Taking a moment to register what Asmoskon had said, Nuala laughed again. "You think they picked that up from me, huh?" she asked, her tone playful. "I'm sorry to inform you, but I think that's just how jellies are. They're like that all the time." She shook her head, smirking, the tubes and beads in her hair jangling.
As if on cue, one of the jellies asked a rude question about the woman's shapeliness and flexibility into Asmoskon's mind, at the same time suggesting that he also must have noticed. Oblivious to the commentary, Nuala turned toward the door. "I have another room over here," she began. "Monroe put it together for training less experienced Nonessentia members, but I think it would suit our purposes just fine. Would you like a showcasing of the fish you've seen so far? She left the room, leaving Asmoskon to decide whether to follow her or stay in the shark room a little longer, and made no mention of whether he should bring the jellies with him. Just outside the room, she opened the channel of a closed-circuit intercom. "Monroe, we may have a little live combat in the sub training room. Our guest is friendly, so if your reinforcements function, everything should be fine."
A tired, muffled voice echoed back through the intercom, indicating an affirmative. Nuala flipped on a couple of light switches, turned a key in the wall, and crossed the sub-basement to a reinforced vault door. She turned the wheel counterclockwise, and let them into the "training room." The inside was easily the same size as the rest of the sub-basement, with solid metal walls and flooring, and a ceiling of some undeterminable material. Spiritual in nature, it was a good place for someone to really let loose...
