Name: A Screamer's A Pleaser
Participants: Vereor Ejj, Wycliff Mason
Location: A maze-like apartment building in one of Karakura Town's poorer districts. Having 8 rooms per floor (four on each side) with a dual-channel elevator at the back, the complex boasts 20 floors to play with. At the very top, a service door leads to the rooftop.
Difficulty Level: Medium
Setting: NDE
Plotline: Inside of the apartment mentioned above, a young lady is shrieking madly. Her screams echo throughout Karakura's slow night, and young men are rushing to her aid. Unfortunately, the young lady is in fact a Hollow, and her screams have enchanted the young men to flock to her (where she may immediately devour them). Once inside of the apartment building, the doors will not open to their adjacent rooms, but are instead manipulated to open into any other door of the Hollow's choosing. Finding her will be difficult, and slaying her will be even more so. Because of this, a member of Xcution and a low-level Shinigami have been dispatched to assess and, if capable, defuse the situation.
Estimated Enemy Strength: 5
Estimated Time Until Completion: 3 Pages
Starts: In the Summer, At Night
Special Conditions: If the participants do not kill the Hollow before the Third Page has ended, the Hollow will consume enough souls to raise it's class to 4.

There were a lot of responsibilities that come with being a member of Xcution. Your actual level within the internal ranking system is irrelevant, even fresh faces have a lot of blood to scrub. Things for Vereor were no different, and tonight, a mission of remarkable description was dispatched to him. On duty around the clock, the sun's position in the sky made no difference to whether or not he could be called upon. The dispatch officer had come to deliver his latest task around midnight, when the young man was ironing his gi. Answering the door in his boxers, he nodded politely and thanked his messenger.
Pulling on his nice, fresh clothing, he reveled in the smell of his flowery detergent before going for his sword. Pulling it from the rack he kept it on near his usual seat, he slit it carefully into his obi. Man. I really need to get a sheath for this thing. He thought, marveling at how careful he had to be in order to keep it from slicing his belt open. Taking one last look at his little apartment, as was a custom of his before he left for battle, he took one deep inhale through his nose and walked out his door. Catching the light behind him as the door slammed, he exhaled outside to symbolize he had cleansed himself of distractions.
Immediately upon stepping outside, Vereor could hear it. It was a deafening shriek that pierced his ears like a powder-glass glaze being ground into his ear drums. No amount of covering his hears could help, the sound simply passed through whatever obstruction he used. Be it his arms, his sleeves, even tufts of cotton pulled from his pants stuffed in his ears didn't help. Determined to just go with it, Vereor pulled himself together and started off for the source of the noise. It wasn't going to be hard to find. As well as the noise drawing him in itself, hordes of young men roughly his age were rushing in the same direction.
It was almost terrifying to see. This was a real, true mob. The flocking was absolutely insane. It didn't take an idiot to see how he was going to find the cause of this problem. Following them with a casual jog, Vereor made sure to avoid getting too close to them in case whatever had trapped them would turn them feral. Coasting beside the crowd, the young man sped his way toward the source of the noise. After several turns, it became obvious what his destination was going to be. At the end of the massive collective of people, an impressive apartment tower stood.
Trying to funnel themselves into the admittedly-impressive double-doors, the young men had become stuck in their efforts. Realizing he would need to get involved in order to solve the issue, Vereor leaped over the mass closest to the door and propelled himself off of their heads and shoulders until he made it to the main entrance. "Well well. While this is quite the predicament, I think I have a solution prepared." Deciding on whether or not to draw his sword or use his Hollow Seed to blast a way into the apartment, Vereor heard another individual approach.
Wycliff was passed out sleeping on the roof of squad four barracks. The night was a time for sleeping and he wasn't going to bother with anything else , not that he did much around the barracks to begin with, most days he just goofed offed and wandered around the barracks aimlessly or heading off to the human world to go surfing. As much as he wants to help, the only reason he ended up in squad four was due to his power. The captain had found out that his power was cocaine creation and her loving drugs forced him to join her squad. He really didn't care as it meant less work for him and more time to just do whatever, but on the flip side anytime there was a mission that involved danger he was sent to do it.
As his snoring started to pick up someone kicked him waking him, in a daze he looked up seeing a higher up in his squad standing over him with a folder. “huh... bro.... it's like night.... time for a nap dog.” The male shingami was about to pass out again before the higher up shinigami yelled “Wycliff get up. I have a mission for you.” The man handed the folder to Wycliff “ Get to it and don't fall asleep.” Wycliff smiled as he hesitantly accepted the folder now sitting up instead of laying down on the roof. With a heavy sigh he read the folder and head out towards the gate to head to the human world. His aim was an apartment complex that was home to a banshee hollow.
Stepping out into the human world he let out a yawn still a bit sleepy from just waking up. Walking on the air he slowly made his way to where the hollow was nesting. It didn't take long to find it though, the constant screaming was easy enough to pin point it out and there was a rather large crowed of people in front one man was rushing in. Wycliff simply dropped down from the air standing above the heads of people. Walking to the front without a care, keeping one hand on the hilt of his blade. though just in case he needs to pull it out to fight, but he hoped that he wouldn't have to fight any hollows right away. As he passed the man who jumped over the heads of the rest of people him he smiled at the man knowing that he couldn't see him and said “hope you live through this bro.”

The night was anything but calm... The whole suburb was in chaos as the screaming continued to tear through the night. Police had been sent, to no avail, other civil service members such as doctors and firefighters had gone to investigate, to no avail, and any member of the male sex needed to have incredible force of Will to not go running headlong towards the site of the damsel in distress. Couples who were already on the rocks in their relationships were finding the "last straw", and the courthouse doors had been broken down so that many women could find the divorce papers that they needed to draw up before the night was over.
And yet, the men didn't care. The scream of the woman was so inviting, so captivating, and so stimulating that they just had to be there for her. Their marriages may be falling apart, but they just had to have that woman that they were craving. When Vereor and Wycliff arrived, there were already forty men or more grasping at the door to the apartment complex. The infernal door would open for a minute and let men pour in, but then shut and be impossible to open. There was something about the lock that kept people from messing with it, even when tenants with keys tried to open it. The best way to get inside would be to either wait for the door to open naturally again, or just break the flimsy thing apart. It was just wood, after all.
Before too much action could take place, though, the night was pierced by another interruption. Though it was Japan, where guns were nearly impossible to get a hold of, still there were shots fired into the night air. Most of the men calmed down slightly and stopped pushing, though the ones who had been stuck there the longest, listening to the screams and being unable to get in, still clambered at the door. "I'm going to tell you all once. Just once. Get out of our way." The speaker still held his gun up in the air, while an intimidating atmosphere settled over the crowd.
The man, no, boy who held the gun couldn't be older than 17, and his thin figure and bony arms weren't too special. But there was something about him that the mindless men just couldn't put their finger on. The giants of men behind him were intimidating for sure, but there was something about this boy that really unnerved them. Most of them got out of the way, and as the boy with a gun set foot on the steps to the apartment, the door flung open to let him and his brutes in. Now would be a perfect chance for Vereor and Wycliff to make a push to get in, especially since the door didn't close immediately after the three males entered. But did they want to follow so closely after the boy who didn't seem normal? Who barely seemed human?

I guess for some people, a warning is sufficient for manners. Irked, Vereor stepped to the side as the trio of brutish-looking men entered the building. At a second glance, the young man realized that the one in charge was no man at all, but just a pup. Spoopy. He thought, marveling at the reason those gorilla men listened to someone such their junior. It was no wonder why he listened, the gun the kid was carrying looked pretty lethal. Still, he wasted no time in stepping in line with their march, slipping through the cleared doorway with no trouble. Behind him, the mass of anxietry-stricken love-slaves rushed to fill the gap, a few making it into the room before it was plugged tight again.
One of the humans who made it through sprinted past both he and the group of men in front of him. Immediately gunning for the elevator, they entered it (the doors sliding open without them pressing a button, the carriage waiting patiently for them to come) and immediately zoomed up. Reading the numbers on the clock-like floor counter above the door, he watched as the LED numbers changed too quickly for a normal elevator to have been installed. This was definitely being played by something, and Vereor knew it wasn't going to end in a pic-nic. Still, he couldn't help but be impressed by the intelligence of the Hollow. Collect all of your prey, then feed on it as comfortable. Speaking of strategy...
"Your tactics are definitely gentler than my own, despite their rougher appearance." Vereor mused, thinking back to how his first instinct was to hack or blast his way through the crowd. It didn't even cross his mind to simply ask (well, threaten, but that's besides the point) the crowd to move. Despite his attempt at conversation, he was almost certain it would fall on deaf ears. Once inside the building, the volume of the screaming had increased to the point of near-deafening. While they were outside, Vereor had the faint memory of another individual entering the scene, but it was hazy due to the appearance of the gunman.
Most likely a shinigami, since it was a floating humanoid that didn't seem too affected by the banshee's screams lust-driving effects, Vereor had no doubt that he would be involved in this mess soon enough as well. Wasting no time in keeping up with the gunman, he wondered why someone else was here. He had been given this as a formal mission by the Xcution dispatch team, and his mission notice gave no indication that they would be sending a second figure. If that was indeed the case, than that only left one logical conclusion: these men were not Xcution. If they were, he would have most likely rolled with them instead of walking on his own.
Leaving a bit of distance between the men and himself, he studied each door as intently as he could, hoping to burn every detail about them into his brain. Hollow were never simple, one-trick ponies. They always had a couple pockets they could pull from, and in this case, he felt it would be better to be prepared. There were eight rooms on this floor, labelled as 101-109 in brass numbers nailed to each door, just under the peep-hole. Reaching out and trying to turn a doorknob, he jiggled it slightly before letting go. It was locked tight. "Would any of you fine gentlemen be interested in working together? I hear it's more productive than pursuing the same goal separately." He shouted over the constant screaming, hoping someone heard it. The last thing he wanted to do was hop into one of those elevators by himself, but he would if he had to.
Wycliff tilted his head and smiled. “Well damn looks like this will be a bit easier.” He was all for the extra guys coming in, it seemed like they had a calm head about things and even opened the door to the apartment complex. Without wasting any time he followed them, wondering who they were, sure they had a gun, but he wasn't too worried about a gun, after all guns couldn't harm spirits unless it was a special kind of gun, but it didn't look like it was one. So he really wasn't worried, besides he wasn't sure if any of these humans could actually see him, sure they were drawn to this place, but that might just be because of the hollow.
Once inside he noticed that it was a bit rundown and there were eight rooms and a hallway leading to an elevator, along with the screaming constantly going on. Really the sounds of the hollow crying out were getting on his nerves. “Damn hollow got lungs huh?” He made the comment out to group of people there not really expecting a response from anyone. Still he was hoping that at least one of them could see spirits because if they couldn't all of them would be useless when it came to fighting the hollow, even though he might not be the best for fighting a hollow in his weakened state.
There were plenty of rooms to look on this floor that the hollow could be hiding in so he was going to get started, but the question was which room to look in? “Ug.... too much work..... guess I'll start in room 109..” Wycliff separated from the group not really caring where they went, at the very least for now given that he didn't know they could see him. Slowly stepping towards the room he took out his zan and sliced down the door and peered into it waiting to see what was in the room.

OOC: It's taken awhile, but I -will- keep this thread going, at least as a DM
After the love stricken individual rushed into the elevator, there were only five people left in the first floor hallway. Vereor, Wycliff, the gun toting teenager, and his two brutish bodyguards. Vereor shouted over the screaming, saying that he'd like to work together with the other people that were in this room. Wycliff ignored him, or just flat out didn't hear him, instead moving to cut down one of the doors with his Zanpakutou and enter into the room.
The other three men turned to look at the shouting Fullbringer. The bodyguards looked down at the teen as if asking a question silently, but he shook his head and stepped forward as they let him pass. The teenager rolled up his right sleeve to reveal a simple tattoo of a drop of blood on his wrist. Krv Zivot does its own work. Alone." The boy had a stench about him, a sickly aura of rot and decay. Even Vereor who had no Energy Sensory would feel it. The feeling that he was standing next to a man doomed to Hell for his actions.
Wycliff, when he entered the apartment, would find a simple one bedroom layout with a small kitchen and an ample sized living area. Very little was out of the ordinary, save for an overturned lamp in the corner, oh, and the woman huddled in the corner covering her ears as tightly as she could. She was shaking uncontrollably, and even with the screaming of the Hollow Wycliff could still hear her screaming right back. "Two Thousand Four Hundred Five... Two Thousand Four Hundred Six... Two Thousand Four Hundred Seven...

The apartment opened up with ease from what he could tell the place looked normal, there wasn't anything strange besides the screams of that hollow, my god it could scream out nonstop. “If this thing keeps screaming I'm going to get a headache.” He took a step into the apartment, then he heard something else, something besides the screams of the hollow. It was counting, soft counting from someone else in the apartment. He stopped for a moment and looked around wondering who was counting. He assumed that this entire place was empty given that no one would dare to stay with that constant noise.
Turning to head towards the living room he saw her, she was there covering her ears and counting in a corner. Her entire body was shaking as she continued to count. He was shocked and didn't know what to do or rather what could he do. He walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder, he knew she couldn't sense that he was here, no normal humans couldn't, but at the very least he felt that he had to do something. With his hand on her shoulder he spoke to her. “It's ok... I'm here ya see. I'll shut that damn thing up quick.” He spoke not for her, but for himself, he couldn't stand seeing someone be like that there and him being helpless to help calm her down.
(OOC: I have no clue if Wycliff can do this by himself but what the hell let's go, either he can and I get some good tp out of it or he can't and I get good CD )

The counting stopped abruptly.
The girl turned around to... no, just the girl's head turned around to face Wycliff. Her eyes were empty bloody sockets and her mouth drooled something green. "Two Thousand Four Hundred Eight! Two Thousand Four Hundred Nine! She went back to screaming louder and louder, but her mouth barely moved. The convulsions escalated until arachnid legs burst from her ears, picking her up off the ground. The legs grew and grew until the girl went through the ceiling...
And then the hallucination ended. There was just a scared shaking girl looking at Wycliff with terror in her eyes and a shaking eerie voice."Are you here to help me?"

Ahhh shit..... Wycliff thought as he saw the head of the girl turn around and stare at him, not her whole body, but just her head. The only thought in his mind is I've seen too many horror flicks and I know where this shit is going, where the fuck is the door. However he was stuck, he couldn't move. It felt as if his body was trapped by some strange force making it impossible for him to react to what as coming next. The girl slowly stopped appearing human as legs sprouted from her ears and appeared to be more of a hollow than anything else. He tried to draw his blade, but that didn't work as he was stuck unable to react.
Then suddenly without knowing it everything flashed back to normal, he was shocked to see that the crying girl was back to normal and was now asking him if he was there to help her. This made him feel uneasy as he knew that normal humans shouldn't be able to see him. She didn't appear as if she was a soul, so how could she see him. Something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. However his good nature started to shine through as without even hesitating he spoke to her in a soft and comforting tone. “Yea I'm here to help ya. Come on let's get ya outa this place.” He extended out his hand towards her as he slowly made his way closer to her keeping one hand on his blade ready just in case something would happen.

The screaming from the Hollow upstairs intensified as Wycliff lead the girl out of the apartment and into the hall. "THIEFFFF!!!" The doors to the outside slammed shut as spots of the ceiling broke free and hurtled towards the ground. Well... that's how it appeared. Upon a closer look, the ceiling would still be intact, but there was definitely something falling. The blobs stretched out to reveal eight jointed legs and a hinged mouth with fangs. "The Hell? Snake Spiders? Whatever you've gotten us into, fool of a Shinigami, we will repay in blood ten times what you've spilt here today... Krv Zivot does not forget."
The men and the boy rushed towards the stairs, firing bullets into the creatures as they moved. What they didn't watch out for, though, was the other doors. One door opened up to surprise a bodyguard as a massive serpent head reached out, grabbed his body with its jaw, and pulled him back into the apartment to eat him in relative peace. Ejj was just as unlucky, being grabbed by a similar snake from a different Apartment. Wycliff was the only decent being left in the complex, that he knew of, and he still had a great deal of ground to cover. Did he bring the girl with him or leave her behind? Either way, he had to find some way of dealing with or avoiding the snakes and spider snakes first.
While it seemed that the girl was fine, the hollow that had kept her here wasn't happy about what he had done and even cried out in rage towards him. “Ahh fuck this shit won't be good....” With those words said he saw the spiders slowly drop down from the ceiling and two of the people that were here with him grabbed by what seemed like snake like creatures. “Stay behind me will ya? And keep an eye out for more shit dropping around.” If there was one thing Wycliff was good at, it was fighting and he knew that right now he was at a huge disadvantage with having to protect someone from so many beasts in an unknown environment without an exact count of how many things were lurking and given that two snakes just jumped out of random doors he wasn't exactly ready to run head first into this fight.
However there was one advantage that he had, he was at the end of the hallway meaning that everything that could attack him had to come from the front meaning that he could see every attack. He unsheathed his blade and prepared himself to attack anything that come towards him. For the spiders he would deal with them by stabbing at them in the core, no need to go after limbs if he could stab them to death with one blow he would. It made no sense to waste so many actions when dealing with this many foes. For the snakes however he knew that it would be best to stay out of range of their attacks and the moment one got close enough he would shumpo past it dragging his blade across whatever surface they would be slithering on to use the momentum to slash the serpent in half. However none of this would take place till those creatures would move towards him. Right now he had someone to protect and he wasn't about to be reckless about this whole situation.
OOC: (feel free to have Wycliff act accordingly to the movements of the snakes and spiders. Right now he's playing super defensive given no kido and no release XD)

The spiders quickly turned their attention to Wycliff as he guarded the little girl, but they were weak and a single strike of his Zanpakutou was enough to kill them. The snakes, on the other hand, were a different story. They hadn't emerged yet, but they could pop out of the apartments at any time. Creeping forwards slowly, Wycliff tried to be as defensive as possible. It was slow moving down the coridoor and the girl was getting more and more scared by the moment. one... two... three...
The hell-bound boy from Krv Zivot was not as defensive as Wycliff. An empty six-shot revolver jumped into his hand from his belt loop as if by magic and a compression of reiatsu could be felt inside the weapon. All six shots were fired in rapid succession into the door that the snake had taken the boy's bodyguard came from. The snake, riled up by being shot six times in the middle of a meal, emerged from the apartment with a man sized bulge in its throat. With a wink and a step technique that left just a pillar of light, the boy was gone across the hall leaving Wycliff alone with the crazed snake that just survived six bullets.
In response, Wycliff stepped forwards with Shunpo, arm extended. The snake was hard to carve through, so the action would hurt the Shinigami's arm a fair bit, but the creature would be bifurcated by the blow. Blood spewed across the floor as the creature writhed in pain. The corpse of the bodyguard also was freed by Wycliff's actions, revealing a petrified spirit. The soul couldn't stop shaking. His soul chain was already snapped and was quickly shrinking due to the sheer terror he was feeling. Nothing like he'd ever felt before...
And there was yet one snake who just emerged from the apartment to see Wycliff kill its partner...

He grunted a bit in pain as he felt his arm hurt from killing that snake. However at the very least there was only one last thing in his way. One more snake, and a scared soul who's chain was broken. Wycliff wasn't a fool, he knew that this poor soul would end up as a hollow if he left it alone for too long or even worse food for a hollow. Without giving it a second thought he tapped the hilt of his sword on the forhead of the soul preforming a konsu on it to send it off into the soul society all the while keeping an eye on the last snake who was before him. With the girl behind him and this monster in front of him he had a few options, but he wasn't about to risk her life.
The big thing about snakes is they have a very distinct attack pattern based on what kind of snake they were and he knew this, heck with all the time he spent in Brazil he was bound to pick up a thing or two about snakes. The only sort of snakes that swallowed people whole were normally constrictors which was a bad thing given that they were some of the worst kind of snakes to deal with. However he had an idea, one crazy enough to work he held his sword in both hands in front of his body tilted forward as well as lowering his center of gravity so that his legs were behind him and the front half of his body was forward leaving the only place to attack him was right near his head. Like this he would slowly inch towards the snake waiting to be attacked.

The Konso ritual sent the soul "heaven" wards, leaving just the Shinigami, little girl, snake, and dead spider corpses in the hallway. Wycliff began some strange fighting stance, inching towards the snake. While it was a wild animal with the instincts to match... it didn't seem to be that worried about whatever it is the man was doing. The constrictor opened its mouth wide, even while both of them were feet apart in distance. It almost looked like it was yawning... Suddenly, a long red arm shot out from inside the creature's throat, moving quickly across the room to grab the little girl and start to try to pull her in and devour her. She appeared to be the easier target, apparently... Would Wycliff's stance have accounted for someone else being attacked?
