Hotaru Kuchiki steps through the spiritual gates and is back in Karakura Town. She actually hasn't been here for a little while, so it was nice to come back here. She looked over the town from where she stood from the rooftop. She took a deep breath to take in the human world. She does get some breaks, but she really needed a break right now. She's been going through so much, most of which she herself volunteered for, she just needed the break from everything in Soul Society to be with herself.
She runs back to the park. This park held fond memories for her. She walks through the park, thinking back on the one day that has changed her life. She likes to think it changed her life for the better. It was the day she first met Asmos. It was in this park and he defeated her rather easily, but there was pain from him actually doing her harm. Once she got to know him better, the more she liked him and the more she wanted to get to know him better. During their fight in the sewers, she knew that she needed to do something.
It was then that she decided to tell him how she felt. Then, she met him in his hometown and that's when things actually became real. They became a duo, to be in a relationship together. They've been through so much and she knew it was all worth it. She had ended up walking back towards the lake. She loved wooded areas like this. She sat by the lake and remembered Asmos walking up to her and what happened by the lake in Tokyo. She laid back in the grass and thought about him before she slowly fell asleep.

Once again the day was bright and the sky so blue. Asmoskon had made plans some time earlier to spar against Hotaru in the place of their meeting in order to show one another their newly obtain strength and skills. However, if anything else Asmoskon was hoping he wouldn't have to resort using his new bow. He knew that in all rights Hotaru was probably more powerful than he is even if that wasn't the case when they met. It seemed that his companion had ascended past him with the small amount of time. However, be that as it may it would still have been dishonorable to turn down her suggestion of battle.
Riding through the streets Asmoskon knew the time was getting close and he was going to possible be late. He hoped though that he would arrive right in time. Asmoskon had been thinking over everything that he knew about how Hotaru fought and her zanapkauto abilities and shape when in shikai. He knew that she had some kind of liquid ability, but her power centered around fire. The only thing close that Asmoskon could associate this with was gasoline. That being said he knew she could use it from both her blade and the cannon that formed on her left hand.
If he was going to win this exchange he was going to need strategy and wit on his side. In the last month his own abilities had seemed to flourish, but he wasn't sure if it was going to be enough to close the gap of power that she had placed between the two of them. If he won or not he knew wasn't the end result or something that mattered all that did was that she didn't die and he didn't hold back most of his power. That last part was going to be a problem due to his reluctance at revealing his new bow.
Driving into the park and then rushing to the spot that they had first met Asmoskon finds Hotaru laying on the grass appearing to be asleep. "Well I guess I'm late yet again." Smiling to himself as he walks over to the shinigami that held a thick string to his heart and spirit Asmoskon sits down next to her. Waiting a few moments in order for his sudden arrival to hopefully awake her he begins to speak. "I didn't think you'd show up early for a fight you can't win lovely."

Hotaru was dreaming of something she thought was pretty interesting. It was all in third person view, so she could watch what she was doing. She was there with Asmos, in the park having a picnic. They were talking about normal things that any couple would talk about, how each other's days were, what they planned to do for the rest of the week, etc... But, when the got up from their blanket, she saw something on her finger. It was a ring on her left hand ring finger.
She almost couldn't believe it. She continued watching and noticed that Asmos had a matching ring on his left hand as well. Why was she having a dream like this? It didn't make sense. But, as she watched they were really happy together. They held hands as they walked off, still talking together, heads close, like she's seen the other humans do when they were in relationships. It was nice to see.
Then, she felt something next to her. She just thought that it was part of the dream, so she at first ignored it. Then, she heard Asmos' voice say "I didn't think you'd show up early for a fight you can't win lovely." She smiled at that and woke up to see Asmos' smiling face looking down on her. "I didn't think the fate of a fight was decided based off luck alone, my sweet." She slowly got up and when she did, she kissed him right on the mouth for a few seconds.
She then sat up completely straight and went in for a hug with him. It was a quick one, but it was still a hug. They needed to meet up more, and she was completely okay with fighting him every time they did if it meant she could see him more. They had agreed earlier that they would meet up again to test their new skills and powers against each other. Last time, she was definitely waning compared to him, but she hoped they were more of equals now.
She looked back up towards the beautiful sky and the beautiful day it brought with it. It was the perfect day for a good sparring with her special one. She looked back towards him and then beyond, to the actual forest. It seemed surreal for her that she could be so happy, but it was nice. She looked back towards Asmos. "Well, I guess it's time for the spar. So, do I need to give you a headstart this time or what?" She said it playfully and winked at him while she said it. She also was now standing by Asmos on the ground, offering her hand to help him up.

In all truth Asmoskon was actually taken off guard by Hotaru sudden kiss. While it hadn't been the first time she had done the action based off just reuniting with him he just wasn't able to hide his smile afterwards. With the small amount of blush and his smile fading as the hug between them ended Asmoskon looked Hotaru in the eyes and began to speak. "Well lets find out who has the best guess then beautiful." Standing up just after Hotaru had done so Asmoskon begins to step back a few feet.
While Hotaru was a mainly close combat Shinigami Asmoskon being a Quincy specialize in distance. However, that limitation was nothing any longer and that's one thing he planned to make apparent to Hotaru. It truly couldn't have been any better for this spar to actually happen. The day was clear and beautiful and it seemed as though no one other than the both of them were actually in the park. Turning around once Asmoskon had put five feet between them he faces Hotaru with a grin.
In the next instant a black bow materializes in Asmoskon's left hand. This bow though wasn't the same that Hotaru had always seen Asmoskon at his side during battles against hollows. It was small and thinner yet held the same appearance. If any kind of link besides the wielder could be phased it would be siblings. In truth his new bow looked as if it was the little brother of that black longbow Hotaru had seen so much.
"Just because your the most important person don't expect me to hold back my love." At the end of his statement Asmoskon brings up his bow and pulls back the string in a swift maneuver that would seem far above what he could do the last time Hotaru had seen him. This single arrow was aiming to strike Hotaru dead center in the chest only a few inches away from her heart. Asmoskon hoped that it would serve as a single not to hold back against him. As soon as the arrow would reach Hotaru Asmoskon would already be executing a cartwheel to the right while firing off an arrow in mid air aimed for Hotaru's left thigh.

Asmos stood up and walked back a few feet, getting ready to start the fight. She was replaying what he said to her in her mind. Let's find out who has the best guess then beautiful. It made her smile every time she heard him say something like that. It was also still good to see that he was still taken by surprise sometimes when she kissed him. She saw the smile spread across his face afterwards and she noticed after the hug, they faded. It was nice to know that he was always happy to see her.
Once he had walked far enough for him, he turned around and grinned at her. She grinned back. She could tell that he was going to enjoy testing his skills. She was too. She wanted to see just how strong he had become based off her own advancement. She had finally become a seated officer, something that takes her one step closer to what she really wanted. But now, with Asmos in her life, her priorities were different. The dream she had was definitely testament to that.
She saw him materialize his bow. But, she had to do a double-take. It wasn't his bow, at least one she's seen before. It was still black, but it was smaller. It wasn't his traditional longbow. It was smaller, almost the size of a regular bow, but there was something else different about it. It looked to be a lot thinner than his other bow as well. She wondered that if his powers were now magnified due to the smaller bow. She would find out.
Before he started, he told her that just because she was the most important person to not expect him to hold back my love. It made her smile even more after he said that. Right after he said that, he brought his bow up and swiftly released an arrow. She could tell he meant business. She watched as the first arrow was coming at her chest. The speed was competely different from the first time they fought. He was definitely a lot stronger. She definitely couldn't hold back.
Since it was so strong, she had to Shunpo over to the right and up a little to avoid that arrow. She saw Asmos perform a cartwheel, she would have to try that sometime, before aiming another arrow at her left thigh. The speed was too great for her, so she had to Shunpo again. She drew her sword and stuck it out in front of her, blade facing to the right. This time, she appeared on Asmos' right side. She looked over to him and said, "Don't expect me to hold back either my everything." She then slashed at him with her sword.

Well it seemed that his arrows might in fact prove to be a problem for his love. Asmoskon wasn't entirely sure if Hotaru would be at the same level that she was the last time he saw her. In all truth that decision couldn't be set yet due to the spar just beginning. What did seem to instill more confidence in the Quincy was that Hotaru seemed to need to Shunpo. This meant that her base speed hadn't reached a point that would grant her enough time to evade his arrows at close distance without the stepping technique.
While Asmoskon was in mid cartwheel he did notice that his second arrow seemed to pass through nothing. I was then that he knew Hotaru had used Shunpo once again. She wasn't in his sight which left only one possible location for a warrior of her type to be now. Just as Hotaru's zanpakuto was about to slash across Asmoskon's right side the Quincy vanished from sight. Asmoskon had used his own stepping technique to evade her attack. Although he had only learned it recently he didn't think that Hirenkyaku would be needed so soon.
In the next instant Asmoskon appeared again about ten feet from Hotaru in front of her. Ten feet away he felt would be far more than enough room for him to keep Hotaru on the defensive. Firing off another arrow just as he appeared from the stepping technique aimed right for Hotaru's chest again. Asmoskon wasn't completely sure if this time the arrow was going to be to fast for Hotaru to dodge. The reason being was that Asmoskon had to think of a plan to caught the Shinigami off guard. So for this single arrow Asmoskon made sure that it would travel far slower in an attempt to throw her off. (Arrow Speed 200)
Once the arrow was fired from the spine of his bow Asmoskon pulled back the string again only this time it seemed he put more concentration into the arrow. Asmoskon in all truth wasn't so sure it was wise to use his new technique against Hotaru, but if he was going to defeat her without revealing his new bow he would need it and this was the perfect moment. When the first arrow got about half way between the two of them Asmoskon fired off the second arrow aimed right behind the first in an attempt to hide its presence.
This second arrow however was anything, but normal. Just as it started to close the distance between the first arrow and itself it split apart into two separate arrows. The only thing that might seem more strange would be the thin string like reiatsu connecting the two arrows. Asmoskon hoped that Hotaru would overlook the string and simply dismiss these two arrows since now both seemed to be off to the sides in an attempt to fool her from the first arrow. It was a risking strategy, but if Verwüstung worked it might prove to much for Hotaru.

Once Hotaru had swung her sword towards him, she was surprised to find out that he wasn't there. He did not have this speed in their last spar. She actually hasn't seen any speed like this from him before ever. She knew he was fast, but that movement was much like her Shunpo technique, since it seemed too fast for one person to be. She had no idea that Quincy had anything like a step technique. She would definitely have to remember it when she went up against him again.
She got back into her fighting stance, trying to use her senses to figure out where he actually went. It was then that she saw him about ten feet away from her. It was obvious that he was trying to keep her on the defensive while he was using his strength of long range combat. Every time she would move in close, he would keep jumping away to give himself more distance. He couldn't keep that up forever though. It would be then when she could make her move.
She had to figure out a way to tire him out enough that he couldn't use that kind of speed anymore. It would be difficult, but she had to find a way. Once he appeared, he shot off another arrow and aimed for the same area, her chest. She was wondering why he kept aiming at her chest. Could he just not stop staring at it? Or was it to just show he meant business? Honestly, she didn't care either way. She was going to at least put up a better fight than she did the first time.
But, there was something interesting about the speed of this arrow. It was slower than the ones he shot at her earlier. It was strange that he would do this. Though, she would like to think she knew Asmos fairly well. He has a brilliant mind for strategy. She had a little idea that this first arrow was just to let her guard lessen. She wasn't going to go for that. She kept her sword up and took a deep breath to steady herself. She would find a way around this.
She did notice that after he shot the first arrow, he released a second arrow. She could tell that this one was different. When it got close to the first arrow, she saw that it split into two different arrows. So now, she had three arrows coming at her fairly quickly. She didn't have the strength to break them, she could tell that much, nor the normal speed to dodge them very effectively. It seemed that her Asmos had learned a few tricks while they've been apart.
She decided that she needed to Shunpo again to get away from the arrows. She looked over to see where Asmos was and figured that she should be able to travel that distance in one Shunpo. She ran towards the arrows and before they hit her, she Shunpoed right in front of Asmos. She decided to try one of her new techniques out on him, if it hit him. Right when she would've appeared at the end of the Shunpo, she immediately went into the Flash Blossom technique, leaving almost no time for Asmos to retaliate. If it hit him, it would appear to him as if she teleported right behind him. While doing so, she would hit and seal his Saketsu and Hakusui in one strike.
OOC Reiatsu: 1250/1400 -50 for Shunpo, -100 for Flash Blossom
A special Shunpo technique where one moves to their opponents back. Directly attacking and sealing one's "Saketsu" (First Soul Chain) and "Hakusui" (Second Soul Chain) in one strike. The movement is so fast that an opponent may not be able to tell whether he was attacked from the front or the back and even an outside observer may find it impossible to tell what the movements are. Uses 100 Reiatsu per use. To use this particular brand of shunpo, the user must train to learn it. It is treated as a class 5 technique. As opposed to Shunpo, a 10x increase, Senka is an 11x increase.
How to use technique:
A focus of reishi around the feet area, and then launching off into a single step which blurs, not unlike teleportation in appearance, except it is simply extremely fast movement. Often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat, or to dodge incoming attacks.

Watching as his arrows soared through the air toward Hotaru Asmoskon was surprised to witness her charge forward. It seemed immediately as if his technique and plan were cast aside. There would be no point waiting to watch Hotaru shunpo to safety from Asmoskon's arrows. He knew she was going to rely on her stepping technique to evade the three arrows that she saw and possible the reiatsu string connecting two of them. All that reiatsu that he thought would come in handy for one of his new techniques was wasted.
Just when Hotaru and the arrows were barely two feet from one another Asmoskon began to change the angle of his body and lift his weight using his muscle toward the back. If a new technique wouldn't aid Asmoskon in defeating his love then maybe his new found talent in acrobatics would have to give him an edge. Just as Hotaru disappeared Asmoskon flipped himself backwards leaping off of the ground. His legs tucked inward against his stomach Asmoskon flips multiple times through the air until he is about six feet above the ground and four feet away from where he had been standing.
Everything was blurred all the colors around him flashing by so fast he could barely make out what he saw. Then came the noise of Hotaru's arrival. Asmoskon had heard the sound that was caused when shunpo either started or was finished. Asmoskon fought his body forward against spinning backwards. This caused him to cease spinning and while extending his legs downward Asmoskon took aim and fired off an arrow from his bow aimed right for Hotaru's left shin. If successful the arrow wouldn't penetrate through her shin, but only cause a deep cut on the outer side.
As the arrows flew from the spine of his bow Asmoskon grinned downward at Hotaru signaling his confidence and playful attitude against her. While at the same time of his grin the sound of the single arrow penetration through the bark and flesh of a tree in the park was heard. Only a moment later as the arrow closed in on Hotaru the sound of a huge explosion just behind her was heard. Asmoskon's technique had worked itself around the tree and caused the explosion. Although it wasn't what he had planned Asmoskon thought this might aid him in taking Hotaru by surprise.

Hotaru was trying to see what Asmos was doing while she was starting her attack and running at his arrows. He looked a little surprised by her forwardness by running at his attack full force. She normallly wouldn't be like this with an attack. But, since she was going to avoid it, she wanted to make it look good. Especially against Asmos. She didn't want him to see that her training was for nothing. She smiled right before she disappeared.
When she reappeared, she noticed that he had moved and was currently spinning in the air. She looked and saw that he was still about mid-flip. She was just staring at him while he was fighting against his current spin and was extending his legs downwards. When he did that, he took aim at her and shot off an arrow. Since he hadn't really moved too far from where he was originally, they were still in pretty close proximity.
It was going to give her a little bit of a problem trying to dodge this insanely fast arrow. It was faster than her, but right before she could react, she heard this huge explosion. She didn't feel any hollows close by, but she didn't want to take any chances. By pure instinct, she turned her head towards the direction of the explosion. It was by some trees so she thought that it could've been caused by one of his earlier arrows.
She was hitting herself for doing it, because by the time she turned back towards Asmos, his arrow had gotten her, causing a fairly deep gash at the outside of her left shin. It stun like nobody's business. She wasn't going to give her pain away. It was a deep cut, but it was nothing that she couldn't handle. She took a breath and ran at Asmos. She wanted to try a new technique against him. She wanted to run up as close as she could and once she got one meter away from him, or less, she performed a Shunpo Eichi and landed four feet away on his right side. Hopefully, the wave that she emitted that was equal to her strength would knock him off guard.

Asmoskon watched as his arrow made contact with Hotaru's shin and blood splashed to the ground below. In all honesty Asmoskon hated the fact that he was able to just inflict injury on Hotaru. It wasn't the aspect that Hotaru was weaker than him and that he would worry about her when he wasn't around that wasn't the reason. The reason he hated it was that he was fine with doing it. He didn't seem to be effected in anyway other than hating himself.
This wasn't the time though to be hindered by his feelings toward his on inhumanity. Hotaru was rushing forward again and although she didn't use shunpo Asmoskon knew if she got close enough that he was going to be in trouble. Right before Asmoskon could focus his reiatsu on the souls of hi feet and ride it to safety yet again Hotaru vanished from sight. Asmoskon only had a moment to use Hirenkyaku in order to get away that much he knew.
However, right as he felt his reiatsu condense below his feet and was able to get away he felt a sudden force fling him right as his feet even touched the grass covered ground. It was as if Asmoskon was being pushed from the ground itself yet his body was covered in pure pain. As he soared through the air he couldn't help, but cough and with it came blood. He only managed to open his eyes slightly as his body fell toward the ground about ten feet from where he had been only about a moment before to see Hotaru. Asmoskon wasn't entirely sure what the Shinigami had done, but whatever it was took him by surprise.
His back hit the ground hard and caused him to grasp in pain while rolling onto his right side. Looking toward Hotaru Asmoskon knew that he needed to do something before she utilized shunpo and finished him off. Extending his short bow outward in a horizontal fashion he concentrates his reiatsu at the center of the spine. In the next moment a large amount of reiatsu became visible for only a moment only to vanish as arrow after arrow were fired from the bow right toward Hotaru.

Hotaru watched as the shockwave from her new Shunpo technique hit Asmoskon. It seemed like before he got hit by her Shunpo, he was going to try out a new technique himself. The shockwave hit him pretty hard. She had hoped to avoid hard hits, but it was inevitable that hits would start to get harder and the battle went on. She told herself that he was the one that drew first blood, so it was only fair.
He coughed while in the air from the Shunpo and she saw a little bit of blood come out as well. He must've got hit harder than she thought for him to be coughing blood, no matter how much blood it was. It made her feel bad that she caused that much damage to him. Once he landed on the ground, she heard the gasp of pain and he rolled onto his right side. She could tell that the fall was painful, but at least no limbs got chopped off.
Once he rolled to his right side, he looked at her. She knew that his mind was working on trying to find a way to defeat her. She noticed that when he got into fights, he pretty much had a one-track mind on defeating his opponent. There were a few exceptions to that rule, but not many. Usually when he fought with others, he would take them into account with his battle plans, giving advice to the others while he and the others would attack at once.
In that aspect, he looked out for them, making sure they were well. But, more so if she was in the group. He always made sure that he did his best to protect her while letting her fight her own battles. She loved that about him. She watched as he decided on a course of action and drew his bow. She felt a spike of his reiatsu and then she watched a flurry of arrows coming towards her. It was insane that he could shoot off that many arrows, all moving at his speed.
She had to think rather quickly on how to try to avoid all the arrows. She knew that a Shunpo could work, but she didn't want to just Shunpo like crazy around this place, using up all her reiatsu. There had to be another way to avoid this. She quickly sensed their strength and the arrows were even stronger than her. She had no choice but to Shunpo away. Sadly, she had taken too long and before the Shunpo took effect and she appeared five feet away from Asmoskon, some of the arrows had hit.
Once she reappeared, she saw that four arrows had hit before she got away. She left the arrows in, since they would hold back some of the bleeding. If she would've pulled them out, she wouldn't have the time to completely tape up her midsection to stop all the bleeding. So, this was her compromise. She figured that she would just run at him and see what he would do. So, she gets at the ready and runs at him full speed, having her sword out to attempt to slash him from right to left.

Asmoskon lay on the ground his right shoulder still pressed hard against the grass of the park. This was suppose to be a spar to test one another's abilities and improvement yet it seemed that wounds were getting much too serious. He watched as the arrows were fired from the spin of his bow outward toward Hotaru. The only thing Asmoskon was expecting was for her to vanish from his sight and then feel incredible pain from behind. However, his pupils dilated in shock as he saw hesitation.
He knew that his arrows were so close now that he doubted Hotaru could evade the even with shunpo. Yet she had to evade them if Klavier was completely successful in landing even half of it's shots Hotaru would be nothing more than a memory. That simple thought felt like an arrow itself had pierced through Asmoskon's heart leaving an empty cold feeling for a brief moment at the point of most warmth. Asmoskon couldn't ever allow Hotaru to vanish from life let alone by his own actions. If the Shinigami began, but a memory than so would the ideals and happiness of the Dark Quincy.
Asmoskon knew though that once Klavier was activated there was no way to stop its relentless assault of arrows. He had no way to stop the onslaught of arrows that would kill his beloved. Just as everything seemed bleak and Asmoskon couldn't come up with some way to hold back the arrows Hotaru vanished from his vision. Yet Asmoskon's eyes didn't eve give him a brief moment of hope. He was an archer and all archers require trained eyes. That moment that Hotaru vanished so did the first arrows of the assault.
In the next moment Hotaru reentered his vision yet covered in blood with the sight of four of his arrows pierced into her body. Asmoskon couldn't believe what he was seeing. Why did h learn such a technique? Why did he use the technique when he knew the possible consequences? When he learned the technique he knew how dangerous it could be if used incorrectly so why now did he use it against Hotaru. It made no sense to him why he had been so bold and irrational. Yet Hotaru continued to fight ad charged toward him with her zanpakuto at the ready.
Klavier was still going however the short bow now was held absentmindedly due to the onslaught of guilt and bleak thoughts that tormented Asmoskon's mind. This resulted in the ground in front of him to take the assault of ten arrows causing it to have a large hole. Asmoskon knew that he needed to raise his bow and simply finish off the technique on Hotaru to show her that he was stronger now then she could even imagine. Yet he couldn't do it Asmoskon couldn't bare the thought of inflicting further harm upon Hotaru even if it meant losing a battle of competition and honor.
Raising his left hand above his head causing the remaining ten arrows to be shot high into the sky Asmoskon stared toward Hotaru as she continued her charge. Moving quickly onto his foot yet in a crouch Asmoskon struggled to gather his thoughts. Then came the pain. Asmoskon's left hand had built of all the reiatsu and Klavier had released it all in such a short amount of time that stem was emanating from the bow and Asmoskon's left hand bracing his body on the ground. This pain seemed to snap Asmoskon's mind back into battle.
Although Hotaru had been injured probably more than she would willingly admin Asmoskon knew I would be the greatest dishonor to willing forfeit or concede defeat. Hotaru was like him she lived by the laws of honor and the ideal to save as many innocence as possible. He couldn't do her that injustice and dishonor. His head had skunk downward toward his hand however now it rose once again to see Hotaru only about four feet away readying her slash. His eyes stared so into Hotaru's revealing to her own the intent of battle and victory.
Just as Hotaru would attempt to swing her zanpakuto Asmoskon would vanish from sight utilizing Hirenkyaku once again to vanish from sight. Asmoskon was now over by the pond of the park about thirty feet away from where Hotaru now stood. Asmoskon stared at Hotaru holding nothing, but sternness in his eyes. "I'm sorry for my disrespect Hotaru. I've been toying with you until this point. You've been injured to gravely for this spar to continue much longer and so I have come to a conclusion. I will make up for my insult by allowing you to be the first to witness my new power. My dear release your zanpakuto if you wish to last more than another minute."
In the next moment Asmoskon's short black bow vanished from his left hand. It was obvious to see that Asmoskon was concentrating heavily however on what seemed obliviousness. After another few moment his dark red reiatsu flourished around his left around and into his hand. In the next moment the air seemed to get thicker and gain twice the weight it held prior. Suddenly a long black bow materialized in his left hand. It was only slightly longer than the black bow Hotaru had seen him use so many times before yet this bow had what appeared to be a thick arrow holder on the outside of the spine. "Gerechtigkeit" and with that Asmoskon stared into Hotaru once again revealing only his seriousness that she release her zanpakuto.

While she was charging at him, she didn't take into account that that wasn't all of his arrows. She did realize that this fight that was supposed to be for pure fun, showing off skills and trying to improve each other. They were starting to go all out. And, honestly, she felt that was the only way she felt that she could handle Asmos. Even when he used his regular bow, he always kept her on the top of her game.
But, thinking back on what she saw on his face while he started to shoot the arrows at her, it seemed that he had made a mistake in using the technique that he was using now. She knew that he cared a great deal for her and she knew that he didn't want to hurt her on purpose. Maybe he thought that releasing the technique that he did could cause too much damage to her and would end her life.
She did hesitate, which was her fault. If she wasn't just standing there, debating on what to do, she wouldn't have got the injuries. And honestly, they didn't hurt too much. She's been through way worse with Sozen. But, once she disappeared, she watched as he still looked pretty bleak while she did evade the first of his arrows. She didn't have any idea that he would produce more, since she thought that those were it.
Once she had reappeared into his vision, she watched as his eyes did get a little bit bigger. He looked pretty surprised that she took some of the damage. She was bleeding, but she had been hurt way worse than this. But, Asmoskon didn't know that, so he was probably surprised to see her this way. She didn't think it was too bad of a bleeding from the wounds, since she didn't remove the arrows, but oh well.
It seemed his technique was still going, so now Asmoskon was shooting the next arrows into the ground. It seemed like he was feeling bad for her injuries. She was starting to feel the cut on her shin now that she was actively running on it, but really it still wasn't anything too sever. Then, he raised his left hand over his head and the rest of the arrows went into the sky. Now, Asmoskon was starting to get up from the ground while she was still running at him.
She looked at him and could tell that he was definitely more powerful. She liked to think she was as well, but his strength was way more noticeable now than it was before. She definitely wanted to spar with him again sometime. She assumed from the look on his face and some of the hesitation she's seen in him was from what he did to her with that technique. She really should've just avoided when she first saw them.
Asmoskon bowed his head to look at his left hand and when he looked back up at her, she was almost upon him. She was ready to slash at him. But, he looked back at her with great intensity. He was ready to do battle with her and win this fight. She wasn't going to make it easy for him, that was for sure. Even with her injuries, he had to know that she would fight to her dying breath. But, she also knew that he would do the same.
Right before the blade touched Asmoskon, he disappeared, using what she assumed was a step technique to completely vanish. She stopped herself after the slash and looked down at her midsection. She slashed off the ends of the arrows, leaving the heads of the arrows inside to stop the bleeding. Once he reappeared, he was closer to the pond, weaponless. Asmoskon stared at her with a stern resolve. She replied in kind to him.
Next, he said, "I'm sorry for my disrespect Hotaru. I've been toying with you until this point. You've been injured to gravely for this spar to continue much longer and so I have come to a conclusion. I will make up for my insult by allowing you to be the first to witness my new power. My dear release your zanpakuto if you wish to last more than another minute." She was a little surprised that he actually said that. He must have a release. She didn't know much of the Quincies, but she was curious to see how it looked.
He stood there and she could tell that he was concentrating. She unattached her sheath from her belt, raising both that and her sword out in front of her. She waited to release after she saw what Asmos' release looked like. She watched his dark red reiatsu manifested itself around his left hand. Then, she felt a weight in the air and a long black bow manifested in his left hand. It looked like his regular one, except a little longer and something on the outside of the spine.
He then said the word Gerechtigkeit. She had no idea what that meant, but it sounded German to her. He looked back towards her again, same sternness in his eyes, waiting for her to release. "Burn, Rivu~aiasan!" She felt the familiar crawl up her left arm so her cannon manifested and her sword turned into her fire sword once again. The first thing she did, however, was rip all four arrow heads from her mid section. She did grimace with each pull, but right when all the arrow heads were out, she cauterized them with her sword. She stood at the ready now, staring into Asmos' eyes. "I give you the first turn, love of my life."

Asmoskon stood watching and waiting as Hotaru activated her shikai release resulting in the familiar cannon on her left arm. Asmoskon thought Hotaru might simply rush from once again from the start after releasing her zanpakuto however she started to pull the arrow heads from her wounds. Asmoskon fought back the bleak depression and grief that pulled at his heart, mind and attention once again. He was going to be to remain focused in order to use his release properly and keep to his word. He had told Hotaru that he was done toying with her and so he wouldn't allow himself to hold back any longer.
Once all of the arrowheads had been pulled from her wounds Hotaru started to seal each wound with the fire of her shikai. Asmoskon wouldn't stop her from doing so due to the fact that it could aid her in fighting toward her best and prolong the spar at least somewhat longer. It was then that Hotaru spoke of giving him the first move now that their releases were both active. This only resulted in a smirk spreading across Asmoskon's chin. "That's one mistake you won't last long to regret my love."
As soon as the last word left the lips of the Quincy his left arm extended outward with his right hand's index and middle fingers pulling back on the dark bowstring to the point meeting his lips. The universal maneuver of pulling an arrow back to full draw. A red arrow formed in the next moment with what seemed like slightly more detail than normal. The bow was aimed right at Hotaru for what seemed like just a moment longer than what Asmoskon normally would think necessary and in the next moment his fingers released the string unleashing five dark red reiatsu arrows from the slit in the bow.
These arrows soared from the bow straight for Hotaru moving at what seemed to be the normal speed of the previous arrows. However, a moment after they had been fired it was like they started to increase as if they were moving faster. It would only give Hotaru more than a split second to react now if she had the luck of a god she might be able to evade their onslaught. "If only she had attacked me first." Asmoskon's thoughts needed to be pushed aside for in the next minute or so Hotaru would be defeated and he would need to aid her in recovery.
