OOC: This thread is for the judgment of Academy Student Itou Kasui, who has been placed under arrest by the Third Seat of Squad 7, Zeich Yajuu, on the charges of attempted murder and resisting arrest. Attending are judges Sozen Kuchiki of Squad 6, Enma of Squad 7, and Iro Kuchiki of Squad 11.
The order will be simple: Zeich will be first to give his case before the panel of judges, and then Itou will be given the opportunity to defend himself. After that point, each judge will give their verdict on the cases given. The thread will begin after this post.
The time of the trial had come. It had been three weeks since Zeich and Itou had fought in the forest, and in that time, the student had been imprisoned and held in a cell located within the Squad 7 Barracks. The trial had been delayed for a fair amount of time rather than being done immediately, but that was simply because there were several factors in place that made it difficult to perform immediately. The first was that the Captain of Squad 7 had not been present for a fair while, and as the head of the law enforcement branch of the Gotei Thirteen, Captain Enma was expected to be present at criminal trials involving Shinigami or Shinigami candidates, such as Academy students. There were not many of these, as often such situations ended up resolving themselves, but in the rare cases where a trial did come up, Captain Enma was expected to be present.
Then there had been the matter of the bureaucratic issue of Itou’s trial. With the attacks from the Vandenreich and the general damage done to Seireitei, along with the chaos of reconstruction, there was not much political organization from Central, and manpower could not be spared for judicial work. This was why a wartime tribunal had been organized instead, with three Captains called in to give their judgment after both sides offered their case. This way, it would be a rather rapid trial, allowing for the sentence or decree of innocence to pass, whichever won out in the end. The problem was finding Captains who had time to spare away from the rebuilding and the reorganization of their squads, but as time had passed, they had managed to be found, and the date for the trial had been set.
Zeich found himself pacing in his room as he waited for the trial’s time to near. He was not included as part of the group that would be escorting Itou to the trial, as expected, because in this situation he was the prosecutor, the one who would state his case against the student before the assembled Captains. Though his face would not show it, and he would never admit it, the newly-promoted Third Seat was actually anxious about the trial. He had given reports to his superiors before, had spoken with several high-seated officers and Vice Captains, but he had never once come before one of Seireitei’s Captains before at the same time, let alone three. It was certainly an awe-inspiring situation, even for a stoic personality like Zeich’s.
Once more, the Third Seat went over his case in his head. He had two charges against Itou, both of which were considered moderate crimes as compared to something like mass homicide, but together did damn the boy’s chances somewhat. The first was attempted murder, and possibly premeditated; Zeich had been out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, with very low odds of simply encountering the one student who hated him. It was difficult to call coincidence on it, though the possibility was there; it was just very slim. The second charge was a simple judgment, a charge of resisting arrest. There was no doubt that Itou had attempted to strike and then flee when he found himself outmatched, though he was captured in the end. Together, those two crimes would likely put Itou on serious probation, maybe ban him from the Academy. At worst, it might have the student sent to the Maggot’s Nest, as his spiritual powers were starting to develop to the point of being semi-dangerous.
There were not a lot of defenses for Itou’s case. In response to the charge of attempted murder, the student may have gotten away with joking had it not been for his decision to claim he was attempting to attack Zeich “just because he could,” to paraphrase it. He attacked without motivation, yet went for fatal blows; that killed any defense he may have against the charge of murder, though it might save him from the greater offense of it being premeditated. As to the second point, there were not many ways he could deny attempting to escape arrest from Zeich. Most of them would involve claiming that the Third Seat himself was the criminal, casting the blame on him, but when it came to a suspected criminal’s word versus that of a well-known and well-trusted seated officer, Itou would easily lose. There was no case for the poor student; he was doomed in this trial.
The appointed time drew near, and Zeich prepared himself, dressing more formally for his court appearance. Rather than using his customized jacket and leather pants, the Shinigami dressed himself in a proper Shihakushō. The sleeves had been left long, concealing the wrappings along his arms, though his gloves were still visible. Zeich’s scarf was still in place as well, the only other customization to his formal wear as he concealed the scars that reminded him all too well of the way he had died… and, now that he had been reminded of it, the deal he had made with the Shadow over ownership of his body as he had lain upon the cusp of death. That thought still made him uncomfortable; what if the Shadow attacked him while he was at the court? What would the others think if he showed signs of mental insanity? There was so much that could go wrong.
Keep an eye out for him, Haiiro. Warn me if he starts acting up. Once he had made the request of his Zanpaktou, Zeich hung his Zanpaktou at his side and headed out the door, taking a moment in the hallway to compose himself. The actual trial would take place in the main courtyard of Squad 7’s barracks, as it was a military tribunal and thus under the jurisdiction of the law enforcement itself. The area was already set up; there was a small raised platform for the three judges to stand at, so that they were above those presenting their cases. Below, surrounded by a ring of five guards—unnecessary as it may be, as it was only a student, they were playing by the book—would be Itou, who was left standing before his judges and slightly to the left. Zeich, coming up from the back of the mock courtyard, would take his place to the right, the mark of the accuser rather than the accused. In many cultures, but particularly the old Latin-speaking ones, referred to the left side as “sinister,” suggesting guilt or evil, as compared to the right, which was the way things should be, the natural, the correct. This placement clearly marked Itou as the guilty party, even if his escort did not.
Zeich waited for the three judges to show themselves. The first was Iro Kuchiki, Captain of Squad 11, the squad in charge of battle and the main offenses that Soul Society made on their enemies. The second judge was Sozen Kuchiki, another noble and the head of the Kuchiki family, as well as the Captain of Squad 6; as the head of internal affairs and interrogation, he was suited for a task of judging innocence or guilt. And finally, the last judge was Captain Enma, the Captain of Squad 7, and in charge of the overall law enforcement. Between these three Captains, a decision would be made over Itou’s fate; whatever they decided would be set in stone.
Once the Captains were all present, Zeich waited until he was given permission to speak, bowing slightly before giving his case. “We are here today to judge the actions of Itou Kasui, Academy student, in his recent attempt on the life of a seated officer of Squad 7.” Zeich’s words were formal, played by the book, and delivered without emotion. The Third Seat was here to give his case logically and rationally, not just to point fingers. “As the victim of the attack, and despite the seemingly disproportionate futility of a student attacking a full-fledged Shinigami, I have come forward today to present my case before the panel of judges assembled in the hopes that they will provide a fair and just judgment upon the accused.” His opening statement was crisp, succinct, and straightforward.
Immediately following that, Zeich began to relate his case. “Three weeks ago, I happened to be awakened in the night due to difficulties sleeping, and thought to take a walk to clear my mind. As I walked, I deviated from my usual route in the hope of avoiding habitual travel patterns, and found myself in a forest near the edge of North Rukongai District 22. While I was there, Itou Kasui came out of the shadows without warning and proceeded to attack me with a bared sword, aiming specifically at the shoulder and then the throat. While the former would have merely been crippling upon success, the latter was an attempt at a fatality. Because of the direct nature of this assault, as well as its unprovoked one in the middle of a forest I had never visited before, it is suspected that I had been followed and thus determine this to be premeditated. When I defended myself and immediately after tried to arrest Itou, the convicted attempted to escape and thus resisted arrest.”
“In my case, I would like to present two felonies by which Itou is to be judged. The first is premeditated murder of a seated officer. Murder by itself is a crime, but premeditated is a cruel act of planning the taking of a life. This is a heinous act in the eyes of any culture, and most certainly a concern in this time, as we are suffering from reduced manpower due to the effects of the Vandenreich invasion. The second charge is resisting arrest by a vested officer, namely myself, and attempting to flee, further proving his likely guilt. I ask that the judges gathered here today take my words into consideration, and think rationally as you give your judgment upon the accused. Thank you.”
Zeich gave one more bow as he finished his case, and then he stepped back. Now that he had provided his case, Itou would be given an opportunity to defend himself, providing mitigating circumstances or any other way to prove the charges false. However, it was unlikely that the student would have such a case prepared, short of making it a pack of lies, which would in turn condemn him completely, damning him far more than any case made by Zeich. The Third Seat hoped that Itou would just confess and come clean with a guilty plea, so as to mitigate the worst of his punishment. Lying before a military tribunal came with severe consequences, and in a Shinigami’s case, even a hopeful’s, may lead to execution. If Itou proceeded with sincerity and honesty, he would probably only have to suffer imprisonment for a varying amount of time. What he did was up to him.

Itou sighed as he was led out of his cell. Well at least his leg was healed, he could walk pretty much perfectly, the healers in squad 4 were top notch It’s a shame you’ll never see them again Itou.... The time in his cell had been hell. Tanran, the words of Tanran mocked him. He almost went insane, a few times he had screamed at Tanran and the guards told him to shut up. It had been a terrible time for Itou, slowly driving him closer to insanity. He had only heard from Zetsumi Senzai a few times since the incident. That was mostly just her telling him to hang in there and not to give in to Tanran. However the inner hollow constantly taunted him. Itou had spent the days trying to keep his sanity, that had proved difficult however.
When Itou got to his seat he saw Zeich on the other side. The courtroom was magnificent, there were the three judges simply waiting to decide his fate, his imprisonment. He simply clenched his teeth as he tried to ignore the shrieks of Tanran’s raspy voice in his head. Why had it become like this? All he wanted to do was become a shinigami to repay his sins, even that had failed. There were no third chances in life, Itou was going to learn that the hard way. Such a waste, he’d probably end up committing suicide in prison. Some of the inmates had been particularly unfriendly. Only a few times he had heard someone say “Look at that perk ass!”
Itou listened as Zeich gave his statement. “In my case, I would like to present two felonies by which Itou is to be judged. The first is premeditated murder of a seated officer. I ask that the judges gathered here today take my words into consideration, and think rationally as you give your judgment upon the accused. Thank you.”
Itou grinned. “Yea I tried to slit his throat after he brutalized me a few months ago. However I didn’t plan it. I had a nightmare, pretty much feeling terrible as I had normally been in the academy. Lack of sleep had taken its toll on me, however this nightmare had scared me senseless, I simply couldn’t handle it, so... I began running. I ran into the forest and saw Zeich. While I wasn’t thinking straight at the time. I just felt provoked and I felt I can’t say it was justified. I’ll take whatever sentence. I just... don’t care anymore.
Suddenly Itou heard something. It was a voice, it was Tanran’s voice. Heh. Itou you’re a fool. Fell right for it and look where you are. I hope you enjoy your time in prison. Don’t worry we’ll both have someone to fuck. I’ll have Zetsumei Senzai and you’ll have those comfy inmates. Please don’t... Tanran laughed again, cackling madly as he spoke. Oh but I will and I have. Gives me something to do you see. If you have a wet dream in there just remember that it’s probably me and her okay? Then it happened. Itou snapped, he couldn’t take it anymore, without really thinking, without really meaning to he shouted out. “LEAVE ME ALONE TANRAN! IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT TANRAN?! YOU WANT ME TO SUFFER TANRAN?! YOU CAN’T BREAK ME! YOU’LL NEVER BREAK ME TANRAN! I’LL NEVER BREAK TO THE LIKES OF YOU!” Itou cried out, his voice almost cracked. He then fell to his knees, he didn’t sob, he didn’t cry. He simply slammed on fist onto the courtroom floor making a crack on it. That was it, that was his defence finished. His sudden outburst had come out of nowhere. One minute he had been simply talking casually but the next this had happened.
“I-I won’t break Tanran. I’ll never break. Just- just go to hell...” Itou said, slightly more quieter but the courtroom would still hear his voice echo. If the guards surpressed him then Itou simply wouldn’t move, his sudden burst of anger had gone, his fit of rage. He simply stopped moving, his inert body oblivious but his mind still taking in what was going on. He didn’t want to move, he didn’t want to do anything. He just wanted to sit there and sob. But he wouldn’t sob he would stay strong, strong enough to survive the maggots nest.

An unsettling feeling crossed over the entirety of the room. A feeling not of dread, but of exhaustion. A heavy pull would come to the bodies of all in the room. The entire room filled with a somnambulatory sense of heaviness, an unearthly weary sensation. It weighed down on their lids, it blurred their consciousness, and it began to drag them into blackness and the nether. This weighed on all the other judges. This weighed on those present at the trial in attendance, it weighed on those participating in the actual trial, and it weighed on both judge and jury. Not a single person in that room was exempt from feeling the dense, heavy atmosphere which was suddenly created in that trial room. All within were subjugated by it. All were contained within it.
For spectators, it was instant. All of them collapsed into a very deep sleep almost as soon as the feeling emerged into existence. For Itou, an academy student of terribly low power, it was next to instant. He would manage to feel the weariness and his body grow heavier, and then he would collapse onto the floor, out cold. He had been put to sleep. It would hit Zeich next, a seated officer in Squad 7. By matter of fact, he would very much recognize the feeling that had overtaken him. It was an all too familiar feeling. It was the feeling delivered deliberately by the presence of his own Captain, and Zeich would be used to feeling it regularly within the barracks of his own squad. In an instant, Zeich was put to sleep, nearly as instantly as Itou. First, he would be weary. Then, he would collapse.
Next was one of the judges, Sozen. Though a Captain, and a strong one at that, he had no resistance to this power. It would take longer to weigh on him, several seconds of weariness, dizziness, and fading in and out of consciousness. He would feel as if he was trying to fight sleep, the blackness closing in on him, and then his eyes abruptly opening as if from a dream. However, it was to no avail. Within seconds, Sozen Kuchiki as well would be asleep, his face planted up on the table and his mind drenched in a dreamless, intoxicating sleep. Blackness had enclosed over his very mind. Even some of the strongest in that room, even those who had fought many dangers, had never before truly experienced the mighty weight of this man's presence.
He stepped into the room calmly, quietly. He wore a skin tight black full body underarmor suit which accentuated his muscular physique, but also wore several straps and belts over his person covered in rows of kunai and other such blades. Regardless, none of these could be seen because of the white Haori which he wore to show his Captaincy. The Haori, tied shut, covered up most of his body. It was thick, and quite large, flowing more than most Haori did to conceal him. His underarmor suit had a black hood to it, which was draped over his head to conceal most of it. And, on his face, there was a terrifying, demonic oni mask. The only part of his face which could truly be seen was his eyes, and even those were hard to see because of the mask. All that could be seen in the holes was blackness.
The man that had arrived was Zeich Yajuu's Captain, the Squad 7 Captain, Enma. He arrived to a room of the asleep, for it was within his power to put those of inferior pressure to him into a deep trance, a sleep which bore them no dreams, and no awakenings. In that room, he stepped in, taking note of the only person in that room who would not be asleep. Iro Kuchiki, though not held in as high esteem as Sozen, had a latent spiritual power stronger than Sozen's, and would be able to stay awake despite Enma's spell. As a result, though he was to be made drowsy because of the atmosphere of the room being slightly contagious, Iro would be perfectly awake, and able to see the man that had arrived.
This wouldn't be Iro's first time seeing Enma, of course. Enma showed up at more than one Captain's meeting, those these were rare. Whenever Enma showed up, all of the Captains except for Iro and Kyomei, both Kuchiki in name, were put to sleep. In the past, Squad 12's Captain, Bokuga Sayuri, had also been capable of staying awake. However, in recent years, he had gone missing, and a temporary substitute, Xerxes Alejandro, had taken his place. This substitute could not stay awake when Enma arrived. As a result, only two Captains besides the Captain Commander himself could stay awake whenever Enma arrived to the meetings, though he did also allow Lorilad, Squad 4's Captain and the only man besides the Commander to have seen his face, to stay awake. Enma had power to exempt people from his sleep.
Stepping into the room, Enma looked around. He did not ascend to the high bleachers or podium where the judges were meant to reside to watch over the trial. Enma had heard it all from a distance, in hiding, his reiatsu concealed. He had then released his aura of sleep, and arrived at the scene. Pulling out a note, Enma pinned this slip of paper to the podium, at the dead center, with a very sharp kunai, leaving it there. Enma looked up at Iro Kuchiki. "Verify that I was here." Enma said. He would not be staying. He had work to be done, as he took defense of the Soul Society very seriously. He was almost never resting. Enma had left a note with his verdict on it. Enma turned away from Iro and the rest of the room.
With each step that he took, he counted down. "Five..." he took another step. "Four..." he took a second step. "Three...." he took a third step. "Two..." by the fourth step he was almost at the door which exited the building entirely. "One..." Enma left the building through the doors, which swung open to permit him to leave. As soon as the doors fell back shut, as soon as they were fully closed, as soon as the edges of the large double door entrance doors touched one another, and it was closed, the aura that Enma had used on the room lifted, and the drowsiness vanished. All would begin to wake up, feeling as if they had been lifted from a very, very deep sleep, if not a coma. All would wake up to see a note pinned into the judge's podium by a kunai.
For the crimes of attempted murder and resisting arrest:
Enma, the Lord of Hades, walked into the room dramatically after the two speeches had been given. Whilst the rest of the room slept and the Captain of Squad 7 walked to the front, Iro had some time to think. No witnesses, just a prosecutor who is the victim, and a perpetrator, who has admitted to the crime, but is trying to pull the insanity card. It's a convincing act, for sure, but he's going about it the wrong way. Screaming at his Zanpakutou spirit is going to do nothing for him. This was a troubled kid, and it was only Iro's neutrality in matters of the Soul Society that had him be a judge for this. As Enma got closer, the Kuchiki said one thing to him before the Captain himself gave instructions. "Why are three Captains here for a trial involving an Academy student? There's no reason to take up our time."
"Verify that i was here" Iro nodded to the legendary man in order to say that he heard and understood the words. As a new Captain, Iro still differed to the more experienced men in many circumstances. And this was the domain of Enma, it was his squad, his subordinate, his job. So when the order came by paper "Sentence Itou to five years in the Maggot's Nest, Do not Execute" Iro was confused, but he accepted it. This was an Academy Student. Yes he had done wrong, but rather than be expelled and have his zanpakutou cut from him to make him no longer a threat, instead of sending him to a rough time in the Maggot's Nest. But who was Iro to argue? When everyone awoke, Iro spoke. "The Lord of Hades has spo... decreed, that Itou will serve time in the Maggot's Nest. Maybe the hard time will cure him of this insanity and hostility to his Zanpakutou Spirit. Squad 11, neutral in this matter, will uphold the decision of Squad 7."

Sozen's eyes started to open, and he rose from out of the blackness. Weariness weighed in on him, and he felt dreary, as if he had just awoken from a deep slumber of many, many hours. Sozen was not used to feeling this heavy when he woke up. He could tell that he had not been sleeping in his bed, else he would have felt more rested. He could not have slept for very long, even if it felt like he had been asleep for days. He could not remember immediately what was going on or where he was, only that he had been asleep on some sort of table.
Looking around him as he came to, glancing about, Sozen saw that there were many people who were in the same state as himself. Sozen's mind started to put the pieces together. He was in a courtroom, summoned there to be a judge in a trial of an academy student, something unheard of before in the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. Three Captains for this trial. It could only mean that someone of importance had been offended. It could be a noble, or maybe it was just an officer of Squad 7, the policing squad. They did have that kind of judgment power. Sozen was not far off, remembering who everyone was.
Next to him was his cousin, Iro Kuchiki, who seemed perfectly wide awake. Just coming to, later than Sozen, were the accuser, Zeich of Squad 7, and the accused, academy student Itou. Sozen's mind was quick to begin filling in the pieces. He was one of the three judge Captains, and was annoyed about it because he had far more important things to do with his life than be the judge for an academy student. The person that he was condemning was Itou, whose argument he had heard just moments before. Itou had been saying something about not planning the attack, while Zeich was saying it was premeditated.
After that, everything had gone black. Sozen had been put to sleep by something. He remembered the arguments, and that he was one of three judges. Sozen Kuchiki, Iro Kuchiki, and...that made sense. Enma. The third had been Squad 7's Captain, Enma. For some strange reason, Enma did not like being seen, nor did he like interaction. Ever the recluse, he had a nasty habit of putting people to sleep when he entered a room. Sozen was not immune to this power, even at Captain's meetings, and had therefore been put to sleep upon Enma's arrival. Sozen was impressed that Enma even had that kind of power over so many Captains, however, and was intrigued rather than offended.
Sozen saw the note, heard Iro's agreement with the verdict, and knew that at that point his vote no longer mattered since it came down to two out of three, majority. Had it been Sozen's say, and had he been able to speak before Enma's arrival, Sozen would have had the accused sentenced to death. It was swifter and more efficient than imprisonment. Since a two out of three verdict however had already decided this one's fate, Sozen knew that he had to agree with his cousin and with the note left behind by Squad 7's Captain. "I agree. Five years in the Maggot's Nest will be an adequate punishment." Sozen said.

(OOC: Sorry for bad post)
Five years... That wasn’t so bad. He was a shinigami anyway so he could live for very long so five years was really nothing. Luckily however Tanran had stopped taunting him, he had probably gotten bored or something. Either way Itou was free from the voice, for now he was free. “Tch. Fine I’ll go peacefully... Itou thought as he let himself get marched to the maggots nest. Tsk. I’ll definitely be back for you Tanran. When I come back you better be gone. Itou thought to himself. Tanran simply cackled. Heh you little cunt. You don’t get it. I won’t ever be gone! Itou simply laughed in his head. We’ll see about that...

Two guards were leading Itou into the Maggot's Nest, which lay underground. The Nest, as it was "affectionately" called by its inhabitants, was where those who posed a threat to Soul Society went. There were several levels. The first one was for those who might pose a threat. Criminals who had failed in their attempts, such as Itou, would find themselves there. Sometimes, people who had the potential to do things, without ever actually doing things, would end up there. It was "potential risk," more than actual proved risk.
The floor below that was criminals who had proven that they were risky. They had killed, slaughtered, etc. There was a misconception that the Senzaikyu was used for all imprisonment. Senzaikyu was used only to imprison high level prisoners, who posed so much of a threat that they had to be locked up in a special anti-sensory, anti-reiatsu prison in rows of solitary cells. Their power was so great that the Nest would not be able to contain them. Most of the real low level criminals were on the second floor underground of the Nest. Itou, who had failed in his crime, would not be going to the second floor, only the first. It was lucky for him.
The third floor, by far the worst, was where those who were of exceptional potential to cause damage were placed. The sadistic, the superbly intelligent yet conniving, and worse were placed there. Some had tortured people. Others had been low ranking Shinigami. Some were so skilled in combat that they had murdered up to a dozen combatants at once, and had been subdued by a Shinigami of third seat status at least to be able to be imprisoned. The third floor was easily the place that no one wanted to end up in, though there was a fourth floor below it, which housed only one prisoner. The third floor had rows of cells, but the fourth had only one cell, and was absolute solitary confinement.
"Scumbag..." one of the Shinigami escording Itou said. "You're a lowlife who tried to kill one of your own comrades. You're lucky to be feeling anything below the neck." It was provocative, but Itou couldn't do anything about it. He was being escorted by two seated officers, which meant that in power they were so far above him that it wasn't even worth trying to speak to them. He was a bug. Strangely, and unannounced to Itou, Sozen Kuchiki himself had requested specifically for two seated officers to be the escorts for Itou, having done so after witnessing a suspicious, bi-polar outburst from the former academy student during his court session.
They threw him into the Maggot's Nest afterward, locking the door behind him. It vanished into the wall, leaving him surrounded only by walls in a vast, expansive room that resembled a high school gymnasium. There were rocks all over the place. It was full of people of varying shapes, sizes, and fitness that all wore white robes, as Itou now wore, for he was a prisoner. Some were walking around and groaning, while others were actually talking. Immediately, one of them came up to Itou. It was three meters tall, extremely fat and puffy, and resembled a marshmallow in that white robe. With a fist several times bigger than Itou's head, it punched toward him.

When Itou was led to the prison he was actually surprised at what he was looking at. In the human world prisons were gloomy, depressing and people would mostly be in their cells. This place resembled a high school gymnasium, it seemed kind of welcoming in a way. There were many people around, there were a lot of rocks. It actually seemed like the perfect place for exercise and keeping fit. Well at least he wouldn’t be keeping unfit, rotting in a cell and doing nothing for five years. He could actually do something productive in his years there then after he got out he didn’t know what he would do. Either way this place didn’t seem that bad at all...
Itou then saw the guy, he almost didn’t noticed him since he was two feet shorter than him. He was very wide, fat. Itou then saw him clench his fists and he immediately knew something was going wrong. When the fist came towards him Itou pivoted, swerving to the side and avoiding it. This also put him in a good position to counter attack. Without a second thought he used the back of his fist and slammed it on the side of his head. If this connected it would make the guy extremely dazed and he would be thrown onto the ground. Itou did have 375 strength after all. After that Itou spoke to him. “What’s your problem? Think new people are easy?” Itou snarled, both his fists clenched and still ready for an attack.

The big man fell over with a grunt, and then got back up as if nothing happened. He was very big, but very slow. However, he also was very strong and very sturdy. Itou didn't seem to have done any damage at all to him. He groaned and looked around, his mouth open. Drool started pouring out of his mouth onto the floor, and he made a strange, very loud groaning noise with his mouth. "Auuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh....." he said. He had attacked Itou probably because he didn't know any better. He was probably here because of severe mental handicap, and wasn't even aware of what was really going on.
Around the room were a lot of interesting people. A lot of variety. A lot of them were just really big and strong, others were small and fragile. At least half had some sort of a visible mental handicap. The other half consisted of timid, scrawny little ones with glasses, or large muscular men with rage filled eyes. Some were just demented looking, and others appeared to be normal people in every way. There were those who had violent tendencies, split personalities, and the potential to become serial killers. Everyone in that room was like Itou. They all had some kind of demon that they were fighting.
Itou's next choice was the option to talk to someone, anyone. There were many to choose from. In one corner was a large, muscular, tanned man with no shirt and black hair in a long braided pony tail. He also had a black beard. Nearby Itou was a scrawny little teenager with square glasses. Also nearby Itou was a tall, slender man with no hair, and a chubby face despite his skin body. Everything in that room varied, and there were far more people that were available for Itou to talk to. There were many people there. It was a big room. How would he start? That was up to him.
