the tradeoff was the faster blade release, and the Kido spells from his blades. The arm, just a nanosecond before entering the black hole of Cero Gravita, suddenly disintegrated and dissolved into ashes which were absorbed instead. That was what the red cracks on the arm and the blade reaching inside of Adalo had been a set-up for. A powerful spell would now be made way for by the Kuchiki Captain.

Sozen had honestly expected the blade to stab into Adalo's organs too, only to find that it too was stopped inside of the Primera--indicative of how powerful that unique Hierro truly was. Now, of course, it didn't even matter. Because the arm that Sozen had lost had turned to ashes. The attack that Adalo had used as a defense was about to be his undoing. For that red cracking on Sozen's now ash arm was the prerequisite for a powerful technique known to virtually all existing Soul Reapers as what was likely the single strongest Kido spell that one could cast below the 100 level: Itto Kaso.

And there it erupted, in all its glory. From the blade within the Primera, at the tip, there cast a devastating spell. Inside of Adalo, a powerful knife blade the size of a skyscraper appeared, made from burning red reiatsu. A powerful spell valued at three times Sozen's reiatsu strength, it was enough to overpower the entirety of Adalo's Hierro, and it was enough to incinerate the Primera from the inside out, all in an instant every bit as fast as the Cero Gravita's pull had been. Maybe even more. Because Sozen was the strongest Captain in the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. And Las Noches was well past its prime.

At the end of this brutal, savage strategy by Sozen--a terribly intricate style of fighting--there should be absolutely nothing left. All that would remain now was a huge tower of burning reiatsu and of fire, glowing with the signature color of the Kuchiki Captain. This would be visible for miles around Hueco Mundo, and all of Las Noches would now see the beacon of Soul Society's unbeatable power. When the spell faded, there should be nothing left at all of the once Arrancar King. Of hundreds of thousands of souls of vengeance, what would remain was nothing more pitiful than incendiary ashes.

HAHAHAHA! Don't you know...? Haven't you already realized the awful fucking truth? I know you... I know everything. Because of my energy sensory, I can see the darkness in your heart... I can see how best to hurt you... And I can see what makes your darkness tick, too... I can feel it... I can see images of you killing me in your mind, and I can feel your spiritual energies building up to try to do it... And that... That's why I'm going to be the one to win in the end. Because no matter how hard you try, through all the cold smiles and the charisma and your coy manipulations, you're still helpless before your own inner turmoil. And god, that makes me so fucking wet. I want to see you writhing in agony, Sozen Kuchiki.

And just as once the Segunda had emerged out of the flames of Sozen's attack unscathed, now again the Primera would do the very same. That very same Cero Gravita which had allowed Adalo to take Sozen's arm was now what would doom the Crimson King's attacks. That very same Cero Gravita would now doom Sozen's Itto Kaso. For Adalo could sense the build-up of reiatsu, and see in the darkness of Sozen's heart what form his killing intent would take. And then, knowing this, Adalo pulled his hand away and shoved it into his own body, digging fingers around his belly button. Blood, nice and red blood, started to pool all over Adalo's hand and arm. But his Cero Gravita had not dissipated. But his Cero Gravita was still strong. Even until that most sacrilegious moment when the Itto Kaso formed.

And it did nothing. The flames never escaped Adalo De-Mona's body. The flames never escaped Adalo De-Mona's body, because they never even formed. Adalo's red belly button had been absorbed by Cero Gravita, taking with it the part of Adalo's flesh which was red, and with it Sozen's blade with which to cast Itto Kaso. All that would be left was steam emitting from a hole in Adalo's body left by his own twisted machinations. With it, Sozen had lost his opportunity to cast Itto Kaso. The Primera pulled his hand from his body as the Cero Gravita disappeared, Adalo ripped off his shirt to expose his muscular body, and he began to walk toward Sozen Kuchiki with a gleeful praise in his eyes for the man that was Captain of the legendary sixth division and Head of the mythical Kuchiki Family... and master of the most twisted of all darkness. Yes... Sozen was perfect... He would be the vessel for Adalo's madness...

Bzzzz... Bzzz... Adalo started to pick up his pace and gain on Sozen's position, until he was real close... So close they could see the whites of each other's eyes. Red electricity danced on Adalo's released arm to create a Cero that turned into a shifting jagged bolt at three meters of length which would act as an electric blade. There was some kind of look of timid trepidation... of anguish... on Adalo's face. But get closer, and the Kuchiki Head would see what it was. Adalo's untamed lust, which could not be satisfied by mere battle anymore. Adalo's untamed lust, which could now only be satisfied by seeing the fruition of his wicked corruptions and the deaths of all Sozen ever cared for.

Bzzz bzzz...... "Come on..." Adalo begged, wet with the heat of the heated situation, the desire for vengeance. "Why aren't you hitting me...? Come on... Do it..." Adalo approached and took a mighty swing at Sozen. This slash's impact on the chest would serve to numb and paralyze Sozen, and leave a huge, cauterized wound which would end the fight by depth alone. It was preceded by a huge blast of air which would achieve the effect of blasting apart all of Sozen's organs if that hit first. Adalo was twisting on his foot as he attacked, and in the whites of his eyes the damned could see their place in his world of a million souls. The object of the lust of revenge. "Come on... BEAT ME... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! GOD DAMN YOU. BEAT ME TIL YOUR KNUCKLES BLEED..."

In all the world there is nothing so scary as the horror that is...

Sozen jumped away from the Primera, and to the side. Therefore, not only did the slash which should have hit Sozen miss, but so too did the blast of air, which went past him. Sozen already knew about those air blasts. Okusa Shogen had mentioned something of the sort in his rather incoherent report on his duel with Adalo. Sozen wasn't in the mood to get hit by something like that here. Least of all if thrown at him by the Primera. But... Now the Kuchiki Head was down an arm. He had made an attack against Adalo, and failed completely. Never once had Sozen thought that that move wouldn't work. The Primera was formidable...

Sozen was panting. He knew that he had just gotten himself into a tough fight. Adalo truly lived up to his rank of Primera... Yeah, that warning from Aka was so prudent now. At least as strong as Kuroi. Adalo was probably even more difficult to deal with than that. He was an unstoppable god monster. A being of the sort that you only encountered once in a lifetime. And, right now, Sozen was the one at a disadvantage. Right now, despite all of his confidence, Sozen was the one who might lose right now. But... He couldn't afford to. He had to beat Adalo, and go on later to defeat even his former pupil, Sonken Kouhai.

And... he had a family. Sons. A baby daughter. A wife. Siblings. Cousins. Uncles. Aunts. A grandmother. He had so many people to fight for. People whom he loved, and did not wish to see killed. But Sozen, who was the strongest of his family, could not protect them if he lost here, and Adalo went after them later. HE knew that Aoi had encountered Adalo once, and told Sozen of the strength of the Primera. So now, the Kuchiki Head had to contend with this foe. This foe, who might very well be on Aoi's level, beyond Sozen. How horrible to think about. The might of the Primera might subdue the Crimson King after all.

The truth is, I never thought I would be outmatched when I came back to the Soul Society. Beforehand, all of my opponents were weaker than me. I was assured in my ability to win. And then I was brought down by the Segunda, who spared me. And then I nearly lost to Caesar. And then I lost to Kohler. All of these powerful adversaries, threatening my family, and my power... And I knew then... I had to get stronger.. I had to protect everyone, no matter what it took. Even if I must sacrifice myself to the devil. And now, I've beaten Kuroi... Caesar... Kohler. All of them fell before me.

"I've come too far to go back to defeat now!" Sozen cried out. And, holding up his Zanpakuto, he smiled. "Bankai... Raze, Akai Birido Seken." Sozen's sword turned to red sand and disappeared, and from all around him, the ground started to turn red. Every last grain of sand for a mile around Sozen in all directions turned red. Even the walls and interior of Las Noches nearby would turn red. Trees turned red. Even clouds in the sky turned red. This was it. The final released form of the strongest Captain in the Seireitei. Crimson King and Kuchiki Head Sozen Kuchiki's Bankai. Akai Birido Seken.

And that release doubled Sozen's cutting power. Immediately, upon seeing the blood on Adalo's shirt and stomach wound from earlier, Sozen attacked. Blades formed from the blood and shirt to stab into Adalo from every single direction. Not even Hierro Ultima had the defensive power to guard against Sozen's Bankai. If that wasn't bad enough, millions of tiny blades shot out of the ground in the sand around them, closing in around Adalo to seal him in a precise location, and also from beneath him to stab into him. It formed a cone around him in fact, trapping him as blades tried to stab him from under, and from his own personal self.

All that should be left of Adalo at that point was jelly. He would just be stabbed instantaneously from all sides, and would be turned into less than the ideal gelatin substance. Sozen's Bankai, which could harm even the likes of Segunda Espada Kuroi Naito, and which could even cut into B, The Boss, Baal's mighty Blut, would also be the demise point of the Arrancar King, Adalo De-Mona. They said that Bankai was the next level, but... They had underestimated it even now. In the name of the Seireitei... In the name of all Soul Reapers fallen to Adalo... In the name of Sozen's family... The Crimson king struck.

Sozen's blades appeared, but they were of no significant detriment to the Arrancar King. They were of no significant detriment to the Arrancar King, for Adalo De-Mona was immortal. For Adalo De-Mona was immortal, and his skin could never be penetrated. His Hierro Ultima was valued with his strength and reiatsu strength together, which were superior to Sozen Kuchiki's offensive power.... The Kuchiki Head's darkness may be imbued in the wicked blades which he had used to dissect the Vizard Leader, but Vizards were only botched pseudo Arrancar and Adalo De-Mona was not only the real thing, but the most powerful of the real thing. He was beyond inhuman. No crime, and no punishment, could amount to the plague of Adalo De-Mona.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

Only could the blades shatter into pieces when they impacted Adalo, whose feet took gradual steps toward his red prince... His pleasure. My...HOST... Step after step. Somehow, footsteps would sound like hooves, as if beckoning for war against a demented horseman. Clip clop clip clop clip clop. The Primera Espada continued to march again toward Sozen, his eyes wide and black, just staring. Adalo's gaze was fixated on his target. The ocean of sinister reiatsu around the Primera could only be Adalo's raging desire for Sozen, which burned brighter than any candle... Than any sun... Than any hope. The most beautiful thing about light, you know, is that it can always, inevitably, no matter how long it takes, be extinguished.

Adalo reached to his back, and he touched it with his hand. From Adalo's back on his left side, violent and brilliant darkness took shape, a horrible tendril of infinite black and which resonated with a cacophony of malignant shrieking from a million unsteady and terrible voices. Adalo's head turned to the side, and the Primera used his unusual flexibility to turn his neck over so that he could bend his head all the way to one side, and stare lovingly at Sozen in this way as the Arrancar King approached. Clip clop clip clop clip clop. Adalo's open mouth could almost be described as drooling for all the joy in it. Yes, this was desire. This was what it meant to desire someone so badly.....

Clip clop clip clop clip clop clip clop. "Why can't you hurt me...?" Adalo rasped, the beggar. "Come on... I begged you... Cut me... What's wrong with you? Why can't you do it? Sozen... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" The black tendril, whilst Adalo was still fifteen feet away, erupted forth toward Sozen, intending to slam into him. It was as fast as Adalo, and its total range was not in fact fifteen feet, but thirty. And Sozen was in danger of being struck. This, however, was not the only technique which Adalo was hellbent on using. He intended to do far worse to Sozen... Using his released arm, Adalo released a black Cero called Dead Cero to Sozen's left side. It was a powerful technique, and it was large enough to decimate any apartment complex.

This blocked Sozen's escape route in the left direction. Backwards and forwards were not options either. Adalo De-Mona's tendril would see to that. This left only one direction of escape. To the right. And Adalo moved in and got there, but his tendril still attacked the same location. So now all escapes were cut off. Sozen needed to counter in some way. The Arrancar King came up before Sozen and he grinned as his electric blade came forward and slashed at Sozen, releasing a shockwave. But the shockwave was not at Sozen. It was at the ground beneath Sozen, which exploded and splintered into a million pieces, the shaking destabilizing Sozen's footing almost immediately. Going down would hit rubble. Going up was impossible because he would lose balance and debris would hit him, and he was too unstable to try to jump. No shunpo would help. No direction would help. NOTHING would help.

Adalo's lightning blade came at Sozen, the shockwave making all directions of escape finally impossible. Adalo from the right... Dead Cero from the left... The tendril which would follow Sozen if he tried to move back... But back was the only really poorly guarded escape option. Yes... At long last.. They were going to become one... I need you... Come on... We want you so badly... Why do you do this to me? Why do we have to work so hard for you? Come on... Sozen Kuchiki... BECOME ONE WITH US! Yes... No escape from the Arrancar King. This was who Adalo De-Mona was. The inescapable demon that Sozen Kuchiki could never overcome. And Adalo would appear even in Sozen's nightmares from that day onward...

For the first time all fight, shock visibly flitted across Sozen's face. He had expected a difficult battle against an opponent who would give him trouble, and evade even some of his best strategies. Sure, he had expected to get a release out of that first Soulbind tactic, and again from that Itto Kaso tactic. Adalo had countered both, and exceeded Sozen's expectations, but not Sozen's imagination. Sozen had imagined that Adalo might be powerful enough to stop that. That wasn't a problem. But... when Bankai came out, that should have at least gotten a release out of the Primera. This was the power that even Kuroi had feared.

And yet... What was this? Sozen's power which had been able to even penetrate Kuroi's mighty Hierro... Which had even given Sozen an edge over Kuroi's enhanced, release based Hierro... And it still couldn't penetrate Adalo's body. These were blades with twice Sozen's ordinary cutting power, and Sozen was renowned among the Captains for having exceptional cutting power to begin with. How...? Sozen wondered to himself. How is he guarding me like this? For the first time in a long time, there was doubt. Sozen had been sure of himself even for Kuroi. But here... He was starting to doubt.

Images of Caesar drowning from the inside out due to a Soulbind combo flitted through Sozen's mind. Not even Caesar... Images of Kuroi releasing reiatsu to unleash his Segunda Etapa so as to avoid being destroyed by Sozen's Bankai flashed through the Kuchiki Head's subconscious. Not even Kuroi... There it was. Shock. Doubt. Fear. All on Sozen's face. An image burned in his mind of Schultz in Saigo No Houmen. Not even a Saigo No Houmen could defend against me. What is this? How can an Espada in his sealed state be able to counter my Bankai? That's my strongest natural power... Just how strong is he?!

And then Adalo started to approach. Sozen backed away instinctively, and then reaffirmed his position. His shock disappeared, and he calmed himself. No... I can do this. I can win. Sozen banished his doubts with just that thought alone, and a cold smile came to his face. He was going to beat Adalo De-Mona. There was no way that it wasn't going to happen. The Primera was good... But not good enough to beat Sozen. As Adalo approached, and that tendril whipped forwards, the Cero moved to the left, and Adalo came to the right, Sozen quickly calculated his escape routes. There was only one anyway.

Up. But dodging wasn't Sozen's intention. Blades erupted out of the red ground in a circle around Sozen, blocking the shockwaves from destabilizing the ground beneath Sozen, blocking Adalo's slash, and even blocking the tendril and keeping the Cero away from Sozen via barrier. The Cero wouldn't even touch, though, because Sozen had tried purposely not to go near it. The Cero was likely dangerous, so that wasn't going to happen. Instead, Sozen wanted to see what the tendril did. And, as it hit one of his blades, that blade was pulled... Drawn into the dark tendril... and Sozen got a feeling not unlike when he witnessed Garganta.

Is he using a Garganta variant offensively? Sozen wondered. I've never seen anything like that before. This makes sense, though. For an Arrancar of his level to be able to do things that no other Hollow can is logical, even expected. The barrier all around himself of swords, regardless, still shielded Sozen from all forms of attack. He also knew precisely what Adalo was trying to do. That barrage of attacks from a previously defensive opponent could only mean a couple of things, and Sozen's guess was this: An enemy like Adalo, who liked to play mind games, probably had good ability to sense reiatsu.

By sensing reiatsu, Adalo probably knew that Sozen wasn't far off in reiatsu strength. Sozen could tell that they were nearly even in general, but with more acute sensory, he surmised one might find the difference between the Kuchiki Head's blades and the Primera's Hierro. Sozen expected that the difference was something he could overcome if he charged his reiatsu strength a bit. So, to prevent Sozen from getting the opportunity, Adalo was barraging him. To think, if Adalo hadn't tried to prevent it, Sozen wouldn't have realized it. And now, within his little barrier of red blades, Sozen released more blades to form a ceiling.

Now he had an effective structure to guard him. They would be enough for a few seconds. And that was all that Sozen needed in order to charge up his reiatsu. A good few seconds. So, charging it, Sozen converted his spiritual pressure into his reiatsu strength, and as soon as he was done, his barrier lowered, and, looking at Adalo, he smirked as blades erupted, exploded even, into the Primera's gut. This time, there was no way around it short of what Sozen had been expecting. It was fast. It was difficult to guard. Adalo, at this point, would use too much stamina or reiatsu just trying to counter Bankai. There was no more point.

If this was successful as an attack, then naturally there would be more blood, allowing further stabbing, which inevitably would turn Adalo into a goo. It was a simple enough strategy. Charge up reiatsu to overcome Hierro, and then destroy. Sozen was being a pragmatist for this one. He was in Bankai. Adalo was sealed. It made sense for Sozen to completely overpower the Primera right now. Just because there was a Hierro, did not mean Sozen couldn't do damage. There was a way around. Just like Kuroi's enhanced Hierro. Just like Caesar's Blut. Sozen would always find a way. Because... He was just that strong.

Come on... Show it to me... The Primera's true power.

Then, there was a small screech. There was a small screech, which was the tiniest of little sounds. The tiniest of little sounds, comparable to the softest flapping of a butterfly's wings. The softest flapping of a little butterfly's little wings, but which was high in octave, with a pitch that made it a voice. A voice which belonged to a child. A child, such as a young girl. A young girl, such as one of the souls inside of Adalo De-Mona. It is ever so terrible when a nine year old girl's destiny is to be raped by an abusive step father... And then slit his throat in his sleep. But that darkness was what was stopping any more blades from piercing... Because we knew as soon as we felt it. I saw him. He charged his spiritual energy... He wanted to hurt us... But I'm not going to let him. No, that was why I let it out. All of it. All of them... All of US. Yes... We are not going to be stabbed. That was why it came out... The darkness came with a repulsive stench, and cold air. It came with so terrifying a feeling that it might be reason for even the Kuchiki Head to pause. Yes, pause... Sozen Kuchiki, pause. Tick...tock...stop. No no no no no no no. Yes yes yes yes yes. Non non non da da da nein nein nein hai hai hai. 01101011 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01100101 01110110 01100101 01110010 01111001 01110100 01101000 01101001 01101110 01100111 "SCREAM, FANTASMA!" The monster that stepped out of the darkness was not fully formed, yet. The blood was still on his stomach, but a black spot formed on the ground around the monster, and red blades could not form there then. The monster's large, bare foot, white and covered in pulsing blue veins. It stepped onto the black, and suddenly the blades that appeared went through it and could not touch. The monster was untouchable. Soon, those blades disappeared too, because the monster finished forming. The blood disappeared. It had on no shirt, but black cotton pants. White skin, covered in veins that stuck out. No eyes, but it could see. No ears, but it could hear. A mouth that looked sewn shut, but could tear open horrifically. Eight huge tendrils on its back... And a ninth for the Garganta tendril. The Arrancar King's true form. Fantasma. "Sozen Kuchiki... MY NEW HOST." And now he wanted to attack. SPOILER: Click to show All eight tendrils reared up. Quick as a blink, the red surrounding Adalo anywhere disappeared. That was because on each of the eight tendrils, a white Cero formed which drained all the light. It was not merely the red which disappeared from sight, but everything. Soon there was only black. As Adalo stepped off of the black spot behind him, he laughed. Eight huge Cero shot at Sozen. There was no way to dodge. They were too huge. Even one was large than several apartment complexes put together, but there were eight. Because they were Cero Deslumbrante, an Espada's Cero which could only be used in a released form. It was different from Cero Oscuras, which was black. It was Cero Deslumbrante, and stole the light to blind the opponent. The Garganta tendril reared up and fired needles at Sozen in the dozens, too, following behind the Cero Deslumbrante. Then, Adalo followed behind the attacks. One of his tendrils touched against the ground and dragged across as the Arrancar King came up to Sozen. Adalo would seem bigger. Maybe he even was. His shadow loomed over the Captain, and erased him from significance. Hahaha... Because you're going to become mine.. There is no Sozen Kuchiki. THERE IS ONLY REVENGE. Two tendrils flew at Sozen's chest, and suddenly a tiny black Bala, merely a third the size, but twice the speed came forward out of Adalo's hand, and toward Sozen's left knee. The Arrancar King's Bala. HAHAHA. One of Adalo's remaining five tendrils, excluding the Garganta tendril, rose up above the Primera's head. Yes... YES... Tuer matar ubit tappaa koroshimatsu ucide. Adalo reached out with one of his arms to grab Sozen. Soon, the Kuchiki head would see Adalo's point of view! There would be a reckoning and he would see. He would see what Adalo saw. BeCaUsE iT's BeAtIfUl.... The symphony of death. There were screams in the background, because they were from AdAlO's souls. His spirits were getting restless. I am getting restless... No, WE are getting restless. Unfortunate to be the black man who sat for thirty years in prison and faced the death penalty for a murder and rape he did not commit. Sozen had to say, he was almost a little bit terrified. Almost. That form.. That monster before him... Even Caesar. Even Kohler. Even Kuroi. Even Schultz's Saigo No Houmen. His greatest adversaries had all still looked human. Adalo De-Mona abandoned this concept. He looked only like a monstrosity. And somehow, that was comforting. On some level, despite his contempt, or his will to protect, or to kill, Sozen could have related to his opponents. Schultz's quest for knowledge. Kohler's sadistic pleasures. Kuroi's obsession with power. Even Caesar's loyalty to his Emperor. Adalo, by abandoning any form of humanity, and devoting fully to the Hollow, made it all the easier to kill him.

Sozen saw them. Those mighty white Cero which made the world around Adalo black. Already, Sozen could tell what the aim was. Those Cero, which stole the light away from their surroundings. As they approached, Sozen thought to himself how he had never seen such a technique before. It was beautiful, in a way, poetic even, for it was a technique which robbed Sozen of his greatest, most useful power of all: The red world. Through robbing Sozen of the light around him, Adalo took away Sozen's ability to use the red world to defend himself. As the Cero drew near, Sozen would lose his red to it. It was brilliant, truth be told. ...But the Crimson King was not that easy.

Sozen dropped to one knee, closing his eyes. It wasn't that he did it because closing his eyes negated the light stealing of the approaching Cero Deslumbrante. It did, technically, but what was the use if Sozen too was blind? Plus, it wouldn't stop them from hitting him, or the Garganta needles, or the incoming Bala, or the two tendrils. But what Sozen had planned would successfully defend him. The Crimson King was one of the greatest combat strategists of his time, and was likely to be one of the most brilliant family heads that had ever sat for the Kuchiki. So, if this was all that the Primera's released form had to offer... then Adalo had to do better than that.

"Aka No Seken..." Sozen whispered. And his eyes flew open just as a column of red reiatsu burst around his body. That column was mighty, and it repulsed not only all eight of those Cero Deslumbrante, but the needles from the Garganta tendril, and the Arrancar King's Bala too. Sozen had even crafted this Bankai technique for the purpose of being surrounded, or facing overwhelming offensive power. It was an ability he had even refrained from using against the Segunda Espada. He had intended to save this power for Sonken Kouhai, but... Well, he had other things for his former pupil.

When Sozen's eyes reopened, three pupils were in each, revolving in a circle. That was indication of Aka No Seken: Mode Small. It had successfully blocked all of Adalo's attacks. Sozen then stood up, this time taking his full speed of 700 as the Primera Espada approached him, aiming to grab. Though Sozen no longer held a sword, he had gained the ability to turn anything that he touched red. That was a limit of his ordinary abilities. Not just anything could turn red. In Mode Small, with the exception of the air they breathed, Sozen could literally turn anything red. Including, by brushing his thumb against his palm, his own right hand.

A quick sidestep took Sozen to Adalo's right, and a blade ejected forth from his palm. See, Sozen had amplified his reiatsu strength, allowing him to cut the Primera. Additionally, the blade itself moved at a speed equivalent to its cutting power of 2000. Best part? Sozen didn't even need to slash or stab at Adalo. Just by having his hand somewhat pointed at the Primera, this sufficed. See, like Bankai, his blades could extend incredibly far. In fact, it was every bit as far as Bankai. Maybe not as fast as Soulbind, but with enough power to directly cut Adalo. And, it had some other surprises. So, what might Adalo do?

He would have to defend, for as Sozen's blade headed out at full speed toward the Primera's throat, he had already used his left thumb to turn his other hand red, and his blade was exploding outward at the Primera's outstretched wrist, just where it would be as it reached the place to grab Sozen. Adalo was literally bringing his wrist into the way to get his hand severed. Okay, sure. He had nine tendrils on his back. But, tendrils couldn't replace hands. And the Primera couldn't stop Sozen from beating him if the best that Adalo could do was spam. No, there would be no problem with this attack.

Sozen was more than ready to handle this. See, that's the thing about facing so many difficult battles. It becomes difficult to lose hope in yourself, even against insurmountable odds. When you've conquered the Espada that literally stands for despair, how can you possibly lose hope against the Primera, who stands only for revenge? This was not Adalo's revenge. When had Adalo been wronged? No, Sozen had lost kin to the Arrancar... He had lost a student to the corruption of their power... He had been traumatized, and brutalized, and his family endangered. This wasn't Adalo De-Mona's revenge. This was Sozen's Kuchiki's revenge. The vengeance of the Crimson King.

This will, however, be as a friend, and I am afraid that if you cannot move on and put all that has happened behind us, then even friendship will not work, and I will never be able to see you again....

Oh wretched wench Cecilia, how you have played me for a fool. I will be short and to the point. I know that you used me only to get closer to my father. I know that whatever we had was simply a lie, now. It took this greatest of heartbreaks to show me your true nature. You are not the beautiful swan, nor the singing angel that I once thought. You are the mocking hyena who laughs at misery, and the twisted devil with a goat's horns and skin red as the fire in which you were born. Mark my words, oh wretched Cecilia, I will see you again, you and Lord Cordlow, but not in merry joy or in good faith. When next we meet, I will skin you alive, you mark my words. I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE! A million voices which in life were of the least prominent significance, but which in death festered together as one and came to hold sway over the lives of so many others. Their hatred, and its need to be exacted upon the world by the figment that had been created in the stead of their insignificant voices. In the stead of their insignificant voices, we were born for revenge... The Arrancar King, Adalo De-Mona, the blackest of spirits.

With the tendril which dragged along the ground, a large black spot spontaneously formed, falling into the Primera's scheme, a trap. It would touch upon both Sozen Kuchiki and Adalo De-Mona at once, and had begun to form as soon as Sozen Kuchiki began to step to the side to dodge being grabbed, a calculated maneuver by the Kuchiki Head yet even more calculated by the schemes of the Arrancar King. A calculated maneuver by the Kuchiki Head yet even more calculated by the schemes of the Arrancar King, for ensnaring Sozen was not done by physical hands, but by ensnaring the soul in dread, as Adalo would do. As Sozen had moved, that black spot had formed to touch both under his foot and under the Kuchiki Head's...

As it touched Adalo, the Arrancar King would become intangible, and the blades would pass through him uselessly. As it touched Sozen, he would suddenly be robbed of all senses so long as he stood on the black spot created by the Primera. Sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell. All evaporated in the instant when Sozen stepped down onto the forming black spot. It then began to shrink from the back, removing itself from the Primera's foot simultaneous to the Primera stepping aside so be perpendicular to Sozen Kuchiki, so that Adalo was no longer intangible, and Sozen was still deprived of senses, with the tendril which earlier had risen up over Adalo's head coming down, forming an Electrica Blade out of a sinister Cero and carving deeply into Sozen's chest to both cut and cauterize.

And out of that spawned another attack, an Arrancar King's Bala, which would be very small, and would leave a very small hole in Sozen Kuchiki's stomach in addition to the slash wound, also cauterized, and which would become accompanied by a desire to puke, and another, sinister darkness on the inside. This was to be followed by the Primera's great step back, as he opened his eyes wide and grinned at Sozen Kuchiki. Whether or not Sozen saw, a black Cero marble formed in Adalo's hand, and the Primera smiled. The Primera smiled, for he had something great. This marble, Cero Gravita, was a prerequisite to something else. The Primera smiled, for he had something great. This marble, Cero Gravita, was prerequisite to his greatest technique.

"Dead Cero."

At once, the black marble released within a mile radius all around them black souls which screamed as they went, consuming everything. From a mile beneath Adalo and Sozen, the ground. From a mile above them, anything. From all around them, sand, trees, nearby and curious Hollows. They had moved because of their battle, far enough away from Las Noches that the attack would reach the gates a mile away, but barely fail to touch them. And they would wonder within, just what was that screaming? Just what was that screaming, yes... Destroy destroy destroy destroy DESTROY DESTROYYYY. The screaming souls drew back inward. If they had struck Sozen Kuchiki then he too would be consumed and pulled into the Dead Cero.

At the end of it, it all formed a new Cero Gravita in Adalo's hand, with the Primera smiling. Something which then dissipated, the Cero Gravita but not the smile. And Adalo De-Mona had eaten his fill of something good. He had felt a dozen Hollows taken, gone now. Some Arrancar too. He did not know yet if Sozen was in his valley of screams, but he would feel it soon. If Sozen were taken, his soul would likely one day take over inside of the valley of screams that had been created, and a new agent of revenge would be born, broken down by its current arbiter, the angel of the black world, and the Arrancar King, AdAlO dE-mOnA. The best part was Sozen would have trouble defending while that black spot had touched under his foot. HAHAHA!!!
