Finally an interesting mission that could prove to challenge Kimiko’s skills. Over the last few weeks the young princess had started receiving missions from those above her ranking in the division. So far however the missions that she had been assigned only managed to bore the girl. It was either delivering information from one location to another or obtaining some type of information about another shinigami. Both of these tasks however provided little enjoyment for her and only managed to make her grumpy and annoyed for now.
Then finally when she had been told that there was some kind of new spiritual entity in Karakura Town and that she was being sent to investigate the new spirit. The only thing she knew though was that this spirit had some how originated from Hell itself. She had been told not to underestimate the individual and to take it out as swiftly as possible in order to prevent future problems in Karakura Town. Kimiko had no choice, but to fulfill the mission assigned to her and because of that she spent a full half hour preparing her. It wasn’t in her joyous nature to slaughter without ample reasoning and due to that she had been taught how to seal her empathies away to aid her in carrying out assassinations.
She had arrived in Karakura Town about an hour prior atop of a building. She had been told the description of what intelligence reported this male demon to look like so all she needed to do now was find it and eliminate the thing. She was now in the park of the town unable to be seen by most individuals both due to her skill in stealth and the complete Omitsukido arrive she currently wore. The only section of skin on her body that could be seen other then the small space for her eyes was end of her fingers. She searched through the park moving in a crouched position slowly surveying the entire thing while remaining within the shadows of trees.

Jak stood over several unconscious men popping his knuckles. His spiky black hair was in a slight mess from the tussle. His red eyes looked from one body to the other making sure none of them were trying to get up. His muscular chest was only covered by a black vest, and a pair of jeans covering his legs. He wore a pair of black and blue saddles. The oddest thing about the boy, besides his eyes, was his right arm. It was an angry red color with a heavy black chain running up his arm. His arm is hot to the touch and warms the tough chains.
These thugs thought that they could gain some street credit by taking on Jak Halcom. He has a reputation of being one of the best street fighters in Karakura town. Jak had a tendency to have a bad attitude and willing to take it out on anyone that gives him a reason to punch them.
Jak walked away from the thugs having caught his breath and ready to move on. It was a warm night and it felt good to be out. He didn't feel like going home just yet. It was rather nice to be around the park when there was no one else around. It was far more peaceful as well. He finally allowed himself to relax after a few minutes of walking. He tried to assure himself that he was done fighting, but couldn't hep but think that something was amiss.

Damn looking around a park in the midst of darkness seemed to take longer than she wanted to find the demon. There wasn’t even a guarantee that the demon was even in this location only her hunch. It just felt like this would be the location that Kimiko would find whatever demon she had been sent to eliminate. She knew that in order to scout a much wider range she was going to need to obtain a higher altitude. Kimiko swiftly yet silently climbed up a tree close to her and perched herself onto a branch and surveyed the park from this position. Even her thoughts were silent the normally excited and joyous princess sealed within an assassin of the Soul Society.
It took another few minutes however Kimiko did see someone moving through the forest. After about half a minute she was able to make out a good portion of the details enough to convince this assassin the target was located. She waited completely still in the darkness of the tree perched on the branch as the demon walked the path right by it. After a few moments had past Kimiko dropped down from the tree branch to the ground below making sure her toes touched first and ceased the sound of her whole body landing. After that she proceeded to stealthfully follow up on the demon closing the distance between them.
As the distance between them reached a measurement of ten feet the shinigami felt the time was right and that she would be able to bring it down with minimum effort. It was then that Kimiko leaped forward from the crouching pursuit into a full roll then as her feet touched the ground once more she jumped into the air toward the demon. Kimiko was now about five feet off the ground at upper body. The Shihoin proceeded to kick in a horizontal manner with her right foot moving her body along with her leg. The target that Kimiko was aiming to hit with her foots full strength was simple the head of the demon.

Jak heard the rustling of the grass and quickly turned with his hands up in a fighting position. He was just able to see someone jumping into the air. He only had time to look up before the kick hit his right arm. He reflexively put his left arm behind it to reinforce it when the foot made contact with his arm. He went to grab the person's leg with his left hand. If he succeeded, he would throw her down into the ground and back off hands still up, if not he would still just back off staying ready for anything.
"Who the hell are you?" he asked in a low growl. Whoever it was was pretty strong. His arm hurt slightly from the weakened block. He or she must have thought that he could take advantage of him not expecting a fight to take him out. Well unfortunate for his opponent, he was not going to make it that easy for them. "I will give you one chance to leave now. I am in a good mood for once and willing to not fight if you walk away now." He knew that it wasn't going to be that easy. It never is.

As the assassin kicked outward she could tell that her presence had been discovered. The right kick that she had delivered in an attempt to inflict some serious damage to this demon was defended against rather well. She watched as the demon utilized both arms to weaken the actual damage it could inflict upon a single arm as defense. It wasn’t rather impressive and that could only make her more thrilled about a challenge. Kimiko’s actual personality had began to fight back against the assassin training now that a challenge presented itself to her. For now however the princess remained emotionless and intent only on success as swiftly as possible.
As the demon’s left hand gripped her leg she knew that the beast at least had a small degree of hand to hand skills. That would make this even more challenging and joyous of a battle. The grip of this thing was strong and she could tell by the angle of its hand that it planned to thrash her against the ground below. Reacting as swiftly as she could Kimiko twisted her body to the right. This caused the majority of her body to appear as if it had switched from face up to down. However, the purpose was the kick from her left foot that could clash with the left arm of his demon and free her own leg.
Kimiko would then proceed to tumble to the ground and roll away a few feet then spin on the balls of her feet and face the demon while in a crouched position. Kimiko stared at it while it spoke in what seemed to be a mix of rage and calm emotion. It seemed the demon was curious as to who Kimiko was however what she wanted was clear. The poor thing thought it could intimidate her to make her question the possibility of victory in defeating him. To bad for the demon Kimiko never had been defeated in hand to hand combat.
The assassin side of the princess was still in control and due to that Kimiko hadn’t spoken in reply to the demon only readying for a clear attack. It was then that Kimiko executed a hand stand and flipped herself into the air. She spun through the air over the demon’s body and land behind him. As she would land Kimiko would execute a kick with her left leg by placing her right hand on the ground and lifting her left leg backward attempting to kick the demon in the right side of his ribs. If successful Kimiko knew that this demon wasn’t going to last long. However, if the demon managed to defend once again like the last time Kimiko would flex her left leg and abdomen allowing her to lift her entire body up off of the demon’s hold and attempt to punch him in the face or back of the neck depending on which way he was facing.
Jak didn't expect the unknown fighter to back down. He remained at the ready. His weight was on the balls of his feet, and his hands did not move from their ready position. His black hair blew in the slight breeze like in some cheesy kung-fu film. His demands and requests were only met with silence as he could see that the fighter was preparing another attack. He sighed mentally, but he focused on the fight at hand. She was strong and fast, so he needed to be on his A-game this time.
She was fast to say the least. It was like he was fighting a mix between an Olympic sprinter and an gymnast at the same time, or a fighter from the kung-fu movies he liked to watch. He wondered if this was some sort of reality show, but pushed that thought out of his mind when she hand stand jumped over his head. He fallowed her managed to barley block the kick to his ribs. Again, he had to bock with both arms. He growled and threw his own right punch which would coincidentally meet hers. Her fist felt cool against his burning hot hand. No doubt she would feel that at least.
He would then go on the offensive with a direct left-right double punch combination aimed at her chin. If she stayed in front of him, and within kicking distance, he would through a hard left round house kick to her ribs. He couldn't tell if she was armed or not. He will wait to use his chain if she ended up armed. He still wanted to know why he was being attacked. What was this person after? Who was she? he guessed those questions would be answered after he beat her.

It seemed that this competition was only going to continue and as it did Kimiko's competitive personality would fight against her training. Already the training she had undertook as an assassin was being pushed by her competitive drive for victory against this demon. While it normally would never escalate this rapidly it seemed this demon favored hand to hand combat the very same as Kimiko. This would only feed her urge for victory at a rate she had never been trained to negate. If she didn't take out this monster in the next minute or two her personality would surface and the chances of taking this thing out without damaging the area would plummet.
Kimiko was once again quite surprised as she felt her left leg clash against his arms in the same manner as prior. As she flipped and twisted her body off the ground to punch him she felt his own fist counter her own. There was an incredible heat that far outclassed what a normal entity would possess from body heat alone. Kimiko wasn't entirely sure what type of powers a demon could have, but based off what she was feeling at that moment she assumed it would be heat based possibly fire. Just as her feet touched the surface of the ground again the demon began to extend his hands toward her face.
Under the black clothe that hid the lower half of her face Kimiko grinned in excitement as she saw the incoming strike. Moving as swiftly as possible Kimiko bent backwards causing the hands of the demon to pass by as her body flipped backwards. Landing on the ground Kimiko saw the position this demon was taking and knew that her own counter would be perfect against such a risking maneuver. As the demon began to lift his leg and turn Kimiko lowered her body and swayed once then spun and extended her own left leg once again. The plan was that as this demon attempted to kick up high where Kimiko no longer occupied space her own leg would strike the major opening of a round house kick which was the center of his chest.

The assassin pulled her head out of range of his punches and flipped back, but she was still in range of his kick. He threw the left kick, and to his surprise, she ducked her body down, and started to spin in her own counter attack. He continued with the kick, but as it was he would have gone over her head, but with a quick adjustment of the hips and leg height he brought his kick down on the back of her head just as her kick reached his chest.
The power from both kicks would diminish some from the simultaneous hit, but he was sure that he struck the more significant blow. He staggered back from the hit glad that he tightened his abs just before the kick hit. It still nearly knocked the wind from him which only seemed to make him smile. Other than hallows, he never got into a fight as challenging as this one. He straightened, but kept his combat stance. He was ready for anything she got.
"Not bad, not bad at all. It would still seem that even with your training you still make some stupid mistakes." He chuckled motioning with his fingers for her to come at him. "This is the most fun I had in a long time. Lets makes this something for one of us to remember." He redistributed his weight evenly again and readied his hands. His hands would clench and relax waiting for her next attack.

Kimiko held her body weight on that of her right arm and could feel the stress it was placing on the arm although it certainly wouldn't be enough to stop the kick she had planned for this demon. Her left leg was moving outwards just as she had planned and his leg was to high to strike her. Kimiko's personality was beginning to surface as she grinned under the black clothe covering her face. That was though until she saw the shift in the demon's body. Kimiko couldn't tell if the shift was meant to change the angle of the kick the demon had attempted or if I would aid him in evading her kick either way though she wasn't going to let the opportunity to strike this thing go.
Pushing off the ground with her right arm Kimiko shifted her body to the left. This would cause Kimiko to rise off of the ground and then spin through the air over the kick of the demon only to have her already planned kick strike the demon on the left side of his head. Landing back on the ground Kimiko would retreat a few steps to calm her breathing and take in an details about the demon that might surface with the strike she had managed against him if successful in doing so. This was certainly a battle Kimiko was happy she had been assigned to take care of even if what squad two considered assassination was a long way off the table.
Jak pulled his head back as he kicked, but he was still in range of the assassin's kick. Her foot hit his head which made him stagger back several feet. His head was defiantly ringing from that hit. He felt the place where he was hit. No cuts as of yet, but he would defiantly be some swelling and bruising in the morning if not a broken cheek bone. He straightened shaking the ringing from his head. He knew that he could not match her speed or maneuverability. He unwrapped his chain from around his arm and let it hang to the ground burning the grass it touched.
He had about four feet of chain to swing with the additional fact that it was heated by his arm, and the density of the metal it was made from. He gripped it tightly in his right hand keeping his left hand up to defend against her attacks. He brought the chain back and whipped it forward to strike her mid-section. If she moved to the sides he would fallow up with a horizontal swing trying to keep her at a distance.

That last swing felt so good for the young princess she could feel her muscles working as best they could to perform the method of attack that she could only perform through the style of Capoeira. Although virtually her entire body was covered in the standard black clothing of the Onmitsukido Kimiko had been able to feel the air that blew over her body from the kick of the demon. She stood back a few feet from he demon now thinking over what she had felt. The air had been far warmer than it actually is right now yet only for that one instant. That wasn't the only thing though her foot was hot like she had just put it into a hot spa. "Damn it this demon has some type of heat ability I'm going to need to be more careful and finish this fast before things get out of my hands."
In the next moment the demon let loose the chain on his arm and answered Kimiko's assumption by allowing the metal to make contact with the grass. Kimiko was able to see the grass around the chain burn and knew that her guess was correct and that whatever ability this demon held it was similar to fire if not a variation of it. "Damn for all I know it's invisible flame." It seemed that Kimiko's personality has surfaced yet the seriousness of an assassin hadn't left her thoughts making a strange and unforeseen combination that her teachers would have never thought possible. It was then that the demon lifted his arm and flung it forward moving the chain around his arm like a weapon.
Kimiko knew this was bad. It seemed that this demon had more than one advantage against her. It held some type of power yet even after training and becoming a Shinigami Kimiko had yet to even communicate with her zanpakuto spirit. She hadn't yet achieved the zanpakuto abilities that many Shinigami sought so endlessly to acquire. To make matters worse her training in Hakudo hadn't truly started and she knew no advanced techniques in hand to hand combat that might turn the tables on this demon. In truth all Kimiko could do was land as many hits on this thing as possible and hope that it eventually wouldn't be able to get back up.
The chain was coming right for her and Kimiko knew that the thing was meant to be used as a ranged type of weapon so the best thing she could do was get close and keep the pain raining down upon the demon. Side stepping to the right Kimiko lunches herself forward and starts t run right for the demon. As the distance nearly closes between them Kimiko sees the movement of the demon's arm and knows a horizontal attack from the chain is coming for her. Driving forward Kimiko extends her arms in front of her as she glides across the grass under the chain. Gripping the ground with her fingers Kimiko lifts herself up into a backwards handstand with all the momentum of her slide transferring through her upper body down to her legs. Bending her legs backwards just a touch Kimiko attempts to kick the demon with the full force of her strength with the momentum of the slide behind it hopefully sending the thing back to the depths of Hell.

As much fun that this fight was he had to wonder again why he was even fighting. He was defending himself against this attacker, but why was this person after him, and who hired her. He tried to think of anyone that he had fought before, that would have had so much of a grudge against him that he would hire an assassin to kill him. He couldn't come up with anything right off, but then again he wasn't given much time to think.
She managed to dodge both of his strikes and was trying to get in close again. She side stepped the first attack and slid under the horizontal strike. As she was sliding he was already on the move. He bent his legs and pushed off hard trying to keep some distance from her. He moved back and to the right so that her legs would only hit that space where his head formally occupied. Instead of attacking again, he wrapped the chain around his wrist making it a ball of steel. He wanted to know what this persons motives were.
"What the hell is wrong with you! Who sent you to fight me!?" He demanded again. He tried again to think of who would have the money to hire an assassin let alone one this skilled. In fact, why would an assassin try to fight him? Shouldn't he or she in this case, try to shoot him with a silenced gun or something like that like modern hit-men? Then a thought struck him. Maybe this wasn't a human assassin. There were only two spiritual beings that he knew of that would make an attempt on his life. Those would be the Quincies, and the Shinigami. "If you will not answer me why, then answer me this are you a Quincie or Shinigami?"

The slide was nearly perfect the feeling of the grass and ground rubbing against her clothing was just like that of a water slide for Kimiko. Her hands grabbing a hold of the ground and lifting herself into the air gave her the sensation of pride and wonder. While Kimiko had been in a state of suppressed emotions due to the assignment of assassination her own motivations and marveling personality had been kept back from the surface. Now this fight had ripped apart the wall of preparation and training simply from being a challenge which only gave the princess enjoyment. No longer did she have the mind set of an assassin, but that of a playful warrior that embraced every movement that was preformed with nothing other than joy and encouragement to continue farther along the path of might.
Kimiko had seen that the demon bent his legs and planned to jump backwards although Kimiko wasn’t so sure that he wouldn’t attempt a side attack with her chain. Kimiko could hear the metal moving through the air as the demon leaped backwards and to her left yet her hands were already in position and her momentum wouldn’t allow her to stop performing the hand stand. As her body arced into a handstand Kimiko quickly took action. The result of that built up momentum was enough that Kimiko had to perform a triple back bending arc. She honestly didn’t know if it would be called a back flip simply because her body was always touching the ground just it was either her hands or her feet.
Now looking towards the demon a total of ten feet away Kimiko moved her body from side to side in a swaying motion. It was as if Kimiko was imitating the rocking of a ship in the waters with her upper body yet her legs were in a repetition of moving forward and then back constantly switching places with one another. Kimiko had studied Capoiera enough that the standard idle position was engraved within her mind. It was so full of passion and strength it fit to the personality of the princess and she was going to utilize the style further in defeating this demon.
As she stared out towards the demon her personality actually caught attention to his appearance it seemed that he shares a similar skin tone to her own and that his hair was long and white. “Damn I thought demons would look . . . well ugly like some kind of monster . . what the hell why is a demon HOT!” Kimiko couldn’t control her thoughts yet they seemed to calm as the demon spoke aloud questioning her motives for attacking him.
"What the hell is wrong with you! Who sent you to fight me!? If you will not answer me why, then answer me this are you a Quincie or Shinigami?"
As the demon screamed at Kimiko the young princess actually drew a blank yet her constant movements never cease. In all truth Kimiko hadn’t even given a thought that a demon would have the ability to speak in the same way that most others did. It was the same naivety that led her to only think of such a thing as a horrible creature that would look like a massive ugly and ingesting insect. All of it just seemed so weird for the princess now how could this individual be a threat that needed to be taken out. It was then that Kimiko recalled his burning ability that seemed to originate from the chain that now wrapped around his arm again.
“Nothing is wrong with me! You’re a demon in the human world and I’ve been dispatched to remove you. You’re too much of a risk to be allowed in this town with the humans!” Kimiko was speaking the way that an assassin would justify their own actions to that of their target. Yet as she spoke the words she couldn’t help the feeling that it was wrong and that she was just blindly following the orders of someone else who didn’t even know this individual. He hadn’t attacked her she had attempted to take him out right away. Kimiko couldn’t help the feeling that she was wrong and that the Soul Society was passing judgment in a cruel and unfair way.
It was then that Kimiko raised her hands and pulled back the clothe hiding her face. Pulling down and back at the same time Kimiko revealed her facial appearance to the demon along with her hair. “I’m a Shinigami of Soul Society and have been assigned with the mission of removing you from this town. Like I said you’re too much of a risk and we can’t allow these humans to pay for a single reason.” Kimiko lowered her arms again and began up the sequence of her upper body matching that of her lower. Kimiko was going to await the response of this demon and just hope that he would leave willingly so that she wouldn’t have to fight on the behalf of her squad while her personality went unshackled.
He was a demon? What the hell was she babbling about? He thought trying to make sense of her words. Yes his right arm was strange and abnormal, but he wasn't a demon. Demons were creatures that lived to only cause misery and suffering from what he had read. Beings from the deepest pits of hell that people can't even see. No, she was obviously mistaken. He may be part mod-soul, but he was no demon.
"I am afraid that you and your Soul Society have made a mistake. I am not a demon. My mother may be a mod soul, but that doesn't make me a demon. I may have beaten down the odd street gang here and there, but that does not make me any more dangerous than anyone else." He didn't know why he was even trying to argue with her. For all he knew, she may have been one of the shinigami that killed his mother. "Why am I even bothering? You shinigami only kill what you think is a threat like my mother, so why should I trust that you only want me to leave?"
He kept himself ready to fight. He was not going to let his guard down around her for an instant. He may not be able to use his mod-soul abilities, but he was a natural fighter, and he would pull out all the stops if he had to to survive. He made no move to attack as long as she didn't. He noticed her change in demeanor. She was no longer silent and completely focused, but seemed to relax now for some reason. She revealed her face, and he had to admit that she was pretty, but that didn't change the fact that he was fighting for his life.
