Reunion: Sandlogged Kuchiki [JT, R]

[Kyomei Kuchiki]

Cinder was temporarily out of the picture, as far as Kyomei could see, so the Kuchiki had no choice but to consider him either blown away or just remaining out of sight by choice. Regardless, the Shinigami couldn't see the Arrancar, so he had to consider him still an active threat and somewhere out of his visual range. As the "human" was revealed to be a Hollow (and a big one at that), the Commander needed to defend himself from forward and backward threats. Immediately a tall and wide barrier formed at his back, curved into a half dome. Danku was a powerful technique that would make the Shinigami feel like sunburned blisters had formed up and down his skin, but he was now protected from his back, both sides, and above him. He just had to worry about attacks from the front.

The Dragon was getting ready to roar, so the Kuchiki Commander let out a burst of reiatsu. His Aura Call grew stronger, to Class 4, in preparation for what was to come. The shockwaves ripped through the air, but the Kuchiki simply dropped his staff and held out his hands. The result? He caught the shockwave barehanded and pushed it back at the Hollow. It wouldn't do too much as the strengths of the shockwave and Hollow were equal, but it was a powerful show of force. One that hurt the commander as he felt the knife stab added on to his sunburns and increased pain from Siji's negative healing aura.

Speaking of Siji... Kyomei intended to pressure her as well. He had already blocked Cinder's attack with his Danku and thrown Saejong's shockwave back at him, but he intended to give Siji something to worry about as well. Kyomei fired out a ball of red flames up into the air in a direction where it wouldn't hit anything but a stray bird. With a point of his finger, the Shakkaho started to curve downwards. The pointed finger was thrust downwards and the grenade-like kidou sped downwards aimed right at the Quincy. If she was hit, she could probably heal, but she would at least be prompted to do something unless her comrades intervened.

When that shockwave was blocked, immediately both Cinder and Siji seemed shaken, but not by Kyomei. Suddenly Siji vanished. For the briefest blur of an instant, if Kyomei had sharper instincts, he might have seen Cinder grabbing the girl and getting the fuck out of there, sonidoing the hell away as suddenly, Saejong erupted. Every inch of the being's body burst upward as a powerful shockwave obliterated the ground around him in a massive upward burst of movement that was Strength Step. The sheer strength ofh is upward move cause a cone of air that devastated the surroundings and launched him up into the air, slamming into that kido ball and plowing straight through it even as it blasted a considerable chunk out of the dragon. Thankfully his own shockwave had done nothing to him, and EVEN with Kyomei's incredible reiatsu strength, it wasn't THAT much higher than his strength. Higher yes, but still it was high enough that that incredibly tough body could tank a LOT of damage.

What was MORE was that the arrow dust on his body was continuously healing him. With his body now almost an UNBELEIVABLE distance up in the air, easily four times his own impressive height as his sheer mass was moved up so high, suddenly those wings flared out on the dragon. Those eyes suddenly blazed angrily down at Kyomei as behind him, there was a sudden ripple as of all things, Cinder appeared behind him, and dropped behind those wings, hiding there as suddenly, Saejong dropped into a dive, a dive so fierce that Kyomei would actually SEE the air heating up as he began streaking back down toward the ground.

Suddenly, the massive dragon's body was suddenly twisting, spiraling as the massive beast spun like a drill on it's way down, that sharp snout like an arrow as Saejong suddenly sped up and a brilliant orange flame erupted around his body. And just as he was about to drop and hit the ground, that massive bulking form twisted, until both clawed feet were facing down and Saejong unleashed a double kick toward Kyomei. Once those clawed feet made contact, the flames around the hollow's body suddenly gushed downward, the downdraft of flame burning along the ground. But strangely, the flames didn't burn the ground, they simply sank into it, and suddenly the ground underneath Kyomei turned to liquid rock, turning the entire area surrounding them into one big hazard.

Almost instantaneously after the impact, Cinder appeared, directly behind Kyomei, about to unleash a double-fisted attack to Kyomei from behind, two arrows primed to be stabbed into the shinigami from behind. Siji was nowhere to be found, but had ACTUALLY been dropped of on Saejong's back in order to hide her from the shinigami as the hollow unleashed that massively distracting attack, this combined with the sudden attack from behind with Siji's negative healing arrows was meant to further damage the captain and make it all the harder. Reasonably speaking, cinder could use AAP to stay above the lava. But Kyomei would have no ability to stay hovering off the ground in soul society.

Or that's how it would have gone. Were it not for the furry blur that slipped past Cinder. One moment he was there, ready to stab Kyomei from behind, and the next he had Ajraka standing on his feet, her tail poised as he suddenly seemed very....in pain. A Senka, used to slam her tail between his legs twice, using his feet as a platform to grab her father by the coat, and then vanish with a shunpo as she aimed to drag the man out of that massive lava pit, hoping that Saejong's attack hadn't done too much damage to him.

"ENOUGH! That is more than enough from all of you!" the otter would chitter ANGRILY, those curved, pointed teeth of hers bared as she looked at the absolute mess of the landscape that Saejong had made, and even leered a little At Cinder, even though she was mostly angry at the dragon. True, Kyomei PROBABLY would have sortof likely had a way to deal with the magma, but the fact of the matter was that even if Siji could have relieved her father of his injuries, she didn't WANT her father to be injured by someone else.

Looking Kyomei up and down she frowned, her hissing dying down a little before she attempted to forcibly hug him and begin looking him over for injuries, fully prepared to bring him to Siji if he was. Meanwhile, Saejong stood in his own lava pit, looking.... well like a dragon. They typically didn't have much expression. Cinder meanwhile was on the ground holding his brutalized genitals, having completely not been paying attention to Ajraka, his poor scrote had been all too exposed to his Admiral's brutality.

"Enough, We heal, eat, rest, and then my turn!" clearly trying to hid her worry with anger, even devolving a little in her speech patterns as those worried eyes continued to scan her father. Admittedly she had never seen him in actual combat. A spar perhaps when she was a bit younger? Sure! When she was barely a teen otter pup she had been quite happy to see his playful battling with her. but this? She had never seen, and she was very worried for her old man.

Saejong used Strength Step, Grand Fall (a fancy dropping double kick that has a 1.5x daage multiplier but causes muscle damage to the legs. mitigated by Siji's arrowhax), as well as a special hollwo custom which causes a shockwave to emit from an attack. The shockwave looks like flames and resonates at a frequency which causes the ground to rapidly vibrate, heating it up and liquifying it into magma.

Cinder used simple stealth and sonido, as well as aap to keep off the lava. Also took a senka to the dick

Siji was a total damsel in distress.

Ajraka used Senka on Cinder, and then sonido to get papa out of there.

[Kyomei Kuchiki]

His shakkaho had been obliterated by the Hollow's Strength step, followed by a dropping spinning attack that turned the ground into Lava. Not wanting to be next to that, Kyomei had used Shunpo to dodge Saejong's relatively slow kick and was using Enkosen to stand above the lava. He hadn't noticed Cinder behind him, though, and would have been stabbed through with the anti-healing arrows if Ajraka hadn't stepped in. He could only give a slow clap, even though he was cringing at the punishment cinder had received to the junk. "Alright, I concede. You three are more than powerful enough to guard my daughter."

Using his staff, he used Amimono Shimokumo to freeze the magma into ice. Would be better than molten rock for training on. But he had to admit, he was tired. 3 on 1 combat was difficult, especially when it was a team that worked so well together. "I heard something about eating. Got any pistachios for your old man? Maybe some pie?" He laughed to make sure she knew he was okay, especially since she seemed so worried. Worried and angry at the levels of violence her subordinates had shown to her dad. But it would be okay. He was tough.

Honestly Kyo would likely have been surprised if he knew just how often Ajraka got physical with her crew. given the number of hollows and arrancar she dealt with though it wouldnt be surprising. And at the change of subject to that of food, Ajraka's face immediately lit up, a big ole grin spreading across her face as she made a happy little chirp and hugged her father, glad that he was alright and hungry. Immediately she spun about to the crew that had been spectating. Most of them looked just as strong as those that had gotten involved, and the quincy was already being ushered in, checked over as she was the newest member of the crew and frankly one of the most cherished. A pair of salamander-like hollows beelined for the girl and immediately began l9icking her wounds, the salve healing them up as the girl gave a sheepish smile and patted both of them. as they ushered her back to the ship.

"We don't have things like that." Ajraka noted sheepishly. "Some of the crew have a weird itch around nuts, so we have other things instead." She noted lightly, nodding to the crew, most of whim had headed back into th ship, but cinder did catch the look and vanished in a sonido, seeming to have recovered thanks to the healer quincy. A moment later he arrived with a small box, promptly opening it up and setting down what was a fully cooked mallard duck.

Now if Kyomei remembered hard enough, he would remember that Ajraka had been a thief up until like five years into her introduction into the kuchiki family, now he might WONDER how she and her crew had access to such a fancy dish on demand. He might even wonde r why they had ready access to food at all. And he might wonder just how much of it was stolen. But surely his lovely daughter would never do such things right?

Ajraka in any case, wasn't even trying to explain where the food came from. she was fussing over her father's injuries. The moment the fight had been over, that negative healing aura had been turned into a positive one, and already he would likely feel as good as new as his injuries were treated by the powerful medic. But even so Ajraka still worried. "If you like we can wait until tomorrow before you and I fight Father. It would probably be best if you took it easy.' She noted with a firm nod. He WAS an old-ass man after all. He even had a walking stick! Subtly, Ajraka may or may not have begun hatching plans on distracting him from the spar. Maybe if she got him to tell some of his old stories he'd completely forget about it and just fall asleep mid-story.

The roast duck looked delicious, though it wasn't pie and pistachios. Inwardly a little bit disappointed, but understanding, the Shinigami made his way back into the ship while carrying the duck for Cinder. "I wouldn't call it a fight between us, Aj. I can't imagine trying to use any sort of full power against you. So let's just focus on dinner and see where we go from there. After all, it has been far too long since we've talked. I'm sure you have plenty of stories to tell." To be honest, Kyomei couldn't have cared if she had stolen the duck. He was quite hungry even despite the healing aura that had been applied to him.

Settling down to eat, Kyomei reflected on the full on battle that had ensued between Ajraka's crew mates and himself. A Quincy, a Hollow, and an Arrancar, all working together... It was unheard of. The shock of it was just now starting to get to him. Ajraka, a Beast Clanswoman, really had united multiple races under one banner. But just what banner was that? "First, tell me a little bit about your ship and your mission. I assume that you don't just explore the Wilderness and Hueco Mundo in this Gillian, right? What is the purpose of this crew?" It was a warm hearted question. A tone of curiosity, but good natured curiosity.

[Ajraka Kuchiki]

Ajraka smiled sheepishly as they settled down to eat, leaning her head a little to the side as she watched her father eat up. Of course she did pause a little as the man explained that the mention of fighting. She rubbed at her chin a little and had to think it over. She supposed it WOULD be good practice. Not to mention it'd been AGES since she had actually gotten a good fight out of something. Surely a fight with her father would be beneficial to both of them! After all it was... strange. She had almost ALWAYS been faster than her father in many regards, but as of late that difference had become more and more apparent. Thinking things over, she rubbed her chin.

"Well, t first it was just... a ship. When I went on that mission to Heuco Mundo, I was kidnapped and taken aboard it as a slave. After I came to be the Admiral of it, I'm not entirely sure that it was from here. I looked into it, and using the map on it I found an.... interesting place." She slowly stood up, looking around befre she gently looked in the direction of her crew. "It turned out that this ship had gone rogue. It was from a place where ships like this are common. I went there and..." She paused, gently running her fingers along the shard around her neck before she slipped it off, holding it infront of her and setting it down infront of her father.

IMMEDIATELY he would feel.... not a power... but an influence. Doubts. Worries. Things that normally plagued him. It didn't eliminate them, but it seemed to... soothe him. And he would also notice that all the members of the crew wore them, though the feeling from Ajraka's was clearly the most pronounced. "I saw..... something the size of soul society... made entirely of this. It was like... an enormous.... piece of something. It was enormous. And it was part of something much bigger! It took days to actually reach it, and it was... enormous." She noted, rubbing her cheek as she chittered excitedly just remembering it.

"and father.. it was.... like my crew. All sorts of lost ones. All sorts of beasts, humans, spirits... they all were together." She noted, pausing for a moment as she remembered what the other Admiral had told her, her eyes drifting closed as she recited. "Keepers of the Sands. Admirals of the Ships. Quartermasters of the Crew. Finders of Truth. Absolved of their Sins." She paused, trailing off for a moment before her attention shifted back to her father. "It is a place that is.... not peaceful. But... coexistant." She noted, stroking her chin as she thought this over in her head. "and the mission is to keep it safe. And to put down those who would disrupt it. Hollows. Humans. Shinigami. Many..... different people make it up. Not all of them .....work out." She noted softly. "So what I do is I keep an eye on the borders. And the others that live there. I make sure they stay in line. I am like.... A captain!" She noted, puffing her chest up a little as it finally occured to her.

"It is my duty... to the Haven in Hueco Mundo." She articulated with a slow nod of her head. "To others who were lost, or found, in Las Septimas Arenas." She paused, rubbing her cheeks dfervently for a moment before she let out a breath. After that she chuckled, and gave a sheepish little smile. "It is hard to explain." She giggled slightly, rubbing gently along her neck. Then again she had always had trouble understanding the puepose of captains, but well, now she saw things from the other side.

[Kyomei Kuchiki]

Kyomei finished his food and reclined at the table, relaxing and listening to his daughter's story. It wasn't very short, and it had emotion and pain that brought a small tear to the father's eye. He looked around the room, to the crowd of crew mates she had command of. "I'm just glad that you're in good hands." Wiping away the tear, he reached for the Fragment again. He didn't touch it, but he wanted to hold his hand closer to its soothing influence. He hadn't felt this calm and at peace in... well... a very long time... Since before he lost one of his best friends.

Bitersweet memories of his lost friends and the Ogatago base, Las Noches invasion, and Vandenreich Tower filled his mind, but they weren't as painful as they had been. His heart didn't ache and burn like it had at the memory of the pain he had endured and conquered. It was... therapeutic. He wanted that crystal, very badly, but he decided that his current job was better than giving up everything and joining his daughter in the sands of Hueco Mundo... For now, at least. He had too much to study, too much to learn in order to keep people alive. War had carved too much pain into the Soul Society and he needed to help restore it.

As the story ended, the Kuchiki found himself weary from his travel and battle and started to slip off into sleep...

[Ajraka Kuchiki]

Ajraka paused, her head tilting slightly as she noticed how Fixated her father was to the crystal. She couldn't help but smile softly to herself, chuckling lightly and standing up, making her way over to the side, opening a small box and gently selecting a small shard. Obviously she had a good number of them. The inside of the ship was infused with the stuff after all. It was easy to get them, and obviously she had to have them for new crewmembers. Making her way back to the table, she set the item down for her father and smiled. "The Seven do not hoard their gifts. Besides. This way, if the Sands need you, you will be all the easier to find." She noted softly, taking her own shard back and slipping it around her neck, pausing as she took a moment to look off to the side.

"It's as good a time as any. Let's go outside. I think it's important that you understand. I want to show you that it's me who protects my crew." She noted with a soft smile at her father. She rose to her feet and smiled, putting her hands on her hips. "We have plenty of strong medics. Please don't hold back...." She closed her eyes, thinking it over. Yes.... yes this was the right thing to do. If she held back... there would be doubt in his mind. She HAD to make sure that he understood. "I'm not a little pup anymore. I am Admiral of this Ship. A leader of the Seven Sands. Father... you will be the first to know about me. I want to make sure that when others come to know of me. They speak my name not with fear of my name. But with fear of me." She smirked.

Kyomei took the gift with great reverence and respect. He felt honored, and immediately bound the necklace so the fragment would place directly over his heart. Where his daughter lie. He felt the calming presence soothe his nerves which had been high ever since he had failed in the attack on Las Noches. Well, had really been high since his interactions with the devil that left him scarred. He was surpised, though, that his daughter wanted to get to the combat so soon after dinner. With a shrug, he followed her out.

"Don't hold back? It'll be hard, Aj. But I'll do it for you. Prepare yourself well, my daughter!"

Reiatsu sparked on his fingertips as he prepared a vicious starting Kidou. Flames emerged from the ground underneath her as he pointed and fused Gouzen Demizu with Shakkaho to create a tidal wave of flames starting right where she was standing and sending out behind her. It was a simple fusion, taking the form of Gouzen Demizu and the element of Shakkaho. Plus, fusing those two would only make it feel like he was stabbed twice. Nothing he hadn't felt hundreds of times before while working on his every day studies.

Ajraka couldn't help but smile calmly, her shoulders rolling as she watched her father. Once they were outside she could FEEL it... she could feel a sort of excitement. One she had been feeling for... quite a while actually. She had never actually noticed it but.... this was exciting for her. And not in the 'peeking in the boys lockerroom' kinda way as usual. This was... fun. After all, ages and ages ago she had always loved play-sparring with her daddy. It had been cute and it was really how she had learned what she knew about Bakudo at the time.

But now she didn't have to play. Neither of them did.

She knew that this new job of hers... it was going to challenge her in a lot of ways. She hadn't even begun to scratch the surface on what sort of new experiences she would be having. This was going to be a dramatic change in her life. Not just wandering around like pirates, seeking a place to belong. She.... her Crew.... they had a HOME now. A home to stay. A home to protect. A home to move forward in. They were a prt of something much bigger than just themselves. SHE was par tof something so much bigger than she was.

Ages ago, when she had been nothing but a ... pest? She'd had nothing. And now she had a crew. She had a family. She had a purpose. And all of it... every single bit of it... she had her father to thank for. Even standing across from him. For the first time as equals. She couldn't help the tears that welled up in her eyes, gulping loudly as she clenched her paws and did her best to keep a firm stance. This was the pivoting point. She was going to prove herself not just to her father. But to her Crew., To EVERYONE.

And even to that Arrancar. The one she had almost murdered so long ago. She HEARD that the woman had found the Seven as well. Once enemies... now fellow Admirals. She..... she especially.... This was for her. The Arrancar that had opened Ajraka's rage-blurred eyes. Taught her not to charge recklessly. Taught her that there was more to a person than their reactions, or even their actions. That doing a bad thing did not make you a bad person.

"...... Father....." She murmured softly, the air suddenly growing so very very still as she watched him. Even her own mild ability to sense reiatsu had picked up on his sudden begining to place a spell. She had never noticed before, but then again, her dad was so powerful it would be impossible to hide his preparation from even someone with as weak an energy sensory as she had. The sudden shift in sensation. Just an instant before those flames were produced, she felt reiatsu building up beneath her.....

"Yes...."

Suddenly Ajraka's spiritual pressure absolutely rocketed from her body as in an incredibly fast motion, she dragged her claws down in front of her face, instantly a titanium mask matetialized ove rher features, her body suddenly bursting with energy as the sheer force of her muscles flexing caused an explosion of air around her body, blowing the flames outward just as they had begun to form, causing that rush of fire to blossom outward and away from her. the force wasn't enough to completely stomp out the flames, but it WAS strong enough to blow it outward by sheer virtue of the attack being made of flames and not something more solid.

Her claws dipped against her palm, and suddenly, that dripping oil that always covered her body formed soft strands, dragging her claws through it, collecting oil along those points before she suddenly slashed, her claws streaking that liquid oil as that slimy, almost invisible substance suddenly surged forward, streaking toward Kyomei at Ajraka's own new maximum speed (2000). Those lines of opil snagging the flames of his kido, setting them ablaze just moments before they would strike him. Ajraka herself suddenly vanishing.

With Kyomei's attention forced to fix on the clawing attack, his attention would briefly be moved away from Ajraka. That, ontop of the fact that she was very suddenly moving way faster than he could ever hope to keep track of, allowed her to suddenly apply her stealth skills, dropping completely from her father's detection, permitted by virtue of the fact that her techniques were all bodily and didn't expel reiatsu outside of its activation. With that stealth in play, Ajraka used a senka, seeking to slip by her father's left side, modifying the attack. Instead of tearing her claws through the core of his soul, she grappled,launching a curling kick, though instead of actually striking him, she curled her clawed foot in an attempt to wrap the extremity around the back of his neck, and in a vicious stomp, plant her father face-first into the sand beneath him.

Of course this attack, surprisingly. Was actually planned out. She was well aware that assuming her father was taking her seriously, he would take on one of two approaches to the incoming attack, based on how he had handled her subordinates. He would likely aim to use a barrier to block those claws, or would simply overpower it with an offensive counter-attack of his own. Because of this, she bent that senka, so that instead of two attacks hidden in a flash step, it was a single attack hidden between two flash steps, a step slightly off to the side, and then another that approached her father from an angle, slipping her around whatever countermeasure he had for her ranged attack in order to use that blistering speed to start off this spar. She didn't enjoy it... but she had t o injure her father to get him to understand how serious she was.

She needed him to go all out. So that she could assert her superiority.

He should have known his daughter was too strong to be challenged by a kidou originating underneath her. She blew it away with sheer force of strength creating a shockwave to direct the flames around her, keeping her foot paws safe while protecting the rest of her body as well. But she wasn't done yet, instead letting her Yaseishin form and take advantage of his own attack to create flaming flying slashing through the air with her oil. The Kuchiki Commander reacted as quick as he could to the attack, putting up a barrier of Enkosen that stopped the flaming attack.

Just as he did that, though, he felt a hand on the back of his neck shoving him towards the ground face first. She was really serious about this fight! Instinctively, the man cast Surasorutoeira, the area thrust Kidou. The kidou reflected off of the ground and bounced back upwards, sending both Ajraka and Kyomei flying sky high. It would hurt the Shinigami to be flung face first into the kidou he cast, and then hurt again because he cast a kidou, but now he had a little more control by nature of being in the air where he was fairly comfortable fighting.

If Ajraka had kept hold of the man with her powerful grip, she'd suddenly feel lightning coursing through her body as he cast a mastered Tsuzuri Raiden through her own limb and into her body. Planting his foot with Advanced Air Ground, he thrust his hand to make contact with any part of her body using Shunpo Karin to ensure the hit. "Kin." If he made contact with his 4,000 speed thrust at such close range (them still being connected and all even flying through the air), a thick fabric would wrap around his daughter as Iron shafts emerged from nowhere to throw her groundwards and pin her completely and immobilize her. A powerful combination of techniques, but a combination that would leave the commander gasping for breath due to the sheer blistering pain he was in right now.

Surasutoeria is much like an advanced form of Hado # 1, Sho. However, instead of being a directional thrust in the direction indicated, it is an area thrust, pushing away from all directions out from the user. When learned, this Hado pushes objects away at a speed equal to the user’s reiatsu strength. When it is mastered, the speed is double that of the user’s reiatsu strength.

How to use technique:

The user need only state the name and push outwards with their hands.

Technique Drawbacks

Because this Hado pushes things in all directions, the user will be forced upwards by the opposite force of the Hado hitting the ground beneath them and being reflected back. It isn’t possible to avoid this because the reiatsu strength needed to push the entirety of the world would be in the millions. Also, if an object has a greater reiatsu strength or a greater strength than that of the user's reiatsu strength then the object will not be affected.

The fabric wraps around the body and then pins it to the ground while the iron shafts pin it even more in several overlaying X patterns on top of the body. Those caught in this technique are completely immobilized,

How to use technique:

This can be done by aiming the casting hand at the target, but if it is done this way then the bindings fall from the sky, allowing the technique to be dodged. If this is done through physical contact, it is impossible to dodge, and the bindings appear instantly.

Incantation and Effect:

This spell can be broken with reiatsu strength advantage of 50%, but the incantation makes it unbreakable. Incantation unknown.

[Ajraka Kuchiki]

That sudden surge of reiatsu was.... tricky. She felt it, just as she was about to slam her father's face into the ground. But she had been focused on her attack. So she had simply followed through, bouncing up along with her father, keeping her hold on him as he so very suddenly was up in the air. She processed. That mind working rapidly as she began to get the hang of it. At first it had been easy, she had been standing still when she had avoided his first kido. The next one, that outward burst, had been much more problematic. But she sensed it. she just needed to get her reaction time up to speed. She usually didn't HAVE to focus this hard...

Up in the air, she watched her father, and then she felt it again. That sensation. She saw his foot press against an invisible surface. And she acted immediately. With a hard WRENCH, she twisted him, slamming her hip into her father, and in the same motion flexing to the side, a loud BOOM eresonating as she used a shockwave to propel herself at her father, hip-checking him off of his own air ground platform and then rapidly planting her foot onto it before it could fade. That brief moment of contact STILL stung immeasurably. That lightning was mmediately painful and she could feel it racing through her body. But.... she was tough. Not only was her strength superior to the power of that lightning, but she had a high tolerance to pain.

And unlike normal lightning. The kido did not lock her muscles. So she endured that shock to snag her father's foothold. Or at the very least share it with him by planting her foot ontop of his. eyeing him as she let those eyes widenr, those golden eyes narrowing into almost slits as she watched him. And she saw it. It was... about twice as fast as she was. But she was still tremendously fast. That coupled with her ridiculous reflexes. It wasn't a clear vision. But she saw it. And she didn't need to be fast enough to dodge it completely, she needed only to angle herself. Her intention being to make it a glancing blow. But when his hand made contact, it was only an instant, as it immediately slid across her cleavage before sliding right past her. IF she had been paying attention to that strike she would have been a little amazed that her oil could do that.

But she had bigger wories. Even if That contact was infantisimally brief, her father would note it. And even before his mouth began to move, she felt that oppressive spiritual power begin to well up, and she reacted immediately, pressing off of either that platform, or off of the top of her father's foot to senka once again, this time grappling that thrusting arm, and promptly twisting viciously, aiming to rip his forearm out of the socket, dislocating his arm at the elbow, and then using the second attack to grab onto her father's shoulder from behind, claws sinking into flesh, making sure that he wouldn't be able to shove her away without forcing her to rip a considerable chunk out of him, possibly even costing him his arm.

She would need that hold for something after all. And assuming he did not make such a sacrifice....

If Kyomei had been looking over his shoulder, or even looking the other way when she had started her attack, he probably would have seen it. But as it were, chances were that he would have no idea the way that the air would have suddenly seemed to blossom in dozens of clawed hands, a blur of motion as Ajraka's own 4000 speed assault commenced, a burst of reiatsu as suddenly she activated her yaseishin, her body almost instantly swelling, those claws that werehopefully burie din his shoulder would double, close to triple in size as suddenly, he had a 12' otter latched onto him.

Hundred Fangs.

Those fists would be a blur, arching, swiping, thrusting as she peppered Kyomei with that barrage of punches. Even if he had the reaction speed to put up a barrier, the sheer force of those thrusting fists would break almost any barrier that he put up, either instantly or somewhere in the midt of one hundred punches all aimed at his left shoulder. Those punches moving at a strength and speed that would cause the flesh and fabric in her way to glow red with built up heat before, if all was done correctly, his shoulder would likely explode, the shockwaves of those punches continuing to travel to pepper the sands below with dozens of bursting craters.

did it occur to her just how violent she was being? Well no not really. Behind that titanium mask she was... focused. It wasn't about wether or not she wanted to injure her father. That wasn't the point. Old as he was, he was still a shinigami. He could more than take it. Even if he couldn't. Siji wasn't even the most powerful healer among her crew. He would be put back together and patched up no matter how badly she injured him. But this... this was about her place. she should have held back a bit... She honestly should have been pulling her punches. But.... ever since she had watched that pretty young man turn stone into metal.... She had always wondered.

Could she get stronger?
that burning curiosity was more than enough to push her love fr her father.... a little to the side. Nothing would EVER push it away completely. But... if she could beat him... He'd never have to worry about her again. But more importantly.... SHE could protect HIM. She had seen the monsters in hueco mundo. Seen what the hollows could be. The kinds of monsters they could become. The twisted nightmares that they could conjure. And she would admit. Were it not for some of the more unique members of her crew. She would have died. Many times over.

Seeing him fighting her crew had made her realize just how mortal her father was. Even if it meant hurting him. If it translated into being able to save her father from a REAL danger... she'd do whatever it took.

Kyomei's hand... slipped? His punch just slid off of the otter's oily fur, foiling his bakudo cast. Would have been a battle ending bakudo, too. The Kuchiki Commander was hip checked, losing his balance for a moment as his side burned from the force of his daughter's attack. She followed up the hip check with a brutal senka attack, moving faster than her father could react to and tearing up his arm and dislocating it in two places to the point where it hung useless at his side. He gritted his teeth and let out a hiss of pain. Not a scream yet, but a slow release of sound due to the pain.

Ajraka just kept attacking, though. She didn't know when to quit, sending her fists forwards in a hundred blow gatling aimed for the man's left shoulder. A few blows got through, quite painfully, before Kyomei put up an enkosen barrier that gave him relief for just a few blows before it started to crack. He responded with Tetsu supaiku fused with Tsuzuri Raiden... thrice. Six spikes per technique use popped out of his body as he bled on each spot.. His shoulders, his arms, and his torso all grew electrical spikes. Ajraka's assault, even if she moved to a different target, would only result in her punching a spike that would shock her again and again. Dozens of times. But his counter attack wasn't done yet.

"Forgive me, Aj."

Soren Sokkatsui, at Kyomei's Reiatsu Strength, was an absolutely massive attack with two projectiles. Casting it twice was just unkind. At this range, there would be no good angle to dodge. A blast was directed from all sides: One to her arm at the left, one to her arm at the right, one to her legs beneath and one to the head above. The attacks were massive, and carried his full 1800 reiatsu strength. The blasts originated at his chest, too, skipping his torn up arms. It was an attack that could be lethal if Siji wasn't on the ground ready to heal them...

Especially because Kyomei was going to need it also.

Those shocks hurt. And she did manage to adjust herself. Hitting the sides of those spikes as best she could. EVEN if they blocked, the kinetic energy still transferred to the man's body. He would get shockwaves of her fists being slammed into him over and over. She didn't have to hit him because her strength slammed him with the air itself, something even those spikes couldn't protect him from. Of course she DID have tohand it to him. Her arm was shot. Bleeding profusely and with several puncture wounds littering her arm from those spikes, her eyes suddenly grew wide as she noticed the sudden spike of reiatsu. And she felt that something... Was going to happen.

Those... looked almost like ceros. And she tensed. She suddenly felt energy erupting within her, crackles of her spiritual energy running along her limbs like wildfire. She had gotten Oil all over him of course. Admittedly it was nowhere near as strong as her usual oil. It wasn't even worth noting how strong it was. But the energy she felt in herself was much more important. And with a sudden roar, she faced those Soren Sokatsui bravely, and let her willpower burst from her body.

From Kyomei's vantage point, he would see fice tears in one of the soren sokatsui's streams. And suddenly a clawed hand reached through, grabbing him by the face. The kido was just bending around the hand, not even touching her as it roared around her body. NameKuji. The Reiatsu repellant. Regardless of his reiatsu strength, all four of those soren sokatsui molded around her, like water around a rock in a stream, those four blasts ended with Ajraka left completely unscathed, and those vicious eyes of hers would lock onto him, and she would pull him in. and for the first time he would see the eyes of his daughter in battle. It was hard before. The titanium mask blocked it after all. But up this close? He would see them.

He would see the viciousness behind them.

And then it would be gone. The mask. Those ferrocious eyes. Both of them dissolved away as Ajraka was just... standing there, beaming. Happy. Just as happy, and carefree as the day he had met her. He would see that same girl from before. He'd see that white fur go back to beign brown as her Yaseishin ended. and well... she didn't shrink back down to her normal size. Still rather enormous. But instantly. All at once. The changes. His daughter's war face just washed away. And that beautiful brown face would be smiling at him. She would fall with him. As doubtlessly he would probably hardly have much strength left. She landed gracefully, a small crater forming as she... hugged him. Even those spikes just bent around her.

She smiled, and kissed her dad's cheek, and chittered happily. A noise he hadn't heard her make since she had begun her training as a noble lady. Once they were on the ground, Siji as well as several other healers were already rushing in. Cinder was beside them in an instant, carrying the healer quincy as Ajraka smiled, hugging her father lovingly. She was just so happy. Because it was at that point, when she had bulled her way through those soren sokatsui. That was the moment she knew. She COULD have finished him off. Punched him through the ground and into the menos forest. But she didn't need to. Because she knew.

"I won! I won dad!" And even though it would sound narcissistic to a bystander. To Ajraka it meant something different. She has, even if just in a spar, surpassed her father. Which meant that... when the time came. She'd be able to save him. So for all intents and purposes. As of that moment. Her father was safe. She didn't have to end the battle definitively. Knowing that was enough for her.

Well, it was no fault of Kyomei's that his daughter bested him. The Melee Hana were, well, superior to the Magic Hana when it came to close quarters combat. They had been specifically designed to foil fighters such as himself. As the blasts of fire avoided Ajraka, Kyomei knew that he had to give up. He had plenty of tricks up his sleeve, but the new Magic Hana that he had learned just weren't effective at close range like the Melee Hana were. If only he still could cast kidou from his blood, then he could have succeeded in binding his daughter in the unbreakable Bakudo.

So with his face gripped by the otter, he had options but he chose to give them up. His mind raced with all of the kidou he could have chosen that had physical forms that wouldn't be affected by Namekuji, but as Oogata melted from Ajraka's face he realized that she was finally done proving herself to him. Though, in his mind, most of what she proved was that the Melee Hana were functioning as designed. Her Hakuda was exceptional too. He couldn't help but apply the spar to his job and categorize the Kuchiki and Shinigami arts as effective.

"Yes, Aj. We can be done now. But don't forget where your power comes from. It comes from your heart, but also from the House Kuchiki, may it stand forever. So while you're out in the Sands, don't forget your home here. If we have need of you, we won't hesitate to call you back temporarily. That's just what it means to be a Kuchiki. We stand strong and united. Now, let's go see Siji and have some more to eat. I'm famished again."
