All right folks. I've decided to do a little something extra with my free time here. In short, I'm going to be running a D&D campaign. Edition is 3.5, and I'm allowing 5 people in. There are going to be some slight Guidelines, however.
First off, I will be personally helping each and every one of you make your character. No books are required on your part. Secondly, there are certain character types not allowed. The list is as such: Any and ALL Psionic characters, Samurai, Ninja, Wu-Jen. Thirdly, I am going to be strenuously stressing an overall balanced Party, as per the following list:
TANK - The big guy, the bruiser, the person people can't simply ignore. Stereotypical class example: Fighter. Bleach Example: Squad 11
STRIKER - The people who get in, deal a shitton of damage, and get out. Stereotypical class example: Rogue. Bleach Example: Squad 2
HEALER - Exactly what it says on the tin. Stereotypical class example: Cleric (though Cleric can also Tank). Bleach Example: Squad 4
AoE ATTACKER - Another obvious one. Stereotypical class example: Wizard. Bleach Example: Squad 5
THE FACE - The people person, the one who can actually be capable of non-violent solutions.
The roles can most certainly interact and cover each other, meaning that it is possible to fill in multiple roles at once.
Now that is taken care of, background time. The campaign will take place in the city-state of Korvosa, a thriving trade hub where law is supreme. However, that isn't to say that crime does not exist in Korvosa. Indeed, crime can be a rampant problem in the city. The larger criminal organizations, such as the Azure Brotherhood, the Cult of the Red Mantis, and Scarnzi families tend to have less of an effect on the masses than the smaller, individual crimelords. Our story begins with the effect that one of these smaller crimelords had on a select group of individuals: The PC's.
If this interests you, post a reply stating which role you'd like to fufill, and basic character idea.
