Suddenly, blackness. Everything went dark. For the first time in a long time, Sozen knew, even for a split second, what fear was. How could he not? He was completely shocked. One moment he was coming forward... Next moment he had no senses? But, that shock didn't come in the form of freezing, or hesitation. Sozen was a mighty warrior, with honed instinct. See, the great thing about fear is that it is nature's greatest single ability. Any creature that knows fear acts on a higher plane than any that doesn't. To fear is to have the highest instincts of all. And Sozen, who had the instinct of a savage beast, was quick to react.
After his shock had dissipated, his body subconsciously flew into a quick step back. He couldn't feel anything, but Sozen could sense reiatsu. Believe it or not, he could. Not the reiatsu of others, but rather his own. Sozen could sense himself. And he knew, instinctively, that his reiatsu was flowing and could flow. So he knew he wasn't dead. Just by instinctively identifying the flow of his reiatsu, he knew his leg would move, because even if he couldn't feel, his nerves knew what to do. His neurons fired with the memory of having done this a hundred thousand times. Sozen, in one moment, even without feeling in his body, could step away from Adalo, far back.
Sozen used his max speed to get far away from Adalo, but as soon as he got off the black spot, and his senses returned, he was flooded with feelings. Sozen's eyes went wide as the urge to throw up hit him in a wave. Sozen fell to one knee, gagging, and only through sheer strength of will did he manage to prevent himself from throwing up. All sorts of feelings had flooded his mind, too. Voices, telling him that it was okay to kill. To surrender himself to the darkness. In the background of his mind, he could hear some sort of laughter. The putrid smell of burning flesh lit Sozen's nostrils, and he glanced down to see a hole in his torso and a gash on his chest. He was badly wounded.
And even then, Adalo hadn't finished. The Primera now created a black orb of reiatsu, a marble, the Cero Gravita. But, this one was different. It looked much more unstable. And Adalo was just holding it upward, rather than doing anything with it. It couldn't just form miraculously and then do anything. Adalo wouldn't just create it without a purpose. And that was how Sozen knew that another attack was coming. Something big. Somehow, instinctively, he could tell. A powerful attack was about to come, now. There was no time to lose. Sozen, in an instant, as he saw some sort of blackness begin to erupt from the Cero Gravita, disappeared.
Sozen's feet, touching his shoes, turned them red as he stepped back, and as he did, his red shoes released blades from the bottom to skyrocket Sozen three hundred meters up. But, the blades, in contact with the red shoes, would find themselves turning red as Sozen transferred red from his shoes to the blades, and then used those red blades to produce more blades from the top, followed by transferring red to the new blades, causing the old ones to disappear, but allowing Sozen to create more new blades from the top. In this manner, he kept projecting himself up on a quickly disintegrating ladder of blades, doing all of this in a single instant at his maximum possible speed, having planned it from the moment he knew escape was necessary.
Because of this, Sozen, by the time the blades vanished, was high in the sky, out of reach of Adalo's Dead Cero. But, he would see below. He would see that Adalo's Cero had consumed everything. There was now a very deep crater in the ground within which Adalo stood. That Dead Cero, a powerful technique, had devoured everything. As it had retreated back into the marble in Adalo's hand, Sozen had heard terrible screams, and he knew that had he been hit by that technique, he would have been killed, and blocking it would not have been possible. Sozen had gotten lucky with dodging that. He was tiring out fast now because of his wounds.
And now, Sozen had another problem to deal with. He was falling, and fast. Falling well over two miles down. If he slammed into the ground, he would die. But, it didn't matter. Sozen knew what to do. As he plummeted, Sozen closed his eyes, and as he reopened them, they had returned to normal, and his red world once again was starting to spread out around him. Once Sozen neared within the one mile zone, he touched his own chest, and stabbed one of his fingers into the wound, and flung it out. A droplet of blood came out with Sozen's finger, just on the tip, and suddenly Sozen Kuchiki disappeared into his single droplet of blood as more droplets were left behind in the sky.
Stop music.
Sozen rose out of the once again red ground beneath Adalo De-Mona, having used Red Transport to get there. Appearing behind Adalo, and holding up the hands which still were bleeding, Sozen produced blades from his palms at an instant speed, double slashing at the Primera for just an instant. It was a feint, and Sozen soon used Shukuchi-Ho to complete his slash and move past and away from Adalo in that single instant, tripling his speed for three steps out. If Adalo didn't dodge, his head would be severed, but otherwise Sozen got in and out very quickly. He knew that he wouldn't win with that. He had other plans, now. Aka... I need it.
Sozen. It's yours.
Having gotten his distance from Adalo, Sozen smiled coldly. "You are stronger than me right now," Sozen admitted candidly. Scarlet eyes fell on the wicked Primera, and did not back down. Not flinching. Not lowering. Standing his ground, despite his wounds, Sozen still could take back control of this fight. "But that's the keyword, isn't it? Right now. I'm not the same person who barely fought on par with Kuroi using Bankai. I know that I would lose to you if that was all that I had. But, what if I had, say... Something different?" And Sozen held up his sword, and smiled very coldly.
"Aka No Omoni..."
Dark red reiatsu enveloped Sozen like a pig in a blanket. Then it produced a huge column of spiritual power into the sky, annihilating anything that might be up there. It had waves of power, and from it, Sozen's aura became colder. To any that weren't the same class as Sozen, they would be pressured so terribly as to be instantly floored. For Adalo, it would feel as if he had been stripped naked in a powerful snow storm. This disgusting, twisted sensation was Sozen Kuchiki. It was an aura even more sinister than the Primera himself. Make way for the real Crimson King, the first of the Blood Bonded. Sozen Kuchiki.
As it faded, Sozen was standing, a bit shorter than before, and a bit younger too. His physical age was roughly nineteen. He wore rectangular frame glasses on his face. He had reverted to a form that had been a little bit more twisted way back when, and now coming with him was some pretty intense strategizing power. And more. This was the guy that had basically wiped the floor with even Captain level foes like they were nothing. Not that current Sozen couldn't do that too, but what had been amazing at the time was he hadn't been called the strongest Captain. He had been Lieutenant of Squad 7.

"Now," Sozen said. "Let's take this nice and slow."
With a huge grin on his face like the Cheshire cat, Sozen approached Adalo. Once again, Sozen held a katana in one hand, for with Soul Release he had gotten back a blade. On his way, using his red blade, Sozen dragged his sword along the ground, approaching. And, as he did, he left a trail of red carving across the ground. Raising his blade up after that, Sozen got within range of Adalo, and suddenly smiled. Red sand materialized around him and started floating around them, forming a dense cloud around Sozen and Adalo. This was without giving up his other Bankai advantages. Well, the world wasn't actually red around them. That had disappeared with initiation of Soul Release.
However, Sozen had a devastating little secret. As his red sand surrounded them, Sozen slashed at Adalo, and blades from the sand shot outward and downward into the ground, creating a metal circle of blades around them, and also red dots on the ground. This meant that the two of them were trapped together in this red circle, which was also full of red sand, and surrounded by red sand outside too. It was also that the blades were red, and so they released more red blades from their own tips, creating a higher and higher prison. Now, Adalo was truly trapped by Sozen. Truly, deeply, terribly, tragically trapped.
And if any of the blades hit Adalo, even his flesh would be stained with a small red dot. This was only the beginning of Sozen's trap, of course. Adalo had a lot more than just this to worry about. The grin of the Kuchiki Head could be seen from ear to ear. A powerful technique had emerged here. One which was not likely to yield Adalo any more results. The days of the Arrancar King were at an end. The Primera was absolutely no match for Sozen whatsoever. This was proof of that. A power beyond even Bankai. The ultimate form of the soul's power. Aka No Omoni. Soul Release.
