Clad in Divine Steel : Soldats
Soldats are beings that have been created by the Yumiya Group Corporation - namely its chemical division, YUMI-ALCH - as part of the program of the same name. Originally plain Humans of the Living World who possessed no discernible qualities of note, the majority of them were eventually led towards the laboratories of the corporation in order to participate in an experiment, during which they were injected with a substance known as Argent Serum. While many of these Humans perished during this horrific procedure, or worse, became almighty bio-weapons known as O.N.I., there was a select few whose odds were more favorable. Those part of this few found themselves capable of transforming into higher beings of flesh and metal that can interact with a world previously completely unknown to Humans. The majority of the people who have become aware of their existence in one way or another have described them as mechanical demi-gods tasked to protect Humanity against new threats beyond the limits of comprehension. Meanwhile, the scientists of Yumiya are in agreement that the Soldats will soon either represent the next step in Human evolution... or the last.
Unlike most of the other races who have come to occupy the many realms, a Soldat cannot be entirely described as a spiritual being. Although a spiritual compound does flow through their veins, which allows them to properly interact with the dead, their Spiritual Pressure cannot be raised above 0. Because of this, they are initially unable to use reiatsu in any capacity or use any spiritual movement ability, such as Air Walk. Additionally, in spite of their abilities, they nevertheless are Human in nature, and so they are all fundamentally weaker than any other being, even the weakest of Shinigami and Hollows. Their stats cannot normally go above 100 before Type, unlike most other spiritual beings whose stats cannot go above 400, and as such, they are not as long-lasting or as sturdy as a spiritual being. With all of that being said, however, they are capable of using an ability that allows them to do battle with spiritual beings at their level, and perhaps even beyond. That ability is the Réveil.
The Réveil is a form that every Soldat can access upon reaching Class 6. It is a power that is brought about through communion with the spirit of the Zanpakuto within them, a singular modified Fullbring bestowed by a spiritual entity to ensure the survival of its living partner. Acting similarly to a "second skin", it modifies the Soldat's body, transforming it into an assortment of metal grafted onto flesh and bone. This process tends to be achieved in such a way that it makes the Soldat appear as a being that is similar to androids or cyborgs, especially to Humans, as unlike other supernatural beings, they can be seen by those who have no affinity for the spiritual. More importantly, this form also allows them to access components of otherworldly metal commonly referred by Yumiya's mechanical community as Units. Below can be found a brief explanation of Units, the fuel which they use in order to function, as well as a particular effect all Soldats are afflicted by at Class 4.

Units constitute a Soldat's main assortment of abilities. They are, in essence, what allows the Soldat to operate as a more powerful entity in comparison to normal Humans during various activities that are not easily achieved without the use of complex military or scientific hardware, such as analysis exercises, combat operations, reconnaissance procedures, or even software evaluations. In most circumstances, they take the appearance of mechanical parts connected to the Soldat's body, whether these parts be internal components designed to be hidden from view or external attachments that are much less subtle in comparison. They also often are inter-connected with one another by a particular concept or theme.
A Soldat will typically begin with only one of these Units once they have unlocked their Réveil form, after which they will proceed to unlock other Units at a pace of one per Class. Each of these Units are separated between the Head, the Upper Body, and the Lower Body, and they immediately become usable whenever the Soldat enters their Réveil form. Typically, a Unit will only possess a single ability whose power is intrinsically dependent of the Class at which they have been unlocked. For instance, it is impossible for a Soldat to be able to use a Class 6 launcher which shoots miniature thermonuclear bombs. The Unit's function is also dependent of its positioning onto the Soldat's body, and a few Units may even be detached from the body if their form permits such a process to occur. The following represent a few examples of Units in accordance to the section of the body they are associated to:

Instead, they use a different energy system referred to as Nectar. By itself, Nectar is the liquid that a Zanpakuto has turned into upon its successful injection into a Soldat's body. It is a silvery fluid that is as hot and as viscous as blood upon physical contact, and in essence, it acts as the Units' main fueling system. When a Unit becomes accessible, it will be immediately supplied with a certain amount of Nectar charges that is dependent of the Class at which the Unit has been unlocked. These charges can either be used to execute a technique exclusive to Soldats or, more commonly, to use the Unit they have been associated to. For example, if a Class 6 Unit's purpose is to shoot a projectile towards an enemy, a single charge of Nectar is used per projectile shot. The amount of Nectar tied to a Unit is dependent of the Class at which the Unit has been unlocked. Below can be found each of these particular amounts:

Once completely unexplained, this effect was eventually concluded to being caused by the sheer amount of Nectar contained within a Soldat's body after their Réveil form is capable of containing three or more Units at once. At that point, the Nectar within the Units begins to pulse with power, affecting any flesh that remains within the Réveil form in order to completely transform it into enhanced metal. This effectively allows the Soldat to benefit from an extension of +100 of the initial cap of 100 per Unit - both inside and outside of the Réveil form - according to the section of the body within which the Unit has appeared. Below can be found each stat affected by this effect in accordance to their associated section:

Note: Each Unit within the Upper Body also grants a bonus of 25% to the total amount of every Unit's Nectar charges.
- Head: Instinct, Senses, Energy Sensory
- Upper Body: Strength, Reiatsu Strength, Healing Expertise
- Lower Body: Speed
Upon reaching Class 3, the Soldat begins to have a greater understanding of the metal that forms their Réveil. They are aware of the intricacies of their Units, as well as the strength which emanates from the Nectar that fuels them. They also have a better grasp as to what Nectar is supposed to be, as well as the paranormal force which drives it, mainly thanks to pieces of information gained from the conversations between themselves and the spirit of the liquefied Zanpakuto coursing through their veins. Because of this, they become capable of converting Nectar charges stored within their Units into reiatsu, which can then be used to cast general techniques usually employed by traditional supernatural beings. A single Nectar charge is roughly equal to 10 reiatsu.
Class 2 marks the start of an imminence of growth constantly felt by the Soldat. This effect is still scientifically unexplained as of today, but the spirit of the liquefied Zanpakuto will be able to notify the Soldat of this development, as well as inform them of what is going to happen next if they are capable of continuing to march down their path to Human ascendancy. Once they reach Class 1, this imminence of growth will be realized in the form of the Renaissance form, a second transformation that is typically activated by summoning some kind of head accessory while the Réveil form is active. An evolution of the Réveil, this form causes the Soldat to appear less as a cyborg, and more so a mechanized being akin to a robot, as the flesh is completely removed in favor of spiritual steel which brims with the power of Nectar. For as long as the Soldat remains in this form, they are capable of using every one of their Units alongside an Omega Unit of mystical origin which can be installed anywhere on the body. Unlike normal Units, however, the Omega Unit uses reiatsu in order to function, and thus, its presence does not cause the Soldat to be further affected by the KDE.
Once they become capable of accessing the Réveil form at Class 6, the Soldat immediately and instinctively learns a Step technique referred to as Propulsion at the Proficient stage. Mastery of this technique is to be gained through training, but the obtention of its base form is free of charge to all Soldats. Another technique, Provision, is also gained by Soldats in a similar fashion at Class 4.

Note: Soldats gain no SP from reaching higher Classes. Instead, they can only attain greater strength through training.
- Class 8 (0 CTP, 280 total SP) : The lowest Soldat imaginable. At this stage, the Soldat can barely be referred as such, as although they have been successfully registered into the Soldat program, they have not undergone any form of procedure that would allow them to truly become what they are meant to be. In other words, they are nothing more than normal Humans. They do not possess any special abilities of note, and cannot see ghosts without external aid.
- Class 7 (250 CTP) : The Soldat has survived their associated procedure, and now has successfully become an augmented being that is separate from the likes of standard Humans. They are now capable of seeing ghosts due to the spiritual substance that is coursing through their veins, and can begin to use their heightened body for proper supernatural combat.
- Class 6 (500 CTP) : The beginning of a Soldat's true ascent as an ascended being. The Soldat can now communicate with the spirit of the melted Zanpakuto that is coursing through their veins, and in so doing, they can achieve communion in order to unlock the cybernetic Réveil form alongside its initial Unit. The Propulsion technique also becomes accessible at this stage.
- Class 5 (750 CTP) : The Soldat gains access to their second Unit. Although they have access to a new Unit, most Soldats at this stage are not entirely different in comparison to those who occupy their previous position.
- Class 4 (1500 CTP) : The moment where the Soldat begins to tap into their true potential as an augmented being. The Soldat gains access to their third Unit as well as the Provision technique. It is also at this stage that the Soldat begins to experience the KDE.
- Class 3 (3000 CTP) : The Soldat gains access to their fourth Unit. By this stage, the Soldat naturally begins to get a good grasp over the machine their body has become as well as the spiritual compounds which allow it to function. They can also begin to convert Nectar charges into reiatsu at a ratio of 1:10.
- Class 2 (6000 CTP) : The Soldat gains access to their fifth Unit. Once again, aside from the additional Unit, there are no great differences between this stage and the one that preceded it. However, most Soldats who have come this far will be able to feel as though they are at the cusp of achieving a new stage of their evolution.
- Class 1 (16,000 CTP) : What is considered to be the final stage that most Soldats will be able to reach. With their connection with the spirit of the Zanpakuto within them now close to its apex, the Soldat is now capable of achieving a greater communion with them so as to access the mechanized Renaissance form, as well as their very last Unit. Unlike Réveil, which possesses no activation costs nor a duration limit, activating Renaissance costs 25% of every Unit's Nectar supply and lasts for ten posts.
- Class 0 (45,000 CTP) : The greatest Soldat one could ever envision. Upon reaching this ultimate stage, the Soldat has become so tuned to their enhanced body that their soul has been strengthened as a result, causing it to become as powerful and as long-lasting as some of the spiritual metals built by the Yumiya corporation. Activating the Renaissance form now costs half of its original cost, and lasts for twelfth posts instead of ten. In addition to this, the Soldat's heightened nature allows them to benefit from the KDE's effects of two extra Units onto their body, alongside 300 extra SP.
