Chapter 3: With No Choice

The sun was out and it was a beautiful day in his small home town.
But there was no time to enjoy such a day. Today he was going to go out and hunt down some more Hollow. Ghost wanted to get stronger no he needed to get stronger. If he ever was to turn down the rouge Hollow wielding powers that Soul Reaper had.

He took his sister and beloved away from him and Ghost was powerless to do anything about it. But that day something big happened and that was he unlocked his powers for the better. Sure he may not be all mighty but he was in fact a decent fighter. Now all he had to do was to get better. So what better way to do that then to go out and take down his minions.

Too be honest he had no idea what Hollow was or even a Quincy. He did not know what being a Quincy even meant in the end. All he know is he is a chosen one and he was going to live with it. He was offered a power a take revenge on those no good beast and was going to take it. All Yara I'd love and Uta his sister had to do.

They had to just wait a little longer. That was what was going on in his head. Ghost would be thinking that very thought as he pulled out an arrow. Looking on at the unpleasant looking Hollow beast. Pointing right at his head. He would take aim and fired it at full speed and power. This would quickly go right through the Hollow head.

Within mere moments of this happening. The hollow would let out a loud scream. Just then it would start to fade away. Where did it go after it died a second time? Did it not exist anymore? Well the world may never know. But what is known is there is one less Hollow worry about.

As Eshin prowled the endless, bleak expanse of Hueco Mundo's White Desert, his insatiable hunger for power remained a constant torment. His existence was a ceaseless, nightmarish hunt for strength, an unrelenting drive to consume all that lay in his path.

Amidst the barren wasteland, he came upon a sight both intriguing and unsettling. In the distance, a solitary Gillian loomed like a grotesque monolith against the ashen horizon. This gargantuan hollow, draped in black, stood as a stark anomaly in Hueco Mundo's desolation. However, what struck Eshin as even more peculiar was the conspicuous absence of the usual swarm of lesser hollows that typically surrounded Gillian of such immense spiritual power.

Drawing nearer, Eshin's keen senses detected something unusual about this particular Gillian. It radiated a palpable aura of weakness, its spiritual energy lacking the intensity usually associated with such monstrous beings. Was this a newly born Gillian, struggling to find its place in the harsh hierarchy of Hueco Mundo?

Eshin's predatory instincts flared to life, his emaciated form trembling with anticipation as hunger gnawed at his insides. He recognized the unparalleled opportunity that lay before him. He had grown immensely in power, strong enough to challenge even a Gillian. The prospect of devouring such a creature stirred a primal hunger deep within him.

The wraith moved with eerie silence, stalking the vulnerable Gillian for several minutes as it mindlessly opened a gate to the World of the Living. Eshin watched with cold, calculating eyes as the portal shimmered before him. He did not venture forth to collect souls from the world of the living; that was not his purpose here. Instead, he slipped through the gate alongside the unsuspecting Gillian, his intent unequivocal—he was here to seize the Gillian's power for himself.

Hunger, desperation, and a ravenous fury fueled his relentless pursuit. This would be another gruesome chapter in his relentless quest for dominance, a nightmarish battle in the heart of the World of the Living that would decide the fate of both predator and prey.

This sense this power this feeling it was all coming back.
The Hollow was returning and it was going to happen soon. All though he can not feel the spirit pleasure all that well. He was still able to tell the slight difference of something that was not Quincy Hollow or even human.

As he held on to his toast he would eat the rest. As he whipped off his mouth. He would ready himself to defend the area. It was a pain in the rear but someone had to do it. He would soon be ready within the moment. Grabbing his trusty bow he would say a quick prayer. As he headed out he would be all set to take down the Hollow.

But something was off this one felt a little be different then the last ones.
It was as if this one was as strong as the other one but even more so. Ghost would be a bit nervous but it was what it was. Slowly but surely Ghost would make his way towards the Hollows.

True he did not know exactly where they where at. But he did in fact know the main location the Hollow come to the world of the living by. As he made it to the zone and boy did he make it. He would be right as a very large Hollow was making it's way out the portal. As he ready his Bow it would be a now or never fight for him. As his heart started to beat fast.
This was a clear sign he was in fear.

[Eshin Sōtō]

The portal to the World of the Living yawned wide, like a hungry maw beckoning the unsuspecting. Through its dark, swirling vortex emerged the monstrous form of the Gillian, a hulking behemoth draped in nightmarish black flesh. Its roars echoed in the void, shaking the very fabric of Hueco Mundo. There were no other stragglers in the vicinity, and the desolation suited Eshin's sinister intentions perfectly. This Gillian, newly formed and much smaller than the Gillian that Eshin had fought before, would suit his needs nicely.

Eshin, the predator of the abyss, stalked the Gillian from the shadows, his hollow eyes locked onto his prey. This was a rare opportunity, one he couldn't afford to squander. The scent of the Gillian's spiritual energy filled his senses, a tantalizing promise of power. Yet, as he moved closer, the unsettling sight of a human boy wielding a bow made of spiritual energy froze his malevolent heart. It was a weapon he had encountered before, wielded by a fierce adversary. Memories of agony, the searing pain of an arrow tearing through his shoulder, flooded his thoughts. This was not a foe to be underestimated.

Danger surrounded Eshin like a shroud, and he realized that caution was paramount. His initial plan to let the Gillian rampage until it was weakened had to be revised. This human warrior complicated matters greatly. He knew he had to bide his time and wait for the opportune moment to strike. Eshin, master of the shadows, melded seamlessly into the darkness, becoming one with the abyss itself. He concealed his presence, a sinister specter lurking in the obscurity, free from the immediate dangers of the battle that unfolded before him.

The Gillian's thunderous roars filled the air in this rather desolate section of Karakura's streets. Barely a soul was in sight and there was no sign of any strong spiritual pressure, but the power the Gillian held was more than enough to act as a magnet. Soon enough, more foes would appear, more of the human warriors or even the dreaded and loathsome Shinigamis. He only hoped he had enough time to swoop in and devour the victims of this conflict before more would realize where he was. Then, he could slip away unscathed.

So it was that time again. Ghost would look on as he saw the side of the hollow. His eyes would grow bigger and bigger as he finally saw the full size of it. By looking at the side it wasn't so big but bulky. But now that he got a better view.
It was the mother of hollows.

He was along in this thing called war. But he had to do what he had to do. As he had to impress the higher ups. A group of elites he never ever met before.
Ghost would pull out his bow and take a deep breath. As he was not in hiding so he was in the clear. As if the hollow look no when it look.

Ghost would have no choice but to fire. However he was still in the beginning stages of this thing called war between the two groups. He have no idea what are power levels or nothing. That is how new he is. But what he did know was he had a job to do. He had to do that job even if it meant he would die.

As he looked on he would take a deep breathe.
It was now or never and he had to get the first hit if anything. Taking out his bow Ghost was focus heavily on the hollow right in front of him. Not even paying attention to the one hollow that was hunting it down. As he looked on it was be a clean shot.

Ghost would now gather the Reishi as he looked on.
His arrow was now fully charged and he was still undeteched as he looked on. He would fire the arrow. Sadly it was not a face shot but it reached the side of the head. Striking it with a clean hit. The battle has truly started as the large hollow screamed in pain it clearly was angry at this point.

In the velvety shroud of shadows, Eshin lay in wait, an unseen spectator to the unfolding spectacle before him. It roamed erratically, its movements erratic and foolish. Eshin couldn't help but sneer at the creature's lack of finesse.

As he observed, the grotesque reality of the Gillian's predicament came into focus. It seemed utterly incapable of sensing spiritual energy, a damning disability for a creature dependent on such sustenance. The Gillian's aimless meandering painted it as a pitiable, mindless beast, unwittingly marching toward its demise. For Eshin, this presented an opportunity, a chance to indulge his predatory instincts.

However, another factor lurked in the shadows of his thoughts—the archer. The figure stood brazenly in the open, the bow a weapon of potential destruction. Eshin's hollowed gaze bore into the archer, assessing the potency of the power held within. Was this warrior a formidable adversary, a delectable meal, or a mere afterthought in the grand tapestry of the hunt?

Then, like a streak of azure lightning, an arrow was loosed with astonishing speed, a deadly trajectory aimed directly at the Gillian's head. Eshin's mind raced, recalling the agony of a similar arrow, its piercing impact etched in his memory. Yet, this archer was no equal to the previous, his arrow leaving a meager dent on the monstrous visage of the Gillian.

The Gillian's retaliation was swift and brutal. Its mask yawned open, revealing a swirling abyss of malevolence within. From this abyss emerged a pulsating orb of crimson spiritual energy, the harbinger of destruction—a Cero. The deadly projectile took shape, aimed with chilling precision at the archer, an imminent threat to his existence. Eshin knew that this Cero was quite weak for a Gillian, but it was likely a match for the strength of this archer. How would this audacious boy confront imminent death?

What in the world just happened. Did a Hollow just survived his kill shot?
That was something in itself. This hollow was a lot stronger then the ones before it. Ghost truly had to think about it for a moment. Although he was caught unaware. He still had a job to do. He could not lose here. How could he look her in the eyes if he did.

Something was off though as he looked on. The hollow would be doing something else entirely. First it did not go down in one hit. Now it was powering up some sort of attack. As if life was not crazy enough already. Ghost would look on to see what was going to happen next and that's when he realized. It was a kill or be killed moment.

Quickly he would gather more and more Reishi. Just as he saw what the hollow was up to he would fire off yet another arrow. But this was going to be different. As he took a closer look. He could see even though he did not kill it. It still was hurt. As part of his hollow mask was no longer there.

Just then Ghost would fire off the arrow. He knew it was not going to kill the hollow. But he also knew it will hit it. Before it lets off it's attack. Thus it would send it else where. He was fast too do it and it needed to be done. Ghost would start to flip backwards.
Trying to gain a second wind as he knew this battle was going to take up some time.

He was fast to run back as he needed to get away.
Ghost had no choice after all. As he was feeling a little fear. If this thing was to get him. It would be all over. However if he was to get it first. Then he could live to tell the tale. But as he ran over to hide behind the nearest tree. He thought he saw the other hollow. But why did it not make a move. Why was it just sitting there? We sit waiting for the right moment to strike of what. Ghost had to think and think fast. As he could be in very big trouble.
