The King's Gauntlet has brought these two together under conditions default of the tournament! It takes place in a gigantic Colosseum, so feel free to treat it as your battle playground!

All around the Colosseum it was dead silent, Nothing could be seen but a few old faded leaves that blew across the sand that had been sitting in the Colosseum for many years past. It was a weary scene, one that indicated something big was about to happen. Suddenly the south gate opened and a shrouded figure could be seen in the entrance. This figure was non other than Lucious-Taicho of squad 3 from Seirretei. He had been brought here to fight an Espada. It surely would be an intresting fight beetween the two.
Hara stepped through the gate out onto the sands of the arena, his feet leaving prints as he walked. In the years past the sands have been relayed and smoothed over. That would not be the case after this fight ended. blood would surely be splattered everywhere, it would be as if the ancient romans where still fighting to the death on these sands as they did thousands of years ago. Hara flicked the veil from his face with both of his hands as it fell to the ground, his face was serious and stern as he stood there with his Zanpakutou swinging at his side the chain attached to it already resting in his hands. it was long enough to be held in both hands like a pair of Numchuck, the only difference being his sword is attached to the end instead of two pairs of wooden sticks tradionally used.
He gave a great yank on the chain as his sword pulled from the seath with aloud scratching noise of metal on metal contact. sparks flew from the sword as it flew up into the air from the contact with the metal, Flying high in the air Hara quickly yanked it down. the sword coming down and landing sharp end down in the sand. Surely his prowess seemed different than in previous years. He has went through many changes and now feels confident in his abilitys and with his Zanpakutou. He feels he has confidently learned what his Spirit wanted him to learn, and can now wield the Swords powers completely but not masterfully yet. He stood there with his sword in the ground waiting for his opponent to arrive.

Ah, this was gonna be GREAT! Rio was finally getting a chance to vent off some of his grudge against the shinigami. And ohhh, what a grudge it was. He'd only been holding it for some three millenia afterall. And this was a captain. Oh, this battle would truly be amazing. Rio intended to beat this captain's head to the ground. To crush his skull under his foot, and tear out his heart! Basically, to brutally eviscerate the unfortunate guy. Captain or not, Rio Demoniogalgo was not planning to leave this arena the loser.
Rio stepped through the gate as it opened and saw his opponent standing on the other side of the arena. He began to approach him, slowly at first, sizing up his opponent. Rio himself looked the complete opposite of how he fought. He had a small slender build-- almost feminine in fact. One would think he was a speed oriented fighter, darting in with quick sharp blows. Such assumptions based on physical appearance couldn't be more wrong. Rio was ferociously powerful, focusing on ending the battle in a single strike. And with his tremendous physical strength such a thing would not be very hard for him to accomplish.
With every step he took towards his foe, Rio's excitement and bloodlust grew. He was only about halfway across the arena when it reached a fever pitch. He couldn't hold it in anymore. The Espada suddenly planted his feet and released a savage battle cry, that shook the arena to its core. Simultaneously, he made a vicious swipe at the air, as though possessed with demons that simply had to be released! But the swipe at the air wasn't for show. Rio had released a powerful focused shockwave from his hands, that even now was hurtling towards Hara at the speed of a balla, but striking nearly as hard as one of Rio's normal punches! The advantage this held over the balla, of course... was that to Hara's eyes, it was invisible. Only those with the keenest of senses could detect the shockwaves when they weren't knocking debris out of their way, and unfortunately for Hara, there was no debris yet hanging in the air to read the shockwave's path.
The first blow had been struck.... but would Hara realize it until before it was too late?

Hara watched as his opponent slowly took steps towards him, He was obviously angered for some reason. Perhaps it was because he was a Shinigami, after all that seemed the natural reason for the angered look on his face. Hara watched as he got closer and closer suddenly swiping at the air like a mad man Hara watched in shock as the man seemed to go crazy. In case the man was about to attack Hara yanked on his sword as it flew from the sand leaving a trail of debri behind it as it flew up high in the air, Hara was planning on attacking with a massive attack from above with his sword should the man come charging at him. But something was off. The man was not moving yet.
Thats when Hara realized something pass through the debri, was this possible. An invisible attack, Shockwave like in form? Hara quickly jumped up in the air as the shockwave hit him int he legs sending him top'ling forward, Landing on his back as he used the momentum to carry him back up to his feet. His sword still being in the air, his momentum of coming back up in almost a roll being used to his advantage. He brought the chain forward in a quick motion as the blade would come fast from the air in a downward arch towards the left arm of the man. The sword would either dig into the mans arm or hit the sand and kick up more debri. the man would have to decide if he wanted to take the hit or make it easy on Hara to see his attacks.
OOC: Some BI for you about my sword, as i know you already know my ability but the chain i do not think is mentioned i aqquired that a while ago from the store when i was going to a thread that took me to hell. the chain it self is extendable, its been made an extension of the sword basicly.

Rio grinned, despite the apparent failure of his shockwave. The man had detected it, and it had struck his legs. No doubt, he'd be feeling a little shaky about that, right? Huh. Guess not. As a captain, Rio supposed, he wasn't allowed to show it, even if his legs did feel like hell. But he didn't have time to think about what was going through his opponent's mind. He was counterattacking. Tch. But at such a range... Rio had been hoping that the captain would have taken the battle into close range, where Rio's Sai would have dominated the battle. Apparently not.
As Hara's blade arced through the air, Rio had already planned out his defense against them. He was controlled now. Controlled.... yes. The thrill of battle was calming him down, counteracting the rage he was feeling at his foe. That was a long chain though! Was it an extendable chain? How odd.... Rio had not heard anything about this in a shinigami's repertoire. Perhaps it was his shikai? How unusual...
But what the hell, Rio would deal with it anyways. The Espada leaned his body away from the blade and unleashed a gentle shockwave from his torso. Because he hadn't physically launched it, it had a far lesser range than a focused one, and Rio did this to avoid disturbing the sand at his feet, and risk alerting Hara to his shockwave's second form. But what it DID do, was break the line of attack. However, the shockwave had been light for a reason. It was to ensure that to Hara's eyes, his sword hadn't travelled far enough to hit Rio.
Suddenly the Tercera's arm snapped forwards grabbing the chain of the stopped sword. Even if Hara had anticipated this ahead of time, and reacted, such a long chain would still take awhile to fully retract, and so Rio intended to take advantage of that, by stopping him from recalling the sword in this manner. His teeth were bared in a snarl, as he gave the chain a powerful tug to drag the captain towards him.

Hara watched as his sword traveled through the air, Sure the man saw it coming and yet he did not move what was going on. Something was off about this the man leaned back away from the sword as if he was going to let it hit him in the chest. Suddenly he grabbed the chain as the sword continued and fell swinging beside him, So the man could do this attack even without his hands, perhaps any part of his body was able to use this. Hara as surprised more so when the man pulled on the chain, hara had an idea though. He let himself get pulled by the man towards him.
Hara now flying through the air was calculating tons of plans all at once, finally picking one out as he neared the man. Hara Shunpoed with his chain to the other side of the man directly behind him, then shunpoed back arouned wrapping the chain around his body. If this worked Hara would now have the man bined by the chain his arms tight to his side, Pulling tight on the chain to restrict him. If this failed Hara would most likely get countered and take a hit from the man once again.

Rio wasn't satisfied when he saw the shinigami coming flying towards him. That had been way, way too easy. Rio knew he was powerful, but it shouldn't have been that easy to do. Ah well. Even if he was planning something it wouldn't matter, right!? As Hara hurtled towards him, Rio lifted his arm into half of his Muay Boran fighting stance. Coincidentally this would also be a great boon to the Espada due to Hara's sudden Sonido! Rio saw him seemingly teleport behind him. An attack from behind? No! He was gone again, back in front of him, and Rio felt the chain constrict around his body. Fortunately, he'd lifted his right arm, and so it had managed to avoid being caught by the chain-- keeping Rio from being left open.
But the Espada was annoyed. And so he spoke the first words of their battle. "What? Is this the best you've got shinigami?" He asked irritably. Planting his legs, Rio grabbed hold of the chain with his free hand, and combined an explosive outwards movement designed to free himself from the chains, with a powerful, full body shockwave. The shockwave was dual purpose. It wasn't just to free Rio. He was using the full extention of the shockwave, blasting towards Hara, even faster than his focused one. It was effectively like trying to dodge a balla at point blank range-- a trying feat for even the fastest of warriors. Fortunately, it was considerably weaker than before, though an impact would still be hard, and likely knock the average person well off their feet.
But that wasn't all Rio planned to do. As soon as he felt the chains loosen around him, he lifted the chains above his head and lunged forwards at Hara, intending the captain to have been knocked off balance by his sudden shockwave. It was time Rio showed the captain his full strength! Using his Muay Boran, Rio suddenly sent two powerful and swift blows at the captain-- a Thai leg kick followed by a right straight to the solarplexus. If Hara had been offbalanced or even knocked off his feet by the prior shockwave, dodging them would be incredibly difficult.
And not being able to dodge these was not a good thing. While even a normal person of moderate strength could easily knock someone down or wind them with these techniques, with Rio Demoniogalgo's strength, both strikes were easily capable of shattering an opponents bones! The shockwaves weren't what made Rio a deadly foe, oh no, those were simply to open people up to his real strength. What made Rio a terrifying foe to fight was that every blow he threw would be a game changing blow if it hit.
OOC: Can't believe I missed this for so many extra days. I'm tired of prematurely ending stuff, but Rio, if you want, you can take the win right here for Hara's lack of posting. Just give me a yes or no for it.
