The halls of the Envainar Base were pretty quite this day as most who served under Orobas had been sent out on missions, to corrupt more souls or maybe collect on contracts made in the past. There was one person still dawdling around though, dragging his feet down the enter twining halls hoping to find someone who can help clear up this bored feeling. That's when he spotted him, Carl the Akki, ducking in and out of rooms ensuring everything was as it should be until freezing after laying eye's on the man staring at him with a sinister smile.
"I don't have time to deal with your crap today Jeff, so be off and leave me be, I have work to do." Clearly throwing out words in an attempt to get rid of Jeff, Jeff on the other hands had plans of his own. "Carl, carl, carl, don't worry, I won't cause any trouble for you today, but only if you send me somewhere I can stave off this boredom, and no sending me five hundred meters down in the Antartic ocean, as fun as that was there is only so long one can stay conscious with no oxygen."
Looking the Saika up and down Carl finally gives an answer after thinking it over for a minute, "I don't have time for you so the quicker I can get rid of you the longer I get to work." Walking over to stand in front of Jeff he begins to tell Jeff to get ready, "Put your mask on, I want you to stay away as long as possible." Jeff looks at Carl before opening his mouth, "See, now is this so hard, although I am a little disappointed you didn't let me torture you first, oh well." Reaching into his inner cloak pocket pulling out his tedious Saika mask, something he must wear in order to leave Hell at all, before placing it on his face.
Carl lifts his hand up and begins ripping the fabric of reality creating an opening that leads to some other destination then where they are right now, it could even be in a different world such as the world of the living or even the soul society. Saluting the Akki Jeff begins stepping through the tear in reality before the world around him turns on his side and the sensation smacking his shin against a coffee table comes with it. If only that was the only thing that happened but regrettably it wasn't, after hitting his shin Jeff flips over what actually did turn out to be a coffee table landing on his back almost as if this were a cartoon gag.
Rolling over onto his chest Jeff forces himself off of the ground reaching up to grasp anything in hopes to regain his footing and prevent himself from falling again. Grabbing for something sturdy instead brought with it a book sliding out of it's place due to the grip he had on it before letting it go and falling back onto his stomach with the book smacking into his head from above. While Jeff does enjoy pain he does not enjoy purposefully causing self harm just for the pain, this incident not falling into that category as he begins laughing at what had just happened.
Lying there for a minute trying to regain composure Jeff finally opens his eye's revealing what book had just given him the lovely lump now on the back of his head, Stephen King's The Dark Half. Huh, good book, this time giving himself sufficient time to get up off the ground he begins looking around revealing he now stands in the middle of a room turned into a makeshift library, a big and well kept makeshift library, but still a makeshift library. Walking around running his right hand across the covers of the books as he moved around, reading what the titles were. Spotting a good series he reaches into the shelf and pulls out the first book of the Chronicles of Narnia, The one thing human adults with there masks got right, making decent books with this thought traveling through his mind he plops down onto a comfy looking recliner chair and begins to read.
