The Fragrance of Calm

Moving through the streets that had once been his home was eerie to the man known as Asmoskon. What had once been simply streets in the town that he lived in. The area he had finished growing up in. The small spiritual town where he went to school, he’d met his best friend, met his love. This damn place held many memories. The very place where a majority of events had taken place that led to him going down the path which only led him back here. Stepping foot back here wasn’t something that he wanted, something that he had avoided doing over the last few years. He’d made his decision though and with that choice he had to come back here if for nothing else than to see his friend. Checking in on Kazura was something that was necessary, the only thing he believed that would be a positive experience while he remained in Karakura.

Seeing his friend though wasn’t going to be until later as he remained a busy man leading a company that wasn’t just a major player in the spiritual environment, but the public eye of the human world. For this reason Asmoskon had been walking around seeing the very environment that haunted so many of his dreams. The high school that had once claimed his name. Streets, buildings, the park all places where his life had been put on the line facing off against others in the heat of combat. Despite seeing all of these things once again Quincy felt nothing, it was almost like his connection with the young man who had shared his name was gone. Had he become something different?

Time continued to stretch as the day reached the midpoint while Asmoskon continued to stay in motion eventually coming upon a tea shop which gave off a pleasant scent. One that normal humans wouldn’t be able to pick up on yet his nose had been developed to the point that even most wild animals would fall short in comparison. Choosing to enter into the shop and have a cup Asmoskon sits by the window. His physical appearance wasn’t super striking with the only exception being the black eye patch on his right side where his eye had been destroyed. The rest of his clothing was simply a pair of black jeans, dark sleeveless shirt with a black leather coat. While he’d wait to make his order he began to go over all the identities in his head remembering faces, names, addresses, powers of all the Quincy.

It had been a slow day. Slow days were mixed blessings, primarily of the ill-fortune variety for a shop owner. What you wanted was a busy day, all day long. That meant business was good and the day went by quickly. Today, that wasn't happening. It wouldn't be a full register kind of day. For Nuala, busy days were few and far between. Something about her shop, or maybe her own appearance, was driving people away. Sure, she had slowly been collecting a clientele, but it would be nice to not know the names of all but a few customers. On the other hand, that may have been her own fault. On slow days, she made an effort to collect a different kind of coin than yen or ryo. It didn't have a name, but everyone knew what it was. Favor, attention, popularity... a kind of social grace that one accumulates by being good to the clientele one was fortunate enough to have in the first place and treating them with the attention they deserved. Today was a day that she would best be served by promoting a strong connection with her guests.

That was the pitch, anyway. It was already noon, and she'd only had three guests in. Many more days like this, and she'd have to restrict her hours to the weekends. A disappointing prospect that she was pondering when someone new entered the establishment. He was dressed darkly and simply, but even without that, he did very little to mask his "special" nature. He stood out like a sore thumb in the region. Tan skin, spiked hair, very muscular, and sporting a three-strapped eye patch... if it weren't for all that, there was still the matter of his screaming spiritual presence. Nuala had noticed him coming down the street, long before he stepped foot in her Nonessentia. Looking at him in person, she let her feelers out a bit more, just enough to prod around the edges of his aura and get a better feeling of what she was in for. He might have just been looking for a drink. That would be nice.

Being in her own shop, she was naturally dressed in her casual ensemble: a thigh-length fleece hoodie dress with a light grey skull and crossbones on the chest, a pair of faded black jeans, and a green cotton infinity scarf. Around her left upper arm was the Catherine wheel of her Quincy bangle, and around her right wrist was the necklace of prayer beads, worn today in the form of a bracelet. In her hair, she wore a mask fragment that called to mind the image of a bee and a fragment of honeycomb. Her bag, the device that was halfway between tactical backpack and messenger bag, stitched together from the uniforms of four Quincy, rested on a hook on an inside wall of the tea shop.

She flashed a winning smile to the customer as he entered. He found himself a place to sit, and she gave him a few moments to sort himself out before she approached. She brought him the shop's small menu, tendering it over to him as she bowed in greeting. "Welcome to Nonessentia," she said. The Quincy bangle on her arm glinted in the light as it shifted forward with her bow. "Do you know what you would like, or would you like a little time to decide?"

Asmoskon had wandered into the little tea shop with nothing really on his mind that gave him any reason to look around or survey the area. He was lost in his own emotions and memories at the moment and had decided that sitting down may perhaps help him more than just randomly walking. A cup of tea might aid him in maneuvering throughout what was afflicting his thoughts. He’d almost seem like someone lost in the world before the owner came over and offered him the menu. His eye igniting with the attention of life once more he’d give a small smile as he met her gaze.

“I’ll have whichever blend you recommend.”

He wasn’t above paying for the nicest of things when it came to small business as he had the funds to get by even after disappearing for a couple years. Preparing to get lost in his thoughts once again Asmoskon would notice the bangle on the arm of the waitress. A symbol he knew all too well and one that told him he’d made a rookie mistake. Chances were he’d already walked into a trap, surrounding him was a possibility although there was also a chance this woman was someone specific. Surveying the interior he’d notice the different pieces of Quincy specific items and know that he was at the very least inside someone spirituals business. He wouldn’t attack, but he was more than ready to already end yet another pretty face.

Her customer's mind was abubble with emotions and memories. He was looking for a place to sort them out, and he had requested a blend of her recommendation. Nuala had just the thing for that. Things, rather. She would need to blend the tea herself, as not all of the ingredients extracted at the same rate as one another. Peppermint, kava, Gotu kola, tulsi, and licorice. She brewed the ingredients individually, side-by-side at her little laboratory behind the front counter, and then combined them into a warm ceramic cup. Her hands moving with the swiftness of an experienced server, often performing two entirely different tasks at the same time-- one with each hand-- the tisane took all of six minutes to assemble. She brought it out to him, as well as the carafe in which she put the rest of the blend.

As she came back to him, she noted a change in his aura. A little touch of the paranoid. That was a feeling she knew well, as she'd experienced it many times, herself. "Here you are, sir," she said as she set the cup and carafe down on the table in front of him. "One functional blend for sorting out your thoughts. The taste may be a bit aggressive, but I'll stand by the results." She stood nearby and lingered for a moment, leaning toward her customer with concern on her face.

She took a seat across from him. "If you don't like it, it's on the house," she told him. "Is there something you'd like to talk about? I've got a little while between customers today." She treated him just like an old friend, who saw him for who he was, rather than what he looked like.

Sitting in the seat had gotten progressively more irritating for the Quincy as he sat making sure that at any moment he could fire off an arrow. It had been some time since he’d been trapped or surrounded by Vandenreich. Although if he went based on his entire life then it would need more than both his own hands to count the number of times it's happened. All this really proved to him that he’d allowed himself to fall from his peak. He wasn’t as trusting in his own abilities at the moment, otherwise worrying over something so average for him just wouldn’t make sense.

No, his thoughts and actions still weren’t lined up. He just had to take a deep breath and handle the situation like he would have a couple years ago. Burning down the building though was something he’d rather not do, he could already hear the remarks from Kazura about causing devastation to Karakura after only just getting back. If this woman was a Vandenreich then she wouldn’t have to worry about paying rent. If she was someone Free then he’d lucked out and found someone new, if she were a collector then he’d have to cross that bridge and come to the conclusion whether she should be allowed to stay present.

Being served the tea Asmoskon mods his head downwards recognizing what the woman had said and taking a moderate sized sip from the hot beverage. “It’s potent for certain, but definitely worth the price.” Asmoskon hadn’t been expecting her to sit down across from him yet despite it and the fact he immediately believed this to be similar to a situation he’d experienced while he’s still fresh. Last time an Espada knocked him out of his seat and through the wall of the building. Thankfully he had enough self control not to react instinctively towards this woman.

“Tell me why you’re here in Karakura and why you happen to have so many different pieces of Quincy culture.”

As Nuala served the young man, his tension mounted. He seemed to grow more paranoid by the passing moment, and his surface thoughts betrayed the gravity with which he was struggling. She smiled as gently as she could, giving him space and time to work in. He took a calming breath and tried the tea, then commented on its efficacy. Putting his thoughts together, he recalled something about an Espada and the destruction of a wall. Nuala glanced at the wall beside her customer and thought about all the time she'd have to spend rebuilding that by hand. She glanced more at the wall in its generality, and reflected on replacing the whole thing. Maybe with something whose boards weren't subtly warped. She'd have to close down her business for that, and she certainly didn't have the money for that. Or for that matter, the strength to put a person through a wall, so it was really a moot thought in the first place.

"Tell me why you're here in Karakura and why you happen to have so many different pieces of Quincy culture." It was more of a command than a request, but Nuala didn't really mind.

"Straight to the point?" she posited, not really asking the question. "How refreshing." She laughed a little, eyes crinkling at the corners as she smiled. "I think that depends on which 'pieces of Quincy culture' you're talking about. I have a little bit of everything, in the museum just over there," she nodded toward a section of the shop where she had put out several displays under glass. Everything from an Arrancar's Zanpakuto to a preserved jigokucho to the blue-green Lovecraftian husk that had birthed her friend to a Hell chain wrapped around something's tail. "If you need an answer because you're concerned for your safety, let me put your heart at ease. No Vandenreich boogeymen are going to jump out at you here. Not today anyhow, and I would prefer if my Nonessentia were a neutral, pacifist ground for those kinds of affairs. If you want to fight, I'll ask you to go somewhere my livelihood is not endangered. Either you're strong enough to respect me, or you're weak enough to fear me, so I expect my request to be honored."

She took a moment to look around the room, noting which things her guest was likely talking about. "Since we're in a conversation, please let me introduce myself. My name is Nuala. Nuala Byrne. And if I had to guess, I'd say you were concerned in particular about my bangle and my bag. If you only want the short answers..." she trailed off, looking toward her left arm. "The bangle belonged to my foster sister. It's precious to me." Rather than looking at her bag, she looked directly across to the table toward her guest. "The bag I made while I was living in Hueco Mundo, out of the uniforms of four assassins their Emperor sent after me. They don't mind me using them." There was a certain finality to her last statement that implied absolute confidence in its veracity.

A conversation it seemed was actually going to be possible, this woman was the sort that didn’t jump right into action the moment that Asmoskon began asking questions. It was a nice shift of pace yet it told him that she either didn’t know his identity or she really didn’t have anything to do with the Vandenreich which meant she was likely in danger regardless. While Asmoskon wasn’t super fond of others possessing Quincy culture it didn’t mean anything if they had good reason or if they’d taken it fair and square. If she respected it or found comfort in them then he had no right to enforce his belief on her nor take anything from her. What else he saw though over under the glass told him this woman was a collector simpler to himself and a few others he knew of.

Asmoskon didn’t speak up or interrupt her while she spoke knowing that there wasn’t much else someone could do to send him into a frenzy and thus he always did his best to not provoke others in the same way. “The moment any Vandenreich shows themselves is the moment they die. I’ll refrain from damaging anything in your possession and compensate you should anything be damaged. Allowing any of them to live though is out of the question.” Taking another sip from the tea cup in front of him Asmoskon received the answer to his inquiry.

“My apologies for your loss. May you bring pride to her memory.” Only remarking about the bangle while nodding his head slightly at the notion of killing assassins of the Vandenreich. “Asmoskon Masurao, pleasure to meet you Byrne. What brings you to Karakura?” Asmoskon now really was just going to go about making conversation as he couldn’t sense any sort of ill intent nor lies having been thrown his way by Byrne. From one Vandenreich killer to another he would be pleasant for the time being and do his best to make her feel welcome to the spiritual high point of Japan.

He had asked her what brought her to this little locus of spirits and people. "Oh," Nuala began. "I won't deny there's a certain level of spiritual interest in this town, but I'm really here to push forward my own lofty goals and to make tea. More the latter than the former, these days, but the chartered Nonessentia may take off some day. My assistant, Monroe, assures me that it will, and I am inclined to believe in him."

Her eyes scanned over the herbal options on her back shelf, picking things out for her own blend. She looked back at Asmoskon. It was nice to have a conversation with another spiritually-aware person, and at that, one who seemed to really be a person. It was different from sitting at the mess tables at the Hive, where were it not for the patron's influence, any one of them might just as well have eaten Nuala instead of the food provided. "I only recently returned to the world of the living, and this is close to where the garganta spat us out. I spent a little time trading old artifacts for capital and managed to put together this shop. In the basement, it serves also as my home and base of operations. Every living part of me dwells here when I'm not out hunting Hollows." She paused for a moment, thinking. "They're awfully common in this town, aren't they?"

He was finally starting to calm down a little, but he had quite an edge toward the Vandenreich. She'd ask about that. "Do you have some personal vendetta against the Emperor or his cronies, Mister Masurao? In my case..." she cast her eyes to the side, frowning as she looked for a simple answer. "Priska was the only one in the family who was good to me, and he..." her face screwed up a little. It was clear she was struggling with the words. "Well, he took her away from me. He took every family away from me, really. So, I understand if it's personal."

Nuala looked back at him, trying not to get caught up in the past. Her eyes betrayed her emotions, though, still a little wet at the edges. She was clearly not yet over her feelings about what had happened. It was doubtful she would ever be.

The tea was a good flavor and one that he knew he’d more than welcome again whenever the got the urge to indulge himself in such a beverage, as for the questions that he’d asked of Nuala, well she didn’t really have any issue answering them it seemed. “Nothing wrong with enjoying a hobby or something you happen to be good at. Living a normal life on the side is a good way to keep yourself going, besides it’s quite good. I expect the shop to do well once word starts to spread.”

It seemed the two of them were actually going to keep a good conversation going between them with Asmoskon enjoying his tea while listening to Byrne when she was making her contribution to the conversation. “Seems a shame to lose out on artifacts, but a nice place to hang one’s head is essential. If you truly stay here almost exclusively though be prepared. All it’ll take is one wrong enemy getting away and then you might have a group next time. Karakura is the spiritual high point of Japan. There are several other towns scattered across the human world as well.”

That’s when Asmoskon was asked a question, one that he hadn’t heard in quite awhile, one that he’d heard a few times when he’d really started down the road he was cemented in now once again. The pleasant demeanor that Asmoskon had started to emanate spoiled as his left eye turned into the gaze of a monster. Nuala would more than likely be able to them it wasn’t directed at her yet his aura suddenly became so enraged and dark it’d feel like a different person sitting across from her now. As she spoke though Asmoskon gathered himself knowing he’d probably already given her the wrong signal for a first meeting.

“My apologies, I know the pain in your heart. The Emperor stole my family, my past, my future. I’ve only just come back to Japan. I’ve been away for the last few years so it’s time I start my purpose once again. As far as I’m concerned Byrne, you're an ally. Anyone who kills the Vandenreich I’ll happily stick my neck out for.” That’d be all he’d give Byrne more than likely as he wasn’t one to go into extensive detail with everyone about his past and how the Vandenreich was his entire reason for life.

"Oh, it seems like I touched a nerve," Nuala commented. She laughed a little and shook her head, causing the steel in her hair to click and clack together. "I'm sorry, we've only just met, I shouldn't be asking such personal questions. But, for what it's worth, I feel the same way. I, and Nonessentia, will be happy to help you with your endeavors." She stood up, quietly scooted her chair in, and made her way over to her little tea laboratory, putting together something good for walking and talking.

Using a gentle application of her fullbring, she extracted the flavors and effects of a few tisane ingredients, causing the store to blossom with the scents of fresh citrus, cinnamon, raspberry and toasted whole grains-- a sweet and savory combination. The water came up to a perfect near-boil as she pulled it through the ingredients, infusing it with the nutrients and smell of the herbs and grains. It all went into a lidded ceramic cup. While she worked, she spoke to Asmoskon. "Do you like fish, Mr Masurao? I think we should commemorate our meeting, and I can think of few ways to do that better than a gift. I happen to have several fitting fish in the tanks under the shop. Perhaps you'd like to come downstairs with me, and have a look around at the inhabitants? For some reason, you strike me as a 'piranha' kind of guy. Tenacious and dedicated." She chuckled and smiled wryly, "And perhaps just a little aggressive."

Pushing her hand down and making a swirling motion, she extended her soul to the tisane, asking it to kindly shed its heat, and to which is replied in the same kindness, cooling even more rapidly than if she had stirred it with ice. Piping is not the way to consume most tisanes. You'll want them to be hot, but drinkable.

Nuala walked over toward the velvet-roped staircase, from which hung a sign that barred entry into the dwelling below. She glanced toward her right, eyeing the tiny museum with its strange artifacts. "Or if you prefer," she offered, "you can have a look around at my collection while I retrieve a fish of my own selection. The choice is yours."

A quick bit of back and forth and it was pretty much cemented that the two spiritual entities inside this little tea shop could consider one another as allies. A good bit of luck that Asmoskon hadn’t been expecting to find when he returned to Karakura. All the same though the tea he had been given only a minute or so was already gone. In truth he hadn’t even realized that he’d essentially chugged it down, but thankfully Nuala was already up from the table and fixing up something else.

“Fish? I’m not sure, I’ve always thought more about the creatures of the sky. I’m not really staying somewhere with a tank either, still though I’d be happy to look. Piranha I guess would fit me well enough although I’m more than a little aggressive depending on who I see, if only I could own a shark.” Just going along with the conversation now Asmoskon was relaxed and at least interested enough to see the fish below while being respectful to Byrne’s hobby. Getting up from his seat he’d follow behind her while keeping a respectful few steps back.

“You’ve already got your shop. I doubt you’ll have to pawn off anymore before I get the chance to see them. Besides now you’ve got me curious what else you’ve got down in this tank.” Asmoskon found himself smiling for the first time in a while with a memory jumping to mind. A Quincy that he’d found during his travels, one that loved the water and all its inhabitants. One that didn’t just possess the ability to turn his reiatsu into water, but his arrows into various sorts of water life. One that was a joy to be around and powerful enough that he didn’t have to worry about. Time for a new cup of tea.

Nuala chuckled quietly, smiling. The tank under the shop. Singular, as in one. The truth was, she was a bona fide fish tank fanatic, a trait she had inherited from Erscheinung, to be sure. Strange it was to her, that Monroe had developed none of his predecessor's predilection for the fishy friends, but perhaps that was Nuala assigning human traits to the inhuman Arrancar. Perhaps his aquatic experiments were made out of convenience and not preference. Smiling, Nuala took Asmoskon down to her "abode," handing him a lidded tumbler of the tea to sip on while they walked.

Down the stairs, a right turn at a landing, and down to the next level, there was another stoppage from progress: a real security door, though it was clearly designed only for non-spiritual types; it could easily be bypassed by anyone strong or capable enough. Nuala, of course, had the keys. She turned one in the lock and produced a magnet from her pocket for the other, which slid an internal deadbolt to one side. When the door opened, the smell of well-cared-for watery environs erupted from inside.

There was a front room, where Nuala ostensibly spent her evenings before and after work in a shared space, though the other occupant was yet to be seen. A fish run ran through one wall of the room, its outer wall transparent so as to allow the owner to keep an eye on the health of the fishes inside. She nodded toward it, commenting, "That goes to gen-pop one. It's a high pop pred tank; I introduce it with prey critters for the sharks et cetera on the regular." A school of small, virid sharks was using the run at the very moment, racing with one another from one end of the tank to the other and back again.

"Monroe, my ward and roommate, helps me with the upkeep of the various tanks down here. I didn't ask what the complex was used for before we arrived, but there's quite a bit to see. We installed all the tanks and environments ourselves, with a little hired help here and there," she explained. In fact there was quite a bit to see. On one side of the 'complex,' there was a modest apartment for two, and on the other... tanks, crafting stations and laboratories indicative of a pair of eccentric inventors that by now, Nuala had not even thought twice about. She'd clearly spent quite a bit of time in the extensive underground side of Nonessentia.

The fullbringer lead Asmoskon past four more tanks, which she explained in great detail with equally great enthusiasm, obviously in her element amidst the jellyfishes, ancient sea beasts and piranha environs. But she took a breath before unveiling a second basement, accessible through a ladder at the back half of the extensive rooms. The chambers beneath were spacious and consisted of four rooms: three they did not explore, but a fourth that Nuala lead Asmoskon to with a wry smile.

It was a "shark room." A great and massive tank, filled with water and coral and many lesser fish, but most importantly, a pod of what Nuala claimed was seven whale sharks, though only three of them were visible at the moment. When they arrived, one of the moss-green monsters came up to the pair and lifted itself up out of the water, water pouring off its body as it rose into the air, flying perhaps even more easily than it swam! At the same time, a school of lime green moon jellies joined them, flying circles around Asmoskon and bobbing in the air.

"Now, I do like you, Mr Masurao... but I'm not sure if I could so easily part with my friend, here. Although he does seem to like you, too." Nuala chuckled again, looking to Asmoskon for his thoughts and opinions.

Getting down into what he believed was going to be a basement with a rather large tank of fish, could almost make him laugh now. Getting into the lower area with Nuala guiding him, the left eye of the Quincy gazed around the internal room. One was much larger than he would have expected. That was the first thing yet the most obvious was just how many different tanks and fish Nuala had accumulated. As a merchant of goods himself he knew that if she had this many there was a good chance she could make a living just breeding them, but at the same time these fish felt different almost like he could tell they weren’t normal.

Although it was something only mentioned in passing Nuala brought up that she had a roommate by e name of Monroe. A statement that immediately cemented itself into Asmoskon’s mind as essential, if he was to consider Nuala an ally that meant he had to always be ready for anything. Too many times in his life had he been forced to spend extensive time to find a traitor. The way that Nuala spoke about the seat life was refreshing while being a bit joyful. He didn’t really find them particularly interesting, but he could see the light in her heart. A hobby that meant as much to her as his own.

When they got to the next room Asmoskon continued to follow knowing that he had no right to question and if this had all been a ploy well . . . . It was a good one, but a failed one in the end. Coming down from a ladder into a deep depth was something that one would build to survive a bomb or detection. Whoever owned this prior was likely a soldier or someone that didn’t want to be found. The sharks he could see in the tank were quite large, he knew their strength couldn’t be denied just from a brief gaze.

When they began to levitate out of the water though, to start flying through the air Asmoskon had to take a moment and ponder how such a thing was possible. This was something special and something that could be utilized in certain useful ways. “Have you developed a new Soul Command? Have they been experimented on? What’s the life expectancy?” His mind of war was in full swing now as he ran through the different applications he may be able to implement.

Blushing a bit at Asmoskon's barrage of questions, Nuala first giggled in response. She was plainly enjoying his wonder. "No new Soul Command," she started. As she shook her head, the steel in her braids clicked and clacked. "I used existing but high-precision soul command to develop their spiritual potentials as they're in utero, tugging and coaxing them in the directions I want them to develop."

She reached up to pat the whale shark on the cheek, conveying a level of pride in her development. "Their life expectancy? In the natural world, it's longer than the more normal specimens, I would expect. In most cases, that's been tested, but not in the case of these sharks. Most of my fish I developed over the course of several accelerated generations, but these sharks are a different story. Thanks to their already long life spans, they had to be developed using methods based on my mentor's."

Nuala walked back toward the door, nearly ready to move on in the tour, but lingered here for a few moments. She smiled while she glanced between Asmoskon and the jellyfish. "If you'd like to try those useful ways for yourself, you're welcome to give the jellies a shot. They're a good place to get started. Just reach out with your spiritual aura and attach to them. I can't get people to connect with any more than six of them, but six should be all a smart guy like you will need to see their benefits for yourself. After you connect with the jellies, try connecting to Neo, there."

She gave him some time to figure out how to 'connect' with the fishes, and then gave him some time to play around with the concepts they would present to him. And to get... accustomed to connecting with the telepathic jellyfish. There was something about setting the jellies' Vissudha chakra into overdrive that didn't only make them talkative, but suggestive. And crass. In summary, every jelly she had ever developed? Also developed a mouth that could make sailors blush.

After giving him sufficient time to both connect to the fish and then disconnect from the fish (if he were so inclined), Nuala suggested they move on. "I have some things I'd like to show you, if you're as capable as you seem. Are you comfortable with friendly combat?" she inquired, smiling like a devil.

It was interesting all the same to hear how Nuala had accomplished what he was witnessing at the moment with these animals, but it was at the moment something that couldn’t help him. Based on what she was telling him and how she’d accomplished this it wasn’t an ability that he could replicate. All the same though it was an impressive success that moved his mind down another potential road of weapons. The subject of a mentor was brought up yet despite how aggressive Asmoskon could be such a topic wasn’t one he would press towards. Her mentor was her’s and he doubted very much he had any sort of history with them, despite his travels.

This was a good room filled with animals that he could see as both pets and subjects. A little twisted for those with a child’s heart, but for warriors it was optimal. Moving with Nuala back towards the door Asmoskon was a little surprised when she stopped once again. He’d already scanned through the room with his left eye making sure that he knew the positions of all the tanks and surroundings so what could she have left to show him? It wasn’t really deep, quite the opposite in fact, rather high pitch but almost shouting at him like a scornful rival. The connection felt weird, but not harmful, it was almost like stepping out into the open air after being inside a building for several hours. For the next minute or so Asmoskon stared at the jellyfish while communicating before turning back to Nuala. “Well I think I’ve learned you might have a temper when you’re alone.” Surprisingly joking that the jellyfish picked up its language from her.
